The Oscars.

Ahh, The Oscars. It's the most magical night, unless you're Hugh Grant, and the awards season done and dusted for another year. The gowns are back in wardrobes, the suits back with their tailors, and the little shiny golden man trophies away in cabinets, stored away to gather dust. But it was a rather special way to go out with one of the most diverse #oscars in recent memory—particularly for Asian and Asian American representation. And it was, of course, a very big night for Everything Everywhere All at Once with a *massive* motherflippin seven awards, including best actress for the mighty Michelle Yeoh. She becomes only the second woman of color to win the award after Halle Berry back in 2002. “For all the little boys and girls who look like me watching tonight this is a beacon of hope and possibility,” she said, before adding: “Ladies, don’t ever let anyone tell you you are past your prime.” 

It was quite a night and a memorable #oscars that celebrated diversity, and not slapping people in the face onstage. Naturally, Tumblr paid its very own paid tribute with an array of shitposts, memes, and gifs in honor of award season's special night.
