OKAY SO i’ve been working on this a3 au for a long while now!! It’s a fire emblem three houses au, where the characters of a3 exist in the world of fire emblem three houses. Below are the written out characteristics, what houses they would be in, etc etc!
This requires a basic understanding of fe3h, so if there are any questions please please ask!! I always enjoy talking more in depth about this au <33</p>
Izumi Tachibana:
Pre-timeskip age: ??
Post timeskip age: ??
Izumi is good with using all types of weapons, but she prefers using swords. She’s also great with magic when the Goddess grants her with their power.
Commoner (has a crest); becomes the Enlightened One
Izumi was adopted when she was a baby. She knew nothing about her parents, other than her adoptive parents telling her that her dad used to be the captain of the Knights of Seiros before he disappeared and gave the family his child. She became a mercenary, wanting to help people on her own accords. Similar to the game’s events, she helps out Sakuya, Tenma, and Banri with some bandits, and in return they take her to Garreg Mach Monastery, where she becomes a teacher there as she tries to uncover the truth about her dad.
The Blue Lions:
Sakuya Sakuma:
Academy age (pre timeskip): 17-18
Post timeskip age: 23
While at the academy, he mainly focuses on lance and riding, and he's lacking a bit in swords and heavy armor.
Noble (has a crest); becomes a paladin post timeskip
Sakuya is a cheerful, enthusiastic young boy who has a very positive outlook on life. He genuinely believes the best in people, and he’s had the dream to become a knight ever since he was a young boy when he was saved by one. He highly values chivalry and wants to be the best knight he can be; this is both because he wants to save people like how he was saved, and that he bought into the glamorization of knights when he was young. However, he struggles when he has to actually kill people, which is something he knows he has to get past if he does want to become a knight. Sakuya grew up north, in Fhirdiad, the capital of  the kingdom. House Sakuma is a very well known noble family in the kingdom, and Sakuya’s dad was close with King Lambert. Growing up, Sakuya didn’t get a lot of attention from his parents, but he had always been friends with Masumi at a young age. His parents let him attend the Officers Academy, but they send him letters reminding him of his duties back home as the heir to the Sakuma House, and Sakuya struggles with deciding on becoming a knight or to take over the House as the only child of the family.
Masumi Usui:
Academy age: 16-17
Post timeskip age: 22
He focused more on his swordsmanship due to growing up in the kingdom as a noble; he is also very skilled with black magic. He’s not that good with axes and heavy armor; he prefers speed and dexterity over defense
Noble (has a crest); post timeskip he’s a swordmaster/mortal savant
Masumi grew up in House Usui in Faerghus, and has been friends with Sakuya since they were little kids. At a young age, Masumi was trained to be a knight since House Usui was one of the strongest houses in Faerghus, and being able to fight was highly valued; he was practically holding a sword before he even knew how to walk. He was alone for a big majority of his life since his parents were always needed elsewhere. He has a crest, making him highly valuable to the Usui family with the swindling of crests; because of this and that fact that he’s a noble, many women have always tried to be with him romantically just to use him and to also be a noble. This has caused him to grow a distaste for love and refuses to be with anyone, except Izumi, who seemed to be the first and only woman who didn’t care about the fact he had a crest. He lacks motivation to do anything because of the constant work in his childhood, and he often sleeps in class and is only willing to train if he’s training with Izumi. He slowly starts to care for everyone in the Blue Lions house, but always refuses it.
Tsuzuru Minagi:
Academy age: 18-19
Post timeskip: 24
Tsuzuru spends his time studying archery and uses the bow and arrow as his main weapon; he prefers to keep a bit further away from battle but will go in if he has to. He’s not that good with wyverns and axes, but is surprisingly skilled at authority.
Commoner (no crest); post timeskip, he becomes a sniper
Tsuzuru grew up in a large family with 9 siblings, and 2 parents who were both merchants. Because of all his younger siblings, he was very responsible from a young age and didn’t have much of a childhood. He always wanted to become a writer, but his father wanted him to become a knight. Because of the money his family had been saving and accumulating, Tsuzuru decided to go to the Officers Academy to make his father and family proud, and to protect his younger siblings. His true passion is in writing, so he would like to still be an author and be a knight at the same time.
Citron:
Academy age: 22-23
Post timeskip age: 28
Citron prefers to be in the front lines! He’s good with axes, heavy armor, and authority, but he’s not that good with archery.
Duscur Noble, but is now a commoner ever since the Tragedy (no crest); post timeskip he becomes a grappler/war master
Citron is from the now destroyed land of Duscur, and after the Tragedy has lived in Faerghus where Duscur used to be. He himself has lived through and fought during the Tragedy of Duscur to not be killed, although he nevers speaks about it. Despite the fact he’s fought in a brutal battle, he still remains very cheerful and happy. He grew up learning the speech of Duscur, so he still struggles with speaking the language of Fodlan, which causes comedic situations. Other than the fact that he’s from Duscur, his entire past is shrouded in mystery, and not a lot is known about him.
The Golden Deer
Tenma Sumeragi:
Academy age: 16-17
Post timeskip age: 22
Tenma prefers to be on the frontlines, so he’s more proficient with brawling and axes. He’s not exactly an armored knight, but is willing to learn more about heavy armor. He’s really bad at magic, both white and black/dark magic.
Noble (has a crest); post time skip he becomes a grappler/war master
The Sumeragi House is a very powerful nobility in the Leicester Alliance; Tenma knows his family’s power, wealth, and high status, and demands to be treated as such. He has been taught at a young age about how to take over House Sumeragi and how to act in the public’s eye, and while he excelled at both, he always felt lonely because of his parents’ absence in his life and his lack of friends. He’s very arrogant, self-centered, cocky (basically his canon self), and he prides himself of being the heir to House Sumeragi, the family crest he has, and the leader of the Golden Deer. Also being his tsundere self, he slowly opens up and befriends the rest of the Golden Deer, but would never admit out loud that he actually cares about them; despite that, he’s so grateful to have met them, and considers them all very close and dear friends, and new family.
Yuki Rurikawa:
Academy age: 14-15
Post timeskip age: 19
Yuki isn’t that skilled with weapons, but he can still go into battle using dark magic. He’s also good at using white magic if he’s in a pinch.
Noble (has a crest); post timeskip, he’s a warlock
Yuki is the heir to House Rurikawa, a nobility that is losing its power and wealth. Yuki hates being a noble and having a crest; he hates that people treat him higher than themselves, or that he’s so great just because he’s a noble and he has a crest. He often daydreams about his life if he was a commoner and wishes he was one, but he always had to face the reality that he wasn’t and that he can’t avoid his responsibilities. He always enjoyed making clothes ever since he was young and liked wearing more feminine clothing, the latter which his parents didn’t like. He would often sneak out to pretend he was a commoner to escape reality for a while, and even befriended a couple of commoners when he was young; one that he still keeps in touch with, and the other he never really saw again. Yuki joined the Academy because he had liked the uniforms; he often wishes instead of battling that he could be making clothing.
Muku Sakisaka:
Academy age: 14-15
Post timeskip age: 19
Muku doesn’t like hurting others, which is a problem since he wants to become a knight. He’s very good with white magic to heal others, but he struggles with most weapons.
Commoner (no crest); post timeskip he’s a bishop/holy knight
Muku always cherished fairytales; his mother was from the Empire, and she had left her noble past to marry the love of her life in the Alliance. That tale, along with the others he’s read since he was a kid, made him believe in true love and the glamorous life of a knight. He always dreamed of becoming a knight, saving people, and doing good in the community and finding his one true love. For a kid as young as Muku, he was quite skilled with white magic. He was friends with Yuki as a kid, and spent a lot of time hanging out with him; it was even Yuki (and Muku’s parents) that convinced Muku to try and get into Garreg Mach, despite how expensive it would be. After some letters to his noble aunt and uncle in the Empire, the Hyodo family was willing to fund his education at the academy since his cousins would be attending the same year. He’s terrified about getting in the way of the knights while at the academy, and he’s very nervous about meeting new people, and meeting his cousins there for the first time (Juza terrified him; he still does occasionally).
Misumi Ikaruga:
Academy age: 19-20
Post timeskip age: 25
Misumi is wonderful with animals, so he prefers to be on horseback using lances. He’s also good with flying, but he’s lacking in authority.
Commoner (has a crest); post time skip he’s a paladin/dark knight
House Ikagura was a dying out nobility that heavily relied on their heir (that ideally would have a crest) to keep the bloodline alive. However, the newborn heir was kidnapped when he was a child, and was never found. The House had another child after him, but even with the new heir, the House succumbed to its debts and lack of money.
Misumi grew up with his grandfather, who had kidnapped him when he was a newborn to raise the child himself; he didn’t want the child to grow up in a terrible House where all of the family burdens were put onto him just because he had a crest. Misumi had a wonderful childhood growing up with his grandfather, and became a very carefree, energetic, and friendly (albeit eccentric) person. He had promised his grandfather that he would go to Garreg Mach and become a knight, to make him proud. Before Misumi left for the academy, his grandfather had told him everything about his past; while this was a shock to Misumi, he surprisingly took it with stride and it did not waiver his love for his grandfather. Only when he went to the academy did he realize he had a crest, and a rare one that was thought to have died out, too. It doesn’t matter to Misumi much–the crest, the nobility (or lack thereof)--he just wants to have a good time at the academy with his new found friends and family, and he wants to make his grandfather proud (although, he does REALLY want to meet his younger brother one day).
Kazunari Miyoshi:
Academy age: 19-20
Post timeskip age: 25
Kazunari is very skilled with lances and flying, and loves to fly on the wyverns. He’s also good with archery, but he’s not good with brawling and magic.
Noble (no crest); becomes a wyvern rider/wyvern lord
Kazunari comes from a very loving family who don’t care if he has a crest or not and care about his happiness and wellbeing. However, being a noble, he didn’t have many friends growing up and felt lonely; this led to him trying to stand out more, and trying to befriend and please people, even if those friendships always end up shallow. He loves art, specifically painting, but that has become more of a hobby than a job after joining the academy. House Miyoshi is old family friends with the Minagi’s, despite them now living in a different region of the country. Kazunari was fairly good friends with Tsuzuru with the little times they’ve actually seen each other before going to the academy.
The Black Eagles
Banri Settsu:
Academy age: 17-18
Post timeskip age: 23
Banri likes to be in the front lines, but he gets taken down quickly because of his lack of armor. He seems to excel at all types of fighting, but he prefers using a sword.
Noble (has a crest); becomes a swordmaster or mortal savant post timeskip
Banri always excelled at everything since he was young, so he lost the motivation and passion to do most things at a young age. Because of his noble status and his amazing talent, he has begun to look down upon people and has become arrogant and condescending. He only joined Garreg Mach out of pure boredom, but after getting into a fight with Juza and losing on the first day of the academy, he made it his goal to defeat him. However, he found an even stronger passion while training at the academy, and it was to change how things were done in Fodlan. He has a deep seated hatred for crests after an incident between his sister and his father. Because of his family’s incredible power in the empire, Banri is trying to start something, and is slowly forming a rebellion against the church and its ways of ruling.
Juza Hyodo:
Academy age: 17-18
Post timeskip age: 23
Juza likes to protect others and be their shield, so he’s very proficient with using heavy armor, and he’s surprisingly good with authority. He’s not good with using bows and lances.
Noble (no crest); post timeskip, he becomes an armored knight/fortress knight
Juza is the first born to the Hyodo nobility, but one without a crest. For a while, the family treated him as any other child, giving him the care and love one needs. However, when their next child two years later was born with a crest, the Hyodo parents began to focus and pay more attention to the younger brother, leaving Juza borderline neglected by his parents. From a young age, he was taught that he had to protect his younger brother because even though he was the eldest son, his brother would be the one to inherit their father’s title and wealth because of his crest. This seeded a great hatred; although he could never hate his brother, he began to despise crests and how people were always treated greater when they had one. Despite all this, he loved his younger brother and would protect him till his last breath. When Kumon decided to go to Garreg Mach Monastery to attend the Officers Academy, Juza went along purely just to accompany his younger brother, as his duties dictate. However, while there, he slowly becomes his own person, not one his parents dictated. Kumon helps him break bad habits (one particular one is how Juza doesn’t talk much; this is from a mixture of shyness and how his parents instilled him how he shouldn’t talk unless they or Kumon permits it), and the others from the Black Eagles help him as well when they begin to befriend him.
Kumon Hyodo:
Academy age: 15-16
Post timeskip age: 21
Kumon likes to be on the front lines to help with the battles upfront. He prefers using swords and brawling, but he’s not good with black/dark magic.
Noble (crest); post-timeskip class is Hero or Warmaster
Ever since Kumon could remember, he was always treated higher or better than his older brother, something he always detested. Despite how their parents raised them, Kumon still always looked up to and idolized his older brother because of his cool demeanor and natural skills at combat. He’s always had problems regarding stress; when things got too much mentally for him, he’d get a fever. Because of this, his parents didn’t let him out often, and he spent most of his childhood with Juza as his closest friend. When he was fed up with the way his parents were treating him, but especially Juza, he was able to convince them to let him and his brother attend the Officers Academy, solely to get away from them (although their parents would never know that latter statement). Kumon doesn’t like crests and the nobility; he’s always associated them with how badly Juza has been treated, and, after meeting Omi and Taichi, how even worse it is for the common folk.
Taichi Nanao:
Academy age: 16-17
Post timeskip: 22
Despite the fact that he really wants to be a swordsman, he’s more naturally good with magic and uses black magic more often in battle. He can use both white and black magic, but he’s not good with horses and wyverns.
Commoner (no crest); he becomes a warlock/bishop
Taichi and his two younger siblings lost their parents when they were really young. They lived in extreme poverty and were homeless for a while, until a noble, Reni Kamikizaka, adopted the three of them. Taichi is still grateful for that, but he was often ignored as a child; despite being adopted by a noble, he still considered himself a commoner and still doesn’t understand most noble things and views them on a higher pedestal than him. This is only reinforced when other nobles also treat Taichi as beneath them. One time, he had helped a kid from the town by healing up their wounds using magic; it was weak at the time, but the kids were so impressed, and he was shortly known amongst the children in the town. Wanting to keep chasing that high of being popular, he began to practice his magic to become stronger, as well as weapons to be able to fight in battles. Reni let him apply to Garreg Mach to become a knight to gain popularity. While attending the academy, he regularly takes seminars taught by Tsumugi to help with his magic. It was also at the academy he recognized Tasuku and tried to get closer to him because he idolized the knight when he was a kid, and still does.
Omi Fushimi:
Academy age: 20-21
Post timeskip: 26
He’s similar to Juza where he likes to be a shield for others. He’s more proficient with using heavy armor, axes, and authority.
Commoner; (no crest) becomes a great knight post timeskip
Omi grew up with an all-male family of four, so he often took care more of the cooking and the housework, making him an almost mother-like person. Despite the nice and caring personality, in his teenage years he got involved with bad people and joined a gang of bandits. The group often didn’t do anything too atrocious, the worst often being stealing of precious values so that they (and their families) could survive. After an accident where Omi’s close friend, Nachi, died however, Omi swore off his delinquent ways. Wanting to keep his late friend’s dream alive, he started to attend Garreg Mach to become a knight. However, he isn’t a big fan of the way the church deals with people who are against or don’t have the same beliefs as them; he knows better than to voice these opinions while at the academy, though.
Azami Izumida:
Academy age: 13-14
Post timeskip age: 19
Azami is very skilled in dark magic and can deal massive damage; however, he’s very easy to take down in batte. He’s also skilled with swords, but he’s not any good with white magic.
Noble (crest); post timeskip he becomes a dark bishop
The Izumida family is a very strong nobility within the empire, and Azami was raised to be the perfect heir to take over as head of the family. However, Azami never wanted to take over the nobility; he would much rather live his days as a commoner following his dreams of being a makeup artist than be a noble. One day, his father overheard his son’s dreams and tried to immediately squash them, but Azami only responded to anger and ran away. He knew his ex-caretaker, Sakyo, was working at Garreg Mach, so he headed there for a place to stay. Eventually, he did make it to Garreg Mach, and he went too far of a distance for Sakyo to turn him down. He stayed in the dorms at the monastery for a while, just until he decided on where to go and what to do, and while he was there he watched the officer’s academy train and practice. Knowing it to be a good skill, he started to practice and train alongside them, and unofficially joined the Black Eagles.
The Church/Knights of Seiros
Tsumugi Tsukioka:
Pre-timeskip age: 24-25
Post timeskip age: 30
Tsumugi is a priest who works at the church at the monastery, so he’s adept at using magic. He’s lacking more physical strength, but Tasuku occasionally trains with him in case of emergencies where Tsumugi has to go into battle.
Priest; he works with the Church of Serios. He grew up as a noble (has a crest)
Tsumugi was very close with his childhood friend, Tasuku. The two nobles grew up together and bonded over the fact that they had too much pressure put onto them as young boys. They both attended the Officers Academy together, and it was also there where Tsumugi became close friends with Azuma, Homare, and Sakyo, who were all attending the same year.* However, shortly after graduating, Tsumugi and Tasuku had a big fight and went down separate paths; Tsumugi decided to stay at the monastery and work as a priest there. During the years of working at the monastery, Tsumugi made a name for himself as one of the most talented healers there, and often works closely with Lady Rhea because of it; he has become one of the most trusted priests at Garreg Mach. He also enjoys teaching seminars about magic, and has become one of the students’ favorites for his kindness, patience, and how well he teaches his subject.
*Tsumugi and Tasuku were a part of the Blue Lions when they attended, and Homare, Azuma, and Sakyo were a part of the Black Eagles.
Tasuku Takato:
Pre-timeskip age: 24-25
Post timeskip age: 30
He’s a knight and has vowed to protect Lady Rhea. He’s good with a multitude of weapons, but mainly sticks to swords and axes. He’s terrible with using magic, but Tsumugi is trying to teach him some basics when the two have free time.
Swordsmaster; works under the Knights of Seiros. Grew up as a noble (has no crest)
Tasuku was very close with Tsumugi during his childhood. After the two had a fight, he left the monastery after graduating and became a royal knight for the capital of the kingdom, Fhirdiad, and let his brother take over the nobility back home. After years of being a knight there, he had gotten stationed to work at the monastery to help train new knights, where he met Tsumugi once again, although still with bad blood. The Takato family has ties and relations with House Kamikizaka in the empire, so throughout his childhood and adulthood (before he became a knight at the capital), Tasuku often went over there to do simple jobs (often it was to act as a bodyguard for a noble there).
Hisoka Mikage:
Pre-timeskip age: 25-26
Post timeskip age: 31
Hisoka is a priest who works at the church, and he often goes out to battle if needed. He is an expert with both white and dark magic, and is also strangely athletic and is skilled with using swords, and animals such as horses and wyverns listen to him. He doesn’t seem to be very good with brawling and axes, however.
Priest; works under the Church of Seiros. it is assumed that he grew up as a commoner, but no one really knows (he has two crests)
Much of Hisoka’s past is unknown. He has amnesia and can’t remember most of his life. He one day woke up at Garreg Mach when someone spotted him unconscious and floating down a river. The priests there were nice enough to let him stay until he was better and to try and help with his missing memory. However, they let him stay permanently as a priest, despite his lack of worship toward the Goddess, because he had astonishingly strong healing magic. They went to the monastery's crest scholar to analyze his crest; they were surprised to find two crests, something they’ve never seen. They have decided to keep this fact under wraps, so that only Lady Rhea, Homare, and Hisoka know about this. One of his crests is of the long destroyed House Mikage, and is an ancient, unknown crest. He occasionally gets vague feelings and old memories, but he can never quite fully remember. He feels very uneasy around Chikage and Banri, but he can’t quite figure out why.
Homare Arisugawa:
Pre-timeskip age: 27-28
Post timeskip age: 33
Homare is a crest scholar at Garreg Mach. He’s very skilled with black magic, and he’s good with using lances. He’s not skilled with riding nor heavy armor.
Warlock; works under the Church of Seiros. grew up as a wealthy commoner (no crest)
Homare is the monastery’s crest scholar. However, he is more known around Fodlan for his poetry and art rather than his research. Back in his home of the empire, he is quite famous and known for his books filled with his passionate poetry. Being such a successful poet, none quite understand why he decided to become a crest scholar and work closely under Lady Rhea; the truth is, he enjoys studying crests just as much as he does writing poems. He is close friends with Tsumugi and Azuma from attending the Officers Academy together years ago, and he is now close to Hisoka as well, being one of his primary caretakers while Hisoka was recovering
Azuma Yukishiro:
Pre-timeskip age: ??
Post timeskip age: ??
Azuma is another priest at the church, and he is also a medical doctor for the monastery. Because of that, he is extremely skilled with white magic, but other than that he’s not really a fighter.
Bishop; works under the Church of Seiros grew up as a commoner (no crest)
When he was a child, both his parents died, leaving him trauma, a fear of being abandoned, and making him an orphan. For years, he stayed at a church because he didn’t have anywhere else to go. Because the church took care of him, he feels very close to the Goddess and credits her for a lot of good things that happened to him that were out of his control. He also enjoys studying different medicines, which led to him being one of the doctors at Garreg Mach.
Guy:
Pre-timeskip age: ??
Post timeskip age: ??
A knight who is very skilled with almost everything except emotions. He mainly uses axes and heavy armor.
Fortress Knight; works for the Knights of Seiros. Has unknown origins (no crest)
Guy arrived at the monastery shortly after Citron started taking classes at the academy; being Citron’s servant, it was his duty to follow him. After some arguments, the monastery let Guy stay to do some grunt work around the place. After seeing how skilled he was in combat however, they let him become a knight (after he got a little more formal training). He strangely seems to believe he’s a machine capable of no feelings; the other knights and staff at the monastery are trying to help him realize that it’s okay to have emotions
Itaru Chigasaki:
Academy age: 23-24
Post timeskip: 29
He’s a knight who mostly uses horses and lances. He’s not good with brawling or archery
Paladin; works for the Knights of Seiros. Grew up as a noble (no crest)
When Itaru was young, he had fallen for the glamourization of being a knight. He was very lonely as a child and didn’t have many friends, so he always looked up to and idolized a head knight that worked for House Chigasaki. He ended up attending the Officers Academy and became a knight himself, although now it is something he doesn’t enjoy. While on duty, he’s gentle and charming, only letting very few people see the true him he keeps hidden away. In truth, he can be lazy and rude, and likes to slack off by playing games and reading.
Chikage Utsuki:
Pre-timeskip age: 25-26
Post timeskip age: 31
He’s a knight, and his records are a bit… weird. He’s very skilled with riding, lances, and heavy armor.
Great knight; works under the Knights of Seiros his origins are unknown (crest)
Chikage one day showed up to the monastery, around the time Hisoka was found, asking for work as a knight. He had a badge that showed that he had graduated from the Officers Academy, but no one actually remembers him attending said academy. They let him become part of the knights, although with many watchful eyes to see if he is who he says he is.
Sakyo Furuichi:
Pre-timeskip age: 30-31
Post timeskip age: 36
Works as a knight for the church. He’s skilled with swords and dark magic, and not with riding or flying.
Mortal Savant; works under the Knights of Seiros. Grew up as a commoner (no crest)
Sakyo attended the academy and became a knight for one reason: to work for House Izumida. His family was indebted to them, and he had to pay them back. After deciding he didn’t want to work for them anymore, he became a mercenary for many years, until cooking back to the monastery to work with the Knights of Seiros. Many don’t understand why he works with the knights, since he seems to have… less than happy feelings about the church. He is one of the strictest of the knights, often leading to many people, from students to fellow knights, disliking him and his no-nonsense attitude. Coincidentally, while he was attending the Officers Academy and its classes, the head of House Izumida was also staying there. He made Sakyo often babysit Azami; because of this, even though he doesn’t want to, he views Azami as his own son in some ways. Because he was young and was busy with classes and training, his acquaintances (Tsumugi, Tasuku, Homare, and Azuma) would also help watch over and take care of a young Azami.

FRIENDLY REMINDERS & MATH EQUATIONS [SHINSOU HITOSHI X READER]
[SUMMARY] what one person writes on their skin also appears on the skin of their soulmate. reader is forgetful and shinsou is bored. awkwardness ensues. [PRONOUNS] she/her [GENRE] fluff | soulmate au [POV] third person [WORD COUNT] 1083 [CONTENT] soulmate-identifying marks | pov switch between reader & shinsou | math
She was forgetful.
[Name] always had an issue with remembering things. She would put reminders on her phone, sticky notes on her walls, and big red words on her whiteboard and in her planner. And yet, somehow, she always seemed to miss them. The only thing she found that would work (and that wasn't even a guarantee) was writing the reminders on her wrist and hand and arm.
When she first started doing it she worried that it would bother her soulmate, the person who saw the scribbled notes appear on their own skin as though they had written it. But, after a while, she forgot about that, too.
...
He was bored.
Shinsou Hitoshi had a problem with staying awake during study hall. He was fine during the actual lessons, hoping to soak up as much hero stuff as he could, but when he was left to his own devices he became utterly bored and horribly tired. He would read and go over notes, but those activities quickly became just as boring as doing nothing. The only thing that would stave off his boredom was to look at the words that would sometimes cover one of his limbs. And on the days where there was nothing, he would absentmindedly draw small doodles on the empty space.
When he first started doing it, he worried that his soulmate would find the cartoon-ish cats to be too childish, or his drawing abilities to be less than sub-par. But, after a while, he grew bored with that, too.
...
It was Sunday. [Name] had two assignments due for English on Monday, neither of which she’d started, and a math assignment she was absolutely clueless about. She’d asked her friends, who were just as stumped as her, and Google didn’t even seem to have the answers, either. [Name] stared down at the math problems in front of her, mind split between figuring out the equations and working on the two English papers. Why had she thought spending Saturday with her friends, getting some extra practice in with their Quirks, would be a good idea?
In a moment of desperation, [Name] glanced at her wrist and the lack of anything drawn by her soulmate. It had been some time since she’d seen anything drawn by them, and she had to admit that she missed seeing the cute cat doodles. It was rare for her to think about her soulmate, writing notes or reminders on her skin without so much as a second thought towards the other person who could read them.
She bit her lip and picked up her pen, hesitantly drawing the first equation into her skin. Underneath it she wrote “help?” and then capped her pen, set it down on the desk, and waited.
...
Shinsou had never tried to communicate with his soulmate through the drawings. He knew people who had, people who had written down their location or phone number and met their soulmates that way. If Shinsou wasn’t being honest, he’d say that it was too much work and he wasn’t interested in the whole “soulmate” thing, anyways. If Shinsou was being honest, though, he’d say that he was worried about what he’d find. What if his soulmate thought he was ugly? What if they hated him and his Quirk? What if they were scared of him? They seemed like such a ditzy, cute person, always writing reminders on their skin, no matter how simple. How could he compare to that? To them, he was just the person who would draw a cat sometimes, and even that was rare.
And besides, they had never tried to contact him, either.
Which was why it was such a surprise when Shinsou saw the equation suddenly appear and the word 'help?' written beneath it. He’d been drying off from his shower, just having gotten back from training, when he noticed it. He stared at the numbers and letters and blinked. The equation looked familiar- they had just gone over it in class on Friday.
He could help his soulmate with a math problem.
Shinsou quickly finished drying off and got dressed, sitting at his desk and quickly picking up a pen. He wrote the word 'okay' beneath their request for help and waited a minute before getting to work.
...
The moment his response appeared beneath her cry for help, [Name] felt the hairs on the back of her neck stand up. She waited with bated breaths as the process to solve the equation slowly appeared. [Name] copied it down, stroke for stroke, in her notebook. It took a second for her to realize she’d been holding her breath.
Within two minutes the answer was there, peering up at her from her wrist. The steps to getting it had been neatly recorded and transferred to the assignment sheet, and [Name] let out a long sigh of relief. 'thank you.' She wrote, adding a smiley face for good measure.
Content with that small bit of contact, [Name] turned back to her papers. She had just started attempting the next problem when the familiar sensation of lines appearing in her skin brought her back to look at her wrist. Written in the space where the palm meets the wrist were new words: 'do u need help w/ more?'
[Name] sucked in a breath, her heart racing against her ribs. Trembling more than she’d like to admit, [Name] wrote a short 'if it’s not too much trouble' beneath the question.
...
Shinsou couldn’t keep the stupid grin off his face. As soon as he realized it, though, he forced it away and replaced it with a neutral expression, though his eyes still glimmered. Talking to his soulmate made his heart beat quicker than usual; he told himself he wasn’t sure why, since he hadn’t given them much thought, but a voice in the back of his head whispered "you know why."
Hesitating for just a moment longer, Shinsou began to write down his phone number. Once the numbers were written, he grimaced. Had this really been a good idea? He thought back to the number of people who had done the same thing he had, though for different reasons. They all seemed happy enough, but was he ready to talk to his soulmate like they did?
Shaking his head, Shinsou assured himself that he wasn’t trying to connect with them. All he was doing was trying to help someone with their math homework. That was it.
Three minutes passed before his phone buzzed.

uhh im just gonna ramble about my a3 "winter swap" au for a bit because i really love it but i doubt i'll ever make anything for it
(to preface: it's been a while since i've played a3 and reviewed its story, so I may have some things wrong here and there. it's part of the au now lmao)
okay so basically just an au where tsumugi, tasuku, hisoka, homare, and azuma are actors for the God Troupe instead of Mankai. (inspo for this was just that I, a tsumugi lover, just really wanted him to be mean and a "bad person" i have no idea why) These guys are the most popular actors for the god troup with Reni as their director; Taichi and Haruto also act for the god troupe, but they almost never get to see the spotlight, only as background characters. The two were lowkey treated like shit by Reni, and all they wanted was to become a good actor and to get fame.
It's still the same song and dance: Reni sends in Taichi as a spy, but Taichi ends up joining Mankai instead. Things explode over at the god troupe, especially between Tsumugi and Tasuku when the latter actor said he would also be leaving the god troupe. except before tasuku leaves, he essentially tells haruto, "you don't have to deal with this shit, you can come with me and join mankai." he doesn't at first, Tsumugi answering for him, "no, he won't and you won't," but Tasuku promptly left after that to see Tachibana. (Tasuku did offer Tsumugi to join Mankai with him, but Tsumugi was more disgusted with the idea of acting for the rival troupes, and was also angry that Tasuku was "abandoning" him). After stewing for a while, Haruto realized he hated being treated like dirt by the god troupe more than he hated mankai; he left and joined mankai shortly after tasuku left.
Needing a winter troupe, Izumi happily let Haruto and Tasuku join after the audition. Seeing potential in him, Haruto become the leader for the winter troupe.
Meanwhile, Tsumugi is fucking PISSED and is in an even worse mood than usual, and azuma, homare, and hisoka are starting to get sick of his shit. Reni, who's also getting sick of his shit and needing him to calm down, offers to Tsumugi that they should challenge mankai. Reni wanted to do this just to one up the rival troupes, and tsumugi saw this as a way to show Tasuku that he was better than those other actors, and to have him come back to Tsumugi.
Haruto took a while to adjust to the mankai company. He still acted like he was better than them all, and only tried to stop acting superior after getting a good talking to from tasuku, izumi, and others who were done with his shit. he is still confident, but his arrogance got knocked down a few pegs after meeting yuzo for the first time. He starts to settle in after a while, though. He was able to apologize to Taichi for treating him so badly before, and was able to befriend the boy. There, he started to feel like he belonged, and even started to let people call him by his real name, Genta Yamada, and slowly stopped hiding his dialect.
Izumi, taking on the challenge, still needed more members for the winter troupe, only having two at the moment. Holding auditions, Shift Arakawa finally decides to at least try and follow his dream, and ends up getting a part in the winter troupe. Madoka and his father have been working for the god troupe for a long while; after seeing the ad to audtion, in an act of defiance being fed up, Madoka audtions to be apart of the winter troupe. To be honest, I'm still not sure about the last troupe member; I'm leaning toward the idea of Guy appearing much earlier in the story for the same reasons, and he joins the winter troupe.
It takes a long while and some supernatural things to happen, but they all begin to understand one another and get closer as actors and as family.
but tasuku still misses tsumugi, his childhood friend. he was a nice guy, a good friend, but something changed when he started acting for the god troupe and under Reni. It's the same thing that made Taichi and Haruto so desperate to attention, the same thing that makes Hisoka either stay in his room or leave all day, the same thing that makes Homare say nothing other than his lines, the same thing that makes Azuma drink so so much. He just hopes that they're all right (even though he knows deep down they're not)

LAVENDER LEMONADE [KOBY X READER]
[SUMMARY] you've had a crush on the koby for the longest time, but he only ever seems interested in talking to your coworker, luffy. you're not sure why the two seem to be engaged in some sort of secret conversation this time around, though. [PRONOUNS] gender neutral [GENRE] modern + coffee shop au [POV] second person [WORD COUNT] 2321 [CONTENT] fluff | assumed one-sided affection | awkward confessions | somewhat crack humor | joking about murder & suicide (in the gen z/millennial way) [A/N] belongs to this one shot collection. honestly did not intend for it to be as long as it is but I apparently have a lot of feelings for koby
Smooth jazz filtered through the air, mixing in perfectly with the lax attitude of the cafe and the light ringing of the bells above the door.
You liked Sunday afternoons. More specifically, you liked Sunday afternoons in late April to early June. Spring was in full swing, if not beginning to dip into summer, and the light blue sky and quiet breeze exuded an air of calmness into your usually quite hectic life.
Regardless of the season, though, Sunday afternoons were always a welcome respite; the morning rush finished with and the end of the week close on your heels. Suffice it to say, there were many things you liked about Sunday afternoons, but if you had to pick a favorite…
Well, it wasn’t a hard decision.
“Hey, [Name]-san!” Koby greeted you, grinning ear-to-ear. You beamed, heart skipping a beat at his kind eyes. “It’s good to see you, as always.”
“I told you not to call me that, just [Name] is fine! But yeah, you too, Koby.” You looked at the blond, sunglasses-wearing man (why he insisted on wearing them indoors, you would never know) next to him. “And you, Helmeppo.” Just once, once you wished Koby would show up to the cafe without Helmeppo. Not that you didn’t like the guy– he was fine. It’d just be easier to ask for Koby’s number without him there, embarrassment eating you alive slowly.
The blond returned your polite greeting just before Koby spoke again. “Is Luffy-san working today?”
And there it was, the real reason Koby insisted on coming to the cafe every Sunday: Luffy. You knew Koby frequented the cafe on other days as well, though Sundays were the day he always visited, without fail. You weren't a hundred percent sure why, considering Luffy didn't always work on Sundays, but you figured that it had to do with his schedule. It would have been stupid for you to even entertain the idea that Koby was a regular at the cafe because of you, especially since he always asked for your coworker if he didn’t spot him working the register. Plus, you knew he’d been a regular long before you began working at the Thousand Sunny, but still. You could pretend, couldn’t you?
No, of course not, not when he was looking at you so expectantly.
At first you’d wondered if Koby had a crush on Luffy, but then Nami informed you that it was more hero-worship than anything else. Luffy had apparently gotten Koby out of a really bad job and had somewhat indirectly connected him to his grandfather, who took him and Helmeppo under his wing.
It made sense, honestly, for Koby to look at Luffy with such admiration. You couldn’t blame him.
It still stung a little, though.
“Yeah, he’s just in the back bugging Sanji. I’ll go get him for you.” Your smile turned a little sad, despite your best efforts, and without waiting for a response you headed to the back, making your way to the kitchen. Sanji was fending off a rabid Luffy, yelling at him to get back to work and stop pestering him for the meat he was in the process of cooking.
“Luffy!” You called, grabbing both his and Sanji’s attention. “Koby’s looking for you.”
Your interruption allowed Luffy to snake his weirdly flexible arm past Sanji’s block and snag the meat right off the pan, tossing it in his mouth before the cook had a chance to stop him. “Koby!” Luffy cheered through a mouth full of food, launching himself past you to explode through the door. You offered Sanji a sympathetic shrug and ignored the way his expression went from aggravated to concerned, quickly following your coworker back to the front.
Luffy was perched on the counter, already engrossed in a conversation with his visitor, poor Helmeppo trying to get a word in when he could between the two’s rapid chatter. With a quiet sigh you input their regular order into the register and applied the friends and family discount, like you always did, and prepped it for their usual form of payment. Helmeppo noticed, like he always did, and paid as you went to work making their drinks.
A medium iced chai for Helmeppo, and a medium lavender lemonade for Koby. Sweet and pretty, just like him.
You silently made the drinks, the receipt rolling from the machine after the payment had been processed. By the time you turned back to the counter with the completed order, Luffy and Koby had disappeared, though you were quick to spot them in the far corner of the cafe. It looked like Koby was desperately urging Luffy to lower his voice, which you knew would be a losing battle. Despite how loud Luffy was, you couldn’t really make out what they were saying, the ambient noise doing just enough to drown out their words.
“Thanks, [Name].” Helmeppo nodded appreciatively, taking his drink from you while you placed Koby’s on the counter.
With no customers in line or looking to be in need of assistance, you leaned against the counter and folded your arms across your chest, nodding at the two men.
“What’s all that about?”
Helmeppo flinched, which, granted, was a bit odd, but you let it slide; you didn’t often talk directly to the guy, so it made sense that he’d be surprised by your words.
“Koby had something he wanted to ask Luffy-san about.”
“Really?” You frowned.
“Yeah. Just wanted some advice.” Helmeppo took a sip of his drink.
Your frown deepened. “Advice? What for?”
You got a shrug in response, which caused your lips to twist into a pout. You knew it wasn’t any of your business, but you honestly could not think of a single subject anyone would want to go to Luffy to for advice. He was a better soundboard for spontaneous decisions, always willing to support you if you wanted a quick adventure or had an idea you were just a bit too nervous to try on your own.
Faster than you thought possible, Luffy darted away from Koby, jumping over the counter and leaping into the back. You watched with wide eyes, continuously confused by his insistence of never entering or exiting the coffee bar in a normal way.
Glancing back to Koby, you saw that he had gone strangely pale, wide eyes flickering to yours for just a moment. He looked… nervous?
“Hey! Luffy, what are you-”
And then suddenly Luffy and Nami appeared, the former grasping the latter’s hand in a tight grip as he tugged her past the coffee bar and out to the cafe proper, ignoring the annoyed and disgruntled looks of the patrons who, honestly, should have been used to his antics by then.
Luffy dragged Nami to where Koby stood, and then the three began talking. Koby and Nami kept their voices low while Nami slapped a hand over Luffy’s mouth, effectively muffling his words.
Taking a moment to process what just happened, you eventually sighed and pulled yourself away from the counter, deciding it’d be best to just focus on tidying up rather than focus on whatever that was.
Well, at least with Nami present, Koby would hopefully be able to get some decent advice.
Helmeppo remained by the counter, sipping on his drink as he shifted his attention between his phone and the trio in the corner. Fine by you, you weren’t necessarily in the mood for chatting, anyways.
By the time you’d relegated yourself to wiping down the counters, the three had begun to disperse. Luffy had his signature, extremely large grin taking up most of his face, Nami was looking at you with a slight smirk and sparkle in her eyes, and Koby looked like he wanted to die.
At that point you weren’t sure you even wanted to know what had been discussed.
Luffy opened his mouth, but Nami quickly yanked him into the back before he could say anything. Helmeppo and Koby exchanged a few quiet words before the blond straight up left, nodding at you before he swiftly exited the cafe, effectively leaving you and Koby all alone.
“I’m scared to ask, but what was all that about?” You questioned after a minute, tilting your head to the side. “Helmeppo said you wanted to ask Luffy for some advice, which probably isn't necessarily the best idea, unless you were wanting encouragement to just go for whatever–”
“Will you go on a date with me?”
You stopped. Your jaw dropped, all words and thoughts disappearing from your mind in rapid succession. The world stopped spinning, and you’re pretty sure your heart stopped beating for a second there, too.
“Come again?”
Koby looked positively terrified, but you saw his Adam’s apple bob as he swallowed and seemed to muster his confidence. “I’m asking if you’d like to go on a date with me, [Name]-san.”
“Why?” You spluttered out, unable to stop yourself. God, just say yes! Why are you like this?
His face was impossibly red, but he maintained eye contact. “I’ve liked you for a while now, ever since I saw you on that first Sunday we met. I- I thought you were incredibly beautiful, but I didn’t know if you’d ever feel the same way.” His jaw clenched. “Luffy’s been telling me to just tell you, that you liked me too, but I didn’t believe him.”
Luffy knew? Luffy told Koby that you liked him? Luffy had somehow managed to keep his mouth shut about the entire thing for God knows how long?
Oh, you were going to kill him. You were going to ring his rubber-like neck–
“It wasn’t until he brought Nami-san out to confirm that you felt the same way that I was able to build up the courage to ask.”
Oh my God, you were going to kill not just one, but two coworkers.
Sorry, Sanji. It had to be done.
“B- but if they were lying, and just messing with me, I- I completely understand!” Your eyes refocused, spotting the panic quickly enveloping his demeanor. “I- I’m sorry for bothering you, I’ll never talk to you again if you don’t want me to, I’m so sorry–”
He must have taken your silence as rejection. Your heart twisted in your chest, beating wildly against your ribcage.
“Oh my God, no! No!” You interrupted him, waving your hands in the air and shaking your head enthusiastically. “No! Koby, no! I’m sorry, I was thinking about how I was going to kill Luffy and Nami, that’s all!” You cringed as the words left your mouth. Just how badly could you fumble this opportunity? “N- not because they lied to you or anything! They didn’t! That’s why I have to kill them. I can’t believe they ratted on me–”
“Wait, so you really do like me too?” His words stopped you dead in your tracks, the smallest hint of hope audible to your ears. You took the moment to refocus, taking in the way the panic had begun to ebb away from his features. He was looking at you with a softness that made your knees weak, the corners of his lips twitching into a faint smile.
“Koby, I– yes.” I have been hopelessly crushing on you since we met. “Yes, I like you too, and yes, I’d love to go on a date with you.”
It felt like you were back in high school, but you couldn’t find it in yourself to care.
The smile Koby directed at you was a reward in and of itself. You’d never seen him so happy, so relieved; you wanted to make him smile like that all the time.
He laughed, light and pleasant and wonderful. “I’m so glad. Thank you, [Name]-san–”
“Wait.” You held up a finger, stopping him in his tracks. His eyes widened. “I will go on a date with you, but only on one condition.”
You felt a little bad, seeing the way he quickly reverted to the meek, nervous Koby from before. “O- okay?”
“You have to stop calling me [Name]-san.”
It took a second, but he smiled and laughed again, eventually nodding. “Fine, I suppose that’s fair.” And there he was again, the confident, happy Koby you admired oh so much. “When does your shift end?”
“In about three hours.” You glanced at the clock, unable to stop the frown from appearing on your lips.
“Perfect! I have some errands I need to run, but would you like to get dinner with me once you're off?”
You looked back at him, cocking an eyebrow. “Just the two of us? No Helmeppo?”
He chuckled and rubbed the back of his head bashfully. “No Helmeppo.”
“Then yes, I would love that. But, uh, give me some time to get changed and ready and all that, first. Meet back here in about three and a half hours?”
“Sounds good.” He looked so happy, so pleased with himself and your response. You couldn’t help but attempt to match the brightness of his smile. “I’ll see you then, [Name].” The way he said your name without the honorific made you shiver. “Thanks for the drink.” He grabbed the long-forgotten lemonade and offered you a little wave, one which you happily returned.
“Any time. See you in a bit.”
With one last satisfied nod, Koby exited the cafe. You watched through the windows as Helmeppo attacked, throwing an arm around his friend’s shoulders, mouth moving a mile a minute. You flushed, the events of the past few minutes finally catching up to you, and you suddenly became aware that you were in public.
That entire exchange had been in public.
You wanted to crawl into a hole.
“Yay! I knew everything would turn out okay!” Luffy’s voice appeared from behind you.
Ah, yes. Right. Okay, new plan: murder Luffy and Nami, and then yourself.
But not until after your date.
