I thank you for the time you’ll take reading my request, and hope you’ll continue writing !
Thank you lovely :)
cw: smut mdni, reader has insecurities around breast size and makes a joke about looking like a boy
Remus Lupin x fem!reader ♡ 797 words
The sky outside is a pale gray, and droplets of rain cling dearly to leaves and flower petals. You’ve left the bedroom window open, letting in the cool breeze that smells of green and freshness. It licks over your skin like a fine mist, sweet and earthy.
But you like Remus’ licks better.
His mouth is warm on your breast, both of your books turned over and forgotten at the end of the bed. You have one hand burrowed in his hair, extra fluffy from the damp air, while your other runs up and down his back, beseeching. Remus kisses and sucks at you so gently you don’t even suspect the hickey he’s leaving behind until he moves to a different spot and you see the mark. You don’t let him get very far on his next project.
“Rem,” you plead, giving his hair another little tug.
He chuckles but complies, stretching up for a syrupy, lingering kiss. You sigh into his mouth. He devours it happily, slipping a hand around to the small of your back and starting to press you downwards onto the pillows. But that’s a position you haven’t taken for a reason, and you push back, covering your resistance with the guise of kissing Remus harder, forcing you both upright.
Remus’ mouth curves against yours. He goes along with you, nipping playfully at your lip and gripping you tighter, rougher.
But it’s not long before he tries again, urging you horizontal so he can get on top of you properly. This time, when you don’t go, he takes notice.
“Something wrong?” he asks casually, still tending to the corner of your mouth with soft, sweet kisses.
You hum a denial and go for the distraction, clutching at the muscles of his back and trying to maneuver yourself into his lap. Not particularly easy, since he’s currently in your lap, his body spread over you with his legs on either side of your hips.
Remus sets a hand on your shoulder. A restraint. “Sure you don’t want to tell me?” he asks softly. “I can tell something’s bothering you.”
Your lips still on his. For a few moments, the only sounds are bird calls and the tinkling of raindrops falling from trees like silver coins. Remus doesn’t pull away. He waits for you.
“I don’t really want to lie down like this,” you admit.
“That’s fine.” Remus’ hand slopes down your shoulder, thumb beginning to draw circles into your arm. He’s always had a sense for when you might need soothing. “Is everything okay?”
“Yeah.” You laugh at yourself, a light little puff of air that sounds as forced as it feels. “I’m being vain.”
His eyebrow twitches upward. “How’s that?”
It’s an effort not to look down at your chest. “I’m just not really feeling my boobs lately,” you say simply, trying once more for insouciance. “I don’t even want to think about how they’d look concaving back into me, so I’d rather avoid having to see it.”
Remus grins, a small, crooked thing that lets you know he’s playing along with your levity even if he doesn’t buy into it. “They do not concave,” he sneers teasingly. “And you don’t have to be the one feeling them, dovey. I’ve been feeling them for about a half hour now, and I’d say they feel excellent.”
“Ha ha.” You direct your smile just over his shoulder.
Remus hums and plants a hand in the middle of your chest. “Now, that didn’t sound very sincere,” he says, pushing downward.
There’s a bit more force to the motion this time, and you can’t resist for long. You go down giggling, even as unease twists peskily in your gut.
“See?” Remus bends over you, laying a kiss on your cheek before creeping downwards. “Still lovely.”
“I’ve become a young boy,” you lament jokingly, but squeak when Remus nips admonishingly at your neck.
“They’re perfect,” he says, mouth marking a trail down into the valley of your chest. He presses his lips to the inside of one breast. Lets them linger there, emanating a tenderness you can feel seeping into your core. When he lifts them, it’s with a soft suctioning sound. “Perfect.”
“Remus,” you whisper.
His eyes flick up to yours, eyelashes nearly brushing his eyebrows from the angle. “Yes?”
“You…you don’t have to.”
He looks back down, tsking. He sets another kiss on the same breast, moving slowly closer to the stiff peak of your nipple. “Still doesn’t believe me,” he mutters as if to himself. Another press of his lips, this one almost directly on the bud.
Remus sighs, and goosebumps skitter over your skin. You shiver.
“I think you may have to get comfortable, darling. I’m going to be busy here for a while.”

might I request some headcanons for ford (young and old) w/ a reader who’s a witch (like from the boiling isles) and has their own place in the woods? they’re known as the witch of the woods and there are stories from local teens about how they’ll “steal your bones if you get too close to their house,” but they’re actually really nice and will make you lunch if you stop by.
please, and thank you 🔮
Man, do I love this idea!! I immediately started thinking of a little ficlet/imagine/scenario
Reader gender not mentioned, could be any gender
This turned out longer than I thought it would
I'd exiled myself to earth a bit ago in response to the ban on wild witches. It was easier for me to leave than to fight back then. I could probably go back anytime, but I'd rather not be forced to pick one coven.
It wasn't all bad here. The rain didn't burn, plants didn't move on their own or try to eat me. I loved the green color of the landscape and my palisman, Gretch, enjoyed the fresh air. The locals were friendly enough, and the children were curious.
I'd noticed that they were wary of me and my strange abilities. To combat this, I'd just make warm beverages and small meals for anyone traveling farther into the woods near my little cabin.
It was on my way home from the human store that I met him. A man stuck in the root of a tree. One of mine, unfortunately. In a moment of homesickness, I'd planted a seed from the Boiling Isles near my home, and this particular one was a grasping willow. A sigh escaped me, loud enough for my surprise captive to hear. He turned towards me, seeming to forget his foot was stuck, causing him to fall over. The man winced.
"I'm sorry for my tree, sir." I swirled my pointer finger into a circle of green. The root lifted and moved from his ankle. "He's just a bit playful." I set my bags down to offer him my hand. He hesitated, looking at my hand before reaching up and taking the offered help. Once he was up, I shook his hand with a smile and introduced myself.
"Nice to meet you," he quickly took his hand back and cleared his throat, "my name is Stanford Pines, though people call me Ford."
"Wonderful to meet you, Ford." I picked my bags back up and faced him again. "I have groceries to put away, so I have to go. Try walking in a wide circle to avoid Snipper if you're walking around here."
"Oh, uh, thank you for the advice." He waved awkwardly and turned to leave. I chuckled slightly and went on my own way. Gretch sniffed the air in his direction before hiding back into my cloak. They whispered to me about the stranger's smell as I walked back home.
~*~
Ford came around more often after that. He asked many questions, and I answered. I asked fewer questions but received more answers. He was eager to talk and learn, and I was grateful for the company. Ford became a part of my routine in the best way. We'd meet up for lunch at either mine or his cabin and tell me what he's found. His theories enthralled me. I'd developed quite the soft spot for him and missed him when he wasn't around. My palisman teased me endlessly about it, but stopped once I'd mention how they liked to curl up on his lap as he talked.
He'd started coming around less and less. I wondered what new oddity he was occupied with to take up all his time. Gretch had been keeping watch over him and hadn't seen much since they couldn't get into the cabin. Whenever he did visit, he was...distant. There were bags beneath his eyes, an erratic fear, and paranoia took over his voice, even when it was just a whisper. I was worried and told him as such. He'd stood abruptly from the living room couch, making poor Gretch leap to the floor, and looked at me for the first time in months.
"There's nothing to be worried about. I'm fine, everything's fine!" His eye twitched. I blinked a few times in shock at his outburst. My hands flew up in a placating manner.
"Okay, okay," I lowered my hands and held them out to him palm up, "how about I make you your favorite tea, hm?" His eyes lowered to my hands before placing his own in them. I gently squeezed his hands for exactly six seconds before standing up and leading him to the kitchen. He followed me as I moved around to make the tea. Gretch stayed close to him, attempting to comfort him. The kettle boiled and I pulled it off before the whistle blew. We both watched the tea steep for a few seconds before Ford wrapped me in a hug from behind. His head rested against me as he shook.
~*~
"I think...I think I did something very bad, and you won't forgive me." His voice cracked. I looked up from the soup I was serving to look at him. He was looking at his hands.
"I suppose that's a valid concern. Although, I can't say whether I would or wouldn't if I don't know what it is." I set the ladle down and grabbed the tray holding the bowls. "For what it's worth, there is very little you can do that I wouldn't be able to forgive." I set the tray on the table and set a bowl in front of him, then Gretch's, before sitting down my with my own.
"I..." He stared at the soup. "I care for you deeply, and I don't want you to be mixed up in my mistakes." His eyes were tired when they looked at me. My breath caught in my chest as I stared back. My palisman stopped slurping to to look up at both me and Ford.
"Is that what you're asking me to forgive? You caring deeply for me?" I looked down at my own soup, stirring it slightly. My heart raced as his words filled my mind. "If that's a thing in need of forgiveness, then I beg for yours in return." I look back at him with a small smile. His brow furrowed.
"That's not the point I'm making." Ford ran a hand through his hair and rubbed his forehead. "I've made a mistake that could put you in danger. Out of everything that's happened to me, you've been the best. I don't want to lose you." He pulled out a book from his bag. One of his journals. He slid the book over to me. Gretch leaned over the tray to sniff it before recoiling. I blinked and looked at him.
"Ford, what--" I was cut off by him rounding the table and kneeling beside me. He grabbed my hands in both of his and looked me in the eye, more serious than he'd ever been with me. Gretch, wanting a better view, crawled over the table to be beside me.
"Take this journal and hide it. Take it as far from here as possible. Go and never come back. Please." His voice trembled. "I don't want him to get you."
"Who? Who is going to get me? What aren't you telling me?" I pulled my hands from his to hold his face, tears brimming my eyes. "Ford, tell me what's going on, why do I have to leave? What will happen to you once I do?" Tears poured down my face as I bit back a sob. I'd been so worried about him, about why he'd been so distant. Then he was asking me to leave. Leave Gravity Falls, my home, the only person besides my palisman I trusted fully with all my heart. I didn't want to go.
"I can't tell you. Please, believe me, it's safer this way." Ford reached for my face, eyes flitting back between my own. He leaned in and kissed me softly, barely a whisper on my lips. My eyes shut, allowing more tears to fall. I pushed into him, wrapping an arm around his shoulder, and deepened the kiss.
"I can't leave you." I said against his lips as we both pulled back slightly. I kissed him again. "I can't leave you, Ford." Our foreheads were pressed against each other.
"You have to." He pulled away and stood up. He grabbed his bag and turned to leave. Gretch chased after him immediately. I watched him go for a second, tears still falling down my face, before grabbing the book, and running after him. Grabbing the strap of his bag, I pulled him back.
"If you're going, then take this with you. I won't be part of something i don't know about." I shoved the book into his chest and glared at him through my tears. He looked at the book and then me before steeling his gaze. He shoved the book back into his bag and left. The front door closed, and I made my way back to the kitchen, Gretch following sadly behind. The soup had gone cold.
~*~
We hadn't spoken in a month. Four weeks. Thirty days. I went to his cabin to see him but his friend, Fiddleford McGucket, was on his way out and warned me to stay away from Ford.
"For your own sake." He said, rushing to his truck, bags in tow. "He's gone insane." I'd still knocked on his door for the next week. No reply. Gretch continued to keep an eye out and told me whatever they deemed relevant.
The next three I wallowed in my grief. Moping around the house, not taking care of my plants, or myself. I could barely brush my teeth or eat. My body odor followed me like a cloud. Days blurred together. Gretch tried to help me, but they were just as upset. Eventually, I had to go out to get more groceries.
On the way to the store, in my sweatpants, hooded sweater and muddy boots, I passed by Ford's cabin flying low to the ground on Gretch. As I looked towards it, my heart clenching painfully, the trees began to shake. I looked around in confusion as Gretch and I slowed to a stop. Then back to the cabin. The basement windows lit up a bright blue. Before I could stop myself, I flew straight towards the door, using my magic to unlock it. Bursting into the foyer, down the steps to the basement, I saw two figures.
There was Ford and someone else who looked like him. Stanley, his twin brother. Ford had told me about him. Ford was floating in the air, waving his limbs around, trying not to get pulled into a giant machine glowing with the light I'd seen outside.
"Ford!" I yelled, running to help him. Gretch almost reached him as he screamed his brother's name. He was sucked into the portal faster than I could cast a spell. "FORD!" I fell to my knees in front of the portal, next to where Stanley was standing. He was gone. My tears became my closest friends in the past weeks. These ones felt different. They hurt more, like daggers down my cheeks. He was gone. My friend, the one I adored and trusted the most. Gone. I sobbed out his name again, looking at the ground, Getch placed their head into my lap.
"Uh, are you...Did you...know my brother?" The voice made me jump. I turned to Stanley. I'd forgotten he was here in my anguish. I sniffed and wiped my face on my sleeve.
"Yes. He was my friend."
~*~
Ford had been gone for 30 years. After he'd been taken through the portal, Stan and I began a sort of friendship. He was brash and rude, his voice was gruff. He was different from Ford in so many ways, but so similar. Our friendship wasn't like the one with Ford. It was less lunch dates and more I'd bring him meals and take him shopping.
He'd convinced a crowd of shoppers that he was the mysterious scientist in the cabin while he was shopping by himself one day. I'd gotten very angry at him and refused to talk to him for a week after that. Eventually, I came around to it, realizing that he does need to make money somehow.
In time, the "Mystery Shack", as Stan called it, became quite profitable. People were attracted to its unbelievable aura. Personally, I found most of Stan's grotesque attractions to feel like home. I'd known someone who looked like the "Eyeball with Legs" back in the Boiling Isles. Gretch was glad Stan never asked them to be an exhibit. Sometimes, I feel as though Stan took inspiration from my stories.
It was summer when the twins came to Gravity Falls. Stan told me I wasn't allowed to do magic or talk to them about the strangeness in our little town. I told him that I wasn't going to hide who I was from anyone, and if he had a problem with it, don't let them go out by my cabin. We had a heated argument about that. I had resolved to not speak, or even go looking for him or anyone from the Shack that whole summer.
Of course, that didn't stop them from looking for me. Apparently, Ford had written about me in his third journal, and Dipper had stumbled across it. It lead them both to my doorstep with a gentle knock on the door.
"Hello?" As I opened the door, I saw two children, tweens, it seemed. The girl was holding a video camera at my face. "Oh!" They looked familiar almost.
"Uh, hi, uh..." The boy ruffled through a familiar book. I realized then who I must've been talking to. This must be Dipper and Mabel. The Pines' genetics must have been strong, they looked just like their great uncles. "Are you the witch of the woods?" His question made me laugh slightly. Gretch poked their head out the door to sniff at the children, causing the girl to gasp and coo at them, holding a hand out. I debated telling them both to leave, but it had been a while since I'd had company. Besides, it was getting a bit dark, and the woods were dangerous for children to go out into.
"That's what the townsfolk call me, yes." I gestured for them to come inside. "Would you like some tea?" The girl quickly came in with an excited smile. She was already petting and baby-talking Gretch. I chuckled.
"Oh, you're so cute! What's your name?" She looked around my living room and gasped. "I love your curtains!" She raced over to touch them before her brother stopped her, scolding her in a hushed tone. I smiled at them before going into the kitchen with Gretch in tow. They followed soon after.
"I'm not going to eat you, despite what the other children might say." I grabbed three tea cups and started the stove. "I don't do much other than tend to my plants and feed hikers that come by." I placed teabags into a teapot.
"So you're...not a witch?" The boy asked. I laughed again and ushered them to sit at the table. The girl gasped at the center piece. A lovely potted plant of flowers Ford had gifted me a long time ago. They were spring flowers, so they had stopped blooming. I smiled fondly at them.
"What kind of plant is this?" She touched the leaves gently. "It's so pretty."
"They're called shooting stars." I swirled my pointer finger in a green circle, causing the flowers to glow green as well and bloom. Gretch sniffed them, then sneezed. "They're normally a spring flower, but I'm able to keep them going with the sunroof in place and a bit of magic.
"So you are a witch!" The boy yelled. The kettle whistled and I quickly went to stop it. "This is incredible! Mabel! Did you catch that on video?" His sister, Mabel, looked at the camera, which had been placed facing away from the plant, towards a window.
"Whoops." She fixed the camera to face the flowers, which had ceased glowing and sat, bloomed, but otherwise non magical. He groaned in frustration and looked at me.
"Would you do that again? For the camera?" He gestured to the technology. I finished making the tea and brought it over, giving them each a cup.
"I would," I sat down in my own chair, "but the flowers are already bloomed, dear." I took a sip and set it back down. Looking at him with a small smile full of humor. Gretch huffed in their form of laughter. Ford had always called me a smart ass.
"Darnit!" He put his head on the table. Mabel reached over and patted his back before taking a sip of her tea. She hummed in delight at the taste and finished the cup in a few gulps. I offered her more, which she gladly accepted, drinking more before scratching Gretch on the head. The palisman leaned into her hand.
"I could do something else for your, oh, what are you needing the footage for, Dipper?" My question made his head shoot up. He looked at me in surprise. I realized that I'd called him his name before he'd told me.
"How do you know my name?" His eyes widened. "Do you read minds?" I was already shaking my head before he finished. Gretch huffed another laugh.
"I know your uncle, is all." I held my hand up to stop both of their questions. "Stan and I are, well, I suppose you could call us friends."
"Are you two in a relationship? Are you in love?" Mabel stood on her chair, her hands planted on the table as she leaned towards me. I scrunched my face in slight disgust even thinking about being with Stan. My palisman sneezed and shook their head.
"Absolutely not." I huffed and rolled my eyes. "Not even if he begged." The very idea of Stan being who I came home to made me very uncomfortable. Besides...I still dreamed of Ford. I regretted that our first and only kiss was when he was leaving. Maybe if I'd been braver in the beginning, said something sooner, he'd still be here. Maybe it'd have chased him away earlier than he did.
"Um, witch...sir? Ma'am? Sma'mir?" Mabel's voice drew me out of my reverie. I blinked and looked at her. She tilted her head in confusion.
"Pardon, I was leagues away. Did you say something, dear?" I looked at the clock to see the time. "Oh, that might have to wait. You two need to get home." I stood and ushered them to the living room where I grabbed my warmest shawls. They would have to do, my coats were buried in the hall closet. I wrapped one around Mabel, as she was the closest, so that it covered her head. when I turned to do the same to Dipper, he refused.
"I'll be fine, I don't need it." He held up his hands and I put mine on my hips. My eyebrow arched as I gave him a look that said this wasn't an argument. Gretch went behind him and gently nudged him towards me.
"It gets cold at night, especially in the woods." I quickly threw it over his shoulders and over his head like his sister. Mabel giggled as she pointed the camera at us. Dipper's frown deepened as his cheeks reddened. "I won't have you catch a chill on my watch. It'll just be another thing for Stan to b-ahem, yell about." With them properly bundled, I wrapped myself up and had Gretch turn into a staff. Both children gasped.
"I definitely got that on video." Mabel said as I waved them both to get on. Mabel in front of me and Dipper behind, I took off, up and over the trees. The twins both yelled out, though I suspected for different reasons.
As we walked up the porch, the door swung open to reveal Stan himself. He looked from both of the twins then to me. His eyes darkened slightly.
"I told you not to talk to them!" He pushed them both behind him and pointed a finger at me. "You said you wouldn't!" His glare matched mine. I pushed his hand out of my face and lifted my chin.
"Children, cover your ears." I spared them a glance to see them do so. My finger replaced his between us. "They were deep in those damn woods at dusk! I wouldn't have had to take them home if you had been doing your fucking job of keeping them safe! No wonder they're up to their goddamned knees in the supernatural of this fucking town!"
"How much did you tell them, what did you tell them?!" He got closer to me, dangerously so. I pointed my palisman staff towards him as a barrier. "So help me, if you told them-!" That made me scoff.
"Oh, please, I didn't tell them anything." I scoffed and waved my other hand to dismiss the thought. "Do you have such little faith in me? After all these years?" A sigh left my lips as I shook my head.
"Just stay away from them!" He pointed a finger at me again. "They don't need to be involved with all this weirdness." His statement made me roll my eyes and I turned to leave.
"They're already too invested in the weirdness, Stanley." I turned my head to look back at him over my shoulder, mounting my palisman. "They won't end up like him in one summer, but if you're that worried, keep them out of the woods." With that, I took off into the sky.
~*~
The children clearly didn't listen to Stan, if he told them to stay away from me. They came around my home every few days or so, asking me about myself and the woods surrounding. I'd been vague about my friendship with Ford, for Stan's sake if nothing else. Gretch enjoyed their company, especially Mabel's. She would bring the palisman snacks and plenty of affection. Waddles and Gretch became fast friends when the pig was brought along as well.
Mabel had latched onto my story of him and was sobbing by the time I'd told her he was gone and I'd never see him again. Dipper also seemed disappointed, wanting to meet the scientist. He'd asked if I was talking about the author of the journals. I'd told him no. Gretch whined at that, clearly frustrated I wouldn't tell them anything. I just shooed her away.
They told me about their adventures and a figure named Bill. I'd sat eagerly by, hearing about their encounters. They had been in danger multiple times over the summer and I'd nearly gone to shout at Stan some more before they said they didn't want him to know. I explained to them that not telling Stan was a mistake. He is their guardian for the summer and needed to know where they were so he could help if needed. They disagreed and went home. I'd asked Gretch to watch over them for a while to make sure they weren't in too much danger.
It was sometime after Mabel's sock opera when the kids invited me over. Well, more Mabel did, with Stan's permission. Though the man had been rather grumpy over the phone. I was amused by Mabel's antics and agreed, soon making my way over there. Gretch sniffed the air and shook their head, rubbing their nose.
"Oh hush, I'm sure Stan can't stink that bad from out here." I joked before knocking on the door. "Should we invest in nose plugs for you?" The door opened before they could retort. Mabel squealed when she saw me and pulled me into the cabin and to the living room.
"You're going to love this guy, trust me," She squealed again, "I'm a master match maker." I laughed at her enthusiasm. She was determined to have me meet someone. The only time she'd stopped was when she'd found out Stan had a crush on Lazy Susan.
"Mabel, I've told you already that I'm perfectly fine on my own. I really should stop ind--" I looked up to see the unfortunate suitor this time. My eyes widened and my heart stopped. I knew the figure instantly. Despite the wrinkles, my dreams made sure I'd never forget his face. "Ford?" His eyes widened as he recognized me. He said my name in a whisper. Gretch wasted no time in throwing themselves at him, circling and sniffing and bumping into him. He huffed a laugh and pet them gently.
"I didn't forget you either." He looked up from the palisman back to me. "I'd thought you'd have left Gravity Falls." His other hand twitched, as if he wanted to touch me. I couldn't hold back, I ran to him and wrapped him in a hug. The tears that had been building up overflowed.
"I told you I couldn't." I felt his arms slowly hug me back. He squeezed me gently and buried his face into my neck. I gave him one more squeeze before pulling back slightly to look up at him. Our eyes met and I smiled brighter than I'd had in years. He returned the gesture. "I'm glad you're back." Tears continued to slide down my face and I sniffed.
"You knew each other?!" Mabel's voice broke us both out of our little bubble. "What?!" She turned to Dipper, who'd just walked in, and shook him by his shoulders screaming about how this is a better story than the Dusk series. Dipper, having pulled himself from his sister's grasp, looked at me and Ford, still in an embrace. Mabel ran out of the room to go tell Stan.
"...When I asked if the person you were talking about was the author of the journals..." He furrowed his brows. I hesitantly pulled myself fully from Ford's arms and cleared my throat.
"I lied, yes." My hand was already up to stop him from asking questions or comment on my dishonesty. "Stan had asked me not to, it would have caused problems if you knew." The boy looked displeased with my answer.
"That's what Grunkle Stan said, too." He crossed his arms. "It's stupid! If we knew, we could have helped rebuild the portal and get Great Uncle Ford back!" His statement had Ford opening his mouth, but I was faster.
"Now, that's enough, young man!" I put one hand on my hip and pointed a finger at him. He jumped and his eyes widened. I'd never raised my voice at either of the twins before. "Stan is a ridiculously infamous liar, but this time he did out of necessity. You weren't there to see what happened after Ford was sucked into that portal, he was dealing with the grief of losing his brother and while I'm going to have very strong words with him out of earshot of you kids about rebuilding that machine, it's understandable how he went about things." Gretch sneezed, huffed and then looked away. I raised an eyebrow at them and put my other hand on my other hip. They gazed right back at me and yawned before laying down nonchalantly. I rolled my eyes. They never truly liked Stan. Ford laughed slightly at mine and Gretch's wordless exchange. I turned to him with a slight smile and a raised eyebrow. He only shook his head fondly.
"You're defending him?" Dipper stuck up his chin, ignoring the palisman. "I thought you guys didn't like each other..." A sigh escaped me at that. I crossed the room, pulled out a chair to the card table before sitting down. Ford followed to stand next to me, my heart swelled at the thought that he was here. Actually back.
"Stan and I don't always see eye to eye," I began, watching Dipper join me at the table, "but, well, I helped him for the first few months after the incident. With the portal, I mean. We looked through the research we had to figure it out."
"You helped with that?" Ford looked incredulous. "Why? It was dangerous!" His outburst made me look at him with a huff. Gretch snuffed out a laugh and made themself comfortable on the old yellow chair.
"I was getting to that." This seemed to placate him as he closed his mouth and cleared his throat in embarrassment. "Anyway, I had been helping him, reading through the only journal we had, before I'd looked at everything and used my oracle abilities to try and track down any others. I'd had a vision in my crystal of what would happen if I helped further and told Stan what I'd seen."
"I'm guessing he didn't believe you?" Dipper asked, rolling his eyes. I smiled at how the resemblance he had to Stan in that moment.
"He rolled his eyes just like that when I told him. Stan's always been a stubborn bas--ahem, man." I snickered, glancing at Ford and winking when our eyes met. His face reddened "It's a family trait, I've noticed."
"I'd hardly call myself stubborn." Ford crossed his arms and looked away. "It's not stubbornness when you're right." His defensiveness made me bark out a laugh. His face deepened in color as he refused to look at me.
"Okay, and when you told him what would happen and he didn't believe you, you stopped helping?" Dipper put his arms on the table and leaned towards me, eagerly waiting for the rest of the story.
"Well...not exactly." I looked off to the side, thinking how to phrase my words. "I mean, I stopped helping with the portal, yes, but I stayed until the Shack became more popular. In the beginning of the change, I understood needing the money, but the more ridiculous it became, the more I felt like it was wrong. We'd gotten into a huge fight over it. There's been tension ever since."
"So you and Gruncle Stan were never together?" Mabel's voice made me jump. I looked to see her sitting on the floor and Stan leaning against the yellow chair Gretch had fallen asleep in. He looked at Mabel in confusion. I rubbed my hand on my forehead and sighed.
"Mabel. I've told you this." I looked at Stan and scrunched my nose, he rolled his eyes, his arms crossed. "I have never, and I mean ever, considered Stan anything more than an unlikely friend." I looked at her and shook my head.
"Yeah, they're not my type anyway." He snickered. It was my turn to roll my eyes before crossing my own arms. I raised my eyebrows at him.
"Yes, his type is anything twenty years younger and doesn't have enough wits to realize he isn't as funny as he thinks he is." I smirked at the indignant noise he made at my jab. "Or a spider." My last comment made Dipper and Mabel laugh as Stan's face grew red.
"Hey! She didn't look like a spider at the time!" He grumbled and looked back down at Gretch, poking them to try and get them to move. They growled in response. "How do you even know about that?" He looked at the kids and then grumbled under his breath again.
"Besides," I looked at Mabel, "I have my eye on only one person. I have since I first met him." Her eyes sparkled as she looked between me and Ford. Dipper looked exasperated.
"Is he Great Uncle Ford?!" She stood up and pointed at us both. I chuckled at her enthusiasm. Ford looked at her, his mouth agape and cheeks red. Dipper rolled his eyes, but seemed interested as he eyed both me and Ford with interest.
"Yes." I smiled at him as he already opened his mouth, words spilling out before he could register what I said.
"That's hardly an appropriate thing to say--" He stopped and looked at me. "Did you say yes?" He was staring at me in amazement. I could see Stan gagging in my peripheral vision. Mabel giggled and Dipper started writing down on a piece of paper.
"I did." I raised my eyebrow at Ford. "Did you forget about that kiss? I'm a bit insulted." He blinked and cleared his throat, looking away. His face was so red, I thought he was going to faint from the blood rush.
"No!" He cleared his throat again. "No, I just...I didn't think..." His gaze softened and he reached out to cup my face. I leaned in, keeping eye contact as he rubbed a thumb over my cheek. My hand reached up and held his there.
"Ugh, gross. Get a room." We both looked at Stan who gagged again. "At least take it outside." I rolled my eyes again and stood up, bringing Ford's hand from my face to hold between us. He looked at me as I reached up my own hand to bring his face closer to mine. At long last, I kissed him. He made a muffled noise of surprise but quickly leaned into the kiss. Stan and Dipper both groaned as Mabel cheered. I pulled back and looked Ford in the eyes.
"I wish I'd told you sooner," I leaned in and gave him another kiss, "I love you Stanford Pines."
~*~
Weirdmageddon had been concluded, the twins, both sets, safe and sound. Dipper and Mabel had their birthday before saying goodbye. I'd cried as I hugged them. They'd each received a charm of good luck. Ford and Stan had decided to sail around the world, inviting me to join them. I'd told them I'd let them catch up for a few years before setting sail with them. I'd be here when they came back during the summers.
"Are you sure? We don't mind, really." Ford had encouraged, but I shook my head with a smile. Stan shrugged his shoulders with a small smile.
"Yeah, it'd be nice to have a powerful witch aboard." He smacked a hand on my shoulder. I laughed and patted his hand. He moved it back to his side.
"I'm sure you boys can handle yourselves. Besides, I've waited this long." I looked at Stan then Ford. Gretch huffed and sat firmly next to Ford, daring me to try and stop her from going. "Fine by me, Gretch. Go on with them, I'll see you in a few years."
"It doesn't have to be years..." Ford looked down at them with a sheepish smile. "You could join us at the end of next summer." Stan gave a noise of agreement.
"Yeah!" Stan gave me a nudge. "It'd be nice to catch up with you, too." We had gained some of our friendship back during the apocalypse and I was glad for it. I smiled and shook my head fondly.
"Alright, fine." They both smiled at my confirmation. "Send me letters in the meantime." Stan agreed and went to say one more goodbye to his protege, Soos, before getting the car. Gretch huffed and walked off, deciding to stay with me after all. Ford stepped closer to me, gently cupping my face in one of his hands. We both leaned in and kissed. Stan drove up and honked the horn, causing us to reluctantly part.
"I promise to write." He gave me one more kiss before getting into the car and they both drove off. I kept waving until they were out of sight.
"See you next summer." I said before heading back home with Gretch. My heart felt full.

My Husband, My Monster|Part 1|William Afton x Wife!Reader
Tumblr media
(A/N: So this is the fandom that won the poll! I'll try and keep these and Break Me Slowly regular, but still feel free to give me requests for both in my inbox, I do oneshots and headcanons as well as I'll answer your questions and comments! (Please just read the rules first) I think I have a general timeline and idea of the lore [It's FNAF lore it's complicated as fuck] so I'm going with my best guess on things. Hope you guys enjoy!)
WARNINGS: noncon, dubcon, power imbalance, age difference, manipulation, mind breaking, yandere themes, yandere behaviours, domestic violence, misogyny, violence, William's a warning himself, etc.
=============================================
Who knew that a bit of twisted words and cash made all of your problems go away? William had struggled to stay open with Henry Emily's company showing such strides in mechanical technology. He was still wearing homemade cloth suits while his rival had dancing puppets that children adored. His dreams and ideas were being stolen right out from under him in his eyes, rolling in mountains of debt and the threat of closing down looming over his head. They were his characters, his dream, his business idea, and the bastard had to steal it and make it better. Even though he had bought William out of debt all those years back, it didn't change the sting of defeat when the two businesses merged.
Now he didn't regret it, Fredbear's Family Diner was just starting out but it was already projected to be a success. His characters took centre stage and had never been more alive, delighting young and old alike, his legacy started now.
Which is when he noticed the girl sitting at a table with her friend, they were giggling and laughing together over some inside joke. William had always had a soft spot for pretty girls, his more reckless years spent taking what women offered him freely, now he didn't have the time.
However for this girl he might just be able to make the time.
Casually he walks over, pretending to just be passing by, when he spies the job application she's filling out on the table and catching snippets of their conversation.
"I'm just saying, you're not going to have time for school while getting even a part time job." The friend was saying this, a slightly concerned expression on her face. "And now offence, you're not the brightest bulb, you need all the time to study that you can get."
"Well thanks." She mutters, giggling slightly. "But I can't afford college with my situation now. Mom and Dad agreed to pay for most of it, but-" She hesitates with a blush. "I want the full college experience."
"Ooh~" Her friend seems intrigued. "My best friend finally loosing her innocence? Scandalous."
She scoffs. "Look I just haven't found the right guy yet, it'll happen when it happens."
At this William can't help but interject. "Excuse me, I couldn't help but glance over your shoulder and see you're applying for a job here."
She meets his eyes, and man was he a sucker for a pretty face. "Yeah I am, are you a manager here?"
He chuckles a little. "No actually, I'm the owner." While co-owner was technically true he liked to tell people he owned it solely to give himself an ego boost. "If you wanted, I could do the interview right here."
"Wait really?"
"Actually, she's fine, thanks, she's going to get a job with my mom or something. Come on let's go-" Her friend slides out of the booth, trying to drag the woman with her.
"Well I'm going to be brutally honest with you here ma'am, for a girl your age your options are going to be extremely limited. And even though the pay isn't great it's a great experience."
She stops, considering his words before waving off her friend. "Go ahead, I think I'll still fill it out, never hurts."
"If you'd like I can interview you right now, save some time."
"Oh wow that would be awesome-"
"Seriously? Listen, this guy gives me a weird feeling, let's just go okay? And I'll find you something better." The friend again reaches for her to come along, but the girl refuses.
"I'm serious, go on and I'll tell you how it went later."
With a huff her friend leaves, a clearly annoyed expression evident on her face.
William regains his composure before sitting across from her. "So, a job. Tell me what you can do." He crosses his hands on the table in front of her, a smile easily coming to his face.
"Well, I was thinking I would be a good server, I'm good with people, especially kids, and I love to clean. I can cook pretty well too but I think something at this scale would be too much for me." She laughs a little, clearly trying to ease a little nervousness.
He joins in on her laughter, hoping to make her comfortable around him, since that's what he wanted. "I suppose that's fair. Out of curiosity, why is it you want this job?" She was hired already, that he knew, a pretty face with a nice ass? What more could you want from an employee?
"Well I'm in college, and I want to be able to afford just some extras to really experience that life before it's too late."
"College?" He feigns interest, in his opinion all she was doing was wasting her most fertile years and her money. If she's halfway decent at any of her qualifications then she'd easily find a rich enough man like him, pop out a few kids and have a truly fulfilling life. "Can I ask what for?"
"Psychology, the human mind has always fascinated me."
"Oh yes definitely." He suppresses an eye roll, even more of a useless degree, maybe he could help this girl from throwing her life away because she thinks deep thoughts will make her money. "Then I should ask for your class schedule for hours."
"Right, I always keep it with me because I'm always forgetting." She giggles again, pulling it out of her purse and handing it to him. "I cannot work these times but anything else I'm there."
Wanting these hours to know when not to schedule this girl was the last thing on William's mind. "Well I'll do what I can, but it's not that easy, you have to be flexible in the real world."
"Of course, I understand that sir."
"William, call me William. My grandfather was sir and my father was Mr. Afton, so I'm just William." He flashes another smile, coaxing one from her lips as well.
"Alright, William." She tests his name out on her tongue with a soft smile and a subtle blush, the poor girl clearly hasn't been within five feet of a man before.
"Now Miss, have you had any work experience prior to this?"
"No, I haven't, this sounds entitled but I've never really had the need to up until now?"
"There's nothing wrong with that, although I'll need to teach you the proper dynamic between employee and employer. But I trust that won't be a problem, right?"
"Not at all sir-er-William. I'm more than happy to learn."
"Good, all you need to know is that I'm your friend, but I have authority over you so you need to follow what I say without question."
"Why without question?"
Oh she was so naive. "Insubordination, it's grounds with which you can be fired. So best not to stray too far towards that right?" He winks.
"Absolutely-" She shivers slightly.
"Then if that's it..." He draws the moment out for it to seem authentic. "Welcome to Fredbear's Family Diner and we're happy to have you on the team." He extends a hand to shake, which she grasps eagerly, her rows of white teeth on full display.
"Oh thank you so much! When do I start?"
"We'll have you start next week, let's say, Monday."
"That's perfect, that's so perfect-" She glances at the door. "I really should go, I think I've pissed her off enough as it is, thank you for your time." She shakes his hand and hurries out the door.
"Oh trust me, don't worry about it." He watches her go, a small smile coming to his face.
This was just the beginning.

“sylvie? we have a surprise for you.”
you opened your arms and your daughter came running towards you, wrapping her little arms around you. she pressed a delicate kiss to your growing bump, just as she always did, the little girls way of showing love.
“what is it, mummy?” she looked up at you with her big blue eyes, inquisitive as ever.
“well, my love,” george started, picking sylvie up. she wrapped her arms around her father, clinging to him. “do you want to know if you’re having a brother or a sister?”
“but… but i thought you asked the stork to bring me a sister.” she tilted her head in confusion, adorably perplexed. you smiled at her innocence.
“i think the stork wanted you to have a little brother, baby.” you cooed. her face screwed up even further.
“but i don’t want a brother.” sylvie looked, well, to put it plainly, pissed.
“unfortunately, you don’t get to choose, sylv.” george told her, sticking his tongue out to make her laugh. when she didn’t laugh, you knew you had a problem on your hands.
“sylvie, it doesn’t matter, darling. you’re still gonna have a new best friend that loves you so much.” you soothed. it was hard getting a child to understand the complexities of anything, let alone this.
“so, it has to be a brother?” the little girl sighed. you and george nodded your heads. “okay, fine.” she huffed, rolling her eyes.
you smiled, seeing the teenager grow in her already, and she was only five. you dreaded her growing out of this sweet, marvellous, little icon, but cherished every second you got to watch her grow.
-
that night, after you’d tucked in your young sleeping beauty, you curled up on the sofa with your husband. george’s hand rested on your belly, stroking soft circles into your taut skin.
“she took it better than i thought she would.” george reasoned. he was right, you’d both been expecting tears.
“she’s gonna be a great big sister.” you whispered, welling up at the idea of her being older, growing up too fast right before your very eyes.
“oh, sweetheart. i know it’s hard. but you know what?” george looked down at you as he spoke, gazing at you with every fibre of love you felt for each other.
“what?” you choked.
“she has the best mum who taught her how to love. even though she might not want a brother, she’ll still love him unconditionally. a bit like when you didn’t want to love me and now look at us.” his words were soft, teasing at the end and you couldn’t help but giggle.
george pressed a soft kiss to your forehead and you snuggled deeper into his side, your little boy kicking away.
“jesus, george, with the way this little guy moves his feet, he’s gonna be an f1 driver.” you huffed, rubbing over the spot where butterflies fluttered in your stomach.
“and what’s sylvie gonna be, hm?”
“sylvie? oh, she’s gonna rule the world.”

ONE SHOT !
Pairing: Conrad Fisher x sister!reader || My blog
Warnings: just pure fluff, conrad being a GREAT BROTHER 💪🏻
Requested by: Anonymous
This one really made my heartache because of how cute it is 😩 I love platonic fics, I love big brother connie, it’s so CUTE ! thank you for requesting this fic!
───────────────────────────
“Jeremiah please!” I pleaded — tugging Jeremiah’s arm, forcing him to teach me how to surf.
Him and Conrad would always surf whenever we came here in Cousins. I just watch them because my mom thought that It would be dangerous for me, she said that I was too young to surf. It was unfair!
Jeremiah groaned — “Dude, mom already said no! I don’t want to get in trouble” he said looking at me.
“You suck! I’ll just ask Conrad” Jeremiah scoffed — “Yeah ask Conrad! Like he’s going to say yes when he knows that mom already said no” I just rolled my eyes and walked away.
I saw Conrad near the shore, fixing his gears — ready to surf. I ran towards him, jumping on his back “Hi Connie!” I gleamed. He turned around and smiled at me.
“Hey there, sis.” he said, ruffling my hair. “So uhm..” I looked down, scared to ask. I’d say Conrad always had a soft spot for me but still he always follows what mom says.
Conrad looked at me, tilting his head — waiting for me to complete my sentence.
“Can.. can you teach me how to surf?” I asked — looking up to him, smiling widely.
When he heard what I said, his face lightened up. His face started to fill with excitement but he tried to hide it, just to tease me.
“You know if mom knew, you’d be grounded right?” Conrad said, smirking — teasing me. I pouted “I know, I just want to learn. Why can’t she let me learn, it’s only surfing plus i’m going to be with you guys!” I said, groaning — sitting down on the sand.
Conrad chuckled “Oh you big baby. Come on! I’ll teach you” Conrad offered his hand — pulling me up.
“Oh my god OH MY GOD really?” I said - grabbing his arm, jumping up and down. Conrad giggled “Yes! So go and get your gears, i’ll wait for you here” he said, pushing me gently.
───────────────────────────
“Okay, first we want to find your balance. Here copy me, stand on your board at an angle” I nodded and copied what Conrad was doing.
I found my balance right away, Conrad looked at my stance “See! you’re a natural at this” Conrad yelled — smiling.
“Okay I think you’re ready! Just watch the way of the wave, just do what I told you okay?” Conrad looked at me — I nodded.
“Come on, let’s go in the water” he l said as we ran towards the ocean with our boards.
I took me multiple tries to actually catch a wave but that didn’t gave me the reason to give up. I tried and I tried till I catched a wave or two successfully. “YESSSS!!” I yelled — putting my fists up — looking at Conrad. He looked back, smiling at me before paddling towards me.
“So did you enjoy?” Conrad asked, sitting on his board. “You know, I would’ve done it myself, just saying” I said shrugging — teasing him.
I watch Conrad get off of his board — he started walking towards me, holding my board — pushing me over.
“YOU SUCK! I DRANK SO MUCH WATER!” I said coughing from how much water I inhaled. Conrad just looked at me, laughing.
“Come on! We have to go back, mom might get mad” Conrad said, smiling teasingly. I panicked
“OMG! I totally forgot that mom didn’t know” I whined, Conrad just laughed at me.
We walked back to the beach house. As I reached the front door, I opened it quietly and tiptoed my way to the kitchen all the way to the end of the stairs.
“Where have you been, young lady?” Susannah said — squinting her eyes at me as I tried to sneak upstairs and go straight to my room — Conrad behind me.
“H-hey, momm-“ I said, smiling at her — waving “Go up, sis. Go clean up.” Conrad said — I turned to him, he was smiling at me so I smiled back and went upstairs.
“Connie, you can’t keep on taking the blame for your sister” I heard mom said — sighing. “Mom, she’s a big girl. She can do things that we’re doing, I just taught her how to surf that’s all” Conrad said.
“Surfing?! I told you and Jeremiah to never teach your sister how to surf! Come on, Connie. She’s too young for it.” Mom yelled at Conrad.
Conrad sighed “She’s my responsibility, she’s okay. She was good at what she was doing, I took good care of her, Mom. So don’t worry okay?”
Susannah just sighed — “Okay, I can never win against you. Just take care of your sister okay? she’s my little girl.”
“Ofcourse, Mom. You know she’s my little girl too.” Conrad said — before heading upstairs.
I just smiled after hearing their conversation about me. It was cute how Mom worries about me, but I know that my brothers are there to always protect me — I trust them with my whole heart.

The outcast twins (7)
lo'ak/ Jake and sister reader + others
Tumblr media
A new journey had began for the sully family tiro after they had left the forest, and seek refugee on the ocean. The journey had started off as hard and very emotional, but that all soon changed over time. Everyone has to start off with a journey in their life, that helps them become the navi they are later in life.
Y/n " ......" today was the day that spider and uncle norm along with some others will be coming to the village today, after many days of talking and wait today was the approved day.

twins " spider" the twins soon ran to spider and hugged him they were happy to see him in person.
spider " wow you two have changed and I love the look"
y/n " thank you and it good to see you as well have you gotten taller"
spider " yes and I seems like I might of have a growth spurt since the last time I saw you"
lo'ak " well now you and here come meet everyone in person"
spider " sure" the four metkayain teens and walked to the twins and spider.
aonung " wow sky people kids are very small close up you are the size of child"
spider " yeah I get that alot it nice to meet you all in person"
rotox " yes it good to see you hey why don't we show you around"
spider " sure dad can I go on tour of the village"
norm " sure but let he hug your cousins first" the twins had given norm a hug and hugged everyone else that they had missed so much. They all talked a bit more until the four reef teens had given spider the tour of the village, with the help of the twins as well.
sayou " so you all been friends since you were very small"
lo'ak " yes spider here will leave the base to come hangout with us, he had gained the name spider when we were very young"
tsireya " why spider"
spider " I was always running and climbing everyone that my dad stared calling me spider, along with everyone else and it was better then my name"
aonung " what the matter with your name I thought spider was your name"
spider " well I was dad after my birth father"
sayou " so norm not your dad by blood"
spider " no he took me in and raise me as his own with the help of others, you see my brith father is not a very good man and I was named after him ... we don't have a good relationship and I really don't wish to have my name like him right now"
rotxo " oh"
spider " yes so I have gone by the name spider"
tsireya " well that a good name"
sayou " yes it a good name"
spider " thank you"
sayou " hey we can start teaching you the ways of the water the next time, you are here so you can learn to adapt to your nee home"
spider " thank you"
spider " hey uncle Jake seem to be doing well since the last time, I had seen him"
y/n " yes he had been doing well since the last time we show you all, and it good to see him like this" the teens had looked over he was speaking with tonowari and ronal along with norm and max.
spider " yes dad thinks maybe being here will be good for uncle Jake and everyone else"
y/n " it will be good for all the adults and us"
tsireya " see all of you are becoming one of us right away" the teens had fallen out in laughter about the whole situation, it was good to see everyone getting along well. There had been some worry that everyone will not get along well but it seems like that was proven wrong.
That night
spider " I'm happy that dad allowed me to sleep over tonight"
lo'ak " it cool to have you spending the night with us"
spider " so dude what with you and tsireya"
lo'ak " what I don't know what you mean"
spider ' oh I don't do be acing like you were not all smiles when, you and her were all close today you have fallen in love"
lo'ak " okay I might or might not have a crush on her happy"
spider " super and what about you y/n and that sayou guy" you had blushed bright red, as your brother and spider look at you. Soon making both of the teens fall out laughing as you tru hiding your face.
y/n " I don't know why I missed you both being together" you yelled at the two as you turn bright red even more. making them laugh even more.
y/n " you know spider when you are here you might fall in love, and we will make sure everyone knows about it"
spider ' we will see about that"
???? " it was good to have you on the portal today Jake sully, you are very quikcy and skills as the stores say" the three teen had heard someone speaking with Jake.
Jake " thank you txedo"
txedo " your welcome"
???? " yes tonowari was right about asking you to come and meeting with your husband and dreamwlaker clan members, was good and fun"
Jake " well I'm happy everyone had been able to have a good experience today, and I have to thank tonowari and you both for let me come and help me understand more of the sea"
txedo " your welcome" the teens soon saw Jake coming near the entrance with the two adults from earlier today.
y/n " hey dad welcome home"
Jake " hey kids it good to see you are all inside, I thought you will be outside explore"
y/n " we were at first but came inside a an hour ago"
Jake " good oh kids this is Anii and txedo they are some members of the clan that tonowari introduced me to"
twins and spider " hello"
Jake " txedo and anii these are my twins lo'ak and y/n and my nephew spider"
anii " hello your father has spoken highly of you twins and spider as well"
txedo " yes we have also gotten to see you kids getting along with the tonowari kids, and be helpful within the clan it very appreciate"
y/n " thank you"
anni " we hope we can make your family and clan feel welcome here"
lo'ak " that makes us feel good and we are starting to feel like we are welcome here"
txedo " good"
anii " well Jake we hope to see you tomorrow we will leave you and your family to enjoy the evening"
Jake " yes thank you once again"
txedo " you welcome and thank you as well" the two reef navi had soon left a smile had grown on Jake face, as he greets goodbye to the pair. The three adults seem to make eye contact with each other and smile like children, who seem to be overjoyed about something. The three teens had taken noticed this behavior and some to exchange looks with each other, and smile at each other before Jake turns arounds and looks at them.
Jake " well who wants to help me make dinner" Jake had looked at the kids and smile brightly, at them after some talking it was agreed. That baked fish along with some satay vegetables will be the meal of the evening, with some sweets that spider had brought the family and some juice as well. It was good to have everyone back together after being away for so long.
spider " this place is so beautiful"
lo'ak " you haven't see it all yet spider you will soon see more, along with us as well"
y/n " we can finally see more of what we haven't seen before, and explore more of what the great mother has made"
spider " well I can't wait to see what happens I have made some records for kiri, neteyam and tuk hoping to send them, but I can't fearing they will never hear them and I barley got answers from them when I called"
y/n " we have done the same as well dad had read stoires for tuk, knowing there are nights she gets scared and can't fall asleep without them ... he left some with grandmother I think and neytiri but it matter if they had been kept .... he left records for neteyam and kiri as well .... I miss them and now I'm crying like a baby" tears were falling down your face your brother and spider, had brought you into their embrace,
lo'ak " we will all miss them and you are not a boy for crying" you had wiped away your tears, the three teens had talked a bit more about everything they saw today and the past days they were separated. They had made a small records as well knowing it might never be sent, but it was good anyways. The kids had gone to bed that night happy and feeling good and blessed that they were back, together after being away for so long. That night everyone seem to have gone to bed happier and cheerful, dreaming of what tomorrow will have for them.

Summer nights (legend)
Rating: G
Summary: You and Legend spend a night together at a festival and get to relax.
Warnings: none
Other: If I missed anything, please let me know
This is the 1st place prize of my 100 follower raffle for @andichrist35 I apologize for how late this is.
-------
Legend isn't really too sure what you're going to think of tonight- but he's just hoping you like it.
He can feel the tight and fluttering feelings that are settled firmly inside his ribcage. He is familiar with it- and he still hates it.
He doesn't know if he should actually be this nervous. It's a night off from fights and traveling. You're probably going to be thrilled!
The festival is still just barely starting, the sun hanging heavy in the sky as it slowly sets. The strung up jars with fireflies for the night are becoming more useful.
People running the stalls or entertainment rush around in haphazardly attempts to finish a last minute detail.
He's dressed in his good tunic, and he's even left his hat at camp. Just this once, you know?
He just wants to give you a nice night out. You certainly deserve it!
He just wishes he'd been able to get Time in on it and not Wild. The cook may have a good heart but the penchant for attracting trouble is a real issue sometimes.
But it's fine. Legend is sure it's all fine.
After all, you are more than capable of handling yourself.
And Legend has only been waiting here for two whole minutes. He's definitely over thinking this.
You're going to love it, he just knows.
He misses his hat.
"You're overthinking." His Zelda -Fabel- says from behind him.
"When am I not?"
"When you sleep."
"Haha."
"(Y/N) is going to love it. You are even all dressed up. What is there to even worry about?"
Legend looks to her, finding some relief in the familiar face of the princess. Though the smug look he finds doesn't do any more good for his nerves.
"You're not seeing it the way I do."
You're still not here, which is okay. It's still early, but the crowd is thickening at an exponential rate as the dusk settles around the town.
"No. You're shorter than me, shall I bend down?" She asks, and the look on her face says more than her tone or words.
She's enjoying this. The jerk!
"Zelda." Legend frowns at the young woman.
"What? It was a suggestion!"
"You know it wasn't."
"Legend?" Your voice calls over the chatter of those milling around.
Legend's head snaps around so fast he should have whiplash but somehow he doesn't.
Fabel laughs at the action, shaking her head at him. Entirely too happy to see Legend be so genuinely happy.
But also knowing she's going to give him so much shit for this. Like a good friend would.
"Legend?" You call again, closer this time by the sound of it.
"(Y/n)!" Legend calls back, clambering up on top of the base of one of the street lamps.
The vantage point allows him to spot you quickly. The figure you cut in your outfit is enough to make him wonder about the health of his heart.
Is he still breathing?
Just seconds after he spots you- your eyes land on him. The way your face lights up is quick, smitten, and melts his heart on sight.
"Link!" You call happily, rushing through the crowd and towards him.
You weave through, apologizing without care as you accidentally bump into those who don’t have the sense to get out of your way.
Legend climbs back down and feels the dopey smile take over his face. He absolutely adores it when you call his real name.
It feels right. In a sappy, domestic way.
You fling your arms around his shoulders happily, almost knocking both of you to the ground.
Your hold is strong and warm and perfect. He's not sure he'll ever truly get used to it. He's not sure it matters if he does or not.
As long as you keep doing this.
"Hey, babe." He greets with a soft smile as he steadies you.
"You look very nice."
Legend flushes pink. He might as well be trying to imitate a strawberry at this point.
"Ha, uh- thanks, Babe."
You just laugh, pleased as you can be to find yourself here with him.
"You do look nice though. I meant it."
"Thank you… You look good too, y’know?"
"Thanks, Ledge."
"So, did you want to eat first?"
"That sounds great actually." You say, turning to look around the large town square in hopes of finding whatever it is that smells so good.
"You'll like Luigi's stall then, come on."
Legend leads you gently, his hand in yours as you two walk. The crowd is thick and loud but no one causes any real problems for you.
Street lamps cast the majority of the light, the oil lamps in the glass enclosures warm and bright.
There's a large stone fountain in the middle of the square. It has a large statue of the era's Zelda standing back to back with Legend. It appears to be a life sized sculpture, water falling from the harp the princess holds and from the stone sword Legend holds.
The fountain seems to be some sort of last stand piece, but it's beautiful. And you're always happy to see Legend getting the recognition he and all the boys deserve.
"Is something wrong?" You ask as you follow Legend around the fountain in the middle of the area.
"No. Just- I don't dress like this often. I'm usually traveling or something. "
"You miss your hat. Don't you?"
He shouldn't be surprised you catch on so fast. You've always been good at reading him and you've always been smart.
"It's stupid I just wear it so often it feels weird-"
"Link." You say as you fish his cap from the place you've stashed it. Whether in your pocket or your bag.
Legend turns his head to look at you.
"Oh-" he manages as his eyes land on the Cap. "How did you get that?"
"Bribed the Sailor to help me." You say with a grin, "I had a feeling you'd want it back."
Legend stops walking, turning to face you fully. He takes the cap gently, "Thank you. You -... you always seem to know what to do."
"You're sweet." You say in response, "Always flattering me."
Legend puts his hat on, and you can see the way he relaxes. The familiar weight of the fabric seems to put him completely at ease.
"I flatter you cause you deserve it, (Y/n)."
You flush this time. Your own face warms up enough you might be able to fry eggs on it if you tried.
"You're unusually sappy tonight. Is there something I don't know about?" You ask, half genuinely curious and half trying to downplay your own smitten behavior.
Well, at least Time and Twilight aren't here to comment about the way you and Legend make cow eyes at each other. That phrase seems to be a solely farm boy thing in this group at least. And you are happy to escape it.
And you are even happier to escape the comments of Wind. The boy means well but he makes things awkward sometimes when he tries to tease people about love.
"Mh, maybe." Legend says, "Why? Do you want a surprise or something?"
"Maybe I do. Who doesn't like a nice surprise from time to time?"
"Food first, then we'll see about a surprise."
"Sounds good."
He grins happily, leading you again, the source of the great smelling food gets closer with each step. Your hand is soft in his- or at least softer than his.
You are not a chosen Hero and haven't had the chance to really ruin your hands the way Legend has.
And for that he is forever thankful.
And every scar you do have he swears makes you more pretty. Because he's a sap. You know?
The biggest sap.
You guys stop in front of Luigi's stand, side by side l.
"Oh- Link! Hey!" The tall man says, smiling as if he's known Legend a long time.
"Hey, Luigi."
The menu is written in meat script on a large board atop the stall. The lettering is done in bright red ink.
You and Legend both take a moment to find what you want and order.
Legend orders your food and pays, with a quick "Thanks Luigi."
You two step aside to wait for your orders, hands still holding each other as the festival really comes to life.
"Thank you for dinner." You say, genuinely appreciative for him paying and for him taking you to a stall so you don't have to wander aimless.
"Anytime." He says back.
You look around again, the new angle of the area allows you to notice different things .
There's an area that seems to be reserved for dancing where a live band plays a peppy set of songs and people dance happily.
The sun is gone now and the oil lamps that hang from posts burn merrily. The stars above twinkle almost in time with the music too.
"Are festivals always like this?" You ask, looking at your lover with bright curiosity.
He laughs, as if he finds it endearing that you even have to ask that. Though he forgets that your home is very different from his or most of the other heros' homes.
He's sure your home is great though. It made you. And he really likes you a lot. Lobes you, if he's going to be honest.
"They're all like this, though sometimes the drunks get really angry and fight."
You make a face at that, causing Legend to laugh again. You never cared for bathroom fights back home, whether witnessing them in person or on screen. You especially didn't want to be involved in one.
Ew.
"What's so funny?"
"Just the way your face spoke for you right then."
"Hey now, I can barely control my mouth, my face is beyond help."
"Your face is very pretty even when it is saying mean things."
"Aw, thank you!"
He shakes his head at your antics, even as the soft smile stays in place. Like it usually does around you.
"You're thinking all loud again." You say, tilting your head to the side a little.
"Mh, only good things this time."
"What about?"
"You mostly. You're usually on my mind these days. Sappy as that may sound. Or whatever. "
"Oh, Ledge."
"Yes?"
"You're a sweetheart. You know that?"
"Only when I wanna be, babe."
"But you still are."
He just rolls his eyes at you fondly, his smitten smile seemingly glued to his face tonight. If anyone asks about that he'll just shrug and ask them why he shouldn't be obvious about his feelings? After all, life is short.
Why not be open with those you love and trust?
He's never understood wasting time on not being open to those you love. It seems like a fool's errand.
"Link!" Luigi's voice calls, letting you and Legend both know that your order is ready.
You both grab your food and move to the side where picnic tables are set up. The tables are mostly empty for the moment.
You and Legend both sit down at an empty table, setting your meals down in front of yourselves.
You taste your food and it's perfect. Exactly as you ordered, with all the right flavors and ingredients. The texture is heaven and you will have to remember to find Luigi next time you're in town.
"This is amazing."
Legend grins at you, crooked and genuine. "I'm glad you like it. Luigi has always been a great cook."
"Obviously. Is your's any good?"
"Yeah, he always outdoes himself."
"He's phenomenal. Remind me to try to track down similar recipes later."
"Sure thing."
"Oh- Link!" A man calls, moving to stand beside the table you two are at. "Is this the (Y/n) you told me about?"
"Yeah, it is."
"I'll let you be then, just saw you and wanted to say hi."
"Well, hi."
Your laugh is warm as bright, drawing the attention of both men to you without meaning to.
"What's funny?" The stranger asks.
"Nothing just- Link. They way he said it-" you break off into laughter again, whether it's genuinely funny or not doesn't matter. It still hit just right.
Legend shakes his head at you, "You're weird, (Y/n)."
"Always have been!" You chirp at him in response.
"You two are cute." The man says, "I do have to go though, my daughter wants me to meet up with her."
"Go on then Jack, tell Millie hi." Legend says, waving the man off with a nod towards the crowd.
The man leaves with a friendly wave.
"You know everyone here. Don't you?"
"I do."
"Do you like that?"
"Mh- usually. It has its perks."
"I bet."
"Are you doing alright? I know you aren't as used to traveling and questioning me and the guys are used to."
"It's different for sure, but it's hardly the worst thing. Now that shadow? Well let's just say I'd do more than kick him where the sun doesn't shine."
Legend laughs, shaking his head. "You and me both, babe."
You both eat the rest of your meals, idle chatter about whatever your mind comes up with. The evening is a comfortable temperature as you take time to enjoy the moment.
Inside jokes are cracked and you both seem thrilled to have them.
It's not until you both throw away your disposable cutlery and dishes that you notice the music beyond knowing it's playing.
The music is good, familiar even. You aren't sure where you've heard it before but the lively tune is nice and you can't help but want to get closer.
"Do your festivals always have a live band?" You ask, taking Legend's hand into your left.
"Unless one of the main players is sick."
"They're really good."
"I'll tell them you said that."
"You should."
Legend just snorts at that, "Yeah. You wanna go dancing?"
"Oh absolutely."
"Then I should warn you I'm not very good."
You laugh, shaking your head, "That's okay, most of the dances I know would make the people faint." You say, remembering the Tilton dances that have wormed their way into your brain for better or worse.
"I'd pay so much money to see that. But we probably shouldn't try to do that hm?"
"Probably not. I'd hate to cause a scene."
"At least not tonight?"
You laugh again, you find yourself doing that a lot when you're with him. He always seems to be able to make you feel better.
"Come on, if we're gonna dance we should get to the main floor." He says.
And you can't argue with him. That makes plenty of sense to you.
"Lead the way then, Link."
Legend gives you the sappiest smile of the night so far before leading you by your joined hands through the crowd and to the main dance area.
You join at the perfect time, in-between songs as people shift back to give a little space to other dancers.
A few couples push out of the crowd while a few more join in.
"Ready?" Legend asks.
"Yeah."
You and Legend face each other, his hand on your hip and his other holds yours. Your hand goes on his shoulder.
A lively waltz starts, and Legend leads you in the dance. You vaguely know the dance, whether from your own experience or from movies is irrelevant.
Legend smirks at you as you dance, hat in place even as he is dressed up and waltzing. It makes for quite the picture- a very good picture if you say do yourself. And you do- say so that is.
"You're doing great." He says.
"Thanks. You're better than you let on."
He barks out a laugh at that, shaking his head. "This is nothing. You should see some of the other people here when they really get into it."
"I'd love that."
"We'll have to watch. They usually start a little later."
You laugh as Legend spins you before bringing you back into the main dance steps.
It's nice. Dancing with him. The snark remarks he makes are familiar and expected.
The gentle way he guides you is almost perfect.
You aren't sure how long you've been dancing but you also don't really care.
The night is getting a little chillier and it's nice when Legend leads you off the floor. Sighting that he needs a break and that you probably do too.
The dancers on the floor are really getting into it now. Some people are swinging their dance partners around above their heads, cheering and smiling.
Some are even tossing their partner and swinging them in fancy ways. One young couple executes a move you'd only seen in movies before!
"Are you sure you aren't just trying to get out of swinging me around like that?"
"I think I'd drop you and break us both." He says with a snort.
"Fair enough. I don't think I could do that."
Legend just snorts, leading you further from the floor and the main part of the crowd. He motions to a small sitting area with a few benches set there.
Not a year round thing if you had to guess, the benches are probably only here on festival dates or huge events.
Legend sits down, patting the space beside him when you don't sit down quickly.
"I don't bite."
"Tell that to Twi's poor arm." You snort, recalling the mess that led from Legend having a nightmare to the goat incident of July (AKA the reason only the farmboys are allowed near goats), to the biting of Twilight's arm. The poor rancher.
"Hey now that was one time! And an accident!" He protests playfully, shoving your shoulder.
You bump your shoulder back into his, "Vengeance is mine!"
"You wish," Legend declares, swatting at your shoulder without any real effort.
"Whatever Ledge."
"You know I have a real name."
"I know you blush pretty when I say your real name."
"Shut up!"
"Nope!"
Legend groans as he drops his head to rest against your shoulder, eyes closing as he does.
"Are you tired?" You ask, inclining your head to see him better. Worry for his own being bubbling up from your stomach.
"A little. Not the worst I've felt." Legend admits with a half shrug. "Why?"
"Just curious. You know I worry."
"Yeah. You should stop that."
"You're a huge hypocrite there, Ledge."
"Ha! As if."
"I sprained MY ankle last month and your mother henned me a week after it was healed."
"It was justified! The quest lifestyle is one that gets people hurt, (Y/n)."
You sigh, reaching to brush the hair out of his face. It's nice to get to be so domestic, but it's still a lot. You can't help but expect a monster attack.
Legend yawns slowly, covering his mouth with the back of his hand. "How are you holding up?"
"I'm okay," You say as you survey the skyline, the bottled fireflies and the stars combine into a beautiful picture. "It's nice. Being here with you, I mean."
"I'm glad. I was worried you would like it."
"Are you kidding me? I adore this! We don't have many things like this back home, I guess music festivals come closest."
You reminisce for a second about the concerts and festivals you've either seen or wanted to see. The captured videos don't seem to do the events justice.
"Music festivals? Your culture celebrates music?"
"Sort of. They're like e outdoor concerts but with a bunch of bands at once."
"That sounds very… loud."
"It can be."
"Maybe we can go to one when this is all over. I'd love to see more of your world."
"I'd love that."
"Though I can't imagine a world without so many stars."
"It's different, I'm sure I'll always miss these stars when I'm home."
"Ha, as if we'd let you suffer such a fate. Between us all we can probably fight whatever has obscured them."
You laugh at that, imagining the boys all trying to fight the invisible villain called Centuries Of Light Pollution. The image conjured is a semi-tangible blag of smog gas in the form of a large human with a monopole, cane, and tophat. You name this villain Mr. Light Pollution
You'd pay so much money to watch your friends fight Mr. Light Pollution.
"I'm sure if you manage to fight it you'd win." You say, deciding to stay encouraging.
Mostly because you aren't sure how to explain the real issue at hand and how it came about to your beloved boyfriend.
It doesn't matter though, they can't actually fist fight light pollution. Probably…
At least two have fought a god… huh. Maybe they could?
You'll have to explore that idea later. Once the world has been saved and you've figured out the secret to time travel. As one does, obviously.
(It's probably something stupid and easy to miss that holds technology back from time travel. Something like a miserable placed one in math or something. )
"Of course we'd win." Legend says, sure of himself in the way only someone who's had to probe themselves over and over is.
"Yeah. You would."
"Do you want to go to an inn or stay out longer?"
"Let's go to the inn. It's getting a little too cold for me."
"That sounds good."
Legend stands up, holding his hand out for you.
You take his hand as you stand up, smiling your thanks.
"Let's head in then, come on babe."
Legend is walking then, his hand still in yours as he leads you. He glances back at you every so often, just making sure you're okay and keeping up.
For such a sourness he can be sweet as pie.
The walk back is short and calm, chilled as it is. The crowd thins out the further from the main festivities you both get.
Laughter still echoes in the wind from the people celebrating even as the night gets older.
"Did you have any fun?" You ask, nudging him with your shoulder as you squeeze his hand with your own. "Or was it unbearable and awful?"
"Yeah, I did have fun. Did you?"
"I did. It was a lot more fun than I expected."
"That's good. I'm glad you enjoyed it. I think we both deserve a break."
"More than. Remind me to work the tenderness outta your shoulders later, okay?"
"Don't gotta tell me twice." He says with a snort of laughter.
You just shake your head at him.
"You know, I wish we'd brought a camera."
"A what?"
"A camera. Like Wild's slate, it takes pictures."
"Oh yeah, you've mentioned them before. "
"Yeah, I like them. They let me keep memories better."
"That's what Wild said too."
"He gets it." You smile, "And that way I can tell my friends and family about you all and have them believe me."
You're hopeful that you'll get to have a wall dedicated to the chain and Legend. Mostly Legend if we're honest.
"You say that like you'll never see us again after this."
"Oh, I will. But they'll want an explanation before I bring nine men home that can and will fight for those they care about."
"Oh. Yeah, they'd probably not expect to see so many heroes in one place."
"Exactly. I'm sure they'd have questions. I think pictures would help a lot. Hopefully Wild and Wind will lend a hand with that."
"I'm sure they will. Even if you have to blackmail them."
"I could ask." You say, "I'm sure they'd help."
"Yeah. Probably so. But blackmail would make sure of it."
"You're a bad influence, Ledge. The worst."
"And yet you love me."
You give him a smile, the one reserved almost completely for him. Smitten and not even a little shy about it.
"Yeah, I really do love you, Link. I'm glad you know."
You watch him blush, starting at the tips of his ears and slowly spreading until it meets on his nose. He blinks at you a few times.
"Yeah?"
"Yeah." You agree.
"Well, I love you too. You got that?"
"I do."
"Good."
"I think so." You say, pushing the door off the inn open with a grunt.
The door is solid wood- much heavier than the usually hollow doors of today.
You lead Legend inside, pressing the door shut behind you and hearing the mechanics of the now click back into place.
The inn is warmer than outside, a low level fire burns in the hearth of the main room. You don't bother with any late pleasantries, those still in the lowest level of the building are either far too drunk for decent conversation or they work here.
The stairs creak as you and Legend climb them to the third floor. The banister is solid though when you use it.
"Do you have the key?" You ask Legend in a softer voice, careful in attempts to not wake those who sleep.
"Yeah." He says, fishing it from his pocket with his free hand.
"Good." You say, stopping outside your room.
Legend unlocks the door and then shuts it once you're both inside. He locks it for good measure, a way to keep Wind from dogpiling you tomorrow morning.
Inside the room is a dresser, a door leading to a closet, a door leads to a bathroom, a full size bed with a carved headboard, and two nightstands.
The headboard is solid and sports a carving of birds on a tree branch. Well done and coated in varnish.
You and Legend let go of each other's hand in the interest of bathing and changing into pajamas.
The bathroom that attaches sports heated running water. Which you take advantage of as you bathe, whether showering or taking a bath. The water is set just right as you scrub off the dirt and sweat of the day.
Once you are in your sleep clothes and you've done what you want to with your hair you get into bed. Finally allowing yourself to relax.
You sink into the mattress, feeling spoiled with the actual bed instead of a bedroll on the ground. Though you kiss the sounds of the campfire that lull you to sleep at night.
Legend joins you ten minutes later. His body warms beside yours as the blanket settles over you again.
"So… was that something you'd wanna do again?" He asks.
"Yeah, I think so. But I wanna get better at dancing first, you did all the work."
"I think you did well."
"You're very biased, love."
"I am not. I've known some very bad dancers."
"Like who?"
"My Zelda. She was awful when she first started. You wouldn't believe it."
"I doubt that. Aren't royals naturally good at rich people's things?"
"No. She stomped on my toes for so many years. I think they're permanently bruised."
"I doubt it."
"You're just really optimistic, babe."
"I have to be. You're all so pessimistic. "
"It's realistic in our line of work."
"I know."
"Good. I don't want you to be so optimistic you get hurt."
"I know. I just want to be happy, it's a lot easier with you though."
"Why? Are you being sappy again?"
"Pretty much always. You make me happy, Link. Of course I'm going to be optimistic when I'm happy."
"You're sweet, (Y/n). But you're like a sick tree right now."
"What?"
"Extremely sappy."
"That's a bad joke, Legend. Negative ten."
"You're hurting me where it hurts most!"
"Where, your sense of humor?"
"No. My pride!"
You laugh at that, rolling closer to him so you can wrap your arms around him. It's nice to see him so relaxed.
It's nice to know that he feels safe enough with you to relax.
This whole thing is just so nice.
Legend wraps his arms around you too, his chest rises and falls rhythmically as you start to really get close to sleep.
"Good night, (Y/n). Sleep well, I love you."
"Night, Link. I love you too."
He gives a pleased hum at that, moving to kiss your forehead. He settles back down and you feel him really fall asleep quickly.
A skill the heroes all have. The ability to fall asleep anywhere and to fall asleep fast.
You can feel yourself drifting off slower, basking in the figurative and literal warmth the moment provides.
The entire evening has been great. From the food made by Luigi to the dancing you enjoyed with Legend. Even the conversation was nice.
You don't ever want this kind of time together to stop. You'll do whatever you have to just to keep things like this a common thing.
And you're pretty sure Legend agrees.
Besides, even though you gave him his hat back- it was cute to see him without it. He looked a little lost until he got it back.
But the fact that he went out is his way to dress up for you? To go out of his comfort zone for you?
You're beyond touched.
He really does treat you well. He spots you in so many ways, even if there is always endless banter. You like it that way.
You'll have to arrange more days like this for him. It'll do Legend good to take more breaks and spend time doing things normal non-hero people do.
Maybe you can take him to a music festival.

It was quite a tiring day for Scaramouche. However, you, his next door dormitory neighbor refuses to let him rest.
"Leave.", Scaramouche said.
"No fucking way", you replied. You didn't want to go back to your dorm room, which was occupied by your sleeping drunk friends.
"Oh my fucking Archons, why did you even have them drink at your place anyway?", he said. He did have to admit he had a soft spot for you since you knew eachother since- who knows your parents introduced you to eachother when you two were very, very, young.
"You know I'm quite generous and I sort of had it planned out... I'll just sleep in my dorm with their stanky asses then". You turned around in quite a rush, but felt a strong grip on your wrist.
"I didn't say you couldn't stay", Scaramouche implied. "But you said- nevermind".
---
There you were, sitting on his bed while Scaramouche was on his phone. But little did you know he was viewing the posts of the friends that drank in your dorm room after partying. You thought about your current feelings for him amidst the creeping silence. Did he find you annoying? Does he want to stay friends?
Does he like anyone?
'Damn my thoughts became deep', you mentally said to yourself . You had a feeling of awkwardness and started to break the silence. So, you had a perfectly and maybe slightly sadistic idea.
'Find his ticklish spots.', is what you thought.
'Okay (Y/n), DO NOT, ABSOLUTELY DON'T FUCK THIS UP.'
"Hey Scara",
"What?", he said with an annoyed tone.
"Are you ticklish?"
Silence.
Scaramouche suddenly felt a slight heat creep up to his face. "So what?!", he remarked. "Oh so you are ticklish, or maybe you're ticklish somewhere...", you said as a devious smirk started to form on your face.
"Then... here!"
You started tickling the spot on his side, just above his waist. He then flinched and started bursting out into a fit of joyful laughter.
"Sto- mph!!" Scaramouche said, getting interrupted as he giggled in between syllables. "Ooh~! It seems that the all so mighty Scaramouche is all so sensitive and ticklish in this spot!~". Scaramouche tried to fit a frown in between his laughter, you were very, very lucky that he didn't lash out at you the first time you said something.
It was quite refreshing though, to both of you. You get to tease the man you like, and he spends another moment of being grateful you're in your life. Honestly, how come you're both still platonic friends?
You eventually stopped as Scaramouche was even more exhausted after laughing. A part of you expected for him to be upset, which was right.
Luckily, for Scaramouche, he knew all of your ticklish spots. "Why you-!", Scaramouche exclaimed as he reached out to the same spot where you tickled him. You bursted out into a fit of laughter as you tried to push him away.
"Aha~! Wait noho~! I'm sorry ok! I'll pay for it accordingl-" you were interrupted with more giggles and laughs. "You should, and you will", Scaramouche said while stopping his revenge to a halt and decided on your punishment.
"For your punishment, I've decided we confess some secret we have to eachother. I won't be unfair with you, so be glad I gave you this kind of punishment."
You were taken aback by his statement. Preparing yourself for this, you've decided to confess this one thing you've been hiding from him all these years.
"Fine, my secret is..."
"Is?" Scaramouche asked. He was curious about what secret you might hold.
"Is that, I've liked you since elementary...."
'What?' Scaramouche thought, a shocked expression painted on his face. He didnt expect this kind of secret, let alone something you've been hiding for years. To think that his feelings were returned by his beloved was the best thing he could ask for.
"Fine then, my turn."
You were getting anxious at the thought of rejection. You thought it was weird of you to just say it to him, but it's better sooner than later since you would become adults soon. You watched as Scaramouche took a deep breath and glanced at you longingly.
"I like you too, (Y/n)".
And there it was, the sentence you've longed for so long, the sentence you didnt think you would be hearing after years. You felt heat rise up to your cheeks as you looked away, embarrassed.
Scaramouche thought you looked beautiful, at this very moment. How weird, wasn'tit? Both of you thinking so similarly and lovingly of each other but ending up hiding it in the end.
Scaramouche reached out to your chin and lifted it up, urging your face to look at his.
"Let's date then".
Your heart was beating so fast, it even skipped a few beats as if it were racing through time.
"I- um-... I don't know. What if-"
"Don't worry about that, nevermind".
You thought he was going to kick you out of his dorm room and avoid you at that moment, but it was rather more of something you absolutely didn't expect.
"I don't like you (Y/n)," Scaramouche stated unfinished, "I've grown to love you", he said with a comforting smile, one you've always adored. It was almost like he was glowing at that moment.
"Sleep beside me (Y/n), let's sleep together."
You nodded as you kept your head down in embarrassment as you laid down with him, your fingers intertwined with his.
"From now on, we're not some platonic childhood friends. We're lovers."

My thoughts on OP ships except I’m being 100% honest (P.3)
SLIGHT SPOILERS FOR THE HEROINES ONE PIECE NOVEL
Tumblr media
*LawBepo
- I don’t know about you but to me I’m neutral about it, if you ship this, good for you! If you don’t then okay!
- I do think it’s a cute ship though with their interactions, relationship between the two, etc..
- And it actually MAKE SENSE
- Like hear me out, Law would actually marry a polar bear because of how much of a freak he is and considering he’s a pirate, he wouldn’t care if other people think it’s weird, at least he has his fluffy boyfriend.
- I draw these two a lot in my sketchbooks, like every single one just HAD to have Law and Bepo together or else those sketchbooks are not mine
- he has a soft spot for Bepo, definitely Bepo. He hates everyone and everyone but his crew, Corazon and BEPO.
-In the SBS, Oda did tell us about how Law met Bepo (with Penguin and Shachi), at that time Law was a kid along with the three others so that means Law and Bepo knew each other since they were children and are super close.
- FUNFACT : You know how Law hates Umeboshi right? Well Bepo likes eating it with onigiri pretty much! I like to imagine that if someone ever gift Law some onigiri with umeboshi inside, he will give them to Bepo.
*Smoshigi
- Small girl with her gigantic DILF (idk what that means but I think it’s fitting).
- it’s the size difference isn’t it?
- I like their chemistry a lot! It’s pretty cute in my opinion.
- for some people, a 10 year age gap is too much (Shigi is 23, Smoky is 36, so that means it’s 13 year age gap then) but they’re both adults so I guess it’s legal? I mean Rayleigh and his wife has a 10 year age gap and they’re old now-
- this might be controversial but… Smoshigi is better than Zoshigi or Lawshigi in my PERSONAL OPINION.
Zoro is confirmed to have no interest in women by Oda and for Law i don’t think he’d date her or even taken interest in her in general.
(I telling all this like a hater I’m so sorry I don’t mean to sound like one DDDX!! If you ship Zoshigi or Lawshigi it’s totally fine and valid! It’s just my opinion!)
*Sanami
- MY FAV SHIP!!!!! I love them so much they’re so cute!!! <3333333333
- Theres this one part of the OP stage actors and actresses like an event or something?? And I saw a video of these two where basically Sanji is being a simp as always, drops on one knee and like hold out his hand to Nami
Nami holds his hand then blows him a kiss!!!!! IT MADE HIM STARTED BREAKDANCING ITS HONESTLY SO CUTE AGSHSVHSHSHSHWHHSHW
- They’re the DEFINITION of GIRLBOSS MALEWIFE FRFR!!! No 🧢!!!!!!
- wait did I already put this ship in part 1 or part 2? Man idc anymore I just genuinely LOVE this ship!! If it becomes canon I will become happy! (Even though it’s highly unlikely it’s fine!)
- I just love their moments together you know? When I was young I always wanted the two of them to kiss a lot, I have never change at all 😈
- Like look at the sad French man! How can you not kiss him!?!?!?! He makes you desserts you really like, compliments and swoons at you everyday, cooks for you, loves you for who you are, patient and will listen to you whenever you have a bad day, shows affection to you, a gentleman, IN A SUIT, ALSO WEARS AN APRON AS WELL, Respects you, etc… etc… he’s the only French I like <333/j
- They’re also both good with kids and have a soft spot for them! Oda stated that if Nami is ever kind to someone it’s women and Children, for Sanji he always has a motherly nature surrounding him, his interactions with the DK crew proves this!!!
- AGH I LOVE THEM SO MUCH!!!! IM DYING!!!
*KozaVivi
- a HUGGGGEEE fan of childhood friends to lovers trope <3333333333
- I love these two a lot, I ship them a lot TOO! I want them to have more interactions!
- in the Heroines novel, I just love Vivi’s episode with Koza and the love letter (NO CONTEXT HEHEHE 😈) it’s so so so SOOO sweet it’s giving me diabetes
Like it’s so funny, full of sweetness and wholesomeness! I love them!
- I wish these two would be canon… if not it’s fine as well… because I have another ship up my sleeve… *takes out hand*

Life is a Game (and True Love is a Trophy)
Chapter 9
Ch 1 Ch 2 Ch 3 Ch 4 Ch 5 Ch 6 Ch 7 Ch 8 ao3 link
*Eddie*
Eddie pressed his fingers to his mouth as he walked down the front steps, still feeling the ghost of Steve's soft lips against his own. He felt like he was walking through a dream, instead of the nightmare that his life had become in the past 24 hours. Though that feeling began to drift away rapidly as he got into his fan and drove away from the trailer, and Steve and Eleven.
Once he was alone, with nothing to distract him and no sound other than the hum of the engine, Eddie couldn't help but start spiraling, just a little.
Could Steve have really meant what he said, when it was far more likely that he had just latched onto Eddie because he was the first person who’d helped him after two years in what was essentially captivity?
Did Steve actually like him, or was this some kind of Stockholm Syndrome thing?
No, that was for kidnappers.
Florence Nightingale syndrome?
It was a slightly better match, but it wasn’t as if he’d nursed Steve back to health or anything.
Okay, so maybe there wasn’t a fancy name for it, but the two of them had been pulled together under wild circumstances. Was it so surprising that they might cling to each other as anchors for their respective ships in this storm?
A little, considering they were both boys and he had been 100% sure that Steve Harrington was straight, right up until the moment he’d kissed him!
Eddie knew, at least for his part, that it was more than a thing born of shared trauma. He’d been crushing on Steve for years, and had fantasized about kissing him countless times. The reality of it had been better than he could have ever imagined, too good to be true in fact, or maybe that was him projecting his own fears.
It was a scary thing to be handed everything you ever wanted, and even more frightening to accept it when you’ve spent so long being absolutely sure that it would never be an option.
As he pulled into the high school parking lot he decided to just put the whole thing out of his mind for now, as best he could anyway. There were much more important things to worry about than his love life.
The bell rang, and he watched from his parking space as students began pouring out of the school. He spotted Mike and Will first, the two of them having grown so tall this year that they stood out from the crowd. He peered behind them, knowing Lucas and Dustin wouldn’t be far off. The four boys were rarely without each other, except when Lucas had basketball practice of course. Which he must have today, Eddie realized, when he found Dustin bringing up the rear on his own.
He stepped out of the van and made a beeline for the boys, wanting to catch them before they got on their bikes and took off.
“Hey shitheads!” Eddie shouted, hands formed around his mouth to boost the sound.
All three boys whipped their heads in his direction. Dustin’s expression morphed from a wide happy grin into a worried frown in an instant. Mike and Will just looked confused. Eddie jogged the last few feet to them, in a hurry to get everyone on board and get back home as soon as possible.
“Is everything okay?” Dustin asked, at the same time Mike said, “Where were you today?
“Everything is fine” Eddie began, holding significant eye contact with Dustin, then looking at the others. “But there is something back at the trailer that I need you all to come see.”
Dustin gasped.
“What is it?” Mike asked, sounding annoyed.
Will was quiet, watching it all go down with a slightly amused smile on his face. He was definitely in the running to be Eddie’s favorite today.
“All will be revealed in due time, young Wheeler. Go throw your bikes in the back of the van. I’m gonna see if I can snatch up Sinclair before his practice starts.”
Mike opened his mouth, either to ask another question or to argue, but Dustin elbowed him in the ribs and told him to hurry up. Will had already unlocked his own bike from the rack and was walking it towards the parking lot.
Yup, favorite kid.
Eddie set off in the direction of the gym. He opened the door only to see Chrissy who had just come from the girls' locker room. It was perfect timing.
She smiled at him and ran over, her sneakers squeaking on the court as she did.
“Eddie! You weren’t in school today. You okay?”
He smiled in return. Chrissy was a literal ray of sunshine and he couldn’t help but react to that, no matter how weird his day had been.
“Yeah, I just had some family stuff to take care of.”
He scrambled for a way to ask her to come with him. If things did pan out the way they feared, she was in very real and immediate danger, and he just couldn’t imagine letting anything happen to her.
He didn’t really want to give anything away until he could prove it, and there were too many prying eyes and ears for him to just blurt out - I found Steve Harrington in the woods! But he had to try something.
“I know you’re about to start cheer practice,” Eddie began, “But…uh, do you remember all that stuff we talked about in the library?”
Her smile faltered a bit but she nodded encouragingly.
“There’s been some developments and I'd really like to fill you in on what I found out, if you wanted to come back to my place? The boys are coming too, my cousin and his buddies.” He added quickly, worried that she might somehow take his invitation the wrong way.
Chrissy glanced nervously around the gym, and he was pretty sure she was about to agree to go, when two things happened at once. The outer doors swung open loudly, revealing Dustin, Mike, and Will, who must have gotten tired of waiting and came to look for him, he guessed, while the door to the boys locker room was also thrown wide as the entire basketball team came trotting out. They were buzzing with pent up energy and Jason Carver was at the head of the pack.
He spotted Eddie immediately and rushed over. With no hesitation the jock planted himself between him and Chrissy.
Jason crowded Eddie as he shouted in his face, “Get away from her, freak! She doesn’t want to talk to you. What are you even doing here?”
“Jason, stop!” Chrissy shouted.
He waved her back dismissively. “No, no, it’s alright babe, I got this.”
Eddie grit his teeth, fuming, and not only because of the way Jason was talking to him, he could deal with that, but the way he was so openly dismissive of his girlfriend. Someone he was supposed to love. Chrissy deserved better.
“What is it, Munson? You like to watch the girls while they practice, huh? You got a thing for looking up their skirts?” Jason accused loudly, then lowered his voice to a sinister whisper.  “Or is it the boys locker room you’re more interested in getting a peep at?”
It was a dangerous accusation, and it unnerved Eddie a little that Jason might have suspicions about him. If he’d said what he did a little louder, there might be a lot more guys looking to jump into this fight. He tried his best to ignore it like he would any other barb, but it was an effort to keep from overreacting and rising to the bait
“Oh fuck off, you neanderthal. We were just talking.”
“What did you call me?”
Eddie looked at Chrissy over Jason's shoulder and rolled his eyes. She stifled a giggle, stopping abruptly and going wide-eyed when Jason turned his head to glance back at her.
“Don’t worry about it, Carver.” Eddie answered. “Now, if you would just kindly back the fuck up so I can finish my conversation with the lovely Ms. Cunningham here, I’ll be out of your hair in a jiffy.”
“I don’t think so. What makes you think she wants to talk to somebody like YOU anyway?”
In Eddie’s defense, it had been a long and mostly no good very bad day. He stepped into Jason, closing the very small gap that remained between them until they were almost nose to nose.
“And what exactly is that supposed to mean?” He said, jabbing the other boy in the chest with his finger.
Jason shoved Eddie away from him hard. He stumbled, but Will, Mike, and Dustin were all there to steady him.
“Stop it, Jason! He's my friend!” Crissy shouted again, still hovering but trying to stay out of the way. This time her boyfriend either didn’t hear, or completely ignored her.
Eddie shoved Jason right back, pleased when he had to take a step back to maintain his balance. Unfortunately, Eddie hadn’t really been in that many fights. Guys usually took one look at him and backed off, assuming he carried knives and shit just because he wore leather and a battle vest. He was briefly a drug dealer, so maybe that had something to do with it too. So, he was a little unprepared for Jason cocking back a fist and punching him square in the face.
Chrissy looked like she was about to jump on Jason’s back to stop him but suddenly Lucas was there. He caught Jason’s arm, stopping it before he could land another hit.
“I knew you weren’t really one of us Sinclair! I should never have told the coach I had a good feeling about you! I’ll have you thrown off the team for this!” Jason shouted.
He shrugged himself roughly out of Luca’s grip and walked back over to where the rest of the team was doing warm ups and pretending not to watch the drama unfolding in front of them.
Chrissy looked torn. She watched Jason walk away, bouncing her eyes between him and Eddie as she gnawed on her bottom lip.
“I’m sorry,” she finally said to Eddie. “I don’t know why he gets like that.”
“Don’t apologize, it’s not your fault.”
She nodded a little to herself, sending a sad smile his way and turning to follow after her boyfriend.
Eddie sighed. He’d have to let her go for now and hope that tomorrow wouldn’t be too late. He felt like an idiot, he should have known better than to approach her when that meathead was bound to be close by.
“You good?” Lucas asked. Producing a small towel from his pocket and handing it to him to dab away the blood from his nose.
“Yeah, sorry if I made trouble for you.” Eddie said, gesturing off towards the rest of Lucas’ teammates.”
“Don't worry about it, they all know how Jason can be. I’m sure the whole thing will be forgotten by tomorrow. What are you guys doing here anyway?”
“We need you to come with us.” Dustin butt in.
Lucas looked at all of them in turn. “Party business?”
“Don’t ask us,” Mike said, hooking a thumb in Eddie's direction. “He won't tell us shit.”
“I’ll tell you everything when we get to the trailer, I promise. We can’t talk about this here. You in, Sinclair?” Eddie asked.
“Fuck it, why not. Didn't feel like dealing with Jason’s attitude today anyway.”
“Good choice.” Eddie said, grinning. “Come on boys, let's get out of here.”
-
On the way back to his van, Eddie noticed Nancy and Jonathan about to get into her car. He’d thought for sure that he had taken too long and missed them, but somehow he’d gotten lucky.  Maybe the eldest Wheeler got caught up doing newspaper stuff after school. Whatever the reason, he was grateful. He told the boys to get in and trotted over to the couple.
Eddie found he had mixed feelings towards Nancy. She’d been so great about the investigation thing and told them everything they wanted to know, and she was nice about Eddie’s own reaction to it all, but there was a small part of him that bubbled up with jealousy when he thought about her and Steve being reunited.
He knew she was with Jonathan now, and had been for a long time, much longer than she’d dated Steve, but the thought still set his teeth on edge. He shook it off, he had no reason to think they would still be interested in each other, and even if they were, it’s not like he had a claim on Steve now just because they’d made out a little bit. Nancy cared about Steve, and she deserved to know that he was alive and safe. Well, as safe as any of them were now.
“Shit, man, what happened to you?” Jonathan said as Eddie got close. He must still have some blood smeared on his face.
Eddie shrugged, shoving his hands into his pockets. “A disagreement between me and one of our resident jocks. No big deal. Listen, uh, are you guys busy right now?”
The two of them shared a look. “Not really, why?” Nancy said.
“I can’t tell you here.” He was getting really tired of saying that already. “I’m sorry to be cryptic about it, but I think you’ll understand when you see. I’m taking all the kids back to my house right now, could you follow us there? There's something I need to show all of you.”
The couple looked at eachother again, confusion clear on their faces, but for whatever reason they agreed. Probably because he already had their brothers roped into something. Oh well, he'd take it. This had all gone much easier than he thought it would, apart from the black eye he could feel forming.
-
The short ride back to the trailer park was uncharacteristically quiet. Dustin remained silent, though Eddie could practically hear the thoughts churning in his head. The other boys knew at this point that Eddie wasn’t going to give in, so there was no point in questioning him on the way.
He pulled in front of the trailer and got out, ordering the boys to stop when they tried to walk right inside, insisting they needed to wait for Nancy and Jonathan.
He and Steve hadn’t exactly planned this part but Eddie made sure to stomp his feet on the steps so that anyone inside would hear them coming. He turned to his small assembled crowd, feeling like he should give them some kind of warning.
“So, this might be a bit of a shock. Just…everybody try to be cool, ok?”
Eddie spun back around quickly to avoid the several sets of very concerned eyes that were aimed in his direction. He opened the door and stepped inside, doing a quick sweep of the room, finding Steve and Eleven sitting at the kitchen table with Wayne. He stepped further in, letting everyone trail in after him.
Wayne, who’d had a sandwich halfway to his mouth, let it drop from his hands to hit the plate with a little thud. He rubbed at his face muttering, “God damnit Eddie.”
Eleven didn’t seem surprised at the influx of new arrivals, Steve must have filled her in when she woke up.
“Wait, is that?” Lucas started to ask but was cut off by Nancy’s gasp of, “Steve?!”
Steve stood, giving her a little wave. “Hey, Nance.”
She hesitated, just staring at him for a handful of seconds before stepping forward and throwing her arms around him. “You’re alive.” She murmured softly into his chest, eventually pulling away to look at his face.
“Oh my god, you’re alive!” She said again, much louder this time and with tears in her eyes. “Are you okay?” She asked, reaching up to cradle his face in her hands.
Eddie had that feeling again. He knew it wasn’t right but he felt like she was touching something that belonged to him. He held the jealousy in, Nancy and Steve had been something to each other once upon a time, and they were entitled to this without his interference.
Steve lightly took her hands and lowered them from his cheeks. Then he finally looked up and met Eddie’s eyes, smiling as he said, “I’m okay, Eddie’s been taking good care of me.”
Oh and didn’t that make his stomach flutter. Eddie could feel himself blushing a little under Steve’s gaze, glad that no one was really paying attention to him. Everyone was too focused on the missing person in the room, now found, and the young girl at the table who was a stranger to all of them.
Steve broke their stare after a moment and looked around at the rest of the assembly crammed into the small space of the trailer.
“Hey guys.” He said, nodding to the younger boys.
Dustin, he greeted by name, causing the other three to look his way accusingly. He shrugged at his friends, mouthing the word sorry while looking far too smug to mean it, before walking over to take a seat next to Eleven.
“Hey man.” Jonathan said, finally emerging from a stunned silence as Nancy came back to stand near him. “I’m, uh, glad you’re alright.”
“Thanks.”
“So that’s it? You found Steve?!” Mike blurted out, finally losing patience. Honestly Eddie was surprised he’d lasted this long. “I mean, not that that’s not cool and all but what’s with the secrecy, and why is he here instead of with his parents or Hopper?”
Eddie finally sidled up to Steve, close but not touching like he really wanted to. He wasn’t sure how he was meant to act now in general, let alone in front of this many people, so he was happy enough just to be near the other boy.
Steve wasn’t.
He took that one step closer that caused their sides to brush and rested his hand on Eddie's lower back where no one else could see. “Are you still sure about this?” He murmured the question softly into Eddie’s ear.
Eddie nodded, even as his heart started to race from the gentle touch and the feel of Steve’s breath on his skin.
“There’s a lot we need to tell you all, starting with introducing you to someone. This is Eleven. She and I have been held against our will at Hawkins lab for the past two years.”
Mike, Lucas, and Will’s jaws all dropped simultaneously. Dustin grinned from his place next to the girl. She looked a little shy suddenly with all the attention and Eddie noticed Wayne gave her a little pat on the back in support.
As he watched the interaction, and how the girl smiled up at his uncle, it hit Eddie suddenly how lucky he was to have made it out of that place when he did. Luckier still that Claudia had found him and took him home. He could have died, or been made to spend the rest of his childhood in that place the same way Eleven had. He honestly wasn’t sure which one was worse.
-
Steve and Eddie took turns telling their parts of the story and then together explained the parallels between the game and the real world. Surprisingly, or maybe not so surprisingly, it didn’t take much to convince the boys that they were telling the truth. They quickly accepted the fact that much of what they had played through was real and they even took Eddie’s backstory in stride, though they had a lot of questions that he didn’t have the answers to.
Jonathan and Nancy were a bit harder of a sell. He was quietly skeptical, while she kept trying to poke holes in everything and seemed completely unwilling to accept that anyone could have the type of power they were claiming. Finally, with a flick of her hand El sent a magazine that had been sitting on the kitchen counter flying in Nancy’s direction. She caught it on instinct, her mouth opening in a soft ‘oh’ of surprise as her brain caught up to what it had just witnessed.
The rest of the room went dead silent at the display, save for Dustin who was giggling like an idiot at having finally seen what he’d been waiting for since the morning. He offered her a high five, which she returned with gusto, smiling wider than Eddie had ever seen her in their short acquaintance.
Things went a lot quicker after that.
Wayne didn’t say much throughout the explanation, which wasn’t surprising to Eddie, his uncle had always been a quiet person, but he watched the man's face fall as they reached the end and had to tell of Eddie’s character's death at the hands of Vecna via the demobats.
“You boys said things don’t always go the same as your game, right? Do you think…does that mean…is that likely to happen, Eds?” Wayne's voice shook as he finally spoke. His worry for his nephew clear as day.
“We’re honestly not sure.” Eddie admitted reluctantly.
“That’s why we wanted to tell everyone who might be involved as soon as possible,” Steve added.
“There’s more too. Fred, and Patrick were victims in the story, and Chrissy. I tried to get her to come with us but her boyfriend interrupted.” Eddie said, mostly to Steve since the others had been there.
“Yeah! You should have seen it, Steve.” Dustin jumped in. “Eddie got a good shove in but then Jason punched him in the face.”
Wayne shook his head, grumbling softly, “Gonna have to call that school tomorrow. Ain’t right letting my boy get hit like that.”
“I’m fine.” Eddie insisted, catching his uncle’s eye.
“Jason Carver?” Steve asked, jaw tightening every so slightly.
Lucas nodded, answering him.
Steve touched his fingers lightly to Eddie’s chin, examining his face carefully. “Did he hurt you?” He said softly.
It was almost too much, the way Steve was looking at him, and a lump formed in Eddie’s throat. “I’m fine.” He forced out, hoping his voice sounded more normal than he felt. He swallowed hard and tried again. “I'll probably have a hell of a black eye later, but that’s all.”
“So, what do we do now, what’s the plan?” Will asked.
Steve and Eddie shared a look. “We hadn’t really worked out much past telling everyone what we had figured out.”
“What about Max and Billy?” Lucas asked.
Steve frowned. “Who is she again?”
“Max is a girl the boys tried to make friends with, she and her shitty brother, Billy Hargrove, moved here the fall after you got taken.” Eddie explained.
“What do you mean, tried to make friends?” Steve asked.
“We were all hanging out at the arcade once, a few days after we met Max.  Billy showed up early to pick her up. He saw her and Lucas holding hands and he freaked out.” Dustin said. “I’m pretty sure if we weren’t in public he would have killed lucas.”
“Yeah, he said some pretty messed up stuff.” Will added.
Lucas sighed sadly. “She wouldn’t talk to us again after that.”
Will patted him on the arm. “She doesn’t talk to anyone, Lucas. It’s not your fault.”
“He’s right.” Mike agreed. “She always acts pissed off, but sometimes when she thinks no one is looking her eyes go all sad. I don’t think she has any friends.”
Eddie didn’t like the sound of that. “So, she’s alone, and possibly depressed.” He pointed out, looking at Steve.
“And If Henry picks his victims like you said, then…” Steve trailed off.
“She’s screwed.” Eddie finished the thought. “Do any of you dipshits know where this girl lives?”
The younger boys all shook their heads, they didn't know.
“Cherry Street.” Wayne answered out of nowhere.
Everyone including Eddie stared at him for a moment in surprise.
How and why the hell did Wayne, of all people, know where this girl lived?
“That boy you were talking about, the racist one? I know his old man, Neil. He’s a supervisor at the plant and a real piece of work, apple doesn’t fall far, y’know? You go get that girl, but be careful.”
Eddie gaped at his uncle. “You’re seriously on board for this?”
Wayne laughed. “As if I could stop you. You boys go, I'll handle things when Jim gets here.” He paused to check his watch. “Which should be any time now. Probably better if you stay out for a while and let me explain to him what’s going on. He’s gonna blow his stack.”
“Jonathan and I can stay and help you explain it to him, Mr. Munson. If that’s okay with you?” Nancy offered.
“It’s fine with me, and please call me Wayne.”
Steve wanted El to stay behind too. She wasn’t happy about being left out while her brother put himself in danger, but she agreed once Eddie promised to keep an eye on him for her. It was decided that the four younger boys would go along with Steve and Eddie to the Mayfield/Hargrove house, because at least she knew them a little from school, and it would be less creepy than two older boys showing up alone unannounced.
They were getting ready to leave when there was a knock on the trailer door. Eddie, thinking it was Hopper coming early, opened it without hesitation.
It wasn’t the police chief, it was Chrissy Cuningham.
She started profusely apologizing the second he opened the door, but stopped abruptly in the middle of her speech and let out a loud gasp when she spotted Steve hovering behind him.
“Oh my god, I can’t believe you found him!” Chrissy cried out.
Eddie took her by the hand and pulled her inside, he didn’t want to risk his neighbor overhearing anything. “Actually, he sorta found me.” Eddie told her.
She smiled brightly at Steve and hugged him before turning back to Eddie. “Is this what you wanted to tell me?”
“This, and a lot more actually.”
Chrissy looked around, finally taking notice of just how many people were inside the small home.
“Why don’t we take her with us?” Steve suggested. “I think I can explain it to her on the way.”
Eddie shrugged and looked at Chrissy. “You up for a little field trip?”
-
Dustin called shotgun. Eddie would have preferred to make the trip with Steve sitting by his side, but he and Chrissy had crawled into the far rear of the van so they could talk, giving the back seat to the other boys.
The whole way there Eddie couldn’t stop staring through the rear-view mirror at the two of them huddled together. It wasn’t a jealousy thing this time, it was the fact that Steve kept catching his eye in the reflection, and smiling in a way that would’ve made his knees give out if he wasn’t already sitting down.
When he almost missed a turn for the second time, Dustin elbowed him hard in the side. “Eyes on the road, Romeo.” He kept his voice low enough that Eddie didn’t worry about the other boys hearing it over the music, but he still blushed and swatted at the kid’s arm. “Shut up!”
It turned out that Chrissy knew exactly where the house was, since Billy had been on the basketball team with Jason before he graduated. They parked a few doors down, trying to scope out the situation a little before going in.
It looked like the kids' parents must be out, as the driveway was empty, but a blue camaro that Eddie knew belonged to Billy was parked out in the street. That was going to be a problem. He had known better than to hope that the girl would be home alone but he still didn’t have any idea how they were going to do this.
“What if I went up to the door and distracted him?” Chrissy offered.
“Yeah! And then we can sneak around the back and find her window or something!” Lucas said.
Eddie chewed on his thumbnail, thinking. “If me or Steve get caught sneaking in a young girl's window we’ll get arrested.”
Honestly if they got caught doing this, getting arrested for that would be the least of their worries.
“You two can stay here then and keep watch. We got this.” Dustin said.
Eddie didn’t like it but he didn’t have any better ideas, so he reluctantly agreed. At least it was dark out now, so the kids had a decent chance of not being seen.
Chrissy slipped out the back door of the van, and they all watched as she walked up to the front door and rang the bell. It didn’t take long for the door to open, revealing Billy, silhouetted in the doorway by the lights inside the house. They weren’t close enough to hear what was said but just based on the guy's body language she must have been doing something right. He leaned against the doorframe with his hip, smirking at her as he listened to whatever it was she was saying.
They didn’t know how long she’d be able to keep it up so the boys quickly spilled out, going through a neighboring backyard to come up behind Max’s house.
With everyone else now gone, Steve climbed over the back seats and settled in next to Eddie, taking his hand right away and squeezing it. It would have been romantic, holding hands with Steve in the quiet dark, had they not been so worried about the others and what could go wrong.
About five or ten minutes had gone by since the boys had left the van, and Billy was still happily chatting with Chrissy by the front door. Eddie should have known that things couldn’t be this easy, that something was about to go wrong.
Out of nowhere, all of the lights in the house began to flicker wildly. Eddie’s heart sank. It had to mean what he thought it meant, there was no way it was a coincidence. They’d almost been too late, still might be if they didn’t get in there right now and try to help the poor girl.
Without a word he and Steve both leaped from the car, perfectly in sync about what needed to be done, and ran for the house. Chrissy was already looking in their direction, a panicked look on her face. Billy was distracted looking around at the blinking lights. Neither of them stopped or slowed their steps as they approached the door to the home, pushing right past a bewildered Billy and into the house beyond. He recovered quickly, following closely at their heels and shouting at them to get the fuck out of his house.
Eddie could hear distantly that Chrissy was trying to stop him or distract him, but he couldn’t concentrate on what was being said. They needed to find the girl.
Thankfully the house was small and the second door they tried turned out to be her bedroom. It was a crazy scene. The young redhead was standing in the middle of her room stock still, her eyes rolled into the back of her head. He could see the boys standing on the other side of the window, they were banging on the glass and shouting. It looked like she'd been walking towards the window to talk to them when the attack started.
Finally Billy fought his way into the room. Eddie was sure that under normal circumstances fists would be flying by this point, but with the lights flashing and his sister having some sort of episode, it was chaos, and the guy didn’t seem to know how to respond to it all.
“Music right?” Steve said.
“Yeah, let’s just hope it works. Everybody look for a walkman!”
Chrissy, Steve, and Eddie started to tear the room apart as Billy continued to shout.
“What are you doing to her?! You better get the fuck out before I call the cops”
Chrissy quickly found it lying on the girl's bed half obscured beneath a throw blanket. She shoved it in Eddie's direction. He popped it open, and after all of this he was still somehow surprised to find that the tape she’d last listened to was in fact Hounds of Love by Kate Bush. He shook his head, rewinding the tape to the start of the last song that had been played before shoving the headphones over the girl’s ears.
He heard more than saw Steve bodily shoving Billy out of the room. Eddie was worried about him getting hurt, but he had to trust that he could handle it. Eddie had his hands full trying to save this girl. Once she was okay he could worry about everything else.
The song began, the volume loud enough that it could be heard in the room which had grown quiet in Billy's absence. When Eddie had envisioned this moment, the young girl’s first battle with Vecna, it had been to the soundtrack of Running up that Hill. Though he was a metal guy first and foremost, he enjoyed all kinds of music, and was able to appreciate Kate Bush for her theatricality. He didn’t know why that was the song his mind conjured up, had never thought to question it. That wasn’t the song that was currently blasting out of the girl’s headphones now, however Jig of Life felt more than appropriate under the circumstances.
🎵I'll be sitting in your mirror Now is the place where the crossroads meet Will you look into the future Never, never say goodbye To my part of your life🎵
“Come on, Red. You can do this.” Eddie murmured, shaking the girl by the shoulders. He wasn’t sure if she could hear him, and even if she could, he didn't know what he could possibly say to help her fight this thing.
🎵No, no, no, no Oh-oh-oh-oh let me live She said come on and let me live, girl She said come on and let me live, girl Come on, let me live This moment in time, she said It doesn’t belong to you”🎵
The lights stopped flickering so suddenly that it was jarring, and in the same moment Max’s eyes shot open. She gasped as if rising out of a deep pool of water, swaying on her feet, and would have fallen if Chrissy hadn’t been there to catch her. Max grabbed on to Chrissy's arms, gripping tight as her breath came in short gasps. She looked frantically around the room searching for a danger that was no longer there.
“You’re okay, you’re okay. It’s over. I got you.” Chrissy rocked the girl gently, murmuring comforting words into her hair over and over again as she fought to control her breathing.
Now that Max was free, Eddie finally tuned in to the noise happening in the rest of the house, and he could hear that the raised voices in the other room had reached a fever pitch. It wasn’t only Steve and Billy that could be heard now, but the younger boys as well.
He locked eyes with Chrissy over Max’s head. “Stay with her, I'll be right back.”
She nodded rapidly. “Go! Help them!”
Eddie rushed out to the hallway and found everyone in the living room. Steve was in the middle of it, the only thing standing between an enraged psychopath and the four younger boys. From what he heard, it sounded like Steve had been trying to explain to Billy some of what was going on, but he was refusing to listen. Then the boys had come bursting in, and Hargrove took one look at Lucas and lost it.
Billy had his back to Eddie, so the asshole didn't see it coming when he creeped up behind him, snatched a commemorative plate right off the wall, and smashed it over his head. Unfortunately, it didn’t knock the guy out like he had planned, but it did send him to the floor. Eddie jumped on him, holding his upper body down, while Steve quickly got the idea and took hold of his legs. Eddie yelled at the boys to find some rope or anything they could use to tie him up with. They returned quickly with a handful of zip ties and a roll of duct tape. They made it work, finishing the job off with an extra piece of tape over Billy’s mouth for good measure.
Chrissy and Max chose that moment to come out of the young girl’s bedroom, both staring open mouthed at the scene before them.  Max’s eyes were wide but sparkled with amusement as she watched her step-brother struggle against his bonds.
“What are you going to do with him?” Chrissy asked.
“I have no idea, but at least we shut him up for now.” Steve said between heaving breaths. He sat down on the floor hard, using the hem of his shirt to dab the blood from his split lip. Eddie tried not to stare at the strip of exposed skin that the move had caused, but it was a losing battle. He knew it was fucked up to ogle the poor guy while he was bleeding, but he felt less bad about it when he realized that Steve was watching him right back, eyes full of intense desire. Apparently seeing Eddie smash a plate over some douchebag's head had really done something for him.
Dustin cleared his throat loudly, purposefully, interrupting the moment before either of them could do or say something they might regret in front of all these people. Eddie didn’t know whether to thank him for it or throttle him.
Lucas was the first to approach Max, the other boys following close behind him.
“Are you okay?” Lucas asked. The tender expression on the kid’s face told Eddie that his little crush on the redhead hadn’t dimmed at all since that awful night at the arcade.
Max gave him a small smile. “I have no idea what's going on or how you and your weird friends got me out of there, but yeah, I’m okay.” She said.
Chrissy stayed by Max’s side even as the boys swooped in to try and cheer her up, the poor girl was still clinging to her hand like a lifeline.
“Maybe we should take him back to the trailer with us, Hopper should be there by now. Maybe he can hold him for something down at the police station?” Steve suggested, mostly aiming the idea at Eddie since the others were occupied.
“That’s not a bad idea.” Eddie agreed. He offered a hand to help Steve. He took it, letting the touch linger a little longer than necessary once he was on his feet.
Eddie raised his voice to be heard over the small roar of all the younger boys talking at once. “Hey Red, you got a problem with us kidnapping your shitty stepbrother?”
“No.” Max answered quickly, then hesitated before continuing, “but uh, I don't think I want to be alone right now. Can you take me too?”
Chrissy released the girl’s hand in favor of wrapping an arm around her shoulders as she said, “I think you’d better come with us anyway so we can try to explain what’s happening to you.”
Eddie caught her eye and nodded in agreement. “We’re definitely not all going to fit in my van this time. Maybe we could take two trips?”
“One of you could drive Billy’s car. I know where his keys are.” Max supplied helpfully. Eddie was really starting to like this kid.
Together, he and Steve managed to pick Billy up to carry him to the car, the others going out ahead to keep watch and open doors. Halfway down the front yard, their captive started thrashing violently, causing them to drop him to the ground. Luckily for Billy, the lawn was pretty lush and probably cushioned his fall well enough, though Eddie sincerely hoped he hurt something in the fall.
They were working on getting him back up, Mike and Lucas now helping now too, when Eddie heard a rustle in the bushes separating Max’s house from her neighbor’s.
Great.
The last thing they needed right now was for some nosy housewife to spot them in the middle of - whatever this was - and call the police.
Eddie shushed the group and had them lay Billy back down on the ground. He crept over to where he’d heard the noise. It was very dark in the side yard, since Max’s house didn’t have any outside lights other than the single bulb on the porch. He squinted as he got close, trying to see if there was really someone there or if it was just a raccoon, only to get blinded as the creeper turned on a flashlight that was aimed directly in his face.
“Jesus H. Christ,'' Eddie shouted, stepping backwards as he threw his hands up to shield his eyes, and proceeded to trip over a branch and fall flat on his ass.
Steve was at his side quickly, making sure he was okay, and helping him up.
The mystery person with the offending flashlight had also come out of hiding. Eddie blinked a few times, trying to force his eyes to adjust. It took a second, but once they did he realized they were standing face to face with Robin Buckley.
“What are you doing?!” She asked accusingly.
“It’s not what it looks like!” Eddie insisted.
She crossed her arms over her chest, eyeing the two of them curiously. “So...you don’t have Billy Hargrove trussed up like a Thanksgiving turkey, and you and your merry band of freshman, along with whoever else, aren't getting ready to take him and his step sister god knows where?”
Eddie sighed. “Okay, it’s exactly what it looks like, but I swear we have a really good reason.”
“We’re not trying to hurt anyone.” Steve added.
Robin tilted her flashlight up again, shining it directly in Steve's face this time.
“Wait a second…Harrington?! I thought you were missing!” She all but shrieked.
Eddie slapped his hand over her mouth as he said, “Technically, he is still missing. It’s a long story.”
Robin glared hard and he lowered his hand for self preservation.
He turned to Steve, they hadn’t really talked about bringing Robin into things. She had mostly served as Steve’s side-kick in the game, and she wasn’t a victim of Vecna’s. She also wasn’t friends with anyone in the party, Eddie knew her from band but that was all. Now he wondered if there was some reason why, out of all the people in Hawkins, he had chosen her to be NPC-Steve’s best friend.
Steve seemed to read his mind. “You want to tell her?”
Eddie shrugged. “At this point we might as well.”
“I really love the way you’re talking about me like I'm not here, guys. Doing wonders for my belief that what you're doing has no nefarious purpose.” Robin said, clearly rolling her eyes despite the fact that they could barely see her.
“Look, we can explain everything, but you’ll have to come with us.”
She stared at the two of them, then looked towards the gaggle of kids behind them keeping watch over Billy. Finally, her eyes settled on Chrissy, going just a little wide as she recognized the cheerleader.
Oh, that was interesting.
“Okay, fine.” She said. “ But if anything happens to me I will haunt your asses!.”

I’m super late for the LIs ask but here’s green lady Sandara for you :3
She's a serene and sensitive soul with a soft spot for all kind of creatures. While she may seem a bit distant initially, once you break through, her warmth and caring nature shine through.
P.S : she may have a type for the most stubborn ones 🤭💚
New outfit for the desert queen????? 💚💚
The Men>
🤍Logan🤍
By the time Logan clears his name, he’s tired and feels as though he’s aged well beyond his years. Whatever was left of his young and reckless tendencies mellows out a bit. He just wants to settle back in and live a content and peaceful life. Having Sandara there in it now, seeing how she clicks with Andy and feeling the serene calm she brings to his world draws Logan in. She’s someone who understands creatures in monsters in a way that parallels his own understanding, but also expands upon it. He wants to learn more even if the two have their own views on monsters and such. Sandara helps soothe his rough spots and feel warm.
💚Owen💚
I thought I’d say Justice, but surprised myself to put Owen down instead. He’s there from the beginning when Sandara is up and about after Justice saves her from the desert. He’s putting up a room for her, free of charge while Mason hurries to take advantage of her presence and retire out early, clearing the shack for her if she wants it after she expresses looking for a job to provide for herself. He’s fascinated by the stories and having been a traveler himself before coming back to Sandrock, he wants to hear of the world again. The places he didn’t go to. He avoids the touchy topics and lets her relive the world she’s lost. Sometimes, he writes her stories that he’d never share with the town, just for her eyes, of her world that he keeps alive within pages of a notebook.
The Ladies>
☀️Sol☀️
I completely believe @solsandrock’s Sol would fistfight for the ladies’ slot in pairings for Sandara. I’m a little scared of the woman to even try thinking of someone else to ship with Sandara, she could toss my ass without blinking. Sol and Sandara are an opposites attract sort of deal to an extent. Where Sandara is calm and serene, Sol is blunt and near abrasive. She’s never let anyone take advantage of Sandara if she can help it. Yan even rolling his eyes in Sandara’s direction is the perfect excuse to threaten the man. She’s softer and more caring when it comes to Sandara. They might as well be married so Sandara can get into jewelry making faster. It’s okay, Sol can handle all the building just fine.

@inukagfluffweek | Prompt: Kissing in the Rain
Summary: Set after Champignon (Ao3 | Tumblr). Mushroom Demons are back and Inuyasha is so done.
Tumblr media
Even before they started sharing the sleeping bag, Inuyasha had been a very quiet and very stiff sleeper. In the modern era, when it was just them alone in her room, he was somehow ever more so even if he was comfortable enough to don regular pajama bottoms and forgo a shirt. Point being that if Kagome had learned anything over these past months it was that once Inuyasha fell asleep, not a single muscle in his body twitched. Normally. Tonight seemed to be a different story. Chest heaving, Inuyasha kept jerking and subtly writhing against whatever image was dancing behind his closed eyelids. Kagome’s theory was that he normally didn’t feel safe enough to sleep deeply enough to dream but tonight they were in her world without scary monsters or constant threats. The worst thing that might happen here was Sota bursting in on them…again. Not that they ever did anything when they curled up together at night. The most they’d ever done was kiss and snuggle up.
But with all the soft groans and whines Inuyasha was making, someone was bound to have questions and come to investigate. There were many awkward situations Kagome could handle but having to explain to her mom why Inuyasha was half-naked in her bed wasn't one of them.
“Shhhh. You’re okay. It’s okay,” Kagome whispered reassuringly as she began running the back of her hand down Inuyasha’s clammy cheek, “It’s just a bad dream. I’m here. You’re okay.”
A clawed hand clumsily moved to rub at his eye as the boy who was still very much a young boy sluggishly began to wake.
“Did I wake you up?” he mumbled tiredly as he streched out before rolling over to face her, “Or you need somethin’?”
“I think you were having a bad dream,” Kagome whispered affectionately while Inuyasha’s heavy eyelids closed.
“Don’t have bad dreams woman,” Inuyasha muttered in between a giant yawn - his arm moving to drape over her waist and pull her closer, “You’re seeing things.”
“Are you hurting then?” Kagome countered quietly and one amber eye cracked open.
“Was I really that loud?” he asked wearily and the miko nodded once. A moment went by before Inuyasha rolled into his back and gingerly began pressing against his sternum, “Hurts here. Think that bastard cracked it.”
Blinking at the confession, Kagome immediately sat up and scooted over to inspect the non-visible damage. “Well…It’s not bruised,” she whispered wearily - glancing at her bedroom door before getting back to work.
“Was a little earlier,” he admitted before wincing when her forefinger hit a tender spot, “It’ll heal by morning I think. There’s nothing to do about it but that might be why I was making noise.”
Frowning, Kagome tried to remember a single time Inuyasha had taken a hit and reacted in his sleep but came up empty. Then again, until the whole mushroom incident, Inuyasha slept sitting up. Maybe that was the issue.
“Would sleeping upright be…”
“I don’t want to do that. Especially not here,” Inuyasha groaned as his ears flattened against his skull. Kagome took that to mean that, yes, somehow sleeping upright would be more comfortable on some level but he didn’t want to be that far from her. Not after a month straight of sleeping next to her. Kagome knew that was one of the highlights of his day even though they’d never done anything but cuddle.
“It would only be for tonight,” Kagome soothed - her fingers moving to trace the shell of his ear and Inuyasha pouted.
“It’ll heal the same either way,” he argued as his pout deepened, “I’m fine woman. Let me be.”
Chewing the inside of her cheek, a new theory as to why he was having issues occurred to her.
“Do injuries hurt more close to the new moon?”Kagome asked as she moved her hand moved to cup his neck and jaw just how he liked it. Amber eyes closed as Inuyasha shrugged.
“I dunno. Never really kept track,” he admitted before adding with a resigned sigh, “But I’m fine. You don’t need to worry ‘bout me.”
“Well I'm going to worry anyway,” she hummed and Inuyasha’s lips twitched upwards. The fact that she was serious made him happier than words could ever express. Not that he was happy she was stressing out over him or upset on his behalf but more…well…it was a reminder that someone finally gave a shit about him. More than one shit or two even. She loved him and the continued truth of that statement had him biting his lower lip to stop himself from grinning.
“You’re gunna wind up bone tired tomorrow,” Inuyasha yawned before making a face and amending, “Or today. Dependin’.”
“There won’t be too much for me to do,” Kagome admitted with a sigh as she laid down and snuggled up, “I missed most of the rehearsals and planning meetings.”
“Can I go or do you gotta be a student?” Inuyasha mumbled.
“I think it’s pretty open since it’s a fundraiser,” she hummed, “Would you really wanna go?”
“Never get to really see the inside of your school. Think it’ll be interesting…”
“It’ll be nice. Being able to show you off.”
Inuyasha’s lips twitched upwards and he held her a little tighter.
“Show me off?”
“People are starting to think you don’t exist,” she teased as she placed a soft kiss against his neck.
“Only ‘cause you tell me not to talk to people,” Inuyasha pointed out without any anger, “What do you think I’ll do anyway?”
“I have never said-“
“You tell me to wait for you. Can’t go inside or go to lunch with your friends.”
“Do you want to hang out with my friends?”
Inuyasha’s tired smile widened.
“Not really. They keep asking me about places I’ve never heard of and I’m running out of answers that sound believable.”
He yawned and then buried his nose in her hair.
“They do like me now though. Maybe hanging out wouldn’t be bad,” he offered as an olive branch and Kagome laughed softly.
“Well tomorrow we can do all the hanging out.”
As it turned out, there would be no hanging out with her boyfriend or anyone. Apparently her friends wanted to get her all the extra credit they could arrange by signing her up for every activity they were doing. Without her consent by the way. So it was that Kagome was scrambling around campus trying to learn lines for a lead role in a play in the spot, stumbling over lyrics for a solo she never signed up for and having to cook food using modern techniques. Something which she would begrudgingly admit she was not good at doing.
“Do you need me to do anything?” Inuyasha asked with weary amusement as a very frazzled Kagome came running out of the kitchen room.
“I need to run home for a second. Run interference. Anyone asks where I am say I’m in the bathroom or something,” Kagome breathed - pausing to give him a quick kiss before running like her life depended on it. An action that gave Inuyasha all levels of anxiety. Why couldn’t he just run and get the stupid shit? Unless, of course, it was somewhere he wouldn’t understand to look or an idea she knew he wouldn’t approve of.
Inuyasha sucked on his teeth and narrowed his eyes as Kagome rounded a corner. It was definitely that he wouldn’t approve.
Cracking his neck, Inuyasha casually leaned back to look into the room she came barreling out of and frowned upon seeing a dozen or so girls cooking. Complaining that there wouldn’t be enough and that they needed to do something special.
Golden eyes widened as he realized exactly what Kagome was going back to get even though she knew damn well-
“Shit,” Inuyasha breathed as he quickly began making his way over to a window, “Shit. Shit. Shit.”
….
Okay, so maybe, just maybe, feeding people demon corpses wasn’t the best idea ever but they were tasty and as long as they didn’t boil them, nothing bad would happen, right? Besides, Inuyasha wasn’t going to eat them. Her family wasn’t interested in eating them once Inuyasha explained with a groan that the dried foods smelled like corpses - something which had her brother look like he was going to barf after Kagome took an aggressive bite and glared. They might as well use the delicious things, otherwise it’d be a waste, and what her classmates didn’t know wouldn’t hurt them.
She’d just made it to the shrine stairs when Inuyasha landed in front of her with his arms folded across his chest.
“No.”
”No what?” Kagome groaned as she tried to side step him but he blocked her with ease.
”You’re not bringing demon corpses to your school. Especially not the mushroom ones,” Inuyasha growled, “Who knows what those’ll do.”
”Not all mushrooms are bad Inuyasha,” Kagome countered but he refused to budge.
”What about spores, huh? You remember spores?”
”The mushrooms are dead. They aren’t going to spray the school with spores.”
”Why take that risk?” Inuyasha huffed in frustration, “If you need to, grab something else. What about those herbs Kaede sent for your mom? You people never use real shit. That’s good enough to be special.”
”I’m bringing the dried demons Inuyasha,” Kagome pleaded, “They’re good. They’re unique. No one else is going to eat them.”
For the briefest of moments, Inuyasha looked like he was going to argue before he sighed heavily and stepped aside.
”Fine. Fine. If you promise to keep track of them, you can feed your friends the corpses.”
”Don’t call them corpses,” Kagome groaned as she began rushing up the stairs, “They’re jerky.”
”Corpse jerky,” Inuyasha muttered.
”All jerky is made of corpses,” Kagome countered as she began lightly jogging towards the house, “That’s just how it is.”
”I just really don’t think this is a good idea,” Inuyasha huffed.
”If they were dangerous Kaede, Sango or Miroku would’ve said something,” Kagome pointed out and Inuyasha scowled.
”Oh so my opinion doesn’t mean anything?”
”You’re biased. You think all mushrooms are evil.”
”Only the demon ones!” Inuyasha snapped, “Their whole life cycle is a crap shoot!”
”Well these ones are dead. They don’t have a life cycle,” Kagome pointed out as they made it into the house and she quickly grabbed the little pouch, “Since you’re here, can you bring me back? I’ve already been gone too long.”
“Oh no Shippo. Don’t eat those,” Sango chided as she snatched up the jerky and quickly put it back into the pouch, “We need to dispose of those safely.”
Miroku’s head popped up from where he’d been sitting outside of Kaede’s hut.
”Come again?”
”These are dangerous. Dried they’re harmless but if they get wet or are boiled, they’ll turn back into demons,” Sango explained and Shippo pouted.
”Eating them is a way to dispose of them,” Shippo pointed out as he looked up at her with big doe eyes, “They’re so good.”
“They’re dangerous,” Sango corrected as she headed towards Kaede’s hut, “Are these all of them?”
”About that,” Miroku chuckled nervously, “Kagome may have taken the second pouch with her.”
Sango’s eye twitched.
”I specifically said no one should eat anything until I had a chance to inspect them.”
”Well you took forever. We got these yesterday,” Shippo continued pouting, “We assumed you did look at them.”
”When are they supposed to be back?” Sango sighed heavily.
”Three days,” Miroku mumbled, “Are you absolutely certain these are dangerous?”
“They’re dried demon pollinators,” Sango sighed heavily like it was obvious as she opened the pouch and glanced over the contents, “Mushrooms. Flowers. And looks like maybe a fish or two. The problem is if we don’t dispose of the mushrooms and flowers properly they could sprout if they embed in dirt. They get boiled and they’re back to themselves. It’s safest to burn them.”
”So when I said that it was perfectly safe to bring said food items to the modern era that was, in fact, a lie?”
”You did what?”
”I TOLD YOU!” Inuyasha snarled as he cut down yet another of the demons that her friend had boiled after Kagome stupidly left them behind when she got dragged away to do god knows what, “WE NEED TO GET EVERYONE OUT SO I CAN DEAL WITH THIS!”
”You can’t blow up the school!”
”Did I say that’s what I was going to do?!” Inuyasha snapped as he cut down a surprisingly large fish. He groaned when he spotted a mushroom awkwardly bouncing into the distance.
”Not a mushroom.”
Kagome huffed and glanced around before spotting something that might make things both better and worse.
“Stay here,” she mumbled before rushing back into the kitchen and grabbing a long lighter. Clumsily climbing onto the counter, she clicked it on and help it up to an odd spout. One second. Two-
An alarm blared and water was suddenly bursting down from the ceiling. Distant screams echoed in the distance.
”What the hell?!” Inuyasha barked out as he wiped at his face, “What did you do?!”
”Fire alarm. To make people evacuate,” Kagome yelled back as she tried to get down. She slipped - because of course she did - but strong arms caught her and Inuyasha’s face was mere inches from her own.
”You are so lucky I love you,” Inuyasha snapped before pressing a wet kiss onto her lips and setting her down, “Other than the fucking mushroom did you see any others?”
”N-no. You got the rest already.”
”You owe me woman,” Inuyasha groaned before rushing off to take care of the completely avoidable mess.

I will serve you until I die ✧
Summary ¡ Your Mother passed Away with an unknown reason,The heir soon passed to you as you're the only child of her. For the first time ever the harbinger saw face to face with you
Character ¡ Pierro, Arlecchino
Tw ¡ Mention of death and violence
A/N: it's about a month since I last updated h e h e.. also wtf I got like 90 on all of my exam but I got rank 14🤬🤬😡😡🤬😡🤬
Most quote(even title) is inspired by the song servant of evil! You should listen to it, I've been listening to it for almost five hours straight
Tumblr media
Pierro ¡
Pierro was beyond shock when he's informed that his Archons Mysteriously Passed away, without any trail and trace.. at first he refused to come out of his office,he only commanded his subordinate to inform the other harbinger about it and that all schedule is cancelled
Due him being the first of fatui harbinger,He has the ability to send you a letters,To Move the control to you as fast as possible so the fatui could cooperate as soon as possible, sure he haven't met you In person but you're the only person that could handle the situation as well as snezhnaya.
When it come to the day you arrived safely at the castle,he know it's a love at the first sight,The whole snezhnaya attended The Heir ceremony,They need to see what their new ruler looks like. You're young, very young for an archon. You barely 800 years old, this caused doubt to happened between the lower class citizens, the question 'Will she manages as well as the tsaritsa?" "Is she even stronger than the harbinger?" To appear,of course it caused discomfort and negativity to get into you
In that moment Pierro assure you, it's alright to feel worry,it all right to feel fear, that you're good enough to rule snezhnaya, that you're deserving of control, power and strength you hold
"your majesty?"Pierro called,he was usually around you to assure that you are fine for the first week, you didn't answer him,you were just zoning out in your deep thoughts. Deep thoughts of what people might think of you,how are you going to rule a whole nation and organization alone, the discomfort and uneasy on your face are easily spotted by Pierro, even in the first week,he know you like he know his own backhand
"your majesty, were you thinking about the lower class citizens? Do you wish for them to disappear?"he asked again, snapping you out of your thoughts, you cleared your throat with a cough before you answered his questions, was is that obvious?
"Pierro you startled me,there no need to do such things, however your guess is correct."you answered his questions, worry still laced your voice and it seem like Pierro know it,he took a sigh before he speak once again
"your majesty, there's no need to be fear, there's no need to hear those ignorant people, they haven't been in your shoes before, you must notice yourself that it's hard to be an archon in very young age like you"he assured, his words were charming, soft and oddly calming, you took a sips of your coffee, letting him speak once again
"my queen, even if they dare to damn your name as they gather in rage,I will never stray and will stay by your side, after all,it just us against the world"his word is odd. Very odd way to describe your situation, however you shrug his last sentence off.. he don't mean it, right??
Arlecchino ¡
Is also one of the most affected one, also is in intense panic when it's announced that her archon passed away with mysterious reason, but assure herself it's okay, snezhnaya going on good hands. At the first glance she took of you,she know snezhnaya will be in good hands, just.. just look at you, you're highly intelligent, strong.. she afraid the same mistake will happen,so when Pierro is too busy, she guard you around, even if it just to pick up a document, she would have her guard up everytime someone is approaching, even if it's a fatui agent, and the fatui will be trembling as fuck by arlecchino, even if she just stand behind you
She also will not spare those who say shit about you,she doesn't understand why do you stop her from killing them,like..?? They talked shit about you and turned their back against you why do you want to spare them?? Just like Pierro, She would instantly notice if you need anything or if you are discomforted by something, she would be the type of woman that is a "I could bring the world to you knees if that what you wished" and "I will protect you from any single harm" at the same time
She also really like your smile, it's the most precious things she ever witnesses, slowly but surely blood rushed to her cheeks, she treat you with respect,low-key more respect than she give to the tsaritsa, she once accidentally kiss the back of your hand when she kneeled and she now remember it all of her life
"beware your majesty, this area is a public area"arlecchino uttered under her breaths, you just giggled as an answer before answering her worries
"we're just going to get the statics, there's nothing to be worry about,my dear arle"you answered before you reach the main entrance of the bustling city, you of course get all of the attention. Their previous ruler was never seen outside the castle for other reasons besides work, whisper then start to fly through the air
"was that..? The queen?, The queen look so young"one whispered,it was hearted by arlecchino, resulting to her glaring toward the one that whispered
"I bet all she know before is to pleasure men.."arlecchino Patience snapped, she tugs your sleeves before she said something
"your majesty,I have an urgent matter to take care of,do you able to get there yourself"she excused herself,a fake excuse to be exact, you smiled at her and nods
"very well arlecchino, good bye"you smiled as you continue to walk, she make sure you're quite away from the main city before she yelled something
" now that the queen is gone, why don't you guys continue talk shit about her?"she yelled, loud enough for the crowds to hear but not enough for you to hear, the crowds immediately went silent, trembling in afraid
"that's right, silent. this is your all last warning"she uttered under her heavy breathe, the crowds are still trembling in fear.
"arlecchino,I'm back, did something happen?"breaking the silence, you creep behind her, taking her hands on your, your Smile was so bright,it lightened her gloomy and dark life up,the things she would do to keep that smile remain on you face is unbelievable. For you she would dirty her hand, for you she make the whole world kneel
"no,not at all, now, shall we go,your majesty?"she oddly returned back your smile, she returned your genuinely smile, taking your hand on her, walking side by side through the whole city

On the topic of Sebastian being completely enthralled about everything Ciel is, I personally love it so much more knowing manga context, because O!Ciel was the 'spare'. He was not supposed to carry the family nane and, frankly, people didn't think he'd be capable of it due to his poor health anyway (Remember Frances and Vincent's conversation in the flashback chapters? It's obvious O!Ciel was quite saddened by what he heard).
By all means, in a twisted way, Sebastian might just be the first person to regard O!Ciel as someone deeply capable, a shiny singularity that doesn't live in anyone's shadow. The adults around him were - tho not unrightfully - seeing his fragility first and foremost while his brother, despite seeing him as worthy, didn't wish for him to leave and forge his own path. R!Ciel's reaction came from childishness sure, but that isn't to say that it didn't feed into the idea that O!Ciel was 'his backup'.
Going off from this, Sebastian is also the one thing in his life and is irrevocably his. Again, twisted, but all O!Ciel built has been under another's name. The manor, the company, the engagement etc. None of them truly his, but his brother's. And the other servants? They are loyal, however ultimately their own people. Sebastian? In an entirely different spot. He'll be there until the end after all.
This is an aspect of their relationship that tugs at my heartstrings so much. It's so toxic and depressing yet strangely soft and tender somewhat at least to me.
Sorry, I just really wanted to pour my thoughts and I appreciate your posts. So here I am!
anon, i’m in love with you
i literally think about this all the time like. that conversation frances and vincent had? imo vincent just flippantly saying "i guess ill just have to give the estate back to the queen lmao" could be taken 2 ways which is: at face value OR (what i think is more likely) vincent just saying what he knows will piss frances off to get her to stop talking. tbh vincent seems like a good dad imo and like he doesnt super underestimate o!ciel (he seemed absolutely fine with the idea of o!ciel going off to london by himself and opening a toy store in the future), but he DOES know that o!ciel is frail and sickly, and it makes me wonder how seriously he considered the idea that o!ciel might inherent the title of the queen's watchdog.
honestly, i feel in some respects, r!ciel treats o!ciel more carefully than their parents. he very much has an attitude of "my baby brother NEEDS me, he cannot survive without me!!" (gasps and shock, to learn it is actually the other way around /s)
all this to say, whether you lean more towards my interpretation or yours, or a fun mix, or whatever, it is undeniable that all of o!ciel's relationships were 'tainted' (for lack of a better term) by his illness and the way it made others view him and treat him.
AND THEN COMES SEBASTIAN
sebastian, who takes one look at o!ciel, and goes "lmao what a fucked up lil dude. time for little a snacky". sebastian, who then sits down to forge a contract with said little dude only to realize Oh Okay So This Child Is Clever. And o!ciel being sickly does kind of come up when they're making the contract, but sebastian focuses more on the actual logistics of that and o!ciel says 'nvm we'll deal w it when it comes up' (which is hilarious imo. he really said a sudden chill can put me on my deathbed but thats a problem for future me).
and then it turns out o!ciel is hella sheltered. but also a huge bitch.
and at this point, all i can assume is sebastian is so bewildered by this experience that the fact that o!ciel is frail and sickly and fragile is like. just another thing about this kid. o!ciel has never made sebastian's life easy and it would be stupid to think he would start now, sebastian thinks as his young master suffers from yet another cold just bc it rained yesterday. "i never knew you had asthma" says sebastian, who has read every medical journal to date on chest colds. "you never asked," says the bane of sebastian's existence.
and the thing is you can say "sebastian is only worried about o!ciel bc if o!ciel dies, he loses his meal" which is true and accurate and tbh if i was sebastian and i had put up w that much, i wouldn't want to lose my meal to a mere cough.
BUT ALSO
then you see the way sebastian is so fascinated and intrigued and bewitched by o!ciel. i think to sebastian the fact that o!ciel is frail and sickly is just another contradiction in the sea of contradictions that makes o!ciel so fascinating. and i think sebastian is the only one who really sees all those contradictions, he's the only one who sees everything that makes up o!ciel. and he loves what he finds.
(not to mention the fact that sebastian is the only person o!ciel allows to see his every aspect. or, well, some he tries to hide, but only because he thinks sebastian will try to use something against him. either way, sebastian is still the only person who he lets see the most of him. because sebastian is the only person who knows who he really is, who he doesnt have to put up a front for. he doesn't have to pretend to be his brother, he doesn't have to worry about being the spare.)

*After 500 years or so...*
Mammon and Belphie: *reading the sign on the door*
DON'T DISTURB. IF WOKEN UP, PREPARE TO DIE.
Mammon: ...
Belphie: What are you waiting for?
Mammon: Never mind. I'm not risking my life for it.
Belphie: But Lucifer asked you to tell them.
Mammon: Lucifer will just hang me onto the ceiling. But MC? Ha! I won't ever see the light of the day!
Belphie: ...
Belphie: *sigh* Fine. I'll do it. MC has a soft spot for my anyway. *knocks on the door*
Belphie: MC? It's us. Mammon and Belphie.
Mammon: Dude! You didn't have to include my name!
*the door opens*
MC: *holding a knife* Can't you fucking read?
Belphie: No.
MC: ...
MC: What do you want?
Belphie: Lucifer said you need to attend the student council meeting this afternoon.
MC: I ain't part of that shit.
Belphie: But you still need to. We have to discuss something really important.
Mammon: Y-Yeah! And he said that he won't forget to compensate you if you come.
MC: He better be. *about to shut the door*
Belphie: *blocks the edge with his foot* Can I sleep inside?
MC: No!
Belphie: Please? It's just me.
MC: What? You think you're something special?!
Belphie: ...
Belphie: *cheeky smile* Am I not?
MC: *hits him with the back of the knife* In your fucking dreams. *slams the door shut*
Mammon: Pft— Are you okay?
Belphie: Ugh... I thought smooth talk would work.
Mammon: Nah. You're lucky that's all you got. Last week, Asmo did the same and almost had a comatose.
*In the student council room*
Diavolo: I'm glad Mammon and Belphie had convinced you to join us, MC.
MC: I can only be here for 15 minutes or less than that. So you better get straight to the point.
Diavolo: Don't worry. This will be quick.
Diavolo: Barbatos?
Barbatos: Yes, young master. *opens the presentation*
The brothers: ...
MC: What's that dried shit in that picture?
Diavolo: That's your heart, MC. The one that you gave to your brother a long time ago.
MC: ...
MC: The fuck? Why is it in a fucking church?
Barbatos: *smiles* For centuries, your heart has been used as token of love and martyrdom.
MC: ...
Lucifer: Accurate.
MC: *kicks him at the back of his leg*
Lucifer: *drops to the floor, groaning*
MC: I'm going there right now.
Diavolo: I — We can ask Lucifer to go—
*MC's already gone*
Barbatos: Are you alright, Lucifer?
Lucifer: Yes... *standing up*
Beel: MC's about to end a generation of humans.
Satan: Don't be like that. MC isn't that cruel.
Levi: Lol. They might spare a few adults and children. But for those who look up on them like that? Nah.
MC: *has returned with their heart* *throws it straight to the trash bin* *then goes straight to the bed*
Lucifer: ...
Lucifer: *approaches the bed* *then sits next to them*
Lucifer: *starts to unbutton his shirt* How's your mood?
MC: I'm pissed off.
Lucifer: *nods* Do you want me to cool you down?
MC: ...
MC: *turns to look at him* *frowns* It's not that time of the year so fuck off.
Lucifer: Is it not? *undresses*
MC: ...
MC: *winces because the chain around their neck burns*
Lucifer: See? It's that time of the year.
MC: Tch.
Lucifer: *lies down* *then pulls them closer to him, hugging them*
MC: *dozing off*
Lucifer: Don't fight it back.
MC: I swear... if I woke up and have that pregnancy joke again, you're dead.
Lucifer: *chuckles* But don't you really like to impregnate me?
MC: *gives him an uppercut*
Lucifer: Ugh...
MC: Shut up. *then falls asleep*
