I mourn the fact that we all got used to movies as complete works that we tend to forget the amount of effort and elements that go into them.
A movie is not only the story or representation, it is also acting, world-building, costumes, music, camera work and many more.
A movie with an average plot can be easily discarded as unworthy of attention and forgotten, which is, of course, understandable - the plot is crucial to many. But sometimes underneath a mediocre story there hides an amazing score, perfect shots, remarkable costumes, that often do not get the appreciation they deserve.
It's horrible when your best work might be tossed aside just because somebody else could have done theirs better
