super loose sketch but. I have so many writing ideas about dsmp characters and religion from c!wilbur’s perspective. (I hc him as an athiest or agnostic who’s closest peers are people of faith and he tries so hard to understand but cannot connect with religion, fears he can’t understand this piece of them, like an outsider to faith and that peace in their features when they talk about it. c!tommy with lady prime, c!quackity with something akin to Catholicism that he can’t remember the origins of, c!techno a pagan/pantheist acting with several deities, c!phil a pagan). inspired by this and this and @ghosts-and-blue-sweaters . Something something mirroring the behaviors of his closest friend that bring him comfort to see if anything will work at this point. Taking it seriously at first and then getting embarrassed with himself when he doesn’t hear a voice back. Getting frustrated and pretending to himself that he never tried and it was silly. going to limbo. idk.

2024 islamic goals ideas 🩷

finish the entire Qur’an

memorise at least x5 surah’s

start to pray on time

read and finish Qur’an in translation of your language

learn tajweed rules and improve Qur'an recitation

pray in the masjid more

plan your days around salah rather than the other way round

learn Allah سُبْحَٰنَهُۥ وَتَعَٰلَىٰ 's 99 names/attributes

detach from worldly means/people/things/desires

adopt true tawakkul

speak in a manner that's pleasing to Allah سُبْحَٰنَهُۥ وَتَعَٰلَىٰ

have better hygiene

be kinder to the creation

eradicate the ego and adopt meekness and humility

habits to form

waking up for fajr more often

waking up for tahajjud more often

reading 1 page minimum of Qur’an every single day

April 8, 2024 - Monday | Ramadan Challenge 29/30

Clean up / organization day! Spent half the day looking for the pedal of my sewing machine and digging around in my room. I eventually found it and fixed my mom’s Eid abaya. Then I steamed a bunch of stuff and packaged 30+ gifts 😵‍💫 I even managed to waste time having a long heated discussion (with all parties aggressively agreeing) about a community problem.

Day 29: Ramadan is our honorable yearly guest who is now preparing to leave 💔 What are 3 gifts Ramadan is leaving for you as a parting gift until we meet it again (inshallah) next year.

Sunnah prayers

Mindfulness of behavior towards parents, serving them

Salah add-ons (dua, dhikr, etc)

just realized that ramadan is in like, a month. ramadan is supposed to be a month of joy for muslims, because its the holiest month (its believed that the devil is jailed away during this time, so its also a time to increase your good deeds) and you gather as a family and a community. thinking of the palestinian muslims in gaza who are barely surviving. the many muslims in the west bank who are terrorized EVERY ramadan, every year, are attacked during their prayers in the al-aqsa mosque, are targeted this month because the point of the idf is to never give palestinians joy. may we, at the absolute minimum, have a permanent ceasefire before the holy month starts.

#israel takes particular joy in terrorizing palestinians during ramadan and eid btw #like every year i hear of them attacking and beating muslims in the al aqsa masjid who r trying to do their nightly prayer #<- a particularly special prayer you do during ramadan #but... yeah. what more is there to say beyond what has already been cried out to the world. #from the river to the sea #the heart bleeds thinking of palestinians who r denied the beautiful land they grew up in and have spiritual ties with #something about jerusalem being holy ground to all the abrahamic religions and yet the amount of blood that's been spilled on that soil. #yeah much to think about
