It is a true story from a European country:
There lived an elderly man named Cimon and his daughter Pero. Since Cimon was sentenced to death by starvation and since he had no other relatives, his daughter begged the government so that she could visit her father every day until the day of his death. Fortunately, she got permission from the government. But there was one condition: she could not take any food with her for her father. When she visited him, guards searched her to make sure she was not carrying any food. When she visited her father and saw his condition, her heart sank. She looked at her father with her mother's eyes. To give him food and keep him alive, she began to breastfeed him daily. Many days after the conviction, the guards became suspicious because Cimon was taking a long time to starve to death, the guards spied on her and then discovered how she was keeping her father alive. They arrested Pero and took her before the jailer, but after learning of her selfless nature, the jailer released her father, Cimon. That was Pero's love. Her act of love is a testimony to true unconditional love.
Parents' love is common, but children's love for them is rare.

The 200-Year-Old Sycamore Gap Tree 'Deliberately Felled’
A famous tree that has stood sentinel on Britain’s Roman-built Hadrian’s Wall for more than 200 years has been “deliberately felled” in what authorities have called an “act of vandalism.”
The Sycamore Gap, located in the Northumberland National Park in northern England, was made famous to millions around the world when it appeared in Kevin Costner’s 1991 blockbuster film “Robin Hood: Prince Of Thieves.”
Police said they have arrested a 16-year-old boy and a man in his sixties following the incident, which was believed to have taken place overnight Thursday.

The tree - at a spot known as “Sycamore Gap” – was located on the historic UNESCO World Heritage listed Hadrian’s Wall, which was constructed around 1,900 years ago to guard the furthest northwestern frontier of the Roman Empire.
Sycamore Gap was considered one of the most photographed trees in England and was voted as English Tree of the Year in 2016.
The National Trust heritage charity – which co-manages the site – said it was “shocked and saddened” by the tree’s felling.
Andrew Poad, north east general manager at the National Trust, said: “The tree has been an important and iconic feature in the landscape for nearly 200 years and means a lot to the local community and to anyone who has visited the site.”
Northumberland National Park Authority said it was now “working with the relevant agencies and partners with an interest in this iconic North East landmark.”
The National Park urged visitors to stay away while the site was being made safe.

Police, who earlier said they were investigating what was believed to be a “deliberate act of vandalism,” said a 16-year old youth had been arrested in connection with the incident.
He remains in police custody at this time and is assisting officers with their enquiries,” Northumbria Police posted on X, adding that the “investigation is still at very early stage.”
The man in his sixties was arrested subsequently. “We hope this second arrest demonstrates just how seriously we’re taking this situation and our ongoing commitment to find those responsible and bring them to justice,” the police stated on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Prior to the arrests, the police force described the tree as a “world-renowned landmark.”
“The vandalism has caused understandable shock and anger throughout the local community and beyond,” a statement from Northumbria Police said.
Police Superintendent Kevin Waring added: “This is an incredibly sad day. The tree was iconic to the North East and enjoyed by so many who live in or who have visited this region.”
“Anyone found to have been responsible for this damage – which we believe to be a deliberate act of vandalism – can expect to be dealt with swiftly and appropriately.”

When Crash joined the bloodline he made Roman play Overwatch with him and it turns out Romans actually pretty good at the game.
The only problem is that Roman one tricks Mercy, and he’s kind of embarrassed about it. But he’s also a really fucking good Mercy player and keeps pissing off the enemy teams bc they cannot kill him when he superjumps around the map and keeps whipping out his pistol to vibe check unsuspecting genjis.
Crash mains Hanzo/Cassidy/Ashe and people keep screaming at them in chat when they queue together because Roman will hard pocket Crash and they will stomp poor unsuspecting enemy teams who just wanted to have a fun game

"CARDINAL WOULD FLOG RICH MEN WHO IGNORE APPEALS OF THE POOR," Toronto Star. December 14, 1931. Page 1. --- Primate of Catholic America Castigates "Safe-Deposit Worshippers" --- SEES SLAVERY AHEAD ---- Says Moneyed Interests Seek to Control Governments of World ---- Boston. Dec. 14. Those who worship the safe deposit box are to blame for the woes of the world to-day, according to William. Cardinal O'Connell, archbishop of Boston and dean of the Catholic hierarchy in America. "Great numbers of rich men should be flogged; it is the only suitable. punishment for them; they are insensible to all appeals," the cardinal told members of the St. Vincent de Paul Society Sunday. At the same time he lauded as "noble. souls" those rich men, Catholics and non- Catholics, who give to every good cause. Continuance of the "throes of material, mechanistic control" even of governments, by certain selfish financial interests, the cardinal declared, means "complete domination of money over life, getting every last penny, exploiting banking for every last dime." A solemn warning was issued by his eminence to the moneyed interests of the world against repetition of the inflation which preceded the stock crash of 1929. He said these interests were out for control of the governments of the world and that if they were successful it would mean "slavery for the masses". He scored the materialistic philosophy which developed the "Get rich quick" idea among children. Tribute was paid by the cardinal to the late. Henry Higginson and James J. Storrow. non-Catholics, who shared their enormous wealth with the less fortunate. Others named for their generosity among wealthy Catholics were Nicholas and James Brady, their sister. Mrs. James C. Farrell of Albany, N.Y., and the late Humphrey O'Sullivan, rubber heel magnate of Lowell.

Pastor Jack Wellman | Grace has been described as something God gives to us that we don’t deserve and certainly could never earn by even our best works (Ephesians 2:8-9). It is a totally free gift that is unmerited and unearned. The only thing we brought to the cross were our sins. Yet God loved us while we were still His enemies (Romans 5:10). Nothing we did and nothing we...

Known as the loving reformer, St. Charles Borromeo cared about people and wanted them to know that the Church of God cared about them, too. His changes and reforms in the way the Church was organized, changed the way that the Church listened to the people—all of them, not just the rich and powerful.

Daily Devotional: Romans 15:22-33
Daily Devotional: Romans 15:22-33
Since there are already believers in Rome, and Paul has been called to preach to gentiles who have not yet even heard the gospel, he hasn’t been to Rome in person. He hopes to connect with believers in Rome on his way to Spain—where he is traveling to preach the gospel since there is no place left to preach in the Greek regions. He hopes to first enjoy their company for a while and then ask for…

Romans 12:15
King James Version
Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep.
As Christians we go through the ups and downs of life in support of each other. When others are on the mountaintop, we rejoice with them. When others are in the valley, we weep with them. Empathy is important. Supporting one another is essential.
