1-2 week Hiatus

Hey guys! So I have a lot of stuff going on. I think I'm going to uninstall all social media for a week or two.

I WILL come back, and I'm going to copy-paste the asks I have so I can work on them still. Believe it or not, I do LOVE writing, but it's the apps I need space from, haha.

But there's going to be a radio silence from me on all accounts.

Anyway I am sorry but I really appreciate all of you. I'll be back in a week or two with some completed requests and hopefully a better mental state. The ask box is still open.

Wild somewhere only we know (Keane)

Wild spends a lot of time traveling the vast Kingdom of Hyrule. But he spends that time alone, traveling ruins and helping those he finds. He knows the roads better than the back of his hand.

But after defeating ganon, he finds himself lost. He has no real love for Hylia, and he's lost. He could use something to believe in. To really believe in.

He dosen’t like the castle. It's ruins, and has a gloom feeling. Sure, it's as safe as a fallen building can be but still.

One of his few memories is life at the castle. How nice it was. However much commraderie he had with Zelda towards the end.

Childhood days spent with his father there.

And now it's gone.

And the only person who remembers it as fondly as he does is probably Zelda. And so he only goes there with her.

It's somewhere only they know.

He should have. He practically walked into it.

He's so smart with fighting and even math, but he's real dumb with love.

He told his current love interest that they "have hair". As a compliment.

Hyrule dosen’t know he's so fucking pretty. He has no idea.

And it kills his loved ones, that he dosen’t see how when he walks over everyone lights up.

He's insecure, like most people. But no one knows why. He's amazing.

He smiles at the ground all shy, like he dosen’t like his smile. Which is silly he has a nice smile.

He dosen’t know, but eventually, someone is going to get him to understand. Because everyone one else knows but him.

Glowing by the Oh Hellos is a lovely song that could probably work for literally any of the heroes. It’s a song about learning to keep living and about loving yourself again. Sky, grappling with the weight of the prophecy, Legend, grappling with that poor island, Wild, grappling with… yeah… All of those have the potential to be pretty cool.

Sky dosen’t regret defeating demise and saving Zelda. He'd do it until his lungs gave our and then he'd do it again.

But with the prophecy... with all the blood on his hands that hasn't even been spilled.

Sometimes he wonders if everyone can see through him. Can they tell what he's caused? Do his sins shine through him?

Sky wonders sometimes if Atlas would understand his plight. All the weight they both carry.

Well...

Who knows?

If Sky remembers the young boy he was, how carefree and joyful- it hurts. It really does. Because then it all changed.

Are there any activities that have turned into a very unlikely workout for you?

I’m a cosplayer and I managed to inherit a chain mail shirt that is somehow exactly my size. Cleaning that thing turned into squats with an added 20 pounds of iron.

Okay first of all, the fact that you have chain mail is pretty awesome! I bet the squats with that much extra iron were a doozy.

I had to think about this! But when we were younger my brother and I borrowed our mom's 5-6 inch heels and used to see who could walk better.

This ended up in an obstacle course. I don't remember how, and out dog was pretty worried at the time.

But that was a workout, we were both trying to run in heels with no reel experience. And then add in obstacles?

I guess I thought I was cat woman haha.

Oooo!

I'd probably want to have cat eyes. My vision isn't the worst in my family, but I still need glasses.

On the other hand, I'd hate anything like a cat tail, dog tail, cat ears, or anything else that is a sign of mood. My face dosen’t have an inside voice. I don't need anything else telling people everything I think/ feel.

Your most visible or identifiable personality trait is now being made into something literally visible. How does this manifest for you?

As in, someone who is good at getting away with things becomes literally harder to detect, someone who has a sunny disposition actually glows now, someone who can easily place themselves in other people’s shoes can now shapeshift, etc.

Anyway, I don’t know what my most identifiable physical feature is. But I have a lot of people comment on my accent, creativity, and love of music.

Hello and good day to all my fellow Legend of Zelda fans!

As you may or may not be aware we in the Legend of Zelda fandom have been having some troubles when it comes to tagging on A03. Mostly that the only tags that seem to be available to tag various Links with was the Linked Universe specific tags. Which led to writers either trying to make their own tags (which no one knew how to find) or inaccurately using Linked Universe Tags. Neither of which were fair to creators writing outside of Linked Universe, or fair to the Linked Universe community (let alone JoJo herself!).

People trying to tag their non-Linked Universe fics were either scrambling to be found or blending their words in with Linked Universe works. And Linked Universe fans who were searching for Linked Universe fics ended up stumbling across fics they weren’t looking for.

So, with that in mind, I reached out to the A03 team in search of a solution. And they have gotten back to me! I am going to post a picture of their reply under the cut, but I will summarize it first.

There (now? I’m not clear if they’ve all existed before) are tags we can use for most of our various Links that aren't Linked Universe. They’re just not tags that go in the “Character” box. Instead, you put Link (Legend of Zelda) in the character box and then one (or more) of these tags into the “Additional Tags” box. The tags are ‘Link from X game’. So, for example: Link from Breath of the Wild/Tears of the Kingdom (Legend of Zelda) or Link from Twilight Princess (Legend of Zelda). If you try to put a specific Link in and they don’t exist already you’ll just have to fill it in unfortunately. And the more people use that tag the sooner it will be made into one that’s canonized.

Mind you! These tags should NOT be used for Linked Universe fanfictions. JoJo has explicitly asked that Linked Universe fanworks NOT be tagged with general Legend of Zelda tags. And that is what these are. So please leave these tags for those of us writing outside of Linked Universe.

I did a little experimenting and there seems to be a tag for every game EXCEPT;

“Link from Four Swords Adventures (Legend of Zelda)”,

"Link from Triforce Heroes (Legend of Zelda)",

“Link from The Legend of Zelda (Legend of Zelda)”,

“Link from The Adventures of Link (Legend of Zelda)”, and

“Link from Age of Calamity (Legend of Zelda)”.

There is also no tag for:

“The Hero of Men (Legend of Zelda)” (or whatever title could be used for the hero before Link from The Minish Cap)

But there are Character tags for “Ancient Hero (Legend of Zelda)” and “Hylia’s Chosen Hero (Legend of Zelda)” (who I believe is the First Hero).

The more we, as a fandom, use these tags (especially the ones that aren’t currently searchable) the more readily usable they will be.

The lost of crimes (re: shenanigans) committed by the trio of Wild, Hyrule, and Legend is extensive.

But they SWEAR they didn't start this fire!

Like sure, they tied everyone's boots together. They spent a whole day mouthing words instead of talking.

They even spent one whole week calling forks "mini tridents" just to see how long it took for the others to do it too.

But this fire is in now way connected to them.
