those first couple weeks after escaping a time loop have gotta be disorienting as all fuck. all those little cues that used to tell you what's about to happen are now triggers that cause you to brace for something that isn't coming. you have to relearn the permanence of death -- hell, you have reacquaint yourself with the entire concept of finality altogether. everything keeps changing but it never changes back and you keep having to remind yourself that this is normal. "it won't reset anymore," you echo to yourself, over and over and over, like a broken record, like you're still trapped in a loop, like someone who escaped the time loop but was doomed to bring it into the future with them

After all, it wasn’t every day the Muku Sakisaka appreciation club could meet, they needed to tell as many wholesome stories as possible about the young actor until they could reconvene next month. “Ah, that is absolutely splendid! In fact, it reminds me of our last tea party! Young Muku-kun seemed so excited to tell me that in the gardens of the glorious St. Flora academy, he spotted a bush of roses, which reminded him of moi. Why not even one of my poems could do the feelings of pure joy that I felt that very moment justice… However, I would be happy to give it an attem-” “he drew me a picture.” The words of the sleepiest winter troupe member made the conversation go silent. 10 eyes all stared as the man slowly pulled a piece of neatly folded paper out of his hoodie pocket and displayed it to the group. There, drawn in a very shoujo-esque style, was Hisoka himself, dressed like royalty with a strangely shaped crown atop his head. “He made me a marshmallow prince…” He stated, smiling to himself, “He gave this to me when we went to the cat cafe the other day.” “That’s it,” Azuma stated, shooting up from his seat at their table at Guy’s bar, and pulling out his wallet from his back pocket. “I’m doing it. I’m adopting him.” “Azuma no, you can’t” “I can and I must. Look at him, he’s so pure, so good, I simply want to give him the entire world, so I’ll do it. How much do you think his parents will take? I’ll give them all I have I-| He was cut off by the feeling of a large hand on his shoulder, and turned his head to see Tasuku. “Azuma no, You can’t” “Tasuku…” “Azuma you are being ridiculous… We aren’t worthy…” Azuma sighed, placing his wallet back into his pocket before sitting down, his head in his hands. “You’re right… we aren’t…” Guy, who had been silent this entire time, finally spoke out, breaking Azuma from the spiraling trance he had started down. “I think…” He began, waiting until he had the attention of his troupe members, “We should use this as a learning experience. And promise to better ourselves, and become the good people the Little Prince deserves…” “Agree”

Kazunari brings Misumi to his art school to hang out on the campus and then they decide to have fun painting together for half an hour on some spare $1.6 a pop 5x7 canvas boards, and then a professor walks in and starts gassing Misumi UP, like stumbling back in utter amazement at his "profound grasp of shape and color" etc, and suddenly there are like 7 feral art teachers in the room urging Misumi to pursue his gift, chatting amongst each other about securing his scholarship, marveling at the triangles he painted, "his comprehension of composition, shading, light", and they are EATING IT UP, "we could be looking at the next Picasso in the rough", even Kazunari's like "okay, it's getting a little much, but go Sumi!!"

And then there's like a week long stint where Misumi's never at the dorms or missing practice because the art profs are keeping him busy at the university, he comes back caked in charcoal or paints or oils or literally whatever at the crack of dawn only to go trudging back yawning at 10 AM. And then suddenly the headmaster's sitting in the living room with a grave expression like "listen, he has a GIFT. He is BORN TO CREATE ART. LOOK AT HIS SHAPES" it's all just triangles, good for Misumi. "You're going to have him rot in THEATRE? LOOK AT THIS." They're actually putting up a fight to take Misumi from MANKAI. The headmaster and the feral art profs vs Izumi and MANKAI, just yelling over each other about what's best for Misumi. And then,

"Are you daft?! Are you blind to this boy's potential?!" one prof yells. "He could be the most important contribution to Cubism since Popova!"

And then Misumi, at the table ignoring everyone's nonsense in favor of doodling triangles, suddenly looks up. Perturbed.

"What-ism?"

And then the scene cuts to next week where absolutely everything is the same again and no one breathes a word about art school

I remember a couple months ago thinking about Fuuta returning to the normal world post milgram only to find his account had been hacked and suspended in his absence.

But now it's like actually a possibility he could get out of milgram and enter into a post-twitter world
