okay first things first

so put these two things together and what do you get?

you get clown rainy of course!!! look at him go!!!

I should probably explain what's going on, so i will! I had made clown rainy... and then sort of made an au centered around that idea, not that i really think of it as any proper au, since it's mostly for oc's and such! with that out of the way i will explain his acts! yippee!

he is a dreamer! a wanderer of the stars, if you will! He does tightrope and trapeze! At least, that's what i think fits him best!

his stage name is the Sleepwalker! very sleepy, very tired, you get the gist! they call him that because he's often mistaken for having his eyes closed on the tightrope, so they think he's "sleepwalking"!

his solo shows are mostly calmer segments, im not sure how to describe it really. usually he has a microphone attached to him, so he may talk to the audience! however, he's usually talking to himself really, but thats what they come for!

Rainy's ramblings are sort of hopeless romantic, but some of the things he says can be comedic as well, it depends really...

his shows are supposed to leave you sighing, if that makes sense! my favorite quote of his is this;

"I hope you don't make fun of me, but i've always wanted to dance amongst the stars... haha, do you think i would be good at it? Oh, if i had a partner with me we could dance on the rings of Saturn, that would so lovely, wouldn't it? ...Oh well, i suppose it's alright, i don't mind dancing alone, the stars are always a witness..."

on another note, he's a duo with Maverick! (because of course he is!)

they are very silly together, a couple of clowns... a clown couple... clowns...

they do various bits together!

though, admittedly, Rainy's favorite bit to do with maverick is to gently smack him in the face, he thinks its hilarious

(also! note! yes, i know, rainy's design did quite change a bit, but just know the colored reference is the one i'm going with! as much as i love a good clown, they never cease to make it difficult to draw...)

Have you made any new aus you want to talk about?

I'm never immune to actor aus for some reason I cannot explain for the life of me. But this is where I am, and I am in a death grip. The Owl House but it's live action acting and the actors have the weirdest connections to other people. Because this is MY silly little au and I make the rules here

Luz has mostly done theater and a small handful of musicals, but she has two film roles where she was a background/minor character. Bit of a jump to go from that to main character, but, hey, the original budget is pretty cheap. Most of the funding went into the magic. She's just happy to be here. May or may not have gotten a genuine crush on the girl she was already pre-scrpited to date.

Eda is where the rest of the funding went. Expensive ass actress quite well-known in the industry, has been acting since she was a little younger than Luz, most known for her roles of chaotic characters. She liked this role, but was mostly just here for the paycheck. Luz didn't have to act very hard to look excited with Eda during shooting, she was thrilled. Eda wound up enjoying her role a lot more than expected.

King is Eda's actual adopted kid, though he's roughly about ten, not eight or nine, and Eda found him at about ate 2-3 just. Roaming around some dumpsters. Technically speaking he doesn't legally exist, but that ain't about to stop her. He wasn't supposed to be on set, but while discussing people to voice act the puppet blended with animation that King is on the show, Eda jokingly asked her kid if he was interested, and turns out he was. He gets along well with Luz and the other younger kid actors.

Belos is acted by a guy just named Philip, who is also very well-known, and is the kind of actor all of your parents/grandparents seem to know, but you've barely heard of, or don't think twice about. He's usually been cast as one of those snooty, uptight academic characters, going from The Handsome Teacher(tm) to The Grouchy Guy(tm) from his earlier years to his current ones. He's used to dealing with teenage actors, but he likes to pretend he isn't. The kind of guy who can almost never get through the first take of pretty much any scene with Hunter without breaking character like "I can't--I'm sorry, we can do that again--are you okay? Are you sure--"

Hunter himself is the adopted older brother of Luz, and has been acting for far less time, since about 13. He's gotten a few school theater plays beforehand, plus a minor one in a short film, but that was about it until then. He skyrocketed VERY quickly because of his ability to act emotional scenes alarmingly well. All of his breakdowns on the show were difficult to get through because there was almost always a moment where someone on set was genuinely concerned something went wrong in the middle of the scene. This is partly why Philip breaks character more often than normal

Look I know it’s probably just a retcon or continuity error and it’s a very small scene so who should even care (me, I do) but in season 1 when the kiddies are picking hero’s names there is the oh so famous flashback to Mic giving Aizawa his hero name and in that flashback (which I Presume happened their first year) Aizawa seems extremely confident in what kind of hero he wants to be. He even says I’m going to be an underground hero so it doesn’t matter. Which is in complete contrast to second year Aizawa who is just kind of listless and unsure of himself and what he wants yo be. An Aizawa that depended on his best friends to give him confidence. Where did that confident Aizawa go? The Aizawa that was just a miniature of the Ine we have now. And on some level I know the change is just because it’s a more compelling story to travel back in time to see are steadfast unshakable mentor figure as an unsure and insecure teen. But for a minute let’s pretend it’s not a poorly thought out retcon/continuity error it leaves us with the question of what could have possibly shaken little first year Aizawa so greatly that he’s lost all confidence in himself by his second year?

Blood trigger warning!

Rowan hissed. Somehow she had managed to slice open her hand on a rock climbing the Ronkan Ruins. She was starting to bleed, blood spreading crimson over her blue skin.

This is not the time... she took a deep breath and tried to focus her aether. She figured that with her heart pumping from the hike, it would be similar enough to a battle high but...

She felt the hairs on the back of her neck raise and she turned to see Emet-Selch amble towards her. Great.

"Having trouble channeling your aether, hero?" he drawled.

"I just need practice..." Rowan dug in her pack one-handed to find some gauze so blood wouldn't get on everything.

"You need proper practice. Practice makes permanent not..." Emet-Selch trailed off when drops of blood ran down the back of her hand. "My word, you'll have to get stitches if you don't fix that quickly."

"I realize that. Your taunting is not helping the situation." She placed the gauze over her cut, then her focus on top of that to weigh it down while she gathered herself. Or mayhap it is...

She latched onto her frustration pulsing in her veins and her focus started to float. With a bit of a hum, she redirected her aether from her core to seal up the cut. After two pulses of light, she removed the gauze from her hand. Despite how red the dressing was, her hand looked good as new and moved just as well.

"Double cast, how quaint." Emet-Selch approached to view her work.

Rowan drew back. "I never claimed to rival a Sorcerer of Eld in the aetherial arts. But a healed hand is a healed hand." She held out her palm to give him a visual.

"So very like you to use the precise amount of aether to accomplish a task and not a drop more." He tilted his head to get a better look. "No marks, nary a thread of cotton embedded in the healed wound... congratulations, you accomplished the bare minimum for a competent healing job."

"Are you expecting me to thank you for your back handed compliments?" she asked as she wiped the dried blood off of her hands, "Because your condescension is about as thick as your aether."

He stood up straighter, though not entirely to full height and chuckled. "Ah, you recognize the aetherial density of others. You have potential in you yet."

"Em-hm." Rowan replaced her pack onto her back and recalculated her climb up the mountain. "That's no mean skill, hero. That you can recognize other's aether without having to channel it in your primitive day and age is actually quite remarkable."

"Sure it is," she said tersely, finding her way through the moss covered stone temple. "Or mayhap yours could be so vile that any aether stunted idiot could sense it."

"You truly think me as vile?" There was amusement in his tone.

"Aye. I'm only tolerating your presence now because I know we are in way over our heads on this task and I won't stand to lose this Shard."

"Oh, surely you can get over our inconsequential differences and we can work together peaceably."

She stopped and turned to him. He looked as though he was trying to be sincere about it, the bastard. "I don't know what counts as consequential to you, Ascian, but denying me my birth family is fairly consequential to me."

Rowan marched ahead, not waiting to see what sort of expression Emet-Selch had on his face from that.
