Star-Crossed
Chapter 10: Süda
Donquixote Rosinante x gn!reader word count: 1.8k next
“What in the everliving fuck just happened?” You turned, looking at Marco who started bursting into laughter. You were ready to deck him in all honesty. Though, your brain was currently focusing on the last thing that Law said. That Corazon even had a crush on you then. How the hell?
“That kid never ceases to surprise me.” You can never guess how he would react to something.  He had that stoic expression most of the time, which is why sometimes his bedside manner sucked ass. He only really expressed irritation or annoyance. His friends and Corazon seemed to be the only ones who could bring out the softer sides of him, it was a humorous thing to behold.
Marco looked at you with a lazy grin. “I told you that you're overthinking things. It's okay to be thanked for the things that you do. Like he said, some people meet their heroes and end up being ass anyway.”
You rolled your eyes and folded your arms across your chest. “I guess I'll talk to Corazon,” you mumbled, shaking your head. Marco was right. You were terrible at letting people show you the least bit of gratitude. You just felt like you were doing what you were supposed to. You were doing your job. Nothing all that special.
“Good. Cause he's actually here.”
The sheer speed in which your head snapped to Marco, you were surprised you didn't break it. “He had just dropped everything off when you showed up, so I told him to wait a bit. That I'd convince you to talk to him.” He stood up with a shit eating grin that made you want to punch him again.
“I'll be right back.”
You let out a loud groan once he left, covering your face with your hands. You weren't even sure what you were feeling right now. A migraine, for sure. You might have mostly cured your hangover but your entire body still hurt. Your original plan was to just come in and check in on everyone. A short and easy visit.
Now it was all complicated.
You looked at the bouquet again, taking one of the chocolate “flowers” shaped like a heart and examining it closely. It looked pretty good, smelled good too.
“They're coffee flavored.”
You jumped, looking up at the tall man in your doorway. You honestly felt your own heart almost leap out of your chest when you saw him. You didn't realize just how much you missed him until this moment. You had come to love his little visits and not having them made your life a little boring.
He stepped into the office, closing the door behind him. You watched his movements carefully, trying to gauge his mood right now. Him closing the door made you a little on edge, but you tried not to think about it. He turned to you, bowing his head slightly.
“My name is Donquixote Rosinante.” What…the hell was going on? Did he hit his head? “I’m from the Donquixote Family. My brother gave me the title of Corazon and even though I have long since left, I still use the name mostly because Law just never stopped using it and I didn’t hate it so here we are.” He walked towards you and you couldn’t back up as you were already pressed into your desk.
“I am no contact with my family. As far as I know, my brother still thinks I’m missing. I have one kid that I found a long time ago riddled with disease. He’s long since cured now.”
You still had no idea what was going on. What was this monologue?
“Hearts are kind of my thing because I am full of so much love for others - at least that’s what Bepo says. I just like hearts. My favorite foods are lettuce, cabbage, and umeboshi. I don’t like pizza or bread. I’m incredibly clumsy and break almost everything. I-”
“Rosinante.”
The man stopped talking, looking at you with surprise.
“What are you doing?”
He frowned. “Well, isn’t it obvious? I’m starting over. Being transparent. It’s…” He paused, losing whatever momentum he had.
You couldn’t help but laugh, shaking your head. “Cute but unnecessary.” You took a deep breath. “However.” You looked up at him.
“My name is y/n l/n. I am from the l/n family. My mother died when I was young and I was set to take over my father’s family. I was never really about that life and didn’t get the courage to leave it until a small child and his clumsy father came into my life, giving me the final push to leave.” You watched as Corazon’s eyes widened. He opened his mouth to say something, but you covered it with your hand to prevent him from saying anything.
“I took over this hospital and made it a safe haven for those who want to leave. And a neutral ground for those who need help. My best friend is Marco Newgate, son of Edward Newgate, or as you know him ‘Whitebeard’. We just call him ‘Pops’. I do enjoy coffee and coffee flavored things. The extra caffeine is something I always need.” You removed your hand from his mouth, looking up at him.
“We’re the reason you left?” It seemed he was hung up on that part. You nodded. “I had been thinking about it already and helping Law gave me that final resolve to do so. It seemed we both inspired each other.”
After a moment of processing your words, he finally spoke. “Well, it’s nice to meet you, y/n. I hope we can get along.” He smiled warmly at you, making your heart skip a beat.
“Nice to meet you too, Rosinante.”
He paused for a moment before sighing. “I really am sorry, though.” He frowned deeply. “You did nothing but treat Law, the boys, and I with such kindness and patience. All I did in return was end up pointing a gun at you just because of who your father was.”
“I did do the same thing to y-”
“But that’s not the same. You had just been attacked by my family and then you ran into me. You were scared and unknowing. In my situation, you didn’t do a single thing wrong. You did everything right and I still treated you like a criminal.” He sighed, resting his forehead on your shoulder.
You could feel your face slowly setting on fire. Your heart was racing a million miles an hour and you had no idea what to do. You took a deep breath, finally speaking. “I knew you weren’t going to shoot me.”
Corazon pulled away, looking at you.
“No offense, Ros, but you’re one of the least intimidating people I’ve ever met for one.” You watched his face turn red - whether it was from your comment or the spur of the moment nickname, you weren’t sure. “I don’t think you would’ve been able to pull the trigger. You thought I had lied to you and acted rashly, yes. But I knew that deep down you knew that I was right.”
“You disarming me in the least painful way possible and disassembling my gun before giving it back to me told me everything I needed to know. You don’t like hurting people and you trusted me. You gave me back the very thing that could kill you had I actually been determined to do so.”
You nodded, smiling. “Glad you saw it that way because that’s exactly the message I wanted to get across.” You sighed softly, shaking your head. “I was tired of all the violence. Of the killing. I hated doing it. That’s why I left. I wanted to help people.”
“I’m sorry,” he mumbled again. “I should’ve never-”
“Rosinante.” You used your firm tone that caused him to tense slightly and his face turned even more red.  You had to keep that in mind. “I swear if you apologize again, I’m not going to forgive you.” His eyes widened in surprise, nodding quickly. “I’m s-” He cut himself off. “Uh…yes, doctor,” he mumbled.
You snorted softly. “Law told me something very interesting,” you mused, looking up at him. Corazon blinked, tensing slightly. He narrowed his eyes. “What did he have to say?”
“That apparently you had a crush on me back then?” A sly grin appeared across your face.
His eyes widened and he started to sputter. You watched as his mind began reeling as he tried to find something to say to you. You grinned. “Real interesting considering I hid basically all the features that could give me away from you. Must’ve been my radiant personality.”
He only grew more red by the minute before he finally spoke. “I mean, how could I not? You’re literally the kindest and sweetest person I’ve ever met. Not to mention you’re incredibly intelligent and willing to help anyone no matter what, even if it reopens your own traumatic wounds.”
That shut you right up. This time you were the one going red and struggling to find something to say. You just stared at him with eyes the size of saucers. “I didn’t need to know what you looked like to know how I felt about you.”
“You sure that wasn’t just gratitude since I had just saved your son back this?” you tried to brush it off as nothing, but the look in Corazon’s eyes said something else. He shook his head. “I’m positive.”
Before you could get so much as another word in, there was a knock at the door. For fuck’s sake, could you not have fucking anything?
“Can I never have a minute?” You were mumbling and grumbling, folding your arms across your chest as you pouted slightly.
Marco walked in with an expression that immediately made you uneasy. “You know that I do not want to interrupt right now because no one has been waiting for this moment more eagerly than me. But…” He looked at you with a deep frown.
“Your father called. He wants you to visit the estate immediately. Didn’t say why.”
You just stared at Marco. What the fuck did your father want? Why now? He was just here. And as much as you appreciated him for contacting you in a more appropriate manner, you were annoyed that he did it right now. Didn’t he say everything he needed to the other day? Is the weird cryptic thing that Pops said earlier going to unfold now? Were you finally going to get some answers?
You looked at Corazon apologetically. “I-”
He shook his head, holding up his hand. “Just go. I’ll be here when you get back.” He smiled at you. “Marco said he programmed my number into your phone last night anyway, so call me when you get back.” You felt your face warm up. “I…” Man, you didn’t deserve a man with so much patience. You nodded. “Okay. Will do.” With that, you grabbed your coat and headed out of the office, silently cursing your dad for interrupting your love life not once, but twice.

I already mentioned this on my twitter before but thought I just wanna add it here lol so if any of you guys followed my art ig, you might notice that I closed off all of my replies, comments and dms and that's because I keep getting unwarranted dms but more importantly there is this one person on insta that i think is a bit....odd.
So there's this person that keeps following and then unfollowing me either hours or days later. Normally I won't notice this because I don't check on people's profile but the reason I remember this is because this person tried reaching to me before. Basically they said they were glad they found someone that likes professor and starts dumping to me about how they likes him ever since they were a kid and then they're married to Utonium.
First of all, yes, I am totally fine with sharing. But you have to agree with me that saying "Oh you like the fictional character that I liked? Thats so cool omg btw we are married before you know him" as if you are claiming that character first is weird. And second, I barely talk about my selfship, I only post my art. At least if you want to talk to me, don't open with something like "I'm Utonium's wife." Like ???? That is weird are you trying to assert dominance on me???
Anyway I didn't bother to reply to them and for the next few weeks they reply to my stories occassionally just to try and see if I will reply but of course I didn't reply so their last reply were "Hello?" And I don't get any dms from them anymore.
After that I keep seeing their acc following and unfollowing me and usually I will block immediately because it's always safe than sorry but whenever I want to do so their acc just gone so I didn't manage to do that so now the only way for me to keep myself safe is to just shut down all means of communication.
Anyway I am still okay with sharing just that I wish people have manners and try to talk to me normally instead of immediately trying to assert your ship to me lol I swear I am fine and if I'm nice enough I will literally draw the shared f/o and you for free because I want to but like if you creep me out, chances are I wont talk to you and probably block you lol

When you said I’m loving all of your asks do you mean just in general or that you can see if posts an ask even when anonymous? If so that’s embarrassing for me lol. Even so, here’s another ask - Carmen isn’t one to play up the sexy for his partner and the reader doesn’t really mind - Carmen is sexy just standing there honestly. But Carmen feels like he isn’t pulling his weight when it comes to trying to seduce his partner. So he decides to play it up by idk role playing, or playing music, or giving a strip tease etc. whatever your heart desires. 💜
LMFAO don't worry babe i meant it in general i can't really see who asks. also thanks for pulling me from the depths of writer's block with this one. i know it's not what you asked but it's what came out lol
i think he would definitely go for something romantic. He'd try to win you with what he knows best, splurge most of his already reduced salary on imported prosciutto and creamy honey and dates goat's cheese for a charcuterie board he'd make himself because he heard you tell syd once how you always found those so romantic.
it’s cold outside, so an indoor picnic it is. candles around the room that he considered a fire hazard but that warmed the room with a soft cinnamon scent. low music from his stereo, the gray sweater you liked and a few sprites of cologne are added just in time before you crossed the door.
“hey-” he’s slightly out of breath, covering what view he can from the narrow hallway to the living room setup. “how was work?”
he moved by your side, taking you by the shoulders and pressing a kiss over your hair, then helped you out of your coat as you rambled on.
“i swear one of these days i’m just gonna qui-” you stopped abruptly at the door to the living room, caught off guard by the multiple flickering lights. “...oh carmy.”
your face was unreadable from his position behind you and it could have been the lack of any movement from your part that made his hands grow clammy instantly and think that it might have been a stupid idea.
“you hate it.”
“what? no- no i’m-” it was only until you half turned towards him that he spotted the excited expression over your face, eyes slightly more dewy than normal. “carm, this is beautiful.”
carmy exhaled the deep breath caught in his chest, almost deflating, and finally closed the space between you. he circled his arms around you as your eyes danced around the little flickering lights.
“are we celebrating something that i forgot?” you asked, for a second slightly worried until you felt his cheek rub beside yours with a shake.
the music traveled in the air along with the sweet scent and he couldn’t help but sway from one side to the other in an effortless rhythm, taking you with him. “jus’ wanted to do somethin’ different.” is all he said
you turned  in his arms and placed a tender kiss over his cheek, taking a whiff of his intoxicating scent. your smile grew deeper into your face as you dug your nose into his neck and took a stronger inhale.
you groaned and began placing sweet kisses over the exposed skin above his sweater. “god, i love how you smell.”
carmy laughed into your hair, arms still tight around you while you continued to kiss him and he took step after step forward to guide you into the room. “c’mon, food’s gonna get cold.”
“it can wait.” you mumble, too entranced by the intoxicating smell.
he hissed slightly when the cold skin of your fingertips came in contact with the warmth under his shirt, but he didn’t complain, and he didn’t mind it either when your lips drew a sultry line up to his own.

an: thank you for 100+ followers! I forgot to announce it when I posted my reiner fic a few weeks ago.... but anyway! okay this is super long and I was considering breaking into two parts but yall are real champs and can def read 16k words lmfao (if not, just yknow like it and finish reading it later). i've got the hots for most of the jjk men and I am OBSESSED with emo goth boy!choso so here you go! title inspo comes from this PHENOMENAL song! enjoy xo
How does one make the most popular and loved girl on campus turn her bright-white, toothy smile upside down into a grimace of pure malice? Pair her up with the loner, emo, goth boy of course!
It was your sophomore year of college which meant getting rid of the same ol' prerequisites everyone and their mother must take during their undergrad. You flew by those classes with phenomenal grades, best of the best, one of the top of your class—and that was a ton of students to compare yourself to. After all, you came from a legacy, a bloodline who (all before you) attended the same university. Hell, there was a hall named after your clan. You were that person. Everyone wanted you or to be you. And you held your head high with the upmost confidence knowing this.
Except there was that one guy... the only person who knew how to get on every single one of your nerves, under your smooth and well maintained skin—Choso Kamo. If anyone else were watching from the outside in, they'd say the man did nothing wrong other than exist and breathe the same air as you, but somehow that irked you.
Everything about him irked you.
From the baggy, dark clothes he wore—shirts two sizes too big and jeans so loose with tears you weren't sure if he did them himself or if it was the style—to the dumb tape (tattoo? you weren't sure) across his nose. The endless amounts of piercings on his ears, septum, and (yes, you somehow managed to notice) his tongue. The god awful tattoos that peeked out from the loose sleeves of his tees when he wasn't wearing a jacket... to the chipped black nail polish on his fingernails and the many odd hairdos he did with his long hair.
Yeah, everything about him rubbed you the wrong way. Especially when he felt the need to skateboard everywhere he went on campus and nearly crashing into you multiple times.
It didn't help that he hung out with two other wackos—one being a pot head who had crackhead energy and the other always wearing the creepiest of grins and smirks as if he were plotting murders in his head.
God, Choso gave you the worst vibes. Of course he'd be assigned to work with you on a project for your Intro to Psychology class. It was a whole get to know someone better assignment that felt so kindergarten. Writing up a report relating to the lessons learned while also becoming friends with someone you didn't know? Hell, that was not going to be you.
You squirmed in your seat at the announcement, rubbing your forehead and sighing. Almost begging Professor Yaga to switch you with anyone... absolutely anyone.
"Don't worry so much," Utahime said as she poked your arm gently.
"I don't get why you're so bothered by his existence," Yuki laughed from behind you, tugging at your hair that sat almost perfectly down your back. "He's kinda hot with that emo vibe he gives off."
"Oh, god," Mei Mei rolled her eyes as she sat on the opposite side of you. "You have such poor taste in men. Bet he has no money."
"Mei Mei," Utahime sighed. "I can switch with you, I've got that knucklehead Satoru as my partner," she nudged her head back in the direction of where the man sat—nearly surrounded by girls fawning over him not so discreetly in the middle of a lecture. You looked over and scrunched up your nose. Wasn't like you had anything against him, actually, he was pretty intelligent and was at your level... he just was a bit too chaotic and always had a flock of girls following him around. It was quite annoying.
"It's fine," you huffed, nearly sinking into your seat before you straightened your back. "Yaga wouldn't allow it anyway. He's stubborn. I'll just... have to... get through it."
"Atta girl," Yuki patted your head as she leaned her chin on her other hand. "And while you're at it, give me his number. I'll gladly snatch him out of your hands once it's all over."
"Doubt I'll be getting anything out of him besides what's needed for the project," you shook your head as you shut your eyes, momentarily meditating to embrace what was to come. Opening your eyes and peeking over your shoulder to spot the man you were paired with, perched in the corner of the auditorium with his focus elsewhere, you cringed. He looked unbothered, completely uninterested and deadpan. He was slouched back in his seat, pen bobbing in between his fingers as his other arm draped over the empty seat beside him. It was then you noticed one of the two delinquents he hung out with was missing, leaving him alone with a talkative Mahito that had been bothering some poor kid beside him about god knows what. Just as you were about to look away, Choso's eyes shifted to meet yours, expression still barren, earning an eye roll from you before you turned your focus back ahead.
"Remember, this will count as 50% of your grade as the remaining 50% depends on how well you do on your exams and attendance. Don't miss class like a certain Getō did," Yaga spoke up. "Class dismissed."
"You know what I want to know?" Yuki started as your group of friends began gathering their things. "Why is it that Suguru and Mahito thought it was a good idea to get stitches as tattoos? Maybe that's what Choso is hiding under the nose tape."
"I thought they drew it on themselves?" Utahime furrowed her eyebrows.
"From what I've heard, they both lost a bet to Choso and had to get those god awful tattoos," Mei Mei spoke as she brushed some of her hair over her shoulder.
You, however, were in your own world. Their conversation went in one ear and out the other as you constantly found yourself stealing glimpses of Choso, annoyance clear in your expression. Anyone but him, really... Why did you have to be paired with him? You probably would've taken Suguru instead if he hadn't skipped. He used to be somewhat normal from what you remember. Back when he was best friends with Shoko and Satoru. You weren't sure what happened there but, to be fair, you didn't care much. Satoru was in his own world, enjoying the constant ego boosts and Shoko hung out with the medical students. You supposed they all went their separate ways.
Just as you were deep in thought, not realizing where you were staring or what you were doing, a masculine, monotone voice startled you. "If you're so intrigued, just take a picture of me."
Blinking a few times before gasping, you looked over to see Choso had been a few steps higher than you, leaning in to speak before walking past you with an indifferent expression on his face. As if he didn't just insult you, making you seem like you were interested in him. "As if!" You huffed, earning a few looks from your girlfriends. "It'd break my poor camera."
"Good one!" A sudden laugh made you jump again in your spot as Mahito patted your head before following Choso.
Swatting him away before running your fingers through your hair, you glared at the two who walked across the auditorium, towards the exit. "Jerks..." you mumbled before snatching your bag and lifting up your chin.
"They really get under your skin, huh?" Yuki pointed out.
"They're beneath me, that's all." With a wave of your hand and a flip your hair, you held yourself high and mighty before exiting the class. Yeah, you were prissy and a bit obnoxious but, hey, that's what everyone loved about you. And their opinions mattered the most... right?
Tumblr media
Choso never understood your hatred towards him. Actually, he didn't seem to care. Plenty of people hated him for whatever pathetic, judgmental reasons—and you probably the same—but there was something different about you. He couldn't quite put a finger on it, but it definitely felt like you were hiding something from him. From everyone.
In all honesty, you had him intrigued. What was it about you that was sounding sirens in his head? You dressed like you were trying to be Elle Woods, in pinks and pastels. You did your hair so neat and perfect—nothing like his chaotic nest. You always held your head high, wore this sweet perfume that was near nauseating. You drove a car he definitely couldn't afford. He was sure you were a spoiled brat of some rich entrepreneur—but he couldn't say you didn't deserve your class spot. Truly, you were intelligent; bright in all ways possible. That, he'd give you credit for. However, your personality? That way of being, so prim and posh? Something wasn't right. As if you were forced to be this way with all the eyes on you.
And maybe that's why he was so "excited" to be your partner for this assignment. He was going to figure it out, what it was that was hidden behind the makeup and hair pins, amongst those designer outfits and manicured nails. Who you truly were, deep inside.
It also didn't help that one day when he was skateboarding around campus to get from point A to point B, he so happened to pass by your car where you were sort of blasting nu metal from an artist he vaguely recognized. All alone, singing—practically screaming—in a secluded parking lot where you believed no one would see you.
Yeah, you definitely were hiding something from everyone.
Choso departed from Mahito after telling him he was going to stay behind to plan meet ups with you—which, in turn, got some vulgar remark from Mahito. The man with a twisted grin saying how you really needed a good lay and that he hoped Choso would be that. Choso, who was very used to Mahito's unfiltered mouth, didn't even bat an eyelash, just dismissed his friend and leaned against a wall.
"Mei Mei and I gotta split, we have to meet up with Shoko," Utahime spoke as you and your group piled out of the auditorium.
"And I've gotta go tutor Todo!" Yuki waved as she turned the opposite way, leaving you on your own. You didn't mind, wasn't like you didn't have a friend—or at least an acquaintance—in every corner. Actually, you were more than likely going to call up Kiyotaka to see if he wanted to meet you in the library for your weekly study sessions as you both were taking an economics class.
However, that thought went out the door when your focus landed on your beloved goth. In all his emo glory, leaning against a wall with one door propped up against it, you couldn't help but eye him from head to toe. Now that he was standing, you could truly see how big his shirt was on him and how much he really loved the color black. You were amazed he wasn't wearing black lipstick to top it all off. Maybe that was crossing the line for him. Who knows.
Realizing you were staring for much too long—and probably blocking the doorway—you sighed and approached him. "Let's get this over with."
Lifting his eyes from his phone as he scrolled through his socials, meeting your own—disinterested—pair, Choso stood straight with a huff before speaking, "it won't take us one hour to complete this assignment. We have weeks worth of work to do."
"So?" You then crossed your arms.
"So... miss top of her class, you can't half-ass this work. No matter how much you hate me," he said with tired eyes—a look he always carried. You wondered if he ever slept. He wondered if you still had your little heavy metal sessions.
The two of you stared at one another for longer than you should've. You let out a small scoff before rolling your eyes, "whatever. We can meet up for an hour daily. I think that'll be my limit for how long I can endure your demonic aura."
Eyeing you as you had turned your head to the side stubbornly, a small excuse of a laugh left his lips, "I'm not into satanism. Don't worry, Barbie doll, I'm not going to sacrifice you to some nonexistent deity."
Twitching at the nickname he gave you, you sighed and straightened your posture. He knew how to irk you. "Sure, whatever. Then why do you wear upside down crosses?"
"It's for the aesthetic, obviously," he said as if you should've known that. "Same reason why you love to wear those big pearls on your ears, or that scarf with that plaid pattern. Or even those red bottom heels," Choso listed as you found your cheeks heating up. Was he keeping tabs on you? Was he paying the much attention to what you wore? And why were you blushing?! "You call that fashion, I call this fashion," he said as he flicked the earring that dangled from his right ear.
"Creep," you mumbled before reaching into your bag and pulling out a small journal. Removing the pen from it and writing down something, you tore the piece and folded it neatly before handing it over to him, dropping it into his palm as he extended his hand out. "That's my address. Don't go about stalking me and seeing what I'm wearing. Be there at 8PM, no later. We can do this every Monday through Thursday for one hour. Don't bother me from outside that one hour. Got it?"
Looking at his palm, then down at you, he slid it in his back pocket before answering, "sure."
"Perfect! Now you can leave me be. And stop noting what I wear, loser," you stuck your tongue out before walking away. Yeah, you were mature. It just didn't help that you needed to get out of there, and fast. For some reason, your face felt hot and your heart was racing. You were afraid you were going to start stuttering if you stayed any longer. Why was he so nonchalant? And, damn, why did he smell so good?! You weren't even trying to sniff him, but his cologne knocked right into you. Also, why the hell was he so observant of what you wore? He had no right!
As if.... you weren't the same towards him.
He didn't need to know that.
Tumblr media
8PM on the dot. You heard someone knock on your front door, knowing very well it was Choso. You were home alone that evening—as you almost always were as your parents were too busy to focus on their only daughter. You were in the midst of tidying your room—making sure nothing too secretive was lying around—before you made your way downstairs, and to your front door. Sucking in a deep breath and forcing your best scowl, you opened the front door.
In all honesty, the hours that lead up to Choso's arrival were nerve wracking. You weren't sure why. Nothing out of this world, wasn't like he was anyone impressive. Yet you put more effort into your look than you should've for just lounging in your home and working on an assignment. You told yourself it was just how you were. You always looked your best, even at home. Even when you were in those little, pink shorts and an oversized sweater with a cartoon character on it that made you look smaller. It was the first thing Choso noticed when you opened the door—besides the fact that you had subtle makeup and your hair in two little space buns... reminding him too much of his own hairdo.
But, he knew better than to point that out. You'd chew him out.
"Still living with your parents?" He pointed out, though you were sure it wasn't a question and rather a statement.
"So?" You narrowed your eyes. "No point in living in the dorms when I live close to the university. Not everyone lives in a shoe box for an apartment," you crossed your arms as Choso simply blinked.
"And you know where I live because—"
"I— I don't!" You blushed. "I just assumed!"
A subtle grin on his lips as he stood at your door, one hand gripped on the strap of his backpack while the other was deep in the pocket of his grey sweats. So he did own a color outside of black? "And I'm the creepy one."
Snapping your eyes up from the spot they had landed on—definitely not the outline of his dick in his sweats—you hissed, "shut up."
"Can I come in? Or are we going to just stay here and banter?" He asked as you sucked in a deep breath, taking a step to a side and gesturing for him to enter. Without hesitation, he did so. Eyeing his surroundings. The formal living room with modern couches and decor, a dining table and several art pieces hung about. A few framed family photos spotted on the coffee table. It was quite... minimal for a home with a family. Much too clean and pristine. He was starting to understand why you were the way you are.
"Do you want... water or something," you grumbled as you offered, noticing how Choso was curiously studying your home.
"Nah, I've got my own bottle in my bag," he said before spotting your staircase. "Where're we gonna do this?"
Sucking in a deep breath, you pointed upward, "my room." Leading the way towards and up the stairs, you stopped on the second step before turning to look down at him, "don't even think about stealing anything or taking photos. Got it?" You pointed at him as he lifted his hands up in defense before you hummed, turning and treading up the steps.
"I was thinking about stealing one of your panties, but now that you say that—"
"Ugh, gross!" You exclaimed, shaking your head as your steps became stomps. "I wouldn't even doubt it..."
Slightly grinning to himself as he followed you, Choso came to a stop at your doorway as he eyed your bedroom. It was exactly as he expected. Pink... so pink... pink and white with cute things everywhere. Yet, so organized and cleaned up. Like... an unused children's room. This can't possibly be your happy space. So many plushies stuffed on your bed? Sanrio decorations on your desk? A vanity filled with endless makeup products? Well, maybe it was your happy spot. But... it felt like this was some experimental room you were tossed in and put under supervision to see if they could make you the perfect girl.
There had to be something hidden amongst all the bubblegum decor. Something that hinted to the real you.
"Do I sit in all those or in that..." Choso pointed at your bed covered in plush toys or your pink bean bag that sat on a white, fluffy rug. God, how could you even breathe in here?
"You can sit here," You corrected, pulling out your desk chair before you sat in the sea of teddy bears, somehow not disrupting the layout. As if there was a spot specifically for you. "You've got one hour, emo boy."
"Right," Choso sighed as he settled into the white chair.
Lifting your eyes from your laptop as you had flipped it open, you couldn't help but stifle a laugh. He stuck out of your room like a sore thumb. So out of place... Like a black rose amongst a bed of pink. For a moment, you thought it was cute. For a moment. "I'll start with the introductions," you spoke up after nearly clearing your throat from words that weren't uttered but thought out.
Reaching into his bag and pulling out his laptop, Choso looked at you for a moment to see you focused on your screen before his eyes darted around your room, looking for anything off. Your mattress, pillow... maybe behind your dresser or underneath your bean bag. Something hidden. You must've kept a secret collection of records somewhere. Maybe even black band tees. "Sure..."
You started asking the basic introductory questions: full name, where you were born, how old are you, what are you studying... so on and so forth. It was child's play. You wondered how Professor Yaga made this assignment so lengthy when it could've been completed with twenty questions or less. You assumed it was something psychological, suited for the class.
Typing out Choso's answers, he then started asking you the same ones, you answering without missing a beat—or making eye contact. "Lastly, what's your favorite heavy metal band?"
Feeling your lips part, you instantly sealed them as you lifted your focus and shot him a look. "That so is not a question!" You exclaimed, glaring.
Looking at you with a subtle smirk, Choso shrugged, "last one is a freebie for the introduction. You asked me why I am so emo, so I thought it was fair I asked you something I was curious about."
"First of all, you actually are emo. Second of all, I do not listen to heavy metal music. I have no idea where the hell you pulled that out of," you narrowed your eyes, but Choso only leaned back in the desk chair and sighed. "What?"
"Your little head banging sessions in your car beg to differ," Choso said as you blinked, eyes gradually widening as you instantly tossed your laptop onto your stuffed toys before standing to your feet. "The kitten has claws—"
"I don't know what you are talking about but you need to stop stalking me," you pointed your finger at him.
Lifting his hands up in defense, he sighed, "I don't know why you're being so defensive. If it isn't true, if I'm lying, you wouldn't care. But I'm not lying, I know what I saw. You haven't even denied it."
Clenching your jaw as your glared down at him, you pushed your hand against his laptop and shut it as your other hand settled on your hip, "sure, I listen to alternative music that isn't up to my quote unquote standards when no one is around. Sure, I love to scream and bang my head to release my inner frustrations through heavy metal. However, do you think anyone would believe you if you started spreading word? No, they wouldn't, because that's unlike me. I wouldn't do any of that," you said with your eyes still squinted. "Nice try, Choso."
"I have no intentions on spreading rumors—sorry, facts—about you. Actually, with me being the only one to know this, it means I was right about you," he said, looking up at you with that bored expression he so gracefully wore.
Arching an eyebrow, you leaned towards him, "right about what?"
A small smile appeared on his lips as he sat up, looking you in the eyes, "that you aren't who you seem. That all of this," he gestured to your room, "is nothing but a cloaking device forced upon you to hide who you really are. You're just a poor princess trapped in her tower of pink lies. Tell me I'm wrong."
Eyeing him as you kept your focus locked on his, taking in deep breaths, you nearly bit your tongue off. "You are so wrong."
Tumblr media
Choso was not wrong. Nowhere near wrong. Actually, he was burning hot with his assumptions and theories and intuition. You hated that. Yet, you couldn't avoid him. He was your partner and you weren't going to fail an introductory class. Damn that man.
You continued your daily meet ups at your place—sometimes at the library if you knew your parents would be home. Those happened seldom, and Choso didn't even have to ask to know why there was a change in environment. He was well aware your parents would despise him if they saw him. Now a week into your project, Choso was slowly learning more about you, more than what you put out. He was well aware that you had both beauty and brains, he wasn't going to lie, he had eyes. However, he started noticing the little cracks. The holes in you that were created by your own pillars—your parents. They wanted you you be the perfect little girl for them. Since you were the only child, they were so fixated on you and your achievements.
Probably why you had all those trophies from various competitions on a shelf in your home.
You didn't enjoy it, you didn't have to tell him for him to know. He saw it in your eyes whenever you lied and said you had fun competing as a child. (In reality, he was sure you wanted an actual fun childhood.)
It was obvious why you were the way you were. They were carving you out, shaping you the way they wanted. Not how you did.
And Choso was sure, if he pushed hard enough, he'd get you to tip over and break into a million pieces. Pull yourself back together, and bring out a better you. The real you.
Of course, that is once he gets on your good side.
"So how are things with you two?" Yuki asked as the two of you walked along the campus, leaving one of your shared classes. "I mean, you've hardly complained about him since we started working on the project."
Sighing as you held your journal against your chest, you looked off to the side. "He's— He's... there..."
"There?" She asked with a small snicker. "What the hell does that mean? Hey! You still haven't given me his number!"
"I'll give it to you later," you mumbled, looking up at the sky now, eyeing the scattered clouds and the distant birds flying below them.
"Later? Oh! So you did manage to get it, huh?" Yuki grinned, nudging you with her elbow.
"Yeah, a few meet ups in, solely to let him know where to meet up. Can't have my parents seeing him," you said, thinking about the reaction your parents would have if they saw Choso in your room. Oh, how they'd panic. Your father would lose his mind and your mother would—without a doubt—pass out. The thought made you chuckle.
"What's so funny?" The blonde beside you asked, eyeing you with an arched eyebrow.
"Nothing..." you hummed.
"Hmm..." studying you, Yuki then crossed her arms. "So, you've got a crush on him—"
Coming to a complete stop, you turned and eyed her, "excuse me? Repeat yourself? Deranged witch!"
"There she is!" Yuki pointed with a laugh. "For a second I thought I lost you there! You weren't being so bitchy—"
"Shut up," you rolled your eyes, turning back in your spot, continuing to walk. "I do not have a crush on him, where the hell did you get that from?"
"You haven't complained about him once and, well, you are his partner still... you haven't managed to convince Yaga to switch you. And don't give me the whole he won't bullshit, we all know everyone in the faculty and staff adore you. So, what's up? What's got you so... chill? You aren't even fuming like you normally would. C'mon, talk to me. You know I'm the best person to confess to," Yuki grinned with a flip of her hair.
Pinching the bridge of your nose, you shook your head, "there's nothing. We just meet up for an hour, do our work, then go our separate ways."
"So the assignment isn't bringing you two close? I know for a fact it's got 'hime and 'toru fu—"
Lifting a finger, you shook your head, "don't you finish that sentence. Please." Watching her lift her hands up in defense, you shook your head. "He's a hard man to open up. His responses are minimal and almost cryptic. He doesn't speak much when it comes to himself, but he seems very interested in me. Like he wants to unravel me. Creepy in my opinion but... whatever. If it's getting me an A, I'll do whatever."
Watching you wave your hand dismissively, Yuki tilted her head with a small grin, "unravel you, huh? Like... get in your panties—"
A gasp left you as your eyes widened. "Yuki, shut up!" You snapped. "No, it's like— he just wants to get to the deepest bits about me! Not that!"
"Deepest bits, like, having his thick, long, di—"
"I'm walking away now!" You said as you picked up your pace, only to hear her laughing. Yuki knew how to get under your skin, but not in a spiteful way. She just liked to bug you, your reactions were golden, so she could only imagine how you were when you were with Choso.
In all honesty, as much as she loved pestering you for his number, she couldn't help but think... you two would actually be quite the power couple. There was something about opposites attracting that made her swoon, especially when it was her little, preppy, best friend and a very handsome, depressed looking, goth boy. The image of you two being together made her smirk. She needed to do something about it.
Walking towards your car as you let out a huff of annoyance, you pulled your keys out from your bag and eyed your surroundings for a moment. Secluded. Just like how you liked it. This was why you always parked here, towards the back of the campus near the history wing. Not many people ventured this way, it was the perfect hideaway.
Unlocking your car and slipping inside, you set the keys in the ignition and plugged your phone in. Taking in a deep breath as you settled in your seat after tapping your favorite playlist, you started bobbing your head to the music. Then, before you knew it—as the rhythm was flowing through you—you started singing (screaming?) along. You were so into it that you nearly forgot your surroundings. That is until your eyes landed on your favorite loner.
There, standing across the way on the sidewalk with one hand clutched onto his skateboard and the other holding his cigarette in between his index and thumb, was Choso. Watching you with a smirk on his lips. When did he get there? How did you not notice? You weren't even a song into the playlist!
With a huff, you lowered the volume and shoved your door open, not bothering to shut it as you stomped over towards the stoic man. He simply stood there, taking a drag and puffing air as you came up, practically barring your fangs. It was cute to him, you looked like an angry kitten. "You!" You pointed as Choso simply took another drag.
"Yeah," he breathed, watching as you stopped before him, just before the curb as he stood towering before you with the additional inches from the sidewalk.
"Where— Where the hell did you come from?!" You shrieked.
"My mother's—"
"No! I didn't see anyone!" You whined as Choso sighed, taking one last inhale from his cigarette before putting it out.
"What? Bummed someone knows you have little therapeutic head banging sessions?" He slightly tilted his head. It was then you noticed his hair was down, in all it's disarray glory, sat beneath a dark grey bucket hat. He wore a baggy tee again, a plain black one and matching sweats. His feet covered in beat up converse this time around. You were so deep in your studying—gawking—that Choso cleared his throat.
Snapping out of it, you looked up at him again and frowned, arms folded as you stomped a foot pathetically, "what is it that you want from me?!"
"Nothing, really," he shrugged. "Just that you quit being someone you're not. Y'know, for someone who judges others for being their true selves."
Fighting the urge to gasp, you bit your tongue, instead, grabbing his hand and yanking him. You pulled him along to your car, opening the passenger door and nearly shoving him inside. Shutting the door behind you, you then rounded the car and took the drivers seat. With the sound of the car locking, you turned up the volume again and sat there with your arms crossed. Your focus was straight ahead as Choso took a minute to take in his surroundings. Your car—a cute, white, Mini Cooper—smelled like spring days. Nothing out of place, cleaned as if you've never used the car before. You had a little dancing flower on your dashboard and a pink ribbon wrapped around your mirror into a bow. Yet, the music emitting from within did not match the interior.
Eyeing the screen before him, he then leaned back into the seat, recognizing the artist as one he listened to religiously. "So, are you kidnapping me?" He asked, turning his attention ahead, eyes aimlessly gazing around his surroundings.
"No," was all you said before raising the volume up. "I know you won't say anything, no one would believe you anyway." Feeling his eyes on you, you bit your inner cheek before mumbling, "and it's nice... having someone to enjoy this with..."
Seeing the way you stubbornly kept your focus anywhere but on him, Choso couldn't help but tease you, "I think you're finally getting soft on me—"
"Don't get used to it!" You snapped, now looking and pointing at him.
Lifting his hands up in defense, Choso looked ahead once again with a small sigh, "is it okay if you go over my place tonight?"
Blinking, your eyebrows narrowed, "why?"
"It's personal," was all he said, voice lower than before. You couldn't help but frown. Personal? "I can't leave home tonight."
"Oh... Kay..." You trailed, studying him and seeing how his demeanor changed, no longer in a teasing mood. "Fine. Since you were such nice company, I'll allow it."
Rolling his eyes, Choso couldn't help but feel a twitch of a smile grow on his lips, "whatever. I'll text you my address."
Tumblr media
"Apartment 310..." you sighed, eyeing the grey door before you decorated in nothing but a peephole and... an odd decoration hanging from the door knob. Something resembling that of a child's creation in arts and craft class. You'd have to ask Choso about that—
The sound of heavy, rapid footsteps and excited yelling was heard from the other side of the door, causing you to lean in with furrowed brows. Did he have company? Or was that a really loud TV? Knocking on the door as you had leaned back and stood straight, you heard the heavy footsteps once again—except this time approaching. Seeing the door swing open, your eyes widened.
"What—" seeing no one before you, no sign of Choso, you tilted your head. "Who—" lowering your focus, a pair of big, bright eyes gazed up at you. A little boy, easily 4 or 5, stood before you with a look of awe. His pink hair was messy—ruffled in different directions, as he wore a hoodie with tiger ears and matching shorts plus white socks covering his tiny feet. "Oh... this must be the wrong place... I'm sorry—"
"Yuji! What did I tell you about opening the door?!" Hearing a familiar voice call out—much more intense than you had ever heard of before, you turned your head to see Choso approaching. However, the sounds of whimpering caught your attention as the little boy—which you now learned was named Yuji—was tearing up. "Oh no... I'm sorry, I didn't—" kneeling before the little boy and lifting him in his arms, Choso rubbed his tiny back. "I didn't mean to scare you. But, please, listen to me, okay?"
"O— kay..." the little boy sniffled.
Watching this all unfold, eyes wide in shock, you shook your head and swallowed. What... just happened? Who was this little boy? And why did the sight before you—Choso being so gentle—make your insides twist? "Umm..."
"Come in," Choso nudged his head for you to follow. You, closing the door behind you, did so. He lead you to the living room (which was really just a couple of steps ahead of you) as he sat on the couch, settling the little boy down and wiping his tears as you slowly sat besides the older man. "You can play for thirty more minutes but you must clean and put away all your toys and get ready for bed after, okay?"
"Mhm!" Yuji nodded his head in excitement, only to turn his head to look at you, gasping as he nearly had forgotten you were there. "Choco, is this your girlfriend?" The little boy asked, suddenly all giddy, causing your heart to skip a beat as your eyes widened. Girlfriend?!
"No, she's just a classmate," Choso clarified as you frowned, slightly offended for whatever insane reason. As if you should be insulted by that! Why did he answer so casually? How was he always so calm?! "Why don't you introduce yourself?"
"Okay!" The little boy exclaimed, taking quick steps to stand before you, "hi! My name is Yuji Itadori!"
Blinking a few times, looking down at his tiny hand as it was extended towards you, you took it in your own and gently shook it. "Hi, Yuji... I'm—"
"I know who you are!" He gasped, saying your name as he pointed at you while jumping. "Yeah! That's you! Choco talks—"
"Okay, Jiji, that's enough, go play with your toys," Choso shooed him as Yuji frowned, then gave the older man a small glare before stomping away, mumbling to himself.
Letting out a small breath, you looked at Choso, "you're a young father... he must look a lot like his mom."
"I'm not his dad," Choso clarified, shaking his head as he was covering his mouth, still processing what Yuji was about to say. With a deep breath, he then leaned back against the couch, "his my little brother. Half brother, actually, but... yeah. I'm his legal guardian."
Eyeing Choso as he had yet to look at you, almost as if he were deep in thought, you simply nodded. This must've been what was personal. His little brother, Yuji. "Oh... I see." Not wanting to press, you opened your bag and pulled out your laptop to get ready for your hour session. Just before you did, you gave him one look, realizing he was still dressed similarly to earlier—hair down, a t-shirt and sweats, but now no sneakers... only socks. Turning back to your laptop, Choso did the same as he lifted his from the coffee table before him, getting straight to work.
Tumblr media
Thirty minutes had passed and Choso excused himself for a moment, mentioning how he had to make sure Yuji put himself to bed. As he did that, you continued your work, even if your mind was wandering off to uncharted waters. Thoughts of Choso... Choso being a fatherly figure. Again, it was stirring something unwanted within you. You had to force yourself to think about something else.
That is, of course, until a shadow casted upon you. You looked up, behind you to see Choso looking down at you. A small yelp left you as you gulped, quickly turning your attention away as you noticed Yuji standing beside him—hand in hand with Choso. "Oh?" You blinked as the little boy smiled. You realized he was now dressed in his pajama—a cute, dark blue set, with little animals scattered around it.
"I wanted to say good night! So... good night!" He waved with his free hand.
"Good night, Yuji. It was nice meeting you," you smiled back at him before Choso guided him back to his room. The grin on your lips wouldn't fade away, you had to admit, Yuji was adorable.
The cutest kid you've ever met. Hearing distant mumbling, your curiosity got the best of you as you settled your laptop onto the coffee table and stood up. Quietly walking to the small hallway where the two bedrooms and bathroom sat, you carefully peeked over. Choso was kneeling before Yuji's bed, reading a bedtime story. You could see the little boy was fighting sleep as his eyes fluttered closed. Choso noticed this, too. Standing up and making sure all of the plush toys were surrounding him—the way his little brother liked it—Choso leaned in and kissed his forehead good night before gently caressing his hair.
Your heart was racing. You hadn't noticed it. Forcing yourself to look away and walk back to your spot on the couch, you found yourself nibbling on your bottom lip. Trying to focus on your work, you couldn't seem to get passed the single word you typed out. The images of Choso caressing Yuji's back, wiping his tears, holding his hand... and tucking him in... it made you feel so uneasy. It made your heart race. It made your face heat up.
"Okay, he's asleep," Choso said, snapping out of your thoughts as you clinched. He noticed but stayed silent.
"I can keep meeting you here if you need me to," you said, eyes practically glued to your screen, refusing to look up at him. You knew if you looked him in the eye you'd do something foolish. Probably even blush.
"I normally have a babysitter if he doesn't have his evening karate class... but money has been getting tight," he confessed, causing you to look up at him as he reached for his laptop and sat back down. You couldn't help but feel sympathetic. As much as you weren't fond of Choso—for petty reasons—you could only imagine how much he was struggling to raise a little boy on his own.
"It's okay, you don't need to explain," you said, "I like Yuji. He seems like a really sweet boy."
Looking at you, Choso wore a subtle smirk, "he's my bloodline."
"Whatever," you playfully rolled your eyes. "He's innocent and I like his hair."
"You don't like mine?" Choso slightly tilted his head, letting the strands fall to a side. You couldn't help but smile, shaking your head. "No? Wow. Is it because it's not pink?"
Letting out a small laugh, you reached over to touch his hair without thinking. You wrapped some around your finger, twirling it before letting it fall loose, "it's not so bad..."
"I'll take that as a compliment."
Eyeing one another as a comfortable silence fell between the two of you, you felt your heart begin to race the more you looked at him. Shyly looking away, you cleared your throat. "Let's finish today's work."
Studying you and the subtle blush that tinted your cheeks, Choso nodded. "Yeah."
Tumblr media
It was becoming more and more apparent to Choso how much you were softening up to him. Maybe it was because you saw a different side of him after your first visit to his place... or maybe you just wanted to be seen as a saint in little Yuji's eyes. Whatever it may be, you weren't so easily agitated anymore. It caught him off guard when you started giving him small smiles—in which his would subtly reciprocate. He had to test his waters, of course. Maybe you were smiling to someone behind him? But no, it was towards him.
Then, you started inviting him to your little in-car-concerts. He would recommend you music that you'd soon find yourself playing on repeat while alone or in the comfort of your earphones. Other times, you'd recommend him songs in which he'd learn the lyrics to almost the very next day—Choso wouldn't admit it to you, but he kind of wanted you to be impressed. And, you were.
Choso also noticed just how attached his little brother grew to you. Every visit you made for your hourly sessions, you found yourself coming earlier and earlier to spend time with the little boy. He had always asked you to play with him or to watch his favorite movie, but you had told him you couldn't while working on your project, so, of course—in his infinite wisdom—little Yuji suggested you come earlier. And you did.
There was even a routine you started with the duo: helping out Yuji to sleep, even if Choso insisted You didn't have to (you had to, solely because Yuji begged you to... and you did want to, too).
You were... changing, to say the least; and Choso wouldn't complain nor want to stop it.
However, your parents began to notice.
It wasn't as subtle as you thought. You were well aware of the change in demeanor you had. You were nicer to those you once were quite bitchy to. You weren't so stuck up nor snobbish—as Yuki liked to point out—and you were actually associating yourself with others you once saw beneath you.
This... wasn't a good look, at least, not in your parents eyes.
"Why are you always sneaking away?" Your mother had asked. An odd question coming from her when she nor your father were never around. "Are you secretly dating someone?!"
Growing wide eyed, you shook your head. "No? I have an assignment I've been working on with a partner. We meet up together."
"Uh huh," your mother crossed her arms. "Don't think we don't notice these changes," she gestured at your figure. "Your attitude is becoming much too laid back and care free. You aren't on time like you used to be and you are becoming careless with your fashion! Are you on drugs?!"
"Mom! Of course not?!" You shrieked, narrowing your eyebrows at her accusation. "I'm not changing, I'm still me!"
"Yeah? Is that so?" Walking around the kitchen counter and pulling out something, your eyes widened at the sight of your (what once was hidden) vinyl records. "Satanic music!" She waved them as she approached you again, then handing them to your father who stood beside her. "I will not tolerate this!"
Watching your father snap the records, a sharp gasp left your lips as your eyes instantly welled up in tears. "That— That isn't satanic music! That's just music! It was a gift! How could you?!" You cried out as your body trembled at the broken pieces on the ground. A gift Choso had given you during one of your sessions after remembering you had a record player.
"You think we don't know what the hell this is?!" Your father finally spoke, shaking the two pieces in his hands. "You, sneaking around behind our backs?! You probably have been smoking pot in your room—"
"I'm not! It's just music, for heaven's sake—"
"Don't you raise your voice!" Your father snapped as you hiccuped.
"You— You two are being ridiculous! Over music?! You broke a gift someone important gave to me!" You exclaimed, chest heaving as the anger and rage boiled up within you. You were blinded that you hadn't realize the confession you made, too focused on the fact that they had destroyed the practically brand new vinyl you were afraid to touch because you wanted to preserve them. Yet, that went out the window. "All because you're too scared your perfect daughter isn't all about unicorns and rainbows anymore because she's a damn adult! I'm sick and tired of being someone you want me to be that I'm not!"
Hearing them scoff your name, you shook your head and turned to grab your keys, ignoring their yells as you stormed off. You didn't look back, slamming the main door of your home behind you before rushing into your car and speeding off. Your vision was blurred from the endless tears as you continuously wiped them away. You didn't seem to care about speed limits or being pulled over, you just wanted to get away as far as possible.
And as far as possible was at Choso's.
You found yourself crying into his chest the moment he had opened the door. He lead you to his couch—that you grew familiar with—and settled you there before coming back with tissues and water. He wiped your tears as you explained what happened, whimpering along the way as Choso frowned for you. The more he learned about you, the more he knew you were just a bystander of your parents ruthless grip. He was sure the person you had been becoming around him was the woman inside begging for freedom... and to see you cry like this? Sobbing over the gifts he gave you and snap at your parents? His heart was aching.
At some point, a worried Yuji came waddling in with a plush toy—one you learned to be his favorite—as he handed it to you for comfort. Claiming it made him feel better when he was sad. You thanked the little boy as you caressed his cheek before hugging his tiny body. He couldn't help but stay lingering, sitting beside you in hopes you'd feel better.
"You're welcome to come over whenever you want," Choso offered. "Even if I'm not here, I have a spare key hidden under my front mat. Not wise, I know, but things happen."
Smiling at him as you sipped at the water Choso had handed you, you shook your head, "I couldn't... I don't want to intrude."
"Believe me, you're not," he said, looking you in the eyes with a worried expression. "I rather you feel safe and wanted here than anxious and afraid in what's supposed to be your own home."
Looking down for a moment at the stuffed Spider-Man in your hold, you then looked over at Choso, "thank you."
"You can sleep over!" Yuji exclaimed as he bounced in his spot. "We can watch a movie and—and eat popcorn!"
Looking over at the eager, little boy, you let out a soft chuckle, "okay, Jiji." Seeing him clap in excitement, he pushed himself off the couch and rushed away to his room.
"I'll get you something to sleep in, and you can stay in my bed," Choso stood as you turned your attention to him, watching him walk away. Before you could protest, he waved his hand, "don't worry about it. I've fallen asleep plenty on the couch with Yuji."
Tumblr media
Choso's clothes were even baggier on you. The shirt was a dress and the sweats he offered hung so loosely you had to tie them up with a spare hair tie. However, you didn't seem to mind. They were comfortable and they... smelled like him. You hated to admit it, but the times you've got whiffs of him, you indulged. He smelled so good, like fresh laundry. There was a hint of spice, maybe the subtle cologne he used or the possibility that he liked his home smelling like the fall. Whatever it was, it filled your senses as you lied on his bed and it... made you feel safe.
After watching a movie with Yuji—which he chose to be Big Hero 6–you retired for the night. Choso gave you brand new toiletries to use as needed as well as clothes, telling you to feel free and use whatever you needed. It made you feel... wanted. You hadn't felt like this in so long. Sure, your friends were wonderful people, but even then you hadn't felt like this. You couldn't quite describe it, really. Besides the feeling of being noticed and needed, even if it was subtle, there was that thing bubbling within you that only Choso ignited.
Turning on your side and seeing the analog alarm clock on his bedside table, you sighed. It was half past midnight and, for some reason, you couldn't sleep. Maybe it was being in someone else's bed. Maybe it was your parent's words. Whatever it was, it had you getting up and wrapping a throw over your body as you aimed for the living room.
Gently nudging Choso as he seemed sound asleep, resting on his back as he took the entire length (and more) of the couch, you frowned. "Choso..." You whispered.
Mumbling and groaning, the sound made you blush as he peeked an eye, "what is it?"
"Sorry... I can't sleep..." you confessed. "Umm... can you... can you come back to bed with me? Maybe having someone there will make me feel at ease..."
Rubbing his eyes as he sat up, Choso grabbed the pillow he slept with and tossed the blanket over the cushions before following you to his room without a word. Maybe it was because he was half asleep, but he so easily slipped into his bed, lifted the sheets for you to join him, and casually spooned you from behind. You were flustered at first—of course! But then you eased into his warmth with a pleasant sigh as you closed your eyes.
Only to open them at the sound of faint whimpering.
Sitting up, you looked around the room, only to see Yuji standing at the foot of the bed—one arm wrapped around his Spider-Man plush as his other had his tiny hand balled into a fist, rubbing his eye. "Yuji?" You quietly called to him. "What's the matter?"
"Nightmare..." he pouts. "Choco let's me sleep with him when I have them..."
"Oh," looking over at Choso and seeing he was dead asleep, you looked back at Yuji. A soft smile graced your lips before you waved a hand for him to join you. "C'mon, the more, the merrier."
Crawling up to you as you helped settle him in between you and Choso, you pulled the quilt over the two of you before petting his hair, telling him to sleep well. That he was safe.
Just like you.

Morning had come and you woke up to both Yuji and Choso gone from the bed. You went to do your (simplified) morning routine as you washed your face and brushed your teeth. Once exiting the room, you were greeted with breakfast—Yuji happily nomming away as Choso looked as if he were about to leave somewhere.
"Morning," you greeted as Yuji patted the seat beside him—in which a full plate of food sat. "Where you headed off to?" Eyeing Choso and seeing he was in a pair of black jeans and a band tee—with his beloved Doc Marten's and hair in its spiked buns—you tilted your head.
"I've got work," he said. You recalled him mentioning he worked at a record shop (see broken vinyls that were once your prized possession from him). "I have to take Yuji to a family friend to babysit—"
"Oh, let me," you offered. "It's the least I could do. Let it be my thank you," you nodded. "I'd have to get some stuff from my place but I can bring him with me. I'm sure Yuji wouldn't mind."
Nodding his head eagerly, Choso looked at his little brother, then you, "alright, I guess that's okay. I'll have to let Nanami know."
"Nanamin will get why!" Yuji waved his tiny hand. "Choco's pretty friend will babysit! She's now Yuji's best friend!"
"What about Megumi and Nobara?" Choso asked as he leaned over Yuji to steal some of his bacon, earning a swat from the little boy.
"They— They are!" He exclaimed. "But now I have an older best friend!"
Smiling at them, you gave Yuji's cheek a gentle pinch, "I'd happily be your best friend."
"Yay!" He clapped before sticking his tongue out at Choso.
"Okay, okay," Choso waved a hand. "I'll go ahead and put his car seat in your car so you have it ready."
"Okay, thanks," you said as you began to eat. You couldn't help but feel excited to spend the day with Yuji... as odd as that sounded. He was an entertaining little boy and he really seemed to love you like his own blood.
Tumblr media
"Okay, Yuji," You said as the little boy gawked at the size of your home, calling it a castle. You showed him around the house, even your backyard, before you made your way up to your room. "I'm going to shower and then we can head back to your home, okay?"
"Okay!" Yuji's muffled voice called out as he had now found himself stuffed in the horde of plush toys on your bed. He couldn't help but toss himself in it the moment he saw them all. You didn't mind, whatever made the boy happy.
"Stay there, alright?" You pointed as he rolled over and nodded, only to spot a pink dog. "Yeah, has your color, huh?"
"Same hair!" He pointed at his head, earning a sweet chuckle from you.
"I'll be quick," at that, you closed the door and took a quick shower. You folded up the clothes Choso leant you and reminded yourself to wash them at his place so your parents weren't suspicious if you left them at home.
Changing into a pair of grey leggings and an oversized, white hoodie that had TOKYO written across the chest in varsity letters, you slipped on socks and exited the bathroom. Just as you reached for a pair of sneakers, you noticed Yuji was knocked out on the plushes. Smiling, you slipped the shoes on, grabbed your tote bag that you filled with your things—plus Choso's clothes—then reached for Yuji and held him against you as he rested against your shoulder.
Careful enough to leave your home and shut the door quietly, you put him back into his car seat and buckled him in before you went for the drivers seat and made your way back to Choso's.
That afternoon was quite busy. You finished up your assignments that were due the following week, did some cooking for lunch that you enjoyed with Yuji, played with him and watched movies, then cooked again for dinner. For the most part, Choso's fridge was filled with a lot of children's food. The occasional fruit and vegetable, too. But a lot of kiddie portions. He truly cared for his little brother, it warmed your heart how attentive he was. How responsible and how much of an effort he put into Yuji's life.
After dinner, you took Yuji for a small walk to get some fresh air and enjoy the sunset. You sat at a park bench for a bit and talked about his favorite TV shows and video games before you walked hand in hand back to his home.
Watching some episodes of a TV show you loved as a kid—one Yuji never knew of—the two of you dozed off on the couch. This was what Choso came home to.
His heart raced at the sight, you with Yuji curled up against you as you shared a blanket. A small smile grew on his lips as he took his shoes off and quietly walked over. Carefully lifting up Yuji, ready to put him to bed—as it seems you had already taken care of bathing, brushing his teeth, and changing him into his pajamas—you squirmed awake. "Good evening, princess."
Sighing, you stretched before sitting up. "Hi."
"You can stay again, if you'd like," Choso offered but you shook your head with a gentle smile.
"I should go home... even though my parents don't seem to care as I haven't received a single phone call or text," you sighed, standing up to gather your things before walking to his front door.
Following you, Choso opened the door for you with his free hand as his other kept Yuji against his shoulder. "Like I said before, you have a place to stay here."
Looking up at him as you felt your heart flutter, you smiled again. A silence washed upon you two as you quietly gazed at one another. Tiptoeing, you gave his cheek a sweet, lingering kiss, before settling back, "thank you."
Eyeing you as his focus flickered between your eyes and your lips, Choso felt himself leaning forward, just about ready—
Feeling Yuji squirm, Choso straightened his posture as you blushed, waving goodbye before exiting his apartment. "Yeah... goodnight, princess..."
Tumblr media
"...and then... I kissed his cheek. After that, I could've sworn we would've, you know..." you waved your hand, "kissed..."
"Kissed?!" Yuki exclaimed as you shyly nodded, blushing. You had told her everything from your parents wrongfully snapping at you, to you staying with Choso... up until you left the following day. Which had been yesterday. "Why didn't you?!" She gasped as she leaned towards you.
The two of you sat on a bench out in the main, open courtyard, usually doing this after your shared class before moving onto your next one. "I— I don't know... but, either way, I shouldn't..." you sighed, fiddling with the hem of your dress.
"Why not?" Yuki furrowed her eyebrows.
"Because... it'll never work out. We can't be together..." you trailed before sitting up with wide eyes. "Either way, it's not like I have feelings!"
Narrowing her eyes as she stared at you, Yuki shook her head, "I think you're lying. You wouldn't be this way if you didn't feel anything for him. You've changed, in a good way. You're telling me you stayed in his home, in the same bed... and feel nothing? The fact that you ran to him before thinking of anyone else, like... me?! And then you two almost kiss?! Come on!" She threw her hands up before slumping in her seat. "You've gotta follow your heart, and it's clear what she wants."
Turning your focus away from her, your heart skipped a beat. In the distance, you spotted the man of the hour walking alongside Mahito and Suguru. Swallowing the sudden lump in your throat as he noticed you, you shyly waved with a faint smile as he reciprocated the action.
Grinning at the sight, Yuki nudged your knee with hers, "can't knock it till you try it."

After the incident with your parents, you found yourself showing up at Choso's much earlier than normal. He didn't question, knowing very well you were avoiding your parents, simply welcoming you in (more like Yuji shoving his older brother to a side to hug your legs and shriek your name). You truly have grown to love Yuji more and more after each passing interaction.
You and Choso finished your work earlier than usual, deciding to sit together and watch some TV with Yuji sat in between. Usually, he was playing with his toys or Switch, but he always made time to be with you. Even if he was in the middle of using his brother's phone to FaceTime his two best friends. As you were in the midst of watching comedy reruns, Yuji was in the middle of squealing and laughing, talking loudly as one of his best friends—Nobara—basically met his level of excitement. You had actually met his two best friends a few times after Yuji had them over. You learned that Nobara was like his long lost twin while Megumi was the level headed one of the three. Usually quiet, but every now and then showed his own wave of emotions that almost matched the other two.
"Say hi!" Yuji said as he lifted the phone to your face.
"H— Hi, you two," you waved as you gently pushed the phone back so you could see them properly.
"Hi!" Nobara waved happily, sitting up in her seat and giving you a toothy grin.
"Hello," Megumi shyly waved as you chuckled. Yuji claimed Megumi had a crush on you, but you liked to think he was just timid. (Though, you weren't sure how, when his parents—who you had met that same day you had met him—were the complete opposite of him).
Suddenly with his eyes glued on the TV and practically dismissing his best friends, Yuji pointed, "a festival!" He said, watching the ad that appeared on the screen. "Choco, can we go?" He asked, wide eyes looking up at his big brother while kicking his legs in excitement. "All three of us?!
"Sure, if she wants to," Choso said as he ruffled Yuji's hair before the little boy looked up at you, awaiting your response.
"Oh, of course!" You nodded before bringing the phone back to the little boy's attention. "We can go Friday night." Already distracted by his best friends, you let out a small laugh before looking at Choso who shrugged.
The upcoming days went by like a breeze. To your luck, your parents were away on a business trip (without telling you until your mother's assistant left you a text). You rolled your eyes and didn't seem to care, you were used to being on your own rather than have a set of parents around to raise you. It was something that haunted you during your late night thoughts. However, unlike before, you had two people that made your days seem a lot better. Two people you felt as if you could breathe around and not have to worry about proper etiquette and perfect manners.
Friday had finally arrived and your classes came and went. You had met Choso at his place and carpooled with him after letting Yuki know where you'd be. The girls had made last minute plans to go to the movies but, like the great person she was, Yuki offered to make an excuse for you. No one but her knew how close you had grown to Choso. It wasn't like you were... intentionally hiding it, it was known he was your partner. However, you didn't think it needed to be known. It wasn't like you were a couple.
Now enjoying your time at the festival, playing games together (in which Choso had to help Yuji), eating great food and riding some rides, you had won Yuji a tiger plushy that was the size of him. He was a happy boy, but the smile on his face was wider than you had ever seen. He thanked you profusely as he hugged it tight and decided to name it after you (you didn't mind, it was a cute gesture).
Now seated on the ferris wheel as you eyed the environment around you, Yuji sat in between you and Choso as he watched the fireworks with stars in his eyes. You couldn't help but look at Choso with a gentle smile as he looked at you. Soft gazes being exchanged as you felt your heart race, blushing before the two of you looked away. You hated how fast your heart would beat within your chest whenever the two of you made eye contact. It made your stomach turn each time... Maybe Yuki was on to something when she said listen to your heart. As obvious of advise as it was.
"I had a great night," you said as you were now back at Choso's place, standing before your car as he held a sleeping Yuji in one arm and his giant stuffed tiger in the other. "Thanks for inviting me."
"Don't thank me, thank Yuji," he nudged his head towards the sleeping little boy, causing you to chuckle. "I'm glad you came. I would say it must be lonely going back home, but you must be used to it."
"Yeah, I am," you sighed. "But at least I had fun and I can think about that if I get in my head," you tapped your temple, earning a small smile from Choso. "I hope to do something like that again."
"Yeah, me too..." he nodded, eyeing you.
A silence weaved before the two of you as your eyes gazed into one another's. Taking in deep breaths as you could hear the blood pumping within your ears, you tugged Choso down by the collar of his shirt as your lips pressed against his own. Your other hand slid into his hair, through the loose bun he held it in as you tilted your head to deepen the kiss. You didn't think much into it, actually, you felt you were in a fever dream as your tongue slid against his bottom lip before his tongue met your own.
As if you realized what you had just done, you pulled away and took a small step back, looking down at Yuji's resting body before wiping your lips with the back of your hand. "Sorry— I shouldn't have done that. I need to go." Without hesitating, you turned and rushed to the driver seat of your car, leaving Choso with a heart thudding in his chest and confusion floating around his head.
Then Monday came around. You had the intention to act like nothing happened when you met up at his place, casually conversing with Yuji and enjoying your time before you got to work. However, Choso was on a different boat. You were breaking out of that disguise and showing your real self, and having you kiss him said a lot. Why the hell would he act like it didn't happen when you clearly wanted it?
"Stop looking at me like that," you said as you typed away.
"How do you expect me to?" Choso asked.
"By looking away?" You shrugged but Choso rolled his eyes, closing your laptop as you gasped. "Hey—"
"I don't know who you've been with before, how your past relationships or whatever were like, but I don't do hookups or whatever the hell the kiss on Friday initiated. You tried acting like nothing happened these past three days, even though you were clearly avoiding me and my messages. Yuji wanted to take you to the aquarium yesterday and you simply left me on read only to answer hours later—"
"Oh, god, it was just a dumb kiss!" You rolled your eyes.
"So dumb that there was tongue?" Choso lifted an eyebrow.
"I got carried away, alright? It meant nothing," you clarified, but the sudden tremble in your tone was a dead giveaway.
"So if I kissed you right now, it wouldn't do anything? You'd feel nothing?" He asked as you nodded.
"Do your worst, I don't see you in any other light. You should be happy I've started considering you as a good fri—" before you could complete your sentence, Choso's hand was on the back of your neck as his lips crashed onto your own. His tongue was quick to slip past your teeth as it met yours in a frenzy. You, at first, tried pushing him away. However, the grip you had on his sweater only pulled him closer as your laptop nearly fell onto the floor if Choso hadn't moved it in time.
Desperately kissing one another as your noses bumped and saliva smeared, you breathed against one another. As both of you clung onto each other, the sound of Yuji's voice calling out for his big brother caused you to push him off of you as you wiped your lips. "I should go," you panted, gathering your things as Choso watched you.
"Wait—"
"It's getting late, my parents should be back," you said as you aimed for his front door, not bothering to look back.
"Fuck..." he breathed as he sunk into his seat, rubbing his face before Yuji called his name again.
Tumblr media
A week passed since the second kiss. It was almost as if there was an unspoken rule not to kiss nor touch as you spent your meet ups with a safe distance apart. You didn't bring anything up, of course not, and Choso was too conflicted to figure out what the hell he should do. He knew you were stubborn, and if he wanted something with you, he knew it wasn't going to be easy. There were still layers protecting you and if he tried anything, he was afraid you were going to resort back to square one and hate him again.
So, he let it be... as much as it was eating him alive knowing you definitely felt something for him as he did for you. It was probably why things were awkward, as much as both of you tried to avoid being such way.
Choso was seated at your desk as you were nestled on your bed. It had been a while since he was in your home and the only reason why he was there was due to an annual inspection at his apartment building. If it hadn't been happening, you two would've been social distancing on his couch instead.
"Finally," you breathed, tossing yourself back on your bed. "We finished."
Looking over at you, the way your shorts clung onto your thighs and how your sweater rode up to expose a piece of your belly, Choso sucked in a sharp breath. "Fuck it."
Sitting up on your forearms, your eyebrows furrowed, "wha—" Choso was suddenly on top of you. You let out a gasp as he practically pinned you on your bed. Your eyes widened as you looked up at him, but the second you felt his lips on yours, they fluttered close. Your palms tried to push against him, but the sensation filling you—the nights of endless dreams of Choso—you couldn't help but succumb. Your hands slipped through his hair, tugging at the loose strands as your lips parted for him.
Kissing you deeply as his tongue glided across your own, tracing every inch of your mouth as you tugged on his hair, Choso felt you wrap one of your legs around his waist. Lowering himself on you before rolling you over to straddle him, you subconsciously began grinding your hips against his as your tongue reached for his again.
Just as you felt Choso's hands reach under your sweater, your door slammed open. Your heart was pounding faster than ever as the sounds of your father screaming echoed in your head. He came rushing in with rage in his eyes as he ripped you off of Choso. Your breathing somehow seemed louder than the yelling beside you as your vision began to blur. From one second to the next, you were shoved back behind your father as he grabbed Choso by the collar and yelled in his face.
The voice of your father and now your mother as she stood by the door in pure shock that turned into disgust, muffled as you tried reaching out for Choso as he was shoved towards the door. "Choso! Wait!" You called out but your father blocked you. "Stop— No! Choso!" Your blurred vision was forced to look back at your father as he  spat out his disappointment in you. Saying you will never see that boy again as long as you lived under his roof. How he blamed Choso for the person you were becoming and how you were forbidden to leave the house unless you told them exactly where you were going.
It was absolutely childish, you were an adult! But that wasn't what had you the most devastated, no, it was the fact that—yes, you had fallen for Choso and things were never going to be the same.
Tumblr media
"How long has it been?" Yuki asked as she sat before you at her dinner table.
"9 days," you sighed, rubbing your temples as you sunk into your seat. Yuki basically became your therapist as she knew just about everything that's been happening between you and Choso. As exhausting as it was, she was rooting for you two. She was hoping for the best but hearing how things just kept getting out of hand, she couldn't help but worry for you. "He's avoiding me now. He's blocked my number. Couldn't call nor text him." Groaning as you leaned your forehead into your palm, you shook your head.
"You need to tell him," she said but you shook your head again. "You've gotta find a way. He can't be avoiding you for no reason."
"If I tell him I'm sure he won't say he feels the same. He's doing this for my sake, I can tell... I just—" sucking in a deep breath, you frowned, "it shouldn't have ended up this way."
"Well, you can't control your heart from falling so deeply for someone, can you?"
Tumblr media
"Choco! You are smoking again!" Yuji stomped as he eyed his older brother who had just walked in from the balcony. "You promised you'd stop!"
"I know," Choso sighed as he rubbed his forehead.
"You broke your promise!" The little boy pouted. "It's not good for you! It makes you stinky and can kill you!"
"I know, Yuji—"
"I will stop eating candy if you stop smoking!" The pink haired boy pointed as Choso sighed.
"No, you won't—"
"And why haven't I see my best friend? It's been too long, Choco!" Yuji furrowed his eyebrows as he crossed his arms. Choso knew he meant you.
"I don't know..." the older man groaned, as if feeling a headache coming. He was used to his little brother's nonstop talking and pestering... but today, he wasn't having any of it.
"Liar! You are always talking to her! I miss her and you stopped having her over!"
"Enough!" Choso snapped as Yuji instantly flinched. His bottom lip pursed out as his eyes began to water. His tiny body trembled before he turned and ran to his room. "Dammit... I—" going after him and finding a lump under the sheets that was shaking, Choso frowned. "Yuji, I'm sorry." Seeing the giant stuffed tiger sticking out from under the sheets, Choso gently pulled the blanket back. "I didn't mean to snap on you... I just..." taking a seat on the bed as he eyed Yuji, Choso rubbed Yuji's back. "I can't see her anymore... which means you can't, either."
"But... I miss... her..." Yuji sniffled into the stuffed toy.
"Me too..." lying back on the bed as he looked at the ceiling, Choso felt Yuji shift beside him as Yuji sat up.
"Why can't we see her?" He asked.
"It's complicated..." Choso answered as he rubbed his face.
"Do you love her?" Yuji tilted his head as he held the stuffed tiger beside him.
Feeling his heart skip a beat, Choso rolled onto his side and eyed his little brother. "I do."
A gasp left the pink haired boy as he scooted closer. "Well, if you love her, you shouldn't give up," Yuji said as he gave Choso a hopeful smile. "You should go see her and tell her!"
Tumblr media
A heavy knock sounded on Yuki's door as you furrowed your eyebrows and looked at it. "Are you expecting someone?" You asked.
"No, but you are," she said as she leaned back in her seat, stretching her arms above her with a sigh.
"Huh?" You shook your head as your confused expression deepened.
"Go open the door," Yuki nudged her chin.
Unsure as to why you listened, you let out a huff before pushing back your seat and standing up. "I don't know what you have up your sleeve... it better not be my parents. They know I'm here, you'd think they'd believe me..." you mumbled to yourself as you opened the door, expecting two unwanted faces... instead, getting one you had been aching to see. "Choso?"
Seeing the way your eyes widened as he stood before you at Yuki's apartment door, drenched in rain water as a nightly shower had rolled in, Choso felt his heart race as he reached for your face and pulled you into a sudden kiss. His beating heart grew faster as he so desperately clung onto you, but your palms instantly pressed against his chest and shoved him back.
Seeing the look of shock now on his face, you clenched your teeth, "you— you think you can just come out of nowhere and—"
Pulling you back into this kiss as his hands tug onto your wrists, Choso silenced your complaints with his own words. "I love you," he breathed against your lips, kissing them repetitively. "I love you," kiss, "I love you," kiss, "I fucking love you," kiss. "I'm sorry, I'm so fucking sorry," he nearly whispered as he pressed his forehead against your own as you stood stunned before him. "I was scared. You deserve better than me. I believed you were too good for me. We are from such different worlds and you deserved someone like you. That's why I avoided you. But, fuck, I've never felt this miserable being away from you. You were all I could think about. Dream about. I missed you. I missed your smile and laugh. The smell of your perfume. Seeing you being your genuine self around me. I missed having you around and caring for Yuji. Fuck, why do we do this to ourselves?" Choso breathed. "You avoided me, I avoided you. We let everything that doesn't matter affect us but I don't give a damn about what anyone else says, I love you and I want you. I want to be with you. I—"
Reaching for the back of his head as you tilted your own, you kissed him, now being the one to silence him. "I love you, too," you confessed before wrapping your arms around his neck and hugging him tight. "I do... I was scared, too. Of everything. But you bring out the best in me, you make me happy, Choso... I want you just as bad."
"Finally!" Yuki groaned as she stood from her seat. "Having Choso's number was handy."
Looking over at her as you had nearly forgotten where you were, you blinked in confusion. "What?"
"Oh, nothing, just me being the greatest friend and telling Choso where you were and making sure you two finally get together. It was exhausting seeing how things were going all because of lack of communication and fear and how ridiculous your parents are. You're an adult, they can't stop you from who you love," she rolled her eyes with a wave of her hand. "Now go on and leave with Choso and have fun. You can thank me later," she shooed as you and Choso backed up before she closed the door on you.
"Uh..." you stared at the door before looking up at him, seeing him shrug.
"She had been texting me for a while. I was actually a bit confused but then I started seeing her on campus when you weren't around and we got along pretty well. So I figured she'd know your whereabouts, asked her where you were, and luckily you were with her. This would've been much harder if you were home, but I would've done it anyway," he explained as you smiled.
"This is the most I've ever heard you speak," you teased as he shook his head. It was then you remembered he was still soaking wet and you were still outside just barely covered from the rain. "Let's go back to your place before you get sick."
The second you arrived at his apartment—and learned Yuji was staying at Nanami's with this last minute decision to see you—Choso was quick to pull you back into a kiss. You had tried to stop him, telling him he should dry up, but Choso instead started undressing right before you in between kisses. His black tee that clung to his body was the first to go, revealing his toned chest that you so quickly went to touch, feeling his abs underneath your fingertips. Then, he went for his sweat pants, kicking them to a side before he went for your clothes. You couldn't quite process what was happening, your head was spinning from the kissing (and the fact that he was in nothing but his boxer briefs before you). Before you knew it, all that covered you was your underwear as Choso left delicate kisses down your neck and collarbone.
Now standing before his bed as he held your hands in his, Choso pressed his forehead against yours as the two of you stood in silence, listening not only to the rain trickle, but your shared breathing. "I'm not that bad of person, am I?
"No," you shook your head. "I was a fool. I'm sorry..."
"Doesn't matter anymore," he mumbled, "you love me and I love you. That's all I care about. What's in the past is in the past, I love everything about you, and I'm glad I got to peel away those layers," he smiled as you did, too. "May we?"
"Mhm," hummed, "yes... please."
Reaching behind to unclasp your bra before slowly removing it from your body, Choso then lifted you up and settled you on his bed, tugging down your underwear. Bare and exposed to him as your heart raced and chest heaved, you were just about ready to cover yourself, but Choso's lips beat you to it. He kissed along your chest and bare breasts, down your belly and to your thighs. He parted your knees and admired the way your bare pussy glistened for him.
Watching with hooded eyes as he licked his lips, you swallowed as you clung to his bed sheets. Your eyes followed the way his figure lowered to his knees, how he kissed closer and closer to your heat before leaving a sweet peck on your clit.
Reaching one hand up, Choso interlaced his fingers with yours before he licked a broad strip up your cunt, moaning at the taste of you as you shivered. He felt your free hand slide into his dark locks as you let out a shaky breath the moment his tongue teased your entrance, only to make its way back to your aching nub. Choso smiled at the way your hand tugged at his hair to push on his head, further burying his face against you. Swirling his tongue around your clit, he made his way towards your hole before teasing it once again.
"Choso, please, stop teasing..." you begged with a breathy tone.
"Anything for you, baby." Plunging his tongue in you as he fucked you slow, he pulled away to play with your clit before two of his finger pushed into you. The sounds you made had his grip tightening around your hand as his other thrusted his fingers in and out of you.
Your toes curled as you felt that burning desire within you ready to explode. "Ch— Choso, I'm gonna—" but before you could finish, he pulled his fingers out, replacing his tongue with his thumb on your clit. Feeling his tongue sink into once again, Choso was more than ready to lap up your juices as you came on his face with a shaky moan.
Taking in as much of you as he could, groaning in delight at the taste, Choso released your hand before he crawled over you and slid his tongue past your mouth to share your essence. He listened to you hum as your shaky hands reached for his briefs and tugged them down. Helping you as he removed the remaining piece of clothing on his body, he felt your hands caress the side of his thighs before reaching in between the two of you.
Gliding your tongue along his as you so sweetly wanted to swallow each other whole, your hands wanted to feel the weight of him on them. You gently began to rub at his length, already knowing it was going to a bit of a hassle to have him fill you just by the feel of his bare cock in your palm. You pumped him slowly, brushing your thumb over his slit as his breath hitched against your lips. "Fuck me, please," you quietly begged. "I want you, I love you."
Separating from the kiss as he gently peeled your hand away from him before he could come on your hand (which he was sure would happen in any second) he brought you deeper into the bed before he reached for his drawer. That is until you stopped him. "What is it?" He asked, heart dropping. Were you having second thoughts?
"I want you bare," you breathed. "Please..."
"Are— Are you sure?" He asked as you nodded. "I'll pull out."
"No," you shook your head, giving him a look as if saying it was okay.
Blushing, Choso nodded, "okay." Wrapping your legs around his waist as he aligned himself with you, Choso slowly sunk into your tightness as a hiss left him. You reached up and held onto his shoulders as he bottomed out, pausing for a moment as he rested his forehead against yours.
"It's okay," you breathed before giving him a small peck to the cheek.
Pulling back slowly, Choso began thrusting in and out of you at a steady pace. He littered your face with kisses as your eyes fluttered closed. Kissing down your neck and chest, he brought one hand up to fondle with one of your breasts. Giving the other some attention as he sucked at the skin and left red blotches in his wake, faint bites and kisses too, he brought your nipple into his mouth as he began to pick up his pace.
"Faster," you breathed as Choso did so. He thrusted deeply into you, giving your breasts equal attention. Kissing and licking, biting and marking, moaning at the feeling of you squeezing him. Your hands tugged on his hair, the sweetest sounds leaving your lips as he fucked into you in a way that made your heart flutter. He wasn't trying to break you nor fuck you into the next life. No, he was loving you in a physical way to prove just how deep his feelings ran for you. The languid movements of his hips, the kisses against your body, the way he brought his hands into yours as he whispered his love for you into your ear. You swore you could hear angels singing. The tears brimming in your eyes and staining your face as you felt this wave of pure ecstasy wash all over you.
You had never come like this before, almost in unison as you felt your mind, body, and soul becoming one with his. You must've been in heaven, up in the clouds. It was almost ethereal. He filled you so deeply before his body nearly gave out and collapsed on yours.
He needed a moment as he stayed in you. Catching his breath before pulling out and falling beside you. Tugging you to him as his lips lazily met yours in the loveliest, sloppiest kiss, Choso ran his fingers through your hair as he mumbled sweet nothings against your lips.
"I love you," you breathed, nuzzling your face against his chest before looking up at him. Caressing his hair then rubbing your thumb along his nose and cheeks, you gave him a sleepy smile. "You're so handsome..."
Giving you the same smile, Choso caressed your forehead, placing his hand on the back of your neck as he kissed you once more, "you're beautiful..." he muttered. "So pretty... I'm so damn lucky..."
"Me too..." Enjoying the silence shared between you as you felt yourself more than ready to fall asleep, you then forced yourself up as you remembered something. "Choso! Your hair is still soaking wet!"
Letting out a small laugh, he sat up and reached for your hands, tugging you out of the bed with him, "then let's share a shower and you can dry my hair."

"Oh, I so won the bet against Gojo," Mei Mei said as she stood beside Utahime.
"Kinda predictable, but at least she's happy," Utahime said.
"And I helped!" Yuki beamed as the three of them watched you walk hand in hand with Choso across the courtyard of the campus. The biggest smile was on your face as Choso gazed down at you, almost as if it were a scene ripped from a rom-com.
"Ladies, now that Choso is taken, I'm available—"
"Save it, Mahito," Yuki raised a hand as the other two women beside her simply ignored the man. A laugh left Suguru as he was trailing beside Mahito, instantly gaining Yuji's attention. "But if Suguru is available..." teasing him with a wink, Suguru's eyes widened. "Men are so easy to toy with."

ONE YEAR LATER.
It was almost impossible to keep your hands to yourself. You always found yourself twirling Choso's hair around your finger, giving his bicep a small squeeze, hugging his arm, placing your palm on his thigh... it was rare for you not to be right beside him. Choso didn't mind, he never did, he loved how your touches felt. He welcomed them, actually. When you weren't touching him, even in the slightest way, he felt off. As if something was missing.
You didn't seem to care where you were. If he wasn't around, you'd patiently wait to see him again, knowing very well it would be you jumping him into a hug or pulling him into a needy kiss. You weren't sure who you had become within the year you had been with Choso, but it was so freeing.
Especially being able to do it in front of your parents.
They were not happy when they found out you had been secretly dating him for months without telling them, but their reaction didn't phase you. Actually, you were in the midst of moving out. Choso had offered you to stay with him—and although you were a bit worried at first—you couldn't have been any happier with your decision. Away from the two most troublesome people in your life, now living with the person you most adored, and your tiny best friend, Yuji. Yuji was the most ecstatic when he learned the news of you moving in. Already planning out things to do with you like movie nights and games to play together as well as other little things that made the boy happy.
Overall, you were happier than ever. Freer than a bird. And seeing the look of disgust on your parents face at dinner did nothing to stop you.
You didn't know why you did it, maybe it was because they were your parents, and maybe since you were a good person, you still visited every now and then. However, it was almost always with Choso. And they couldn't do anything about it.
"Well, we have to go pick up Yuji," you said as you stood from the now cleared out dinner table.
Choso followed in your lead as he felt you slip your hand into his. He was already used to your parents at this point and didn't bat an eyelash to their judgmental looks. Though, they were... improving. Slowly. The glares and scowls weren't so bad anymore. Wasn't his fault their little princess of a daughter fell in love with a terror like him. He loved her more than anything in the universe and nothing would change that. "Good night and thank you for dinner."
Gathering your purse and cardigan from where they hung, Choso opened the front door for you as the two of you walked right out. These nights always ended this way, you never waited for a response or some sort of action. In reality, these gatherings never lasted more than an hour. There wasn't much to say or do besides eat...
Climbing into Choso's car as the two of you let out a laugh you had been holding in, you gave his cheek a kiss before he backed out of the driveway and made his way to Nanami's. "It's the way your mom looks so disturbed when you hold my hand."
"And how my father bites his tongue whenever I give you the smallest of kisses," you chuckled. "A year and you'd think they'd move on. That's what happens when you have one kid. They should've had more."
"It's alright, they'll find a way to accept it... Eventually. In a decade or so," he said as you sighed, reaching over to hold his hand while resting your head against the seat.
"Whatever, at least my grandparents like you. My grandmother is always asking for you when I do my weekly calls," you snickered as Choso smirked. "She doesn't get why my mother is the way she is. She blames my father. Oh well, at least we've got their support."
"And our friends," he added.
"Mhm," you smiled. "That's all I need."
Eventually arriving at Nanami's home, you were greeted by said blond man trailing behind an excited pink haired boy. Yuji always had a habit of rushing out the moment you arrived, practically glued to the window whenever Nanami announced you two were on your way.
Helping the little boy into his car seat, both you and Choso greeted and thanked Nanami before the man bowed his head and closed the door for Yuji. Said boy smiled at you as you turned to give his hair a little ruffle before poking his ribs gently. "How was Nanamin's?"
"Fun! He helped me with my homework and then we had dinner with his family and then we played uno!" He said as you grinned. "And you?"
"Not as fun as it is being around you," you pouted, earning a giggle from the little boy.
"Choco's not fun?" He asked, earning a sigh from his big brother.
"Of course he is, he makes it all the better. I don't know what I'd do if he wasn't there," you sighed as Yuji lifted his eyebrows, only to grin.
"Then I think I know what you have to do to make sure Choco is always there!" Yuji clapped his hands.
"What is it?" You curiously asked as Choso looked over.
"Get married!" He exclaimed.
Looking at one another, Choso shrugged, "he's not wrong."
Playfully rolling your eyes, you readjusted yourself on your seat as you went back to holding his hand. "Well, then I'll be waiting for you to propose."
an: so you've made it this far? thank you so much! i promise you it was worth it... how are feeling? it's dramatic, i know, but i love drama and angst as much as i love smut and fluff... reblogs are much appreciated! xo

Void success story part : 2 ♡
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Hello motherfuckers 😏
So i shared my void journey in my previous post and you guys loved it so here i am with a part 2 bitches, but this one is gonna be more of my life after Void, also it can be a lil cheesy or intense for some people but i don't give a fuck i am just warning you, so let's go my whores 😭
Okay so it's the day two of me with my desires so i woke up the next morning and was as excited as the day before, again how can i forget to check up my phone so i did and again how can i not get notifications and my BF's sweet good morning message ( i mean best friend, honey it's only the second day don't you get that far ) and i was again drooling over him like he is so hot and handsome 🥵 ( we know it bitch now stfu ) and i also got a notify that i got 50k in my bank like what the actual fuck ! then i realised that i have a motherfucking math exam today but i wasn't scared of it ( like before i used to suck at math ) I hurried up got ready for school, then i told my mom to drop me there but she was like " You are such a lazy ass just go by yourself honey " and i was so confused why is she saying that but then she said go by your car okay do your exam well, then realisation hit me that i have my OWN CAR I KNOW HOW TO DRIVE IT I FUCKING KNOW HOW TO DRIVE ( before i didn't even knew how to start 😭 ) i went to the garage and I WAS TOO STUNNED TO SPEAK it was a BLACK RANGE ROVER i went inside it took a brief view but i don't know why i wasn't feeling nervous or scared i started the car drove it all the way to my School but this time i wasn't the one who was too stunned but my friends they were like " OMG ZEE IS IT YOU, WE THOUGHT IT'S SOME MODEL OR CELEBRITY COMING DANG IT 😱 " Lol they all were staring at me like they never saw me before or am i really a celebrity 👀 hmm whatever i went to my class gave my exam it was easy af like i thought someone already gave me a copy of the question paper and i know all the fucking answers 😭 but when i would take breaks from writting all i found was lots of STARES at me, people weren't giving a shit about their exam they all were busy staring at me ( not trying to do showoff 💅💩 )
OKAY then time skips up to evening i was watching Bridgerton, then my mom ordered me to go buy some groceries OK MA'AM AS YOU SAY 🙂
At the grocery store : I was busy looking for stuffs and then this girl comes to me and starts talking she was so cute and extremely nice but then what she said made me loose my words - " well zee are you umm ...... Straight just because i found you so attractive and forget to tell i am a bi* so ........ ) my face was just like this emoji 😳 wtf what am i suppose to say but then i told her yes i am straight as a board and ran away 😭 she giggled and said bye like tell me wtf was that. yes i manifested being attractive but forgot i manifested being everyones crush EVERYONES FUCKING CRUSH but it was a cute interaction ( omg this bitch, i can't with her )
At night: i went out with my friends for a dinner to a really nice restaurant and found these really fine boys who are from my school they are those hot basketballers every gurl be a slut for, so they noticed me and started waving at me i did the same, then when we were outside the restaurant they came to have a conversation and one of them says " you are looking so hot today zee " i was blushing like a tomato LMFAO then i heard another voice which said " SHE ALWAYS LOOKS HOT, IT'S JUST YOU NEVER NOTICE IT ,BUT I DO " and guess what he was my fucking BF ( boy bestie huh you right 😭 ) this was the first time i say him face to face and i almost fainted bitch he looks much better in person ( will u please shut up 😑 ) i lost my mind their and even my heart ❤️ ( this crazy ass whore )
Yeah that's all happened that day and a lot more every single day, do tell me if you want more of ummm this yk what 🙂
Other things i manifested from void:
Attention 24/7
Confidence 25/8
Ear piercing
Gold earing
Trip to maldives & hawaii this summer
Desire friend group
Driving skills and license
Other skills like - swimming, sports and cooking
Being able to speak different languages
Few beautiful prom dresses
Motivation:
If you say void is easy, then why people struggle getting in ?
- Because honey you made it hard, tell me is it hard for you to breathe or to drink or to walk noooo right because you know it's a part of you, you control it then why you don't think like this about void when yk it's within you, it's a part of you your mind.
How should i clear my mind, when will i know my mind is clear ? Is there any other method to clear mind ?
- you just do a meditation or breathe work and yeah your mind is clear is that even a point to stress on, void is a deep meditative state and to enter it you need to be calm and clear. And what you think if you can't even breathe can you do anything else huh ?
How will i know i am in void ?
- you will know it just trust your mind, when you go to your room yk that you are in your room not in a toilet, when you go to your friends house yk that you are there not on mount everest then why you wouldn't know when you will enter void.
If people went into void and then know they can manifest for others then why don't they manifest for the people who are unable to go into the void ?
- yes ofcourse we can manifest for others but i don't want to make you handicap, Do you take my help to breathe, to drink, to eat or do write those long ass asks...... NOOOO you don't then why you need my help to enter void didn't i told you it's as easy as doing these things then why you need my help. Afterall you are GOD ! GOD never takes help babe !!!
I have been trying to go into void since ages but i can't 😭
- yes you can't because you keep making excuses, you always try to enter void but never do, you think today for sure i will enter the void and wake up in my new reality but when the night comes you think i am too sleepy let me sleep tonight i will enter void later maybe tomorrow or after that, you over complicate things like hell you be asking me how should i clear my mind, shall i sleep on my back or front, what should i affirm, when should i enter, shall i keep my eyes close or open, can i manifest this, can i manifest that 🙄 bitch now really stfu if you guys be asking me all this in my asks they do also ask me ...... can i eat, what should i eat, how can i drink water, can i go to washroom, how to use a toilet paper, how to write my name blah blah blah... Because doing all these daily routine things is as same as void, it's just we realised it now that what void is, rather this void would have been a simple habit like any other.
Plot twist : It still is as easy as anything PERIODT !
Also if you keep making excuses like i have adhd, my house is not quiet, my parents don't allow me to use my phone how should i listen to the meditation, i try to clear my mind but thoughts still come, i try to make my body still but it moves anyways, i got scared, i need a final push etc etc THEN I AM TELLING YOU, Y'ALL WILL DIE LIKE THIS I SWEAR YOU WILL.... NOBODY CAN HELP YOU. YOU HADICAP PIECE OF SHIT YES... YOU, YOU ARE A PIECE OF SHIT DOES THAT HURT YOUR EGO THAT I AIN'T CALLING YOU A GOD BUT A PIECE OF SHIT YES BITCH BECAUSE U DESERVE IT. IF YOU WANT TO BE CALLED A MF GOD THEN DO WHAT GOD DOES STOP MAKING EXCUSES, STOP WASTING TIMES. IF YOU WOULD HAVE INVESTED ALL THIS TIME YOU WASTED WORRYING EXCUSING PROCRASTINATING I BET YOU WOULD HAVE BEEN LIVING YOUR LIFE AND INSTEAD OF YOUR ASKS I WOULD HAVE YOUR SUCCESS STORIES.
" If you still have any self respect left go do what i said and show me your face when you claim yourself as a GOD"
The End ✨
Love, zee

You didn’t hate Ellie Williams, not in the slightest.
In fact, when you first met the girl you were impressed by her nonchalant attitude and how quickly she adjusted to life in Jackson. You admired the bond she shared with her companion, Joel - the closeness they shared, the softness of his voice when he spoke to her, the glint in her eyes when she looked at him. That didn’t mean you missed the way she stared off distantly in her free time, or the way she would talk to others with a certain tiredness in her voice; but it wasn’t like you could talk to her about it.
You weren’t friends with her. Well, not anymore.
Ellie and you were friends when she first arrived, you made sure of it. You were always bringing her things to make the adjustment easier: blankets, sweaters, new socks, ammunition, and a new hairbrush, among other things. She was grateful for it at first, always thanking you, hunting you down for movie nights, and inviting you over for dinner with Joel. But at some point you messed up - you did something wrong.
She slowly began to ignore you, she started returning your home-baked goods and stopped inviting you to her house to watch movies. She started to talk to you just as cold as she talked to the others. She didn’t like you anymore.
Eventually, probably tired of your haphazard attempts to fix your friendship, she snapped. You left her house in tears that day with your head down, shoulders hunched and wobbly, trying to cover the tear streaks with your hair.
Ever since you’d tried to ignore her, her words, and the wounds they made. It was hard when she consumed your every waking thought. You thought about Ellie all the time - what you did wrong, the way her hair bounced as she walked, what you said to make her hate you, that one time at dinner she accidentally choked on water and spit it out her nose, the look in her eyes as she yelled in your face, all of the science stuff she had hidden away in every crevice of her room.
Every thought you had about Ellie contradicted the other and it was all so confusing that every time you thought too hard about it your head spun.
So you quickly found yourself doing simple, menial tasks to keep your thoughts at bay. You were picking up every patrol you were allowed, volunteering at the daycare to help your mom care for the kiddos, spending any and all free time at your friends houses instead of yours. You always finished your house chores early in the morning, always walked your neighbors dog once before noon and once after, always doing whatever you could to stay out of your own mind.
So you forgot about Ellie - as best as you could, at least.
It almost worked, too. Five years you got away with it, hiding from your mind and from Ellie. Until today, the one day you had been dreading for years. The day you knew was coming.
You were partnered with Ellie for patrol.
At first, you'd spent the first three hours complaining to your friends - Jesse mostly ignored you, only cracking jokes here or there, and Dina just didn't understand why you hated Ellie so bad. Eventually you just gave in and stopped complaining, finding some solace under the heavy duvet on your bed.
Before Dina left your home she gave you a warm smile and said, "You're gonna do great." And then left you to your own devices, not realizing she was leaving you to rot in your own brain.
When the time came to get up and get ready, you found yourself picking through your clothes, trying to find the cleanest shirt to wear and the pants that fit you the best. You wanted to look nice, most people would, but you weren't sure if it was for you or for her.
You walked nervously towards the stables, taking firm, heavy breaths as you shoved your hands into your jacket pockets.
"It'll be okay... It'll be okay," you chanted the words under your breath as you neared the stables, clenching and unclenching your sweaty fists.
When you arrived, Ellie was already leading Shimmer along to the exit, hardly glancing at you.
"You're late." She said, sucking on her teeth.
You nodded slowly, inhaling sharply, "I am aware..." speaking slowly and cautiously, trying not to poke the bear. "I kind of have my own stuff, though," the pitch of your voice raised slightly, as if you were unsure of your own words, "so I got here as fast as I could."
She scoffed, her head shaking slightly which sends her short strands of hair bouncing around her ears. "Just get the fucking horse."
You walked off hastily, unfurling Japan's reigns - when Dina didn't take him out, you did, because you both liked to make sure he had enough exercise everyday. You walked him down to meet Ellie at the gate.
Ellie was standing on one foot, shifting her weight every now and then and rubbing her palms down the length of her thighs; almost as if she was rubbing something off of them. She rubbed her thumbs on Shimmer's reigns nervously, head darting back and forth to see if you were close or not.
When you came into her line of sight, she hardened up and stood taller. Her face sharpened and her eyes filled with the same distance that kept you up at night, though today they also harbored another emotion, one you were no longer privy with.
It filled you with a sense of confusion and dread, causing you to mumble incoherently under your breath.
"Fucking Williams... cold as shit... pain in my ass..." you muttered as you mounted your horse.
Giving you one last weary look, Ellie also mounted her horse. She pulled her fingers through her hair, tucking it back behind her ear as the two of you left Jackson.
The horses trotted slowly, easily stepping over the tree roots in the ground as if they had the whole route memorized.
For you, this was one of the few routes you hardly visited. It wasn't too far from Jackson, but it was just far enough that you knew it'd take up the rest of your day.
As your eyes danced between the trail ahead of you and Ellie beside you, you didn't know what to think.
Sure, you'd thought of all the ways you would yell at her and all the things you'd say if you ever got the chance again; but you'd also thought of all the ways you'd make it up to her, all the things you wanted to say to let her know you weren't the same person you used to be.
What did it matter, anyway?
You were stuck here, letting your old wounds sit and fester in the bitterness of it all. You were stuck here, next to her but unable to fill the empty silence with words. You were stuck here, on patrol with the one person who hates your guts and you couldn't do anything about it.
"It's not polite to stare, you know."
Her voice echoed through the dense trees, bouncing off branches and leaves only to worm its way back into your brain.
"I'm sorry?" you hummed, caught off guard by the sound.
Her head slightly turned in your direction and Shimmer slowed down to a light trot, matching Japan's speed. "It's not polite to stare."
Her words were much sharper the second time around, with much more emphasis placed upon them.
She's angry. Amazing. You scoffed to yourself, trying to keep hold of your composure.
"I wasn't staring..." you paused. You almost said her name, but the word caught in your throat. "At you. I wasn't staring at you."
She glanced at you sideways before she continued, "you were."
"Was not!"
"Were too."
"I wasn't staring-!"
There it was again. You'd almost said her name, but it got caught in the back of your throat, which left you to haphazardly cut off your sentence and leave her hanging, waiting for it.
She scoffed. "Yes, you were."
You closed your mouth and pressed your lips into a line, "I wasn't fucking staring at you, Williams."
"So you stare at me, deny it when I tell you it's impolite, and then can't even use my name?" She stopped her horse, leaning back in the saddle as she spoke.
And the words get caught in your throat. Your mouth dried as you slowed your own horse.
"I used your name," you whispered, blinking away the wetness in your eyes.
She laughed sourly, pulled on Shimmer's reigns and began to trot ahead of you again.
You sighed at the bitterness brewing in the pit of your stomach. You certainly fucked that up - but was it entirely your fault? Surely some of that had to go to Ellie too - I mean she's the one who broke off your friendship... she's the one who yelled at you for "staring." You weren't staring in the first place... right?
You began to question yourself, yet again, as Ellie spoke up once more.
"You're still staring."
And suddenly it's almost as if you could hear the smirk she had on her face.
"Could you fucking not? Please? I'm just trying to get to the tower and go home alive. I don't want to deal with this bullshit too."
"Stop fucking staring then," she whipped around to face you. "I definitely didn't ask for this either, so stop being a baby and get over it."
You clenched your fists and brought one to your face, rubbing your eyes with your palm.
"I'm not staring at you, El-"
You stopped talking after you finally looked directly into her eyes, catching sight movement behind her.
She began to scoff but suddenly stopped as your face changed.
"What?"
"Shut up."
You tilted your head to the side, narrowing your eyes as you focused on a shadowy figure hidden in the trees.
The figure stilled under a long branch, the leaves creating long shadows which warped around the curves of the figure.
Slowly, you reached for the pistol strapped to your thigh. Ellie's face scrunched in a mix of confusion and worry.
"Don't," you breathed, "move."
At the sound of your sharp exhale the figure screeched and aimed for Ellie, its dark eyes fixated on her.
You brought the gun up, aiming and pulling the trigger as fast as you could, but the stalker was hardly affected by the single bullet.
Ellie whipped around, yelping once before the stalker jumped on her and yanked her off of Shimmer. The stalker pinned her to the ground, its teeth already bared and ready to bite.
You pulled the trigger again. And again. And again. Until eventually the stalker slumped down above Ellie.
She pushed it off and brought herself to her feet, head whipping around to look for others.
"Do you see any more?" you asked as you scanned the area.
She shook her head, "I don't think so... holy shit."
You both sat quietly for a moment as you tried to process what just happened.
"Thanks- thanks for uh, for that," she panted, mounting Shimmer again and looking around, "that was close."
For a moment you were rendered speechless, trying to piece the puzzle back together in your brain before responding. "Yeah... of course," you paused, adding lightly, "s'what friends do." It came out a little mumbled but you knew she heard it.
You didn't keep your eyes on hers long enough to gauge her reaction, but you figured it was one full of something negative. You looked up one last time and caught her eyes, the strangest look on her face, before turning back down and looking away.
"The tower's just up that way," you hesitated, waiting for her to say - or do - something. To do anything. But she didn't, so you continued, "there shouldn't be any more in the area, they just cleared it last week."
You shifted on the saddle, cringing slightly, urging Japan to move forward again.
The rest of your route went okay - you didn't encounter anymore infected and the area is mostly barren anyway so you didn't find anything worthwhile. The tower was cleared already, too, so you and Ellie mostly found solace in your own thoughts for the rest of the route.
She didn't mention the staring thing again, opting to keep quiet instead, but you could feel her eyes meeting the side of your head every now and then.
You didn't say anything to her as you re-entered Jackson, walking side by side to the stables to put the horses back.
Ellie was brushing out Shimmer's mane as she opened her mouth to speak, "hey, thanks for earlier. Seriously. It means a lot."
You nodded, "no worries," and you paused, unsure of what to say next. Before you could, Ellie spoke up again.
"And sorry, by the way," she said, eyes darting around the stables, "for being mean."
At that, you found yourself completely dumbfounded, eyes wide, staring across the stables at her. And before you had the chance to recover from the shock she was flying out of the stables, probably heading back to Joel's house.
Within the next four minutes you'd rushed to Dina's, tripping and stumbling over your own feet, heart pounding and mind racing.
"She apologized?" Dina asked incredulously, eyebrows raised and lips turned downward, "for real?"
You shrugged, "I guess. I can't believe it either."
"Yeah, dude, she hated you for years but you play hero once and now she likes you again?" Jesse laughed, shaking his head, "bullshit."
"I never said she liked me again, Jesse. I was just telling you what happened. She apologized. That's what happened."
"Maybe she realized you aren't that bad," Dina smiled.
"Oh thanks, Dee, I'm honored."
Dina chuckled, leaning towards you and smacking your shoulder playfully, "and it's about time."
You paused, chewing on your lip as you thought of the day's events over and over and over again.
"I hope this is a new beginning for you guys, you deserve it."
You stopped your thinking, pulling yourself out of your thoughts to respond with a smile, "thanks, Dee."
"So, now that that's out of the way," Dina smiled suggestively, narrowing her eyes and raising her eyebrows, "you want to come to the bar with us later? Everyone's gonna be there."
You couldn't miss the suggestive tone in her voice, the way it dropped a pitch and she gained a mischievous glint in her eyes.
You hummed, "are they? Good for them."
Dina sighed exhaustedly, "c'mon! You never come with us! It'll be so much fun, I promise!"
"I don't know, Dina. You know I'm not one for parties."
"Well, you are tonight," she tapped the palm of her hand against the table, "because you are coming with me and we are going to dance all night and have so much fun. So much so, in fact, that you're going to completely forget how much you hate parties!"
"Oh, is that right?" You smiled as you began to chuckle.
She hummed, a particularly big grin splattered on her face.
"Yeah, your new best friend might be there too," Jesse added, which earned a nasty look from you and a disapproving look from Dina.
"Shut up!" Dina shouted, turning her attention to Jesse - which only threw you right back into your own head.
After Dina snapped you out of it, and after a lot more begging and pleading on her part, you agreed. It couldn't be that bad - right?
The party was nothing short of what you'd expected.
It was loud, crammed, kind of smelly, and definitely not the place you wanted to be spending your time.
But every time you caught Dina's eyes or you looked over in her direction, the smile on her face was enough to make you feel so deeply guilty that you stayed put. You stayed with her if she brought you out to dance and you stayed with her if she brought you to the bar to get a new drink.
It wasn't a surprise when you noticed Ellie at the bar, nursing a cold cup, staring at you with a conflicting expression. It also wasn't a surprise when Dina grabbed your hand and started dragging you in her direction, giving you one last reassuring smile.
It was a surprise, however, when Ellie greeted Dina with a hug and you with a smile.
She smiled at you.
Completely unable to quickly recover, you let Dina do the talking, trying to calm your racing heart.
"Hey, El! How're you doing?" she had to shout over the music but you knew Ellie could hear her - everyone could hear Dina.
"Pretty good! You okay?"
They began to exchange pleasantries and all the usual small talk, so you spaced out for a moment, waiting for the moment Dina would pull you away again. That moment didn't come, however, because Dina ran off without you.
"Wait - where's she going?" you yelled, eyes finally meeting Ellie's.
"Said she was gonna grab Jesse," Ellie began, eyes scanning over your outfit. "You want a drink?"
You hesitated, thinking over what happened during patrol. You lost yourself, again, and began mulling over what you could say and how she would possibly respond.
But then you began speaking, your mind not caught up yet.
"Sure!"
Ellie's face relaxed a little, and she waved you over towards a quieter area of the bar. The flannel tucked up to her elbows showcased the way her muscles flexed as she signaled Seth over to your side of the bar.
"You doing okay?" You asked as Seth walked away. "It just... looked like that stalker shook you up a bit."
She nodded, "Yeah, yeah. It was a little," she shrugged and let out a mangled noise, "nerve wracking." You both laughed.
Seth dropped your drink in front of you, giving you a sideways glance before returning to the packed end of the bar.
"You know how it goes, though," she finished. "I'm good."
"Well, that is certainly a plus."
Her lips tugged into a small grin, making you mirror the expression.
"Thanks again, by the way."
"Hey, we were partners. It was my job to have your back."
You both laughed again.
And you fell back into it. Into that easy-going, comfortable rhythm you had with her so many years ago. It was like no time had passed at all; like you were fourteen again.
And even when Dina came back she didn't hide it. You were finally able to openly talk to your two friends together again. It was like a dream.
"Hey, Ellie!" No. "I haven't seen you in forever!" No. "You look so good!" No.
"Oh! Hey, Cat!"
No.
You could almost taste the tension that had suddenly built up around the three of you; the sudden change in the air sending your head reeling and heart pounding.
Ellie and Cat exchanged pleasantries (not like you were interested or anything) as you suddenly honed in on a weirdly shaped ice cube in your drink. Poking at it with your straw, you waited for Cat to leave, holding your breath.
And in less than five minutes, you fell out of it.
You fell out of your rhythm, Ellie already ten beats ahead of you while you seemed to have changed rhythms completely.
When Cat did (finally) leave you let out a shaky breath, watching as even Ellie noticed the shift in you.
"Sorry," she said sheepishly, mostly directing the apology to Dina. She turned to face Dina straight on now, no longer moving her eyes between the two of you.
"You're fine," Dina brushed it off quickly, seemingly unaware of the sudden awkwardness.
"I should uh... go anyway. Joel's waiting for me, so... you know."
"Oh, yeah, sure. We should go soon too," Dina draped an arm around your shoulders, "I have kept someone here for way too long. She's getting a little antsy." She gave you a pointed smile, a teasing tone lacing her voice.
Ellie gave Dina a half-hearted chuckle before standing and hugging her. She gave you a very awkward, sideways, one armed hug before turning around and almost running out of the building.
"You want to go now or wait a little-"
"Can we go, Dina?" you rushed, clenching your eyes shut as you rubbed the balls of your palms into your eyes. "I'm just... really tired."
Dina stared at your face, her eyes scanning yours, for an extra beat before nodding, "Yeah, of course."
At home you spent the rest of your night hiding under your duvet, pulling at large chunks of your hair with your fists, digging your heels into your bed; all the way until you finished the night tiredly blinking away tears and chewing at your lips.
It was all so confusing. One minute you're dreading even looking at her and the next you're talking and laughing with her like you're best friends - and then? Then you're sitting there like the two of you never started talking again at all, all because Ellie said hi to an old friend.
One minute she's talking to you, then the next she's talking to you through Dina.
You woke in the morning with blood dried on your lips and dark bags under your eyes. You found it hard to keep your eyes open as you brushed your teeth, and one look in the mirror showed that you were in no state to leave your home anytime soon.
Your parents left quickly for work, not giving you a second glance even as you asked them to clear your schedule for the day.
Around noon you received a familiar knock at the door, and when you opened it you saw a face that hadn't graced your porch in a few years.
"Hey, Ellie," you paused, panicking internally. "What's up?"
"Do you want to talk?"

aren’t you a new football fan? celebrating like you’ve won the fucking world cup after one arsenal win lmfao. i’m not a city fan but don’t get used to assna wins when you lot lose the league to city again. embarrassing behaviour
hi anon! let's clear the air, yeah?
first of all, yes! i am a new football fan, i just started watching seriously after the world cup, and i am also a new arsenal fan. however, i still care very deeply about the sport and my team's successes in said sport! that is what being a fan is all about <3 just because i didn't grow up watching european football doesn't mean that i have less of a right to enjoy it then you do! also, it is the most popular sport in the world with billions and billions of fans globally, and out of the entire sport, the english premier league is the most viewed league in the world. of football, but also of any sport. so you can't really gatekeep it, sorry!
second of all, i'm aware that this was only a regular matchweek, not the world cup. but there are two important caveats to that those being:
who we were playing
and
the fashion in which we won
for who we were playing, it's not a secret that outside of the spurs and the north london derby, manchester united is one of arsenal's biggest rivals and has been since the start of the premier league when they were competing against each other for titles and trophies. i won't go into premier league history with you, i am just a new fan who knows nothing after all, but you should know that beating a rival is always exciting, especially when you are competing against them for points and jockeying for the title to compete with man city. every win is important, and winning is better when it is against a historical rival team.
for the fashion in which we won, it was a close game until the very end. rashford scoring in the 27th minute, and odegaard answering back 35 seconds later. the teams were trading chances and possession, there were good chances and var calls that went either way, it was a close game where the teams were fighting hard. and then, in the 95th minute, rice scores an absolute screamer and it was truly scenes at the emirates. gabi jesus caps it off with a 101st minute beaut, and arsenal win the game. winning in the last 3 minutes of regulation time, with a bonus goal over 100 minutes into the game is exciting! it was thrilling to watch, and seeing a team that i support win that emphatically in that dramatic of a manner was so much fun. its an exciting thing to watch and its ok to be excited when there's a win like that!
it also isn't just one win, this has just been our best win this season (imo)! we have only played four games, and we have won three and drawn one. so that is three wins actually, i am just celebrating this one the most, again, because of who we won against, how we won, and how we played to secure the win.
if the bit about "not getting used to arsenal wins" (i don't think you can call them assna when they came second in the premier league last season, and this season they haven't lost and they're in the champions league, right? but what do i know i'm just a new footy fan <3) is about the post where i said i forgot how good it feels to watch my team win, i don't think you understand what i have been through in the past 12 years as a sports fan. my hockey team has been on a losing streak almost this whole time, and we have been one of the flops of the league for awhile. just take a look at these gorgeous statistics from my favourite hockey team (that i have been a fan of since i was two, thank you very much)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
do you want to talk losing? i know about losing. i know about losing for a long time, in an embarrassing manner. if you want more examples from football, from january to april 2023 i watched psg play every week. that was embarrassing losing in football for real. i might be new to football but i'm not new to sports, and i have to be perfectly honest: coming second is not losing. and what happened today wasn't a loss at all! in fact, it was the opposite! it was a win!
idk about losing the league to manchester city, it seems to me that arsenal has a good system with talented players that can ball out. we will see what comes, as the season is long and there are many other competitions for arsenal to compete in, but i have faith in the gunners and i believe that they can win! (and ill let you in on a little secret: that's what being a fan is all about <3)
i'm not sure if the embarrassing behaviour at the end is for my behaviour or arsenal's behaviour, however i am not being embarrassing, i am just being a fan, and arsenal certainly wasn't embarrassing with their performance today. idk what you're seeing, but bestie i think you might be blind <3
thanks for coming into my inbox anon, hope this cleared everything up for you! next time, let's let people enjoy things yeah? i try my best to be positive on here, i'm hardly ever a hater and i like to spread joy. why don't you take some of that energy alright? alright. hope you enjoyed your stay <3
ps: arsenal definitely are winning the world cup :)

More drabbles as my brain works on everything except chapter 2 lmfao
"Oh yeah, Axl mentioned something about you picking up a kid in America," Marino mused. "How'd that happen?" X gave a wry smile. "You would not believe me," he sighed. Marino quirked a brow at that. "Try me," she smirked. "We've met before," Brook interrupted. "Marino, right? And Cinnamon?" Both female reploids turned to her. "Wait, what?" Marino exclaimed. "I don't... what?" Cinnamon, on the other hand, gave Brook a scrutinizing look before her face lit up. "Minnow?" she squeaked excitedly. Brook let out an awkward chuckle as she nodded. "You're kidding," Marino deadpanned. "Afriad not," X exasperated. "No shit," the green haired reploid chuckled. "How'd you manage to pull that off, kid?"
"Very carefully," Brook grinned. Marino let out a laugh at that. "Oh, Massimo is going to be so pissed," she jeered. X quirked a brow. "And why is that?" he asked. "He bet good zenny on Minnow being a Maverick," she said, causing X to roll his eyes. "But damn, her being human? That never even crossed my mind."
"I told you she wasn't a Maverick," Cinnamon boasted as Marino shook her head.
And an elf war blurb because I forgot to post it a while back
There wasn't any way to hide her hand from sight. At least, no way that wouldn't immediately raise suspicions. Gloves were out of the question. She didn't normally wear them; so if she came in with a pair, Brook knew she would be bombarded with questions. No, her only option was to try and keep it in her pocket. And if that didn't work, then she would have to come up with a lie. Luckily, she had already decided on one. She just hoped she wouldn't have to use it.
"Brook, what happened to your hand?"
Fuck.
Brook turned around to see X making his way towards her, a worried look on his face. How had he noticed it so quickly?! She almost wished she hadn't turned back. She could have used the excuse that she hadn't heard him. As X reached her, he gently grabbed her right hand. "Seriously, Brook, what happened?" he demanded. "I uh... I accidentally slammed it in a drawer," Brook sheepishly answered. "What?" X exclaimed. "Yeah, I was trying to grab some silverware out of the drawer," she explained. "Forgot where my hand was when I closed it." X gave her a disbelieving look. "You... forgot," he echoed. Brook shrugged. "I've done dumber things," she argued.
Sighing, X started to take a closer look at the bruise. Panicking, Brook tried pulling her hand out of his grasp. "It's fine, X," she insisted. "Just a little sore." X gave her a hard look, holding steady onto her wrist. "Brook, that's not just some little accident," he argued. "How did you manage to bruise it this badly?" He was right. It was a really nasty bruise. Almost entirely black with edges of purple and yellow in the shape of a hand, it was definitely not a pretty sight. "I was really mad at the toaster," Brook deadpanned. That was only a half lie. She had indeed been really mad at Omega. X sighed yet again but released his hold on her hand. "Please be more careful," he told her, a look of concern on his face. Guilt tore at Brook. She hated lying to him about this, but she didn't know what else to do.
"I will," she promised. And she would. Brook was going to stay as far as humanly possible from Omega. She wanted nothing to do with the prick. The sooner Weil showed his cards, the better. Then, they could actually start fixing all of this mess.

VERY sus how you made your post about people botting the hottest man poll and all of a sudden hux is losing? i think you hit the nail on the head. i’m sorry but in no world does general armitage rat hux appeal to more people than anakin, cassian, or any of the other more recent outs, especially all of these votes coming through right in the final hours of the poll
So it's interesting that you sent this a few hours ago and now the poll has ended with Hux surviving yet another round (honestly, I had hoped to monitor the poll in the last 2 hours or so and take screenshots so I had some real, shareable evidence, but I was back to work after a week off and I had some big shit to deal with, so I honestly completely forgot the poll existed at all until I got a MASSIVE influx of messages while working sooo lmfao). Cause like, to me, this kinda supports the theory too, you know. Another piece of circumstantial evidence I suppose. I would love to know when it shifted and how quickly
Now, tbf, I love Hux lmao, I love him almost as much as I love Kylo, and I'm also gay so judging men's attractiveness is extremely biased for me (spoiler: I like the ones with more femme features lmao, like Kylo is the most attractive to me, but he also carries the highest number of traditionally "feminine" physical features, so really I'm not the right person to ask XD), but even based on like. I suppose objective attractiveness? Yeah, Hux should've been out by now, like sorry dude lmao, I love you but it's true. In truth, I think Poe should probably win based on objective physical attractiveness, even though I haven't voted for him sldslkdk

Hi friend! I saw your post about the WIP game and I’m very intrigued by the one titled “timeywimey”
timeywimey my beloved <3
this was meant to be my big snowbaz magnum opus. and one day i really do want to return to it -- i have it all planned out and i think it could be really good! i was actually meaning to write it for COBB but then i was a dumbass and missed the deadline hahaha.
but anyway! the premise is basically that simon and baz, abt a decade post-canon, are in a little bit of a rough patch. not like "oh god are they gonna break up?" rough patch but just like... they're disagreeing abt something. but then thru a series of magical mishaps that involved me heavily researching the French win of the 1998 FIFA World Cup ( i cannot begin to explain this here), they get vaulted back in time to their eighth year of Watford. Not only that: but it's a TIME LOOP. so they're stuck in their 18yo bodies reliving the same day over and over trying to figure out why, and also coping with the fact that there's tension between them. AND ALSO fucking all over campus/living out other sexual fantasies lmfao because how could they not.
anyway. the pre-work i have done on this fic is unhinged. i have an hourly timeline of every event that happens on this day at watford, which includes the weather for each hour. IDK I JUST THINK IT WOULD BE REALLY NEAT IF I ACTUALLY WROTE IT!
i have a tiny bit written, so here's a snippet:
“We should head inside,” I say. “It’s almost four. Time for the rain.” He rolls onto his back so that he can look up at me with a frown. I smooth his hair off his forehead with my palm. Sometimes he complains when I do that — it makes his hair greasy. He’s letting me today. (Hair doesn’t matter lately. Not much matters anymore.) “Can’t you just magic them away?” Baz murmurs. He smirks at me, then pokes me in the stomach. “Worst Chosen One to ever be chosen.” I roll my eyes and pull at his hair in retaliation, but I’m smiling too. “I did move the clouds once,” I say. Baz’s smile drops, his brow furrowing.  “What? Why didn’t I know that?”  I pull his hair again. He frowns, so I go back to petting.  “You don’t know everything about me.” “I bloody well do,” Baz grumbles, sitting up. He turns so that he’s sitting cross-legged in front of me in the grass. I take his hand, unwilling to break contact completely quite yet. (I’m sun-stupid and needy; I’m never ready to break contact.)  “I kind of forgot about it until just now,” I say. Baz raises an eyebrow. “You forgot you controlled the weather?” “It was after the Humdrum attacked us. Eighth year, in Hampshire.” I pause, scratching the back of my neck. The memory bubbling up is unpleasant, but not unbearable. Baz’s fingers are cool in my palm. “You told me to run, and I flew away. I could see the forest smoking for the air, so I just sort of… pushed some rainclouds over it.”  The sky is a deep grey now. It matches Baz’s eyes, which are open wide. His mouth hangs open just a second before he snaps it shut, shaking his head. “You’re unreal,” he says. I snort. “I’m a failed science experiment.” Baz pushes at my shoulders, and I let myself fall back onto the grass. He crawls on top of me, hovering over me with his hands on either side of my head.  “Don’t start that,” he warns, then pressing a hard, brief kiss to my lips. “You’re a fucking miracle.”
and then they kiss in the rain :)
ask abt my wips!!

Yeah hello I'm glad I had the opportunity to finish this garbage for once so hopefully I don't screw this up-
Reminder: I will make a next post for Cap cuz I don't wanna make it very long so-
Yippee but first...👇🏻 (1/2??)
Tumblr media
Contains- Blood/gore (?), mention of murder (?), abuse???, cringe AU, poor grammar, etc.
🫀 || ꒷꒦︶🩸︶︶꒷꒦︶∪∪︶꒷꒦︶︶🩸︶꒷꒦ || 🫀
₊˚꒰🫁⸝⸝︰ 𝐆𝐏!𝐊𝐫𝐮𝐩𝐩 ┆ ⤿ 🧠 ⌗
✧ ┊• uhh I don't know what to put but he's a silly little bastard.
✧ ┊• He may be 5'8 or almost the same height as the original Krupp. Some of the students say he's bigger than a damn tree but that's not the case. Just a bit bigger or shorter compared to Mr. Meaner/Kenny and Mr. Ree/Toilette (?)
✧ ┊• In case anyone forgot, Krupp in this AU is a manipulative and aggressive person. At first, he might be neutral but eventually, he will slowly show his real colors. No matter what the victim does or says, Krupp will do anything to manipulate, gaslight, and make the victim miserable. Even if he seems "nice" or not, he shouldn't be trusted by a student or staff (especially if they are new to the school)
✧ ┊•His face can change when he's mad (well also snap and get more aggressive than ever.) He then realized that students will be more scared of him so he feels chill keeping the face like that (unless he needs to rest or pretend to be nice so he had to turn his face "normal" without letting no one see his terrifying face.) And goes to his voice too. His voice goes deep or glitchy.
Tumblr media
✧ ┊• Krupp is a human in this au- the only reason why his face looks like that is because Melvin accidentally shot him with his new invention so um let me explain instead
Melvin's intention was to make a teacher smarter since the substitute teacher (Jerry) is getting on his nerves and didn't understand why he's working there so he built the "SmartyyChanger200" and decided to show it to his principal.
Krupp like a total fucking idiot he is in the damn show decided to grab it from Melvin's hands and wanted to see if it can heat up anything- Melvin's got mad and tried to get it back- it was like a silly ass tug of war except they were fighting over the invention and pulling it back and forth until it slipped out and Melvin accidentally pressed something that caused the SmartyyChanger2000 to shot his principal in the face. NOTHING bad happened to Krupp, he got unconscious by it, and idk what else. Melvin thought it didn't shoot him so he shrugged it off and left the office to test it on Jerry.
Tumblr media
Krupp did NOT turn into a vampire like Jessica, or a random creature (or monster) that happened to some other people like Mr. Fyde and others. He simply woke up and thought he fall asleep on the floor.
And it took him a few weeks to turn him into a villain since his mind or well his "brain" was developing and functioning. And it was before he murder his first victim, Ms. Hurd. (Well I have spoiled the au for y'all)
- his IQ is similar to Melvin's except it's worst than smart. Aggressively smarter than an average staff so far. 🧍‍♀️
✧ ┊• He's a walking red flag ! ! (Pls be aware of that LMFAO💀💀)
✧ ┊• Not only does he change his face (or appearance) he is capable of breaking things. Whether it is wood, bricks, or any sort of material he will get through them just like he did on the 2nd episode of the 1st season 👁👁 and this motherfucker fits on the damn vent. Don't even ask me- um...I don't know how to explain the logic of this one. 🗿
✧ ┊• Unlike the show (well the original Mr. Krupp), this Krupp seems smart and knowledgeable. However, he does everything to avoid getting caught which it was a success for him.
✧ ┊•GP! Krupp has also developed an obsession with murder and cooking stuff. Although he's taking a break from guacamole and salami, he enjoys trying new things and using some of his "special ingredients" for the food. Of course, he even used the ingredients to serve the WHOLE school without letting them know what they are eating is human flesh and mea-  OH FUCK I MEAN UM very cool ingredients!! Um..yeah cool....???
Yeah so epic..umm GP!Krupp will always hide the ingredients and keep it a secret without letting a single student or staff know except for Melvin. He is forced to work with Krupp and knows exactly about the "special ingredients". 👁👁💦 and that's how he gets rid of the bodies.
And he does NOT eat human meat. I mean unless he wants to make a trip-tip roast for himself and get it from the body- (and using blood as a silly dip for the French fries who fucking knows -)
Tumblr media
꒷︶໑꒦₊꒷꒥︶꒥꒷︶‧₊˚ଓ︶꒷꒷꒦꒥໑꒷੭︶︶꒥
✧ ┊• Although people would call him Benjamin or Benny, he prefers to be called Ben for short. But hey he still doesn't mind being called by his real name or any weird nicknames.
✧ ┊• GP!Krupp still has a soft spot for his nephew, Kipper. Our dear buddy Kipper is UNAWARE of his uncle's gruesome behavior, he simply wanted to visit him and GP!Krupp had to hide some corpses in his cellar and lock it in case his nephew tries to get in without his permission. He does not wanna upset and scare Kipper if he lets him witness the things he had done to the people.
✧ ┊• He hates everything that is around him, why of course just like the original Krupp. He hates children and stuff that is associated with "fun" but there are other things that he hates the most; loud sounds/noises and possums. It's not like he seems like a weakness or anything
✧ ┊• And speaking of weaknesses, he does have some that are strange but maybe silly such as:
- Loud noises? (air horn, kids laughing, giggling, and TV statics.)
- Bee sting
- Anything associated with "cuteness" and "adorable" themes
- Children (from kindergarten to 3rd grade)
"Is he really that scared of children? really?" Not really but when it comes to kids who are in kindergarten, it makes him sick in the stomach and personally scared- and there's a little good example
💕•example: Heidi
Tumblr media
You may ask yourself what she has anything to do with this part. Well, you see, since Heidi is very small and childish like the other kids from kindergarten, somehow managed to make GP!Krupp more uncomfortable around the children. Sure, he also wanted to get rid of her to see Harold's reaction, but unfortunately, Heidi makes it more difficult and uneasy for GP!Krupp to kill her. She would also give him some small hitting, kicking, and punches when she's angry at him- soo GP!Krupp would easily give up and ignore her instead of killing her.
꒷︶໑꒦₊꒷꒥︶꒥꒷︶‧₊˚ଓ︶꒷꒷꒦꒥໑꒷੭︶︶꒥
✧ ┊• His relationship with others isn't that bad, some of the relationship (well friends or exes idfk)
- George and Harold: a disaster. He will end up killing them for sure
- Staff members: holy shit, I don't know! Krupp is aware one of them will backstab him and escape
- Toilette & Jerry: a pain in the fucking ass. Krupp seriously wanna fucking kill them so badly mostly Jerry. Jerry is the other reason why Krupp had enough of being patient meanwhile Toilette is a fucking scumbag to Krupp. I mean they have a valid reason to hate his guts but dear lord. Just them fighting seem silly and weird.
- Edith [1st ex]: OHHH....this is getting fire....ummm...- Krupp's 1st relationship wasn't terrible. Edith is kind and sweet but since Krupp fell for Ms. Yewh then they broke up but that doesn't mean they will be friends or anything. They will meet up again except Edith knows exactly what he did after Tara/Ms. Ribble explained the situation um shut.
-Ms. Yewh [2nd ex]: YIKES.. big ass dumpster fire. After breaking up with Edith, he found out Ms. Yewh and Toilette aren't together so uh Krupp took the time to date her for once- weeks or months has passed and they broke up. Oops. Which I don't know if Ms. Yewh will be next dead victim or the alive ex. Who knows. I don't wanna spill the info 💀
- Melvin: oh boy....this poor little bastard...damn... I would say his relationship with him isn't that good, I would say it's very toxic. Krupp ALWAYS sees him as a son to him but he enjoys harming him in the physical, verbal, and emotional ways to get his anger out. Sure Melvin may be an assistant or teacher's pet but he is more than that. A source of entertainment and a punching bag to his principal. cuz that's how his mom (Bernice) treated him when he was a kid and since Krupp sees Melvin like a son and not a student like he used to, probably he would do the same to him, giving Melvin trauma and PTSD on purpose (haha um get it? Mother and son moment? No? Ok, that was too far my bad.)
🧠 || ꒷꒦︶🦴︶︶꒷꒦︶∪∪︶꒷꒦︶︶🦴︶꒷꒦ || 🧠
✧ ┊• He cares about his job, image, and reputation a lot. If a staff member witnes a tragic event and tries to spread the information, GP!Krupp will eliminate the staff. And you may ask how will he do that. Simple MURDER- *COUGH* FUCK *COUGH* - damn too many gory eliminations? Yeah, how unexpected and silly of him.
✧ ┊• He despite Jerry a lot with a burning passion. Even tho he didn't have the chance to kill him but still. He's still thinking about getting rid of him as well once he gets rid of George and Harold.
✧ ┊• SUSSY SUS AMOGU- I MEAN I MEAN. He makes sure to keep everything hidden- ummm he still wants his rule book to be safe so uh yeah he still owns the damn "safe".
✧ ┊• "Fuck you, I can't stop it's so satisfying!!!" -GP!Krupp
✧ ┊•Like I said GP!Krupp would see Melvin as a son and still treats him terribly. But deep down inside he has a soft spot for him as well. Since Melvin is his assistant or his son figure, he always teaches him some stuff in case if GP!Krupp gets himself arrested or ends up disappearing from his life.
Teaching the kid some stuff like:
- how to use the surveillance camera
- drawing symbols and codes (?)
- attacking/harming others
- hunting random people or animal (which went fucking wrong cuz Melvin bit Jessica's arm and ripped her skin from her arm like a fucking animal which made Krupp proud as hell.)
Which of course GP!Krupp doesn't regret doing that, after all he ALWAYS wanted to raise Melvin like he wad his son so he took the whole "Fuck Adoption center" into a whole level and kept Melvin with him without letting hid parents know.
Tumblr media
And of course. Sometimes he has to keep his eyes on him but hey! He knows what to do with him when he gets the chance to adopt him in the new way possible- even tho he might end up using him for his gruesome tasks or silly father-and-son moment stuff..👁👁
꒷︶໑꒦₊꒷꒥︶꒥꒷︶‧₊˚ଓ︶꒷꒷꒦꒥໑꒷੭︶︶꒥
✧ ┊• what the dog doi- I MEAN AHEM. GP!Krupp is pan *cough* *cough* or poly
✧ ┊• He makes random codes for fun just to show signs that he's messing with you. Yep he does troll everyone so don't expect him to do something unquestionable.
✧ ┊• "I AM MORE THAN A GOD...A FUCKING MOUNTAIN! HOOGA!"
Goofy ahh move
That's all pls don't cancel me this took me 4 days to make this garbage 🗿🗿 grrahhh-

⸢I don't know whether you're a suitable guy for this 'three methods' or not, but at the least, I'm sure of this one thing.⸥ The following words were eerily similar to a certain body of text that I was familiar with. ⸢The you reading this story will definitely make it out of here alive.⸥ Han Sooyoung's afterwords came to an end there. For the longest time, I couldn't tear my eyes away from the full-stop at the end of the sentence.
Yeah, okay, at this point I feel like it's almost blatant that Sooyoung is the author of TWSA and the longer I think on things, the more I'm honestly ashamed that I never thought of this theory before now. I guess I was too focused on it being Dokja or Secretive Plotter...who might also be Dokja lmfao...and as a result just kind of ignored the very obvious possibility right in front of me.
Like, I recently started to think that Han Sooyoung is the author mainly because of the fact that we've still got three unknowns left and what looks to be three protagonists of ORV, i.e. Joonghyuk, Dokja, Sooyoung >>> Secretive Plotter, Oldest Dream, The Author. And, thinking on it, a general novel also has three people doesn't it? Writer, Reader, and the Character(s).
And also because Sooyoung's "Predictive Plagarism" is…interesting. She can plot out an entire novel whereas Anna Croft can only use her Future Sight three times a day in very specific ways? Hmmm. Not to mention this power carried her forward all the way to the 1863rd round and the only thing to mess up her plans at the very end was Dokja showing up. Dokja…who can create revisions of TWSA with his actions.
Even Sooyoung herself says that her predictions could be wrong, but even if you take it in the opposite direction and take them to be definite futures, we have this:
Now originally, the [Predictive Plagiarism] was the 1863rd-turn Han Sooyoung's power. The Han Sooyoung of this turn, the one responsible for writing this book, also had acquired that power now. And the result of that was this very book. Here was the brand-new signpost for me to follow, me who had read the 'Ways of Survival'.
I mean, it's possible that she straight up wrote TWSA (and/or the Revisions) with Predictive Plagarism and then forgot. Or that she's so good at predicting what will happen because she's literally the author so of course she knows how her own mind works.
And now she's literally directly mirroring TWSA and calling Dokja her sole reader despite literally immediately before that talking about both Dokja and Joonghyuk. So why is Dokja her sole reader? Why wouldn't she assume Joonghyuk might read it? Might also read it with Dokja? Not to mention Dokja just immediately devours it with a passion that he's only ever shown TWSA.
Also, I kind of glossed over it in one of my tags on a previous post, but Dokja got the Final Version immediately after wanting to ask Sooyoung if he's done a good job and if everything will turn out okay. Wanted to ask her as an author. And that's not the first time.
He's asked her before about TWSA, specifically why she would have written it if she wrote it. At the time, the way she responded to Dokja made me think he was the author but now, after seeing that Dokja can affect the course of the story both inside (revisions) and outside of it (comments to the author) plus everything shifting towards the idea of "the characters are going to make their own story" makes me think that was foreshadowing of an entirely different kind. And let's not even get started on this quote we just got:
The author of this scenario was Han Sooyoung. Regrettably, there was no guarantee of the work ending up as a success even if the author did an excellent job. – Time to start our attack, Yoo Joonghyuk. Because the ones to complete the story were the 'Characters', not the author, that's why.
Kind of sounds like the entire theme that we've been working towards for the whole plot, doesn't it?
And there's other clues, looking back.
Sooyoung always insisting she didn't plagiarize TWSA and Dokja even confirming that with Lie Detection. Sooyoung claiming that everything kind of pulls from each other & there's lots of common themes...and then we see that TWSA is full of other genres and very obviously referenced common tropes like isekai, reincarnation, mecha, battle tournaments, etc.
And then we have Asuka Ren writing Peace Land and then forgetting it and thinking it was something she read, which I have always thought was foreshadowing, though at the time I attributed that foreshadowing to Dokja. But more importantly, Asuka Ren getting discouraged because Peace Land wasn't doing well and breaking down and writing something else (Kyrgios) that was a bit more pandering to the general public. Almost makes you wonder if TWSA wasn't doing well and Sooyoung decided to write something else that took off...
And oh my goodness, I just went back to find the post to reference for the above and LOOK AT THIS WEBCOMIC PANEL! LOOK AT WHO'S LITERALLY IN FRAME WHEN ASUKA REN IS TALKING ABOUT "WRITER WHOSE WORK IS BEING READ BY A READER LIKE YOU." AHHHHHH.
That's actually so blatant I'm straight up ashamed of myself, especially when Dokja outright says he isn't the author, he's the reader. I actually remember thinking it was interesting that Sooyoung was there but figured "oh she's an author too." 🤦‍♂️
And there's other things too, some of which are admittedly more of a stretch than others.
Her attributes - not just the author attribute but also avatar. She can make and control multiple people. Kind of like an author writing a book, huh? Except then she's lost control of one of them because she put too much of herself in it (or vice versa). And now we have the novel where the characters are telling the story...
The huge emphasis on how gorgeous Joonghyuk is, not to mention various other characters' looks, which are compared to Joonghyuk's. Meanwhile, back in Peace Land again we have:
In the midst of running, Asuka Ren often looked back at the rocky area. Han Sooyoung glanced at Ren and asked, "Are you sorry?" "Huh? No." "Don't you feel that it is weird? It is probably the first time you saw a character that you made." "…Yes." "Furthermore, he is handsome."
Sooyoung not only focusing on how handsome Kyrgios is but tying that together with her statement about meeting a character who you created. Seems like that could potentially mirror someone else and their creation, hmm?
Also, on the topic of looks, I recently thought that maybe Dokja isn't from this dimension and that's why he looks blurred (because the Sooyoung of the other universe looked blurred too when speaking to "our" Sooyoung). But now I realize...there's no evidence at all that Sooyoung 1863rd doesn't also look blurred to the people of her world. And if we maybe consider that she's the original Sooyoung... What if both Dokja and Sooyoung are blurred to everyone but each other because they're both outside of this world as reader and author and the characters can't ever fully know what either looks like from inside the story?
Or, heck, I'm not certain we actually have proof that our Sooyoung isn't also blurred or that she sees Dokja as blurred? Like, sure, she calls him ugly but it's Sooyoung, plus that wasn't unprompted, Dokja was specifically asking about his looks and she kinda mocked/teased him. And there's even a scene in the Webtoon when he's dying of poison (the Nirvana arc) where she's like "he actually looks a little handsome" or something along those lines. Which I figured was worth mentioning because I remember thinking it was weird at the time but won't necessarily consider canon since it's the Webtoon and the novel is way more vague:
Like her, he was an ordinary person before the world was destroyed. Such a person had jumped onto a stage to decide the world's fate and was moving the main characters. Han Sooyoung had forgotten for a moment that Kim Dokja was also a normal human. She stretched out a finger and touched Kim Dokja's mouth. Then her face became a strange mixture of a smile and a frown. Han Sooyoung giggled. "…It is really strange."
...Actually that sounds vaguely foreshadow-y even without trying to decide if she can see his face or not.
And too we recently had the whole "which story will you vote for" thing going on where the dokkaebis are talking to each other. Now that we have at least two separate "versions" of TWSA going on I wonder if it's more along the lines of the author's version vs the reader's version?
idk I'll probably think of even more things if I continue reflecting on the novel, but this is long enough.
At this point idek what I'll do if Sooyoung isn't the author because it fits way better than my previous Dokja/Secretive Plotter theories and I was pretty certain at the time that it was definitely Dokja. 😂

so i thought i lost these pictures to time (locked myself out of my old laptop, purged my art instagram, deleted them all off the blog) BUT i found the old character lineup i did !! i forgot i had an art folder on my phone for my old art insta. i don’t know how many people remember the original art i did back in 2020, but i tend to delete a lot of the older art off the blog because i really don’t like my old art and i get self-conscious about it... but it also means i lose a lot of art.
i’m not sure if i ever did post the full lineup, if i remember correctly this version of merry was actually gender-selectable so i drew her pretty “ambiguous” and i don’t know if i ever ended up sharing her and noel. i think it’s pretty funny/interesting to see the changes both in the designs (i didn’t know how to draw or design clothes back then) and also the change in my art in just about 2 years.
Tumblr media
first things first: no i do not know why merry is so fucking stanced. i do actually still like her design (those thigh high boots....), her & clementine’s are the two i still actually think look good here. i really like the bandana completely covering her head and i like the cowries in merry’s hair, though i think it’s funny i drew them in her hair and not noel’s when i’ve always had that as a part of noel’s character description (i still didn’t draw them in the most recent one because i forgot lol)
i do still like lea’s alchemy belt and the little bottle hanging off their other belt, too. i just wish i could remember what i was thinking with their pants. at least they’re not purple..... and they don’t even have their hooves yet :/ i remember drawing them with their hair down a lot because i couldn’t figure out how to draw a bun lmfao. rip to their eyebrow slit (but at least we have their beauty marks now... a fair trade i think)
noel’s design is the weakest in my opinion and i remember struggling the most with xem, too. not really sure what i was going for.... still have xir white boots tho 👼 and i do like xem with the longer locs in a ponytail. i cringe that i didn’t properly color his palms, i’m assuming i didn’t since i just did flat colors on all of them but i definitely still should have colored xir palms. and most obviously here is that noel started out pretty small. i think i drew this and almost immediately wanted to change his design (there are a few older pieces from this time where i Did try to make xem bigger) but i didn’t have a lot of practice drawing different body types. i’m glad that’s one thing i’ve definitely improved on since then.
it’s nice to have this to compare to the newer art and actually be able to see how much i’ve improved, and also the evolution of everyone. i remember i tried to make bases with the original lineup and i messed up every single one and couldnt use any of them again lmfao and this time i have successful bases for everyone so i can play dress up doll hehe
i also think everyone looks way warmer now and like they wouldn’t freeze their asses off in blackwater...
Tumblr media
i also clearly went back to a more illustrative style - back in 2020 i was looking at a lot of animation and drawing my characters in that way, with flat colors and not really rendering anything, and now i’ve started moving back into a more painterly style. anyways. pretty cool! also i just realized i even coincidentally lined them up in the same order 🥺

Jiwoo is sick of you hiding in your room. A whole day she spent without you, just to see you accept Kim Seokjin into your bed chamber last night! It’s unfair. As your best friend, she’s fed up and bored and wants to know everything.
At first, she was worried about you being sick, but now that she knows you saw Seokjin, Jiwoo shamelessly knocks on your door loudly and repeatedly as she waits for you to open up. You take a deep breath, knowing that you can’t hide forever and that she’s the only one who can help you with your makeup to hide the bruises that haven’t faded.
Opening the door, you keep your eyes pointed downward as she storms into your room past you, mouth moving a mile a minute as she begins to huff about you hiding out for a whole day.
“I mean, really, YN! I was so bored all day, and here I was thinking you were sick, when in reality, you were—” Jiwoo’s voice comes to a halt as her eyes take in your face.
“What happened to you?!” Her voice is loud, and you reach out and grab her wrist to tug her to your bed so she can sit and you can explain.
“Did Seokjin do this to you?” she asks, and you almost laugh at how incredulous the idea is.
“No, Jiwoo, I promise you, Seokjin did not do this to me. He actually saved me.” You gather the hem of your nightgown so you can sit down comfortably on the bed next to her, and she turns towards you, awaiting more information.
“The other night, when I left practice with Namjoon and Yoongi, the youngest Kim brother and his friends cornered me. They were extremely drunk and making advances, which I turned down. I think that it enraged him—Taehyung— because before, when I would turn him down, he always let it go.” You gently touch at your sore face, wincing as you find the edges of the bruise beneath your fingers. “But this time, I think if I hadn’t gotten away, he would’ve hurt me.”
“You have to tell Seokjin! Wait, didn’t you say that he saved you? Does he know what happened? That it was his own brother?”
“No! He doesn’t know and he can’t know.”
Jiwoo visibly turns red as she quakes with anger at your words.
“What do you mean, ‘he can’t know’? Are you crazy? His brother crossed the line! I have half a mind to go down to their house and beat the rascal myself!”
“Jiwoo, think about it. If I tell Seokjin what Taehyung did, he then has to choose between me and his family. He’ll feel guilty because his brother behaved so wretched towards me, and if he does the right thing, which he will want to do, it means that he would have to condemn his own brother and tarnish his family name. In telling people what happened, rumors will spread and people will think me a harlot. Those who want Seokjin will help fan the flames and make my life difficult.” You shake your head, hoping to keep the tears at bay.
“But, YN, it’s not fair…”
“When is it ever fair for women? There is no right way to handle this, because Seokjin is too good of a person to let his brother off the hook for it, but how can he look at me the same, knowing his brother…”
“Did he?” Jiwoo’s voice is small, a slight whisper as she stares at you in fear with wide eyes.
“No, but he kissed me against my will, and he got pretty handsy with me. If he’d had thirty more seconds, I would be having a different conversation with you right now.” You shiver at the memory as you explain to her in detail what occurred that night.
“You are so brave. Being a woman in our society isn’t easy, but you handle everything you’ve been dealt with such grace.” Jiwoo grasps your hands in hers, smiling at you with watery eyes. “I’ll make sure to cover for you. Tell them it's a particularly rough month for your menstrual or something so everyone leaves you alone.”
“I appreciate it greatly, Jiwoo. You are the best ‘almost’ sister I could ask for.”
She hugs you before she stands, offering to get you some soup to eat or ice for your bruises. You accept both, and she disappears off to the kitchen, making a quick pitstop to Hoseok’s room to ask him to buy you a new violin to cheer you up.
Tumblr media
The next two days are spent in your room, practicing on the new violin Hoseok got you for dealing with monthly ailments of being a woman. You were pleased to see the deep brown color of the spruce and maple woods that form the instrument, and the ebony chin rest and pegs had glistened from a fresh polish. Upon first inspection, you noticed the joints and seams were sealed nice and tight, and the sound it made the first time the bow glided across the strings had resonated deeply within you. It was perfect.
Once you were able to easily cover the remaining marks that blemished your skin, you went into town to purchase a gift for Seokjin to thank him for your music sheets. You anticipate a proposal to come soon, especially after the past few days that you have had experienced with him. He was the rescuing force that saved you unknowingly from his own brother, the person to tend to your wounds, healing both skin and heart as he held you gently in his hands. Speaking of holding you gently, the heat between the two of you crackled just a few nights ago, so as more days passed and the Jung’s didn’t report that Seokjin had made a formal proposal, you grew worried.
At practice with your two best friends—this time during the day due to your insistence that you prefer to practice earlier so you have time later in the day to do trainings at home with Jiwoo and Mrs. Jung for running a household—you finally work up the courage to ask Namjoon about his brother.
“Hmm, Seokjin? I mean, no offense, YN, I don’t try to talk to my brother about you.” Namjoon gives you a sheepish grin as he rubs the back of his neck. “I don’t want to hear him talk about you how guys usually talk about the women they want to be with.”
You raise your eyebrows, lowering your violin after giving it a quick tuning.
“Oh? So you men sit around talking about us women in a scandalous manner? I wish to be a fly on the wall.”
“You really don’t, YN. They’re quite crass.” Yoongi, ever the stoic and blunt one, nods while he sits at the piano with his eyes closed. “I don’t even like to hear how they talk about you lot, and I like women.”
You let out a small laugh, but something nags you about Seokjin being almost non-existent in your life lately.
“Is that a new violin?” Namjoon pulls you from your thoughts with his question and you glance at the shiny new instrument in your hands.
“Yes! Hoseok and Jiwoo got it for me.”
“That’s very kind of them…was it for a special reason? Your birthday has already passed.”
“Oh, well if you must know, my woman time was particularly diffic—”
“Actually, why don’t we just practice? I’d love to hear how it sounds.” Namjoon blushes a deep red as he sets up the music sheets for you on the stand of the song he’s been composing, and you laugh at his embarrassment. The change of topic works well to get him off the case of the mysterious new violin, with no follow up questions about your old one, the one that is currently missing.
Tumblr media
With practice ending earlier than usual due to the new time you have initiated with your friends, you leave the other two near the Citadel Market where they plan to do some shopping and use the daylight to walk over to the Kim household. You spent a lot of practice thinking about Seokjin, and felt like you were driving yourself crazy wondering where he had disappeared to.
You know it is against the norm for women to go to their suitor’s household to call on them, but with how busy Seokjin’s life is, what with taking over his ailing father’s role, you decide it’s okay. You quite like the thought of getting to meet his parents and have them approve of you, so as you approach his house, you brush off non-existent lint from your skirts and continue down the path to his residence.
Once you turn the corner to walk into the fenced in yard, you see a sight that sends shivers down your spine. You didn’t think Taehyung would still be home at this time, let alone just leaving for the day. You freeze, watching as he fiddles in the doorway, his back to you as he faces inside the house. Steeling yourself for him to say something lewd to you, you raise your head high and walk towards the front door.
Taehyung turns when he senses your presence, and you watch as he appears to fix his mouth to say something to you. Not wasting a moment, you glare your eyes at him and venomously spit out: “Don’t fucking talk to me.”
Taehyung’s eyes widen, and you see a flash of something across his face before a sneer takes its place.
“With a mouth like that, you’ll never get your violin back.”
Not backing down, you turn to face him fully.
“I didn’t tell anyone about what happened that night. I just want to be left alone.”
Taehyung lowers his eyes at you, matching you glare for glare before storming off down the street. You watch him until he’s out of sight.
Ringing the large bell at the door, you wait with gift-in-hand until the butler arrives to let you into the receiving room.
Seokjin takes longer than you expected to come see you, and the tea that was served is almost cold by the time he comes in. You instantly notice that his gaze is guarded, a wary look crossing his face once he seats himself across from you on the small settee.
“I was wondering when you would grace me with your handsome face,” you joke, hoping to ease the tension, but it doesn’t help. You fidget with the gift bag about to speak again to give it to him, but he speaks first.
“Good afternoon, Ms. LN. To what do I owe this visit?”
“Are we being watched or something?” you ask lowly. “Why are you being so formal with me?”
“No, we have the utmost privacy.”
“Okay…Seokjin, is everything okay?” You set the gift bag down, giving him your full attention. You can feel it in your gut that something has happened; the air between you has changed, and not in a good way, so you can’t help with how direct you come across seeking clarity for the benefit of your sanity. “I haven’t heard from you since you came by the house several days ago, and to be honest, I quite expected a formal proposal to be given—”
“I’ve been busy, YN. Quite a lot has been going on in my life the past few weeks, as I’m sure you’re aware.”
You know he’s talking about the role he’s taken on for his father falling sick, but his tone makes you feel like he’s accusing you of not being understanding.
“I know that, you know I understand and I’m here to support you. I just don’t understand why it feels like you’re pulling away or changing your mind—”
“Were you with another man the night you were attacked by those wolves?”
His question stuns you silent. He leans back on the upholstered sofa, crossing one leg over the other and clasping his long fingers atop his knee, watching you.
“I was walking home alone, Seokjin. What is the meaning of this line of questioning?”
“Before you walked home, YN. Were you alone?”
“I—”
“Or were you with another man?”
“How do you know what I was doing beforehand?”
“So you finally admit that you were with another man. I had hoped my brother was wrong, but it seems even in the dark, what he saw was right.”
“Your brother? Why would Namjoon say anything untoward happened that night?” You are thoroughly confused about what Seokjin is accusing you of. You had been with Namjoon and Yoongi that night practicing before you had stupidly decided to walk home alone instead of having one of them escort you, and you’re clueless to know what reason Namjoon would have to allude to anything less than innocent between you and the two of them.
“Not Namjoon. Taehyung. He saw you, gallivanting like a harlot with another man at night…is that who attacked you?”
You freeze in your seat, heart beating rapidly before slowly standing, shaking with anger as you try to keep your voice from raising and alerting people to the bomb that is about to explode from inside of you. Your quick movement rattles the tea and the gift bag on the low table.
“How dare you. How dare you! The fact that you could believe that drunkard! Taehyung is lying to you!”
Seokjin maintains his stoic face as he watches you grow angry, a little surprised by your reaction, but the words he heard from Taehyung still linger in his thoughts.
“What reason would Taehyung have for lying to me about you?”
Your hands ball up into fists as you throw all caution to the wind, your voice dangerously still.
“Taehyung has several reasons to lie to you, Kim Seokjin. The first being to protect himself, and the second being to protect your precious family name. You want to know what really happened that night?” You can feel the anger causing your eyes to water and your voice is starting to break, but you can’t stop now.
“I was practicing with Namjoon and Yoongi that night. You can ask Namjoon. We lost track of time and he rushed home, leaving me and Yoongi to lock up. Yoongi asked me if I wanted him to walk me home, and I said no, because I didn’t think anything would happen to me on the short walk home.”
You take a deep breath, pacing around the low table separating you from Seokjin.
“Unfortunately for me, I ran into three men halfway home. Your precious brother Tae, and his two friends. It was them who attacked me, and Tae who left those marks and bruises on my face and body that you tended to.” You no longer care about being loud, your thoughts circling back to that fateful night as you practically sneer out his brother’s name in disdain. “I lost my violin that night fighting them off, almost lost more than that thanks to your brother! And instead of telling you the truth, I lied and said I was attacked by wolves, because I thought telling you your brother was the one who did this would be something that would tear us apart!” You let out a choked sob, unable to hold back the tears of frustration as you relive the fear of that night.
Seokjin reaches out toward you, his stoic front cracking once he sees the raw emotions pouring out of you. “Please, YN, take a deep breath for me, okay?”
You step away from his reach, not finished with what you have to say. “But it looks like it happened anyways, not because of your brother, but because despite how I’ve opened up to you, you decided that I must be the type of woman to do so with anyone.”
You stumble towards the door with trembling hands and shaky breaths, unable to even look at Seokjin with how furious, no—betrayed—you feel.
“I’ll see myself out. Please thank your waitstaff for the tea.”
Seokjin sits there in the aftermath of your departure, trying to wrap his head around everything that transpired in the previous five minutes. He thinks back through what you’ve said, reminds himself of the wounds he treated on both you and his brother, realizing how Taehyung’s wounds mirrored your own, and he’s horrified that everything you said might be right.
He regrets everything he’s said to you, but by the time he’s processed your words and is stalking towards his younger brother’s bedroom, you’re long gone.
It’s not until you’ve returned to the Jung’s residence and curled up on your bed to cry that you remember you’ve left the gift bag on the table, with a fancy pocket watch that when opened has a picture of you opposite the clock with a perfumed love note inside baring your soul, letting Seokjin know you feel safe with him and asking him to never break your heart.

still feeling the effects of the coffee i drank this morning so i am 🖕😜🖕 posting for my future self to be embarrassed about and deal with.
idk if it was intentional or what but note how this szn, steve implicitly trusts and respects nancy’s instincts in several instances instead of shutting them down, and only ever argued about task delegation but still stands down once approached with reason.
like when nancy wanted to go the library, his response wasn’t “no way. we need to stick together” (which would’ve been well-intentioned and understandable) but “yeah, ok you need someone.” or how he completely supported her idea of posing as academic scholars despite having doubts about the creel lead.
i have more slightly tangential brainrot to say under the cut.
the scene where the scooby gang had a conversation was particularly interesting to me. the dynamics were like: eddie=skeptic, robin=throwing wild idea, nancy/steve=facts, grounding the idea. idk this seems significant to me cuz steve is often the skeptic/straight man in grp dynamics.
this dynamic even extends to the framing of the scene: robin and eddie had their own individual frames, but steve and nancy were sharing not one but two frames (just on that convo alone, cuz they had several others post-DIVE) that just racks focus depending on who’s talking in the shot.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
there’s no way a big-budget tv show just decided to skimp on these frames lmfao so they are definitely intentional lol!!! to me, it’s like an indication that they are finally on the same page (or frame, heh). (edit: forgot to mention, the shot above^ ended with steve moving forward so they’re in equal footing and then they flirted about how she almost killed him that one time, you know, as great OTPs do. so not only are they on the same page in their method of dealing with things, they have also become comfortable flirting with each other, as a treat!) and the ending of this scene where nancy suggests going to her house for guns? steve saying, “so what are we waiting for?” !!!!
it’s just truly a far cry from their s2 dynamic where steve tries to talk nancy out of investigating about barb’s death (albeit well-intentioned). their present selves’ ways of dealing with issues have aligned!!! and they’re clearly still very attracted to each other. so arguments about them not being well-matched just don’t hold water lolll!!
(on the other hand, go back to s3 and see how jonathan shut down nancy’s ideas and instincts because he was concerned about self-preservation, which is not even necessarily invalid cuz his poverty has made him function in survival mode all his life and that’s understandable. but this just proves that their differences as people, let alone as a couple, are more fundamental than anything. sidebar: jonathan’s apology when nancy was proven right was like, “i was wrong. don’t let that go to your head.” and i’m supposed to root for them??? when steve apologized twice, one of which could pass as a famous romantic Grovel and that’s all pre-””character development” s1 steve??? hell naw!!!!!)
argue with a wall!!! idc 🖕😜🖕!! caffeine is wearing off oop--
