William Rex Route Review

Okay~ Finally, I sat down and completed William's route today morning.....till 4 am. Yes, I have no life and my opinion is....it's kinda good! Honestly, a part of me was expecting it would be a snoozefest and another part of me was like 'Don't worry, it's gonna be fine. You'll love it!"

Usually when I play an Otome game, if the game doesn't manage to impress me within the first 30 minutes, I'll just immediately uninstall it and would never download it ever again. But I have a soft corner for the Ikemen series because their games really fill up my lonely heart....anyways. I'm not gonna sit here and compare Ikemen series with Voltage games or anything. We'll only compare ikemen games with other ikemen games!

I thought that Ikegen was gonna be my fav game forever and I used to think I wouldn't love another game and its characters as much as I love Ikegen. I mean look at Yoshino, for example! Do you really think any MCs could ever beat her? She's honestly the best thing to come out of Cybird and very thankful to them that I finally got an MC I could truly love!! Since Ikegen set the bar up really high, I was hoping the next upcoming game to be even better or at least the same as Ikegen........and then we got something that I don't even wanna talk about :/

So I was skeptical about the projects after that and then we got the news about Koihana. It got me interested, but it wasn't exactly a game in the 'Ikemen series'. There is no 'ikemen' in the title. Not that I won't play, I will when it comes out when I have time. After that out of nowhere, they dropped the teaser for Ikevil and I was SHOCKED!! because I was expecting a teaser of Koihana that day. I was honestly shocked that we're actually getting two new games for the 10th anniversary. The bgm in the teaser was so good (but too bad they didn't use that bgm even once in the whole game!) and I got intrigued about the characters, how they are gonna look, the MC, what's the story about, whose the artist, MC's role blah blah blah etc etc...I was super hyped.

Then the game came out and I played. Like I said, if the game doesn't impress me within the first 30 mins, I was gonna immediately uninstall it, because what's the point in playing if you're not gonna enjoy it, right? I need that 'first impression' to be the best impression! Honestly, I wasn't expecting a gore scene IN the prologue. I thought the prologue would be nice, calming, and maybe a little bit violence here and there...BUT NO! They didn't hold back at all and I LOVED IT! It got me really excited.

I started with William's route because I was planning to translate it and was expecting a lot more gore. William's route is good..................if you can sit through at least 15 chapters without sleeping, then I guarantee you that you will enjoy it. This is also coming from a person whose fav type is not William. Let me divide William's main story into two parts, without giving as many spoilers as possible. The first 1 to 3 chapters are okay. It just gives basic info about William, his personality, and other characters....simply basic stuff. The chapters from 4 to 14, are basically filled with William and his friends doing various missions and William helping Kate to be honest with her desires. It's mainly the bonding stage and I wasn't really into it because I felt like nothing was happening. Even William and Kate's interactions were alright, didn't get me that excited at all.

The story was moving really slowly and it felt like a lot was happening but I wasn't finding anything exciting. There was no 'real' conflict for example, there is no enemy that is terrorizing the Crown. The Crown members look severely overpowered and they are killing all the butterflies without breaking a sweat. The Crown members having these abilities as the 'cursed ones' is honestly very op if you use it in the right way at the right time. There is not much hand-to-hand combat which I personally love watching and translating. But I also love that they are all working together on these missions in groups. It's not like each member is assigned a different mission. All the members have faith in each other and help out each other when doing missions. No egos are clashing, no unnecessary fights, I love that about Crown, even though they all state that they are not friends.

So In between I was thinking...."What's the real threat here? What is Kate's role? Is her role only going to be just standing around and watching people die? Because if it is, then it's very boring."

It was only after chapter 18, that I really ended up liking William's route. William after chapter 18, is one hell of a badass character. There is this certain scene in chap 19 that I really love and it really caught me off guard for a second. There are some lines said by him that I really love. I can't wait to translate that chap and the madness ending. Also, William and Kate's relationship gets really fun. It's cuter and William keeps teasing her whenever he gets a chance (reminds me of a certain other King with black hair and blue eyes who is also cursed!).

The route has some gore and creepy scenes which are really good in showing how horrifying the world actually is. There is no filter. It feels like no one is safe. I don't even know why because at some point, I thought that there is going to be a scene where Kate is also gonna be injected with drugs. I don't know why I thought something like that, maybe in the future, some golden butterfly member will kidnap and inject drugs into her or something to mess up with the male lead's mind....who knows? But it feels like Cybird is not holding back with this one.

Now, coming to Kate. As an MC, I think she's good. She's very nice, caring, understanding, and possessive (lol). I like her a lot. I feel like out of all the Ikemen series MCs, Kate is the only one that has some sort of character development. She goes from being this shy and reserved person to more lively and talkative. It's kinda cute. She gets more bold in the latter half and doesn't shy away from expressing what she wants to do. I like that. Thank god, cybird didn't end up ruining her character in an attempt to make her look pure-hearted. The only, drawback I have with her is her job as a 'fairy tale master'. Honestly, it's such a.....meh job for some reason. She doesn't really get to do much, she only has to stand at the side and watch the male leads mutilating people. It's kind of boring because she has no real goal in life. I thought her job was to find a way to break the curses of the Crown members but no, she simply writes reports that are to be submitted to the Queen. *Sighs* it's fine, I still like her though and I hope her personality doesn't change once I switch routes, or else I will be mad.

Final thoughts, not bad as the first route. I mean it's still the 'first route' and I'm sure the future routes will be crazier....especially Jude's route (I hope I don't die before that!). I feel like his route is going to be before Victor. But still, William's route did a good job in making me wanna continue playing this game, so that's a plus for me. If not, I would have uninstalled it immediately, waited for Jude route, and re-install it then.

I was thinking to start Harry's route next (not translating that btw!) but I'm restarting William's route again to get the other ending not because I'm poor and saving up gold for Harry's route, pfffttt not at all!

I had no idea Ikemen Revolution was discontinued. That’s such a shame. I would’ve loved to see how the MC met Dean (he’s a rouge one for me).

I really want to read Ikemen Villains and Gen. Because apparently the MC in Gen is actually the best amongst all the Ikemen universes. Hopefully someone has translations for these.

Not at all a problem!

IkeRev's recent and last route was for Dum, but both his and Zero's route contain a fairly decent amount of content involving Dean. Zero's route also contains a little bit of content for Mousse as well as Oliver's. However it's still depressing that we won't get content for Mousse, Dean, or Blanc now because of the direction Cybird chose to take for IkeRev.

I personally would have loved to see what direction they would have gone for Dean myself. But alas, it'll never be.

As for IkeVil and IkeGen, I believe @archiveikemen has a fairly decent amount of things translated for IkeGen, there's a fair amount there, so I'd wander over there. They also have a few things translated out for IkeVil as well, same with @otomefiend. So I recommend taking a look at their wares for both!

And yes! IkeGen's MC (or Yoshino) is one of the better built MCs that Cybird has going currently, as she's rather well rounded and fairly realistic with the things she's been pulled into. (though in my heart, all the MCs are #1 but that's because I'm Bi and Bias)

I appreciate it all the same! So thank you so much for listening to me ramble about here and there on some things. Obviously I'm in no way an expert, but I do what I can with the time I'm able to lay out.

Appearance and Personality

Appearance: Chione has rather an average female body type, but became a bit slender due to her days of not eating much. Before becoming an infected and getting abducted, she originally had sandy blonde colored hair previously as a human being in the past. But after the experiment and with her escape with her older sister her looks changed in the aftermath, she now has salt white colored hair currently. She has little princess purple colored eyes, which she still has it after the experiment. Chione has a silent behavior but tends to stay close with her older sister.

Personality: Before her current state among the surviving infected beings, she used to be normal like the rest... Peaceful yet quite tough at least, she was bullied a bit for her light purple colored eyes though, but thanks to her older sister, she managed to find herself the confidence to stand up for herself. Despite that, she used to be happy and safe...

The day of the abduction had nearly destroyed the lasting of her innocences... The screaming of the people, the blood that was spilled before them while being imprisoned, even her parents had died before her... Her older sister had to keep her safe... But her tears fell from her eyes as if hope will ever come.

Her fate till she became next... The aftermath of the experiment, she can hear her older sister's voice in saving her. The next minute she awoke herself, she escaped from her room to find her last sibling alive, after waking her up... The two infected sisters made a bloody escape to the woods... With the addition of her virus abilities that can turn her truly into a monster.

Thanks to meeting their master who had took them in, Chione had took an amount of training alongside with her older sister in hopes of controlling her infected form... Despite her personality in the past that have might slowed her older sister down a little, but she wanted to be strong in hopes of assistance.

The current Chione we are seeing is now a silent young female teenager but would prefer to keep a safe distance from anyone she meets due to her trauma back in the lab a few years, however she remains her normal composure of being friendly towards one another alongside with her older sister.

Despite her tough past and her current situation in the present, Chione wants to survive with her older sister and the rest of the infected beings as the best as she could. Many can tell that there a strong determination in her despite at worst moments... Aside from her silent behavior and keeping distance from anyone, she still keeps up with her socialism with her somewhat new school mates but she knows how to be mature and respectful. Aside from that, she can be a little childish if she wanted too, but not for long however.

Don't underestimate her of being little girl, she can fight with her older sister too. Despite her being a little sloppy in battle, she can keep her balance on with her skills as an infected being while attacking while her older sister who does the blood-shedding impacts on the high number of opponent, if we can count her uncontrollable virus form for destruction at the end... It be best not to ask her for further details about it.

An innocence of her remains has now died down beneath it... But she still is sane till this very day.

-The name 'Chione' is girl's name meaning "snow". In Greek mythology. While her surname 'Frostine' is girl's name of French origin meaning "freezing".

-She's based on 'Mumu' from the game 'Bloody Bunny, First Blood' and Series 'Don't be my enemy'.

-Stays really close with her older sister Ember, after all they have each other left after what they have been through... Will always back to her after a minute of separation in dangerous situations.

-It appears that she likes to eat her older sister's cooking or baking, which is why the cinnamon roll dessert was in fact her favorite.

By the current present, she became a wanted target with her older sister in hopes of avenges the mass losses of humanity.

-Knows how to make hair ribbons by hand, but mostly on black or white ribbons though.

-Mostly a tomboy than a cute girl. Chione doesn't like skirts and other pastel colors.

-Holds a necklass from her deceased parents as a remembrance after their passing, will never lose it just like her Ember does with her neckless.

Super late but I can answer this now without having to speculate, lol!

That is their baby, they have a son named Izumi in this AU. As to what sort of father Kurama is, he is as proud and haughty as we've always seen him be. Unable to express his affection well but he does praise Izumi and say how proud he is of him. Is ridiculously competitive with his own son over everything MC and her time/affection, but also spends much of his day training Izumi to fight. It can come across as a strict taskmaster, but in truth he's protective and quietly he worries about how their son will find his way in the world, that he seems too human for the ayakashi one and too ayakashi for the human one - and it's obvious he sees a lot of Yoshitsune in the way he believes Izumi will struggle to fit in. He tries his best to ensure Izumi will be strong, not just in mind and body but in spirit, so that he can weather the difficulties of his life and be confident of the path he chooses.

Izumi looks exactly like Kurama on the outside, but Kurama says that when he looks at Izumi he sees MC - their souls are exactly alike, and it's clear he doesn't think that's a bad thing at all.

Wandering Son (Hourou Musuko) by Takako Shimura 🐱

Trans rep: 10/10*

General enjoyment: 9/10

Age rating: 10+

The essential trans comic, Wandering Son generally represents most of what someone would want from a comic about trans people. It has both transfem and transmasc representation (though a transfem mc). It has interesting adult trans role models. It has a realistic representation of the trans experience, which, although set in Japan, is definitely representative of the universal struggle to be appreciated, accepted, and supported in one’s trans identity. Despite being probably one of the best trans comic currently available, it is lacking in some respects. Particularly, many criticize the comic for the lack of a good ending for the transmasc character Yoshino Takatsuki, which leaves many readers disappointed and frustrated.

Despite some frustration with the novel, I cannot deny the lasting effect it has had on me as a person. The comic helped me early on in my experience to understand what I was feeling, starting me off on my journey to understand and come to terms with my gender identity. I strongly recommend this comic! Also worth noting that there is a show that was made, which does a fantastic job telling the story (albeit only a portion of the larger manga).

*I'm giving this a 10/10 because it's just so incredibly powerful as one of the only Japanese comics of its kind, but I want to still acknowledge its shitty transmasc rep in the latter half of the comic. Maybe I'm just a bit biased because this is the comic that officially cracked my egg 🐱.

“Damn, I’m really screwed now,” you muttered to yourself once you saw your whole new surroundings. Pure darkness enveloped you as multiple figures on what seemed to be arms surrounding you like a cage were present within your view as your enemy unleashed their domain expansion on you.

At this current moment in time, you were fighting an unregistered special grade curse that had managed to get inside a school called Satozakuro High. From what you gathered from your boyfriend Yuji and Nanami, this whole situation had started since the investigation of the murders back in Kinema Cinema, where the sole witness - Junpei Yoshino, a classmate of the three murder victims - managed to somehow converse with the same special grade curse that you were facing right now.

“Let me admit, the name of your domain expansion is sort of narcissistic, humble yourself would you?” you sarcastically asked, trying to figure out a way to get around this situation as you knew your soul was dangerously the line - there was no way you let something so disgusting try to transfigure it.

“For someone that’s going to die, you seem calm,” the curse stated to which before this happened, you learnt that it was named Mahito.

You had to keep calm. Ever since you became a jujutsu sorcerer, you hated when enemies would comment on your fears during battle, you hated when they would mock you for being fearful for even a second, you hated when they told you that they could hear your heart pounding in anticipation. You just purely hated that.

“Well, what do you want me to be? Fearful?” you then asked, tilting your head to the side as you rested your katana over your shoulders - only to let the tip touch the wall of the domain leaving you to realise that the wall was quite thin.

‘Maybe there is a way I can get out of this? Is my domain expansion more polished enough to overcome this one?’ you thought to yourself, before wondering about what could be happening on the outside of the same wall right now.

Outside the domain, Itadori was helplessly on the other side punching the wall with all of his might as he was worried about what was happening to his girlfriend on the inside.

“Don’t fuck with me!” Itadori screamed as he continued to punch the wall with his cursed energy-infused fists, desperately trying to gain some damage to the wall to no avail.

‘Why was Y/N the only one imprisoned?’ he asked himself as if he was going to get an answer back - that was if Sukuna was willing to answer his question. However, the King of Curses didn’t have a single answer himself. To say he was worried about you was an underplaying statement yet so out of character for him.

Ever since the Sukuna was introduced to you by his vessel himself, he couldn’t help but become intrigued with you like he was with Fushiguro. He wanted to know more, more and more. From all his knowledge about past sorcerers and clans, you were an exception to his vast understanding of the jujutsu world. An exception that he wanted to protect.

You weren’t from a clan or related to one in the slightest, yet you had the capability to have inherited a technique that any powerful family would desire to have for themselves or for their offspring. You were a master weapons specialist - just like 2nd year Maki Zenin - only the major difference between both of you was the fact that you could manifest and construct those cursed weapons from only using your curse energy.

This fact surprised Sukuna himself when he was fighting you and Fushiguro back at the Eishu Juvenile Detention Centre. Vividly he remembers holding you up by the throat against a wall, only for you suddenly swiftly swing your arm with a small but sharp military knife in hand surprising him completely on how you were able to gain another weapon without him knowing, only to find out seconds later that you had constructed the weapon with nothing but your curse energy once he moved out the way, escaping with a just small graze on his cheek.

“So you’re able to create cursed weapons ha?” Sukuna asked as he placed his hand on his chin like he was thinking before staring at the blade that was in your hand. Continuing to stare that the weapon, the King of curses slowly began to realise that the weapon you had created was classed as a special grade tool, causing him to wonder what power you possessed to even have the ability to create something so small yet so powerful.

“How in the world did you do that?” Sukuna muttered to himself, before quickly dodging your attack as you tried to assault him with another blade that you quickly manifested in your other hand, surprising the special grade curse even more on how quickly you were able to create more weapons even after just constructing the miniature knife seconds before.

“Sorry Sukuna, but I don’t like talking during battle and I also need to get my boyfriend back real quick,” you commented before you used your cursed energy to cause your military knife to disappear, only to quickly construct your classic black katana to try to close the distance between the both of you only to fail once again.

Still looking at your surroundings, you were worried about the amount of time you had left until you were finished. The mental confrontation that was going on in your head was straining as you weren’t sure if your only plan was the best for the situation that you were in. There was a high chance that it could fail but the small percent of success was what was bother you to the max

‘It’s my only way to get out of this situation right now, if it doesn’t work then at least I tried’ you thought, before stabbing your black katana on the ground in front of you to which then you slowly started to pour your curse energy into the blade

“Ha? What are you planning to do? You’re already dead, so might as well accept your fate,” Mahito playful teased you, as he tried to break your stern composure.

However, before you could even complete your words, you unexpectedly heard a sound of a loud crack emitting behind you causing you to completely snap out of your concentration leading to the blue aura around your sword to slowly disappear.

Before you could even turn a single inch of your head around, you suddenly felt something brush your hair aside before a warm compress was placed on the back of your neck leading you to let out a shaky breath out of fear until you felt a sense of safety enclosing around you. The feeling of his nails gently grazing your skin caused you to shiver before he lightly squeezed your neck in reassurance, trying to convey to you that he wasn’t going to hurt you.

“I had it under control, Sukuna,” you muttered quietly before he tenderly pulled you back and had you turned around to face over his shoulder leading you to see the large crack that was created behind you that allowed Sukuna to enter into the domain.

“I know, I just didn’t want to see you hurt,” Sukuna replied to which then your suddenly heard what seemed to be something being slashed, prompting you the want to turn over only for Sukuna to tighten his hold on your neck - but not to the point where you were in pain but rather him not wanting you to see what he had done.

As if he was trying to calm you down, you felt his thumb beginning to slide up and down, sometimes brushing against the bottom of your scalp leaving you to slowly begin to melt in his hold. “There was no way I was going to allow something like him to touch you,” the King of Curses said to you, leading you to feel nothing but a sense of security as you started to let your guard down causing you to lay your head on his shoulder.

Gripping onto his - well Itadori’s - school jacket, you took a deep breath in before letting a deep breath out as you calmed down your heart, not realising your heart was pounding in fear until now. You hated the fact that he could now feel the fear radiating from your body. You hated how he now knew how fearful you were for your life. You hated how it knew all of it.

“It’s okay,” Sukuna calmly stated, causing you to lift your head to face him only to see him stare at you back intensely with his glowing beautiful red eyes. “Nothing is going to hurt you, not in my sight,” he proudly said to you as if he was making a promise to you before giving your neck one last little squeeze to tell you that you were safe in his embrace.

Maybe it wasn’t so bad to let him know.

Kei noticed you were behaving oddly around him and also knew you were keeping something from him.

Then he overheard you talking to someone on the phone and saying "I don't feel like I'm good enough for him. He's incredible in every way possible; a great singer, a flawless dancer, a talented actor, sexy, well-built, rich...and on top of that, a well-known celebrity. He should be dating someone just as amazing as him..."

The corners of his lips turned down as Kei curled his fists. He was angry at you for saying such a negative thing about yourself. Wasn't good enough? Do you know what you mean to him?

He walked into the room and wrapped his arms tightly around you from behind, "Not good enough? Is that what you think?"

His voice was heavy and drawn, "You are right, I could date anyone I want. Even if I had a chance to date someone else, I would still choose you. Stop being so hard on yourself...I love you just the way you are."

Sotetsu saw you struggling to walk in high heels and heard you mumbling about how uncomfortable it is.

"Then why are you wearing them?" He chuckled.

"I'm short, and I hate being short..."

He would've brushed your words as whining had it not been for the tears in your eyes.

"You are insecure about your height? Why? I like you being short...it makes you a whole lot cuter, especially when you are around me."

"You're just saying that..."

"I am not," he laughed, "but you want to know the best part about you being short?"

Sotetsu lifted you by the waist and held you above him, ignoring your squeals and protests to put you down. "I have fun picking you up and carrying you around."

Ginsei stared at you in shock when he heard you complaining about your nose. "Why don't you like your nose? I don't see anything wrong with it."

"It's not cute enough..."

"Did someone say something to you? If they did, then please ignore their words. Your nose is great as it is. I know I don't have the right to say this since I've my share of insecurities as well, but believe me when I saw you are beautiful."

Ginsei smiled and pinched your nose between his thumb and index finger.

"You...think your fingers are chubby?" Gui mumbled as he pondered over your words. "You don't like them?"

"No, my fingers look unattractive, so..."

He stared at your arms in confusion, "I don't see anything wrong with them."

"Gui, men like a woman with skinny fingers an-"

He interrupted you while shaking his head, "That's not true...I don't see anything wrong with your fingers."

"But, Gui..."

"I like you. The size of your fingers doesn't matter to me..."

Yoshino noticed that you were only wearing open skirts and wondered why. When you told him you thought your thighs were too big, he was at a loss.

"But, (y/n), I l-like your thighs. You look good in everything you wear."

"You're just saying that to make me feel better." You didn't believe his words, but Yoshino was determined to make you see the truth.

"I really like to rest my head on your l-lap...your thighs are comfortable, a-and I like to stroke them," he smiled and took hold of your hands. "Please believe me. You are perfect the way you are!"

"Why have you been acting weird the past few days?" Kokuyou asked as he took a seat next to you and pulled out his cigarettes.

"Have I been acting weird?" You asked innocently.

He stared at you before roughly saying, "Drop the act and answer my question."

Averting your eyes, you told him the truth in a quiet voice. "Why do you like me, Kokuyou? I'm not pretty enough to be with someone like you."

He furrowed his eyebrows and growled, "What the hell is that supposed to mean? Is there a meter somewhere that measures the beauty levels of a woman? Did someone say something to you? Tell me who."

You could sense an air of hostility about him, "N-No...I just t-think..."

"I don't care what you think about this. Stop criticizing yourself and stop listening to dumbasses." Kokuyou grew quiet for a second and exhaled loudly, "If I didn't like you, I wouldn't be with you. You...are beautiful."

Akira stopped walking and looked at you blankly. "You..what?"

"I don't like the size of my butt," you mumbled under your breath, not wanting the people nearby to hear.

"Cutie, I don't know why you don't like it, but if you're followin' some weird trend or listening to other people, then stop," Akira said while ruffling your hair.

"But look at it..."

"I am looking at it and don't see anything wrong with it. Listen, the size of your butt doesn't matter...besides, small butts look cute, and big butts are smackable," he laughed.

"Are you alright?" Sin questioned as he took a seat next to you in the office.

You debated whether or not to tell him the thought on your mind and eventually decided to come clean. "No..."

"Why?"

"I...I see these women with perfect legs and no cellulite...it's so unfair. I can't wear shorts, skirts, or dresses without worrying about the cellulite showing," you muttered with your head lowered.

"There is no point worrying about such trivial matters. It's a way of life, and if someone dislikes you simply for your cellulite, the person does not deserve your attention."

"And you...what you do you think about it?"

Sin chuckled, "I think you are worrying too much. You are beautiful just the way you are."

Taiga noticed you staring in the mirror and touching various parts of your face with a frown. He walked in curiously and asked what you were doing.

"N-Nothing...I..."

"That didn't look like nothing," he said, rubbing the back of his head. "You don't look okay either."

"Why do I look like this? Why...can't I look a little cuter? I mean look at those women that look like flawless dolls."

"You..want to look like a doll? Why?" Taiga was stunned by your reply, "H-Hey, you're telling a gamer you want to look like a doll...have you ever played a horror game? Dolls are the last things any gamer wants to see. Man, I'm terrified of dolls..."

His unexpected response made you laugh and seeing your mood change, Taiga smiled. "I like this you."

When Takami heard that you were insecure about your skin color, he was speechless. "Why...?"

You didn't reply to him; instead, you lowered your eyes and fought back your tears.

"I...I can see why. The media, society, people spouting nonsense...," he gave a small smile and cupped your cheeks, "(y/n), all skin colors are beautiful. The color of skin doesn't determine how beautiful you are nor does it say anything about your skills, intelligence, background..."

"But..."

"Listen, your skin color makes you unique. I mean imagine a world where all of us had the same skin color, same eyes, nose, and mouth. Frankly, that sounds like something straight out of a horror movie."

His words made you giggle. Takami wiped your tears and added, "I love your skin as it is. You are perfect as you are, and I hope you can see that too."

"Rindou, what do you think about my lips?"

"Why do you ask?" He was surprised to hear such an arbitrary question.

"I...hate my lips. Women with plump lips are so lucky."

Rindou cupped your cheeks and looked into your eyes, "Your lips are cute and give you a delicate, feminine look. Women don't need plump lips to look pretty. Don't think less of yourself I like your lips as they are."

"You...don't like your glasses?" Sinju asked, tilting his head to one side. "Why though?"

"I...just don't like them," you said not wanting to give him a full-fledged explanation.

"But your glasses make you look a hundred times cuter," Sinju flashed you a radiant smile. "Are...you worried about getting categorized as a dork, nerd, geek, and all that?"

You didn't give him a reply, but Sinju continued, "You know people nowadays wear glasses as a fashion statement. Doesn't that mean glasses are fashionable?"

Maica stared at your feet silently for a while before looking back at your face. "Your point is?"

"My feet are so big...it bothers me and -"

He interrupted you with a raised eyebrow, "The size of your foot doesn't matter. Some people have small feet, others have large feet. If anyone points out the size of your foot, know that they're insecure about their appearance and are trying to feel better about themselves by pointing out "flaws" in other people."

Maica brushed your cheek with the back of his fingers, “I could care less about you. I love you for who you are, not your shoe size.”

"You have not been eating properly."

You looked at Menou confused, not knowing if he was stating the fact or questioning you.

"Why? Are you not feeling well?"

"I...want to lose weight. My stomach is chubby, and I don't like it."

"Why not?" Menou stifling a yawn and stretched his arms, "I like your chubby stomach. It makes a good pillow...actually, I like sleeping on your stomach more than on a pillow."

"Hair color? What issue do you have with your hair color?"

Yakou was at a loss and couldn't understand what your hair color had to do with your beauty.

"Great...is social media trying to play with your mind? Don't listen to those people," he sighed and cupped your cheeks. "I like your hair color, and it has nothing to do with you as a person or your beauty. Hair color is determined by a pigment called melanin...and people who think otherwise are too stupid to understand."

Seeing you hesitate, Yakou stroked your cheek and whispered, "If you are still uncomfortable with your hair color, then I can help you dye your hair. Though, I would prefer you didn't."

Mokuren poked your upper arm and shrugged. "I don't see anything wrong with your arm."

"It's so flabby though...," you complained.

Team C's leader gave you a puzzled look, "The size of your arms doesn't decide who you are or how beautiful you look. Don't be insecure about such a trivial thing. You need to tell yourself daily that you're beautiful."

Mokuren pressed a kiss on the back of your hand, "Princess, you truly are breathtaking...every part of you is beautiful."

"Dear, is there a reason why you're wearing a heavy layer of foundation? Did something happen?"

You were taken aback by Qu's question, but you should've expected this; being a makeup lover, he would notice right away.

"I...I wanted to hide my freckles," you admitted, sounding a bit embarrassed, "I...don't l-like them."

"Why?" Qu couldn't believe his ears. "Your freckles are cute, and they remind me of stars."

He stepped in front of you and delicately touched your cheeks, "People wish to touch stars, but I am one of the lucky few who can touch them right here."

Kasumi frowned slightly, "Why don't you like your waistline?"

"It's not perfect."

"Please don't be so conscious about your waistline; otherwise, who is going to share donuts with me?"

His comment made you chuckle, "Kasumi..."

He smiled widely and pinched your cheek, "If you still don't feel comfortable with your waistline, then I can help you exercise. So let's eat some donuts, then go exercise, and then eat donuts, and exercise again."

Hari noticed you tugging at your jacket sleeves again and couldn't resist the urge to ask, "Is something the matter?"

"N-Nothing..."

Even though you tried to brush off his concerns, he studied you for a moment and asked, "Are you insecure about the hair on your body?"

You darted your eyes towards him in shock, wondering how he figured it out.

"Did someone say something to you? If so, that person or people need to return to school and pay more attention in their biology class," he frowned, "Every person had hair follicles, so it's natural for hair to grow on their body. It's nothing to be insecure about."

"What does that even mean?" Zakuro chuckled.

"My eyes are not big enough!" You repeated your words and pouted.

"Oya Oya, why would you waste your precious time thinking about that? Women really do worry about the smallest things."

He tilted your chin and looked deep into your eyes, "Your eyes are alluring. When you smile, they sparkle like the stars; when you're sad, they look like glass beads. Your eyes are one of your most attractive features."

You and Mizuki were sitting in the Starless staff room when you asked out of the blue, "Mizuki, do you think my shoulders are broad?"

"Why would ya care about somethin' like that? No, I don't see anythin' wrong with 'em," he mumbled and waited for you to explain the reason behind your question.

"I...think my shoulders are too broad..."

"Baka!" He yelled close your ear, making you wince. "You look good as you are, and if anyone says you don't, then I will kick 'em for ya."

Kongou walked into the locker room and stopped in his tracks when he saw you examining your hips in the mirror. "(Y/N)?"

"O-Oh, Kongou...h-hi," you forced a smile.

"What's wrong? You look upset."

Your lips drew into a straight line as you explained your hatred for your large hips.

"But I like your hips," he smiled, "the way they move when you walk, the curvy shape when you wear jeans...it's really attractive."

A light red spread across his cheeks, "I also like the way they feel when you're close to me."

Ran looked at you blankly, not understanding why you were complaining about your height. "What's wrong with being tall?"

"I tower over everyone...and I feel like a giant," you exhaled loudly.

"But women wear heels or get surgery to look tall, so shouldn't you be happy that you're naturally tall? Besides, I like ya being tall, and I really like your long legs!" He exclaimed with a wide grin.

Heath was going through your photos when he took note of something. “(Y/N), why do you always make the same double peace sign pose?"

"That way my jawline has a V-shape. I wish I naturally had a V-shape jawline...I would look more feminine and cuter."

Heath glanced at you confused. "I don't understand why you would say that. All jawlines are beautiful in their own way. Also, a person's jawline doesn't determine how beautiful they look."

His words caught you by surprise and all you could do was wordlessly stare at him.

"Don't listen to what society, media, or people say. I think your jawline is great, and you're very pretty."

Rico was irritated by your words and wanted to give you an earful but chose to only say, "Who cares about that? But if you're insecure about the size of your breast then wear a bra according. After all, aren't there all types of bras that can either make breasts look bigger or slightly smaller?"

"But Rico..."

"Stop worrying about these useless things. If any girl tells you you're too small or too big, then just tell them to mind their own business," he paused for a moment and frowned. "And if any guy says that to you, then tell me. I will teach him a lesson for staring at your chest."

Unei saw you staring in the mirror, covering your cheeks, and sighing heavily. He asked you what was wrong and why you looked so upset.

"I...I don't like my chubby face."

Unei blinked rapidly, then burrowed his brows in confusion. "Why would you say that? I...like your face."

"You do?"

Unei smiled sweetly and nodded, "You look cute with chubby cheeks, and I...like pinching your cheeks. So, please don't criticize your c-cute face."

just wondering but what's Yoshino's personality like? She sounds like a great woman from the way you speak of her :)

Great is an understatement, if you ask me. She is the BEST WOMAN TO COME OUT OF CYBIRD!!! Of course, this is not a biased statement by any means. You can ask any players who have played genjiden, they all have only nice things to say about her! If anyone says, they hate her.................................................well, they have bad taste in women. That's all I can say!

My Yoshino is the definition of cute! You can google the definition of cute and the very sentence describes Yoshino. From her design to her personality, all screams cuteness!! Ikemen MCs are like a symbol of purity and kindness and I think out of all the MCs (excluding Kate for now) Yoshino fits that perfectly! She is very kind, considerate of others, adaptable, and very brave indeed. I'm not exaggerating this. As a doctor, she will treat anyone she can! Even including a demon. You can argue that it's because she is a doctor and all doctors would treat a wounded person regardless of whether they are friends or enemies. That could be true, but Yoshino's goal in life is also to open her own pharmacy and help anyone she can as long as she is alive. She doesn't do her job half-heartedly and treats everyone's injuries carefully as if she really wants her patients to be healthy. She also doesn't think she is too great of a doctor, because she also wants to study. If she finds any books on medicines, she will be sitting down and studying them for the whole night to the point that male leads have to carry her to bed. All male leads love watching her work because it heals their heart, but they would also have to make sure that she doesn't overwork because, yes! Yoshino is kind of a workaholic. I'll come to this matter later!

Now her being considerate. She doesn't care if the person standing in front of her is an enemy or a demon. Her kind heart will be still praying for their safety first. This can be clearly seen in some scenes, for example, in Yoshitsune's chap 1 and 2, Yoshino finds a fatally injured enemy soldier inside a hut where she took refuge from the ongoing war. Despite knowing that he's an enemy, she still decides to treat his injuries. She went out to get some water for her treatment but unfortunately confronts Yoshitsune on the battlefield. Yoshitsune of course was about to slice her head off, and Yoshino, after knowing that she is about to die and there is no one to rescue her, the first thing she recalls is the injured enemy soldier who is waiting for her in the hut. She immediately stops Yoshitsune from killing her saying that she's in the middle of her treatment and he can't kill her until she finishes it. This is just one example. No matter which situation she is in, the first thing she asks about is if her friends are safe or not.

Yoshino is very brave and adaptable. As long as she understands that the enemy in front of her has no intention of killing her, she will not be scared and will talk to him normally. The best example of this is Kurama's route. As you all know, Kurama has a unique personality. Yes, he glares and threatens everyone all the time, but he doesn't find weak people interesting. In his Chap 1, Kurama doesn't kill Yoshino despite her being an enemy because she's weak (physically). When Yoshino learned this, she started being less wary of Kurama and soon started understanding his personality. Kurama too finds it fascinating, how she bravely, talks her thoughts to him, eye-to-eye, without trembling. After she's taken hostage, she looked Yoshitsune and the others in the eye despite being a tad bit nervous. Yoshitsune and the others immediately like that about her because in this way she conveys that she doesn't have hatred towards Yoshitsune and his friends. She later even helped one of their citizens, which led to all of them giving her a party.

Yoshino is also brave or sometimes even more than the male lead in some cases. She will go to any lengths to save her loved ones. Like in Kagetoki's route, there is literally a scene where she shoves a knife at Akihito's throat and shows that she is actually ready to kill him. But this was just her plan to lure out Yasuchika, so he could stop Akihito from killing Kagetoki because she knows that Akihito is Yasuchika's weakness. Another scene from Kagetoki's route, which is my personal favorite, is when Kagetoki was suspected of being a spy of the Imperial Court. When everyone was blaming Kagetoki, Yoshino stepped in to prove his innocence by doing the investigation herself and bringing in actual proof. The beauty of this scene is that no one asked her to, not even Kagetoki. She did it all on her own. Even Kagetoki was shocked that she would be this brave to do something outside her comfort zone. There is also this scene in Yoichi's route where she fights a demon with a little bit of encouragement from Yoichi. There are scenes like this in almost every route.

Now coming to my favorite part. Yoshino is super seductive. It's not she wears revealing clothes to excite the male leads and get's all touchy, but instead when the male leads talk to her, they are all so smitten because she's so honest! It's not like she's trying to woo someone. Whatever she says and whatever reactions give, all are so honest. When she wants to understand someone, she openly asks and when she's bullied by the male leads, she blushes so much. Yes! Yoshino is a masochist. She really enjoys it when the male leads are a little 'mean' towards her. I'm not joking! She actually said it herself. Also, she has her own pick-up lines to excite the male leads. Here are some of my favorite pick-up lines:

Yoshino to Yoritomo: "I know, Yoritomo-sama is a man who doesn't show his weakness to anyone. But at least when we are together, I want you to be yourself."

Yoshino to Kagetoki: "Okay, Ibuki. I'll be your woman if Kagetoki-san loses the chess match....so let's see Kagetoki-san, if you can actually win this or not."

Yoshino to Shigehira: "Whenever you want me, I'll always be there for you."

Yoshino to Morinaga: "I wonder if I can be like you. If Yoritomo-sama is the one who changes the whole world, Morinaga-san is the one who saves his people. But I also learned that it is very difficult to save someone, I learned that today. That's why I really admire you....from the bottom of my heart."

Yoshino to Yoshitsune: "Please...Yoshitsune-sama....please leave a mark on me."

Yoshino to Benkei: "Benkei, can I hug you one more time? I feel safe and happy when I hug you."

Yoshino to Yoichi: "Just so you know! No matter what happens, I'm not giving up on you!"

Yoshino to Kurama: "Whenever we're doing it, I always end up fainting. I was a little sad because I thought I wasn't satisfying you enough. But last night, I didn't faint at all! So I'm not sad anymore!

Yoshino to Sueharu: "When I'm with you, I get excited. Even more, than you think."

Yoshino to Yasuchika: "I'll choose this purple one because it's the same color as Yasuchika."

Yoshino to Akihito: "I'll protect you from all the darkness in the world."

Yoshino to Tamamo: "I will never abandon you no matter what!"

Yoshino to Ibuki: "I didn't feel scared Ibuki. When I saw your horns coming out of your shiny blond hair, I thought they looked really beautiful under the evening sun."

Now let me explain some of her flaws so that no one complains.

As I said, Yoshino is a workaholic. Due to this she never takes care of herself. There was a scene in one of Ibuki's stories, where she ACTUALLY faints in the middle of the road at night due to anemia. Even though the male leads keep asking her to rest, she will still be stubborn and will always keep working hard. They all know that she loves her job but they also have to make sure that she doesn't go overboard. So the best way they find to stop Yoshino from working is to distract her by hugging and kissing her and whispering affectionate words to her ears.

She can also be reckless. She is someone who tries to do everything on her own. The male leads are always like "RELY ON ME!! I'LL PROTECT YOU!!" but this line goes above her head because she still becomes reckless no matter how many times the male leads begs her to not be reckless. ブラックスター -Theater Starless

A basic rundown of the game~

For @redheadkittys and @lxvescramble and anyone else who is curious to know more!!

✦ ✧Plot/Teams✦ ✧

A general summary of the plot is that this show theater was rundown and about to close, the owners vanished and the boys were left waiting since without owners they had no permission to operate.

You can actually listen to the very first part of the story on the official youtube, and it has English Subtitles! This will give you some insight into the story and the characters' personalities!

As the MC you’re brought to the restaurant at Kei’s request, and he tells you he took over Starless for you. Which is kind of confusing because you don’t really know him.

The show theater brings in tons of female customers who love to watch the boys perform. And you are Starless’ “Special Customer.” The boys perform but also work as hosts and bartenders in the restaurant.

There are Four groups at Starless, and they all compete to be the best of the best. Team K, Team W, Team P, and Team B.

Each team has a “Top” or Leader. You can see them in the image above; Kei, Kokuyou, Rindou, Mizuki

Team W was the first team at Starless and Kokuyou its first member. He was really loyal to the owners who vanished and so he often butts heads with Kei. Team P was the second group at Starless and it’s leader Rindou used to be an idol.

Team K was formed when Kei took over Starless, he’s got a real Oresama attitude with everyone but he’s suuuper soft with MC and doesn’t like people touching you or getting violent around you. Team B is the most recently formed, and it’s leader Mizuki used to be a part of Team P. But he hates Rindou and he hated the music. Lico has been mere staff at Starless and challenged Yoshino for his spot on team K but he lost to Yoshino, so he joined Mizuki with the new characters to form Team B at Kei’s approval.

Team W=Hard Rock

Team P=Pop/Dance/Club Music

Team K=Glam Rock

Team B=Rap/Hip Hop

Some of the team members hate each other, some are good friends, but they are all striving to be at The Top and be the best performer they can be, for varying reasons.

✦ ✧Gameplay✦ ✧

This is a gacha and rhythm game. Draw cards and level up those cards to unlock stories with those characters. Play songs and reach point goals to unlock story chapters. Build up your teams and train them on songs to strengthen their scores.

When you play songs, different cards have different skills, these are auto-activated as you hit the notes perfectly and your gauge fills up (i.e. boosting your points for 8 seconds or wiping notes off the board for easier play).

You get 5 Live Show tickets and those are to play the songs or event songs, they refill 1 every 20 minutes. You can go over 5 when you win tickets by leveling up in practice etc. During events you can use two tickets at once to double your event points.

Playing songs will also drop items you can use for leveling up your cards! Some cards have special attributes so they’ll need special items, most of these can be gained by trading in duplicate cards.
