Nah cause i feel like anything Alicent says is considered an offense towards Rhaenyra.
“It wasn’t so bad. I had an easy pregnancy and quick childbirth” Insensitive. How dare you have it better than Aemma.
“It was actually awful and very painful.” Insensitive. How dare you remind Rhaenyra of her trauma of losing her mother.
[not saying anything] Insensitive. Why are you keeping secrets, huh? Are you hiding something? What is it that you’re not telling us? She is further distancing herself from Rhaenyra, how dare she.

Anti Alicents: 😡🤬😤👹 SHE WAS PURE EVIL FOR THIS 👹
Me: I would hope that Aegon DID come quickly and without fuss???!?!? Considering that this is Alicent's first pregnancy and she's still a literal teenager???!? And that Aegon was the result of marital rape???!?! And that she did not choose this AT. ALL??!!? A quick and easy and not-traumatic birth is the LEAST that Alicent deserves?!!?!?!

⚠️⚠️SPOILERS FOR BANANA FISH⚠️⚠️
As a tragedy enjoyer, I don’t mind it when innocent people die in shows or whatever, but Ash’s death has always felt to stupid to me because it literally made no sense for him to die. Like, he got stabbed but instead of going to the fucking hospital he goes to some library to just… die? Literally why? He finally got his revenge. His enemies are dead. He has gained a (boy)friend. He has a chance to get a happy ending. But it’s almost as if he chooses not to have it? Why? Why can’t he enjoy life? He can literally move to Japan at any point, because Eiji invited him so he doesn’t have to worry about anything at all. Why the fuck does he give up on all of his progress to just fucking die for no reason??? It’s stupid. He doesn’t die a hero’s death, while saving Eiji or whatever. He doesn’t die by accident or anything. He doesn’t even die on the spot. He literally walks to the library instead of a hospital and chooses to die. It feels like bad writing to me. His death would’ve worked so much better if he was shot and then immediately died, or something like that. In that case he wouldn’t have had a choice.

R.I.P. Laena and Laenor, you guys deserved better than being married to this weird ass uncle-niece couple who get married immediately after your (+ alleged) deaths.
Laenor does not accept the Strong boys as his trueborn sons.
He admits it HIMSELF, but apparently everyone missed it.
Season 1. Episode 6.
Rhaenyra: “Dark rumors are hunting us Laenor. They nip at our heels. Questions about our son’s parentage. Vile, disgusting insinuations.”
Laenor: *scoffs* “Insinuates, are they?”
Rhaenyra: “They are our sons!”
Rhaenyra goes on about how their son’s “true father” won’t abandon them now. Laenor insists that he has played his part for the last ten years.
That sounds a lot more like Rhaenyra forcing him to play happy family in public and not him ‘accepting them as his own’. He admits he doesn’t think of them as his when he laughs at the idea that people are only insinuating they aren’t his. Even he knows how laughable the situation is. Rhaenyra then uses her station to prevent him from going to war and to stay by her side.
Y’all are aware that Rhaenyra is actually pretty abusive to Laenor, right? She isn’t above making snide homophobic remarks at him when he isn’t on her good side.
“Guzzling all the ale in flea bottom along with gods know what else” insinuates fellatio
“Wagging your sword around and winking at sailors” that’s just straight homophobic, imo. Double entendre for penis handling, and mocking him for flirting with men.
Forces him to play happy family.
Refuses to allow him to go fight like the knight he is.
That was all from a single scene, mind you! To add on, she expects him to be grateful because he has a lavish lifestyle.
Thing is… the Velaryons were one of the richest houses in the seven kingdoms. He already HAD all those things to begin with. So really, what does he even gain from this relationship? Seems like he gains ridicule from everyone that knows he is a cuckold and free berating from his wife over something he can’t even control.
Seriously, the more I watch this show, the worse I feel for Laena and Laenor. Both trapped in loveless marriages to a Targaryen that cheats on them. Oof.
(There is a deleted scene of Daemon flirting with a man while in Pentos. He was unfaithful to Laena, they chose not to show it. Hopefully because they realized what a bad look it was for two POC to be cheated on by light skinned blondes known for being obsessed with blood purity)

Okay, Alicent Hightower is not a self-insert. Self-inserts had much more agency than her.
She is a walking aesthetic, the one of the victim, the suffering woman who never complains, the one that is pretty when she cries, the Madonna in the Madonna-Whore Complex, despite being a terrible fucking mother. She is played by a conventionally attractive actress, she is suffering all the time but never does anything against those who abuse her, she lashes out against the other females (Rhaenyra) that she percieves as undeserving of what they have, or to her young children, but that doesn't matter because abusive women aren't even registered by the fandom.
So, not a self-insert, I honestly prefer the self-inserts.

“It was a hair net of fine-spun silver, the strands so thin and delicate the net seemed to weigh no more than a breath of air when Sansa took it in her fingers. Small gems were set wherever two strands crossed,”

"'Your Grace,' he said, 'you forget. I am a Snow, not a Stark.'
'It's you who are forgetting,' King Stannis replied.
Melisandre put a warm hand on Jon's arm. 'A king can remove the taint of bastardy with a stroke, Lord Snow'" (p. 1059, A Storm of Swords).
Once again, kings can legitimize bastards. Kings must do this as an official decree. They must recognize someone as a bastard and then name them as legitimate. But this is a relatively easy thing that the king can do within his own power.
So when people try to claim that the Strong boys are legitimate because their mother lied and said they were, and the king wouldn't speak the truth... Viserys could have legitimized Rhaenyra's sons at any point in their lives. He could have said these boys are not Laenor Velaryon's, but they are Rhaenyra Targaryens, and the blood of the dragon, and due to Targaryen exceptionalism, I hereby name them as legitimate inheritors. But that is not what he did. His complacency and willful blindness, coupled with Rhaenyra's sense of entitlement and superiority, meant that Viserys would never broach the issue with Rhaenyra, and Rhaenyra truly believed herself to be the exception to the rules and perfectly able to avoid the consequences of her actions due to her privilege and position.
Bastards can be legitimized, but since the Strong boys are bastards that were never legitimized, they remain bastards in the eyes of the law and society. One of them is set to inherit the highest of thrones in the realm and the other is set to steal the Velaryon seat of power from the Velaryons. It's wild that the show doesn't seem to acknowledge how much of a big deal this actually is.

as someone in the comments said, the second one is definitely “Alas!”
the first one in my opinion has to be satisfaction+cunty
i love the 😌 and 😔 emojis so much because they convey such specific emotions, but also those emotions are absolutely not "relieved" and "pensive"
