“you’re.. leaving for SOLDIER?”

you shouldn’t be shocked, that was the last thing you should have been since you had been the one to encourage his decision.

and yet.. why did it hurt? you had known that it would, it was only naturally — but not like this.

zack averted his stare from the star blanketed sky, smiling solemnly. “sure am. you helped me realize that becoming a hero is something that i should do — that the world needed my kind of help.. so that’s,” he paused, allowing the evening breeze to shift his dark bangs. “exactly what i gotta do.”

you fell into silence for a moment, pursing your lips together as you considered his words.

it had been your crush’s dream from young, since seeing sephiroth on propaganda and hearing of his endeavors, to become a hero. the life he’d led in gongaga was wonderful, peaceful.. but you knew, deep down, he’d wanted to make that name for himself. that zack was.. meant for greater things.

and you, torn between your feelings for him and the need to encourage him as his best friend.. had no choice but to put aside what you felt to urge him to embrace his dreams.

when he received no answer, the raven haired teen took it as a sign to continue, leaning back on his elbows. “as of now, you’re the only one i’ve told about my decision — cuz well.. as you know, my parents aren’t super chill with it.” he laughed out, shaking his head. “so i’m gonna leave tomorrow night. got everything packed up already, a letter ready for them to pass on and i’ll be good to go!”

“tomorrow night? so soon?” you nearly interrogated him, only to respond with a slow nod. “you have my word, don’t worry about it.” should you tell on your friend? would that keep him just a little while longer if his parents knew and prevented his departure? would he hate you for it and finally give you a reason to stop feeling this way about him?

no.. you couldn’t live with yourself if he had hated you. that was practically death served on a silver platter, your heart would never start again if zack had expressed contempt for you.

for a second, longing flashed in his eyes before he allowed himself to grin, patting your back gently. “you’re amazing y/n!! i knew i could count on you no matter what! i’ll be sure to bring you something real nice from the big city!! and that’s a promise!”

a smile that didn’t quite meet your gaze etched itself onto your lips as you let out a hum of agreement. “you’re the amazing one, zack. i’ll..” miss you. “..be holding you to that promise, so you better keep it.”

three years passed and no sign of zack. the promise stood, but remained unfulfilled.

you should have expected it, that becoming a SOLDIER meant never seeing him again. you knew he was alive, a letter would have come if he wasn’t, and his parents kept you posted thankfully.

yet, there was still an emptiness you felt in his absence. every year, you’d told yourself that perhaps maybe, he would come home to visit this time.

now, having turned eighteen, you had decided to leave the comfort of gongaga as zack once had, and journeyed to nibelheim — a village in the mountains. it was small, quaint as your hometown was, perhaps colder, but after being offered a job through your parents, it called to you.

your mother had been from nibelheim and met your father in midgar — who had left gongaga to pursue a career in research as she had.

despite their retirement, they had developed many connections.. one of which, had been in the mountain village.

when you pleaded to leave and join up with your friend in the city he’d left for, your parents had urged you not to, and were strict on it.. as though something had been terribly wrong there.

you’d never asked why they retired so early on, and just assumed they had wanted to settle since they’d made their money.

but it didn’t.. fully seem that way.

“didja hear y/n? there’s a group of SOLDIERS coming down here tonight. ahhh, i hope cloud is there — i haven’t seen him in years.” your companion and guide sighed out, pacing about idly as you jotted down notes on your observations of the terrain.

tifa had been a friend you’d made upon your arrival. she was a year younger, but a real go getter and great help on your expeditions. in the beginning you worried for her safety, stringing her along as you did — only for her to protect you from the perils you feared.

you’d have to ask if that mentor of hers was willing to show you a move or two on self defense.

“cloud, huh? is he in SOLDIER, too?” you had told the girl before you already about your old buddy, as there was no possible way of her exposing your feelings for him.

and honestly, it was comforting to confide in someone for a change.

she nodded eagerly at your question, smiling softly. “he should be, it was his dream to become a SOLDIER, like sephiroth — that’s what he told me one day before he left.. and he’d promised to always protect me, no matter what.”

your writing seemed to pause at her comment, head lowering as you willed yourself to chuckle despite your anguish. “is that so?” zack, as you recalled, had dreamt of the same. “well, i hope he comes home safe if he’s a part of that group.” you smiled a little, closing your notebook before standing up from your crouched position.

“that should be enough for today, thanks for coming along again — i think i’m almost there with reaching my conclusion on this strange increase in mako spillage on the landscape.. but i just- can’t seem to put my finger on it.” you muttered, knitting your brows together before casting a glance over at mt. nibel- the highest point of the area you had moved to. “whatever, they’re keeping in that reactor.. there’s something really off about it.”

the burgundy eyed female followed your gaze before humming absentmindedly. “yeah.. i’m hoping those guys coming today might know or at least clean up over there.. i’d hate to see what might happen if the pollution intensifies down here.” she answered softly, helping you up before looking ahead. “for now, let’s get back — it’s almost sundown.”

at the mention of the visitors on their way from midgar, your thoughts went to your old friend, but you reprimanded yourself quickly. you would not have hopes again — as they only ever existed to get shattered and turn into despair.

and yet.. that one percentage asking but what if, remained.

the sun had drowned into billowing clouds, a shade of golden casting over the scenery as you walked beside your friend, exhaustion creeping up on you. however, you reminded yourself that the descent was always easier than the ascent.

“and we’re back, thank you for taking the tifa express way~” your travel partner giggled, earning a smile in return from you. she always had a way of brightening the mood with her optimism. kind of like.. nevermind.

the brunette looked around when she found the villagers gathered in the centre, adjusting her hat with a pout. “did we just miss them? i didn’t think we would be this late..”

you copied her actions, letting out a sound of contemplation. “maybe they turned in, midgar is a long way from here.. i’m sure they wanted to just take things easy for the night and start off fresh tomorrow.”

tifa paused for a minute to think before letting out a sigh and nodding. “i guess you have a point — tomorrow, then.” she smiled again, holding out her thumb. “i’m gonna be their guide, i’ll make sure of it!”

you rolled your eyes in amusement before nudging her with your elbow. “whatever helps you sleep at night, tifa.. i’ll catch you in the morning, in that case. i still gotta sort some things with information i picked up today.” a trip to that mako reactor and your research might at last be complete. perhaps.. you could convince the group in bringing you along- especially if your friend would be going.

it was the perfect in!

“mhm, see you in the morning, y/n! don’t be up all night doing that work of yours if you wanna wake up on time!”

with those parting words, followed by a wave, the female dressed in orange walked towards the direction of her home, eagerly greeting her father at the door before joining him inside.

your shoulders fell, a low exhale escaping your lips as you adjusted your backpack. and just like that, she was gone.

you made your way into the inn you’d been staying at for the time being, rubbing your eyes.

it was a temporary arrangement, given you hadn’t fully decided yet if you would be staying permanently in nibelheim. however, the living accommodations worked just fine.

you hadn’t thought yourself difficult to please, anyway. so long as you had the necessary essentials needed to live, all was well. that was what you’d learned growing up in gongaga.

entering the inn, you greeted the host before ascending the steps, pausing when you caught sight of a towering, silver haired.. male? unless a woman could stand at nearly seven feet.. and across from him, stood.. no — had your eyes deceived you?

“z-zack..?”

the conversation between the pair, whatever it had been about, came to a full stop as they turned to face you, shock painting on the face of the SOLDIER with the darker hair.

“y/n..??” he spoke up incredulously, blinking over at you as his jaw fell just slightly. “no way- what’re you doing here.. in nibelheim of all places? i thought you were-”

“in gongaga?” you asked with a small smile before shaking your head. “my parents found me work here, so i moved just a few months ago. never thought i’d see you here, before returning home, no less.”

zack could feel the coldness of your words, piercing through him like icicles tipped in poison. pissed was an understatement.

the taller behind him smiled awkwardly before moving towards his door, not wanting to be muddled into the affairs of his triend. “i believe you both have some catching up to do.. i will see you in the morning, zack.”

the boy in question parted his lips in protest, but the cat-eyed male was gone before he could do so. damn!

awkwardly, he turned to meet your awaiting stare, swallowing thickly.

“sorry, i’ve.. had a lot going on.” he confessed, lowering his head in shame. “i wanted to come home sooner — especially after making first class just recently- but things.. everything that has been going on as of late at shinra, it’s been really messed up.” zack confessed, clenching his fists at his side before letting out a glum chuckle. “and it just keeps getting weirder.. what were the odds i’d find you here of all places?”

you leaned against the window, folding your arms as you gazed out. “close to none. i guess it’s a thing of fate, maybe.” you offered, sliding your eyes back to his zircon ones. “seems my parents were right to not send me to the city with whatever ‘messed up things’ that happened.”

the SOLDIER nodded, allowing a brief silence to pass before smiling. “they probably were, yeah.. don’t think you would have liked midgar much, anyway. it’s all gross and industrial looking.. although!” he blurted suddenly, perking up as though he’d remembered something. “wait right here, i’ve got something i want to give you!”

you rose a brow at his random burst of energy, reminding you that despite the change in his appearance, the development he had gone through.. he was still your zack, and that wouldn’t change.

he disappeared into his room before you could answer, rummaging by the noises you’d made out, which had you shielding your mouth with your hand. “don’t get lost in there, now.”

“like i would!” he laughed before emerging from his quarters, holding out a messily wrapped box for you. “no matter where i went, i always kept this with me, thinking that maybe- just maybe, i would pass through our hometown and find you to hold up that promise i made to you. finally,” the spiky haired SOLDIER paused, grinning brightly. “i was able to fulfill it!”

you blinked in surprise, taking the package into your hand as you felt your face burn despite the coldness provided by the high altitudes of nibelheim. “you.. remembered?”

appalled, zack let out a gasp of offense. “remembered? how could i forget?? a promise is a promise, and i intended on keeping it!” he huffed out before raising his fists before him in excitement. “now come on, open it!!”

overcome with a sudden happiness, to know you hadn’t been forgotten despite the negative thoughts you’d created, you opened up his gift to you with earnest. a glimpse of green entered your vision as you quirked a curious brow. a plant? no.. zack wasn’t the type to keep plants.

finally removing the top completely, you stared down at the present before stifling a laugh into your forearm. “you- you got me a cactuar.. stuffed toy?” you spluttered in surprise.

of course he did — it was zack for goodness sake..

“sure did!! ya like it?? it looked authentic when i saw it in the window!” he answered proudly, placing his hands on his hips.

you continued laughing, unable to contain yourself as you held your stomach. “it’s so random- but that’s.. that’s just like you to get me!” you wiped a tear, allowing a smile nearly as bright as his, or perhaps- even brighter for a change, to replace your initial frown. “i love it a lot, but.. you wanna know what i love more?”

a mixture of interest and excitement sparked in his eyes as he inched closer, eager to hear. “what? what is it??”

having caught your breath, you closed your eyes, holding the plush close to your heart. “being here- reunited with you, again..”

like an invisible string, knots and tangles had appeared in the thread that connected you both. however, it wasn’t impossible to unravel and detangle that which connected you both, to allow an opportunity of reunion.

( even if it was the right place, but sadly.. the wrong time. )

notes. bittersweet open ending cuz well.. it’s nibelheim- anyway, i hope this was okay! i think my writing style kinda changed.. scary. oh well! the support these last few days have been much appreciated<3 tysm you guys, hearts out to you fr<3

My Movie Review: "Madame Web"

Whew....LAWWWWWDDDD..... Y'all where do I even begin? 😭😭

Y'all.....

Y'ALL........

This movie was SO bad y'all.... Like.... I'm almost in shock at how bad it was lol... 😓

It takes a LOT for me to label a movie just plain BAD, so this is really saying something. It was awful... 😭

Like, you know a movie is bad when you and other people in the audience are laughing at how BAD the film and the acting is lol. 😅🤣 Seriously! My friend and I and a couple sitting beside us were laughing the ENTIRE movie at how bad the acting was.

You guys, the acting was so criiiiiiinge! 🙈 I seriously have not seen acting this bad by an ENTIRE cast EVER lol. It was so bad, I was literally sitting there laughing at the dialog and the delivery. The only people who were decent were Adam Scott, the other side characters, and the three younger girls who were playing teenagers (Sydney Sweeney included). Everyone else sucked wind so bad. I swear, I don't think I've seen a movie where not only the LEAD was doing bad acting, but even the VILLIAN in the film was such a baaad actor, omg. 😭 His voice was so robotic. He was so WOODEN. He sounded like he was just reading his lines. Half the time, I wasn't sure if he was really talking to someone in the room like that lol. His voice sounded so unnatural.

This movie made me appreciate DECENT acting lol. I never realized how just your VOICE and your delivery of your lines can make the entire difference btwn someone who's a good actor, vs someone who's a bad actor. 🥴

Dakota Johnson.... Okay.... I gotta talk about her cuz lol..... 👀 This was actually my FIRST time seeing one of her films, so I went in with an open mind ykwim? But CHILE! That woman cannot act. 😭 At least, not in this film! Half the time, her character was talking out loud to herself. 👀 Her line delivery was so bad, and her voice was so monotone and didn't fit some of the scenes she was in. It was so cringe to the point where the couple of people beside us were LAUGHING at how bad her acting was. 😭 I know Dakota is another NepoBaby, but I thought that surely her acting must be better than this since she's had quite a few lead films under her belt by now. But nope! I was legit shocked by how bad her acting was in this. 🥴

Not only was the acting bad, but the WRITING of this film was horrendous also! Stuff that should have been conveyed by a look, a glance, a facial expression, etc. was all SPOKEN OUT LOUD by Dakota's character Cassie smh.

Like, what on earth kind of writing is that?? I haven't seen writing and editing of a film THIS bad in a very long time.

It took forever for the real action of the film to even begin. It took over an hour and a half to even get to the "meat" of the film, and when you finally get there, it's like: "this was it???" 🥴

Sony Sony Sony!!! What is you doing??? Y'all know I try to defend Sony on here. I have a soft spot for them. But geez.... I'm sorry Sony, I cannot defend this movie lol. 🤦🏾‍♀️

What on earth??

What sucked the most though, is that we didn't even get to see anybody suit up in their costumes/uniforms/suits because we only got snippets of them in the future in costume.

Soooo basically, it really wasn't a "superhero" film to me. Like, it was all this buildup and buildup to NOTHING in the end.

At the end, my friend said that the movie was so bad that she liked it lol. 😅

I'm not going to try to sway anybody's decision....Go see it if you wish. All I know is it was so bad to the point of laughter out loud for me all throughout the movie lol. 😅🤣

You know how some actors OVER-act and it's so cringe?? Yea, it was THAT level bad in some scenes lol. Maybe not on THIS level bad like the film "Showgirls" ROTFL, but it was still pretty bad...

The Pros:

The three "teenage" girls and Adam Scott were probably the best parts of this movie tbh lol

It was so bad, that it was pure comedy for us after a while lol😅

The Cons:

The writing was HORRENDOUS in this film

Dakota's acting and voice was just awful lol

Most of the acting SUCKED in this movie lol

The Villain was awful and sounded like a robot. Most of the time, it sounded like he was literally just reading his lines off of a script rotfl 😅🤣

The editing was horrible also!

We didn't really see the protagonists become "superheroes"

OVERALL SCORE: 3/10

Just plain bad!! I seriously haven't seen a movie THIS bad in a VERY long time. 😩 Thank goodness I have a movie membership and didn't have to pay full price for this, cuz I'd be PISSED! LOL

Lighter and Princess ep 3

Ah, this is where reality finally gives us a wave and departs completely. Young ML the super genius master-hacker freshman that builds an extra special genius virus in like 30 minutes while the FL watches, interfering with school property, and the entire IT department and then his professor marvel at his brilliance, not at all threatened or irritated or threatening disciplinary action. And we were doing so well.

Gotta say, I think FL isn't entirely wrong when labelling ML a poser. He's authentically not socialable and contrary, but he's trying it on a bit too hard like kids do PLUS he obviously isn't as disinterested in her as he's trying to front. She's a very pretty girl and he could simply ignore her. But he takes multiple actions to get her notice, after that 1st fateful cafetaria mistake.

Gao's fixation on ML seems suspicious and creepy but tbh that might be just my bias since I know in the future/present he's sketchy.

Episode 4

yeaaaaah he's so into her. Oh you're way too cool and counter culture to be interested in pretty girls. Everyone believes you.

I love how fried his hair looks. That's really the look of a university kid who just bleached his hair in the bathroom. And the long sleeves striped shirt under the black tshirt 👌. Kudos to the stylist.

Zhu Yun the FL and these over achiever students starting to get on my nerves now. I'm not even distracted by FL's luminous beauty because I'm buying into her student persona too well and it's not my type.

ML flipping the script and pretending (?) to hit on her at the school assembly whatever was pretty ballsy of him. Sometimes he tries so hard to be 'different' that he's actually not much more original than these other kids (just mimicking a different role) and it's endearing but a lil dorky to my 40-something self. But other times he's actually got the spirit and I'm feeling his sullen & mischevious magnetism. The type of kid I would have hung out with at that age.

lolololol pretending so hard not to care but if she had gone for it you know he would have dated her.

The invest in the band girl scene from the flashbacks! Kinda exciting to fit a piece together. Don't really know what their connection is, maybe I missed it. but nice to see him relaxed and smiling without putting on an act for once. idk maybe there really isn't a backstory. I tended to know a lot of the other counterculture people in my district, at least enough to say hi to. why not?

Episode 5

I'm so done with the past RETURN ME TO HOT GRADUATE FL 😭😭😭😭😭

I did like the lil scene with Future Villain Gao and FL where she really rejects Gao's reasoning of quitting to save face and not get humiliated. Being like, nah that's fine if we're the only 2 people and no one else wants to join us. See, that's actually dgaf i do what i want energy and you can see why she is ML's type. Oddly reminiscent of the Thousand Autumns otp - demonic sect leader realizes that the uber good, incorruptible cultivator is actually just as unbending and iconoclastic as he is... It's just that they are standing for different things.

dear asian drama writers, we truly madly deeply do NOT require female extras to dramatically fawn over a male character to indicate they are desirable. Just write them that way!! This shit is too ridiculous and knocks me out of the story.

tbh Gao may be Potentially Evil but ML Li Xun is insufferable when he starts pontificating about what a special programmer snowflake he is.

lmao I wonder if any instinctive part of him feels uneasy that he's the one in the crowd. She's comparatively going against the grain.

but kids, you obviously like each other. making all these excuses to hang out all night together smh. Just give it up and kiss.

THE PIG KEY MOMENTO from the future. another piece slots in!

I see, so mom makes every decision for FL. That's why she's so stubbornly rebellious against ML's percieved takeover of their class. She's instinctively rebelling against his leadership. She's reacting against him acting as the authority on comp sci and dicating the 'right' way to learn and be a programmer -- become she can't rebel against her mother.

Gosh i hate the age discourse thats sprouted up in the OW community since canon ages got released. Especially the shipping discourse about Hoggie n I. Yeah, he’s 23 years older than me in source. Yeah, he was still 13ish years older than me in my timeline. But that doesnt make our relationship illegal!! I was twenty five in my timeline and i’m twenty seven in canon!! Y/n really is out there making the stupidest decisions 😩 Girl has like 4 other close friends she could've gone to and instead went to her ex! At least nothing happened physically but those two are so emotionally compromised 😒 Can't even fathom being in so deep with someone who cheated on you 3 years ago. And Chan being all like "it kills me to know I hurt you that much"???? Like bro you're still actively doing that by marrying her cousin, make it make sense!!!!!

The only reason I'm not 1000% against this Chan situation rn though is that I need him to break up with Bai so that Bai can be miserable, and then when Y/n inevitably realizes she's better off without Chan she can get with Felix (or stay single or something, that's still preferable to being with a cheater) 😤

Hope all the friends somehow get in to tell Y/n and Chan how stupid they're both being (in different ways) so that they can get their shit together. Maybe that'll be the Jeju trip agenda 🤔

i think theyre both looking to preserve themselves in a way. i think its all good then they fuck and its like. okay so max is looking to get with someone (in my mind its also an ex, but maybe even danny) and uses george as a crutch despite their little interaction. then george thinks too impulsively and also uses max as a temporary solution. then HE GETS WITH THE GIRLFRIEND AGAIN......then he gets scared and doesn't tell max until its too late. so now he's gotta apologize

(im kind of thinking of imola 2021 where george took full responsibility for the incident w valtteri after reflecting for a bit! he made a bad judgement but fixed it immediately!)

then max resents george (because he got attached) but refuses to talk about it with george. george is willing to take accountability but max knows it'll hurt george even more if he doesn't even engage with that idea. smh my head . the pettiness is unreal. he's literally willing to kill them both if it means he "wins"; that george can never feel comfort in his own relationship again, that george is berated for what max thinks is the wrong decision, and that george will stay with max (even if in a way that is so hateful). love makes people crazy.

danny + lando trying to mediate makes me giggle. lando is really like "im sure the week with george will be fine" then comes back to fire and hell on earth. but yeah #dandobesties4eva

poor little kōki is the exact opposite of dabi, he has an ice quirk with a body made for a fire quirk (doesnt get his quirk until he's nearly five)

his quirk is dry ice, he can form little bits of it on his skin, and thankfully, hes at least immune to the carbon dioxide gas that pours off of it

only thing is when he uses it for a long period of time, little ice burns (yes thats a thing) and frostbite form where the ice was

yua's sad about him getting an ice quirk that intense but its still not as bad as hers so shes thankful for that

has a little crying session with kōki one day when he runs up to her crying (like, ugly crying) about his hands hurting and how theyre so cold but feel like they've been set on fire

you ever been outside in cold weather without gloves on? after a while it starts to feel like your hands are on fire and i can tell you it hurts, it does actually feel like theyre actively on fire (discovered this during recess and the teachers STILL refused to let us inside smh)

yua knows that nerve damage from an ice quirk is inevitable, as far as she's aware, but shes startled bc hes getting it so much more intensely than she did and a lot sooner

when the nerve damage gets to his wrists and little bits of frostbite start forming at his fingertips she makes the decision to try and put him on quirk dampeners (i've always thought this was or at least should be a thing for people with intense quirks and/or criminals in custody)

she makes the decision while dabi is out on a mission so the moment he gets back to the hideout its "dabi i'm going to try to get kōki on quirk dampeners. he's starting to get frostbite on his fingers and i've tried warming him up and so has masami and its not helping and i cant take another day of him crying over the nerve damage his quirk is causing."

dabi sort of blames himself because even if the kid didn't get his quirk, he probably should've stayed away from yua. i mean, his parents did the hot + cold thing and look what happened to him, how did he not expect that somebody with blue fire + somebody with an ice quirk that lets their body get as cold as ice xiv (-160⁰C, i think, dont quote me on that) would end up with at least one of their kids ending up at least somewhat like him

he doesnt argue with her, cause at this point kōki is ten and he does not want to wait until he hits puberty to see if his quirk gets even stronger and/or more harmful like his did, and from how she's talking, momma bear does not sound like shes going to try to hear him out even if he didn't wanna put kōki on quirk dampeners

kōki (reluctantly) agrees to them, and yeah, hes sad that he cant summon dry ice anymore (he can pretty much only lower his body temperature now due to the dampeners) but he'll take being nearly quirkless over one that causes that much pain

when masami closes in on puberty dabi watches her like a HAWK especially whenever she's using her quirk (not very often since she can't safely use it inside, but if shes excited sometimes she'll poof into a ball of flames for a moment completely on accident, so sometimes it happens inside anyways)

she's not happy about it ofc "dad PLEASE i didn't wanna use a blow torch for this recipe and you staring at me is making me feel like im messing it up."

masami is 17 or 18– pretty much done with the worst of puberty and nearing the end of it for girls– before he lets up on the "much watch the baby" thing

both kōki and masami bug them for another sibling constantly "dad, dad, please i'm your sweet little girl you GOTTA listen to me and give me a little sister pleeeeeaaase i'll do the dishes or something if you do." "no, masami, shut up, we don't need a another girl. dad, look at me. give me a brother. i'll feed him and take care of him i promise." "mom–"

dabi is tempted but yua absolutely refuses because shes nervous the next one will have issues with their quirk too and after hearing her reasoning he suggests she goes on birth control

cause if shes on BC then he wont have to wear a stupid ass condom and they wont have to worry about another kid

dabi takes a lot of pride in the fact that his kids adore him

anytime they get hurt, if he's there at the moment, theyre immediately running over to him and telling him what happened

kōki normally just wants a hug and a "its okay", but masami on the otherhand wants the ouchie smooched and to be held for a while ( a nap w/ dad doesn't sound too bad but they HAVE to have a fan blasting them because their body heats combined makes them sweat gallons )

kōki drew something? immediately running to show dad

masami found out she can make fire come out of her nose? running to show dad

one of em had a nightmare? oh dad looks cozy and safe, think i'll sleep between him and mom tonight

kōki cools down the older he gets and will try to deal with shit on his own more often, really only goes to dabi when he needs to, but still shows he loves him even if its occasionally

"kōki why are you hugging me im in the middle of something" "because i love you and i havent gotten a hug from you in a few days AND masami's being an ass."

masami still goes to dabi for just about everything even as she grows and even into adulthood takes naps with him

still idolizes dabi just not like a little kid does, goes from "my dad is my favorite person ever he can do know wrong he can probably fly too but I'll have to ask AND he can totally beat up your dad" to "my dad's a total badass and i love him. could still totally beat up your dad btw"

in an au where they can actually go to public school– one day when theyre teens kōki brings home a boy with a fire quirk and masami brings home a boy with an ice quirk and dabi just thinks "ah. the cycle continues."

"I can't say I know about the war politics." That he purposely chose to stay away from. But everything else he was acutely aware of. "Jing Yuan has been a bit snappier with me." He begins, his hand now coming up to brush his bangs.

Why is it you only get attention on on tinder from the guys you barely like. Like you swipe right on them because they are kinda your type, but the more you talk to them it’s apparent they really aren’t your type, but they are the only ones responding to your messages and it feels mean to ghost them. Plus you really shouldn’t have downloaded tinder in the first place, but you have no one to talk to and we’re feeling down so depressed you thought tinder is a great idea and buying tinder plus (smh) now you gotta keep it for at least a month to get your money’s worth.

Clearly I shouldn’t be making decisions but here I am. I’m just upset, bored, lonely, anxious, mentally exhausted and a whole lot more but it is what it is.

but anyway, i have finished reading inffqth

and altho im not crying anymore, i did cry through like, chapters, 10 to 12, maybe more in 11 and 12, but specially 11

i said this dream was beautiful, and i still mean it, probs even more now that i saw him completely, i have like, a list with my favorite dream's in fanfics and urs just kicked everybody to be number one

this george too,,, god how much i wanted to fight him, at some point i said out loud how i was gonna take that "stupid" box of feeling and throw it on a river so he finally opens up, but honestly, i probs got mad at him bcs he was taking decisions i would have also taken

when he was talking abt how he was too much and nobody wanted that, i was like "ok well no need to attack me like that"

but im so happy they got to solve it in a non tiring way? like usually the communication just goes the wrong way or never happens and it gets so frustrating, like just TALK alr pls

I almost forgot to answer you because i was just staring in wonder at this ask--I love it!

Chapter 11 was a doozy, don't blame you for crying there. lots of growth and realizations and decisions. I'm so glad you still love my Dream. As for George here, I'll admit, he's hard to love for a while, but that's mostly because I see myself in him so much (like you said, same decisions I would make) and I want to bang his head against a wall (or in this case, his mother).

The thing about his dad in this fic-- like chapter 11 got completely re-written because it disappear on me, yeah? well, the original chapter dealt way more with his dad. George and Neve go straight to Brighton first instead of London to Kate, and George has an awkward encounter with the new lady friend where we realize, she's just a woman and just as messed up about all this as everyone else and it really humanized his dad and the whole situation but when is got deleted, I was like okay this is a sign. This story is not about George's family that much, like it's about Dream and George getting together and this is a fun side trip and sheds more light on things, but at the end of the day, we didn't need that light.

I think it's so cute you screenshot your favorite parts! My friend (the dream friend) does this and every once in awhile will send me an unhinged screenshot from a fandom im not in and it takes me out.

I love Kate in this fic, she's my fave. I'm proud of how she turned out and how real she seems. Definitely not perfect (in the epilogue where she tells everyone but george about the guy she's dating--proof that it's harder to change than we realize, but she apologizes to george and makes it right), but the kind of adult I want to be as I age--not afraid of life but living it. I guess I did some projecting there.

If I ever write a kid fic, I will count on your kudos, lol. I've thought about a non-traditional one but I'm not ready to commit yet.

Let me know how you like "Accomplice" I uh think you're going to have some more family feels in that one. I think i have themes I like to explore.

#like why does it gotta have perceived dates on it...how dare you remind me of what day it is #okay but i have been anxious for like five days though but then it actually hits and youre just...dread #it's all absolutely not fun and games until it actually hits february no i will not elaborate #also yes i am simultaneously laughing at my own antics and this post while still being incredibly anxious #ive just got a lot of indecision and dread and feelings and dont know what to do really but anyways #like sure i was convinced in my decision to stay away for longer but now i am Unsure so yeah ive just got a lot of dread #if i continue to stay away to work on myself further... will that cause more harm? ...and will i ever come back at that point?#there's a Lot going on and im not going to write it but yeah the biggest worry is that it will be too late and ill never return at all #and the sad part is id finally been taking my power back and coming back to myself and finding peace #but now that it's time the emotions have returned fully and my therapist really urges to say them soon so i dont bottle up more #she wanted me to break the truce but i refused despite being tormented bc it was too important to me to respect the boundary #now im not sure what to do #and also.... while i have seen the numerous benefits of being by myself and want to make sure im strong and secure fully before i go back #and want to complete more dbt before i go back...#would this actually count as a self sabotaging behavior if you looked at it as isolation? and would it just #...push people away?#fml you achieve peace finally and are making progress and then the calendar exists smh #im turmoiled once again #p

Hello) Can I request headcanons for dorm leaders with a reader who works as a model (NAKED model) for an art club? He had this job before he got close to the boys and they know bout it, but now that they've started dating, how will they feel about it now?

I’m making the executive decision that the art teacher is Father Gothel x

Warnings: nudity (non sexual), suggestive themes, some jealousy and possessive behaviors

Riddle

Having grown up as wealthy as he did, Riddle is well aware that a good artist should be familiar with drawing human anatomy

But does it really have to be yours?!

He immediately gets angry at just the idea of one of those students staring at you for a bit too long

Of course he’s not angry at you! He whole heartedly wants you to do what you enjoy

He nearly tries to behead Prof Gothel when he says that only third years are allowed to sit in on the anatomy classes

They eventually come up with a compromise where Riddle sits in front of your little podium and glares daggers at every student who tries to draw you

The challenges of capturing human anatomy while also being under the unblinking stare of one of the most powerful students at school made drawing a little difficult

If he gets the sense that any student is looking at you for less than pure purposes, it’s off with their head

Leona

Okay? Do what you want he doesn’t care

I mean even if he does care there’s no way in hell he’ll let you know that

He’s clearly not thrilled about it but he makes that known in his own way

He won’t bother you while you’re working but he will walk you to and from every job and makes it painfully obvious to the students that you’re very much taken

The minute you leave the classroom he has his arm around your shoulders and loudly talks about how sexy you must have looked

On days when he’s feeling especially possessive he makes sure you’re covered in marks from him when you go in

The art students nervously analyze the hickeys on your thighs and neck, trying to capture the imprint of Leona’s fangs in their work

Of course Gothel throws a fit every time you come in looking “impure” (his words) but there’s really nothing he can do

The art students are all terrified of Leona. He really doesn’t even have to do anything they just know that he would beat the shit out of them if they ever even thought about you that way

Azul

He doesn’t like this at all

Azul is a very insecure person so when he learns that other men have been regularly seeing you naked, he nearly overblots again

It takes a lot of persuasion to talk some sense into him

Once he is able to understand what your work means to you and how it helps the students, he quickly starts working on a plan

He stays up all night writing out contracts for every art student and art club member that magically binds them into not getting horny

No, actually. That’s one of the clauses in the contract.

Gothel already had to go through so much to get this course approved and now he’s gotta deal with your octopus boyfriend smh

Once the contracts are signed and the students have been throughly threatened by the tweels, Azul’s insecurity has decreased by about 20%

He trusts you completely, but he’s still very finicky about it and would generally like to avoid mentioning it

Floyd gets into a lot of trouble in this aspect

Luckily Azul’s mood can be improved pretty easily with some private modeling sessions

Kalim

That’s so cool!!

Kalim has done a ton of modeling for paintings and family portraits so he knows how hard it is to sit still for that long

He’s also really happy that your confident enough with your body to do something like that

When you go into the discussion expecting him to be mad he does a complete 180. You doing something that makes you happy is literally his favorite thing in the world. No amount of jewels or money is as valuable to him as your happiness

If you let him then he hires the best painters in the scalding sands to do portraits of you together (clothed or otherwise) and he hangs them all around his room

Like Leona he also walks you to and from every session, but not to scare the art students, just to hype you up or ask how it went

If he goes into one of his mood swings then he might snap at the art students, but that’s usually not the case

He is just the most wholesome boy and he loves you so much

Vil

Vil also does a lot of modeling so he understands how not big of a deal it is

Once he learns that you model as well then he’ll book as many couples gigs as he can (clothing optional)

Prof Gothel had been begging Vil to model for the art club for literally every year he’s been at school and is so happy when he finally agrees to pose for them with you

It’s so hard to stand still in the middle of the room when your super hot and very naked boyfriend is posed right next to you, staring into your eyes

Many sessions have ended with the two of you hastily leaving the art classroom to release some pent up tension

The sexual tension would probably be awkward if the art students weren’t distracted by the impossible task of trying to capture the beauty of you two

Rook somehow manages to get his hands on every drawing of you- with Vil or without- and will fawn over them for hours

Pretty much all of Pomefiore worships you. Some of them have started a fan blog for you where they pick apart your outfit and makeup and give advice on how to look more like you

And the art club got a lot of new members for some reason

Idia

Now Idia is cursing himself for never having taken any art classes

While he does have some appreciation for art, I don’t think that he would be able to understand what you’re doing the way others could

He mostly just sees it as you being naked and stared at by a bunch of guys

He’s probably watched an anime with that plot

He can’t bring it up himself because he will get super embarrassed and his hair will turn pink, but if someone else makes some snide comment about your work then he’s all over their ass

He’s quick to remind people that he is a very powerful dorm leader and he will kick ass and take names if anyone says something less than positive about you

Of course he thinks that you’re incredibly attractive but he would actually combust if he saw you naked

One time you got ahold of one of the drawings of you and slide it into Idia’s bag when he wasn’t looking

When he finds it in the privacy of his room your phone blows up with texts and eventually pictures and videos from Idia

Despite the confidence in his texts, he still can’t look you in the eye for a few days

Malleus

(I have a hard time with malleus hopefully this isn’t too out of character)

Malleus doesn’t really get jealous. You’re his first relationship and he’s never had a reason to not trust you so he does

He’s also modeled for a few portraits but he’s not a huge fan so he will not be joining you

In general he has no reaction to your side gig. He would react the same if you told him you worked at the grocery store

Even though Malleus doesn’t make many public appearances, word has gotten around that the two of you are together

The art students are terrified

Attendance actually drops for a while when you start modeling, but they come back when they realize Malleus isn’t going to kill them

They even get to see small glimpses of Malleus being an actual human being when interacting with you and not the myth that they thought he was

Sebek does not react as calmly but he’ll be fine once Malleus tells him it’s fine
