1 For this cause, I Paul am the prisoner of Jesus Christ for you Gentiles.
2 If ye have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God, which is given me to youward,
3 That is, that God by revelation hath showed this mystery unto me (as I wrote above in few words,
4 Whereby when ye read, ye may know mine understanding in the mystery of Christ)
5 Which in other ages was not opened unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy Apostles and Prophets by the Spirit,
6 That the Gentiles should be inheritors also, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the Gospel,
7 Whereof I am made a minister by the gift of the grace of God given unto me through the effectual working of his power.
8 Even unto me the least of all Saints is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles, the unsearchable riches of Christ,
9 And to make clear unto all men what the fellowship of the mystery is, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who hath created all things by Jesus Christ,
10 To the intent, that now unto principalities and powers in heavenly places, might be known by the Church the manifold wisdom of God,
11 According to the eternal purpose, which he wrought in Christ Jesus our Lord:
12 By whom we have boldness and entrance with confidence, by faith in him.
13 Wherefore I desire that ye faint not at my tribulations for your sakes, which is your glory.
14 For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
15 (Of whom is named the whole family in heaven and in earth)
16 That he might grant you according to the riches of his glory, that ye may be strengthened by his Spirit in the inner man,
17 That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith:
18 That ye, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all Saints, what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height:
19 And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye may be filled with all fullness of God.
20 Unto him therefore that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,
21 Be praise in the Church by Christ Jesus, throughout all generations forever, Amen.

Giving tumblr a big side eye and edging toward the door. Every time i open this damn app I see several posts about people gatekeeping Astarion and Karlach romances. I'm not fucking digging it lads. I think I'll refrain from posting my romance art here because people can't behave themselves.
This is a question for you!
What do you think it would be like if Berlin had had a daughter instead of a son?
Him and the daughter of course.
Question for me??? I love those!!
Ahh let's see - I cannot remember much about Rafael, because I prefer to pretend he doesn't exist. I do remember he's an engineer (like Martín--) with a degree from MIT. Didn't Andrés pay for that?
Anyway, I doubt his daughter would get that kind of a treatment. Andrés is so intensely misogynist, and ~traditional besides, I don't think he'd care to fund a woman's studies. And anyway, she should spend her time on something more fitting of a woman. Not to mention, she doesn't need a degree: she has a pretty face, that'll get her far in life. Just look at her mother! She got married to Andrés, after all; what more could a woman want? What more should a woman aspire for, beyond attracting a powerful man?
If she wanted to look for his approval (terrible choice, but I wanna give her the autonomy to make her own terrible choices, anyway), suppose she could follow him into a career in crime. She should seduce men and rob them, that kind of thing. That might at least fit his idea of how a woman should be (going by how Tatiana was a fellow thief, and he seemed pleased by that).
And when all is said and done - would he care about her? I doubt that. He doesn't really seem like a family man. Too hedonistic, too selfish. Maybe he could begrudgingly respect her, some day. As a woman, though - not as a person.
(Now, I recall I've been asked this before, in an anon ask I never remembered to answer. May have been you. Nonetheless, I'm sorry about that - I've always been a terrible texter, if that helps.)
I'm still working on finding potentially better boots and gloves but wow! I finally got the veil, and it's so fancy.... this is a much sleeker set that abandons a lot of the tech he had in his main fit for a more "Force-guided" look. Feels kinda ceremonial, too, like even his face is something only privy to his master. Insert loss of identity and gilded cage metaphors here
I also thought about making it white at first, but black is much more fitting. (I do like the wedding feel with the alternate scheme though).
The things I do for fic writing purposes. I'm out here scouring the internet for translations of Christian apocrypha and reviewing the nativity and infancy stories on my own Bible for a fic that is not supposed to be any more complicated than: "What if Leafpool just straight up lied and said her kittens were miraculously conceived?"
"Because knowledge of the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven has been granted to you, but to them it has not been granted. But blessed are your eyes, because they see, and your ears, because they hear."
In cui noi abbiamo la libertà, e l’introduzione in confidanza, per la fede d’esso.
in whom we have boldness and access in confidence by the faith of him.

separate descriptions of "Lucifer's last stand" and "Lucifer in flight" given re: these glimpses of rehearsing ft. Asia Kate Dillon in The Mysteries (as Lucifer)
There’s a subtle mystery shrouded in the wordplay between Yeshua and Nicodemus that hardly ever gets talked about. This is part of the reason it’s so difficult to describe consciousness to modern Christians. Click the link for more.
"...shouldn't you be inside with the others?" you ask quietly, so as to not draw any unwanted attention to yourself. Or Yamato, you suppose, since he's gone through the trouble of sneaking out onto the balcony in the first place.
"In a bit," he says, offering you a small smile as he beckons you to join him with a small wave of his hand. So you step further out into the night, stopping next to where he's leaning against the railing. His cheeks are a light pink, you note, but it's chilly out, so you have no way of knowing just how long he's been out here. "Onii-san just wanted a breath of fresh air. The kids should be fine for five more minutes."
Kids? You barely manage to stifle a laugh as you glance at him, lips curled upwards in amusement. "Aren't Iori-kun and Tamaki-kun the only ones still in high school?"
Yamato arches a brow, as if to ask, So what? As if to emphasize this, you hear what sounds like Mitsuki dragging Nagi away from a group of girls -- at least, you assume that's what's going on based on the exchange.
"Come on!"
"Aw!"
"...point taken." You hum softly under your breath as you turn you attention away from the party inside, as well the idol standing next to you, and focus instead on the stars strewn across the night sky overhead. "Mm... it's nice out here."
"Especially now that you're here," he replies, chuckling, and you almost give in to the urge to slap him for teasing you. "What? Don't believe me? It's every man's dream to slip away from a party with a beautiful woman."
"W-what?"
"Just kidding." Yamato winks, and you feel your entire face heat up. Mentally berating yourself for getting caught up in his words, you scowl and look away. You can practically hear the smile in his voice as he continues, "Onii-san can't play favorites, after all."
"R-right. Of course not," you hear yourself saying, your voice entirely too shaky for your liking.
"Well, I think it's about time for me to head back inside. Thanks for the company." His hand settles on top of your head, ruffling your hair affectionately, and the comforting warmth is gone all too soon. You hear the sound of clothes rustling and footsteps, followed by Yamato's laugh as he rejoins his groupmates, but all of that is drowned out by the erratic beating of your own traitorous heart.

This is the reason, the evidence and great cause of condemnation [for all sin]: that Light is come into the world. Christ is the Light, foretold by the prophet Isaiah. He is styled, in the beginning of [John's] Gospel, the true Light; that is, He has in perfection all the excellent qualities of light: the power to enlighten the minds of men in the knowledge of saving truth, to warm the affections with the love of it, to revive the disconsolate, and to make the heavenly seed of the Word to flourish and fructify in their lives. This Light is come into the world; that signifies not only His Incarnation, but His revealing the merciful counsel of God for our salvation, which the clearest spirits could never have discovered; [Christ alone] has opened the way that leads to eternal life.
But men loved darkness rather than light; because their deeds were evil: they preferred, chose, and adhered to their ignorance and errors, [choosing these over] the light of life, the saving knowledge of the gospel. Their ignorance is affected and voluntary, and no colour of excuse can be alleged for it; no, it is very culpable and guilty, by neglecting to receive instruction from the Son of God. The vices and lusts of men are the works of darkness, the fruits of their ignorance and errors; and they are so pleasant to the carnal corrupt nature, that to enjoy them securely, they obstinately reject the light of the gospel. This aggravates their sin and sentence.
