Of it, Reader friend to show his approval of reader and saiki when he released his newest chapter in some of panel in the background there is this couple who is closely looks like reader and saiki or if there scene where there is desserts the most will stand out is a coffee jelly w Reader fav dessert and along with words of "coffee jelly and f/d are the finest together" (f/d = favorite dessert)

it seems as though he feels like they see him as a joke or as someone they can't look up to. like yes he's immature at times and a bit of an airhead but he means well. most of the time. but even still, he's a good big brother. i wish the devs touched on that side of him more, and i wish his brothers expressed their appreciation towards him in a way that isn't immediately followed by either a backhanded compliment or an outright insult

like yes, it's clear they love him and he loves them. but it's gotta be exhausting on both ends, especially if you're on the receiving end and constantly being (sometimes affectionately) shit on as someone who's already doubtful of their significance to their family and friends' lives

barbatos' ideal world revolving around diavolo is unsurprising, but also very telling of his character. he's so focused on everything and everyone around him, making sure space-time stays stable, that he doesn't have time to think about anything but that. not even when it pertains to himself and his happiness

barbatos' happiness revolves around fulfilling his duties as butler/subordinate, but also making sure he stays sane long enough to ensure that the instability and semi unpredictability of time itself doesn't prevent diavolo's wishes from coming true

Mikoto Kayano as a Character Design.🧵

This is just one of many parts of my comprehensive analysis of Mikoto Kayano.

Mikoto Kayano is what I would call a high-concept character. What does high-concept mean?

✦ High-concept works tend to be attention-grabbing and appeal to a broad audience, often because they can be easily understood and appreciated on a surface level.

✦ The idea behind the character design may be simple or generic on the surface, but upon closer examination, it reveals intricate details and nuances that add to its complexity and depth. This can make the character design stand out and be memorable to audiences, even if the character's appearance is initially unremarkable or conventional.

Examples of high-concept: (For the inexperienced)

✦ In terms of illustration, Composition (Golden Ratio, Rule of Thirds, etc.) is like a puzzle that the artist puts together, with each piece adding to the overall picture. The main focus is usually in the center of the image or off-center to create visual interest, and other elements are arranged around it in a way that enhances the story being told to reward the inquisitive.

✦ In video games, Platinum’s Hideki Kamiya (Bayonetta, Devil May Cry, etc.) is known for this exact concept. You can finish the game by just casually engaging with mechanics, but if you look deeper into the systems, you are able to execute flawless stylish moves that are very rewarding to execute.

Whenever designing characters, Japan tends to place a strong emphasis on the following:

✦ Name Symbolism - The names are usually a great clue to what a character is about. This includes potential wordplay.

✦ Blood Type - Determines the type of personality they have and their chemistry with the rest of the cast. Think of it as the equivalent of Zodiac signs.

✦Mikoto Kayano Name Breakdown

✦ Kanji - 【榧野尊】 ✦ Katakana - 【カヤノミコト】

✦ To get the definitions for the kanji used in this document, I used Goo and Jisho.

【榧】Kaya ✦ Japanese nutmeg tree (Torreya Nucifera) ✦ Flowers bloom around April, and elliptical fruits are produced in the following autumn. The fruit is used for edible oil and hair oil, as well as for food. The wood is hard and used for construction materials, furniture, Go and Shogi boards, and as a carving material.

✦ The flower language for Kaya is “effort”

✦ In Go, the concept of "building a house" refers to creating a territory on the board by enclosing a certain area with your stones. This can be seen as analogous to building a house, where you create a defined space for yourself to live in. The process of building a territory requires strategic thinking, and players must balance offensive and defensive moves to secure the most advantageous positions on the board.

✦ In Shogi, there is a similar concept called "castle." Where certain pieces are used to create a fortress-like structure around the king, making it difficult for the opponent to attack and capture it.

‼️ I feel like anyone with DID/OSDD understands what it feels like. I hope this could be a good allegory for you to use? Although I have shown this example to people with systems, feel free to leave your own thoughts too.

"Kaya no soto" (茅の外) is a Japanese idiom that literally translates to "outside the fence made of kaya grass". The phrase is used to describe someone who is uninformed or ignorant of a situation, or who is excluded from a group or organization.

The kaya grass referred to in the idiom is a type of sedge grass that grows in Japan and other parts of Asia. Historically, it was used to make fences and walls, and was seen as a symbol of exclusion or separation.

The idiom "kaya no soto" is often used in situations where someone is unaware of important information or events, or is not involved in a particular group or community. It can also be used in a humorous or self-deprecating way to indicate one's own ignorance or exclusion.

【野】 No ✦ Field or plain. "野営 (yaei)" means camping, and "原野 (genya)" means wilderness.

✦Field, cultivated land. "野菜 (yasai)" means vegetables, and "田野 (denya)" means rice field. ✦ Folk, civilian. "野党 (yato)" means opposition party, and "在野 (zaiya)" means out of office. [Antonym] Morning. ✦ Natural, wild. "野生 (yasei)" means wild, and "野鳥 (yachou)" means wild birds. ✦ Rough, uncivilized. "野蛮 (yaban)" means barbaric, and "粗野 (soya)" means uncivilized. ✦ Ambitious, exceeding one's status. "野心 (yashin)" means ambition, and "野望 (yabou)" means aspiration. ✦ Classified area. "視野 (shiya)" means field of vision, and "分野 (bunya)" means field of study. ✦ Abbreviation of "下野の国 (Shimotsuke no Kuni)". "野州 (Yashuu)" means Shimotsuke Province. 【Kanji 2】Sho Countryside villa, summer house.

✦ The kanji 【野】 means "field" or "wilderness" in Japanese. It can also refer to "rough" or "uncivilized" behavior or nature. In some cases, it is used to indicate that a plant or animal is in its natural, wild state. It can be combined with other kanji to create words such as 野菜 (yasai) meaning "vegetables," 野生 (yasei) meaning "wild" or "untamed," and 野球 (yakyuu) meaning "baseball."

✦ Added to nouns representing people to express contempt for their uncivilized behavior. "野幇間 (daiko)" means wild street performer, and "野育ち (no sodachi)" means someone who grew up in a rough or uncivilized environment.

✦ It can also be used to combine with words like spacious farm or field to create an expression. "朝早くから野に出て働く (asa hayaku kara no ni dete hataraku)" means going out to work in the fields early in the morning.

✦【尊】Son (Wu) (Han) [Kun] Tattoui, Toutoi, Tattobu, Toutobu, Mikoto

✦ High value or rank; noble. "尊厳" (dignity), "尊属" (noble family), "尊大" (majestic), "尊卑" (social status), "独尊" (supremacy). ✦ To respect and cherish. ✦ One very interesting to note is Mikoto’s name and its association with deities. To be specific, the Three Pure Ones. They are often portrayed as elderly deities robed in the three basic colors from which all colors originated: Red, Blue and Yellow (or Green) depending on personal interpretation of color origins by additive or subtractive means.

✦ The impression Mikoto’s name gives is, “Someone who has a strong sense of hard work and dedication.”

But here are also possible interpretations of his name:

✦ Noble of the Torreya Fields. In this interpretation, the name can be seen as suggesting a person who is noble and respected in the fields where Torreya trees grow.

✦ Revered One from the Kaya Field In this interpretation, the name emphasizes the noble or revered status of the individual who comes from a place where Kaya trees grow (Kaya Fields).

✦ Honorable Torreya Tree Guardian If we consider 尊 (Mikoto) as representing honor and reverence, it could be interpreted as someone who is an honorable guardian or protector of the Torreya trees or the fields they grow in.

✦ Divine of the Torreya Fields In this interpretation, Mikoto as "divine" signifies someone who possesses divine or sacred qualities, and is connected to the fields where Torreya trees grow.

✦ Divine One from the Kaya Fields This interpretation suggests a person with sacred attributes originating from the Kaya fields.

✦ Divine Torreya Tree Guardian The name could be interpreted as someone who is a divine or sacred guardian or protector of the Torreya trees or the fields they grow in.

✦ A lot of Mikoto's name meanings is about PROTECTION.

Goroawase (ごあわらせ) is a Japanese wordplay technique that uses the first kana character of each word to create a new word or phrase. For Mikoto’s name (カヤノミコト) these would be the meaning:

✦ カミ (KAMI): "kami" (神) can mean "god" or "deity." ✦ ヤミ (YAMI): "Yami" (闇) means "darkness" or "shadow." ✦ ヤコ (YAKO): "Yako" (夜光) means "night light" or "luminescence."

Mikoto also has symbols that connect him to the Polaris Binary Star (if I am remembering this correctly). Let me show you a visual about Mikoto as a character.

✦Mikoto Kayano's Blood Type: AB

Mikoto Kayano's is Blood Type AB. The only one. It already represents him as an outcast and someone highly unique.

In Japan, the concept of blood type personality theory, known as ketsueki-gata, has gained significant popularity since its introduction in the 1920s. Although the theory has no scientific basis, many people in Japan believe that an individual's blood type can determine their personality traits, temperament, compatibility with others, and even influence their career and romantic prospects. The idea is not dissimilar to the way some people in Western cultures view astrological signs.

Blood type AB is one of the four primary blood types in the ABO blood group system, along with A, B, and O. According to Japanese beliefs, people with blood type AB possess unique characteristics due to the combination of both type A and type B antigens. These traits can be both positive and negative, and individuals with this blood type are often perceived as:

✦ Creative and artistic: Type AB individuals are thought to be highly imaginative, innovative, and capable of thinking outside the box. They may excel in fields that require original ideas and creative problem-solving.

✦ Rational and analytical: People with blood type AB are often seen as intellectually curious, possessing strong analytical abilities and a keen interest in understanding complex subjects.

✦ Calm and composed: Type AB individuals are believed to maintain a sense of emotional balance and are not easily swayed by external events or circumstances.

✦ Ambiguous or mysterious: Due to the mix of traits from both type A and type B blood groups, individuals with blood type AB may be seen as enigmatic and difficult to predict.

✦ Diplomatic and adaptable: As type AB individuals carry characteristics of both A and B blood types, they are thought to be adept at navigating social situations and building bridges between conflicting perspectives.

✦ Aloof and detached: On the negative side, people with blood type AB might be perceived as emotionally distant or reserved, which could make it challenging for them to form close relationships.

✦ Indecisive and disorganized: The blending of type A and type B traits may lead to difficulty in making decisions, a lack of focus, or trouble maintaining an organized lifestyle.

✦Mikoto's Character Design and DID

Mikoto is often described as someone who is "Mass produced" and an "Everyday Man."

But despite this, Mikoto's hair is a great way to describe his complexity. Based on what we know, here's how I would break it down.

You must be wondering why the Ahoge is seen as a separate identity. With character design, they are considered as a character by themselves. When you register them for ownership, the Ahoge or "Character Mark" would be the one registered. The rest is considered generic.

This is Mikoto in a nutshell. Try removing the ahoge, he is almost unrecognizable.

In short, this is genius character design. More explanation about the RGBY colors later on.

Mortal Kombat sona/oc, Zenalisa

Heeeey, decided to finally post my MK oc here lmao. Here are some ideas and background I had/have for her 👉😎👉

Based her from some ancient egypt/egyptian mythology. I wanted to give her the appearance of someone beautiful, yet gone rogue. She is mostly inspired from Sekhmet, the Goddess of War, who is ultimately tamed after getting tricked into drinking wine.

Like most egyptian gods and goddesses, they have the unique appearance of an animal head replacing their human head. I wanted to incorporate that into Zenalisa’s abilities. She can transform into five distinct prehistoric beasts, making her an even deadlier threat. The way she transforms, though, will change the output of her functionality.

Tarbosaurus - Brute offense

Smilodon - Cunning offense

Baryonyx - Speed

Mastodon - Brute defense

Kelenken - Cunning defense

In battle, she can transform only her head to whichever animal she chose, not only helping her in battle, but also changing how she thinks. For example, she would think more than impulsively act as part Mastodon than as part Baryonyx.

When she is fighting as her normal self, she has a specialized stance, both with and without her khopesh, which is her main weapon. Still working on ideas on how she would function if she were truly a Mortal Kombat character, which makes it all the more amusing！

gonna speculate a bit more about that two hander ep in the last series. spoilers under the cut ‼️

so from those awards behind reece, and those pics behind steve, it's pretty clear that steve's character is a very successful + respected psychotherapist

a couple routes this one could've gone down, but it's clear reeces character does have a connection to steve's; whether he was a former patient who died at steve's hand, or is the relative of one of steve's former patients remains to be seen. either way, it's for sure going to have some connection to the eps title "the trolley problem"

in my head - and this could be very far off - but from appearance alone, this gives me david & tommy vibes. so you've got a mentally ill man paired with someone successful + respected working in the medical field who is possibly trying to put the past behind himself, to move on from this role. the awards indicate to me that they're just trophies, memorabilia from his time as a therapist - basing this off of spencer in simon says having awards and pics about his flat from his time working on the ninth circle & tommy in bernie clifton being surrounded by the props belonging to his former life as a comedian

so maybe steve doesn't actually do this anymore - he's either moved on or is retired - but reece is so desperate for help that steve lets him in; letting his guard down for reece to dig a bit more into this person responsible for his own/a loved ones passing

a psychotherapists main area is 'talk therapy', meaning they talk with their client. unpack their problems, help them to understand their own mind

so it makes complete sense that the episode is just going to be steve & reece, as another person could interrupt that flow, take us out of this rapport these characters are going to grow throughout the episode

i'm gonna be honest, i've been praying and hoping for a "client/therapist" dynamic since thinking out loud but i thought it'd be too similar to that glimpse we saw with the therapist and nadine. but looks like they've gone for it

god i'm so excited for this ‼️

I think we're approaching this... "Chapter" of the Showgrounds Saga from the wrong direction

Theory Time!!

(It's a bit of a long one, so take your time)

Ok, so we've all been thinking - most of us at least - that this would be SMG3's Focus Arc and his turn to get character development and/or Trauma via a big movie event, but it's not what we expected. When I asked myself why, I came to some questions and theories

So, we've seen the pattern so far, SMG4's Perfection, Meggy's Idolization, and then WotFI happened, which I think was SMG3's Chapter.

I think what happened was that WotFI was his main event. Instead of building up to the tension, they swapped it and had the big event first with the development after, henceforth all of the focus episodes after WotFI regarding his shop, his selfworth and his place with the Crew.

So, "If SMG3 already had his fair share of Puzzle/Adware interference, then who's the focus for this chapter?" You may be asking, and I have the theory:

It's actually Us the Audience

Think about it! There's always some kind of connection between each Movie/Chapter moving towards the next one! In IGBP, while rescuing SMG4, how did Meggy fight off SMG3? Her splatfest skills (Former Splatfest Champion Wren)!! In Western Spaghetti, what did SMG3 have that added to his character from that point onwards? His bombs (Coffe n' Bombs Cafe)!!

So now, what's one connection with WotFI and this one? We the *Audience* are allowed to add our input based on the situation! (The Heist Plan Votes and the Video Reviews!!)

Not only that, BUT when WotFI finished and we got that post credit scene, Mr. Puzzles didn't address just anyone. No, he wasn't talking to SMG4, he wasn't talking to Luke, Marty, or SMG3; he was talking DIRECTLY to us the *Audience* at the 4th wall!

Adware KNOWS that we're finally picking up the hints and pieces!! He finally acknowledged that we're ready for our turn!!

When the first movie came out and he appeared as that keyboard malware virus (when we dubbed him Adware), we didn't think much of it. We thought it was a one-off, a fluke, something to further the story via typical SMG4 Weirdness.

It wasn't until the Western Spaghetti movie hype was building up that everyone realized that there's a pattern happening. That was when fans started pointing out, "Hey! There's something Fishy going on (Ha), and here's the hidden clues to prove it!!". We became suspicious of that damn symbol, and became more vigilant... and then WotFI happened!!

(Addition: I feel like Adware was beginning to test how ready we were when we got that one Steam Link with Tari in an empty room and the TV at the front of the train. Yeah, it was to hype up the movie, but it was also almost like a... puzzle, you could say)

Which could explain why this time it isn't a movie event that lasts for one week, but instead nearly over an entire month! I theorize that Winston wants to test us for some reason, and for that, he needs to collect information. Information like maybe a certain interactive website with reviews. You can't get the audience involved with just a single movie, just saying. Plus, the fact that he said endless entertainment all Saturdays forever? Who's the most involved in that specific detail, hmm?

Also! The theme! Granted, I don't have much proof for this one, but the theme I've noticed is Nostalgia. Blue's Clues isn't something very important to any of the characters that got kidnapped (minus 4 hating content farms) but it can be something that a lot of us have a fond attachment to! Which Adware could use to his Advantage! What better way to get good reviews than to target what the audiences like?

(4th wall sidenote, after that TV song jingle, Winston glances over to the screen directly at Us)

Also, notice how weird it is that the Crew Members that got kidnapped are popular among the fandom? You know, characters that we've gotten attached to? (Don't tell me Bob doesn't have a fanbase of his own). Every time a "Victim" is targeted, their close friends end up getting dragged into the mess.

Look I usually hate main characters BUT GOD POMNI IS SO LOVEABLE. My lil anxious i love her so much. I love her design and her womp womp face on her door. I think overtime she's gonna grow to love this place or just live in this constant line of abstracting.

i was just thinking about new kid and i wanna talk abt them cause i don't think anyone has yet

spoilers for the stick of truth, the fractured but whole and snowday‼️‼️

they always found a way to become op in all three games (sot, fbw, sd). yeah the new kid is only in games and in games you become op but thats not the point. the other kids are *aware* that the new kid is op, thats why there was rules in place IN snowday to stop them from being op (but then dark matter got involed blah blah blah). The new kid STILL became op, a reason why they get used by other kids. Now the new kid can leave at anytime, nothing really stops them yet they havent left. We dont really know what happens during school or off days so everything there is up to theory.

new kid just kinda goes along with everything, they dont argue or disagree. The only time they did say something was at the end of tsot. the ONLY line we got from them. They choose to talk, they arent canoniclly mute but they are quiet 100% of the time. I dont think anyone other than stan, kyle cartman and kenny know that the new kid can speak since it was only shown they spoke once. either that or they're just quiet from trauma, if you seen their backstory from playing the games you would know what i mean.

(on the topic of the first paragraph) I think they know that they're getting used aswell, not counting the fact that they were literally told that. they have no other people to hang out with from what we've seen, they have taken selfies with countless people around town and have over a hundred friends on facebook. We arent counting that. Im talking about the people he hangs out with; stans gang(w/butters), craig and those guys(w/tweek) and maybe timmy occasionally (not sure abt timmy cause they've only really interact in tfbw).

New kid could probably make friends with kids in their school, I'd say its difficult since they dont talk. Im not an expert on making friends (really, im not) but i would say its difficult to make friends by just staring at someone because the person might get the wrong idea. Like, they're quiet to the point no one knows their name. They get referred to as 'new kid' instead of their name. Thats peak quiet behaviour.

honestly i would say that new kid did speak before they moved to south park cause of how their parents spoke to them at the start of tsot (they full on expected a response from them, but didnt get one) then eventually just accepted that their kid wasnt going to talk in tfbw. oh and it was definitely difficult to pick what parent to kill in the lab.

i think new kid is in desperate need of therapy, no explanation needed.

I love the new kid (platonic), they're one of my favourite characters in south park even though they only appear in tbe games. most people probably forget about them after they finish the games, id say that happens with the characters in the games aswell.

new kid is constantly forgotten about, as much as they hang out with the main 4, they're always forgotten after the games arr finished. the only character(excluding their parents) that ever showed any kind of care to new kid was Mysterion(techically kenny). This isnt word for word, Mysterion said along the lines of 'i have this strange urge to protect you'. Id say that when kenny isnt with stan, kyle, cartman or butters they're just chilling with new kid. that's kinda just a hc of mine though.

For all the silent posts, are you thinking along the lines of the game/games or the movies?

Definitely basing it more on the games rather than the movies!! I do not like the movies and in fact I kind of hate them. The first one is ..fine i guess, but the second one is so bad I had to shut it off halfway through. That's just my opinion though.

Anyway, I wanna talk about the way I'm thinking about this. Sorry to be using this ask as a springboard, I'm just excited. Writing more under the cut ykno ykno

Where I'm at now, Angel is in a similar position to Heather, but really only superficially. She has no real reason (that she knows of) to be in Silent Hill/ this Silent Hill equivalent, nor was it her intention to even be there in the first place. She's just trying to escape a shitty "home" life and she had things to work through for herself, it's that.

I really want Timothy to be not as present (cause this isn't really for him primarily), but I'm not sure if I can handle that with what I wanna do with him. I want him to be more akin to Maria or mayyybe Eileen? I haven't decided on whether or not he's real, but either way, the original (pre-Jack) Timothy Lawrence in my little AU (I guess it's appropriate to call this that?) is a missing person rather than being legally dead. Again, I haven't thought about him as much as I have Angel, so he's not really as fleshed-out.

I am considering putting other characters in as like minor appearances, but I want to focus on the two main players first. I just want an excuse to put someone else in there too.

As for where in Silent Hill this happens, I'm kind of settled on it being in a pretty condensed area. I scribbled what I was thinking of doing onto a map earlier, subject to change of course.

That's a good chunk of what I'm thinking Right Now!

Can you tell these two games are some of my favorite things ever.

‼️ Edit: I'm taking inspiration from the Silent Hill 2 novelization as well, even though I may not have finished it yet at the time of writing. It's not significantly different necessarily, but credit where it's due and all that :D

elsewhere is my biggest hyperfixation which sucks because nobody has heard of it (I don’t mean in a "there’s a fandom but I don’t know anybody irl" way or a "it’s vaguely obscure" way I mean I’m pretty sure I’m the only person online to have ever posted about this comic within a fandom context). It’s kind of alternate history kind of historical fiction but it’s a lot more "alternate" and "fiction" than it is history since it puts more focus on crazy adventures in an alien world than the real lives of the main protagonists (Amelia Earhart and D. B. Cooper) but if somebody was interested in fiction involving those characters (which I massively was before reading it. I watch/read every single D. B. Cooper media) they would probably like it.

It revolves around Amelia Earhart being transported into an alternate world named Korvath and fights alongside the natives against the evil overlord Kragen. There are a lot of plot twists but you can’t really explain the series without spoiling the extremely minor first one, that being the appearance of D. B. Cooper. At the end of the first issue, Amelia pretends to turn herself into Kragen’s prison in the hopes that her co-pilot Fred Noonan has been imprisoned there, only to find out that she has not in fact been put in a cell with Fred, but rather a sad little wet cat goofball named Daniel (he has stolen thousands of dollars in a famous skyjacking incident) and then in the next issue they escape and make their way back to the group.

I’m probably gonna have to get it out the way, Dan is my favourite character by far because he’s so silly. He’s always either a gremlin or a wet cat

it’s probably easier to sum up why I love him with my collection of Dan screenshots

he’s so caffeine addicted… (also canon/heavily implied bisexual‼️ which is why we are getting married‼️)

There are two arcs but it got cancelled after that because it didnt get enough sales (there was no promotion) (still kinda bugs me how comic companies don’t advertise their comics and then cancel them when they don’t make enough) which shall forever be my equivalent to the burning of the library of Alexandria. Because of the obscurity there is no‼️ chance of it coming back either…

i don’t really know how to end this so just have this random moment from the comic that aged extremely well
