look i love a good de aged lance fic and obviously when i was making these bookmarks i was scrolling my way thru the tag. and this one is especially amazing bc it is coran centred! this is a coran fic! this is a fic about quiet grief in the life you never got to live and acceptance for the life you have now and love for the people life has brought you!! it is about coran finding family through people who so desperately need it!! it is everything!!

Hello, hi, i started following your blog recently and I just wanted to that it feels so nice to see someone talk about the harm of sex work and that it’s actually exploitive and harmful WITHOUT the “purity culture filter” and with actual care towards the women.

Context: I grew up in a Christian conservative environment so I was obviously bombarded with the good ol’ “Your body belongs to your husband” and “sex is something that you give, women get pleasure from giving themself to their husband” and so on. Even at a young age I always felt that that was wrong but I didn’t have the knowledge to argue against it.

Being taught that “sex is a duty/chore” really messed me up.

I was taught why sex work was harmful and exploitative and I understood that those women needed help. But, instead of empathy or kindness towards the exploited women, the old conservative ladies would shame them, saying that “these women are stupid, they should get married and belong to their husbands instead!

So I turned to feminism. But that quickly died when the, dare I say, trend of OnlyFans and “sexual empowerment” started. It was the same things I was taught as a kid but with a “liberal filter” on it!

Liberal feminists scream that “actually, sex is just an act that you can give to someone for money” “Sex isn’t sacred or personal, it’s just work!”

And that’s when I lost hope. I felt like women would always just be their to “give sex”. Like it really was out only biological purpose. And the worst part is I genuinely started to believe that.

It wasn’t until I discovered radical feminism through the “terfs tag” (I looked it up because I was curious) and literally all the problems and questions I had about women and womanhood were answered! I started to dig deeper and I’ve never been happier, I actually found a movement where we women get to be women and actually have our biology be acknowledged and also our autonomy and so much more!

This got a little wordy but I do want to share my gratitude towards you and other RadFems out there 💕 thank you for not letting the loud people get you down, you are doing an amazing job, all of you guys. 💕 💕 💕

and your personal story is very interesting! since i didnt have a very religious upbringing i dont know this side - but it makes total sense! liberal feminists fall for the madonna-whore complex without even realising it. for them its either be monogamous and save yourself for one person or have sex with random strangers who dont give a fuck about you, no inbetween. and as you say, both conservatives and liberals treat sex as a service and chore a woman does for a man! thats not fucking sex positive! sex positive feminism teaches women to discover our sexuality independent from men, through masturbation and talking about our experiences etc, and demand equal satisfaction when with men, enthusiastic consent and saying no if youre unsure or uncomfortable or dont really want to!

radblr helped me so much. i identified as gender fluid for the longest time because i felt like i didnt fit in with the girls in school and the women at work, and radblr helped me see that there is no wrong way to be a woman, that im good the way i am. it was healing. and when i was in prostitution it helped me to have this community to vent to, and now that im out it helps me to work through my experiences, and to engage with likeminded women in this society where all sides of the political spectrum try to manipluate us into serving men!

hello i have so many thoughts about triage

ok so short version i think what probably happened is his wife was sick and he tried to use organ transplants from his children to save her and it didnt work*. this is just going to be me dumping all my thoughts and hoping they make sense

*maybe they were incompatible because his kids got more of his genes. he might also feel guilty about that.

*other option is they WERE compatible so he took organs from his kids to use as a transplant for his wife and this possibly killed the kid(s) and/or it just didnt take anyway so all three of them died. considering how the bit after the bridge shows all three of them liquifying i think they all died

^ ive seen a lot of theories about how it might be medicine but i feel like with the organ compatibility labels in throw down this might be like. labels for when youre transporting organs? and him handing it to his son is like handing down his fate (death) and he feels sooo guilty about it

“those cards of promise i discarded, they were retribution for my incessant taking” aha. because he had been taking organs from patients he was being “punished” by fate by  getting incompatibility reports. this begs the question does he believe in some karmic fate or a higher power? which makes his deal with amane interesting

OK starting from the beginning now. i think its really interesting how hes shown in much more casual clothes because in throw down it was either doctor uniform or like designer clothes? so this is almost like a third side of him

“in that case, i should’ve been the one” he feels, looking back, like he should’ve sacrificed himself to save his wife instead of their kids

the arches are so interesting i think they represent choice, his choice of who to save: his wife or his kids. shidou in casual clothes is seen walking in front of the arches and then in more formal clothes hes standing between them, forced to make a choice

the flowers wilting as he walks by them... man. i dont have anything to say its just a neat imagery on how he causes death or whatever

pomegranates... pomegranates  r so symbolic of various things like  life and death (think persephone) . i do not need to go into all that. everyone know about the fruit having the medical labels so that represents maybe medicine?

“killing, extracting, i still wont see them again” despite all his efforts it didnt work and he couldnt save his wife and ended up killing their sons. sad! well theres other worlds

i think the visuals in that bit are also interesting but moreso in a way of like. ok hes a doctor of course theyre well off but like dayum!! lobster? and pomegranates? expensive tastes. like how  this whole pursuit is costly hmm?

“i need to be tagged as red” he feels so guilty and thinks he deserves to die. im  not elaborating on this too much everyone knows this and he repeats it multiple times.

the octave? pitch change from that part to the chorus is really drastic and i feel like that denotes that the chorus is specifically him in milgram thinking about it and not just his memories

“the love that wont perish” oh OH.  oh.    hey . what if he sees the innocent vote as  a cruel love that wont die  unlike his wife who did die.  hey wouldnt that be fucked up

the older (?) kid looks like he liked shidou more because he runs to him when he gets home, whereas the other one stays by his mom’s side... man if that kid was shidous favorite and trusted him more that would hurt EXTRA if he was the one that shidou was mainly taking transplants from

hes indispensable so now he feels like hes not allowed to die because the other prisoners need him...

ok in the bridge i think its interesting because when the guilty line shows up, only one of the arches shadows is visible, but on the innocent line, both of them are visible... he feels guilty because of the choice he made but maybe if hed managed to save everyone then his actions wouldve been justified and forgivable. also more pomegranates representing death and i think the pancakes represent their happy home life

this part is fascinating because while he feels like he IS guilty and SHOULD be sentenced to death... he wants to have a purpose again (helping people) and he wants to have a reason to live and he wants to redeem himself... “to extract that fang” i know some people are interpreting this as oh hes gonna get rid of kotoko. but honestly i think he just wants to heal and mitigate the damage shes doing (the “fang”)

the chorus sounds weird when you first listen to the words but like.... hes so sickened by his own actions... he doesnt believe he should be forgiven but he does want to live deep down. “i want to be innocent, i want to live”

if anyone has any ideas on the “hurling slurs of ‘hostage game’“ or if theres a better translation... i do not really understand this line at all... maybe it represents how he feels like he has a choice between the lives of either kotoko or the other guilty prisoners... like he had to choose between his wife and their kids... because in a hostage situation you cant get everything you have to compromise

“you do know that its up to me” ahaha noo dont develop a god complex. and as he says the last “im indispensable” he puts the doctor outfit back on....

the callie is pit girl theory i think got debunked by the creators (though tbh like, it's a mystery show and we shouldnt necessarily take anything they say in interviews as gospel). but i do think it's not her, in that i do think that the pilot cold open does take place in the '96 timeline, as opposed to a red herring of it actually being in the present day. like, i think cool as it would be as a gotcha, ultimately, opening with them in the depths of their despair and desolation and wilderness and bloodthirst and working out from that in two directions of the timeline will always be the most powerful way to interpret that cold open.

that SAID i do think that there's a decent likelihood that the cult takes an interest in callie in some form...

which kind of segues into my wilderness baby theories???? basically like!!! fertilization taking full effect takes a few days, right? which is to say that the first time the fetus really enters into existence, they're already in the wilderness. it's already post-crash. there's lottie's line that "it's in you already" during blood hive. considering these insane posts from @smellingwormholes my beloved, that feels like the Thing in the Forest, you know? like, it, as in The Entity, is Literally In Her, in that the fetus is literally in her. also the fact that like, the Spirit seems to fully take hold of them during doomcoming, and like if shauna is taking the magic cursed forest shrooms, so is the fetus, you know?

i'm not positive whether the kid will live or not -- logically it seems unlikely, but also like, a lot of the way healing works on this show -- ben's leg not getting horribly infected, van's face healing as well as it did -- feels like maybe something else is helping them along? the buffering patreon podcast on yellowjackets talked about a theory that what if the forest is keeping them alive, you know? what if it wants them to live so it can kill them off later? which is to say whether or not the wilderness baby survives childbirth, and whether they live long past that, whether they're still alive in the 2021 timeline, that baby belongs to the forest in some sense.

which kind of goes back to the callie thing. the wilderness baby as a child that shauna feels doesnt really belong to her. it's the baby that she associates with starvation and despair. it's the baby that, probably in her eyes, led to jackie's death. it's the baby that belongs to the forest and the blood cult. there's something about shauna coming back to civilization and trying to live in a shell of what she imagined jackie's life would be, creating a mausoleum to jackie in her own home, her own body. there's something about her naming her daugher callie. one letter onto the girl who didn't get on the plane. having another child with the person she imagined jackie would have stayed with. like, callie in a sense, in shauna's mind, being jackie's baby. the baby jackie would have had if she'd lived.

when, of course, callie is so deeply shauna's child. kldsfjkf one of the reasons i love callie is she has shauna's bitchiness with jeff's confidence and it makes her an unstoppable monster and i think that's fucking cool of her i love her so much callie u've never done anything wrong in ur life babygirl!!!!!!!!! but like, shauna having a child thinking it's saving her from who she is, thinking it can make her more like someone who didnt grow up to be this. when in fact her child is just like her, and her child also is forcing her to look at her trauma head-on -- the jackie-jeff scene mirroring the shauna masturbation scene. callie not taking the chuck out of the freezer being what takes us in the present timeline into shauna's butchery skills. callie telling shauna youre so not fine. you think i can't see that? i feel crazy about it!!!

but anyway like, i think the tangled web of shauna's children both belonging and not belonging to her, the cult mentality of "you took something that didn't belong to you" re: jackie and travis, jackie dying as a first sacrifice, allie's leg breaking as a first sacrifice, callie being linked in the potential energy and wistfulness of what-ifs to both allie and jackie. even just, callie being shauna's daughter, her heir in a sense, and my personal theory that shauna was very high up in the cult structure . it just makes sense to me that the cult will come for callie at some point, try to draw her in.

like, i don't think callie is the cold open pit girl. but i don't think that'll stop someone from trying to make her a pit girl one day.

i understand that this is seen more among the older games (ashley + leon from re4 as well) and i cant speak for the og re3 nemesis but the way they wrote carlos and jill? its just.... why make these male characters say such bizarre and degrading and just ? nasty comments towards the female protag? do you really expecvt us to root for them? i just dont fcuking undeerstand, and this occurs in a remake too! they didnt bother to maybe just maaaybe take that bulllshit out. because jill's uncomfortable. IM uncomfortable. its just. godddd who the fuck caaaares STOP THIS TROPE

long story short . i get im not resident evil's target audience . but im still gonna be pissed and annoyed . the girls deserve better .

HFJOne 8 theory

spoilers for one 6, 8, 13 and 17 under the cut

TL;DR: Airy explodes in one 8 and spends the next 7 months trying to get back to the plane.

So we all know in one 8 airy shattered his fucking face right? I have a theory on what exactly happened

It appears airy is an oil lamp as seen earlier in one 17 (he's fumbling around in the dark and turns on and there's a flame in him) and if you don't care for or use your oil lamp properly the glass will crack and shatter and it will explode.

Considering how stone opened liams zipper and out the notes in, how liam unzips open later in the episode, byrce cant go underwater because he is a bottle, and airy can turn on: peoples objects probably function just like objects would normally, at least from where airy and liam are from (liam asks airy if hes from earth and he says yes if i remember correctly)

My theory is that since airy is living in the middle of god damn nowhere he wasn't able to care for himself properly or maybe he was trying to turn off but he fucked up and exploded halfway through eliminating liam, causing his bulb to shatter and him to die. He would then go to the waiting room, and see Julien (toothpaste) waiting there. He'd then probably use the radio to try to get back to the world with the plane. However: he doesn't know the number so he's stuck trying to guess it for 7 months until he finally makes it back.

Now you may be thinking: if Airy was in the waiting room then wouldn't he see Julien and revive him when he gets back? The answer is yes, but no.

When Liam first dies in one 6, he goes to the waiting room and skts down next to Julien. Later on when he, Byrce, and Texty get struck by lightning in one 13, they aren't on the plane anymore and they go to a waiting room without julien and a bunch of other people, probably dead.

This leads me to believe that each universe has it's own waiting room, where people who die in that universe go to. So if you die on the plane you go to the plane's waiting room, if you die on earth you go to earth's, etc.

If Airy is transporting himself to different universes for 7 months, and then dying in those universes to get back, then he'd be in a different waiting room each time. Doing 7 months of the same thing repeatedly would probably make him forgey Julien was even still waiting in the first place

So that's my massive theory hesdcanon thing

authors note: so this isnt that good and i know a lot of corpse fics use a similar plot. i just wanted to try to write for corpse. hopefully things i write for him in the future are better. let me know what you think tho! also i really wanted reader to be best friends with karl bc i love him sm. uh every swiggly line is like a small time skip. this was written late at night btw and i didnt take much time to go over it

You sat up from laying down when you heard your phone ring. You looked at the caller ID.

Felix.

"What's up Felix?" You ask with a small yawn.

"Aww, how sweet," You hear in the background.

You giggle and ask, "Is that Sean? Hi Sean!"

"Yeah, we're playing Among Us and need an extra player. You down?" Felix explained.

"Sure, just give me a few minutes. See you soon, whore"

"Bitc-" You hang up before he can finish.

You got up and turned off your TV, going to get ready.

You quickly tweet out that you're going live and say something on your insta story as well. You start your stream and slowly watch people flood in.

"Hey everyone! How are you guys doing?" You wave and smile, reading the chat.

"Everyone doing good, awesome! And i'm sorry to anyone having a bad day. I hope i can brighten it a bit!"

"Okay, sorry i didn't give you a further notice. I didn't even know i was gonna stream. Felix invited me to play Among Us so... here we are!"

You quickly join the discord and pull up the game, putting a cover over where the code goes.

"Hello?" You ask as you join the call. A chorus of greetings came your way.

"(Y/n)?"

"Karl!" You smile brightly.

Karl Jacobs was a good friend of yours. You would play on the Dream SMP sometimes. When you would, it would mostly be you being stupid with Karl and Alex, also known as Quackity. You were even a well know citizen of El Rapids.

"LET'S GOOOOO!" He yelled, making you laugh.

"Hey (Y/n), do you know everyone here?" Sean asks you.

"Um," You quickly scan through the names, "no, i don't think so."

You recognized names but you only personally knew Felix, Sean, Karl, and Ethan.

"Oh my god! Your voice is so cute!" Pokimane exclaims.

You giggle softly, "Thank you Poki!"

You're voice wasn't high pitched or anything like that, you just always spoke very softly and calmly. You were also a bit quiet.

Felix introduces you to those that you didn't know.

"There's one more person we're waiting for," He says.

While everyone waits, you and Karl run around each other's little characters and make jokes between yourselves. You mute yourself to read donations every once in a while.

You hear the discord chime, signaling that someone joined the call.

"WAIT CORPSE! DON'T SPEAK YET!" Felix yelled. "We have a new player. This is my friend (Y/n), say hi to her"

"Hello (Y/n)," Corpse said. You were taken aback by how deep his voice was but you didn't show it.

"Hi Corpse! Nice to meet you!" You said happily.

"Okay, how is she not freaking out?" Bretman said, making everyone laugh.

"Uh, (Y/n), do you mind letting me have black? It's cool if not.." Corpse asked gently.

"O-oh sure, no problem." You were usually black with the pink flamingo hat, but you ran over to the little computer and changed your color.

"Simp," Ethan mumbled, knowing you never switch from black.

"Thank you," He said, then the game started.

The word “Imposter” appeared on your screen in red, yours and Corpse's characters underneath.

As the game started, you thought no one could hear you so you spoke to your chat. "His voice was so deep, what the fuck? Holy shit that was hot, i'm gonna-"

"(Y/n)," Rae laughed, "You know we're playing proximity chat, right."

You blushed as you realized and said "Ha, anyways..." and ran to start faking tasks.

You ended up in electrical with Karl. "(Y/n)! My good friend, my buddy, you would never kill me right? Haha..." He said.

"Of course not, Karl! My good friend, my buddy. Why, I'm not even imposter," I said as i quickly dipped into the vent and back out, making him laugh.

I decided to show him because I knew Karl wouldn't say anything, and it's funny.

"Oh that's good then. Are you sure you're not imposter?"

"Mhm, pretty sure," You said, going back in. As you came out, Sykkuno walked in and froze.

"Uh, (Y/n)?"

"Fuck... Karl run! Go!" You said, Karl starting to leave. You walked closer and quickly killed Sykkuno then vented to security.

"That was close..." You told your chat.

You saw Corpse as you made your way around the map and walked into navigation.

"Hey, Corpse, how ya doing?"

"Ah you know, good. Just being crewmate and all."

You stifled a laugh, "Oh yeah I feel that, buddy."

"Yeah because there's no way that i'm imposter. No way i could be faking tasks and there's no possible way you could be the other imposter" He said quickly.

"For sure. Hypothetically speaking, though, if you were imposter, how many people would you have killed by now?"

"I would say probably around two."

"Interesting," You said right before a body was reported. It was Sykkuno's. Felix and Rae were also dead.

"WHAT!" Corpse yelled.

"Where was the body at?" Sean laughed.

"Uh I found it in electrical," Bretman said.

"I'm pretty sure Karl was in there earlier."

You calmly said, "It's not Karl, I was with him for most of the round."

"How do we know the two of you aren't imposters?" Sean asked.

"I was alone with him, he would have taken the chance to kill me."

"No, he's your best friend."

"He's also ruthless,"

"TRUE! SO TRUE!" Karl yelled.

"So skip?" Corpse asked.

Everyone agreed and the voting was skipped.

The next round, I spent with Ethan. He was pretending to be mad at me because Sean said Karl was my best friend.

"What happened to Blue Boi Buddies, huh?!" He exclaimed.

"Neither of our hair is even blue anymore!" You argued back.

You were in reactor with him when Corpse and Poki walked in. He hit the lights and you took it as a sign to double kill. He killed Poki, you killed Ethan, and the two of you made your way to electrical to help fix lights.

You and Corpse went the opposite direction of reactor after the lights were fixed, Karl going with you.

Poki's body was reported. That double kill only left you, Corpse, Sean, Karl and Bretman. You only needed two more kills.

"I still think it's Karl and (Y/n)," Sean said quickly.

"I was with (Y/n) the whole time," Corpse said, "In fact, I think it's you."

"That does make sense. Why so quick to accuse others, Sean?" You ask.

"It's not me!" He yelled.

"I actually agree with Corpse and (Y/n)," Bretman said.

"I was with you!"

We all voted for Sean, him voting for Karl. Sean was ejected.

When you load into spawn, you wait for the kill cool down and kill Bretman, saving Karl.

"Victory" appeared on your screen.

"God damn it!" Sean yelled.

"Good job, (Y/n)," Corpse said lowly.

You smiled, a slight blush on your cheeks, "You too Corpse."

"Their voices go together and they're a fuckin dream team? What have i done...," Felix sighed.

A few more games went by. Most of them you and Corpse spent together, whether you were both crewmates or if one of you was imposter.

You really enjoyed his company and you actually got along with him pretty well.

"(Y/n), before we get serious, I have one question to ask you." Corpse said as both of your characters stopped.

"What's that?" You giggled.

"Do you know Bingus?"

"Bingus? As in, our lord and savior, Bingus?"

You could hear the smile in his voice, "It's settled, you're my wife now."

This made both of you laugh and your chat go crazy.

Eventually, people had to start leaving. You said your goodbyes to everyone and left the discord call and the game.

You set stream to where it was just your face cam.

"Guys, what should we do now?"

You saw some people asking what time it was for you.

"It's 3 AM right now... I’m not tired though.” You had been streaming for a few hours; You never even noticed how late it got.

People in chat were yelling at you to go to sleep, making you chuckle.

“How about we do a quick QnA, then at 3:30 I go to bed. Deal?”

You watched as the chat filled with questions. They obviously seemed to like the idea.

“‘Who is your best friend? Karl or Ethan?’ Neither, Alex Quackity. Next question.” You answered quickly.

You laughed, “I’d like to clarify that that’s a joke, i love all my friends equally.”

You answered more questions. Some were from new viewers asking basic questions, some were about future streams and videos. 

“‘How do you feel about people shipping you and Corpse?’“ People are already shipping us?” You laughed, “I’ve said before that I’m okay with shipping, as long as the other person is too. I think it’s funny.”

You continued to read chat. “Wait, we’re trending?”

You checked Twitter and “#(your and corpse’s ship name)” was trending in the US.

You laughed as you scrolled through the tag, “Oh this is so funny.”

“Fanart already?! You guys are so talented!”

You read chat, looking for more questions. You saw people telling you that it’s 3:30.

“Okay fine, a deal’s a deal. I hope you all have, or had, a great day and I’ll see you guys later. Depending on what time it is for you, you should also get some sleep. Stay hydrated, love you!” You ended stream.

seeing the tears on your face dry up, hyunjin goes next to you and talks to you. “whats wrong lovely?” wiping the tears from your eyes and sitting back up. “my boyfriend broke up with me and now i feel like shit” you slurred, still drunk from the amount of drinks you had.

hyunjin’s drinks come by and orders you more drinks. as you two talked, feeling a bond connecting, you both feel like it was time to go. “wanna go to my place?” hyunjin asked while drunk. nodding your head while hyunjin pulls out the money for the bartender and both of you leave together with you clinging to hyunjin.

right as you walked through hyunjin’s door, you were pushed back to the wall with hyunjin caging you in between his arms. hyunjin’s lips went to your neck, harshly biting your skin. next thing you know, youre under hyunjin and youre not getting over him.

memories flood back into your mind finally. sitting up and just starring at the blankets, hyunjin goes in front of you. “everything okay noona?” facing reality, you closed your eyes and sighed. “hyunjin, did you ever pull out?” you said, opening your eyes, you see hyunjin shaking his head a no.

you gasp in disbelief and hitting you head against the palms of your hands. “hey y/n- noona its okay. lets just do friends with benefits” hyunjin grabs your wrists to stop harming yourself. you look up and smacked hyunjin across the face lightly. “im older than you by a few weeks, dont call me noona” you said and dressed yourself and left his house.

hyunjin is brought back to reality and notices youre gone. running out of bed, he sees your shoes gone but a piece of paper.

‘325-320-0325 call me whenever ;)’

hyunjin smiles and saves your number.

ever since that day, you and hyunjin had been fucking. everyday, every night. til you felt weird. you woke up feeling sick as you got up from your bed. taking hyunjins arm off of you, you ran to the bathroom and threw out everything that made you feel like this.

hyunjin wakes up from his slumber and hears you vomiting. running to your side, he holds your hair up and soothes you for comfort.

“noon- y/n what happened? are you okay?”

“h-hyunjin, i think im pregnant.” you said silently. hyunjin’s face is full of shock. he stands back away as you slowly get back up onto your feet. “a-are you sure that youre just not sick?” he asks.

shaking your head, you look up with tears in your eyes. hyunjin leaves the room and grabs his belongings. hearing the door slam shut, you fell onto your knees and sobbed on the floor.

its been 4 months since hyunjin left you and your belly was now growing. you were looking through photos of you and hyunjin and memorized the feelings you two had on your phone as you were waiting for your name to be called for your second ultrasound. looking down at your belly, you put your hand over it and smiled.

“miss l/n?”

swifting your head to wherever your name was called out, you smiled and stood up to the nurse from your first ultrasound scan. “is it just you again?” she asks. you nod your head and follows your nurse to what room you need to be in.

laying on the bed, she puts on the gel and rubs the machine on your swollen belly. looking at the screen in front of you, you see your precious angel. how much you wish hyunjin was here to see this.

your second ultra sound was another success. you looked at your phone for any messages from hyunjin but there was none.

meanwhile, hyunjin was hesitant on calling you. he wanted to know if you were okay. if you were having fun. if you were healthy. if his kid was healthy. sitting on his bedroom floor, he glances at the pictures he printed out of you two on his walls.

hyunjin screams at himself for being stupid and leaving you alone to bare with the pain.

another 4 months has passed and he still hasnt texted you. you were on the verge on calling him- if he was okay til you felt pain and liquid come out of your coochie. calling your hospital instead of hyunjin, you made your neighbor (who is ur best friend n yall really close) drive you to the hospital.

arriving at the emergency, the nurses put you on a bed due to the amount of pain youre having. you let go of your friends hand and blacked out.

you wake up and see hyunjin holding your hand while tears are streaming down his face. “h-hyunjin?” you call his name weakly. hyunjin looks up and cups your face. “y/n, im so sorry” he whispers and plants a kiss on your forehead. “jinnie, what happened? where our baby” oh how much did he miss hearing you call out his nickname.

“shes right here love”

hyunjin leaves his seat and goes by the bed cart next to you to give you his baby. “its a baby girl?” you asked him with tears spilling out. “yes y/n. she was born a month early but shes still healthy. god y/n, you scared me so much, i thought i was going to lose you”

“i couldnt stop thinking about you. it was stupid for me to walk out on you. it was stupid to leave you all alone, feeling the pain. it was stupid for me to not be there for you when you needed somebody. when the doctors called me, i was so scared that you werent going to wake up. they told me how you passed out when you got here and that they had to do surgery on you because you wouldnt wake up.”

even if hyunjin wasnt done with his story, you couldnt control your tears anymore. hyunjin goes to your side and wipes your tears away. he goes to your lips and attempts to kiss your lips until you heard your baby girl giggle, making you and hyunjin burst out of laughter.

“y/n, please take me back. not as friends with benefits, but as couples. i want to live forever with you and our baby and possibly more children. i want to be there for you and our baby.”

“of course hyunjin” both you and hyunjin smile and leans in for another kiss. hyunjin then kisses your baby. “i do hate how she has most of your features even if i raised her myself” you pouted. “i guess you can say that i have the best sperm” hyunjin winks. playfully slapping hyunjins arm.

So like I'm just saying that at any point Chip could have pushed Gill away, made Gill save Jay before they figured out the puzzle and yet, AND YET, Chip let the kiss happen. AND ITS TOTALLY OFF BRAND FOR CHIP, BECAUSE HE WOULD BE THE PERSON TO PUSH SOMEONE AWAY IF THEY WAS DOING SOMETHING THAT HE DIDNT LIKE OR IF HE DIDNT LIKE THE PERSON AT ALL. Check and mate bitch

okay so i’ll refine this later (ie add sources and such) with my video essay/essay post whatever it ends up being but let me say this now i think the lover’s arc is like the foundation of the bond kakyoin and jotaro had and here is why

jotaro is a character KNOWN for his independence streak araki himself says jotaro is very much a lone wolf kinda character. he hates relying on others he hates not being able to cover all of his own bases he hates being vulnerable and not being in control

but in the lover’s arc, that’s exactly what happens. he isn’t in control and he can’t get back into control using his usual methods (ie attack the stressor until they tap out or die). jotaro has no plan and he’s scared, he is literally shaking in the anime and manga, and he’s so angry because he’s never been in this kind of position before

but then kakyoin takes the lead, kakyoin runs with joseph and eventually polnareff gets up on the uptake and follows, and the last thing kakyoin tells jotaro before turning the corner is just to basically distract steely dan -- make sure he doesnt cause joseph even more pain

and suddenly jotaro is able to swallow the humilation and fear and anger of the situation he’s in. why? because he trusts kakyoin. he trusts kakyoin to care of his grandfather. i could definitely be wrong, but i do not remember another instance in which jotaro trusted a loved one to someone else completely, with him not even being around to supervise in case something goes wrong (except for maybe jolyne’s mom with, well, jolyne, but he does give her the stand arrow piece to use if necessary which might undermine that trust depending on the interpretation). he’s able to relax and stop shaking because he knows joseph is in good hands. capable hands. hands that arent his, but reliable all the same.

and not only that, jotaro trusts kakyoin to save he himself as well. he knows steely dan is going to attack him, especially when the lovers gets kicked out of joseph and he’s free to go fucking ham on steely dan, he knows steely dan will do anything, no matter how slimy, to get out of the situation once it goes south, including and not limited to killing jotaro. but jotaro trusts kakyoin to save him should that happen -- and kakyoin does. hierophant is looped around the lovers the whole time and stops steely dan from stabbing jotaro/hurting the little girl. jotaro’s been saved by other people before/will be saved by other people, but he was just so confident in kakyoin’s ability. he never doubted for a second kakyoin’s ability to not only keep his loved ones safe, but keep he himself safe as well. jotaro, a character trademarked by his independence and aloofness, trusted and relied on kakyoin in this instance and kakyoin delivered. just. do you understand why this is so integral so their relationship and friendship

kakyoin is one of the only people jotaro could trust this way if not the ONLY person he ever trusted this way, and kakyoin, a character who appreciates being seen as useful and reliable, knows this and delivers and it jsut. man i jsut. they cared about each other so much. jotaro was willing to let go and put himself and joseph in kakyoin’s hands, and kakyoin was more than happy to catch him (metaphorically) and make sure that trust was justified. just. do you understnad now. do you understand

anyway lovers arc does more for jotakak than any other arc in the show despite them not even being near each other for the duration of it and it drives me fucking insane you guys
