Anxiety
My poem
won’t do
what I
want it to.
I chew my
pen, my
nails, my
lip
and resort
to the key-
board.
No change.
Words seem
to have
lives
of their own.
They’re off
to have
adventures,
without me,
they don’t
care
about
poetry.
Yet,
they’ve
guided me
here,
to a
wordingfount,
where poems
are found.

I have now watched the Rogue Trader christmas special with some of the voice actors and it was hilarious. I decided to once again put my very rudimentary editing skills to the test and have picked out my favourite Marzipan lines for you. Enjoy!
Do keep in mind though that these are not polished game lines of course, this was a table top game. I do recommend you go watch the full stream yourself, it is very good from everyone.

okay not to come of as a hater for a second but i'm thinking about this again and kind of want to get the thought out...
is it just me or is the way people discuss pilots online a little... odd? don't get me wrong, it's honestly really cool to see people get so hyped up and invested in something based on the pilot alone, but from how some people discuss them it belies a bit of a misunderstand of what a pilot is supposed to be and do.
a pilot is a proof of concept for something, not the finished product. this is most evident with pilots produced the traditional route, where the final series may be wildly different from the initial pitch (the first one that comes to mind is the gravity falls pilot, although it's still pretty similar to what we did end up getting).
so it's... i'm a little concerned for the inevitable fallout when a popular pilot becomes a series that's different from it's initial pitch, i suppose

Not reblogging because I don't want to derail their posts, but Kitkat's and Burgers' discussion of clothing in RWBY makes me really want to see Edna Mode: Remnant Edition. I want to see how unique fashion can be created using materials designed to actually withstand abuse and work with the Semblances/fighting styles of the user ala The Incredibles so bad. Add in the devastatingly-underutilized concepts of "all of our tools and equipment are conduits for Aura" (which would include their uniforms/clothing) and "embedding Dust into clothing is an age-old technique", and a character's choice of fashion could be just as much about function as it is form and actually aid them in their fights.

started writing in between classes and im deeply obsessed with orpheus parallels with ortega/chargestep so have this. warning for ortega being inebriated and wanting to die.
Time to rise Orpheus. The day breaks and you with it.
(I don’t want to. Don’t make me.)
That’s not an option. Get up Orpheus.
(I have no legs. I have no hands.)
You will be repaired, doll of lyres.
(I don’t want to be. I want to lay here and die.)
Scio, sweetheart.
(Will I see her again?)
Only on her deathbed.
(I don’t think I can do this anymore.)
You will.
Get up Orpheus.
Get up Orpheus.
Get up-
“Ortega! Get down from there!”
Chen pulls you off the ledge of the building you guess you were climbing over. You're not really sure.
You’re downstairs now. Your arm is over Chen’s shoulders.
“-tega! What did you drink? Can you even hear me?”
You’re nauseous.
You’re not nauseous anymore.
“Ok that’s. That can be someone else’s problem, come on.”
He lifts you once more. He’s good at that. He does is a lot when you fuck up or do something stupid which is always cause you’re a poor excuse for man.
You snuggle into the passenger seat of his car. It’s cozy, it smells like him. You don’t smell good.
“Drink this.” He says. He tips your head back and water pours into your mouth.
You do your level best to not choke.
You’re on the wrong side of your couch. This is Eurydice’s spot, not your’s.
Sidestep. Sidestep’s spot.
You shake your head, the smallest bit of clarity returning to your vision and mind. Chen has pulled a chair from the kitchen to sit in front of you. His expression swims but you think he’s concerned. Not a clue why.
“So. ‘Never gonna drink again?’” You spit onto the carpet and he grimaces.
“Don’t know what you expect from someone like me. When’s my word ever meant shit?” You wonder if you could get him to punch you.
“You- I’m not entertaining this. You need to get your shit together.” He doesn’t say ‘before you end up dead’, but you hear it anyway. Or maybe that’s you saying it.
You let your head tip back over the couch. He wants you to try. You don’t know how.
Yes you do. Rise from your corner.
But you’re already so far gone.
Then go all the way. Pursual when you cannot see your target is what you do best. Find them.
They’re not dead.
No.
They’re dead.
Not to you.
I already failed them.
Then fail again.
Isn’t the definition of madness trying the same thing over and over expecting a different outcome?
No, that’s a misconception. And anyways, when has that ever stopped you before?
Fair.
Now tell him something so he doesn’t send you to a madhouse.
You look back at Chen. His clenched teeth twist his scars on his lips and his hands are clasped together so tight you swear you hear the creak of metal. You slump forward, uncoordinated, and put one of your hands on his.
“I’ll tell my… therapist,” the word is still a rock in your mouth, “about. This.” You’re not sure if you mean the drinking or the climbing.
That’s not true.
Yeah well fuck you I’m not getting sent to a madhouse. I’m not crazy.
Then what’s this?
“That’s good.” Chen breathes out in a long relieved sigh. “That’s good.”
You tug him off the chair and into a hug. You know he can feel your heartbeat through your shirt, and you know he needs that.
Out of his view you stare daggers into the wall. You’re determined (for now). You have to find them again.
Miles to walk Orpheus.
And promises to keep.
And promises to keep.

Hey WHAT if I made your turtles [shiny emoji] slightly more scientifically accurate [shiny emoji]?
I'll start with the Disaster Twins.
Alright, so Leo is a red-eared slider turtle. At first I was skeptical about his blue shell and horizontal marks, but then with some research, I found red-eared sliders aren't always just the most gorgeous green - I found this lil blue gal in the pic! - AND their stripes CAN have some wiggles that make horizontal lines (first pic tart has one on its shoulder). So I didn't have to change those!
I did give him some actual stripes and plastron marks (there is no red-eared slider without those, plus they can be blue too so it suits him) though.
And a long thin tail because I'm okay with Trans Leo (male slider have short thick tails like in pic 2)
It was hard to figure out which type of spiny softshell Donnie was at first, but I was being dumb. It's obviously the Northern.
I started this whole project to fix Leo and Donnie's markings and DANG IT THEY'RE NOT INACCURATE- Spiny softshell turtles can have purple marks just fine (I'm pissed) so I let him keep his cool tech markings and just fixed his plastron. Picture one is a softshell's plastron, in case you hadn't realized. I know I took a while.
And!! Spiny softshell turtles have U-shaped nostrils. That's very important.
The hands and feet I gave Donnie are a little different from all the others' because so are spiny softshell turtles'.
But I think it'd be comical if the guys still couldn't tell the difference between the twins without their color coDING
OH, YOU MUST HAVE NOTICED LEO'S PERFECTLY FINE AND RAPH DOESN'T HAVE A HOLE IN HIS SHELL! That's because those are gonna be all in that time gap between the end of S2 and the movie.
If you WANt scientifically accurate post-movie wounds though.... Here's Leo's.
