y/n grinned as she sucked a deep breath through her nose, her breathing slightly out of pace from all the jumping as she slid her guitar strap over her shoulder, fixing the instrument to her.

"Okay, I know ya'll love this one." y/n grinned, she looked up at the VIP section, eyes catching that of her lover's. Leah Williamson, even now, when there were thousands screaming for her, all y/n would ever want to find was the blonde.

y/n's fingers played the familiar riff on the guitar and the crowd started their screaming again as the drums kicked in. The Lionesses in the section all cheered and began to bounce as Leah chuckled.

"Yesterday I crashed my car Because I wondered what it'd feel like Pressed my foot down on the pedal And I ran right through the stop sign." y/n sang.

Her voice had always been low, raspy and powerful. She used to hate that, but as she got older and found that no songs fit her, she found that it was best to write ones to do so.

Leah loved her voice, from the second the two met Leah would sit and listen in awe every time y/n opened her mouth, she could be recording in the studio or belting mockingly in the shower, Leah would stop and listen every time.

The performance boomed as y/n sung through the chorus. Her voice strong and just louder than the screaming crowd. Her precious guitar now sat safely off her as she bounced and sang.

Her hair was slick with sweat as she lent back slightly her jaw line popping and making Leah sigh and pinch at her nose in need at how hot her lover was.

"You alright there Leah?" Georgia asks, her voice worried as Leah turned to look at her, but the blonde scoffed when she saw the shit-eating grin on Georgia's face.

The chorus began again and the lights flashed wilder as the bass became jumpier, the crowd bobbing as they jumped with y/n who always had good stamina and a great core to sing and dance as she did.

"I think I'm hooked." y/n finished with her song. The lights cutting out as the crowd screamed as the lights came back up, y/n laughing as she waved to everyone.

y/n let out a sigh as she slid her jacket off, her strong arms coming into show from the black one-piece she was wearing which was a bit too low cut for Leah's liking.

The sleek Arsenal red flares her lover also wore were more covering than the cleavage filled top, but the tightness at the top clung to her perky ass so well Leah gulped.

The cheers got louder which caused y/n to laugh as she ran a hand through her hair, shaking her head at the whistles which were aimed her way.

"This, is for one woman only." y/n winked, nodding toward the Lionesses where the camera zoomed in on the now smirking blonde captain.

Keira chuckled next to Leah as Georgia jeered, clapping her friend on the back who rolled her eyes playfully as y/n then hummed into her microphone.

The crowd were screaming once more, y/n grinning at her lover as she spun around her and to her front, Leah's arms wrapping around her naturally as she lent back to sing.

"I could never leave her, I could never keep her" That's what she says to the neighborhood preacher And she put us in a car, I don't know where we are But I fell in love with the fever and I." y/n sang.

Leah couldn't help but lean down and press a small kiss to the junction where y/n's neck met her shoulder and the crowd cheered once more.

She rose to her feet as the song continued, pulling the blonde in for a kiss which Leah returned albeit a little sheepishly considering they were in front of thousands.

y/n pulled away, pecking Leah's lips once more before high-fiving Georgia and running back to stage for the last section of the song.

"If I tell you what I'm thinking promise, you won't tell yourself If you tell me what you're thinking, I swear I won't tell myself She's on the ground, she's on his knees, she's a believer She's on the ground, she didn't listen to the preacher." y/n finished with a dramatic bow.

The crowd screamed and cheered as y/n chuckled, waving to them once more as she began to thank them all and her band.

"And thank you baby, for being so good with me." y/n added into the microphone which caused Leah to chuckle. "And to the team, because you're all always hype-women for me and that slaps." y/n added.

The crowd cheered as she thanked them once more before running off-stage, sighing in relief as she chugged a bottle of ice cold water while she waited for the growing cheers of the Lionesses to get closer.

"You sure know how to put on a show mrs. skipper!" Millie called as she slammed her hands on y/n's shoulders, only to wipe the sweat which coated them onto a shouting Rachel.

LJ and Hempo both cheered as the three shared a quick shared high five, before Lotte, Beth and Niamh all did the same.

"Hmm, certainly." Leah said, folding her arms and raising a sharp brow, an unimpressed look on her face at the stunt pulled.

"Love you." y/n winked as she pressed a kiss to Leah, Alessia and Ella letting out fake gags which caused Lucy to hit them.

"Children." Keira chuckled as Georgia high-fived y/n once again as y/n sighed and sagged.

"Carry me to dressing room?" She asked Leah tiredly and the blonde nodded, swooping up the star into her arms as the Lionesses teased and cooed.

"Shut up!" Leah called before walk off with her lover.

Hey! This is just my personal views based on what I studied and the people I interacted with, and any common themes therefore.

- Sagittarius placements may be slow to commitment because they have seen others commit to something (marriage, having children, etc) and saw how these same people may have been struggling and were in over their heads. We also have to remember that Sag risings have Saturnian 2H (values, tangibility) and 3H (rationale) houses in Capricorn and Aquarius. -If you ever met someone and you can’t stop thinking of them or you feel like they should be in your life for a reason, check to see if y’all have 8th house synastry or 8th house composite placements. Hey hey y'all! 👋🏾

Soooo...𝑫𝒚𝒏𝒂𝒔𝒕𝒚 is complete! What did y'all think? Did you enjoy the ride? Were you surprised by any of the developments of the story? Were you on Team Forgive Miguel and Try Again or Team Kick that Bastard to the Curb? Let me know down below! 😁

I thought I'd do a little FAQ regarding the story, and also answer a few extraneous questions I received.

So, here we go!

First Question: Why did Miguel cheat?

Simple. Miguel cheated because he was weak.

...

Nah, I'm just playin'. Sorta.

Miguel cheated because, as was mentioned in the story, he was a coward and thought it was easier to run and seek comfort in the arms of someone who fed his ego and fed into the illusion he'd created about what true heroism is, than to try and actually talk it out with the one who truly held his heart.

Of course, I am by no means attempting to justify Miguel's behavior in saying this, but I will say that he was under a great deal of pressure trying to maintain the situation with the multiverse and had resolved himself to sacrificing whatever in order to keep it intact. (He also felt he was under pressure by the reader to have children, and though he wasn't opposed to the idea in the sense that he didn't want any, he didn't think it was safe enough to have them.)

When the reader naturally A.) couldn't comprehend why he was so willing to do something so comparatively extreme and B.) subsequently was against it, Miguel saw this as selfishness, and his tired mind sought out someone who he could relate more easily to.

The more time he spent with Layla, he naturally spent less time with the reader, and subsequently wasn't getting his carnal needs met because when he did spend time with the reader, the atmosphere was tense and they would argue. This eventually lead to him sleeping with Layla, to sate his sexual desires and take out his frustration in a way he couldn't with the reader.

Did that all make sense? 🙃

Second Question: Why did Miguel kill Layla?

Though this was explained briefly in the story, I realize that it might have been a little unclear, and that quite a few details were omitted. In short, Layla was a threat. She threatened to expose Miguel's affair to the other members of the Spider Society, none of whom had any knowledge of Layla's existence. If she'd exposed not only his affair, but the fact that he was harboring an anomaly from a different timeline without making the other society members aware, they very likely would have turned on him and he'd have lost his credibility and support. He couldn't have that, and so he dealt with Layla as his instincts dictated.

Third Question: What was the reader's plan?

The reader's plan is simultaneously simple and a bit convoluted. The reader, having been negatively influenced by her bitterness about her situation and Miguel's actions, decided that she also wanted to have her cake and eat it to. She decided to play the long game, willingly getting pregnant because A.) she still wanted a baby and B.) she could use her pregnancy to manipulate Miguel.

She essentially gaslit, gatekept, girlbossed her way out of her situation with Miguel. 😂 Over the months leading up to her conversation with Peter B, she used subtle manipulation to get Miguel to do beneficial things for her, such as changing her lodgings so that she could mor easily explore the complex and look for ways to escape while simultaneously making sure he was none the wiser.

Fourth Question: Was Layla a Spiderwoman?

Short answer, yes. Layla was a Spiderwoman from a separate universe who had lost her family during the collapse of her timeline.

Fifth Question: Why did Miguel already have a room ready for the reader prior to her discovering his affair?

So, this might be a bit of a longer explanation. Essentially, Miguel was a yandere for the reader before she tried to leave him. I didn't go into too much detail about that (and I may do a little sequel-prequel talking about that in more depth 👀) but he only created the room once the affair began. He always feared that the reader would find out, and created the room as a precautionary measure.

(Oh wait, actually, this explanation was pretty short and straightforward...yay!)

Sixth Question: Did Miguel ever love Layla?

Short answer, no.

He was admittedly fond of her, but only because they shared a similar responsibility. He also felt pity for her, given that she had lost everything and was forced to abandon everything she knew.

Seventh Question: What was in the vial Miguel had in the lab in chapter 5?

Contrary to popular speculation, the drug in the vial was neither meant to make the reader addicted to Miguel nor was it meant to solely act as an aphrodisiac. The drug in the vial was actually meant to increase fertility exponentially, as Miguel's intention was to get the reader pregnant and make it so that she couldn't, and wouldn't want to, leave him.

💗This is a traditional soulmate aspect and I also think he’s my soulmate. We broke up because we were too young and our parents forced us to. Also, it was because he was moving to another city. If it had not been like that, I’m pretty sure that we would still be together to this day. He has also told me that he felt that we’re soulmates. I felt very comfortable with him most of the times and he just got me. He understood my feelings and I also could tell his feelings just by looking at him. Our energies also sometimes were mixed up. 💗I have seen in a post on tumblr (I don’t remember the original author sorry) that those people whose personal planets make square aspect to your north node may drag you down or delay you in some way. In other words, they may be the reason for delays and restrictions to get to your life purpose. His moon squares my north node and I had to process our break up for about a year because of his feelings and mine. I don’t know how to explain this but I felt emotionally stuck with him like I could not escape from my own emotions and I felt that he was the one responsible for it.

My Lilith conjuncts his Venus

💗It’s really interesting to see this pattern going on with me because there are 3 guys that I can never forget in my life and two of them have their Venus conjunct my Lilith. 💗This is also a same pattern because I was always heartbroken by guys who had their Venus in aspect with my chiron (not only opposition). People say that Venus conjunction chiron is a marriage aspect and it’s very healing but I got major traumas from a guy whose Venus conjunct my chiron so hmm umm excuse me!? Back to my ex, his Venus is in opposition with my chiron and it was not healing at all. AT ALL. He traumatized me. His parents traumatized me. His friends traumatized me. Honestly, it’s very complicated to explain but the reason why I got bullied and slut-shamed at school is because of him. But those experiences made me stronger and more mature. It brought me to where I am right now and that’s why I don’t regret it. It hurt me so much though. Like a sword in my heart.😔

💗So, I don’t have much to say about this aspect but I felt insecure with him at some times. Especially when it came to my daily activities and my appearance. I felt that I wasn’t pretty enough and I felt ashamed to mention what I did in my daily life. But this is not very personal because most guys from my class had their Saturn conjunct my ascendant as Saturn moves not so fast and those guys were at the same age with me. In a way, I felt insecure about my appearance with people who were at the same age with me.

💗I’m not very sure about this because I don’t know his birth time and the moon can differ from 1-10 degrees forward or backward depending on the birth time. But his moon is at 15 degrees (without birth time) and my ascendant is at 21 degrees, so it conjuncts as of now. I felt at ease with him as I mentioned earlier but I’m going to talk more about this aspect in my later post because his moon is in my 12th house and I have a lot to say about that. Even creepy and paranormal stuffs.🥶

His chiron conjuncts my descendant

💗I searched it up on Google and I saw that the chiron person is destined to give the descendant person a lesson in whatever ways and that is absolutely true. He brought lessons into my life and I’m really grateful for those and interestingly, back in those days, most guys in my class also had their chiron conjunct my descendant and they also brought me lessons and lessons and lessons. The whole class didn’t speak to me FYI. And also the whole school. That’s okay now because I realized that being alone doesn’t mean feeling lonely and you can feel lonely even though you’re going out with friends if you’re not in the right circle.

Anyways, I had to write this out because my heart was crying out for him so much and the only thing I can do at this time is writing this and recalling some sweet memories we shared. I have a love-hate relationship with him and currently, I miss him so much and wanna talk to him but I can’t. I wanna g we back with him kinda but as my friend said, there was a reason why I broke up with him and why I blocked him on social media so I shouldn’t go back.

someone else on here suggested the idea of a Bro zone story where Branch gets turned back into a little Kid and the Brothers consider the idea of leaving him like that and starting again and I just wanna talk about this idea a little more.

like imagine it as an episode of a Tv show or something yeah I know its probably a bit too heavy and serous but hey its fun to imagine lol.

cause this idea has some sweet emotional potential like for whatever reason Branch is somehow magically turned back into a little kid and he's lost pretty much all of his life memories.

so he's well and truly naïve innocent and carefree again and Despite them eventually figuring out a way to turn him back to normal there's a bit of a divide as to Wether they should.

maybe early on in the episode Branch has a big argument with his Brothers yet again probably due to one of his paranoid or overcautious tendencies annoying them so much finally causing them to call him out on it.

and Branch hits back at him only being this way in part because of them because he had to be to make himself feel safe and have piece of mind since he had no one else and he storms off into the woods.

which is where he gets affected by something that transforms him back into a child with no memories.

I imagine JD would be the first one to suggest the idea of leaving him this way as in a way it'd give him a chance to fix one of his biggest mistakes.

as they could stick around and be there for Branch growing up like they weren't before and he could get a chance at a normal childhood without the Burden of Grandma's death traumatising him throughout his life.

not 100 percent sure about the other's reactions I feel Floyd would be against it at first feeling it isn't their place to make such a life changing choice for him.

but who knows maybe he'd be Tempted after JD guilts him over his broken promise.

maybe Clay would also be against it but Bruce to everyone's surprise actually sides with JD secretly showing a bit of deeper guilt over the whole thing.

being a parent himself and thinking no one should have to grow up that quickly by themselves and thinking of it as if it were one of his children and how he wouldn't want that for them.

so yeah it leads to a nice bit of Drama between the brothers btw I wouldn't have poppy involved in this story as its obvious what she'd choose and I kinda feel like she wouldn't even allow a Debate as far as this is concerned.

given she loves Branch and likely wouldn't even entertain the idea of permanently changing him from the man she's with currently.

anyway in the end of the story obviously the Bros do change him back after tearfully saying a final goodbye to the young innocent Branch who they hadn't seen in decades and who they'll never see again.

with Grown up Branch not having any Memory of anything that happened and the episode ends with maybe something like all the Bros sat around having dinner.

and one of the Bros out of somber curiosity asks Branch if he ever thought about changing the past so things could have been different for him.

but Branch actually kinda surprises them by saying that he has thought about it but he realises that just isn't the way life is meant to work ultimately your experiences do help shape who you are.

and he doesn't think its really helpful to look back on the past at least not anymore given the amount of time he used to spend doing that and he just thinks its better to accept the past and make the best of the present.

making his bros all hug him while sobbing in an over the top way because of how wise their baby bro grew up to be while Branch is just confused as to what is happening 😂😂😂😂

like I said I feel there's some very cute emotional potential with this little story idea.

Hi! I wanted to know your opinion of Jacaerys. I always see that Team Black believes that he would have been a good king and it is also mentioned in the text, I, on the other hand, like to analyze what I read and draw my own conclusions. This guy's decisions were largely...bullshit. The first one that comes to my mind is the idea of riding their dragons and not sending ravens because then everyone would know they were "Targaryens" because only Targaryens ride dragons...then he proceeds to propose the idea of dragon seeds with bastards who haven't lived with his privilege claiming and riding dragons...and we already saw how it turned out. He also seems to me to be a very bad negotiator since to get support or maintain it he had to make quite important concessions and promises. The idea of sending away their little half-brothers who are not old enough to defend themselves and who only have little Stormcloud, when Rhaena and Joffrey were perfectly fine in the Vale does not seem logical to me. I always see that he died trying to save his half-brothers but this is not mentioned anywhere, Vermax decided to fly low...yes, but at no time is it mentioned that it was to rescue Viserys, I have read this fragment in the books that talk of the subject, not only fire and blood and it does not appear, I don't know if the source is this video that appeared on YouTube years ago where the Strong Boys had Valyrian traits 😂 there we see the credibility. They also say that he saved Aegon but the truth is that he was saved by his dragon... who did not allow himself to die until he was safe in Dragonstone, this decision did not have any positive impact on his half-brothers, rather it condemned them, Aegon to live with the guilt that did not belong to him and Viserys to be married at the age of 12...after spending years kidnapped.

Then there is the issue of Driftmark, something tells me that the legitimization of Addam and Alyn and consequently setting aside Joffrey as heir to House Velaryon was Corlys' condition to maintain his support, the people of team black usually say that this is so because Joffrey couldn't inherit the throne and also Driftmark (😂 sure, Corlys would be very upset if he was really his grandson) but Jacaerys was also alive when this agreement was reached. In short, I do not see brilliance or political cunning anywhere, besides the fact that with his condition as a bastard he should not have rights to the throne, but in his case no one speaks of usurpation to his half-brothers Aegon and Viserys, to Alicent's children and even Daemon's daughters, who had more inheritance rights than him and his two brothers, in the end his claim was based on a very very bad lie.

The dance is very poorly written, the truth is that this fact should have had more impact, I understand that they were going to die and George did not worry, but that Rhaenyra continued to be heir and retain so many supports being a woman with three very obvious bastards in a feudal society....It doesn't seem credible to me at all.

They give the example of English Anarchy but the truth is that it has nothing to do with it. Matilda had no siblings and it was a cousin, son of her father's sister, who claimed the throne. She also had no bastards, she had no children from her first marriage, in fact in the end it was her legitimate son, who she had with her second husband, who ended up on the throne and she fought more for his claim than for hers. It is not as similar as Team black points out, there are quite a few differences, Matilda and Rhaenyra are not the same.

As much as I am a team green supporter, I never really hated Jace that much. My only real issue with him was him bringing the knife when Baela end Rhaena said that they’re going after Aemond. That’s it. He was never as awful as Luke, but he wasn’t that likable either tbh.

Imo we simply never got to know Jace well enough to say whether or not he would’ve been a good king. There is pretty much no evidence to suggest that he would. He might’ve been a good brother and a good son but that wouldn’t automatically make him a good ruler.

I think people are just mainly saying this because he is Rhaenyra’s firstborn and they are gaslighting themselves into thinking that Jace would’ve been a great king and so it’s a win for Rhaenyra when in reality we can’t say for sure. As you said, he did make some questionable decisions throughout the story. He was still pretty young, so he could’ve either matured into a wise and just king, or power and ambition could’ve corrupted him.

I think Rhaenyra’s bastards, and Jace mainly, are interesting only because they died in horrible ways. As soon as they were born (outside of marriage), they were doomed. And that’s their whole personality unfortunately. They have nothing interesting to offer other than being Rhaenyra’s doomed bastards. And Jace is just that.

And if we’re being honest, I don’t think the realm would’ve accepted him as a king. The rumors were there and people were talking. Sooo….. idk.

And you are absolutely right about Matilda!!! Her situation is entirely different from Rhaenyra’s in pretty much every way:

a) a cousin via aunt is not the same thing as half-brother via same father-king

b) Matilda didn’t have any other siblings whatsoever and was named heir because she had none, Rhaenyra did have three male siblings

c) Matilda didn’t have any illegitimate children

d) Matilda didn’t marry her uncle

e) Matilda didn’t try stealing her husband’s nieces’ inheritance

I can definitely see the inspo but it’s just not the same thing on so many levels

- The mornings are nice the older you two get, your chairs next to each other as you read the paper and you feel Jacob's eyes on you, admiring you, studying you, enjoying the fact that you were finally his and his alone. Then he'd grab your hand and tenderly rub his thumb on top of your knuckles before he sits up to kiss your cheek. When you were younger, he would've had to grab you by chin to keep you from moving away but instead you stay still and turn to give him a peck on the cheek which makes him hum in delight.

Well Dracarions held more regard to blood, and the Montagues are a minor house of Barakon that has some of dragon blood in them, besides being almost extinct with Lady Heleyna being the only heir to her house. Besides the crown has never been a fan of giving too much power to the great houses, so in it being MC they think it would keep them content and safe at the same time, but be sure there's a scheme behind it all.

That was the original plan from her family, but let's say she was quite young for that time as the Montagues daughter already was in mind for future Queen. Now Drystan was also in mind but he kind of has an incident that let's just say it hrts a little his reputation, so in MC being married to the Parovus they hoped to "help" MC to get to the throne discretely as in maybe getting as far as to murder to make that happen, now don't think the Lavones don't think of this as well...

Can I ask your opinion? There is one YouTuber who is lives Spain and USA and he sounds quite basic. Thing that makes me think is that he says that ottoman and Arab slavers weren't as bad as Atlantic slave trade. Reason for that was because slaves can earn their freedom and their children weren't slaves and after they get free they lived part of society etc. He says that best way to find information treatment of slaves is people who own them. What is your opinion of this? Like I know how Balkans they tattooed girls to keep the safe and captured young boys were convert to islam and rise soldiers.

I'm sure they will be very reflective of the truth, right? 😂😂 It's all "please look at the perspective of the slaves!" until the slaves are European, apparently.

I think this whole discussion of "Arab slavery wasn't that bad" is a way to minimize an extremely wide and despicable slave trade that lasted for more than A THOUSAND YEARS (and still hasn't ended). In comparison, slavery in America lasted from the 17th to the 19th century. (400 years if we are generous)

Also, I'm sure they would change their tune once they learned that "Brown" and "Black" people too were taken as slaves in this slave-trade. Especially "Black" people were taken a lot and in rural areas they were forced to work in the hardest of conditions, often not living more than 5 years.

I will link videos below that mention all the countries where slaves were taken from, reviewed by Black African women. But I will focus here on Europe because that's what USians have in mind when they say "it wasn't that bad".

Whole villages were taken. Villages. For centuries on end. The sheer amount of people who were taken is scary. We are talking about large populations that changed the genetic makeup of certain areas. And we have veeery few accounts of these people earning their freedom. Just because they legally could, it doesn't mean their "masters" let them.

Families were separated. They were killed when they were trying to escape. They could be beaten and lashed at any moment, for any minor inconvenience they created for their "lord". Yes, there were house slaves, too, like in transatlantic slavery, but they were also made to work under extreme conditions (e.g. extreme heat). They were working in plantations and in mining, things that the free people wouldn't do themselves.

They were castrated. They were raped and often carried the child of their rapists. Through these rapes, many children were born and mothers tried to hush this fact and hide it from future generations. Being seen as an "exotic commodity" isn't the flex these people think it is. Being a "white breeding mare" the pirates went all the way to Norway to capture, isn't a flex.

A White woman cost higher than a Black woman (racial discrimination against Black people that spread in other areas too) but that meant that European women were hunted down intensely and they had almost no chance of escaping captivity through ransom. It was more profitable to be sold, than to be returned with a ransom paid by their families or foreign countries. Arabs "preferred" non-Black slaves, and so many non-Black slaves were taken for many centuries. A double-edged sword, because you don't exactly want a slaver to "prefer" your "race" for any reason.

And if you think that highly sought enslaved women in the "entertainment" industry weren't frequently abused or raped, you can look at the abuse numbers of free women in the entertainment industry today...

People born from rape during slavery were much more than we think. Having to "ruin yourself" with tattoos (according to your tradition) and raise your child as another gender, speaks volumes of the lengths people went to avoid a very frequent phenomenon. The Greek revolution against the Ottomans clearly stated "we don't want to be taken as slaves anymore! We prefer one hour of freedom over 40 years of slavery!" In many cases, the slaves were outright called "chattel"!

Taking the male population as children is also looked by the outsiders as "good" because "they lived in good conditions and they were educated" but please go tell that to the mothers who never saw their children again. These children were also stripped of their culture and religion and language, and were often employed to oppress and kill their own people. Many Balkan countries have songs about this phenomenon.

This slave-trade was totally legal and acceptable within the Ottoman and Arab empires but it was also pirating activity that supplied the slave traders. It was mostly the Beber nations but many Africans, and West Asians and Arabs in the Arab peninsula benefited from it. They often took part in the "stealing people" operations. For example, the most exposure to Black people Greeks had was when they saw them as pirates in Arab ships. That's why the slur for a Black person in Greece historically is basically "Arab".

Europeans were building WALLS toward the sea to prevent these attacks. (Ironically, some were built by the same government that took their subjects as slaves) Thessaloniki had these walls, for example. Like, I'm not sure if the USians who often compare the slave trades ever thought of having a wall towards the sea as a normal thing. Some European nations still have sayings like "there are no Moors at the coast" as another way to say "all is safe". That's how much the trauma has stuck.

In the video linked below, there's also mentioned a revolt towards an Ottoman leader because "why won't you let us have slaves from Europe??" Does this conflict ring a bell, fellow US-ian friends? 😂

European nations and the US had created TREATIES with African states (which didn't stop the attacks in many cases) as an effort to basically say "ok, stop taking our people! we will pay you!" The amounts paid were extravagant but they were still small in comparison to how many people (and profit lol) would be lost otherwise.

There were a few cases where a slave could free themselves in the Arab slave trade but this was the case in the American slave trade too! Legally slaves in the Americas could be freed if their master wanted it, if they paid off their master, or if they were illegally enslaved. They could also have court cases to win their freedom, or serve in the military in exchange for freedom. Some were allowed to have side businesses and earn their own money (and eventually pay for their freedom).

We know there were such cases but, as I mentioned above, just because it is the law, it doesn't mean that it happened a lot.

An American would tell you "noo! Despite some legal protections it was still horrible!" and I'm asking, why don't you say this for the millions and millions of slaves in the Arab slave trade when it comes to laws VS actual treatment?

"their children (the children of slaves) weren't slaves". The recorded history shows that they usually were slaves, though. A minority, if lucky enough, could gain freedom while being born a slave. But slaves were often lumped together in certain areas so they had children with other slaves. And even children by free men often were considered slaves, unless the free male master decided to recognize them.

Just because it isn't Louisiana weather and just because the slaves (usually) didn't die on the way to their destination, it doesn't make it less atrocious. There was a reason our traditions speak of people killing themselves before they could get captured into slavery.

Like a gay Greek man said the other day "we are not supposed to be thankful just because you're not dragging us on the streets and stoning us". The laws saying "Provide shelter, and healthcare and don't mistreat your slaves" doesn't mean this was followed. "Shelter" could be a dirty shed. "Medical attention" could be splashing some water on the wounds from the lashing. "Don't overwork them" could be "I work them too much but not to death, so it doesn't count."

The video speaks more about the white slave-trade of US people but it's good to note how this looks "mild" (for lack of a better word) to what was happening in Europe. I'm not saying this as "these slaves had it better compared to the European ones". No. I'm simply saying that the danger and frequency were much larger for European people, mainly those who lived in coastal nations.

I wanted to know your opinion of Jacaerys. I always see that Team Black believes that he would have been a good king and it is also mentioned in the text, I, on the other hand, like to analyze what I read and draw my own conclusions. This guy's decisions were largely...bullshit. The first one that comes to my mind is the idea of riding their dragons and not sending ravens because then everyone would know they were "Targaryens" because only Targaryens ride dragons (he sounds like a self-conscious person if you ask me)...then he proceeds to propose the idea of dragon seeds with bastards XD who haven't lived with his privilege claiming and riding dragons...and we already saw how it turned out.

He also seems to me to be a very bad negotiator since to get support or maintain it he had to make quite important concessions and promises. The idea of sending away their little half-brothers who are not old enough to defend themselves and who only have little Stormcloud, when Rhaena and Joffrey were perfectly fine in the Vale does not seem logical to me.

I always see that he died trying to save his half-brothers but this is not mentioned anywhere, Vermax decided to fly low...yes, but at no time is it mentioned that it was to rescue Viserys, I have read this fragment in the books that talk of the subject, not only fire and blood and it does not appear, I don't know if the source is this video that appeared on YouTube years ago where the Strong Boys had Valyrian traits 😂 there we see the credibility. They also say that he saved Aegon but the truth is that he was saved by his dragon... who did not allow himself to die until he was safe in Dragonstone, this decision did not have any positive impact on his half-brothers, rather it condemned them, Aegon to live with the guilt that did not belong to him and Viserys to be married at the age of 12...after spending years kidnapped.

In short, I do not see brilliance or political cunning anywhere, besides the fact that with his situation as a bastard he should not have rights to the throne, but in his case no one speaks of usurpation to his half- brothers Aegon and Viserys, to Alicent's children, and to Daemon's daughters,in the end their claim was based on a very very bad lie. The dance is very poorly written, the truth is that this fact should have had more impact, I understand that they were going to die and George did not worry, but that Rhaenyra continued to be heir and retain so many supports being a woman with three very obvious bastards in a feudal society....It doesn't seem credible to me at all. They give the example of English Anarchy but the truth is that it has nothing to do with it. Matilda had no siblings and it was a cousin, son of her father's sister, who claimed the throne. She also had no bastards, she had no children from her first marriage, in fact in the end it was her legitimate son, who she had with her second husband, who ended up on the throne and she fought more for his claim than for hers. It is not as similar as Team black points out, there are quite a few differences, Matilda and Rhaenyra are not the same, Rhaenyra was very selfish, and looked out primarily for her own good. Team Black sells you that she is the best mother in the world, but the truth is that she held a party for the appointment of Joffrey as her heir when she had already lost a lot of children and she used her last words to curse, without worrying about what they could do with her son, any mother would have asked for clamency...she was too proud for that. Helaena, on the other hand, is constantly criticized by them, but this woman offered her life in exchange for that of her children and they criticize her for becoming depressed after what happened to her.

well, first of all it's important to mention that jace is like 15-17 during the time of the dance. he's a teenager. so we shouldn't be so hard on him for making bad decisions. i think the kid's got his heart in the right place lol

he wants to prove himself. especially because he knows he's illegitimate. he wants to make up for that in skill. but what i find interesting about his character is that every time someone brings out the "bastard" allegations his immediate response is violence. we see that in driftmark when he pulls a knife on aemond, and after the "strong" speech he lunges at aemond - not a great sign for the future king if you ask me. because the bastard allegations will always be there. so while i do think all things consider he's a good kid - it's obvs that he can't handle people calling a bastard. he explodes.

wrt to his death, i think he died from an arrow? his suggestion to send the boys away was actually smart (especially after b&c) but unfortunately they were attacked. did he try to reach his brothers? i honestly don't remember, but that's in-character for him. since, again, he's a good guy. (prob why i can't get into his character. sorry jace you're too normal)

corlys and rhaenyra's alliance was ruined after rhaenys's death.

and yeah the dance doesn't make sense lol and wrt to rhaenyra's motherhood, well, i think she loves her kids and tries her best. i think that she prob thought that aegon was going to kill aegon the younger no matter what. especially considering how daemon killed jaehaerys and she killed maelor. and rhaenyra's rhaenyra. she wasn't going to beg no matter what haha she's a good mother IMO.

Hey! Do you have any Jaehaera & Maelor headcanons?

I might as well have given birth to these kids myself, tbh 😂 Yep, of course. I'll separate this into two parts for Jaehaera and Maelor. (this is a very long post lol sorry) Jaehaera Targaryen Headcanons

To begin with, and this is not specifically my headcanon, I just kind of adopted it - Jaehaera is not exactly 'simple' despite showing attributes that may indicate it, she's hard of hearing. She has trouble following conversations/teachings and does not react much to things because she does not hear them to be alerted. Much of her struggles come from this issue going undetected.

That being said, she has her twin - Jaehaerys is louder than she will ever be and always stands close to whisper and clarify things straight to her ear. They have an almost symbiotic relationship for siblings - he fills her in on what she cannot hear and she keeps her hand [with the extra digit] locked under hers to reassure him and keep it hidden whenever he's embarrassed about it.

Jaehaera finds it the most comfortable among her dolls as a child because dolls cannot chide or rebuke her for not understanding a situation immediately. When Maelor is born, she puts so many dolls in his cradle (many of them formerly hers) so he'll feel safe too.

Helaena taught her to embroider well, and that is the 'womanly' activity that Jaehaera is most adept in and learns to express herself with. She also uses embroidery as an isolation activity when the war begins and all hell breaks loose. It's not true, but in her mind, if she keeps threading the threads and acts busy no one would bother her.

Her dragon, Morghul, is one of the most seemingly ill-fitting dragons for her personality. He is entirely black with razor teeth and red eyes and he looks terrifying even as a hatchling, but he's is very gentle with Jaehaera. She hugs him as if he is one of her dolls.

Jaehaera is generally not easily spooked. Her lack of reaction to things is also just her not believing something is out to get her until it's actually out to get her, as seen with Morghul.

She craves/asks for attention in a subtle way, because she doesn't really know how to verbalize it. An example would be something I wrote about actually - if Aegon II says he likes the color gold, she wears the color gold, because she wants her father's attention. This is really most prominent with her father because he's more absent and she doesn't know how to get his attention.

Some of her kittens from after the war is over are named after her dead family members. Rys, Mel, Mond [Jaehaerys, Maelor, Aemond]. Only subtle enough so people in the Keep wouldn't begrudge her for it. (She calls Helaena and Aegon Mother and Father - sadly that's too on the nose). She could name dolls after them, but even for her the dolls are too lifeless for that not to hurt. Maelor Targaryen Headcanons

Maelor came about in a period of some reconciliation between Helaena and Aegon II. (speaking in relative terms - I can get into it but it'll take me an hour) The birth of the twins was kind of traumatizing (Helaena was 14 giving birth to twins in medieval times, I cannot see it not being rough... this needs a oneshot smh) and both of them struggled to cope with how it all ended up. Aegon tries around 126 AC to be more present in the family in some kind of a regret spurt. When Maelor is born the birth is easier, and the fact he has no defects nor any issues is immense for both Helaena and Aegon. He is somewhat dotted upon for being both the youngest and being such a relief.

He is the absolute loudest of the three children, sobs the loudest and insists on attention the most - because he also got a bit more attention from Aegon and Helaena as a baby. He's just a clingy baby, there's no rhyme or reason for it.

When he cannot cling to Aegon or Helaena, he clings to Jaehaerys and Jaehaera as substitutes. Jaehaerys takes it up with stride and together both become absolute menaces Jaehaera has to caution all the time.

He's the type of baby that questions everything. You tell him something? "Why?" you explain it? "But why?" you try to again "But...!" he's really curious, if you tell him something you can't escape it without two hours of interrogation. Alicent often jokes/says he should go to Oldtown one day, to learn at the Citadel.

Maelor's birth's feast was the first feast Daeron has attended in KL since he left for Oldtown. Daeron also had him on his hands for almost his entire stay, answering his little questions earnestly.

After Blood and Cheese, he becomes the exact opposite - almost entirely silent, to the point Jaehaera has to goad him to talk. When he is spirited away, Ser Rickard Thorne promises to Alicent they'll reach Oldtown and he'll help Maelor learn to speak and question everything in a lively way once more. But.. canon must canon, sadly.

ATEEZ - How they confessed to you

I'm cheezy and single. Be quiet. 😂

THIS IS MEANT PURELY FOR ENTERTAINMENT PURPOSES AND IS NOT MEANT TO REPRESENT NOR SLANDER ATEEZ NOR IT'S MEMBERS IN ANY WAY.

SEONGHWA

You and Seonghwa were already pretty close. Not best friends close but you both judged the other members together.

For the past week Seonghwa had tried speaking to you more and agreeing to come with you guys to places.

This was because he realised he had feelings for you and wanted to spend more time with you so he made extra effort to do just that.

Not that you noticed. You were oblivious.

Yunho and Wooyoung on the other hand would tease him, threaten to tell and (aggressively yet super supportively) encourage him to talk to you more - all at the same time.

Yunho and Wooyoung were actually getting tired of waiting so they took matters into their own hands. (He would have confessed eventually and you guys would have your happily ever after but this was just much faster let's be real here.)

They invited you out, lied saying the other members didn't wanna come but they hadn't asked Seonghwa yet.

So when you asked him he knew what they were up to but at the same time it was kinda perfect.

At some point on the way to the movie theatre Yunho and Wooyoung shared a glance and magically both needed the bathroom, speeding off to leave you two alone, giggling like children when they were hidden from view and watched you guys praying Seonghwa would confess.

You both laughed at their weirdness.

Seonghwa decided to make use of this opportunity even though his heart was trying to break his ribs.

He was soft spoken and sincere as could be.

He turned to face you and took your hands in his as he confessed.

"W-well since they're gone I think now might be as good a time as any to say… I really… really like you Y/N…"

HONGJOONG

You and Hongjoong both worked as musicians. Whereas he was an idol you were a solo artist (without a company - you got famous yourself. Fuck the system.).

ATEEZ was essentially a whole fan club just for you and Hongjoong contacted you so you could collab with ATEEZ.

You got close with the whole group VERY quickly and were all best friends almost instantaneously.

Now I see this playing out in two ways actually:

01 - While you guys were working on the instrumental together you went ahead and ordered takeout for the two of you, while you guys took a break to eat he confessed to you and he ended up kissing you when you said you feel the same.

02 - After the song had been released it did SO well and you two were so proud you both celebrated by drinking together where he then confessed to you and you ended up in a slow yet sweet make out session you when you said you feel the same.

"Y/N… I genuinely hope you don't see this as me fanboying because… honestly since we met you my feelings have just gotten stronger… I-I just really, really like you…"

YUNHO

You and Yunho became good friends REALLY quickly.

Whenever you visited there was a 90% chance you would end up cuddling a member and there was a 99.9% chance that member was gonna be Yunho even if he had to tear you from Wooyoung and/or San's arms himself.

You both found that the insane height difference made the other the perfect cuddle partner and you would end up talking about anything and everything while his figure wrapped around you like a cute, tall blanket.

It's been months now and Yunho has developed feelings for you but since he's always so emotional, clingy and loving you don't notice it.

Surprisingly you don't notice how strange it is that when you guys are outside he insists on staying behind you because he wants to make sure you're safe, or how he touches you more - for instance by softly grabbing your hand when he wants you to come with him to see something and you never noticed how he stares at you so lovingly in your guys' reflection when he cuddles you and you ramble on about something.

One such night you had both talked yourself out and were just enjoying the calm, quiet atmosphere.

The warm and kind of dim light, his soft heartbeat against your ear and his calming breathing as his strong arms kept you in a safe and warm embrace.

He was the one to break the silence.

"Y/N… do you like me?"

YEOSANG

You loved skating but didn't really try to learn anything beyond not falling off and rounding a corner.

But when you and Yeosang bonded over skateboarding he really wanted to teach you tricks on the board. So now you guys went out almost everyday to skate and you learnt a bunch of tricks.

You decided to just watch him skate as you were pretty tired but still wanted to hang out with him.

Nothing actually went wrong-wrong; he just stepped to push himself further but his ankle did that thing ankles do sometimes where for a split second they cave underneath you.

He managed to not fall off but got off the board and had to hop on his right foot to you and sit next to you.

He was sucking in breaths at the pain and you touched his shoulder with your left hand and his ankle with the other.

You explained since you have the coldest hands on the planet that could help a bit with the pain so you wrapped both your hands around his ankle.

You looked up at him to see if it eased the pain but he was just staring at you with a somewhat worried expression.

He confessed to you and after you said you felt the same he slowly leaned in and captured your lips in a soft, sweet, loving kiss.

"Y/N you're so incredible… I'm sorry but I want to say it now before I try to postpone it for a better time or just don't have the guts anymore but I really like you… I like you so so so much and I've had absolutely no idea how to tell you and it's been like three weeks."

SAN

Somebody kept leaving you cute notes to find.

They were addressed to you but it never said who wrote them.

They would be on your desk (so when you enter your room there's a green sticky note complimenting your outfit), on your laptop screen (so when you opened your laptop there'd be a lil' yellow sticky note telling you how talented you are), on your travel mug (it already had coffee in it ready for you to take to work and the pink sticky note wished you a great day and told you you're cute).

One day you saw San hunched over writing on something.

You could see his profile and he had such an adorable smile on his face as he wrote that you were curious what he was writing (and subconsciously wondered if he was the culprit).

You hid from view but could still see him and saw him place a pink sticky note on the oven (the members convinced you to make them food because there was one dish you made that they went crazy over so he knew you were gonna use the oven soon).

One day he was surprised to find a light purple sticky note on his phone telling him there was a stash of chocolate in the back of the fridge just for him.

His smile was so wide it hurt his cheeks.

And it made eating the chocolates very diffcult.

You guys continued with this game (occasionally addressing the note to the other using a dumb nickname for no reason like "Dimples", "Chef", "Wooyoung's bf", "I forgot", "The rat under the sink") until finally he left a note you had both been waiting for.

"To: my cute sticker buddy I really, really like you. Do you wanna go out sometime? :>"

MINGI

Even I don't know what you two were doing in the kitchen and I'm the one (in my zone) writing this.

Like… you guys were SUPPOSED to be making a cake but all you were MAKING was a MESS.

There was flour, EVERYWHERE.

The sugar almost got knocked over…

…and then it did get knocked over (it was a small bag thank goodness).

You both ate almost (almost) all the strawberries and both had some fucking K-Drama moments where someone had whipped cream on their face (because of course you two were ALSO eating the whipped cream) and the other wiped it off with their finger and licked it.

And then whoever did that immediately tried to distract the other by throwing more flour at them.

Finally you both managed to calm down and you got to work on the batter while he put away what you had already used.

You were asking him to bring back another ingredient because you needed more but when you turned around he was right behind you and his face was level with yours.

You were both quiet for a bit but the moment you briefly glanced at his lips he took note and kissed you immediately.

After that you paused before falling into a short-lived but intense make out session.

You both naturally stopped and he smiled against your lips.

"So… I don't know if you've noticed - cuz I hide it so well, but I kinda like you…"

WOOYOUNG

You and Wooyoung were besties.

He was always flirting with you but you didn't know it was a half-joke.

You didn't know that at the beginning of this month he was dealing with the sudden realisation that he was HEAD OVER HEELS FOR YOU.

Oh my GOD he just wanted to snuggle and kiss and love you and tease and tickle you and make you food and hug you and take you on dates and make you more food and hug and kiss you even more and the realisation hit him like a damn freight train.

He was both more annoying and teasing and more gentle and caring at the same time.

Like he would prank you here and there and make flirtatious jokes but he would also wake you up with coffee and when you were crying would hold you and get serious and was genuinely worried and would get angry if it was some person who made you feel this way.

One day while he was teasing/flirting with you (as usual) he made a comment that seemed just a LITTLE obvious.

He got really flustered.

Like REALLY really flustered.

Like he stopped mid sentence, his eyes slowly got wider and he was still sassily leaning on his leg except now it was an awkward stance because ALL of that confidence just abandoned him immediately.

Mumbled he has feelings for you.

Ran away immediately after.

Later that day when you saw him come out of his room and you guys made eye contact he let out an embarrassed laugh and approached you.

"So… Uhm… like I said, uhh I like you but like I really really like you… so I was wondering if maybe~~ you wanted to go out with me?"

JONGHO

You and Jongho were hanging out a lot and got pretty close.

He realised he had a crush on you and slowly tried to show it.

Like he'd hug you from behind, send pics of himself at the gym after working out, save some food or coffee for you instead of eating or drinking it himself.

One night he had a nightmare that Wooyoung kissed you in front of him to spite him for not making a move earlier.

He woke up in a cold sweat with his heart racing and when he realised it was a dream he was relieved to know he hadn't lost you.

However Wooyoung in real life did know about his crush, so that morning he asked you to walk with him to a coffee shop.

On your way back home from the coffee shop he confessed.

But like he just suddenly blurted it out to rip off the bandaid.

"I like you. . . . Uh… hehe. I~ like you a lot. Uhm I wanted to know if you maybe wanted to… do something… at some point… together… with me?"

⭑ He’s very hands-on. Changing nappies, taking the babe to family members - he wants to make sure you and the baby are safe.

⭑ Guinevere helps with the child a lot. Baby-sitting, or simply being around you a lot. Having another person just... there ... eases the stress.

"I don't understand why Alicent didn't accept Rhaenyra's apology in ep6 but did in ep8

The apology in ep6 felt way more sincere to me and happened before Rhaenyra had done anything that bad. I mean the worst thing she had done at that point to Alicent was getting her father fired (which Alicent was more than prepared to forgive her for as we see at the beginning of ep5) and sleep with Cole (Alicent doesn't even know that Rhaenyra lied to her about going to a brothel with Daemon). But then in ep7 Rhaenyra's son takes out Aemond'e eye and Rhaenyra shows zero empathy and even asks him to be "sharply questioned" while he's sitting there bleeding from a hole in his eyes. She insults Alicent. She then lets Alicent believed she murdered Laenor to strike fear in her and marries a man who hates her father and is known to be dangerous. Then in ep8 her husband brutally murders Vaemond (who is also supposed to be part of his family) without a trial for saying the exact same thing that Alicent, Aemond and Aegon have said out loud. Rhaenyra's "apology" in ep8 doesn't contain any mention of Aemond (does she even know he's her brother?) or reassurance that she will keep Alicent's children safe (whereas in ep6 she proposed a marriage between Helaena and Jace, which I know can be seen as her taking Helaena hostage but it can be also be seen as a genuine effort to build a relationship between the families). Is it me or is this really stupid? Or maybe I'm missing something?"

My answer is, likely out if desperation. The plan to have Luke disinherited due to his bastardy ended up failing. That was meant to be the catalyst for keeping Rhaenyra off the throne.

It seems the original plan in episode 6 (iirc) was to sway Viserys into seeing reason and replacing Rhaenyra as heir. That didn’t work, either.

Now, Viserys is dying, the only man willing to say the truth in open court is dead, the walls are closing in and Alicent submits and admits defeat.

Then Viserys mumbles some incoherent stuff about Aegon and prophecy, which Alicent thinks he is referring to a prophecy he thought he had about having a son that would wear the conquerer’s crown.

Now she thinks she has the official green light from the king to do what she has wanted to do this whole time and allow Viserys eldest son to inherit. A lot of people don’t realize that it’s Rhaenyra that is taking Aegon’s birthright.

A birthright is something that is rightfully yours, just because you were born. Being born male, Aegon rightfully should be heir. Rhaenyra’s claim is “daddy said so”, not a birthright. She was named heir, not born heir like Aegon was assumed to be.

The master of laws was on board with Aegon being crowned king. The precedent had been set. It was that very precedent that allowed Viserys to rule to begin with. Daughters aren’t supposed to inherit before sons in this system. It’s bonkers chauvinistic, but it’s fantasy. No real people are being hurt.

TLDR: Alicent thought she lost the battle to get Rhaenyra’s claim renounced in episode 8, so she submitted and was going the “pray for mercy” route Otto suggested.
