DmC slander below the cut

I’m almost done with DmC, the uncanny valley video game au. I don’t like the characters, I don’t like the plot, I don’t like the setting, I don’t like the changes they made. I don’t know who this ‘Dante’ is, I’m sick of seeing orgies just to really rub it in that he is a hedonist who’s all about women, I wanna shove vergils fedora down his throat, and I’m staring at Kat in confusion

‘Dante’ has no charisma, no appeal, I don’t know who this guy is and I’d stay 10 ft away from him. He is like they took parts of dmc3 Dante and Nero and put them into one character to make the most Guy guy to have ever said Fuck. I think they actually tried to revive the good parts of this ‘Dante’ with dmc5 Nero. Like some of his moves are similar

Mundus and sparda are just the most unappealing mobster enemies while sparda for some reason looks like bob from accounting

The misogyny is absolutely off the charts. If the mainline game series is sexy yet silly with euphemisms and word play, then DmC is one elaborate tasteless rape joke that makes me inhale thru my teeth. Every time I think they are about to do something with depth and purpose it’s then shot down and stomped on. This story isn’t so bad that it’s good it’s just bad. It’s like someone wrote a fan fic on their morning commute (I say as someone who writes fic during their commute) except they didn’t keep it in the google docs

HOWEVER. However. Man is limbo fun and pretty. Like LETS GOOO or whatever streamers say. Boom boom hack hack yippeeee
