While open Door grants leave to thee

Why waitest thou for Golden Land ?

Why sheath thy Sword in midst of war

WHY

Why dwell we thus in bonds of dust

In age of pain... in disarray

Where beauty bends to moth and rust

Imprisoned gods in jars of clay

Subjected to futility

Surrendered glory through deceit

Embraced we this so willingly

Why longed we so for swift defeat

Such power weilded long ago

Were strength and honor so unmet

That desperately the vanquished foe

Through pride and lust so sore beset

Through cunning avarice did gain

The world of men he sought to rule

And seeing power swiftly wain

Saw then himself... the perfect fool

For One did interpose Himself

Between the gods and mortal blow

Defeating then that wicked elf

Our enemy of long ago

Embraced the Sovereign Lord of Life

The thrust of Death into His heart

Thus saving us from lasting strife

To immortality impart

Redemption's story clearly told

But why the loathe necessity

Of Death's dark power from of old

Why pain.. Why tears.. Mortality

Returned from Death's eternal night

Restored to thee all power and might

REMEMBER

Remember when thy days were new

Before Light swept the morning dew

When beauty played on every face

Before Night fell on Adam's race

Remember now thy call to Life

To endless Love.. To mortal strife

The day the infant gods were born

To share the rose.. To share the thorn

Remember then thy Father's face

From Whom received ye Light's embrace

And now recall thy Brother's smile

Engraved within thee all the while

Feel now the All Consuming Flame

Birth kindred spirits in His name

Feel now the Fire who burns within

Give birth to freedom.. death to sin

Fulfilled desire without delay

Unending strength to war.. to play

All Wisdom within thee gave rest

Omniscience danced within thy breast

Thought made form did carry thee

On wings of golden majesty

To shimmering heights thy soul they bore

In latter days, to fields of war

From whence returnest warrior gods

Whom joyful Majesty applauds

In whom Omnipotence reigns free

From whom the fallen vanquished flee

Behold, the Lord makes the earth empty and makes it waste...

Distorts its surface and scatters abroad its inhabitants.

The land shall be entirely emptied and utterly plundered.

For the Lord has spoken this word.

The earth mourns and fades away. The world languishes and fades away. The haughty people of the earth languish.

The earth is defiled under its inhabitants, because they have transgressed the laws, changed the ordinance, and broken the everlasting covenant.

Therefore the curse has devoured the earth, and those who dwell in it are desolate.

Therefore the inhabitants of the earth are burned, and few men are left.

Fear and the pit and the snare are upon you, O inhabitant of the earth, for the windows from on high are open, and the foundations of the earth are shaken.

The earth is violently broken. The earth is split open. The earth is shaken exceedingly. The earth shall reel to and fro like a drunkard, and shall totter like a hut. Its transgression shall be heavy upon it.

It will fall, and not rise again.
