HA! The super bowl did NOT air an ad about Pat Tillman, they did NOT. Omfg. The ad is about how he left a pro football career to join the military and was killed in the line of duty, but now the foundation bearing his name is giving back to other patriotic football players.
He sure WAS killed in action! Pat Tillman joined after 9/11 after being swept up in propaganda l, but during his time in Iraq became a vocal anti-war proponent. Pat Tillman was then murdered by fellow squadmates for his stances, his murder was covered up, and he’s been used as a recruiting tool since.
Initially it was reported he was killed by enemy fire in a fight. Then it came out he was killed by friendly fire. THEN it was revealed he was shot 3 times in the back of the head at close range.
American military propaganda machine knows absolutely no bounds.

Yemen didn’t kill a single person when they were taking over those ships and rerouting them out of the Red Sea.
America killed an entire crew of Yemenis in the water today.
Muslims have always done everything possible to avoid unnecessary killing while America tries to kill as many people as possible and still labels the Muslims as the terrorists. [@/ Laddin_ on X. 12/31/23]

MASSIVE PROTESTS IN YEMEN IN DEFIANCE OF U.S.-LED COALITION STRIKES
📹 Video showing the massive rallies and protests being held in Sa'da, Yemen, after U.S.-led coalition forces launched several drone and missile strikes targeting "military" sites belonging to the Armed Forces of Yemen.
Protests have spread throughout the country in defiance of the U.S. coalition and in solidarity with Palestinians under bombardment and siege in the Gaza Strip.

One of the insane things I've learned due to bingeing political and news media is why the US has such a high military budget.
Like, don't get me wrong, I still disagree with it, I hate the military industrial complex, I do not THINK we should be doing this...
But finding out that a number of countries have more or less officially contracted their emergency military responses to the US does make more sense. We aren't just the US's army, we're functionally the reserves for all of NATO. Europe gives us good trade deals in exchange for being able to borrow our gun guys.
Again, I don't AGREE with this. I'm just much less confused about the WHY now.
Unless I'm wrong about how the budget works, in which case, please explain using pie charts. I like pie charts.
EDIT: Also it's more than just Europe, some noteworthy others being Taiwan, Israel, South Korea, and Japan.

I am reposting this to take accountability for the egregious oversight I made on my previous post. I said "rest in peace and power," and I definitely did not intend to disrespect and de-historicize the meaning behind 'rest in power.' The Black Lives Matter movement uses this in remembrance of the Black people who have been killed by police violence and brutality, so my sincere apologies.
What Aaron is exposing and what he has done must be spoken about, especially since it concerns US complicity and violence, but definitely using appropriate words and context. Thank you to the person who pointed/called it out. I hope Aaron is resting in peace.
