Endings of Cyberpunk 2077

My V was a netrunner idealist that never admitted in having a morbid curiosity for everything. 

This post will be my impression on the Cyberpunk 2077 endings. Will be a lot of rambling. I love the game, the themes it explores, the world it creates. However the whole experience was not as smooth. Yes, the game has bugs, but these can be patched.

Spoilers ahead.

So the Nomad ending huh. Guess it’s considered the good one. Glad for the people who romanced Panam. Even as a female V player I felt the game was pushing her on me ( One guy in the crowd during Saul's speach comments “Ask, Panam! She knows”. This felt like a tease for lovers?). During the same speech he admits that V is an outsider, but continues to make them an Aldecaldo. This felt off. I went for their help since they have the power to confront Arasaka, but had no agency whether I want to join them and leave. Panam cares for V, and is one of the most optimistic characters regarding V’s fate, which is heartwarming. I see Panam and V as potential BFFs, but my V would never live a nomad life. 

The mission design was to be played by a mercenary type character, guns blazing, tank going pewpew. My V felt out of place being a 20 INT stealth build. I beat the mission, but it did not give me an appropriate tone. River leaves you (this relationship is another topic I’d like to discuss sometime). Takemura calls V a “bitch”.

Panam is forgets what personal space is for some reason.

So I reloaded.

Devil ending. Everyone/most people hate V after this one, which is sad. Buuut, it did give V nice moments with Takemura. I kind of thought that there will be more of that. V will make Takemura understand that Arasaka doesn’t care, fuck up their plans without sacrificing lives. 

But Takemura is a blind loyal dog, and I like this bit. Was a “Oh, this is Night City, after all.” moment. The part where you get uploaded - as a netrunner with huge respect for Alt, V thought that she may play the game in the cyberspace. Who knows, V is a ghost. Property of Arasaka now. 

I did a few more replays then watched a lot of videos regarding all endings. Did not consider letting Johny take over during attack - my V doesn’t trust that guy. Even if he may be not as bad as it seemed at first. Giving him the body and popping off to Cyberspace is a valid option, tho. Requires the Nomad ending, which I don’t like thematically. 

I guess my head canon would be the secret ending? That looks tough to get tho. I’ll have to rest from this game for a bit and see.

Johny, he is a vindictator. His name is Johny because a player failed at writting Johnny. He throws his axe instead of running at you.

Jerry, a baby villager adopted by Johny and Evi after a successful raid. Because of taking him they are no longer allowed on raids.

Evi, an evoker, unlike other evoker's he isn't afraid of letting a laugh slip. Other than that he is a constant b*tchface.

Perry, he is not a platypus(?) nor a secret agent(sort of). He is a pillager that goes on patrols but is not a fan of leading. He is scared of vindictators and uncomfortable around evoker's.

Steve, a enthusiastic stray that collects sticks. The moment he knows your name tho he can be an incredible flirt.

Cale, a creeper. He was thrown out by his kin because he was uninterested in hunting down humans. He has a habit of 'huming' while walking, well, as much as a creeper can properly hum.

Henry, a husk. He is in a relationship with a drowned and can be a real meany. He has a giant library on terrible pick-up lines tho.

Zack, a grown zombie. He is easily woried about tiny things he shouldn't worry about. Like mini falling of his shoulders.

Mini Zack, he is a baby zombie but don't be fooled, he will insult you and disrespect your bloodline. He is not related to Zack.

Lyla, a spider. A sl*ty spider. They don't have a true gender. They travel with Cale a lot and are quite the nuisance. They insist on having Peppin ride their back.

Peppin, a skeleton. Even tho I forgot on this drawing, he wears a small chain with a clover on it around his neck he somehow managed to trade for arows. He does NOT want to ride Lyla's back.

Gasby, a ghast. He isn't the crying type and actually once let Peppin and Darrel(when there was no nether update) ride his back.

Melanie, a female ghast. She is a rather cheery ghast and is Gasby his student. She often comforts Garry and follows Gasby EVERYWHERE.

Garry, also a ghast. He whines like a little b and follows Melanie everywhere. He is almost completely red because of crying all the time. He has no trainer yet but Gasby intends on taking him after Melanie.

Bram, a blaze. Even tho all male blazes look like each other there is a simple difference with him. He is spotless and I mean SPOTLESS. He is rather cold but warms up to you once you know him. He then is a darling.

Bob, another blaze. He is a student of Bram and very untidy. He gets a lot of lectures from Bram about everything but he doesn't really care.

Wilson, MY SWEET BABY. He is a wither skeleton. He is a trainee. He got attacked by Iggy when he was young, it left him his scar. He got placed with one of the high rank wither skeletons because of the attack. Marrin sees him as his child.

Marrin, a wither skeleton. He is rather high ranked because the left head of the wither forced the other 2 to come and oversee his training. No one knows why but it has happened several times. He owns a iron sword and is Wilson's father figure. He had a relationship with Darol once.

Iggy, he is a piglin. He is very rude and distant. He had a relationship with Lorence but it ended... bad. Because of that he has become very distant. He is sorry.

Darol, a zombie pigman. He raised Iggy before the nether update. After that he and the other zombie pigman just... disappeard they are now in a sort of void in between the world and the home of Herobrine. When he was 'alive' tho he used to help people around the nether. Like the lost Peppin when he was a child. He had a relationship with Marrin once.

Lorence, a zombified piglin. He is nicknamed Larry. He is creative and dreamy. He is a friendly boy and would play guitar if he could. He is respected in his tribe for his creativity and gets along with quite some people. He avoids Iggy tho.

Oscar, a guardian. I like imagining they have fins k. He is a high class guardian because they judge on looks rather then strength. He is curious about anything out of the 'castle'. He doesn't get to leave often.

Dave, a wandering drowned. He always has his trident and his lucky shell around his neck. He normally stays away from land. By not doing that once he did meet Henry tho.

Ended Dragon. The ended Dragon is actually genderless and prefers being called they/them. They are very calm and friendly if you treat them right.

Wither, the wither is 3 different people.

Left: He is called William. He is a laid back and friendly one. He is also the one that gets the others in trouble.

Middle: He is Willy. He is the leader of the 3. He always forgets William's name and as a result calls him 'Carl'. He is supposed to keep things under control. This obviously doesn't work.

Right: He is named Edward. He is the worker of the bunch. He rarely talks and is very cold.

Not a lot of people know but the 3 forming the wither can split up. This happens the moment they are alone. They are practically a group of children that need to make a group work but don't get along at all. When it is nether night time they sometimes go to the dorms. When someone is in the hallway they try to have a chat. This is why the day crew rushed to bed and the night crew rushes to work.

Elder guardian: oh he, he is one son of a b. He is good at tricking people. He will always get what he wants and doesn't hesitate to do so, even if he hurts feelings. He has this intense stare that feels like he's looking into your soul.

This took 20% battery and my fingers but it was worth it.

Do you think urban brands will ever be big again? Not necessarily baby phat and Sean John and those type of older brands, but do you think a new urban brand could come out and be popular? I feel like now only big brands are desirable.

We had Cross Colours, Karl Kani, Fubu, Baby Phat, Rocawear, Outkast, Johnny Blaze, P. Miller, Phat Farm, Ruff Ryders, Mecca, Sean John, Wu Wear, G-Unit and all are gone. They come and go fast. Department stores didn’t want these brands in the stores because of the type of people who would buy them. They’re ‘scared’ of the consumers who would come into the stores -Street wear/gang wear/urban wear. We can’t even compete with the white brands. 

There’s a demand for these type of clothes though. They want sweat shirts, hoodies, comfortable velour sweat suits, flashy colors, fun shit. It’s money in it. Russell Simmons then Diddy (Sean John) changed it up though.They were crossing over with sophisticated timeless clothes. Suits & clean cut looks. I think out of all them Sean John could make a comeback. You could wear all his shit today. He won an award for Men’s Wear. First African American to do that. Diddy was serious about his brand. Every rapper tried to come out with a clothing brand and wasn’t taking them seriously. So it made people take the brands less serious as well. 

We  subconsciously classify urban/Black brands differently than brands like Polo, Tommy Hilfiger, Versace, Louis Vuitton, etc. Most Black people don’t wanna buy clothes from other Black people. It’s too accessible. Buying shit from white people (white brands) represents ‘success’ and what you ‘aspire’ to be. We’re not loyal to each other. Black brands represent where you are now.

When you even think of how they tried to shut Dapper Dan (who is a creative genius) down, it tells you a lot as well. What I will say is I’m shocked people are still so into Air Jordans. Niggas are still robbing and shooting folks over Jordans. I personally don't see the hype.

A look inside Apple’s silicon playbook

This week Apple introduced a set of new MacBook Pro laptops. During the prerecorded launch event, Apple’s engineers and executives made it clear that the MVPs in these new products are the chips that power them: the M1 Pro and M1 Max chips. With 34 billion and 57 billion transistors, respectively, they are the engines powering the new Mac devices' super hi-res displays, providing blazing speed, and extending battery life. The laptops represent the apotheosis of a 14-year strategy that has transformed the company—literally under the hood of its products—in a massive effort to design and build its own chips. Apple is now methodically replacing microprocessors it buys from vendors like Intel and Samsung with its own, which are optimized for the needs of Apple users. The effort has been stunningly successful. Apple was once a company defined by design. Design is still critical at Apple, but I now consider it a silicon company.A couple days after the keynote, I had a rare on-the-record conversation about Apple silicon with senior worldwide marketing VP Greg Joswiak (aka “Joz”), senior hardware engineering VP John Ternus, and senior hardware technology VP Johny Srouji. I had been asking Apple to put me in touch with Srouji for years. His title only hints at his status as the chip czar at Apple. Though he’s begun to appear on camera at recent Apple events, he generally avoids the spotlight. An Israeli-born engineer who previously worked at Intel and IBM, Srouji joined Apple in 2008, specifically to fulfill a mandate from Steve Jobs, who felt that the chips in the original iPhone couldn’t meet his demands. Srouji’s mission was to lead Apple in making its own silicon. The effort has been so well executed that I believe Srouji is secretly succeeding Jony Ive as the pivotal creative wizard whipping up the secret sauce in Apple’s offerings.
