Awful Characters Round 1 Part 1 (6/8)

DIO BRANDO

why i like him: he’s evil, he’s funny, he’s a vampire, he’s a dick for no reason, he’s British, he’s bisexual, he stops time, and everything bad that happens in the series is his fault why he deserves to be in: LITERALLY kicks puppies, that’s his THING. Ruins adoptive brother’s life just because he’s Mean and Evil. Kills people. Kills animals. Does weird horrible things to people for literally no reason. Turns people into zombies. Kisses women without their consent. Brainwashes people. Seduces lovers and sucks their blood while a weird old lady watches in the corner. Ruins generations of lives even after his ass is dead. can you be cancelled by twitter users: yes absolutely

BELIAL

Belial is the primal beast/angel of cunning, and one of the main antagonist of the side story "What makes the sky blue". He's the very first primal in existence and had a profound romantic and sexual devotion for his creator, Lucilius. So profound that he commited all sort of crimes to get Lucilius's love and approval, and only got worse in worse when Lucilius only showed distate for him. Mind you those were crimes Lucilius wanted him to do, but Belial was just never enough compared to the second primal beast, Lucifer, the angel overseeing Evolution. List of crimes includes: -Provoked like 3 attempted apocalypses -Organized a group of rebel fallen angels in order to make them Lucilius's experiments subjects later, torturing all of them for thousand of years. -When Lucilius was beheaded by Lucifer, Belial vowed to bring Lucilius back to life…. By organizing Lucifer's murder and beheading him in order to use Lucifer's corpse to sew Lucilius's head on it -Also managed to blame Lucifer's boyfriend for Lucifer's death because "well it's your fault he died since he was trying to protect you so he wasn't fighting at his full strength :/" -He is also extremely sexual and is constantly talking about wanting to orgasm on the spot, or engage in sexual intercourses with anyone he encounters -Also the type of person who kills his one night stands after he's done with them. -Calls torturing people for fun just himself indulging in his SM side. -He's spoken a lot about his goal to Fuck Lucifer's Corpse, in front of Lucifer's boyfriend. -Also is constantly doing sexual remarks to said boyfriend. -He's torn the wings of the one person who was still loyal to him (technically to save his life but he lied that he was doing it just to torture him) -Also he lies all the time and backstabbed everyone we ever see him make plans with -Guilttripped the protagonist by faking his suicide -Helped the protagonist at the last hour during their fight against Lucilius in order to be locked into an interdimensional prison for all of eternity with the man who hates his guts, out of love for him, while the guy couldn't think of a worst way to spend eternity. -But by helping us i mean "gave us a ship, and then we learnt that he left a bomb on that ship, nearly killing us" -Has been appearing in MC's dreams regularly to manipulate them into embracing a magic that will make MC his puppet -Managed to mind control MC for long enough to have MC try to kill their soulmate. -In the spin off fighting game he mind controlled a lot of people in the same way to make them his puppets and force them to try to kill their loved ones. -He's described in the game as "Just, The Worst". -Has this for theme song and we're supposed to think it's normal: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d2MHUJTciRg Personally i like him a lot because there's Layers to his depravity, mainly also that the horny feels a lot like an act some of the time, and that he's ultimately a man with intense inferiority complex and self destructive because he wants the love of his uncaring creator at all cost.

He's fairly popular in the fanbase but i've somewhat also seen a LOT of takes about how you're a bad person if you stan him. Mainly i've once seen a call out post saying all fans of Granblue Fantasy are bad because "Belial is a pedophile" quickly followed by "but i never played granblue". Like. The dude's a canon necrophile why did you need to add a crime he didn't commit on the list. (pretty sure it was on the list since he's an immortal guy who's two thousands years old who flirts with mortal people so there is Always An Age Gap but didn't he commit worse than that by now.) I've also seen some people hate him for how clingy he is to Lucilius and how he's earned all the abuse he recieves from his creator, but i don't know if those groups sweeped as low as to call his fans bad for it lmao. Oh right and once he was trending on Twitter and a lot of catholic people started to cause an outrage because "how could the youth worship the demon Belial by making him an anime boy, you're all going to hell", it was fun! There's a lot more problematic characters in the franchise that would honestly fit more to this prompt, but Belial is the only one who's popular enough to have people, even outside of the Granblue fanbase, make judgement on people who like him because he's Terrible.

theme park adventures (jojo’s x GN!reader)

Synopsis: the JoJos take you to the theme park. Warnings: nothing? I'm not sure but your typical theme park stuff<3

Jonathan: • Buys you anything you look at, toys, games, ride tickets, food, if you want it, it's yours. • Wins almost every carnival game, he's just bad at the darts. • Will cheer you on while you try to win a big stuffed animal. • If you win the toy you want he's so proud of you and will bring you to another game stand, wanting to see you win more. •If you don't, this man will immediately ask to play again, encouraging you to try again, if you don't want to, he'll win the toy for you to see the look on your face<3. • He isn't a big fan of the intense rides but will suck it up if you ask him nice enough to go on the big rollercoasters.

"Please, dear, don't be sad. I have plenty more tickets if you want to try again! No? Just wait here, I'll get you the teddy bear."

"Well, I'm not a fan of rides...but who can deny such a cute face?"

Joseph: • LOVES the rides. This man will drag you on every twister, coaster, and merry-go-round he sees. • Hates the games. The minute he can't win a game he thinks it's rigged. Almost cries when you win the game immediately after. • Still, if you want a plush from a game you can't win he will spend every penny to get it for you. • Complains about the lines non-stop then takes forever to order food. • Will not hesitate to body slam anyone who looks at you, especially if you're wearing a more revealing outfit. If someone catcalls you? They're receiving a HAMON punch to the face. • Be prepared with a good pair of shoes, you two are going to be there until it closes.

"Come on! The line for the dropper is super short right now! We gotta get there before other people get there first."

"Oh my god, these games are rigged! There's no way anyone can win."

Jotaro: • Isn't a fan of these types of things but deals with it if it makes you happy. • Is scary good at the games...every. single. one. There is nothing this man cannot do. • If you lose a game and are sad about it, he will randomly come up to you and give you the toy you wanted when you least expect it. • Hates being in the crowd, will be one of those clingy boyfriends you see in the lines. The whole hugs you/holds you from the back to the point where you have to walk with him attached to you. •Carries your things even if you didn't ask. He notices your arms are getting tired and lord knows that man could carry fifty-pound weights for hours, your bags are nothing to him. • Will buy some popcorn so the two of you can watch fireworks at the end of the night.

"Good grief, here's that stupid teddy you tried to win."

"Hey, fireworks are soon so I grabbed some food, let's go find a spot."

Josuke: • Opposite to his nephew, this man lives for fun, rowdy hangouts. • He dislikes going on fast rides only because they mess up his hair. Nothing will get him to go on those zero-gravity rides from the way they flatten his hairdo. • LOVES taking photos. Will give you endless compliments while you pose for a picture. • He's so sweet this man will share a cotton candy cloud while he has stars in his eyes as he watched them make it. • You two will get lost in the endless colours. He is awful at navigating a map but doesn't want you to know so he tries super hard not to get lost. Plot twist: you guys have been going in circles but he looks too confident for you to tell him. • Definitely tells his mom and friends all about how cute you were and how much he loved taking you to the park<3

"You look amazing! Raise your left arm a little more- perfect!"

"They were so cute when they won the game! I wish I took a photo of them."

Giorno: • He is very busy being an Italian mafia boss but will spend every minute doing whatever you want on his off days. • He will give you the sweetest smile when you point out stuff you see, whether it's a really big ride or a man balancing on stilts, he wants to see you happy more than anything. • Please win something cute and give it to him. He will literally put it in his super security work safe so nothing happens to it or will keep it on his bed to cuddle when you aren't there. • Although it's tough to go out and not be recognized, he will rent the entire park for you if it's going to be a problem. If not, he might have a few people from his squad on the lookout. • Will hold your hand or let you hold his arm the entire time. This man will frown if you let go, he's a little clingy and doesn't want to lose you. • You two will mostly just walk around looking at the attractions, maybe playing a few games and going on smaller rides but just spending time together and talking for the most part.

"Please, lead the way. I am glad to be spending the day with you."

"Don't leave my side, cara. I'm worried you might get lost."

Jolyne: • My girl loves rides her goal is to ride as many as she can. No matter how extreme they look. • Will laugh at you when you lose a game, then she would lose it herself after claiming it was easy. (It wasn't) • She gives you the biggest smile from beside you as the ride harnesses get clipped in. The smile never leaves as she goes along the coaster, gripping your hand and laughing loudly. • You two will stumble around, dizzy from the spinning, zero-gravity ride while getting weird looks. • She loves junk food and carnival-type drinks. You two will go from food stand to food stand trying everything in sight. • At the end of the night you and her are snuggled up against each other, sharing fries and a cup of soda while stargazing. The subtle noise from the park far away offering as white noise.

"Babe look! They have the zipper here! Hurry before the lines get long!"

"Isn't that the Big Dipper? No? Oh...well where is it then if you're so smart?"

Note(s): Ooh this is an interesting concept. Still upset that DIO didn't have enough super amazing vampire/joestar blood to heal Kakyoin too, but whatever Araki. (Joseph got his arm and leg cut off, Speedwagon Foundation can fix a hole in someone's stomach. It's anime).

Kakyoin Surviving

Silver Chariot shot his sword out at the clock in his final moments so Joseph could figure out the secret to The World.

The issue is I can see Kakyoin sticking by Jotaro's side instead of hiding for a surprise attack like Polnareff did (although I guess Kakyoin would do both). It's very close and he almost does die but Jotaro saves him.

I like the idea of Kakyoin still getting pretty messed up with DIO's fight. The idea of him still becoming a donut but living through it this time is nice. Has those scars and Speedwagon Foundation robotics to save his internal organs.

Does his best to attend a funeral for Polnareff, wishing that he can find peace with his sister now.

Kakyoin going to Morioh with Joseph, offering to take care of the old man on the trip since he's still feeling phantom pain and loads of PTSD from the Egypt trip. Jotaro has his thing of blocking out emotions but Kakyoin had gotten in tune with his too much so he thinks it's just best to come later with Joseph instead of going when Jotaro does (also Kakyoin doesn't want to intrude on Joestar/Kujo/Higashikata family matters with the whole Josuke situation).

Another one that loves Koichi, so much bonding over manga. Kakyoin getting excited about Rohan being near too (much to Josuke and Jotaro's chagrin).

Kakyoin talking to Jotaro about the arrows and ends up going to Italy in search of what's going on, essentially taking Polnareff's place in Part 5 (although I'm still salty Polnareff was stuck in the damn turtle and hate that fate for Kakyoin too).

I wonder if Kakyoin would have a family and kids by this point though. If he would allow someone else to see him vulnerable enough for that relationship. I like to imagine that if he did then of course his kids will be friends with Jotaro's. Absolutely would want any son of his to date Jolyne, much to Jotaro's chagrin (Jotaro trusts Kakyoin, but he's still a dad and doesn't want to think of his daughter dating/marrying anyone too soon). Of course, if his son ends up being gay then he's very proud and will be judging his son's taste in men accordingly.

And do you have any CONFRONT Characters? Those ones where you would fight them yourself if you could? (or at least really enjoy seeing or thinking about them finally getting some comeuppance?)

genuinely. Tiziano from jojo's bizzarre adventure part 5. The character in canon is just a minor villain who doesn't get any development but i have to fill in all the blanks with my own headcanons (i really need to finish that fic WIP) BUT the most known trait about em is that Tiziano and Squalo are in love, powercouple out to do murder type of thing. Like, it's difficult to find people who disagree with Squatizi (their ship name), and whenever some clown inevitably comes along with a claim that theyre totally striaght you guys do it's like "HISTORIANS WILL SAY THEY WERE ~VERY GOOD FREINDS~ WINK WINK NUDGE NUDGE" And I just like the 'fandom stability' of them, i guess you could call it? Like, I've more recently gotten into a different ship called robovenom (characters Robo-ky and Venom), but the thing is that people who think venom is hot will ship him with people besides robo-ky and its like. obviously its not a problem, ship what you want. but there's a subtle annoyance to that, that I dont get with squatizi. I open the squalo tag and there's tiziano. I open the tiziano tag and there's squalo. I open the robo-ky tag and there's venom. I open the venom tag and it's the venom from spiderman. I open the venom guilty gear tag and WHY ARE YOU SHIPPING HIM WITH ZATO LITERALLY THE POINT OF HIS ARC IS TO LEAVE HIS ABUSER WHY ARE YOU ROMANTICIZING THE LOWEST POINT IN HIS LIFE-

uhh the first half kinda got away from me so. briefly. Not a big fan of Cioccolata and Secco from Jojo's pt 5, they were designed to the the stinkiest most evil mfrs to ever live and araki was very successful in making me hate them and then gutpunching me with Cio's last phonecall.

Also not a big fan of Zato but there's more nuance there. Shoutout to night of knives audio drama and to that guy on twitter who did the new translation that is being hosted on the gg wiki; I have never been more uncomfortable and forlorn while listening to two people literally just talking, every time i read through it i feel like i swallowed multiple rocks.

Also not a big fan of Shun Kazami from the legacy bakugan series. This is literally just personal beef from ~2009. I don't like how Shun was introduced in s2 and i did not have the context of s1 to show me why I should care. I now have the context of s1, but I still think his introduction in s2 was done poorly it's just bad writing okay

Jjba Diamond Is Unbreakable Ep 18-29 Thoughts

Ep 18-19

I feel like this arc would have worked just fine if it was a single episode. I think it drags a bit too long.

Our new character for this arc is Shigechi. I think his design and stand is way too good and it's a shame he is only in a few episodes before he dies. Characterwise he needs work, the show tries too hard to make you feel bad for him in the end. But that's because he only has like 2 episodes to build his character. I can't help but like him though. He is a prick but in his defense he is like 12.

Design wise they are both simple and unique (in Jojo). Which is a hard combination to find in jojo I think. Plus they are really goofy, especially Harvest. Onto the episodes:

It's funny that Josuke has a stronger reaction to having no cash on hand compared to Red Hot Chili Pepper almost killing Okuyasu. If I had Crazy Diamond my whole life I would be the same way too probably but It's still funny to think about.

Okuyasu is quickly becoming my favorite character. His expressions, his voice all come together to create an absolute goofball.

I will never forget jojo fans for what you guys did to Kakyoin. He says one awkward line and the jojo fans won't shut the fuck up about it for years yet Okuyasu -who called someone's mom hot when he first saw them on multiple occasions- flies under the radar somehow. I am thankful for it, I wouldn't want Okuyasu to get the same treatment too.

Speaking of him, I've been looking thru sdc stuff and wow do people want him in part 4. Making "What if they were alive?" AUs are a common thing obviously but I've never seen it be this huge. Sometimes I'll see part 4 posts where Kak (Sometimes Avdol and Pol too) will be in it without acknowlegding that they are dead (missing in Pol's case). They are just there.

I do get why, Morioh is brimming with stand users and most of them aren't trying to kill people Kak's whole thing is that he is lonely because he can't find other stand users like him. Also I've read CDDH and apparently he is from Morioh. I think we don't need another crusader when Jotaro is part of the main cast already but the thought of Kak with heart shaped sunglasses is not lost on me.

Do they don't know they can jump high with their stands? Maybe it's something you have to learn.

Ep 20

Wow...... I wonder what the message of this episode is.

It's generic and subtle as a brick to the face but for someone like Araki? who only stumbles onto themes on accident? This is huge.

It makes a lot more sense for Yukako to be still be with Koichi, instead of, "Just being able to like him is enough for me" act she had going on.

Our stand user for this arc is Aya. She speaks like she has low blood pressure and she like invading people's personal spaces.

I laughed out loud when I first saw her stand. Those are not boobas those are kikis. I do like her stand. It might just be my bias towards pink.

He brings Koichi with him everywhere because he is the only person that can tolarate him. He is just some guy. Josuke is suppose to be the type of character you wanna be friends with but everyone loves Koichi cuz he is just a guy. The funniest thing is that is the exact reason Yukako gives as to why she likes him. He is like the token cishet of JoJo.

Honestly? I like Yukako. I wasn't really expecting it cuz I hate yandere/tsundere or whatever type characters but she is entertaining just because of how off of her rockers she is.

My favourite part of the episode is when Koichi tells Josuke and Okuyasu he and Yukako kissed and Josuke almost falls from the window from shock while Okuyasu looks like he has died.

And then Josuke goes "What did you say she did to you?!? That girl never learns" because of course he would think she forced him to do that, considering her track record and all.

Josuke's reaction after hearing Koichi say he likes her to says everything. Like girl what.

I love how Josuke is just casually talking all the while Okuyasu is crying in his arms. Later Josuke still has one hand on his shoulder while Okuyasu cries but he is also completely ignoring him. Love that for them.

It's so wild that Koichi tells Aya to fucking *blind him* just so Yukako won't feel bad. Both of these people are insane and they deserve each other.

Nice attention to detail that he asks Aya to blind *his stand* since he can see through his stand's eyes otherwise.

Ep 21

While I was watching this part i was like there is no way he is gonna li- ohh noo

One thing I really like about Kira is that we will sometimes see what he is up to from his perspective. It's partially here but really shows up in the Stray Cat arc. He is not the type of guy to be plotting or thinking about the heroes all the time so it's just Kira's adventures. His silly adventure. And he is being incredibly pathetic about it with the most smug expressionsyou've ever seen.

Plus it's fun seeing the heroes from an outside perspective for the entire episode.

They say your stand reflects your soul. I have no idea what a wrestler cat with a thousand yard stare is suppose to say about Kira.

Killer Queen is the best stand btw. I will not debate on this. Just look at her. Kira doesn't deserve her, she is way too good of a stand for a guy whose whole thing is wanting a quiet life (besides the murders) (ignore the murders).

Ep 22

Araki reeeally wants to make you feel sorry for Shigechi. How am I suppose to believe people will just ignore a fellow student on the verge of death just because he is ugly. If it was some strangers down the road then yeah sure but this just looks stupid.

Shigechi going to heaven in the exact same state he was in when he died. Crusaders also get stuck in the same expression when they get their souls ripped out of their body. I'm not sure if this was intentional or not.

"I doubt he'll come to my shop but I'll keep an eye out." Girl you have NO idea

Seeing Koichi next to Jotaro you'd think he is around 90cm or so but apparently he is suppose to be 157cm. I was looking at the Jojowiki and noticed that earlier. The canon weights for the characters make zero sense btw.

Koichi:"Rohan always forces me to go to places" Andkasjskdshsjs??

Ep 23-24

What the fuck happened here.

Sheer heart attack is like the world's most evil roomba. If I was kire I would simply tape knives on that thang and set it loose inside my house.

I hate Koichi's shieking so much it's unreal.

I think the remote control stands are a really cool concept. Kira functionally having two stands though? Ehhhh... I not a fan of that to be honest. Sheer Heart Attack is basically it's own stand, sure, it's gimmicky but it's also really strong if you don't know how it works. I understand why Araki would want to break the rules for Killer Queen, It's hard to make her look like a threat compared to Star Platinum or Crazy Diamond.

Sheer Heart Attack bring completely neutralized by such a simple trick is why I love stands so much. Hamon is like if everyone had Mew but with different levels and moves. Stands are more like "everyone has different Pokemon but they are all at the same level". Some are obviously stronger than others but even the strongest ones have some sort of trick or Pokemon that counters them, or at least checks them.

I think Act 3 is less interesting compared to act 2 design and ability wise.

You know, I thought Kira's theme was too goofy for me to take seriously at first but it did hit pretty hard here.

I did say I don't like Koichi's VA very much but his confontation with Kira was pretty good.

Fucking christ.

Can we take a moment to appreciate how good the English dub is. Especially Kira (and Jotaro but I already talked about him during part 3).

Ep 25

The way they handled Kira's new identity is genuinely cool. As mentioned in this episode, Kira doesn't have anyone he is even remotely close to. Not having any dynamics with other people could definitely work for a character but it could also make them boring.

Kira now has to deal with Shinobu who is in a full marridge feeling love for the first time when Kira replaces her husband, and Hayato who is definitely knows something is up because he has never seen his parents have a positive interaction before, ever.

This is before Araki had the most horrible case of same face syndrome so Kira's new face does look slightly different. I like that his pitch black eyes get a pink glow whenever he summons Killer Queen.

I don't have much to say on this and the next few episodes. The Hand doesn't get a change to do anything, again, god forbid.

Ep 26

Rohan jumping in front of the bus Jesus style was pretty funny and I liked Rohan and Joseph's interactions. I also like Shizuka otherwise this episode sucks I don't wanna talk about it more

Ep 27

This episode and the one after it straight up confirm aliens are a thing and knowing Araki, I doubt this will come up again ever.

Mikitaka is actually just like me for real because I too lose my shit whenever I have to hear sirens and alarms (Misophonia)

I think he is a bit too generic, I also don't like how mamy symbols he has on his outfit. Also someone buy him brown contacts.

It's really funny that the first thing he does with an alien friend who can shapeshift is: take Rohan's money in a bet and piss him off.

Ep 28-29

Love that the op starts right after Rohan stabs himself.

He knows that Josuke wouldn't leave without healing him. Also because he is insane and willing the hurt himself and let his house burn down just to know how Josuke cheated.

I like the interactions between the two of them a lot. Josuke annoys him sure, but Rohan is a petty and stubborn asshole who gets upset just at the though of Josuke being happy. He is mad at Josuke for beating him up even though he knows Josuke beats the shit out of people who insult his hair. There is no way that isn't written in Koichi's files. He is just upset that he is experiencing the consequences of his actions. He is beefing with a 15 year old.

The action for this arc is pretty good.

I normally don't mention this because they tend to be brief but the sniffing and the walking noises Highway Star makes annoys me to no end. I am really bad with this stuff.

I especially like the addition of Koichi. He can be a piece of shit sometimes, like in the lock guy episode. I find that pretty funny personally.

It's been a while. I was on vacation for 2 weeks so I didn't have much time to write this.

I don't think I am going to do these posts for part 5 because I will not be able to finish the show otherwise. I don't watch new episodes before I write these (except for maybe a few) since I prefer it that way. I still might do something similar for part 6. We'll see. The issue is I wanna write all my thoughts but I am not good at being coherent.

My silly hcs on phantom blood au 😮‍💨

Phantom Blood seems to fit in my top 3 fav parts since it has young Dio haha. That's the reason I'm so inspired to create smth in that timeline...

♡ So the relationships between Dio and Jonathan are kinda obvious in canon, but I'd like to see more of their interactions at the younger age when Dio's personality hasn't fully formed yet, so he'd probably be able to hesitate about his *evil* actions towards Jojo. Yeah, in canon he's been treating Jonathan badly from the very beginning, hasn't even hiding it, but according to his immaturity he could feel conflicted sometimes? Maybe thoughts like : "and what if I just leave this plan of destroying Joestars' lives and try to adapt to this new "better" family which surely gives me opportunities to reach high places or gain authority in the future???" Although then I'm missing Dio's maximalism.

If only who could have some thoughts of embracing new reality and Jojo as the brother? Jojo is the best option to u know.. comfort ppl? Literally, there are all conditions to make a gentle human being out of Dio, huh.

Also I just want to write more double-meaning situations between these two. When from Dio's side it's not obvious wether he's a pure evil creature (from his early teens) or he's just so traumatized that he acts violent unintentionally and is silent about seeking some help (because of pride or fear or stuff) from the outer world (aka Joestars family). And Jonathan who doesn't want to believe that Dio sincerely hates him but can't justify his actions and also hesitant to explicitly explain his step bro's behavior. So it works like a psychological horror because everything is unclear and weird

♡ The figure like a true-ally for Dio. We've seen Pucci as this type of faithful follower, in Diego's case it was Hot Pants, although she's more independent, but still. And Part 1 Dio had some... weird minions lol. So another Italian catholic person would fit in perfectly, tho it's better to make a reasonable circumstance why these two will work well together. At first I thought about Hot Pants alter-ego, still the reason behind this thing is meh. Love? Certainly big no, it's meaningless for both of them. A common aim? Well Dio's was to become the richest man in the entire world, destroy the Joestars, then denial of his own humanity. And hers, who's a religious person? What would that possibly be what also crosses Dio's interests? Idk. Maybe another pov on religion or Christianity itself and fanatism of Dio? Supporting him at this rate? Boring. I'll fuck this shit up immediately.

♡ Demons. Yes we have vampires there, yes some magic things like stands, hamon, saint corpse, those freaking arrows, the mask... Demons isn't something which isn't suitable 🤧.

So Dio's ancestors were dealing with demons, kings of Hell. And maybe Dario owes something to a greedy demon even after his death, so the debt goes to the son. I want to use the image of King Paimon (because I love Hereditary lol). And Dio learns some weird stuff from this demon before becoming a vampire, so this creature becomes his new ideal, since he didn't have any role models. Tho, Dario aka anti-role model. And here's this demonic great king of Hell huh. So they'll have some sort of contract, after their interactions Dio has ambitions of becoming as great as this demon. And also reject the humanity because of demon's influence. Also King Paimon will tell him about his own origins aka Heaven and this funny story how Lucifer and Paimon and other rebellions were banished from there. And THIS will be the motivation for Dio to think about reaching heaven himself, since you need to have almost a God power to reach it, although even the strongest creatures like Lucifer and Paimon (aka former high class angels) couldn't fight for it for a long time huh and were defeated by God's army.

♡ About King Paimon. Originally I wanted him to be a spiritual demon who chooses the body to reincarnate in Hot Pant's alter ego in Phantom Blood universe. And in this case it'll be her ancestors who were dealing with demons to become rich etc etc, so the girl tried to wash away her sins by praying to God, BUT it didn't help huh🧐. So King Paimon found her and made her his vessel. However he didn't like the body as it was female and the demon prefers to be in male one (stolen from Hereditary I don't even hide it.) So HP would be partially (?) possessed and somehow Paimon choose Dio as his male vessel — tho I didn't make up why Dio and how. If Paimon sees "evil origins" of Dio's soul it's too naive, huh. And then, since Paimon chose Dio's male body he'd like to stay with HE'S female head since he likes her feminine face. It's from description of Paimon – "he's a man woth effeminate face". That's funny and cooperates woth canon story where Dio's body was destroyed by Jonathan, so there was only his head. As the result, it turns out that Paimon is kinda faceless, because he prefers human's appearance.

But idk why I felt conflicted about it. So I manged to make him a proper look as a demon, his true appearance. Guess he'll be a tall young-looking man with greyish skintone, but he'd look more like middle eastern person and would wear some south eastern clothes. The main colours are black and golden, his eyes would be completely white and shining in his demon form – in human they'd be jet black to make his gaze soulless. Also dark lips and eerie smile. Most of the time he'd be calm. I'd like to imagine him and his dromedary are wearing crowns. Armenian ones are just perfect! Paimon would have dark long hair which are covered with his headdress. I don't want to show his hair much, it's like I want to define his face with headdressing and loose scarf around his neck. Also he'd wear a lot of golden eastern jewelry, the ones which look like coins on chains arounf the forehead. Also earrings and rings.

WELL. obvs her inspiration is Cerberus. First thing was her sense of loyalty and duty, that of a guard with a task that takes all eternity to fulfill.

She was a sorta foil for Idia, specially with her starting at Ignihyde but holding traditional values. Pretty sure from the start I wanted to play around Vero being neither fully Cerberus (loyal dog with a lord) or Persephone (Idia's sweetheart bound by fate). I like them best as being connected by fate platonically tbh. Vero was someone who resented Idia being above her despite her being more capable, the injustice of fate being decided before they were born, and all her accomplishments being unable to surpass that. Now that she's in Ryxabyss her chapter is very much about her surpassing those limits, refusing to bow to not to Idia (who frankly never saw her below him anyways) but Olympus as a whole. Using chaos to establish a new rule.

🙉 HEAR-NO-EVIL - what is the worse thing your oc could hear from someone?

That anyone she cares about has died. She's been surrounded by death since she was born, and knows it'll happen one day, but any preparation pales to real life. After all, she does technically have the power to bring them back. She could. But she mustn't. It's a new layer of grief.

Minami's a pretty good liar, in short bursts. As her social battery drains she becomes more likely to slip up or just doesn't care anymore. It's easy to tell when she's slipping, but do you wanna press it? She'll just tell you to go fuck yourself.

Rewatching the episode I was like, trying to see things from her perspective, and ended feeling for her. Having a depressed man use your time and energy to feel better and then when he's recovered ignoring you is not that uncommon 💀

So first thing was that I REALLY didn't want to make her the topical yandere japanese highschool girl like. come on. 🙄 So I decided she's not yandere, she has justified yet excessive anger issues. Her "sweet facade" is just trying to pass as normal, so people don't gossip about her. Not "I want to kill you because I love you" but "I want to kill you because you don't even think I'm capable of love, of grief, of being hurt."

A joke about her being unfeeling or stonefaced like a robot. It brings up trauma from being bullied as a child, so it gets you on her shit list immediately. Would push you in front of a bus on a bad day type of hate.

It's also why only Jojo can call her "Ai". Because she knows Jojo isn't making an "artificial intelligence" jab at her and only, truly means it as a nickname for "Airi." And it still cost a whole ass argument to get that privilege lol

I've been given a lot, and I think I've learned a lot of life lessons but I think one in particular is, 'short term pain sometimes saves long term hurt'. When I'm finding it hard to let go of someone toxic or who is very obviously using me, it's what I think about. Like ripping off a band-aid, it'll hurt now, let it hurt, but get up and move on, because I can, because I have to, because they are not the beginning or end of the world.

94- Who is the first person you tell good news to? Is it the same for bad news?

ah, for me that's always my siblings, my mom, and June (@haitaniapologist ) and Jojo (@tokyo-daaaamn-ji-gang) and my two irl best friends. With bad news, I tend to keep it to myself, I hate bothering or burdening people and I usually just think I ought to deal with things myself, which I know isn't necessarily healthy...oops.

83- What's your type ? Do you think you attract a certain type of person?

Lol I like to pretend I don't have a type but I do, it's clear to see. My type tends to fall into quiet types, perhaps a little shy and awkward, introspective but really fun and love listening once you're able to break down their barriers, passionate about their interests and maybe a little serious until they're comfortable with you. Maybe they're not big on talking until they know you well but once they do, everything flows well. I think I tend to attract those types too. I like to think I'm quite open and it encourages others to be open too, no judgement here and they don't need to be shy either.

Hi, sorry for being anon, this isn’t hate or anything negative! I wanted to ask about the quotation incident that is being talked about a lot at the moment, I feel a little lost!

From what I know Jojo referred to the term system in quotation marks, and I wanted to ask why this has upset a lot of people, especially people with DID? Quotation marks are used for words, terms or phrases that are unfamiliar or not well known, and are used once when the word is first introduced in a passage and then not used again. It’s sort of an indication the quoted word is a homograph, jargon or colloquial. From what I understand Jojo was being grammatically correct, because outside of DID, system (referring to DID) is an unfamiliar word.

Am I not seeing something unique to your perspective? I would love to fully understand, thank you for your time to answer this!

I’ll do my very best to put words to my feelings on what went down, but if my answer isn’t enough, I highly recommend going to @musashi ‘s blog! They’ve answered many questions about the situation, and written fantastic posts about it.

Long post ahead, my apologies.

Now, while using system in quotation marks might have been grammatically correct, I think the issue comes from the cultural meaning of quotation marks. Online, in English, quotation marks outside of their use in showing dialogue frequently seem to indicate sarcasm or disbelief, as explained in this lovely Tumblr post (about the generational divide of punctuation meanings):

cop-disliker69 Old people use quotation marks to indicate emphasis, as a substitute for italics (which many of them could not produce on the old typewriters they learned to write on), whereas young people use them to indicate sarcasm or falseness. They’re used as “scare quotes”.

And old people use ellipses simply to indicate a pause, or for some other incomprehensible reason I’m not aware of. But young people use ellipses to indicate passive-aggression.

So an old person could type something like:

how are things going with your “boyfriend”….

and what they mean is

How are things going with your boyfriend? [Im so excited for you, sweetie, and I wanna hear about it]

But a young person would interpret that sentence as

How are things going with your so-called boyfriend…. [I say, while seething with contempt for him and possibly for you too]

Additionally, dissociative identity disorder is a touchy subject that simply must be treated with care. It has long history of heavy stigma and abuse against those with it, to the point ignorance is genuinely hard to differentiate from malice.

Jojo’s explanation reads as follows:

Four doesn’t hear separate conversations in his head. He doesn’t have separate/multiple personalities. He is not a “system”. I'm using very little from the manga (As a side note: Vio IS Link(No LxL)). Any “I” or “me” from the colors is not meant as a declaration identifying separately from his complete self.

Furthermore, while his power is multiplied by 4, He is ONE personality but the unique perspective of each color is actually different aspects of his thought process that is made audible.

I personally believe that the use of quotation marks around the word system, coupled with the use of outdated and, quite frankly, offensive terminology in the sentence just before it (multiple personalities), was unnecessary and insensitive at best. The explanation feels careless, too cut and dry given the weight of the topic addressed.

In Jojo’s apology, they explain that they’re foreign, that their manner of speaking often comes off as blunt. Understandable! But again, DID is a heavy topic, and with the presence of so many systems in the fandom that relate to Four and his experiences, the explanation of Four’s ability felt quite alienating, especially given the very first sentence of Jojo’s explanation:

Sunset pt 8 & 9 Posted at the same time b/c I figured I'd show him split in its entirety to avoid any wrong impressions on how the Four sword works in LU

They explained to avoid wrong impressions on Four- the wrong impression that he’s a system. It may not have been intentional, but this was hurtful. Systems seeing themselves in Four and relating to his experiences should not be wrong.

Jojo apologized in a timely manner, an apology that felt more like a reluctant excuse than anything, but which I will begrudgingly accept as all we’re going to get. The damage has already been done. Systems are now being put down, belittled, sent hate over their feelings by people that have deemed their response an overreaction.

This is more than fandom children whining over a headcanon being disproved. This is a marginalized group being shown that yet again, their situation is not worthy of careful consideration, that thoughtless words are all they can get. This is a marginalized group being shown that, should they speak out against harmful messages, they will be talked over, their words twisted, their experiences taken in bad faith.

This is systems being shown that seeing Four as a system is not welcome here. This is systems being shown that they are not welcome here.

Both the way Jojo handled the situation, and the backlash of fans who insist she’s done absolutely nothing wrong and that those of us affected are being ridiculous, has left a sour taste in the mouths of many of us.

For me personally, the comfort I’ve found in this community has been left irreversibly shattered. I simply can’t allow myself to sit amongst those that have shown they’ll turn on me if I speak up for myself.

There are a select few that I trust and will continue to support when they make content, canon be damned, but for the most part, I’ll be turning back towards l/oz as a whole, specifically F/our S/words. If lu Four isn’t for systems, then we’ll take him straight from his source.

Yandere “MBTI”

Disclaimer: The yandere trope is not a portrayal of healthy or ideal relationships, but instead a horror-based genre meant to stick strictly to fiction.

I was inspired by the MBTI type indicator to make something similar but for yandere characters! I am by no means an expert and it’s mostly just a fun little assessment on the yandere trope because I love personality test stuff. Feel free to send asks giving your own input and ideas!!

Another preface, I think that yandere as a whole is complex and can’t be simply boiled down to a few terminologies and concepts. In doing so it loses a lot of nuance that’s unique to the trope/genre whatever you’d want to call it. So that being said I view this system to be more of a of how I generally think most yanderes operate, rather than a set of rules that must be followed. I say this because I’d hate to stifle any creativity that doesn’t strictly fall into it! A lot of these mix and match with one another as well, so it isn’t always 100% either-or.

I’ve seen some of these concepts floating around before and I’m not claiming to be the creator of any of them!! I’m just giving my two cents on stuff I’ve seen before.

That being said, let’s get started !! Underneath the cut for length.

Cruel vs. Reverent

This preference is how a yandere outwardly and inwardly acts towards their darling.

Cruel yanderes often belittle their darling. These are the types of yanderes that see their darling as more of a playing than their equal lover, a way to pass the time or enjoy themselves. They test the limits of what their darling can handle, most often than not for their own entertainment and no practical usage. They’re capable of being degrading and sadistic, taking pleasure in whittling down their darling or molding them into something new entirely. How they do so can vary, but most commonly involves inflicting physical or heavy emotional strain. These yanderes are capable of feeling some twisted version of “love”, or feel nothing at all.

Examples of cruel yanderes include Hisoka from Hunter x Hunter, Izaya Orihara from Durarara, and Rohan Kishibe from Jojo’s Bizarre Adventures.

Reverent yanderes look at their darling as if they’re the entire universe. Even if they do things that make their darling unhappy, they don’t do it just for the sake of making them upset. There’s often a purpose within their own mind that justifies their actions, normally believing that it’s for their darling’s own good. They hold their darling in high regard and do what they can to give their darling the best life possible (within reason). These yanderes are more common. They might even feel a sense of “guilt” for how they’ve negatively impacted their darling psyche, and try to make it up to them in their own way.

Examples of reverent yanderes include Izuku Midoriya from My Hero Academia, Narancia Ghirga from Jojo’s Bizarre Adventures, and Todoroki Shouto from My Hero Academia.

Questions to ask when characterizing a yandere into either category:

How do they generally act towards others? Is it different with their darling?

Is it possible their behavior would change over time?

What would they be willing to do for their darling?

Aware vs. Delusional

Kinda self explanatory. This is more of a scale of a yandere’s perception of reality.

Aware yanderes will know that their darling doesn’t love them, and most likely despises them. Or if their darling does love them, that they’re probably not deserving of it due to their immoral actions. It mixes in with a lot of guilt over what they’ve done to their darling, even if they think it’s for the best in the long term. These yanderes don’t fool themselves into believing that they deserve their darling’s love, though they wish they had it. As much as it hurts, they have come to accept it, almost as a self-inflicted punishment for their actions.

On the other hand, aware yanderes can simply not care that their darling doesn’t love them. This often intermingles with cruel yanderes. What matters most to them is monopolizing their darling’s feelings/time, reveling in the power they hold. It’s not that they feel bad about what they’re doing, or that they intend on changing their ways due to how much darling despises them. They can even view it as a challenge to see what darling will handle before crumbling.

Examples of aware yanderes include Giorno Giovanna from Jojo’s Bizarre Adventures, Chrollo Lucilfer from Hunter x Hunter, and Leone Abbacchio from Jojo’s Bizarre Adventures.

Delusional yanderes are unreasonable and stubborn to a fault. They believe from the bottom of their heart that their darling does love them, twisting everything to serve as evidence for this. Whether it’s a small sign of kindness that they interpret as requited love, or even a passing glance on the street, anything and everything is used to validate their delusions. These yanderes twist their darling’s hatred in their own favor, to protect themselves; as the reality of their darling hating them would be too much to bear. That there’s no possible way darling hates them, there must be another explanation for it that isn’t related to their behavior. This is how a delusional might think. While not all delusional yanderes share this extreme way of thinking, they believe some level of it, depending on how far gone they are.

Examples of delusional yanderes are Shigaraki Tomura from My Hero Academia, Illumi Zoldyck from Hunter x Hunter, and Josuke Higishikata from Jojo’s Bizarre Adventures.

Questions to ask when characterizing a yandere into either category:

What is this character’s mental state?

How do they view their darling?

What does this character consider their relationship to be with their darling?

Manipulative vs. Honest

This is how yanderes interact with their darling/darling’s surroundings.

Manipulative yanderes are more of a classic. They set a goal and are ruthless at pursuing it, twisting every variable in their favor, regardless of how immoral it may be. Nothing is sacred to them, they’ll pull all the stops necessary of keeping their darling in check. When it comes to obtaining their darling, they’ll decide what’s necessary to get their darling in a position they like. They can be more subtle about their influence, or painfully obvious. They’ll make darling question themselves, having set up plans behind the scenes to twist everything into their favor. This can extend to those that darling knows. Forms of manipulation can include making darling question themselves, threatening their darling somehow, or threatening those around their darling to isolate them.

Outside of interacting with darling, they might mess around with darling’s surroundings. From getting them to lose their job somehow, kicked out of their residence, or getting darling’s friends to abandon them without any explanation. Anything to make darling fully reliant on them is the true goal of manipulative yanderes. Whether they’re doing it for a “self-righteous” reason such as keeping darling safe, or solely because of their selfish desire to keep darling all to themselves, depends on the individual yandere.

Examples of manipulative yanderes include Izaya Orihara from Durarara (very much so), Bruno Bucciarati from Jojo’s Bizarre Adventures, and Kai Chisaki from My Hero Academia.

Honest yanderes don’t see the point in beating around the bush and are a bit of a rarer type. They love (or want to being in possession) of their darling, and they want to be important to darling as well. Simple enough. They don’t like wasting their time with little games of cat and mouse, and would rather they get what they want as soon as possible. The type to say, “I like you, you like me, let’s go out.”, or if they’re aware, “I like you, you want something from me, let’s both get something out of this.” They may not be capable of being manipulative, or simply see it as a waste of valuable effort. A lot of times these yanderes aren’t transparent for the sake of being transparent, and it’s simply a different form of controlling their darling on a lazier level.

It’s also possible that honest yanderes feel too guilty to be manipulative of their darling. Why this is depends on the yandere, but possible reasons include not feeling deserving of darling in the first place, or that it’d hurt them if they falsely led darling on. These yanderes would feel more content knowing darling is safe and happy more than anything, if their goal isn’t to obtain darling’s love. This leads to a lot of self-destructive behavior at times, for the sake of keeping darling content.

Examples of honest yanderes include Jonathan Joestar from Jojo’s Bizarre Adventures, Leone Abbacchio from Jojo’s Bizarre Adventures, and (to a lesser extent), Todoroki Shoto from My Hero Academia.

Questions to ask when characterizing a yandere into either category:

How do they go about getting into a relationship with darling?

What do they hide from their darling?

Is this character one that would feel guilty for their actions?

Strict vs. Lenient

This will decide how a yandere wants their darling to act/their expectations.

Strict yanderes have an internal rule set that they want their darling to follow, whether they vocalize it or not. This can be anything from not wanting their darling to do certain things, to expecting certain behaviors from them. This yandere is most likely going to kidnap their darling, or if they don’t, it’s suffocating enough to the point it feels like their darling is trapped. They micromanage every aspect of their darling’s life. How they deal with a darling’s “betrayal” of not acting how they’re supposed to depends on if they lean towards cruel or reverent. The reason strict yanderes act the way they do can range from wanting to protect their darling, to wanting to keep darling all to themselves.

Examples of strict yanderes include Giorno Giovanna from Jojo’s Bizarre Adventures, Kai Chisaki from My Hero Academia, and Illumi Zoldyck from Hunter x Hunter.

Lenient yanderes are more of a rare, chill kind. This can stem from confidence that their darling really can’t do much about them, even if they’re allowed to live their life as they please. They don’t really feel an urge to kidnap their darling or to lock them away and throw the key. To an extent they still might want their darling to act a certain way, but they have their own stuff going in on life to attend to. That or they prefer to have a more “natural” feeling relationship. Lenient yanderes can control their darling in other, more subtle ways rather than outright taking away all darling’s freedom.

Examples of lenient yanderes include Guido Mista from Jojo’s Bizarre Adventures, Dabi from My Hero Academia, and Hisoka from Hunter x Hunter.

Questions to ask when characterizing a yandere into either category:

How likely is this yandere to restrict their darling?

If they choose not to restrain their darling, why is that?

What rules would they want their darling to adhere to?

IM ACTUALLY...REALLY REALLY REALLY EXCITED THAT SOMEONE ASKED ME THIS SO THANK YOU SO MUCH ANONYMOUS LET ME TAKE YOU THROUGH MY JOURNEY <3

so like u mention in the ask, i actually also was one of the ppl that hated him a lot at first (screenshot of this message ft the date for reference)

he was brash and rude and so fucking mean to his mother for no reason and i got sick of the schtick pretty quick. compared to joseph's rambunctiousness and jonathan's honor, jotaro's outright hostility wasnt endearing to me

however, an important thing i remember consciously noting was how he mentions he stays in the jail cell in order to keep people form getting hurt

and so i remember noting "ah. he's gonna be one of those 'me against the world for the sake of my loved ones' types"

the question from then on was if jotaro's character would stick the landing of that archetype

and well, obviously he did (for me at least)

as i continued to watch part 3 i began to feel more amicable toward jotaro. he was not my favorite but i was warming up to him. during jotaor vs dio i really felt for him. it's plain to see this kid is absolutely traumatized even if he tries so hard to ignore it. i personally have always had a soft spot for characters like this. dont really know why. i do not want to psychoanalyze myself to figure it out <3

anyway but finishing part 3 didnt make me a jotaro stan. i liked him enough by then, sure, but he still was rocky and i loved poking fun about him

however i then began part 4 and i much much MUCH preferred this new, more respectable jotaro. he's still got the trauma and rough edges and inability to communicate but he's less of an outright asshole now. the only time i remember disapproving of him during that part was then he punched josuke when they first met 😭 but even then that can be explained by his trauma and how crazy diamond looks similar to the world so i didnt really feel miffed

however jotaro is not the star of part 4 obviously so he kinda faded to the background for me while i fell in love with josuke/the morioh gang at large

but anyway. at this point i had become fully hyperfixated on jojo (phantom blood started it, battle tendency made sure i'd keep watching, and stardust crusaders finalized it) so i was looking shit up about it all the time

a part of that included being exposed to part 6 spoilers obviously. i remember when i first saw jolyne i wasn't sure if she was a popular fanon character cause i just couldn't comprehend jotaro having a daughter 😭

but i did more digging cause while i still poked fun i did like jotaro so i was curious, and... i found out how stone ocean ends. i find out how jotaro's story ends

still some of the playful ribbing but i think u can tell from my typing pattern that the tone of it has changed. jotaro took a new, deeper place in my heart

what solidified it and thus cemented jotaro as probably my favorite character was a couple of things: eyes of heaven and reading the manga of stardust crusaders

eyes of heaven made me really confront how jotaro's one sole wish is just his loved ones being safe and happy. jotaro gets the power to rewrite the timeline however he wanted; he could do literally ANYTHING he wanted. and he chose a happy ending for his loved ones, for his family. he chose to save people he had never met for the sake of others. jotaro is a lot of things but above all he is truly just a man, a man that loves his family so fucking much, and the way eyes of heaven portrayed it just particularly ruined me

coinciding this, i also started reading the stardust crusaders manga i think at first cause i wanted to see kakyoin again super badly. however, this quickly became a venture for also jotaor content, because the manga gave me something the anime would never: jotaro emoting. jotaro being gentle. jotaro, most importantly, being a child who was thrust into a situation far too big for him that he frankly had nothing to do with. the manga combined with his depseration in eyes of heaven helped me to fully come to terms with the fact that jotaro was a SCARED TEENAGER WHO JUST WANTED HIS MOMA DN HIS NEW FRIENDS TO BE OKAY AND IT LED TO ALL OF THIS. it truly made me nuts and we're now here <3

so, tl;dr, jotaro was done BAD bad by davidpro in part 3 by them refusing to let him show any of his vulnerability/childishness, which does him no favors; but ultimately he is a character i think you appreciate more once you know his whole story, as evidenced by my complete turn over post me knowing about part 6. everything he does can be understood a lot better once you understand his end goal (and, well, see everything he does lol) and how it goes for him.

I'm so into villains who are just... bad ya'know. Like, there are 2 types of villains.

1) they're a villain cuz "the world turned them into one"

2) they're evil cuz they think it's fun and they enjoy killing. No traumatic past or anything. There's just something about those type of villians that just makes me feel things ya'know. They are always the cooler type of villains. They are always more charismatic and I love their personalities so much.

I'm really into Sukuna. Jojo villains especially Diavolo from Part 5. ❤️ I'm watching fmab and I like Kimblee a lot.

Basically psychopaths (not Light Yagami tho). They are bastards and I hate them (affectionate)

Avdol

Immediate worry with you getting hit before seeing a cat in your place. He’s able to connect the dots fairly quickly and so he’ll scoop you up before you can be harmed further.

Does his best to take care of you as a cat. He doesn’t really tease you but he can’t help the smile that appears on his lips now and then.

Avdol can’t help that you’re so small and adorable as a cat. Definitely going to give you head pats and cheek scratches.

He will gladly carry you around so you all can get from place-to-place faster.

When you’re human, he’ll give you a small kiss on the cheek and say, “Welcome back”. He will absolutely bring up the cat thing once in a while if he’s in a good mood, but he’s not going to tease you about it so badly.

Joseph

100% let’s out an “OH GOD” or “HOLY SHIT” when he sees you become a cat. For a split second he is super worried before he thinks, ‘No, this is great. You’re so freaking cute.’

He is going to be an absolute menace with messing with your little paws, wanting to see your toe beans. He’s going to give you so many pets because he wants to hear you purr.

Will happily carry you around. Will get one of those baby sling things and put you in it.

Yes, he misses his S/O and all the hugs and stuff that you both give each other, but you’re a tiny, adorable cat!!

You go back to normal and he’ll be a tad disappointed because he misses carrying you in that sling. That disappointment goes away when he remembers now he can actually kiss and hug you without the fear of crushing you.

Jotaro

On the outside, he is displaying absolute loathing with this situation. You’re a cat now, meaning you’re weak and helpless and are going to be a burden on everyone.

On the inside, he is so amused with the situation. Because you’re a cat now. You’re tiny and pathetic. What are you going to do, scratch someone with your tiny, kitty claws?

Not going to trust anyone else to carry you around though. Again, he acts like he hates carrying you from place-to-place but he will. If it’s just the two of you then he’s absolutely going to throw in a teasing comment about the situation just to see your cat pout.

Will grab you by the scruff of your neck to take you places too if you try to go off on your own or try to be “helpful”. He’s not having it. You’re a cat and animals don’t end up with happy endings around the SDC so he’s keeping you close.

Will be relieved once you’re human again. If you end up talking too much at some points then he’ll gladly give you a smirk and state how he misses when you were a cat cause you didn’t talk then. He loves you, he’s just a bastard.

Kakyoin

So so worried when he saw you hit with the attack and now you’re a cat. He is just afraid of what could happen to you as a cat since your body is a lot more fragile now.

Will take it upon himself to keeping you safe by holding you. Like Joseph, he might buy one of those baby slings for you to be in just so he has you close.

Will get you nothing but the best fish and seafood to eat as well because you didn’t choose this to happen and he’s not going to feed his S/O gross cat food.

Okay but if you start purring when he pets you then he gets so soft. Like he just wants to take you to a hotel and pet you just for the purring. It’s adorable and he loves it so much.

Will be glad to have you as a human again. Will also tease you by patting your head, frowning, and stating “I had hoped you kept the purr”. But he will apologize about the teasing and say that he does prefer you like this.

Polnareff

I mean of course he’s worried by you getting attacked especially when a cat takes your place. It’d probably be Avdol or Kakyoin that points at the similarities between the cat and yourself for him to realize.

He is holding you close because he doesn’t want you getting hurt. Also so he can tease you more about how he has to hold you because your little stubby cat paws can’t move that fast.

Honestly, he has mixed feelings about the cat thing. Like you’re a cat and he can play with your cute toe beans and give you all kinds of pets and cuddle you. But on the other hand, he would like to actually kiss and hug you as you.

If you end up hissing or growling at him due to his teasing then he’ll pretend to get offended before apologizing. But then he goes right back to the teasing.

He is never going to let you live this down when you get back to being human. You were just so cute as a cat and so tiny. He’s a menace.

(basically enemies to lover for short) Inspiration: Based on real life thoughts with a person honestly lmaO I really think they are a compeition(they don’t know) but in the end it’s just a friendly thing. Jonathan Joestar

✧ God. To you he was really annoying, teachers praised him and he was a top student in the rankings and a teacher’s pet, you’d never see him complain, cry, or anything at all.

✧ Of course he was the class president and a student council so it annoyed you more since he was kind of like a mary sue in your eyes, the fact that he got good grades and doesn’t seem to have a hard time in the things he does really annoy you.

✧ You were in the top 3 top students except you’re in 3rd place and you could never beat Jonathan, moreover he’s also an athlete and you were bothered that girls were practically drooling to him. But despite this you’ll never do anything to seek revenge, you won’t embarrass him or frame him because you still have morals.

✧ Though you were just grumpy and passive agressive to him sometimes whenever the teacher asks him to help you, you really didn’t like receiving help from him because for you, you think that’s a sign of weakness.

✧ Of course you get parterned up with him a big project that was considered as your examination and you hated it. You treated it more of a individual work, but after knowing him a bit from that project you kinda like how he acted, polite, kind and patient.

✧ Everytime he sees you struggle and you decline for help he’ll just go behind you or besides you and either guide your hands to fix it or he’ll fix it himself and he’ll just smile afterwards, it was really cute and you’ll mentally slap yourself for liking him, were you forgetting he was rival?

✧ He’ll slowly consider you as a friend and he would really really feel guilty for assuming that you were a rude person base on you act towards him but he eventually thinks that you’re a kind person in the inside but a bit stubborn and he finds that cute.

✧ If it’s a love story you and him will secretly date and its not obvious to the world that you two are dating, you were never touchy with him in public, you two still acted the same honestly, a bit stubborness coming from you and stubborness from Jonathan because he’s really willing to help you with everything, eitherway you two only have playful fights and a few REAl arguments here an there but you two eventually make up again a few days later.

✧ If it’s a platonic relationship you two would be the bestest of friends and you two would have playful arguments and some people would literally ship you two because of your friendship.

Joseph Joestar

✧ This guy was intelligent but lazy and yet he still gets 1st place in the class as a top student with A+ grades, and you found it also annoying that he was naturally talented and effortlessly got them, you sometimes wonder if he cheats.

✧ And because you think he cheats you go out of your way to site his essays and public works to see if he uses references or anything, but no this guy is just naturally talented and you felt like he didn’t deserve especially with his laid off attitude.

✧ Now you don’t show your passive aggressive side to him because you know better not to make him think that you’re literally angry at him, for you he’s just a competition and another boss level to defeat, it’s not personal just a fun thing you do so you don’t take out your anger out on him.

✧ He is also an athlete, of course the Joestar bloodline and legacy literally revolves around the sports they take, so it was no surprise, you on the other hand is also an athlete and you would most likely take the competition seriously whenever there’s a boys vs girls basketball game, you were the MVP let’s just say, sports was like your whole life.

✧ Of course there’s an annual event that the high school hosts where as every student will be competing against each other, the remaining 4 players will be the ones set out to compete to another sports festival in a different school. They will choose 4 players per sport.

✧ Of course you chose to marathon since you were honestly swift and that was more on your main sport, running. And it was Joseph’s as well and you two had to compete with each other among other students, he’ll say something cocky to you that is enough to motivate you to defeat him.

✧ Eventually you and Joseph were one of the 4 people chosen to compete in another school, and though it took awhile for you two to agree on things you two won the tournament with teamwork and ever since then your friend consists of constant and non stop teasing and playful banters.

✧ “What do you mean? I clearly made our team win!” he’d say and you’d just roll your eyes at his cockiness. Though you’d retort with something cocky as well.

Jotaro Kujo

✧ You honestly don’t know why this guy was even a top student he often gets into fights and the teachers just shrug it off, you find it annoying he gets to answer everything before you and finish quizzes before you and you get so pissed and can’t understand why is he quick and he doesn’t seem like a type to review.

✧ He’s pissed at every fangirl he has and he is pissed at you sometimes as well because you try avoiding him, yeah he’s aware of your competitiveness and he doesn’t really care that much.

✧ But you do so you basically you’re like legit pissed at him and you think that he also doesn’t deserve his intelligence since he’s just wasting it away by smoking cigarettes at the back of the school and fighting people it was honestly annoying and you wish you had his intelligence at the same time.

✧ Unlike the others maybe in this one you’re being constantly pressured by high grades so you started smoking as well to relieve your stress, you’d somberly sulk at the back of the school as well smoking your problems away it made you feel calm for some reason. ✧ He sees you there and mumbles a “Tch” while he adjusts his cap and walk near you and light up his cigarette and doesn’t say a word, he doesn’t honestly care what you were doing, anyone was allowed to do anything they want to do so he left you there. ✧ Honestly he started getting concerned of you when you were often doing it, even he knew that too much is too much. “ That’s enough” he’ll say and take your cigarette pack away, “Touche” you’ll just roll your eyes and walk away. He’d always stop you from smoking, you were getting addicted honestly and it’s not helping since every minute you were getting stressed out. ✧ When you’re not listening to him he’ll agressively tell you to “cut it off bitch.” or something along those lines, and you didn’t really know he was a person who hid his feelings so you snapped and scolded him that you were a mess because of him and took out all of your anger and left honestly. ✧ He couldn’t care less what you said about him and tried to accompany you at the back of the school or in the rooftops everytime it’s break or the end of classes, he didn’t speak that much but he was a good listener and constantly listened to your problems, eventually this is a routine and you treasured every second of it. ✧ It became a thing that you two basically sit on the rooftop talking to each other, from then on he’d accompany you outside of school as well and you two would hangout and it would be nice quiet moments when he’s around, he’s also a very protective friendship. Josuke Higashikata ✧ This guy really doesn’t care about his grades and yet he gets high score it was also annoying that teachers adore him, and that every girl adores him as well. Unfortunately you two were partners for a spelling Bee. Only professors were allowed to choose who participates, and though Josuke might not be accurate with his english pronounciations and spellings he still had high grades and it annoyed you that he got to participate his weak subjects just because he has high grades. ✧ Honestly he’d hate it as well and would just play games all day long instead of studying or anything, and during the spelling bee he didn’t help at all and you were pissed at him. Even though you were softly and passive agressively scolding him he didn’t get mad back and just said a “Okay okay! I’m sorry.” he’ll apologize and try to study but he’ll get distracted. ✧ Teachers still continued to praise him and gave no praise to you at all even though you carried your partner to the finish line, that’s why you hated Josuke, he was loved by everyone and you never understood why, was it his personality? Smarts? What was it? ✧ From that then you’ll break into his house with no permission and catch him playing video games. You’ll scold him to study the words and act like a strict teacher towards him, he dozed off a lot and was laid back and distracted, yet he was still able to answer some of them. ✧ This is why you didn’t like him he was too laid back and didn’t seem to take things seriously, because of this you suggested a break and he went back t o playing his video games and getting frustrated, and even though you were tight while teaching him he was kind enough to still offer you to play with him. You were going to decline but you still accepted it. ✧ This is where you saw his true personality, he talked about a lot of things and you two ended up having fun as you two play, you didn’t mind this moment and you’d want it to treasure it forever honestly. You brought up your personality as well to him, you started showing your true colors and he really liked the fact that you weren’t an overbearing person at all. ✧ ever since then you two manage to win the competitions and manage to play at the same time. You two became the bestest friends which was unexpected since you considered him as a rival, though you’re still annoyed because everytime you ask him to teach you he’ll teach really badly and you wouldn’t understand anything from him. Giorno Giovanna ✧ This guy was a quiet yet smart type, he often sits at the back of the class dazing off the window and yet still able to answer questions of the teacher even when not paying attention. ✧ Though you compete with him you know not to mess with him honestly, though a lot of really negative rumours constantly spread about him. Like his family problem and things like that so you pity him at some times. ✧ Girls adore him, something about the Joestars getting fangirls annoys you a lot. They baby him, and even though sometimes he gets annoyed and straightforwadly tells them to go away sometimes he’d entertain them and be kind. Teachers always saw him as a role model student it makes you barf. ✧He’ll also probably hangout with his school gang, nobody knows what this gang does honestly, the teachers just leave him be just because they want to just leave him be and they’re too naive; thinking that it’s just a normal innocent gang where it’s a group of kids hanging out. ✧ You caught up his ‘gang’ beating up someone and since you were a witness he saw you as a immediate threat(or so you though) and this quiet kid did a whole 180 with his personality and looked at you menacingly. ✧ You don’t know how to approach him that you won’t tell anyone you’ve witnessed and always ran away everytime he approaches you or everytime his gang approaches you. Now your rivalary and competiting against grades is now ruined because this guy could always beat you anyday when it gets to physical fights, or so you thought. ✧ You always ate lunch at the rooftop so he kind of took this opportunity to calmly sit besides you and talk to you about what you saw, he just wanted to give you context so that you wouldn’t get the wrong idea. Apparently that guy was an adult selling drugs to a bunch of graduating elementary kids. ✧ You were relieved he wasn’t gonna beat you up and put you in the sewers, you took this time to also talk to him to actually see he was a nice guy, a gentle man and that you thought he was a cocky student because you always assumed him like that, not only that but you assumed him being a playboy as well since he gets so much attention. ✧ You confess all of this to him and he let’s out a quick chuckle and you just laugh as you confess all of your thoughts and competitiveness against him, he was a good listenered actually, and didn’t take it really personally, he knew deep inside that you were a good person even though before you used to give him a scary glare when you two didn’t talk yet. ✧ From that day on you start catching up to him in the hallways and talk and all his fangirls would practically hate you and give you glares as you two are having a good time. ✧ He’ll make sure you’re out of his school gang businesses and arguments with other gangs, he may not say or sometimes express it but he always cares for you and tries to be supportive in littliest ways such as listening and remembering to every detail you tell him. ✧ you’d still playfully compete with him and if he wins you’re okay with it unlike before

Got an ask and follow-up re: whether Dio is an "archetypal villain" so doing it as one reply (fwiw I just did a reply re: Dio's nuance so keeping this to the 'archetype' part of the ask).

“someone i asked about what was their favorite villain told me he was a archetypal villain. and i think two years ago i saw a meme pic about how Dio fans are obnoxious or something. i mostly got my liking from him by analyses, alongside the fact that i do think personally that he DID change as a character, not completely, but he had some development.”

I partly agree with that, although maybe there's not one single 'archetypal villain.’ The person you spoke with probably meant that Dio's is Evil with a capital 'E,' as opposed to a villain who does the bad things for understandable reasons, or who gets corrupted by events outside their control. Araki's vision for Dio (in Part 1 especially) is, morally speaking, black-and-white, with Dio's Evil defined by Araki as an innate trait rather than the effect of his circumstances.

fwiw David Mamet's got a good list of eight villain archetypes - the anti-villain, the beast, the bully, the machine, the mastermind, the evil incarnate, the henchman, and the fanatic - and I thought for the purpose of this reply it's helpful to defining Dio's specific brand of badness. Of those archetypes, two stand out as defining Dio's *specific* type: the Evil Incarnate and (technically not on the list but inspired by it) the Anti-Hero.

(fwiw you can read my convo here about why Dio isn't a bully type. I see him mistyped this way especially by people who want to expand Jonathan's role in the series. tl;dr, basically it comes down to the fact that Dio's charisma - his most important character trait btw - draws people toward him while a bully actively seeks out confrontation. The bully barges into a room, the charismatic character gets you to barge into a room. Dio is the latter.)

Evil Incarnate's almost self-explanatory - Dio's literally called that in the series (邪悪の化身) - although I can talk more about this if you want. By contrast, his anti-hero role's maybe less obvious ... but that designation offers us a way of reconciling some of the stuff listed under Mamet's 'Evil incarnate' that doesn't work with how Dio's written. Specifically, an Evil incarnate-type villain's primary role in the narrative is usually as an obstacle to the hero's journey, ie, as an antagonist. imo, Dio functions instead primarily as a parallel protagonist.

(I've written about this before but) Araki's said this a lot: Dio joins Jonathan as a dual protagonist in Phantom Blood, and Dio's own story follows a Hero's rising arc.

(Was surprised I didn't notice this until I hunted a gif for this reply: while the Part 1 OP features both main characters throughout, it's Dio alone who's given a special manga panel mini-montage during its bridge, emphasizing his hero-style arc.)

In a lot of ways Dio's more fleshed out than the actual hero since Araki had already worked out the specifics of his personality in a prior series (whereas Jonathan was vaguer to Araki, even as Part 1 was being published: "just as Jonathan was unsure how to live his life, I was unsure as to where to take his character.") Phantom Blood starts off with Dio's introduction, not Jonathan's. As Araki puts it,

The title of the series is Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure, but first and foremost, I actually wanted to draw Dio.

The hero's introduction is inserted within Dio's introduction, as a story-within-a-story recalled in a flashback by Dio's dad. We don't get to meet Jonathan on his own terms until the next chapter, and, because of this ordering, if you read Part 1 cold you could start off thinking it's Dio who's going to be the hero. Dio's story's a riff on your stereotypical rags-to-riches tale but with the obvious twist that he's written as unapologetically Evil. Like the rags-to-riches protag, Dio's faced with increasingly difficult setbacks and challenges throughout his story's progress, and, in spite of these, he keeps moving forward. Araki, again:

Dio moves in a rising direction, like Jonathan. Dio accepts and embraces his evil nature and follows his dark path without hesitation. In other words, both Dio and Jonathan are living life with everything they’ve got, and both always maintain a rising personal arc.

In other words, Dio has his own upward rising arc by design and it's independent of the hero's. ofc his interactions with the Joestars throughout the series are significant and their back-and-forths drive the larger story, but the trajectory of Dio's arc remains largely the same throughout all this.

If you see Dio as a protagonist then you also recognize that Jonathan's (and later Jotaro and company's) relentless pursuit (yes, they pursue him, because charisma is a gravitational force) provides the antagonistic force to Dio's arc. (And going back to the Araki quote, that "without hesitation part" is really important - Dio's willful embrace of his Evil nature and the intentionality of his actions throughout Part 1 again align him with a heroic type: it's a positive character trait, just in Dio's case it's executed wrongly.)

So call Dio an anti-hero or, if it makes you more comfortable, a Villain who thinks he's the Hero in the story. This isn't a unique situation (and probably as you're reading this you might be thinking, well all villains have their own story arc too) but imo Araki writing Dio with this specific perspective and intent sets him apart from what we think of as the more generic model of a villain, whose role within the narrative is secondary to the hero's and whose arc is cleanly set up as in opposition to that hero.

Ofc, a villainous anti-hero is by nature appealing because we know we really shouldn't root for him. We should hate him ... but we still sort of love him, especially when, because of that rising story arc that Araki gave him, he keeps coming back after stupidly impossible odds. Usually when you get decapitated you lose but Dio's not like that, and there's something compelling about a character who repeatedly breaks the narrative flow by improv-ing his way through impossible situations.

tl;dr, basically if you're looking to characterize what 'type' of villain Dio is (and why he's attractive), Dio is Evil personified fused with the inconvenient fact of his also being more or less protagonist-identified. Araki wrote Dio with a hero in mind, and that fact keeps him interesting on his own terms and places him in the contrarian posture of a particularly reprehensible anti-hero.
