Why the Disney Princesses definitely need therapy: a Hot Take
Snow White
Losing her parents as a child and having to learn to take care of herself at a very young age (Snow White is 14 in the movie, and judging by her work ethic, she appears to at least have some experience with living independently before moving in with the 7 dwarves)
Lack of socialization due to isolation
Depression due to isolation and loneliness. This makes the whole “Someday My Prince Will Come” thing much more believable, because Snow White really isn’t in any sort of immediate danger and doesn’t need “saving” or whatever; she’s just tired of being alone and wants human companionship. (And tbh who can blame her? The poor girl’s literally talking to birds and moved in with the first group of humanoid creatures she could find ffs)
This one’s a bit of a stretch, but I’m pretty sure Snow White would also have an unhealthy fear of strangers and/or an irrational fear of being poisoned after the whole apple fiasco
Cinderella
Being raised in an abusive home environment for most (if not virtually all) of her life
The complete lack of positive social interaction throughout her life has probably led to problems with social withdrawal and isolation at some point, and I wouldn’t be surprised if she has repressed symptoms of chronic depression due to loneliness.
Her closest emotional confidants are literally two talking mice, and that just screams “My only friends are animals because their love is unconditional I’ve been invalidated and unloved by every human being in my life” (aka extreme emotional neglect)
She probably has tons of questions about her biological parents that were never answerd because, again, her stepfamily hated her, which would obviously lead to some emotional baggage
If we consider Cinderella III: A Twist in Time to be the new canon, she definitely has some unresolved PTSD from her near-death experience (the “almost getting crushed to death in the carriage because it was transforming back into a pumpkin” scene)
Aurora
Existential crisis because the three fairy godmothers basically rewrote her entire identity as “Rose” and hid the fact that she was a princess
Never knowing who her real parents were as a child, leading to emotional baggage similar to that of Cinderella and Snow White mentioned above
Either the emotional burden of having to make up for 16+ years of lost time with her biological family, or the grief of losing her biological family without ever getting the chance to know them (idk whether Aurora actually got to meet her parents by the end of the movie or if they died before she woke up, because I don’t remember exactly how much time had passed while she was in the coma)
Speaking of the spindle prick-induced magical coma (which is a really long-winded and inefficient way to kill someone honestly, idk what Melificent was thinking), Aurora also has to deal with the emotional burden of how much time has passed while she was in a coma, which would only further feed into the existential crisis and emotional trauma in bullet points 1 and 3.
(Also, off the record, but Aurora’s entire life post-movie is just a hot fucking mess and she really deserves a second movie exploring that concept imo. I know that Sleeping Beauty has already gotten a live-action villain spinoff, but the story of Aurora herself really deserves to be reexamined under a modern lens also. Aurora is easily one of the most overlooked Disney princesses and tbh she deserves more love.)
Belle (feat. the expanded lore from the live-action movie)
Witnessing her mother die from the plague in their own home
Being forceed to move from the more culturally progressive city of Paris to the unnamed “poor provential town” in the movie, where she is clearly the odd one out and is subject to gender inequality on a daily basis (in the form of being publically shamed and socially ostacized for being an educated woman)
Being regularly sexually harassed by Gaston, which is further exacerbated by the villagers and their close-mindedness. Not only is Gaston’s behavior enabled and encouraged by the villagers, but they even go so far as to idolize Gaston — as shown during his namesake song — despite his obviously predatory actions, simply because he is a cishet white man that they find conventionally attractive
Watching her father get arrested despite being 100% innocent...TWICE
Also being arrested when her father is wrongly convicted a second time, by none other than her abuser
Watching her lover — who besides her parents was the first person in her life who truly loved her and respected her intellect despite being a woman — nearly die in her arms, as well as everyone else in the castle (who ALSO respected her regardless of her gender) nearly die at the same exact time.
...And you know, Stockholm Syndrome or whatever. (But tbh, given how everyone in the castle was very kind and respectful and how the Beast was a tsundere at best, Belle would probably suffer far more from PTSD brought upon by Gaston and her previous environment than from “Stockholm Syndrome” in a castle where everyone actually treated her like a normal fucking human being. Unpopular opinion I know but as a sexual assault survivor this is literally a hill I will die on.)
Jasmine
I’ve actually never watched Aladdin all the way through, so unfortunately I can’t give a full analysis of Jasmine’s conflicts...but I have seen that gif of her saying “I am not a prize to be won” and that just screams “I’ve suffered a lifetime of female objectification and gender inequality despite my social status, and not even in the highest position of authority possible am I allowed to have a voice” and idk about you but that is really fucked up man
Ariel
PTSD from being manipulated by Ursula to give up her voice and nearly losing everything (both her previous life in the ocean and the promise of a new life on land with her love interest) because of it
Near-death experience from *vague hand gesture to whatever the fuck that was at the end of the movie*
Inevitable depression from abandoning the only home she’s ever known (the ocean) and leaving her friends and family behind
She’ll probably also need some form of behavioral therapy to help her adjust to her new home on land, whose culture is still extremely foreign to her — and maybe even additional therapy for social anxiety, given how her first 3 days of human interaction were so mortifyingly embarrassing that she’ll probably be laying wide awake at 3 AM and thinking “oh my god I can’t believe I looked Eric’s parents dead in the eyes and brushed my hair with a dinner fork” for the next 10 years.
Tiana
PTSD from literally being turned into a frog
Overworking herself to the point of near burnout, and being unable to fully live out her prime adult years because of said burnout
Constantly dealing with shitty customers, bosses, and other white-collared people disrespecting her and treating her as subhuman because of her career choice, which is unfortunately a common shared experience among restaurant workers and those who work hourly wages
Since this movie takes place in the United States presumably before the 1960’s, it’s probably safe to assume that Tiana also probably had to deal with segregation, Jim Crow laws, and other forms of racism off-screen on a daily basis, which would obviously take a toll on her mental well-being and further exacerbate the issues mentioned in #3
Grief from losing her dad, which has likely been repressed due to her workaholic tendencies denying her the ability to properly take the time to mourn
I don’t even know what to categorize the whole witch doctor shenanigans as, I just know that she and Naveen are both going to need some SERIOUS therapy after going through all that shit
Rapunzel
Being raised in an emotionally abusive and controlling environment for her entire life
Being completely isolated for 18 years with no social interaction whatsoever with anyone except her own abuser
Existential/identity crisis from discovering that she’s actually a princess, that her “mom” was actually the one who kidnapped her as a baby and tried to cut her hair, and that everything she knew about herself and the world she lived in was essentially a lie to keep her obedient to Gothel
Near-death experience (the drowning scene)
Internalized fear and mistrust in strangers — and quite possibly in people in general — due to Gothel’s lifelong warnings that people in the outside world would only want to take advantage of her
Watching the woman who raised her MERCILESSLY STAB THE ONLY OTHER PERSON SHE EVER KNEW AND LOVED IN THE GODDAMN CHEST
Watching the woman who raised her LITERALLY CRUMBLE TO DUST IN FRONT OF HER VERY EYES
WATCHING FLYNN, THE ONLY OTHER PERSON SHE EVER KNEW AND LOVED BESIDES HER GODDAMN ABUSER, FUCKING DIE RIGHT IN FRONT OF HER before she miraculously healed him
Because Flynn’s revival was such an uncanny revival that not even Rapunzel knew how she did it, she obviously thought he was gone for good...and since Gothel was gone also, there must’ve been at least a split second before she healed Flynn where, for the first time in her entire life, she was completely and utterly alone. That alone deserves to be a bullet point because holy shit
I’m not even going to get into Tangled: the Series man this list is getting too long as it is
Elsa
Losing her parents at a young age
Abandonment and isolation issues (mostly self-inflicted due to her own fear of hurting others, see #3)
Internalized fear and self-doubt of her powers — and, by extension, fear and self-doubt in herself
Guilt from nearly plunging Arendelle into an eternal winter
Guilt from almost losing her sister (twice!) due to her own direct actions
(Coinciding with #3) Guilt from isolating herself from her sister to protect her, only to nearly get her killed by the very thing she was trying to protect her from
Anxiety. Just lots and lots of general anxiety.
(Omitting Frozen 2 for Elsa because I haven’t seen it yet and this list is getting too long)
Anna
Also losing her parents at a young age
Abandonment and isolation issues, but hers are moreso due to Elsa “shutting her out” as a kid and having no one else her age in the castle to interact with
Lack of socialization in general for much of her childhood, as well as any social anxieties/lack of social knowledge and etiquette/etc. that would come with it
Abusive relationship with Hans (I know it was only one day, but holy fuck that was a trainwreck. What Hans did to Anna is a literal breeding ground for PTSD and trauma)
Coming to terms with the fact that the trolls fucking erased her memories of Elsa having ice powers and that Elsa isolated herself to protect her (and not, you know, because she hated her or something)
Leftover guilt from holding a grudge against Elsa for most of her childhood for shutting her out, because NO ONE BOTHERED TO TELL HER THAT IT WAS FOR HER OWN GOOD and she never knew why
Basically Anna and Elsa both need joint therapy or family counseling or something because holy shit their parents did NOT handle this situation properly AT ALL
(Also omitting Frozen 2 for Anna because I haven’t seen it and this list is also getting too long)
Moana
Surprisingly, Moana’s movie was relatively tame — in fact, because her tribe returned to voyaging and she is now exploring the seas/following her passion, these events were arguably beneficial to Moana’s mental health rather than detrimental. The only emotional baggage I can really imagine Moana having post-movie is leftover grief from her grandma dying and maybe the stress of having to put up with Maui’s shit

My favorite friendships/BROTPS (part 2)
Jack and Mr. Gibbs
Tumblr media
It’s very possible that the bond with this two goes to waaay back when. Can you imagine how many schemes they have created together? Some of those went “according to plan”, some of them very likely didn’t. What I love about them is that they are never afraid to be direct with each other - especially when the other one is doing or planning something idiotic. Even if they would be apart for a reason or another for quite some time, they can always trust to each other to hold their ground. Their iconic line “Take what you can - give nothing back” always makes me emotional for some reason.
Donna, Rosie and Tanya
Tumblr media
I wanna belong to this gang. Seriously. There for each other through everything, partying and performing like there’s no tomorrow, lifting each other up... It broke my heart in the beginning of the sequel when I realized that one of the three musketeers - or Dynamos - was gone. I just adore this trio.
“Grey’s Anatomy” and “Once Upon A Time” include many great friendships that deserve some attention.
Meredith and Christina
Tumblr media
What can I even say about these two? They are each other’s persons. Their friendship was a reallly massive part of the shows  core and I was really emotional when Christina left. Their discussions are hilarious: even though they sometimes seem to talk about a completely different things or didn’t talk at all, they were able to get some huge support from each other - or just dance it out, when they felt like it.
McDreamy and McSteamy
Tumblr media
Even women and cheating issues couldn’t come between these two. Death eventually parted them, but I wanna believe that they reunited later. Losing Mark really affected Derek. I can’t explain why I like them so much. I just do. I love the friendship between Mark and Callie to the moon and back as well.
Emma and Elsa
I truly wish we would’ve seen more of their friendship. They really understood each other’s struggles with abandonment, anxiety and their powers. In my mind, Emma asked her to be Hope’s godmother and her and Killian get letters from Arendelle at least once a month. Even though I’m a huge Captain Swan-shipper, a tiny piece of my heart belongs to Frozen Swan. Seriously, Emma would’ve needed more healthy friendships.
Tumblr media
Charming and Hook
Tumblr media
These two have come such a long way, haven’t they? At first, Charming was really prejudiced about pirates and Hook’s past and doubted if Killian is good enough for his daughter. As a surprise for both of them, Killian had killed David’s father in the past, when he still was a different man. But when trust and connection between them started to develop, even this didn’t stop their bromance and they solved it out by forgiveness. David really learned to trust his “son... in-law”. When I think about OUAT, some of their discussions and funny scenes are first ones that come to my mind,
Snow & Red, Ariel & Belle and Ariel & Hook
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
These three duos just warm my heart. Red helped Snow to hide from the Evil Queen and Snow taught her to accept her wolf-side and encouraged her to go after her true love. I love the consept of Belle and Ariel; Belle could’ve teach her so much about human world and they could’ve travelled together. Ariel and Hook haven’t had the easiest past considering what happened to Eric, but I always liked their common storylines. Like Emma, Ariel helped Hook to see the man he could be and encouraged their relationship. She also helped Hook to defeat Ursula and was always very honest with him. I would’ve wanted to see more scenes with AU-versions of them. I don’t know, something about the friendship between mermaid and pirate just intrigues me.
Alice and Mad Hatter (Tarrant)
There’s just something adorable about these two. I feel like a broken record, but they had so much potential to be more than friends as well. It’s so heartbreaking to think that he waited for Alice all those years. In addition, the both goodbye scenes between them are heartbreaking. But, on the other hand, he was so happy to see her again got the chance to watch her regain her muchness again.
Tumblr media
Harry, Hermione and Ron
Tumblr media
Oh, yes… the golden trio.. :) Such a huge part of my childhood, couldn’t leave them out. The reasons are so obvious for me that it is really hard to describe them. Even if it bugs me that the movies erased much of Ron’s bravery and loyalty and gave many of his iconic lines to Hermione, I love these three - both in the books and the films.
Lizzie, Gordo and Miranda
Tumblr media
Another iconic trio of my childhood.. ;) I really love their dynamic. A part of me wondered if I should just choose Lizzie and Miranda, because I really started to ship Lizzie and Gordo at some point, but it would’ve felt wrong to leave him out. This is what dreams are made of.
Nick and Judy
Tumblr media
Dumb bunny and the sly fox...or was it other way around? Anyways, Carrot and Nick are my bromance of the animation world with Timon and Pumba and Lumiere and Cogsworth. They come from so different situations but still have so much in common. Their bickering, sassiness and emotional discussions… I freaking love it. It’s no wonder that Zootopia is still one of my favorite animated movies. “Boom.”
None of these gifs are mine. All credit goes to their respective owners.

Chapter 101: And Wake Up Where the Clouds Are Far Behind Me
The years passed quickly, as Rumpelstiltskin secretly trained Regina in the ways of dark magic. It had been very difficult for her at first, but her overwhelming rage at her mother and sister had changed her and facilitated the needed changes in her to mold her into the woman he needed to cast his curse.
Over the years, Arawn had assimilated many Kingdoms under his rule. George and Midas were allowed to remain on their Thrones as mere figureheads under Arawn's complete control. King Hubert and his Queen had been too resistant and were executed, while Hubert's most trusted Knights saw to it that Phillip was sent east into hiding.
King Stefan had folded to Arawn as well, allowing him to keep his Throne, much to his daughter, Princess Aurora's chagrin. Knowing that the late Queen Briar Rose would be horrified, the fairies that had been her allies eventually whisked Aurora away into hiding.
King Stefan tried to appeal to the other King's thirst for power by telling him that they should invade Maleficent's castle next and kill the dragon woman. But Arawn refused. He was known for avoiding magic that he wasn't completely sure he could overpower her and thus Maleficent's castle was left untouched for the moment, as was the Dark One's castle for obvious reasons.
Next, Arawn had moved south to a small Kingdom ruled by Lord Maurice. Arawn was well aware of the deal the man previously made with the Dark One, who ended the threat of the ogres in exchange for the man's beautiful daughter, Belle. But all that had done was pave the way for Arawn to easily assimilate Maurice's Kingdom next without any ogres in his path.
After that, Arawn seized the maritime Kingdom, forcing Prince Eric to flee to the east to avoid execution. The Prince's ailing father had just passed away months ago, but there would be no coronation for Prince Eric.
Regina's Kingdom was one of the only ones left standing on its own, save for the mysterious Arendelle. And magic was definitely the reason for that. Neither Frollo or Arawn were completely sure they could combat the magic of Queen Cora and her daughter Zelena. But Arawn was not giving up. He was a patient man and if he could not overtake Leopold's Kingdom, then he planned to appeal to his and his Queen's greed by proposing a merger when the time was right.
As for Arendelle, Princess Elsa had finally come of age and her coronation was underway. He had sent Hans into get a scope of the Kingdom and hoped to hear good news from his youngest brother soon.
Snow White still eluded them, but there had been sightings over the years. He suspected though that Hades and Persephone had kept her sequestered in the Underworld most of the time. Eli was in hiding as well and there were rumors that he was living somewhere near the city of Athens, well known to be protected by Athena, though there had supposedly been sightings of him in Thebes as well. But that did not bother him too much. He was still confident that he could capture the wayward Princess and use her to his advantage. His Kingdom would continue to grow and soon, he knew he would rival the power of the Gods. Especially if Frollo's research and experimentation yielded the results he soon hoped for.
Arawn entered the top spire of the castle that was formerly George's and spied his Vizier at the infamous Cauldron that had come into Arawn's possession many years ago. While the Cauldron's past was lousy with black magic, these days, Frollo used it for his scientific experiments and dabbles into alchemy.
For years, Frollo has been attempting to change ordinary metals into valuable ones like gold. But more importantly, he was on a lifelong quest to use science and the cauldron to create an elixir of immortality. Arawn shared in his quest for immortality, but he had employed Frollo to explore another avenue on his path to immortality for him.
In the ancient scrolls from his homeland, the texts spoke of a creature and a mountain that could give him what he wanted. If the creature deemed him worthy, he could essentially take on the powers of this supposedly dormant creature that was known in the texts by a few names and one of those being the black god. This creature was said to be far more powerful than any God on Olympus and even mightier than any of the Titans. But the location of this mysterious, supposedly cone shaped bald mountain was unknown. However, through his assimilation of Kingdoms, he had finally found a clue in one of the oldest libraries in Lord Maurice's Kingdom. It was in a dead language that no one he knew of could read, but fortunately, Frollo was attempting to use the Cauldron and science to translate the map they had found.
"Any luck?" Arawn questioned.
"Not yet...but I may be onto something," Frollo responded, as the cauldron boiled with a sickly green liquid. Frollo added a drop of some unknown ingredient, making the room smell even fouler than it already did. Frollo carefully filled a vial with the liquid and poured one drop on the encrypted map. It gave off a faint glow, as the sorcery rippled over it.
"Did it work?" Arawn asked.
"It did not decipher the map...however it has left us another clue. One that could make translating the map irrelevant," Frollo said, as the sorcery on the parchment took life in front of their eyes in the form a dancing broom, which then morphed into a hat with stars on it.
"What is it?" Arawn questioned.
"I've seen this only once...in the ancient pagan texts back in the Cathedral. It is the magical hat worn by the mysterious Sorcerer. The legend says that no one knows the identity of this great Sorcerer and the hat is in the possession of his apprentice," Frollo recalled.
"What does this mean?" Arawn pressed, as he watched the image of the hat fold into a dormant form in that of a circular box with stars atop it. Then the transparent image fell to the map and to a mountainous region in the northeast that was known to be quite barren and scarcely populated.
"It means we can find the hat in this region and then it is the hat that will decode this map, leading us to Bald Mountain," Frollo responded.
"Then you will take a few of our men and find this hat by any means necessary," Arawn ordered. Frollo bowed to him.
"At once, My King," he obeyed.

David wiped the sweat from his brow, as they paused for a beat in their practice duel. His family and Snow's family were all enjoying a brief respite at Persephone's summer cabin in her meadow near the ocean. Over the years, Persephone had added two more cabins in the meadow, one for his family and one just for him and Snow.
There was a brief lull in the war recently and they had taken full advantage of the opportunity for a visit. They were a bit worried about what Arawn's attention might be on, because of the lull, but they did not let it mar their time together.
During the warring years, Eli had taken the opportunity to sharpen David's swordsman skills and Hades usually joined the teachings when he was able to. The Underworld had been sadly a very busy place in the last few years, but thankfully, he was enjoying a lull too. They had long ago taken well to their future son-in-law, for he made their little Snow very happy and had decided one of the few things they could agree on was they wanted him to be exceptional in his skills so he could protect their little girl. David had welcomed the training, wanting to be able to protect her against anyone as well.
"You're getting very good…" Eli mentioned, as the younger man parried his strikes.
"If it means protecting Snow...then I want to become a master swordsman," David replied, as they continued the duel. Eli smirked, as he heard Snow huff from the sidelines.
"Daddy...don't you think that's enough for today?" she asked impatiently. Patience would never be his little girl's forte.
"I suppose so...he is here, after all, to see you, sweet pea," he answered, as they ended the duel. Snow smiled and put her arms around her beloved, kissing him passionately.
"I'm all sweaty," he warned, as she pressed herself flush against him.
"I don't mind," she replied, with a coy smile. Persephone handed her daughter a picnic basket with a smile, as the young couple joined hands and began to stroll toward Stardust.
"Have fun!" Ruth called, with a smile, as they rode off.
"Don't you want me to clean up first?" David asked. Snow smirked.
"Oh, I think I can clean you up myself in the ocean," she replied. He grinned.
"That sounds like fun," he agreed, as they rode off for a romantic rendezvous.
"Don't pout," Persephone scolded her ex.
"I'm not pouting...she's just all grown up and needs me less and less," Eli lamented.
"She still needs you...she needs us all. They both do," Hades reminded. He nodded.
"David is a good man. I couldn't have hoped for better for her," he agreed.
"That's what happens when Athena etches your love in the stars. Their love will save us all," Persephone said, though she knew that meant that her daughter and her love would face insurmountable odds and stare down evil to do so. But she was confident that love would prevail.
~*~
Zelena cackled, as she used her spell to create a storm that she unleashed upon an unsuspecting village.
"You're getting very good, dear," Cora complimented and the devastation seemed to have no affect on them.
"This is just the beginning, Mother. When I cast the Dark One's curse, they all shall be under my thumb, even the powerful King Arawn. He'll be nothing compared to me," the redhead boasted.
"Yes...the time draws near, doesn't it Rumple?" Cora questioned.
"It's too early for the curse. I'm not ready yet," he replied. But this angered Zelena.
"Well, I am!" she shouted.
"I am tired of this land and King Arawn's rule! I should rule, mother! But you won't allow me to unseat him!" she shouted.
"His Vizier, Frollo, is much too unpredictable, my dear. If he was able to nullify Midas' power, than he may have a way to counter ours. It's too risky right now," Cora admonished.
"Which is why we need the curse! What exactly are you waiting for?" Zelena questioned her Master.
"That's my business," Rumple hissed in return.
"Why is it always about what you want?! What about what I want?!" Zelena argued, as Rumple looked at her.
"Careful dearie...you may think you're in charge here, but you'd be mistaken. I may be providing you with the means to cast a great curse and rule over all the lands. But make no mistake...I'm in charge," he warned.
"Well, I don't accept that. I'm more than confident that the student has surpassed the master," Zelena hissed. Rumple let out a giggle of amusement.
"Oh you'd be wrong there, dearie," he boasted, as he disappeared and appeared behind her, much to her surprise. Zelena growled and turned to him, effectively blasting him with her green magic.
"Why won't you give me what I want?! I've done everything you've asked!" she cried psychotically.
"Zelena…" Cora chided, but the out of control redhead batted her mother away, much to Cora's surprise.
"I'm more powerful than you both! And I'm going to cast this curse now!" she demanded.
"Go ahead and try...but you'll fail," Rumple responded in a sing-song voice.
"Rumple...what are you talking about?" Cora questioned.
"I've decided to alter our deal," he confessed.
"What?" Cora questioned.
"You've done a very exceptional job in raising a daughter that loves nothing, which is the opposite of what I need," he responded.
"Love is weakness," Cora proclaimed. He giggled at her.
"Wrong again, dearie...it's actually quite powerful and extremely useful when you know how to use it. She can never successfully cast my curse. Read the last ingredient," he prodded, as Cora looked at the tiny scroll.
"The heart of thing you love most…" she recited and then looked up at him, as realization dawned on her. He giggled.
"I see you've finally gotten it. You raised the perfect, heartless monster...in your image no less. You must be so proud," he said distastefully.
"The problem is that I need a monster that still has a heart and fortunately for me...you actually didn't fail to give me one," he responded dramatically.
"What are you talking about?" Zelena demanded to know. He giggled again.
"Your mother created you in her image. Heartless, full of hatred, and you wouldn't know love if it smacked you in your green face," he poked fun, which only enraged her more.
"You're wrong...I love power! It's the only thing that matters!" she refuted.
"According to your short sighted mother...yes, but love is what makes the world go round, dearie. And true love...well, that is the rarest of all magic, but that's a story you don't need to know about," he added.
"However, your mother and you have created another monster as well; one that you don't even realize," he said cryptically, as Regina emerged from the shadows.
"Regina?" Cora asked in shock.
"Hello Mother...Zelena," she greeted with a smirk and then showed her power by lighting a tree on fire.
"You...you've learned magic," Cora uttered in surprise and slight dread in her voice.
"Well...when you took Daniel away from me, I knew I couldn't let you get away with it," Regina responded.
"Darling...I did that for your own good. I was looking out for your best interest," Cora claimed.
"You were looking out for yours!" Regina snapped.
"After all, you couldn't have one of your daughters marrying someone without royal blood. So when he offered me a path to revenge for what you both did to me...I took it," she added.
"You see...she's the monster you created, but she's far more dangerous than this one, because she still has a heart. She knows love, while this one only knows envy," he said, with disgust, as Zelena's skin slowly turned completely green.
"Regina will cast my curse...and she will do it when I say," he stated.
"No!" Zelena cried.
"This was to be mine! I am supposed to rule and have everything! But you're giving it to her?!" Zelena cried in outrage.
"That's right," he said nonchalantly. Zelena growled and unleashed her green magic on her sister, but Regina was ready with an immobilization spell. She knew if she let Zelena get the upper hand that she might be evenly matched or even overpowered by her more experienced sister.
"Yes...I will be Queen and cast this curse, but you don't get to come. I'm going to cast you out for what you did! You destroyed my future with him and you did it on purpose!" she snarled, as she summoned another spell, while Rumple watched on with a pleased expression and Cora in one of awe. Zelena cried out in horror, as a twister came down out of the sky and snatched her up.
"Enjoy oblivion...witch!" Regina cackled with glee, as the twister carried her sister away to another realm.
"Regina...what have you done?" Cora cried.
"Aren't you happy, mother? I've become evil...just like you always wanted," Regina responded, as she approached the older woman.
"My revenge against you will be very sweet for what you did to Daniel. Now run home to your disgusting, degenerate husband and count your numbered days, because I'll be coming for you both," she warned. Cora looked at her former master, her eyes flashing with betrayal and she saw the smug look on his face. He was enjoying his own revenge against her. With no other choice, Cora disappeared in a puff of magenta smoke.
"That was fun," Regina commented.
"Yes...and there is more to come. The time for my curse will soon draw near. But there are still a few things I need that must happen," he replied. She shrugged.
"I'm in no hurry...it gives me more time to craft the perfect punishment for my mother. But tell me...does everyone else have to be miserable in this curse?" she questioned. He smirked.
"It's whatever you want it to be. But they all must fear it, so you need to sell it as their certain doom or they won't take it seriously," he responded.
"Easily done...as long as my mother and Zelena pay, that's all I care about," she replied. He giggled with glee. Things were going very well for him now.
~*~
Prince James dueled an onslaught of Arwan's best soldiers in an exhibition for the mighty King. George had insisted he showcase his talents when Arawn announced to the Kingdom that they were having a problem with a truly monstrous beast that threatened to destroy his entire army. The beast guarded an important mountain pass that was crucial to have control of in the next phase of the war. So Arawn had called for only the best to lead an onslaught on this dragon beast and slay it for him. James hated the idea of doing anything for Arawn and even mouthed off to his father about how he should make his stupid Sorcerer Vizier find a solution or the God Deimos, but that had gotten him a smack to the back of his head. Despite being grown now, his father never missed an opportunity to inflict abuse as his means of correcting him.
"Impressive…" Arawn stated, as James defeated all the soldiers quite swiftly.
"Yes...James is the best swordsman in all the Kingdoms," George boasted.
"Then he will lead a battalion of men and slay the beast that blocks our passage through the mountains," Arawn announced. James pushed down the urge to flee at that. The mission that Arawn was sending him on was certain suicide, but he didn't see anyway out.

Snow mewled into his kiss and panted in impassioned gasps, as he made love to her in the sand. The tide was coming in and washing over them. He kissed at her neck, desperately, as they chased the height of pleasure that was building between them.
"David…David…" she sung wantonly, as he pumped hot and deeply, their hips colliding with a euphoric feeling.
"Snow…" he rasped, as his lips worshiped her body. Snow raked her nails along his back, as she neared her climax, bringing him pleasured agony. They finally reached completion together, nearly simultaneously in an incredible wave of ecstasy, before they collapsed together, limbs tangled and water beading on their bare bodies.
As their skin quickly began to cool in the ocean water, they wrapped themselves together in the very large blanket they had brought with them and rested together against a rock, while they watched the sunset together. They kissed tenderly and cuddled, enjoying an afterglow that was just as euphoric as their lovemaking had been.
"I love you so much, my darling…" he whispered. She smiled at him, her emerald eyes sparkling with love.
"I love you too, my Charming," she replied, as she nuzzled her nose to his.
"Let's not wait any longer," he whispered to her.
"Any longer for what?" she asked.
"To get married," he responded, as she looked at him in surprise.
"But...the war isn't over yet," she reminded.
"And it may not be for years, Snow...I want to marry you now. Not then or whenever this war is done. I'm tired of that heartless King being the reason that you're not already my wife," he said. She smiled gently and he knew she felt the same.
"But we still might have to be separated sometimes," she reminded.
"I know...and as much as I hate it, at least I know you're safe from those lunatics in the Underworld and I will cherish every moment we're together and think of you every moment that we're not. I just want to be your husband while I do," he confessed passionately. A tear slipped down her cheek and she sniffed.
"I want that too...more than anything," she agreed, as their lips met again in a smoldering kiss. He smiled brightly back at her.
"Let's go tell our parents," he suggested, but she smirked at him slyly and tackled him to the sand again.
"Later…" she whispered, as passion overtook them again.

Rumple returned to his castle that evening and noticed with mild interest that his new maid was carrying out the duties of which he had ordered of her. The first few weeks with her had been tedious at best with a lot of crying, but she had eventually settled into a routine. As expected when he returned, she had the tea readied and poured it for him. Curiously, the cup she had chipped days ago was still there as neither of them could seem to toss the silly thing.
"How...how was your lesson?" Belle asked curiously.
"What do you know of my lessons?" he questioned.
"You always take spell books with you on this day and since you don't seem like the type that still needs a book to do magic, I deduced that you have a student," she replied, as he stared at her with scrutiny.
"Very observant," he finally said after an unnerving pause.
"And this one was more productive than usual," he commented, as he enjoyed his tea and that somehow brought a smile to her face. Which was curious, for she knew whatever he was teaching his student probably wasn't good. But the fact that he was pleased brought her a sense of comfort for him.
There had been a lot of development today. Now that his curse was securely in Regina's hands and Zelena was effectively no longer a problem. That meant that once the Savior was conceived, his plan would be accelerated. And there was still one thing he needed, he reminded himself, as he went to his potions cupboard. He had something in every slot, except for the one with the heart.
"What potion goes there?" Belle asked curiously.
"If you must know...it's true love. It's the only magic I haven't bottled," he replied.
"How can you bottle true love?" she asked.
"There is only one true love worth bottling and I've been waiting three hundred years for it to finally come to be. The time is finally at hand...but that's none of your business," he snapped. The time was finally drawing near. He would bottle the true love shared between Princess Snow White and her charming shepherd, the Savior would soon be conceived, and then his curse would be cast. Then he would find his son at last…
~*~
The next morning, all of them, except Snow and David were up early as usual, preparing for a family breakfast. Their children had come home very late and so they were letting them sleep in.
They were surprised though that morning to get a visit from Apollo. Ruth, Sera, Robert, and Eli hung back, as Persephone and Hades greeted him. The last time he had come directly to them was a few years ago after he had tried to show Arawn and Frollo the proof that Snow as framed for Ravenna's murder. And they both knew him coming to them personally could only mean bad things.
"Do you have news of the war?" Hades questioned.
"Yes...Arawn is attempting to move east with his conquest. A great and fearsome dragon blocks his path through the north eastern mountain ridge. He's already lost an entire battalion to this creature, but presses on to find someone to slay it," Apollo reported.
"If he invades the eastern Kingdom and manages to somehow overthrow their Emperor...his army's numbers will quadruple," Persephone feared.
"I believe that is his goal," Apollo confirmed.
"That's a huge undertaking, even for him. The Emperor's army is nearly five times as large as Arawn's, even with all the armies he has assimilated. There's no way they could overtake them, not without some serious advantages," Hades argued.
"Word has it that they are forcing peasants to work assembly lines and mass producing that weapon that Frollo created," Apollo replied.
"You mean the one that David was hit with?" Snow chimed in, as she and David came out of their cabin, hand in hand.
"Yes, I'm afraid so, dear niece," he confirmed.
"But I fear that is not the most disturbing news I have," he continued.
"Of course not," Hades muttered bitterly. He had a feeling his lull would be ending soon and he was going to be very busy once again.
"Frollo has found a map. He can't read it yet, but it the map to Bald Mountain," Apollo revealed, as he met Hades' eyes.
"That's not possible...I destroyed every map to that place," the God of the Underworld growled.
"There is a very old library in Lord Maurice's Kingdom that still had one...in a dead language, but Frollo has used his sorcery to give him a clue. He's traveling east as well in search of the hat," Apollo revealed.
"He cannot get that hat…" Hades growled.
"What hat?" David asked in confusion.
"The Sorcerer's hat...it's very powerful and will lead Frollo to an evil, demonic creature. He has a name I'd rather not speak, but we also used to refer to him as the black god," Persephone explained.
"The Black God?" Snow asked.
"Yes...a Titan that was so evil that your mother and I sealed it away in a volcanic mountain after the Sorcerer, who was supposed to guard the hat, got himself sealed away in a freaking tree," Hades said in frustration. She nodded.
"Originally, this demon was sealed away in the hat itself, but once the sorcerer was trapped, it was freed. It took all of us, including Zeus to seal it away in an enchanted volcanic mountain," Persephone explained.
"If Frollo gets the hat and finds the mountain, he can not only use the hat to release the creature, he and Arawn can control it too," Hades added.
"Then we have to stop Frollo," Snow stated.
"She's right," David agreed.
"You two aren't going anywhere close to this," Hades refuted.
"Yeah...no way in hell," Eli added.
"And not that you need it, but that goes triple from us," Robert agreed, causing the young couple to collectively roll their eyes.
"He's right...but we will be going to stop him," Persephone said. Apollo nodded.
"If they release the black god...then Arawn and Frollo will become unstoppable," he warned.
"Are you leaving right away?" Snow asked, as she and David exchanged a glance.
"We cannot delay much, snowdrop...but we do have the advantage of being able to magic ourselves ahead of Frollo," she said.
"Good...because before you go…" Snow said, as she addressed all of them and then looked at David.
"We want to get married," David finished her sentence, as they gazed at each other with love and eagerness. And no one present could help but smile, including Apollo.
"And I shall be glad to officiate such a destined union," he agreed, as preparations ensued.

Top 10 (or 5) most badass Disney Princes in your opinion?
I’m gonna do Top 5 so that I can explain my choices. Also gonna go from 5-1 if that’s okay.Alright!
#5. Anna from Frozen: Most would probably say Elsa, but I can’t agree. Look back at what Anna had to do. She finds out in one day that her sister had these powerful ice powers and watches her run away. She found this out after both having her memory of it wiped years earlier, and having tried for YEARS to connect to her sister and getting pushed away for, as far as she knew, no reason. So what did she do? She decided to face an everlasting snow storm to find her and bring her home. She could have easily froze to death or been killed due to the conditions, but she still did it. And while she needed Kristoff’s help, she mostly held her own. She beat up a wolf with a lute for pete’s sake! And in the end not only did she save Elsa, sacrificing her own chance at being saved to do so, but she got the last laugh on Hans by punching his lights out. Anna had no magic like Elsa or skill in the mountains like Kristoff. She only had her determination, and in the end it was through that and her endless love that Arendelle was arguably saved. She deserves a LOOOT more love than she gets.
#4. Ariel from The Little Mermaid: How could I not mention the first badass princess? SO many people  harp about her being selfish or her giving up for a voice for a man. Which A, the latter is stupid. And B, yeah okay she was selfish... so what? Ariel was the first proactive princess. She chased after her dreams. She fought a freakin’ shark just to get a few human trinkets, and she won!  When she realized that Eric was in danger, despite not being able to swim in her human form, she braved it anyways to try and put a stop to it. When Ursula tried to blast Eric into oblivion, Ariel grabbed her and re-directed the shot at the eels. Heck, while it failed, she tried to physically attack Ursula when she turned Triton into... whatever those weird worm things are. And in the sequel, she grabbed a sword and was ready to strike Morgana when she attacked during Melody’s birth. Ariel set the bar for modern Disney Princesses, and no one should ever forget that... also quit saying that she gave up her voice just for Eric and actually watch the dang movie haters!
#3. Rapunzel from Tangled: In the original movie, she’s a naive girl who wants to get out of her tower. When she does, she holds herself very well. She i a master at a frying pan, uses her hair in many creative ways, saves Eugene just as much as he does her, and int he end stood up to Mother Gothel. Even when bound and gagged, she refused to be controlled by her anymore when just the thought of disobeying her before drove her into a crisis. Then there’s Rapunzel int he animated series... OH MY GOD. She becomes a more adapt fighter, more independent, and refuses to let ANYONE control her life or keep her locked away anymore. Watch the Season One finale because it is amazing in so many ways. And the Season 2 premiere where we learn what kidnapping Eugene means for the poor saps. Rapunzel is a great modern Disney Princess and I adore her.
#2. Moana: Do I even need to describe why Moana is on her? Everything that this girl does is amazing. She teaches herself to sail, boldly goes against demonic forces like the Karamora and Tamatoa, stands up to a demigod and demands that she go with him to save her island, and what happens after Maui finally leaves? After help form her grandma, she decides ‘screw it, I’ll fulfill the prophecy myself’. And heck, she earned Maui’s respect that eh not only further taught hr to sail, but he ended up coming back to help her and let her be the hero. All as we saw that Moana, despite having trouble choosing between her dreams and her duties as future chief, is very much competent as a future leader, being quick thinking and always caring for her people. And she finds a way to have the best of both worlds, using her dreams to help her people find their paths once again. She is VERY close to being Number One, but ultimately there is one greater.
Honorable Mentions: Tiana (consider her Number 6), Merida
#1: Mulan: Anyone whose followed me probably isn’t shocked by this. But my bias aside, lets look at her. She’s a young girl who decides to go to war in her father’s place. She knows that war, or even just being discovered that she’s a girl, means death. She doesn't care, as long as her father is saved. She goes through relentless training, all while being mocked and pranked by other soldiers and Shang clearly having a low opinion of her, before he more or less throws her out. But she decides ‘screw that’ and keeps trying. Eventually, she inspires the others to be better and they al become a capable army unit. Then she uses a rocket on a freakin mountain to wipe out 99% of the Hun army and then saves Shang despite the massive avalance. Then after she’s discovered and decides to quit? She hears the Huns, and decides that she can’t. No deep soul searching or anything. She knows that the Emperor and citizens are ind anger, and she goes to help. When no one listens, she decides to take matters into her own hands. She makes the plan to rescue the Emperor. She reveals herself to Shan-Yu to save Shang. She come sup with the plan to blow him up via fireworks. She faces SHan-Yu, a huge, absolutely cold guy who survived an avalanche, with only a paper fan and SHE WINS. Then she gets praise from the Emperor and pretty much all of China bows before her. I don’t think even of the male heroes have ever gotten that kind of praise from an entire country. Mulan went from a clumsy girl who couldn’t seem to do anything right and felt like a dishonor to her family, to a national hero who proved that no matter who you are, you can become something great.

Five Fictional Charectos I most identify with
Ariel (The Little Mermaid)
There's a reason she's my OOC mascot and it isn't just because she's a redhead, when I was a kid EVERYTHING was Ariel, or atleast I tried to make it so (fun fact: In the early days Ariel was actually not a popular princess to be smacked on merchandise, Disney used to put her "in the vault" all the FREAKING time and so whenever there WAS something Ariel related available I would foam at the mouth for it... I still foam at the mouth for Ariel stuff to be honest but atleast I can just walk in Walmart and get practically anything these days) Ariel and I are actually completely opposite and completely the same, because where she only ever wanted to be human, I only ever wanted to be... anything but, especially a mermaid, I know it's a common thing for little girls to want to be mermaids but dude.... I SO wanted to be a mermaid, I would have utter TANTRUMS everytime it came to leaving the neighborhood pool because I just wanted to be in the water, I STILL love being in water even though I'm not a very good swimmer, but past that, Ariel is the oddball of her family who doesn't want to conform to what her dad wants (my mom is actually the same as I am, but she married someone who's very traditional in alot of his thinking and so a very large part of my childhood was spent trying to gnaw my way through his traditionalist ideas- with my mom's help ofcourse) I get so annoyed and protective of Ariel when people say that ~she abandonded everything she loved for a guy she didn't know~ excuse me no did you even WATCH the freaking movie? (Not to mention the TV show?) Ariel was desperate to get away from her father and her strict lifestyle COMPLETELY regardless of Eric, he was just a convenient excuse, and I'm pretty sure anyone who watched the TV series would agree that Eric could have been a TURTLE and she still would have made the deal with Ursula, it was never about wanting to be with Eric- that was a happy bonus- it was about being free, and although I'm not an adventurous person I completely understand that, I'll take any opportunity I can get to stab someone's traditionalist opinions (especially if they're in my family) and kick against it as hard as I possibly can, Ariel doesn't want to be what everyone else wants her to be and I'm SEVERELY lucky that I grew up with a mom who never had any of the same ass-backwards thoughts on what I "should" be that most other people did, I spent most of my young life fighting and biting everyone who tried to shove me into a box that I didn't want to be in and it was EXHAUSTING, if an evil witch had offered ME a three-day out solution to what I thought was freedom when I was sixteen? Yeah I would have taken that deal too, plus Ariel is a hoarder, let's be totally honest, and I identify with that, I, like Ariel, collect things- I have treasure troves and treasure boxes and book shelves that are honestly on the verge of collapse (I mean ALOT of them) and I.. may get extremely OCD about things (because hey, mental disorder, fun right?) For example I have a not-so-minor obsession with boxes, I hate throwing out a good box, I'm like a cat that way, if there's any POSSIBLE conceivable use for it I'll find a way to try to keep it (I really do feel sorry for my poor mother...) I sort of hoard wrapping papper too, Christmas is a nightmare just because THERE'S SO MUCH GOOD WRAPPING PAPPER OH MY GOD and I want to buy like twenty sticks of it, I also collect some really unusual things (well, depending on what you define as "unusual") and I have a very hard time letting go of things because I have this sense of "But what if I need it later?", I also LIVE for music, I may not be able to sing (although I used to try really hard) but music is a HUGE part of my life, and there were actually ALOT of episodes in the series where it's made very, very, clear that music is immensely important to Ariel too, not just because she can sing, but because of everything that music represents to her, I'm also a huge animal lover, let's be totally honest if there was ever a chance that I could sneak a baby orca into my room I would have, I love animals and babies and jewlry and those are all things Ariel has been associated with in the TV series (haha... ahhh that charm bracelet that nearly killed her... yeah that's exactly the kind of bullshit stunt I would pull probably) As much as I LOVE the newer princesses like Elsa and Moana, no one is ever going to replace the spot Ariel has in my heart, I still get overwelmingly excited over everything Ariel
Rukia Kuchiki (Bleach)
Oh my God the love I have for this girl... (even though Tite Kubo screwed her over to the point of no return) Rukia was my gateway into alot of things, cosplay, for example, wich I sadly don't do anymore but wich I still deeply, deeply, deeply love, Rukia is everything I WANT to be, she's beautifull and strong and gracefull and powerfull and I really don't have much in terms of her strengths.... her weaknesses, however, are alot like my own, she has virtually no self-esteem (especially at the beginning of the series) a bad temper, no ability to draw, a love of stuffed animals that literally almost costs her a fight at one point (I would throw my sword down and run into a mountain of plushies too...) an insane love for cute things, especially bunnies (I prefer puppies but still! BUNNIES!!) a general weirdness about her taste in things (she can go from creepy horror manga to adorable kitten plushie in zero seconds flat and so can I) she actually wears the exact same style of sundresses that I've been known to wear- especially when I was younger, she's very feminine and girly but really doesn't get into make up or traditional "girly" things like romcoms and gossip and, you know, the things that you hear girls "should" like out of tween magazines, she brawls with the boys and isn't afraid to fight dirty and because she's short that's sometimes all she can do (I'm only about an inch taller than she is) She's very quiet, shy, and respectfull..... if she deems you worthy of that in some way or if you're someone she wants to impress (This is a big reason why convention scenes never worked out for me, I'm very social and outgoing but I was always so worried about impressing other con people that I would just freeze up like a popsicle) Otherwise, if she's comfortable with you in some way, she's pretty brash, headstrong, opinionated, loud, and tempermental, ofcourse she has close freinds who she's very soft and gentle with because that's just how their relationship is, but then she also has freinds who she can freely cuss out at her leisure, I identify with her in alot of ways, in alot of ways- like Ariel- I don't, and alot of things about her are more things that I WANT to be rather than what I AM, but there's more than enough in there to be identifiable
Stiles Stilinski (Teen Wolf)
I was just telling my mom earlier today how the longer the series goes on the more I identify with him, I think (considering these aren't ranked in order) he's definately the fictional charector I identify with most, there are so many shades of him that are just identical to me to the point where I've heard him have conversations that are almost EXACTLY like conversations I've had, he has relationships that are EXACTLY like relationships I've had, it's uncanny, we're both just squishy humans (well... I'll argue magic!Stiles until the day I die but still) who really are pretty powerless in the big scheme of things so when we're on the offensive we use sarcasm and quick tempered insults to defend ourselves, or go charging into something with a weird weapon without thinking totally prepared to stab someone or smack them over the head if we have to (no kidding, last weekend I ran outside with my Rukia sword- a real sword by the way, althouh dull as cutting board- because I was worried about someone who was acting suspiciously in my driveway, but that's a long, personal story I won't be getting into) We're both bookworms who would much rather study the weirdest things imaginable than what we should *actually* study (Stiles had circimcission, I had manga) We both have really short tempers and although we MEAN well we do tend to bite if we're caught at the wrong moment, we're both at the "I'm pretty sure I'm bi but given my lack of romantic experience I'm also kind of timid about everything" stage, we both play fantasy RPGs (although his are probably more like video games and mine are more indie and group RP blogs) we have alot of the same taste in humor and in media, we both love werewolves to quite a startling amount and would 10000% take the werewolf's side of any argument, we're both very twitchy, very verbal, talk ALOT (if you couldn't tell) and have pretty much the exact same anxiety disorder, I have honestly, honestly, never seen my disorder represented as well anywhere as it is in canon with Stiles, I'm really not exaggerating when I say his is identical to mine, we're very creative people, we'll defend our loved ones with more fire and force than is at times warranted, we both have an IMMENSE love for our moms and a.. complicated... relationship with our dads, we both had some really massive trouble in school that came more out of people being unwilling to accept you when you're different than it did out of being dumb or being unwilling to study, a history of teachers hating us, a tendency to form relationships with people and hold on as tightly as we can even when they start hurting us and we should probably let them go, and I'm pretty sure if it ever came up Stiles would have some pretty awesome conspiracy theories (as do I *cough*) I could really just go on and on and on if you laid Stiles down on a map and started giving me push-pins but it's four in the morning and I'm tired
Yuri Katsuki (Yuri On Ice)
Yuri is probably the second best representation I've ever seen of anxiety (and I only rank Stiles first with that because his particular *type* of anxiety is most like my own, Yuri's and mine have some slight differences but are overall extremely close) and it's just such a constant, nagging,  part of him, the best way to describe it is something I read in a YOI meta once- "At the beginning of the series he was the best male figure skater in Japan and one of the top six in the world but he defines himself as 'your average, dime a dozen figure skater'", and that's... pretty much the disorder to a T, alot of times I know LOGICALLY that I'm better at something than I think I am, or not as bad as I think I am (I'm 21 and have published 13 books in the last three years, I can't be *that* bad of a writer logically but I still *feel* like I am most of the time) We both end up letting our emotions get the better of us, can be obsessive and perfectionists, we both have a soft spot for music and femininity and LOVE dogs, we both clearly prefer food to anything even remotely sexual and would probably marry food if we could (Yuri has katsudon, I have Ranch dressing, enough said) ... even when it hurts us... (Yuri put on weight, I'm actually allergic to alot of types of Ranch dressing and get pretty freaking sick from it sometimes, but does that stop me? No... my mom does, she stops me) We both have really super supportive mothers who have gone out of their way to gamble on something that most people can't make a career out of because they have faith in us, we're both not *great* with social media, we both are often intimidated by people in our talent feilds who are on level with or better than us, neither of us know what the hell we're doing when it comes to anything romantic or sexual (despite mainly RPing //BDSM threads// I actually have never even come somewhat close to finding eros myself- or anything even remotely romantic) We're both very timid about trying new things and need alot of convincing to do it, and if I didn't have a headache right now I could probably think of more
Misty Day (American Horror Story: Coven)
The animal-loving witch who dances with scarves and worships Stevie Nicks? Yeah, this is me, without a doubt, I love all things eccentric, especially clothes and music, I love Stevie Nicks, my own personal hell would probably, in fact, be identical to Misty's- between my immense love of animals and complete unwillingness to hurt them even if it literally saved my life, my utter HORROR stories related to school, being ruthlessly bullied for being weird, being forced to conform when I just wanted to escape..... yep, that's one personal hell for me, we don't think we're anything special and all we really want is to find a place to fit in where we can be who we are without having to conform to anything, neither of us even WANT to be some kind of big supreme thing, we just want to chill with our music and scarves and twirl around with our tribes (or wolf packs, whatever) We're both weird and a mix of outgoing and insecure and really just want some peace and quiet, we're both basically witch-hippies and if you think for one second that I wouldn't do to those alligator hunters exactly the same thing Misty did to them then you are terribly wrong because I //so. would.//, we're both kind of naive and airheaded at times and if I ever met Stevie Nics I would 100% faint from it too
Honorable mention: Luna Lovegood (Harry Potter) I've always been a Hermione girl but I probably have alot more in common with Luna, we're both so weird and eccentric and have been pushed around and bullied alot for that, we believe in things that other people don't see or believe in, we have our own weird fashion sense and we're more creative and imaginative than we are academically smart, ofcourse, the thing is, I'm a Slytherin ;)

Reprise (Chapter 22) [Frozen/Tangled/The Little Mermaid]
CHAPTER 22: Enchantment Under the Sea
Elsa met Rapunzel in the hallway. "You look gorgeous," she said.
Rapunzel had oysters clipped to her tail, as she had seen some others do, and put a sangria flower in her hair. "Thanks. You too."
Elsa wore a sash around her waist with a set of sapphire beads hanging in ringlets from the center.
"Can you believe that dressing room? All the cosmetics and frills and ornaments? There were colors I didn't even know existed. And so many things to put in your hair," Rapunzel said.
Ariel swam up behind them. "All ready?"
Compared to her, Elsa and Rapunzel felt underdressed. She had traded her ordinary top for one with star-like glitter. A string of pearls wound around her tail down to the fluke. In her hair lay a tiara of honey gold accentuated with mint emeralds.
"All ready," Elsa said.
Ariel clasped them on the back and led them to the grand hall. Melodious sounds of the band beckoned them in. The mermaids looked dazzling in their bright vestments covered with jewelry. Mermen wore auroral sashes, medals, and metal shoulder pads.
The seahorse herald floating in the doorway coughed.
"Announcing, her royal highnesses, Princess Rapunzel of Corona, Queen Elsa of Arendelle, and Queen Ariel of Atlantica."
The crowd cheered. Ariel leaned in to the herald and whispered, "Oh, no, I'm not actually a queen. I'm-"
Rapunzel grabbed her shoulder and pointed. "Are those neon eels? Wow. And look at those lantern fish. So many colors."
"This is the first time I've wanted to go to a ball," Elsa said.
Mermaids and mermen danced with each other in synchronized lines. On the surface, movements were limited to the floor. But in the sea, couples weaved in and out of lines, circled in spheres and loops. Just when they might run into each other, they rotated or slipped past in perfect grace. Spinning and diving and looping, but with the refinement of royalty.
The dance ended. The merpeople bowed to each other wherever they were--on the ceiling , in a corner, or floating in space alone.
The noise died down and Rapunzel heard Ariel describing people present.
"That is King Augustus of Olympia. They're kind of war-like, but they've never actually been to war. And his son Prince Thor is kind of snobby, but good at aquabatics." She gestured to the young man who had an odd blond mohawk with a ponytail. Both father and son wore gold-plated armor as their formal dress.
"Wait, Thor is a Norse name," Elsa said. "But they rule over Olympia, which sounds Greek?"
"Don't ask me. That fat one is King Orto." Ariel pointed out a rotund man wearing bright orange and holding up a goblet. He was laughing hysterically. "He's from Infernius, around a ring of undersea volcanoes. He's great at parties."
"How many kingdoms are there?" Rapunzel asked.
"Eight total. But they all unite under Atlantica's banner. Our kingdom is like the capital."
"Just as long as I don't offend anyone by doing something against customs," Elsa said, looking around nervously.
Now that the dance floor had cleared, the band struck up a bouncier tune. Merpeople cast aside their snack plates. Everyone from the highest lord to lowest knave swam to the dance floor. Rapunzel began shifting her shoulders with the beat.
"That's, uh... that's a pretty good tune," Rapunzel said. "Can anyone dance?"
Ariel laughed. "Go right ahead."
Rapunzel squealed and dove right in. She swirled around as if she were a goldfish in a bowl. Some of her neighbors gave her strange looks, given the human moves she was trying to make in a mermaid's body.
Ariel caught the eye of her six sisters at the other end of the room. They stood in a stolid receiving line as guests of great regard came up to them. Aquata's gaze pierced through the gyrating dancers.
"I think I better join my sisters," Ariel said. "It looks like they're welcoming guests."
"Can I come with you?" Elsa asked. "Dancing's not really my thing."
"Are you sure? It's pretty boring. Maybe go get some snacks first."
"Good idea," Elsa said. "I'll get some for you too."
Elsa positioned herself horizontal and swam to the snack bar. Ariel glided along the walls and set herself in her traditional spot at the end of the line. Alana and Andrina whispered hi, but a lean merman with a thin mustache approached, interrupting their conversation. Ariel recognized him as Satya, the viceroy from the Indian Ocean.
"Princess Ariel. I didn't expect to see you here," said Satya.
"Oh, I'm... just visiting," Ariel said.
"I heard you had gotten married, but didn't know to whom. Who's the lucky merman?"
Apparently, news of her breaking taboo hadn't reached all seven of the seas. "Oh, no one you know."
"Is he here tonight?" the viceroy asked.
"No, no, he had... other business."
The viceroy sniffled. "Must be important to miss the mermaid's ball."
"I'm sure he would have come if he could," Ariel said. Eric would like to see this.
"What kingdom is he from?"
"It's... it's a very small kingdom. Far away from here. You've probably never heard of it."
"Perhaps that is a blessing," Satya said. "If Atlantica wasn't so large, the queenship wouldn't always be in the turmoil it's in. You can hear the arguing all the way to the Caribbean. If three of them agree on something, it's a guarantee the other three won't. Too many crabs in the pot."
Ariel looked over to see if her sisters were hearing this. They were in conversation with other dignitaries, out of earshot. "Atlantica seems fine to me. The fish are happy, the music's playing," she said.
"Well, the nice thing about always being deadlocked is that nothing changes for the worse," Satya said. "Take for example, utility renovation in Eel-lectric City. They had dozens of proposals put to them. All kinds, good and bad. But they couldn't put their tail down on one because none were the perfect solution. They don't understand being a ruler means sometimes having to make a decision. Whether or not it's not all-encompassing. And the longer they take, the more citizens suffer."
"I... I didn't hear about that."
"See, you get it. I don't know why they can't. Anyway, I see the regent from the Gulf of Guinea. I must go to rub in my victory of our last game of pinochle." They shook hands again, said their goodbyes and swam off.
In fact, Ariel had only just "got it" She had watched Eric long enough to know if the kingdom had an issue to deal with, waiting did no good. It wouldn't get better on its own. And on occasion, he had made the decision that didn't make everyone happy. Raising taxes on crops meant angry farmers but, in the long run, better roads and schools.
To her right, a man was kissing Andrina's hand. She was doing her best trying to shake him off, but he wasn't getting the hint.
"Thank you. So much. Prince Finneas. Your sea cottage sounds lovely. I will definitely look into thinking about possibly being interested in joining you there for vacation someday."
Finneas waggled his eyebrows one more time and moved on.
"This happens all the time," Andrina said to Ariel. "They think these dances are just opportunities to court us. It's exhausting."
"Be lucky you don't have these problems," Alana whispered before facing another merman with a monocle. The dance music transformed into a crowd-pleasing mid-beat, encouraging couples onto the floor.
Rapunzel would not stop dancing her tail off. Twisting and turning to the beat while onlookers applauded. She was painting a picture that sound alone couldn't communicate, floating in a serenity no one could interrupt.
"Ariel!" someone shouted. A boy was waving and rushing toward her. Ariel cringed, remembering Andrina's and Alana's warning, until she recognized him.
"Gil? Gil, is that you?"
Her cousin Gil swam up to her. They hugged.
"I haven't seen you in years," Ariel said.
"I thought I'd never see you again." He brushed the stringy cinnamon bangs out of his face. "You went to live in the human world, right?"
"Right. But I'm here for... well, just lucky I guess."
Elsa swam up to them, holding a hand-sized seashell with various tidbits. She wasn't paying much attention, as her eyes were glued to the new food. "I didn't know what you wanted so I grabbed a bit of everything. Most of them taste like different combinations of sugar and salt. I bet they'd be great with some chocolate." She popped something rectangular and grainy into her mouth. "Thif one'f fticky. Like peanut butter and molaffeff. Also, thefe thingf that look like cupcakef are feaweed?"
"Gil, this is my friend, Elsa. Elsa, this is my cousin Gil."
Elsa looked up. Her eyes widened, mouth trapped in mid-chew. She swallowed. "Wow... I-I mean 'how'. How do you do? How are you?"
Gil's eyes didn't blink either. "Fine, fine... great... beautiful. I mean, I'm not beautiful. You're beautiful. Wait, what?"
Ariel smirked. "You know, Gil was just saying how he wanted someone to dance with."
"Oh... really?" Elsa muttered.
Gil offered his hand. "Would you like to?"
Thoughts of this new body, memories of the coronation two years ago, never materialized in her brain. She took his hand and let Gil lead her to the floor. Ariel grabbed the dish out of Elsa's hand before she dropped it.
The music followed the tempo of a waltz. Elsa fell into it naturally, vigilant of Gil's cues while gazing into his eyes.
"I don't dance all that much," Elsa said, clutching for things to say. "At least I can't step on your toes." She forced a laugh.
"Huh?" Gil said.
Agh, stupid. He didn't even know what a toe was. "Um, I mean, I'm used to a different kind of dancing."
"What kind?" Gil asked. He had amazing chestnut eyes. Elsa imagined Gil would be an archer in the human world. His chest was narrow and sculpted, with long lithe arms. Perfect for drawing a bow.
"Oh, um, the kind... from my kingdom. This is my first time in Atlantica. But Ariel's been great helping me out."
"How do you know Ariel?"
"Oh... it's a funny story actually." As funny as you can make trying to kill someone. "I was caught in a shipwreck- um, exploring one I mean. My tail... got trapped under some boards and Ariel saved me."
Gil smiled. "She does love her shipwrecks. You'd never guess she's such an explorer."
"I'm so often surprised by how looks deceive. Especially these days. I mean, look at all these people around us. They're all kings and queens and dignitaries. But I'm sure they've got secrets and things we'd never guess by looking at them."
"What's something I'd never guess by looking at you?" Gil asked.
Where would she start? She was a human. She was a queen. She had ice powers. Most recently, they had fought a wizard capable of bending time. Her cousin had hair seventy feet long that could cure wounds. There was plenty to pick from, if she wanted to end this dance right away.
"Oh... lots of things... If I started telling you my secrets, they wouldn't be secrets, would they?" she chided. Then wanted to throw her head in her hands for sounding like a nanny. "I mean, I just..."
"No, no, it's my fault. Sorry. I didn't mean to ask something so personal. But at least you're honest." He smiled.
She smiled back, realizing he was just trying to get to know her. "How about you? I know you're Ariel's cousin. I wouldn't have guessed that. Does that make you a prince?"
"Technically. But we don't hand out titles or rule any land. Unless you count the ranch for giant seahorses we own."
"You raise giant seahorses?"
"Sure. Most of the seahorses in Atlantica's stable come from us. When Ariel and I were merkids, we raced them into the kelp forests. In fact I was late today because one... well, it's a long story."
"Tell it," Elsa said excitedly.
"Okay. So we've got Starflash. He's usually good, but he's been getting ornery for some reason. I thought it was because of the new feed. When we got them all in for the night, he wasn't there. Now when a seahorse gets out, that's loads of trouble. They wander off and they're easy pickings for a shark."
"They must be hard to find too," Elsa said, spinning as he raised his arm. "It's not like they leave tracks."
"Darn near impossible. But I volunteer to go out and look for him. Which makes me easy pickings for a shark. But I'm thinking I can't just do nothing and write him off."
"That sounds so brave." The story made Elsa tense, even though he obviously survived. "Did you find him?"
"Yup. I felt like the luckiest guy in the world. Found him nestled up in some rocks under a plateau. And right beside him was a brand new baby calf. Can you believe it? I had no idea he was carrying."
"Wait, he had a baby calf?" Elsa asked.
"Yeah, the males keep the baby in their egg pouch. Didn't you know that about seahorses?"  Gil gave her a quizzical look
"Oh. No I didn't." Clearly this was something she should have known so Elsa redirected him. "So Starflash is all right?"
"Oh, yeah. It's the calf that's the ornery one now. Fatherhood must be taking it out of him. Little girl's always tail-wrestling. In fact, that's how she got her name--Curly."
Elsa couldn't stop grinning. Her cheeks were sore from smiling so much.
Trumpets sounded. Merpeople cleared the dance floor. Gil escorted Elsa off to the side as the herald stood at the end of the room.
"What's going on?" Elsa asked.
"It's time for the Atlantican Royal Dance," Gil whispered. "It's a tradition."
"Ahem-hem..." the seahorse herald said. "And now, for your enjoyment, the seven royal sisters shall conduct 'the dance of the princesses'."
The herald swam to the side as the crowd applauded. Arista and Aquata led the sisters two-by-two to the dance floor. They reformed into a circle, hands in the middle, waiting for the music to start.
The band played a smooth, low-toned melody of nobility and awe. They rotated along the circle, changing direction with the rhythm.
"First time we've done this all together in years," Adella whispered.
"Wasn't I here the year before?" Ariel asked.
"No," Arista snapped, still whispering. "You left after the first song. You said you had to write a letter."
"Arista, ease up. She's here now," Andrina whispered. She turned to Ariel. "Do they dance like this on the surface?"
"A lot like this," Ariel said. "We actually have a lot in common. There's an instrument just like the sea calliope. And they have a version of the crab scouts. And the same games and art and music."
Arista sniffed. "Good to know you've been having such fun since you left. Meanwhile we're just down here, running a country the size of the ocean."
"I have my own kingdom too, you know," Ariel said.
"Then the human world must be a real paradise. It can run itself without a leader."
"That's not true. We're having problems," Ariel said. And she knew exactly why--because of her. "It's hard... making decisions."
"You have no idea how hard it is, even when it's peaceful," Arista said.
The circle spun round and round, faster and faster.
"It's up to you all to share the leadership. Daddy always said working together was-"
"Don't you dare talk about Daddy," Aquata chimed in. "You didn't even come for his funeral."
"How could I have?" Ariel asked. "I was human. I was in a totally different world. How was I supposed to get there? I can't change back and forth."
"You should have found a way. They still have magic on the surface, right?" Aquata snapped.
"You got here, didn't you?" Adella added.
"That's different. And that's the whole reason I'm here. I'm trying to find a solution to get rid of it," Ariel said. Were they all taking the opposite side? The spinning faces whirled, spitting out arguments she couldn't keep track of.
"So you do hate being a mermaid," Arista said.
"No!" Ariel said.
"Daddy wouldn't have died if you hadn't gone to the surface," Arista said.
Arista, Andrina, and Alana gasped. "Arista! How can you say that?"
"Well, it's true. He died of a broken heart." Arista looked at Ariel. "When you left, everything went bad."
"That's not my fault," Ariel said. "This isn't my kingdom anymore, it's yours. I don't know why you aren't getting along, but it's not because of me."
"You had a responsibility to your kingdom. To Atlantica," Arista said. "Now you aren't here, so you don't know. You went to the human world and left us. I just hope you're proud of yourself. Because we're all miserable."
The music stopped, as did the conversation. All seven raised their hands in the air, reaching toward each other in a halted circle. The crowd was applauding, but no one saw the eyes making dirty glances at each other within.
The sisters turned away and swam from the dance floor, leaving Ariel in the center, breathing deeply.
Elsa didn't notice how stoic Ariel was. She was still clapping. "That was amazing," she said to Gil.
"Thing of beauty," Gil said. "Something about royalty makes it more elegant." He put his hand on her arm.
She seized, heart pounding. His touch felt like an invigorating blast of ice. "I- I- I- I-"
Her eye caught someone in green floating into the hall. It was Dudley, holding a large bound book.
"Oh, excuse me," she said. "There's... I... someone just came in... I need to speak with... not another guy, just... information... he has. Excuse me." She turned away and started to swim, cringing from that stew of nonsense.
"Oh... okay." Gil gave a confused, half-hearted wave.
Elsa turned back. "I loved dancing with you." Then turned around again. Ugh, why did she say that? It was true, but it sounded so awkward.
Elsa found the yellow ribbon trailing in a corkscrew from Rapunzel's maneuver.
"I'm not even tired," Rapunzel said. "This is so fun! I have a sugar headache from all the snacks. We should all dance together." She twirled around, her hair trailing behind.
"Dudley's here," Elsa said.
"Oh." Rapunzel stopped. "Let's get Ariel."
Ariel was still in the middle of the floor as others danced around her. She tugged on her arm.
"Wh-What?" Ariel said. Elsa pointed to the sea turtle in the doorway.
The three of them swam off the dance floor and approached him.
"Dudley, did you find something?" Elsa asked.
"Ah-huh," Dudley said in his weak little voice. He handed them the book wrapped around his flipper.
Elsa held it out for them all to read. "This book is ages old. Written by... Abirmus nyz Ikstus."
"He was an ancient sorcerer and scholar, before Atlantica was founded. This must have been deep in the archives." Ariel turned to Dudley. "How long did it take you to find this? It must have been hours."
"Uh... no... it was... on the shelf... right next to me... Just... rushed here."
Elsa studied the text. "It's talking about relics of the gods. Artifacts and fragments left behind... Here. 'The sands of time are a divine essence leftover from the creation of the world. Eternally falling from the beginning of infinity to its end. It has no guardian and no destructor. It always has been and always will be."
Ariel took over. "'A single grain made its way into the realm of mortals, where it faded into the terran macrocosm. There it lay for eons, indistinguishable from any other speck of earth'."
"'Until someone discovered its existence'," Rapunzel continued. "'By prying open the mouths of the long dead to hear the whispers of the gods.'"
"'Knowing what its power meant, sorcerers and necromancers went mad trying to find it. Mere preparation for pursuit meant tapping into ancient dark magics. Few remained uncorrupted. Those that weren't lost track of their goal, possessed by their power," Elsa said.
"What's the last thing it says?" Rapunzel asked. "Is there a way to destroy it?"
Elsa skipped to the bottom. "It doesn't say. It's all about the people trying to find it. Messing with fundamental essences, like hate and sorrow. The last man they mention, the madness and chaos deteriorated his spirit. He deteriorated little by little, until nothing remained but hate and anger. He became an incarnation of discord itself."
"Does it know who that was?" Rapunzel asked.
"No." Ariel took a deep breath. "But unfortunately, I do."
