Stupidly lovesick Shuji likes to pretend like love doesn't matter, like as if he's above all that, because the only thing that matters are the thrills and the car chases and all the fun stuff. And really he likes that, and he thinks the copious booze and clubs can somehow fill up the empty space he has that he keeps denying he has. Until he meets sweet and kind generous you whose company he likes so much it terrifies him.

And honestly, when you do hang out, there's nothing really to it. He does his own thing and you do yours but he likes to watch you from the side of his eye, ans giggles when you chastise him for staring, but he can't help it, you're just too pretty. He finds himself blowing up your phone at random times but he constantly puts it down to being bored. He takes every chance he can to hang out, offers to drive you everywhere and beat up anyone who even considers upsetting you. Calls you his 'pretty girl' his 'princess' and buys little gifts and trinkets for you on a whim just because he thinks you might like it.

He won't admit he's in love, if you ask him why he likes to hang out with you, he'll tell you you're 'fun' to be around, and he likes you even infinitely more when he can annoy you just cos he thinks the sight of you huffing and puffing is cute to him.

How he confesses could go one of two ways. First, he gets jealous and realizes that the longer he deliberates on his feelings, the more time it gives someone else to take what's his, and who he likes, or, he continues to deny his feelings until something happens to you to make him realize that the linger he does deny himself, the closer he gets to losing you. Suddenly he's rushing to your place, holding you close with a whispered 'I won't lose you' and a 'you're mine' that he seals with a sweet and passionate kiss :)

Genuine Question:

Why do people capture wild Pokémon to use as companions or for battle?

There are plenty of Pokémon in shelters and ethical breeders. Additionally, it seems like most people will just catch a Pokémon without attempting to form a relationship with it beforehand and then complain when it’s hostile or uncooperative. I want to make it clear that I understand sometimes a wild Pokémon has to be captured if they’re an invasive species, the Pokémon is injured, or if a person is in danger. I was a Ranger; I’ve had plenty of experience with those scenarios. But those Pokémon are always given treatment (if necessary) and relocated to a nature preserve or a new area.

I’m definitely biased because pokéballs can’t legally be purchased in Fiore (where I’m from), and the idea of capturing a wild Pokémon for selfish reasons like wanting a pet or battler seems bizarre and cruel to me.

So this week was Restaurant Crew Appreciation Week at Redhead-Girl's fast food burger joint, which is basically like Spirit Week from high school with a different theme each day (I think there's also prizes for your crew participating, but my store really didn't except me and one other person. Wednesday was Favorite Movie Character Day. I admit I didn't do a ton, but I was the only person on my shift who did ANYTHING at all. And what is it I did? Well, in one night, I threw together a nice little pin for my character:

Yes, I was reppin' Hal 9000 from 2001: A Space Odyssey because I love him. It's enough to say I did something but not enough that I'd feel awkward when no one else dressed up. I didn't even actually wear it in the door. I had it in my pocket of my apron.

The day before, I had half joked about making this thing with my morning manager (the only person who actually understands my references, and who knows 2001). So that morning, I went up to her and showed her, saying I had decided to 'commit to the bit'.

Her eyes got real big and she got this big smile and was like "omg, put it on! That is awesome!"

You guys, I have never felt so incredibly happy over a shitty thing I made for a fandom. She and I kept making pod bay doors jokes the rest of shift and at lunch when I ordered food, she called out "Hal 9000!" and I strode up there feeling like a badass mofo to get my lunch. And now I'm grinning like a dumbass whenever I look at this thing.

I showed it to her today to say it survived the day AND SHE SAID I SHOULD LEAVE IT ON!!! (I did, and I felt awesome all day). I'm not sure yet, but "Hal 9000" or just "Hal" may now be my nickname on her shift. And honestly, I would not mind that at all. In fact, I'd welcome it.

This is just like, such a hugely positive thing for me. Someone in RL taking my weird fandom thing and making me feel awesome about it. That NEVER HAPPENS TO ME.. She is never gonna know how much this meant to me. I just had to share my joy with you guys. So even if you guys think this is weird or stupid, please just let me have my weird stupid happiness and be happy for me that I got it. Thank you.

I just know he's the type to be so playfully rough with his kids. The catch is, he never ever dresses appropriately for the weather, He takes a thin jacket and sweatpants and gloves if you're lucky and that's it saying 'pfftttt I ain't scared of no cold sweetheart' but then you end up seeing him run back inside after ten minutes with his fingers so chill and red raw- and knowing him he thinks he's so clever by saying he has to warm them up by sliding them under your shirt (i hate his guts i swear) and you have to tut under your breath before wrapping a scarf around his neck and giving him a better set of warmer gloves, to which he pretends like he doesn't care so much about but you'd be blind not to see that bright grin he throws at you when he leans to kiss your forehead,

And you look out the window to see your baby and him throwing snowballs at each other, one that's a spitting image of his father in the same colour scarf, the same smile, the same eyes, running after him with snow clutched tight in his tiny fist and it makes your chest ache to see the both of them so...happy? so carefree and wild and enjoying themselves? and he'll pick your son up and throw him high and catch him and he'll laugh so loud and beautiful and will tell him 'just cos you're a kid don't mean i'll go easy on you' to which your son, if he's old enough will say 'me neither old man' and you'll hear an incredulous laugh that makes your chest ache. And eventually they'll both come inside, complaining about the cold, taking off wet gloves and scarves to hang on the heater to dry, shuji slipping his hands under your shirt again cos 'they're cold baby, need'a warm 'em up heh' and you let him because you love him.

I think ran would love to buy gifts for his partner. He's a busy guy and he knows he can't always be there so he thinks he should show his love in other ways. And he's so attentive and observant, he can tell what you like whenever you're out shopping. But, he'd assume that your initial nervousness around getting things from him would be because you didn't like them..so he'd be internally kicking himself for it, up until he realizes that it's actually just because you're not used to getting things.

And I think the way he'd realize that through small things he buys.. you'd seem to be happy if he just paid for coffee or a meal, and you're always insistent on paying for the next one to which he always adamantly disagrees. He'd think you don't like his gifts, and you'd believe he's only spoiling you because he feels obligated to do so. Until he sits you down to tell you he does it because he wants to, and you deserve to have nice things that he wants to buy. Because what else is money for if not spending on who you love?
