Made up but hopefully a potential help when creating My Time OCs and wanting to figure out generational branches

Having seen and contributed with my besties: @sandara-and-coco @solsandrock @sandrockers, I wanted to finally get what was in my head down in an organized manner and also share for those making family OCs in the game or in any other form of media

I’ve named the generational branches but also made some with larger spans of time and some with more normal ones- they will not necessarily be like the generations we have irl (I.e. Gen Z, millennials, etc) as it’s not an important thing to truly make note of in the My Time world like it’s been made irl.

@sandara-and-coco inspired me initially to make a mental note, @solsandrock fed into my need to organize unknowingly, and @sandrockers family tree stressed me the fuck out that it further propelled me to do it

Hey y’all, friendly reminder to those that see the work of an artist or writer- let’s not tell them how to do something or change another thing because it doesn’t fit your own narrative or aesthetic.

I’ve noticed it more lately with the new influx of players that have been finding the blogs and posts of Early Access players especially.

While yeah, there may be some that feel ooc or maybe someone just wrote/few to indulge themselves, it doesn’t give you the right or excuse to tell them they’re wrong or try correcting them. That’s not your place or polite.

Also??? It’s not easy work to create content??? If you’re going to write a comment that’s to argue against one’s work, then maybe consider making it yourself. That person already took the time and thought to make what they did.

Artists and writers are people too. We’re not AI bots designed to be told what to do and ordered around for one’s own benefit. It’s discouraging and one of the main causes creators often leave fandoms for or lose their love for the media itself.

I’m getting kind of tired of seeing my mutuals and myself experiencing things like this. Please be a bit more respectful is all we’re asking.💜

Ofc gotta include Logan. He’ll more than understand the whole aspect of “intimidating but sweet” thing Jay has because he can relate. Her quietness and indifference to his recent history made her one of his top people to escape and find company with when trying to settle back in Sandrock prove to be mentally taxing. Also, she needs to stop stealing his goat.

Heidi is friendly and tries to make everyone feel included. She’ll be sweet to Jay and invite her to do things. Let her know she values her as more than a builder doing her bidding for some projects. Heidi’s got such an endearing personality, she’d probably crack Jay’s cold demeanor and mask.

One I’ve realized but sat on for a bit of time. Jay’s one of the few builder ocs out there that actually made Pen feel something. Initially, it began with her going off on him and wanting a rematch after the disastrous sparring lesson- once of course, Jay was able to wake up and stand straight. But Pen got a kick in how her cold and intimidating demeanor actually seemed like it was fake. That her rbf was just making it seem that way. Until after pestering her, he slowly realizes she protects herself and that she’s actually sweet and kind. Something in him clicks and he unknowingly begins to grow attached and protective of her. He’s less of an asshole where she’s concerned. And she’s the one he has to lie to at the end as he carries a faked cruel smile when he’s dying inside.

By the time Logan clears his name, he’s tired and feels as though he’s aged well beyond his years. Whatever was left of his young and reckless tendencies mellows out a bit. He just wants to settle back in and live a content and peaceful life. Having Sandara there in it now, seeing how she clicks with Andy and feeling the serene calm she brings to his world draws Logan in. She’s someone who understands creatures in monsters in a way that parallels his own understanding, but also expands upon it. He wants to learn more even if the two have their own views on monsters and such. Sandara helps soothe his rough spots and feel warm.

💚Owen💚

I thought I’d say Justice, but surprised myself to put Owen down instead. He’s there from the beginning when Sandara is up and about after Justice saves her from the desert. He’s putting up a room for her, free of charge while Mason hurries to take advantage of her presence and retire out early, clearing the shack for her if she wants it after she expresses looking for a job to provide for herself. He’s fascinated by the stories and having been a traveler himself before coming back to Sandrock, he wants to hear of the world again. The places he didn’t go to. He avoids the touchy topics and lets her relive the world she’s lost. Sometimes, he writes her stories that he’d never share with the town, just for her eyes, of her world that he keeps alive within pages of a notebook.

I completely believe @solsandrock’s Sol would fistfight for the ladies’ slot in pairings for Sandara. I’m a little scared of the woman to even try thinking of someone else to ship with Sandara, she could toss my ass without blinking. Sol and Sandara are an opposites attract sort of deal to an extent. Where Sandara is calm and serene, Sol is blunt and near abrasive. She’s never let anyone take advantage of Sandara if she can help it. Yan even rolling his eyes in Sandara’s direction is the perfect excuse to threaten the man. She’s softer and more caring when it comes to Sandara. They might as well be married so Sandara can get into jewelry making faster. It’s okay, Sol can handle all the building just fine.
