Haven't been feeling great about my posture. Does anyone have any advice. Here's a super rough sketch of how I often work

self-indulgent, ask meme, my stuff

1. Star-crossed lovers  (aka people who come from opposing sides (families, countries, worlds etc.) 2) One is rough and scary and the other is sweet and wholesome 3) Two friends who are partners in crime and both care about one another (not necessarily romantic)

2. 1) “fixing the other”, where one is “traumatized one” who has to be fixed by the other. bonus hate points if the former one lashes out / manipulates hurts the other and that’s portrayed as “romantic”. 2) any ship that romanticizes manipulation and dangerous things or portrays one abusing the other as romantic or “hot” (domination and stuff). 3) ship with an age difference.

3. That Trope, where one knows well that the other will not harm them, in spite of the fact that said other has a very scary reputation and is powerful or dangerous , or monstrous, in the eyes of the masses. Or when strangers dont believe the character has any feelings but their partner undersatnds who said character is as a person. Its Not the “nobody but us understands” trope, I mean..uh. different trope, where the partners trust each other and know the other has no vile intentions, no matter what the partner represents in the universe they are in.

4. The scenes where one slowly reaches out and touches the other’s cheek with one hand. And they both look sad.

11. very positive. Underrated and should be more popular. They can be even more impactful than romantic ones I think. They are heavily slept on.

14. They dont have to get married if dont want to. Personally the feelings are the key important element, marriage is just a formality (in ships).

15. I like oc kids with characters who are of same age. Usually I liked their designs and I find it cool. I haven’t drawn oc children myself but ive seen ones made by other people and I thought it was..cute.

Hive Troopers!

But what if the Kaminoans crossed Jango's DNA with some sort of Nabooian or Alderaanian honey bee? It probably helps them communicate on the battlefield, and obviously they get the benefits of not needing a jetpack! I've got a lot of thoughts about these boys, but I'll just give some of the basics for now:

The troopers can use communicate sort of like a hive mind! It's not as sophisticated as using communicators, but they can convey feelings and vague ideas

Their antennae are very sensitive! They can be used to sense touch, smell, taste, some vibrations, temperature, and more! I think that ARFs like Waxer and Boil would probably learn to use them with a lot more skill through their training, in the same way they'd learn to use more complex or advanced HUD modes.

I think that troopers' stingers would be closer to the stingers that wasps have: retractable, and doesn't cause them to die after one sting by getting ripped off.

Troopers' wings are also probably way more durable, I can't imagine the Kaminoans sending them into battle with anything fragile like that, so they probably modified the DNA. I think the wings are pretty flexible instead of being breakable.

I'll go into this more another time, if anyone is interested, but I think that the distribution of internal organs would be significantly different with the addition of the secondary abdomen.

The boys are FLUFFY!!!

I think that the fluff would be kinda waterproof (I mean,,,, they grew up on Kamino and all) but on the other hand I think it'd make fire waaaay more dangerous. I think that blaster bolts could also cause the fluff to catch fire....

Can they make honey? yeah dude they're beeeeeees

They probably made space-mead out of it lmao

I have a lot of feelings about the way cadets are grown in little tubes land sleep in tubes on the walls like bees use honeycomb for their larvae and its all in large curved structures and how the whole thing seems just a touch like a hive......

They can DEFINITELY dance maps like bees can!!!! The ARCs and ARFs are the best at it.

They don't have compound eyes, but they do have hexagonal pupils!

I'm gonna doodle more of this whenever I have time, so let me know if you want to see anything specific, or have any fun ideas from this? I'd love to talk about them!!! <3

I also want to say that I have been VERY heavily inspired by @mothask! Please go have a look at their amazing fluffy moth boys!

@yukipri's winged au is also a huge inspiration for this! Y'all have GOT to go check out "Take Flight, Brothers All" on ao3 it's SO GOOD!!

And finally, a lot of the ideas I've developed about the bees' ARF training have come from the Reconstruction Corps AU (specifically Open Skies), created by the amazing @cacodaemonia!! I've got a lot of plans for Wax and Bo as ARF bees that I'm so excited to get started on!

🐇 ⇢ do you prefer writing original characters, reader inserts, or a mix of both? 

Original characters, for sure. I'm not fond of reader inserts, nothing against who write/read them, but it's not for me because they feel a bit gaslighting. The few occasions I dare to read them I always say "I wouldn't f*ing say/do that!", and I feel I have no right to force the reader to feel/say/do things they normally wouldn't. I know it's fiction, but I cannot connect with reader inserts, neither in reading nor writing.

But unlike insert readers, the possibilities with original characters is infinite and there's no one that can say that the OC wouldn't react this or that way except me! (When I'm writing them ofc) And I accept whatever the OC's reaction is when I'm reading it bc it is what it is. I have no base to refute it.

🍄 ⇢ share a head canon for one of your favourite ships or pairings

Kalluzeb when they get hurt: two sides of the same coin

Zeb goes berserk when Kallus is in danger. Any imperial in a mile radius of them will have a gruesome demise. It's a little scary to witness. But later, he calms down once they're safe and patches Kallus up with utmost care. Kallus gets often hurt, so Zeb is an expert by now.

On the other hand, if it Zeb who gets hurt during a mission, Kallus keeps his head cold and do what he needs to do to get Zeb out of there. He's methodical and pragmatic about it. But once they're safe, Kallus crumbles. He can't deal with Zeb hurt. It messes with his head.

🌿 ⇢ give some advice on writer's block and low creativity

I struggle with this myself, but sometimes I do things that help me

Take a break from writing (sometimes even a short break is enough, sometimes you need days or weeks. It's okay)

But during the before mentioned break (especially the long ones) you can do other things, get out of your comfort zone. Read something (your favorite book or something new), watch tv shows/movies in a different genre/fandom you're writing for. Do another type of art, listen to music, etc.

Brainstorm with someone else (or several others). This is VERY IMPORTANT. Sometimes what we need to get unstuck is voicing the problem. I'd say that 7 out of 10 times, you'll find the solution by yourself while explaining the other person. If not, then your friend(s) will give you one, or at least, spark your imagination by telling you the detail you were missing.

Remember that even just a sentence written is progress.

And, even if it's often discouraged by many writing advice lists, edit that last portion of what you wrote and don't be afraid to discard what doesn't work (but don't delete it. You can save that for another story or later on in the same fic you're working on.). Doing this, you can make the story flow easily again.

for @theunvanquishedzims I've been consumed with YukiPri's Star Wars fic and art this year, and I want to share. Can you scroll through Paint Your Armor Not With Blood, But Gold, find your favorite clone boys, and do something with them? There's also the Clone Database (same Ao3 account) with her two OCs so far. Whichever crazy blowy-uppy warrior babe man strikes your fancy. Blackout and Ashe are my favorites.

I'd been seeing these boys go past on my feed, so learning more was kind of fun. I really dig the beaked helmets.

@yukipri is an amazing artist and writer! I first fell in love with YukiPri’s art when I saw their winged Cody and Rex 💞. Then, I just had to read their AU fic about winged clones Take Flight, Brothers All and loved it as well!

I've been looking through your archives and I noticed there's a lot of art that was done by some problematic people in the SW fandom like yukipri (obikin shipper), arrothededushka (clonecest shipper) cobaltbeam (they interact with and follow a lot of clonecest artists including one involved in a scandal) and chocomars (rexsoka and clonecest shipper). I just wanted to warn you in case you weren't aware of it?

Yeah, unfortunately at the time of reblogging a lot of that art, I wasn't fully aware of what these artists were up to. I tend to lag behind on fandom news/discourse because sometimes you just gotta back away and think (which often ends with me just being out of the loop and I welcome any and all information on recent events to be delivered to my inbox like a newspaper to the doorstep).

A friend of mine dutifully informed me of beam's silent support of clonecest artists literally yesterday, and put me up to speed with what happened with one of those artists in particular (what I was told was appalling and honestly I understand why everyone's been so careful with looking into who they reblog from nowadays). I'm trying to get into the habit of looking before I reblog, but sometimes appearances are deceiving and just because people don't draw certain things doesn't mean they're completely against it.

I'm honestly a little sad because I did quite like these artists and their art, but I've decided to put my foot down in terms of these ships and I'm not backing down. I've been also looking into doing a sweep of my archive to take down some posts but I tend to get distracted and put it off for another day because my Star Wars tag has over 5000 posts and my Macbook loads at -Slug Speed.

I really need to get on with that... Procrastination my beloathed...

But yeah, rest assured I'm aware of what those artists get up to now and I've both withdrawn support for them and blocked them. I just gotta clean my archive.

I'd like to thank my friends for bringing me up to speed on what goes on when I lose track of the fandom and I hope to be more careful next time I see something nice and shiny.

AHHHHHH! Oh my God, I loved the snippet of dark Din and Boba so much! So much packed into just a brief excerpt-- Din's complete and utter fascination with Luke down to noticing the freckles on his face! Din going straight to Grope Town and not giving a shit about the bounty money! Boba's fond exasperation with Din, coupled with his indulgence of Din as his little brother and the implication that he's been emotionally functioning as Din's family in addition to teaming up with him in bounty hunting! Luke realizing he's in completely over his head! Boba with hair! (I also love Boba with hair; he's hot bald, but Tem had great hair in AotC and I like thinking of Boba with it) Boba calling Luke pup! Luke realizing the choice is in his hands, even if n either option is a great one for him!

Seriously, you have made me want this EVEN MORE and I was already craving this story and desperately hoping you would be going ahead with it someday. (I totally get why some parts of fandom's attitude and their campaigns related to dark material would make you hesitant, though. But rest assured, there are parts of fandom who would simply explode with joy if you did undertake it.)

Just, this is so so so good and every time I get even a sliver of it, I gobble it up in delight. Thank you!

:D I am so glad you enjoyed it! I still plan on doing it, it is my hopeful (maybe) next project before the next big one. I think this would be 15 chapters at the absolute highest. So it shouldn't be as long as Blooms or any others I do.

And I don't want to tag the artist as I don't want them to feel connected to something so dark, but if ever see the glorious YukiPri on Tumblr/AO3 their Clone/Boba art is phenomenal and something I just visualize for Boba cause it is glorious. But Temura is just gorgeous--he is such a handsome man.

I am so pleased to hear that you enjoyed the snippet! I want to for sure try this! It would not be for all, for sure, but for those that are interested in such a dark fic, i do want to make it for them!!
