The Kinda Unhinged Ratiorine Fic I Want to Read
In an (admittedly very contrived) AU situation, Dr. Ratio finds out he's about to be cut out of his (mostly estranged) family's inheritance forever because of his complete lack of interest in continuing the family line. Which, all factors considered, does make perfectly logical sense. Investment of capital should go to the branch of the lineage most likely to benefit from it, and Cousin Tiberius has five sons and daughters already. Let the house and the trust fund go to them.
But the library.
There's absolutely no way Veritas could bear to be permanently parted from the staggering assemblage of paper volumes under his collected family's auspices. Not only would being separated from tomes so full of memories be heart-wrenching, but think of the devastating blow to his research! There are records in those archives that no other mortal eyes have ever gazed upon!
So there's only one solution for it: He needs to pass on his family name, immediately.
(Andddd the rest is under a read more because what is brevity?)
Problem 1: Veritas Ratio is very gay.
Problem 2: Statistically, single men have the lowest chance of being selected for adoption placement, and this Child Welfare Agent is looking at his alabaster head very, very strangely.
Think, Ratio, think. What is the most efficient way to solve such a tedious quandary?
The obvious first step is to increase his likelihood of being selected by the adoption agency, and the quickest way to do that is... Eureka! How elegant a design! He just needs to enter into a (temporary) committed and stable partnership to demonstrate a degree of domestic dedication and home-building prowess!
Problem 3: ...Where in the universe is he going to find a stable and committed man willing to marry him?
Ratio does not exactly possess the world's most endearing personality. He might... never have had any form of romantic relationship lasting past a one-night stand even, because it turns out most people don't like being scored a 2/10 on their technique during intercourse.
So he's probably not going to find a stable and committed man.
But... He might at least find someone willing--for the right price.
Enter Aventurine (stage left). He's as expensive as they come, the greatest reward saved for the highest bidder, but despite his festering ambitions, he's still trapped as nothing more than a high-class escort, owned by a company the IPC has on the books as selling everything but what they actually trade in: Avgin slaves.
Sigonians... The reputation--and sleazy men's curiosity--precedes him, and though he only has to get on his knees for the truly bold nowadays, he hasn't yet been able to make the ultimate gamble, pull the last string needed to finally gain his freedom: the freedom to live his life as he pleases--and to enact every ounce of vengeance he's been storing for decades like cards up his sleeves.
Until now.
Until an absolute madman shows up at the underground headquarters waving around an offer that no average person would possibly make: He wants to buy Aventurine and wed him.
(Because marrying a Sigonian thrall is a safe and sane thing that safe and sane people do.)
The offer is far too good to be trusted: A real marriage certificate but a perfectly fake marriage, a no-fault divorce once an adoption is finalized, and a guaranteed sponsor for his citizenship documents. A year or two of fake homemaking, this Veritas Ratio claims, and then Aventurine can walk away a completely free man, no strings--no chains--attached.
Well, Aventurine of the Myriad Stratagems has always held one skill dearer to his heart than any other: a crystal clear knowledge of when to fold--and when to go all in.
(...Problem 4: Amber Lord help him, Aventurine's new husband is the most irritating man in the entire universe.)
Alas, if only that was their biggest problem. Somewhere between learning to navigate the citizenship process, the adoption process, a truly unacceptable level of systemic racism, and also, increasingly, each other, Ratio and Aventurine discover that the circumstances of their lives might be far more entangled than they ever could have imagined from the beginning, and the same shadowy parties that profited off Aventurine's existence might have a vested interest in parting Ratio from valuable research secrets--permanently.
While struggling to maintain a charming and loving facade and struggling not to kill each other behind the scenes, Aventurine and Ratio also end up having to out-roll and out-plan a particularly dangerous enemy; something they can really only do together.
Or, tl;dr: Dr. Ratio chooses the most efficient but most unhinged method of finding a husband that intelligence could possibly contrive, only to determine that marrying a guy whose track record for unexplained deaths matches his track record for card counting really is the encyclopedic opposite of "committed and stable." Ridiculously enough, the trouble they get into is almost entirely Ratio's fault, the only one who is remotely convincing in front of the Child Welfare Agency is Aventurine, and sometimes it turns out the guy you married for the library ends up being the guy you married for life.

Where's the nsfw stuff?
Sigh.
I was going to ignore this ask, but then I decided this is a perfect opportunity to unpack one of the bigger problems creators are facing in fandom today, namely entitled consumers (not fans) of their work, who expect a constant stream of new content without giving anything in return.
Let’s begin with this simple formula: if you like something an artist has created and want to see more of it, then you should:
Comment on and publicly bookmark the content (AO3)
Reblog the content (Tumblr)
In other words, anon, you have to support them. You’re going to have to put in a little effort, which isn’t asking much considering the much greater effort it takes authors and artists to make the content you enjoy so much.
Likes on Tumblr don’t do shit; reblogging is the only way to be seen. Private bookmarks on AO3 don’t do shit. Comments make an author’s day, even one liners like “I really loved this” or a keyboard smash with a little heart on the end. A simple “thank you for writing and sharing” is a great way to endear yourself to an author.
How long does it take to leave a 4-word comment? A few seconds? Reblogging a post takes literally one second, maybe a few more if you add some nice tags (yes, we see those too). To compare, how long does it take an author to plot, draft, write, edit, and post a 5000-word story? Or an artist to draw a fully colored and rendered piece of art? NSFW art can take even longer, because finding the right pose and drawing anatomy is more challenging.
Almost all of us creators have jobs or education or health issues or real life obligations that prevent us from being able to devote all our free time to writing or drawing. They are our hobbies, the things we do to unwind and give our lives a little zazz. Many fan authors and fan artists receive no financial compensation for their work. They make it for free and share it with others in the hopes that their creations will be enjoyed by others and people will send them a little feedback about how much they liked them. That is the only payment some of us get.
Do you know the difference between a consumer and a fan, anon? A consumer is someone who takes and takes and never gives back, someone who follows an artist on social media without ever interacting with them, who never reblogs or retweets that artist’s work, never comments, but only clicks the “like” button and moves on, and then later wonders why that artist has stopped making art for X thing.
A fan is someone who is enthusiastic and supportive, who will leave a few positive words when they can, who reblogs and comments. A fan is thankful, and so are we creators when we find people like this—we’ve got a live one, boys! Many of them become our friends, and we go on to have epic chats and brainstorming sessions and share ideas, which in turn generates more art than there would have been without this friendship.
This is the heart and guts of fandom itself. This mingling and sharing, this love fest between artists and authors and gifmakers and photoeditors and fans who can’t do any of that but love to see the stuff their friends make, and they hit that reblog button and leave comments and click that little heart when they’re making a bookmark on AO3 to show just how much they loved it.
We creators see that. And it validates us. We’re not alone! Someone out there enjoys this thing as much as I do, and holy shit they reblogged it too! And now other people are seeing it! Asdf;lkjs;ljdf;lsajd
If creators never receive feedback or have their work shared, then they have no idea if their audience is enjoying their work. Or if they even have an audience. If you don’t engage and interact with creators, very few of them are going to create more stuff. Why should they? They have no incentive beyond whatever love compelled them to create in the first place.
If you want writers and artists to keep creating the content you enjoy, SUPPORT them. Reblog. Comment. Bookmark. You never know if you’re going to make someone’s day—or a new friend.

hello different anon here: i have never felt more relieved to find other people who think neu × furi is like. at least a little weird. for real i feel like crying bc everyone i find around are like "omg the company keeps pairing them up / they have an ice skating routine based on them they're so hashtag canon hehe" it makes me want to blow myself up with explosives...!!! i struggle to find content of them being friends / strictly platonic with no romantic undertones. its sooo rough out here MODS HELP!!!
you know there's actually a lot of people who agree it's just that nobody talks about it, ik on twt at least it's bc people know their fans act like rabid dogs marking their territory with acidic piss. and nobody wants to deal with that. anyway glad to be of service
also fun fact the ice skating routine is fanmade and not commissioned by hyv, the og ig post doesn't mention comms at all the dancer just says they were inspired by the characters. said dancer is also a piece of shit bc they're pro-invasion so if I were them I wouldn't reclaim it even if it was official

Instagram, TikTok and other social media have become daily fixtures in the lives of children and young people around the world, with 59% of young people surveyed by Amnesty International now spending more than two hours of their average day on social media. Yet research on young people’s experiences on social media remains overwhelmingly focused on North America, Europe and Australia. Amnesty International collected responses from 550 children and young people between the ages of 13 and 24 across 45 countries to better understand their lived experiences, concerns and attitudes towards social media. Amidst praise for the diversity of ideas, users’ creativity and opportunities for activism that young people find on social media, two major concerns stand out: the toll harmful content and what many young participants describe as “addictive” platform design take on young people’s mental health and their feeling of powerlessness in the face of global companies’ constant nudging to participate in a vicious cycle of personal data sharing and content consumption.
‘“We are totally exposed”: Young people share concerns about social media’s impact on privacy and mental health in global survey‘, Amnesty International

I’ve just seen people complaining that Mercedes don’t do enough Lewis content and are shoving George down everyone’s throats and just…
A) Lewis doesn’t do ‘content’, like that’s been the case for YEARS now, why are you only just noticing?
B) We got 9 posts about Lewis’ P2 at Hungary, they’ve done 2 posts about George’s P2 at Zandvoort. There is considerably more Lewis content full stop and he’s getting a merch drop for Monza which George isn’t… the idea the team are ignoring him is just pure fantasy. Everyone’s just got themselves angry at George daring to exist right now…

**Unveiling the Secret: How to Effortlessly Earn Money on YouTube by Harnessing the Power of Artificial Intelligence Tools to Automate Content Creation, Boost Viewer Engagement, and Unlock New Revenue Streams**
In the digital age, YouTube has emerged not just as a platform for entertainment and information but as a lucrative marketplace for creators. The advent of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies has opened up new vistas for content creators, allowing them to monetize their channels with greater efficiency and creativity. This article explores the transformative power of AI in creating a sustainable income stream on YouTube, even for those who prefer to stay behind the camera.
### The AI Revolution in YouTube Content Creation
The landscape of YouTube content creation is undergoing a radical transformation, thanks to AI. With these technologies, individuals can generate content, engage viewers, and drive monetization efforts more effectively, without the traditional hurdles of video production.
1. **AI-Driven Scriptwriting**: Tools like ChatGPT are revolutionizing the scriptwriting process, enabling creators to generate engaging and SEO-friendly scripts within minutes. This not only saves time but also ensures that the content resonates with the intended audience.
2. **Voice Synthesis**: Voiceover is a critical component of video production, especially for creators who wish to remain anonymous. AI voice synthesis technologies, such as WellSaid Labs and Murf AI, provide realistic and customizable voiceovers, adding a personal touch to videos without revealing the creator's identity.
3. **Automated Video Editing**: AI-powered video editing tools like Pictory and InVideo are simplifying the editing process, allowing creators to produce high-quality videos by automatically aligning text content with relevant visuals and transitions.
4. **Thumbnail and Graphic Design**: First impressions matter, and AI is helping creators stand out with eye-catching thumbnails and graphics. Tools such as Canva and Adobe Spark leverage AI to suggest designs based on content themes, significantly enhancing click-through rates.
### Engaging Your Audience with AI
Engagement is key to building a loyal viewership on YouTube. AI tools aid in understanding viewer preferences and optimizing content accordingly.
- **Personalized Recommendations**: AI algorithms analyze viewer behavior to suggest personalized content, keeping audiences engaged and increasing view times.
- **Interactive Chatbots**: AI-powered chatbots can be integrated into video descriptions or as pinned comments to answer viewer queries in real-time, enhancing interaction.
### Monetization Strategies Leveraging AI
With a solid content and engagement strategy powered by AI, monetization becomes the next frontier. Here's how AI can aid in monetizing your YouTube channel:
- **Ad Optimization**: AI tools can predict the best slots for ads within your videos, maximizing revenue without compromising viewer experience.
- **Sponsorship Matching**: AI can analyze your content and audience demographics to match you with the perfect sponsors, streamlining the sponsorship process.
- **Merchandising**: By analyzing viewer data, AI can suggest the most viable merchandise options, ensuring that your merchandising efforts hit the mark.
### Conclusion: The Future Is AI-Powered
The integration of AI in YouTube content creation and monetization represents a paradigm shift in how individuals approach this platform. It's not just about automation; it's about enhancing creativity, personalizing viewer experience, and optimizing revenue streams. Whether you're a seasoned YouTuber or just starting out, embracing AI tools can propel your channel to new heights, making content creation more accessible, engaging, and profitable. As we stand on the brink of this new era, the question is no longer if AI will transform YouTube content creation but how quickly creators will adapt to this change.

I have a genuine question about likes here on Tumblr (and maybe anywhere I guess): do you guys press like here on A) posts that contain content you enjoy/agree with, B) posts from people you follow regardless of if you liked/read the content of the post, C) in hopes that those people will like your posts, or D) all of the above?

hi!! since you don't tag much have you ever considered just making like sideblogs for each fandom or something? i know you're multifandom but i followed for the ironstrange content, just a suggestion i don't mean to criticize or something ;;
There's quite a load to unpack here, but I know you mean no harm, anon. So let me just clear this up: first, I'm gonna assume you're new here. Not on my blog, but like, the entirety of tumblr. Because there are countless of blogs out there (multifandom ones) that tend not to tag their posts and post from different fandoms. And I'm not sure if you know, but you can easily filter out tags from fandoms you don't wanna see; I don't need to tag my reblogs for that, if OP already has those tags in the post it'll filter itself out. (There should be an option for tag filters in your settings.) In this case, here's some fandoms I've recently been fixating on that you may want to filter out if you only wanna see the ironstrange stuff: - BBC Sherlock (long-term hyperfixation) - Good Omens - Spiderverse (although this one's still marvel, but thought I'd include it anyway) - Dead Poets Society - Baldur's Gate 3
And I haven't finished watching Heartstopper, and courtesy of a friend I'm going to start watching the live action One Piece soon, so I may or may not go on a reblog spree soon for those two. Consider filtering those out as well.
Second, as you know, I've mentioned very clearly in my blog desc and intro post that I'm a multifandom blog and I tend to jump between one fixation to another. I even said I go on reblog sprees a lot of times. So you should already be warned before following me.
Third, this is my blog. I get to do whatever the hell I want with it. If I wanna make it my dumpster, I'll make it my dumpster. If I wanna make it neat and organised, I'll make it neat and organised. If I wanna spam shitposts in it, I'll spam shitposts in it. Followers are not entitled to think that me or my blog is a content peddler--like accounts in, say, TikTok--and if you think my *personal* blog that I made for *myself* and *my enjoyment* should be catered to your liking, then I'm afraid you're wrong. And besides, I like the way I'm running my blog right now. It's not neat in any way, or convenient for any other person, but I like the way it is.
Anyway, if you still feel like I'm running my blog wrong, the unfollow button is right there. :)

This isn't LGBTQ+ related but as someone with a shitload of sexual trauma I find the presence of all those bots and just overly sexual stuff in media disturbing. Like, no matter what platform I use and no matter how far away I try stay away from these types of posts, I always somehow stumble on porn. It's no surprise that kids these days are so easilx exposed to that kinda stuff. It makes me so angry. You know platforms COULD do something to stop sexual content being so easily accessible but they choose not to as they profit from it. And god, i hate it. Can we not just make separate apps for that with regulations to stop minors from accessing them? Similar like 18+ YouTube videos? All for people expressing their sexual freedom and more appreciation for sex work but if that is pushed onto me on every media platform I use without my consent (and reports doing NOTHING) then that's not the way to go.
Please tell me I'm not the only one hugely bothered by this.
