Ryoma Hoshi

He tries to keep his cool. Even though he so obviously loves you. He has his own reasons to not "let it" show.

His hat is his savior, but it's one of number one signs that he's embarrassed.

Embarrassed Ryoma is a rare sight to most. To you? Everyday occurrence.

You often flatter him, he doesn't believe most of it but hearing you say it has it's own effect.

Maybe it's your voice that makes him feel happy, or maybe deep down he believes it. Either way he hates how uncool he is about it all.

"I don't think you should bother with me. It's not like we're close or anything so nothing should change if you just leave me be"

Gonta Gokuhara

It's not that he's a Tsundere, it's more that he doesn't want to accept his feelings while still being super polite.

He doesn't see your flirting as any romantic advances either. He honestly thinks you're just being nice!

So his main problem is that he doesn't think it's very suitable for a gentleman to think so much about his romantic interest concerning you.

Once you get him flustered he is a little at a loss. One one end lying to you isn't the most considerate, on the other he really doesn't want you to know his real feelings and desires.

"Oh- um... Gonta is very happy Y/N likes Gonta's company! But... Uh... Gonta can't stay here much longer"

He can't really tell if you mean your flirting or are you just joking... So he's not going to let you make a fool out of him!

Although your remarks make him overheat each time he's insisting that it's not you who's causing this.

Of course you know better than that so you just smile and nod, making him think that you actually believe him.

I mean- of course you do! He's telling the truth and it's not like he loves your flirtatious remarks.

Somehow you made someone as blunt as him run from his feelings, good job.

I wouldn't say he's afraid to take a step forward in your relationship... But he desn't know if he's ready to be with you.

It's not a you problem either. I mean- sort of? While he sees your flirting for what it is and is flattered he usually responds to it by laughing.

He finds your lines cheesy, and he doesn't know if because of it it'd be okay for him to be with you. Think about it, you just tell him something really sweet and he responds by laughing? That seems kinda rude.

So instead he pretends to be oblivious... Which is kinda just as rude to some extent.

"I'm sorry for laughing but you really are good with those lines Y/N. I'm sure that if you flirted with someone you really like they gotta work! It definitely doesn't work on me though since we're just buddies!"

Shuichi Saihara

Although he comes off as the shy type, he's actually a really proper Tsundere. He doesn't snap at you as often though.

But he does pretend to be annoyed by your flirting. He usually doesn't say much, or just plainly not respond at all.

He tends to think more and speak less, so usually you get only half of what he actually wants to say.

He's very flustered the entire time though, so it's not like you can't tell your words have an effect on him.

"H-huh!? Stop that- are you even aware of what you're saying?..."

Rantaro Amami

He is rather cool with your flirting, but he never knows how to respond to it.

He likes you, but he doesn't think if he wants to be with you considering how often he travels.

If you actually asked him out he'd probably say yes even if he's not sure of what he should do. But he does like you a lot.

So he's full of hesitation... But still stays calm and is very polite to you. He doesn't want to think what is or what could be. So for now he keeps his distance.

"You flatter me, really. But you don't need to say it like that- it's not like we're together or anything..."

Kokichi Ouma

He's really good at hiding his romantic interest in you, but he definitely can't hide the fact that he doesn't find you boring at all.

Often approaching you he's quick to regret it with the way he feels about you that's his usual deal.

Messing with you is just his favorite activity. I mean you try to turn the tables and he definitely likes to play hard to get. So there is all gain and no loss from your interactions.

He likes to rate your lines. Especially if he gets flustered by them and he gets to pretend it's nothing.

"I'd give this one a 6... While your words aren't bad they aren't unique enough to impress me. Keep trying and I might actually swoon over you... Of course what I just said was a lie I don't think you can manage that"

Korekiyo Shinguji

He loves observing you. Not talking to you.

He tries to act triple times as creepy thinking you'd leave him alone and let him observe your beauty... From a safe distance where your words don't reach him.

But you just keep coming back and making him stumble with his words. Usually he doesn't loose his cool around those he's interested in... You however are special.

You always know the right thing to say, the right thing to do and he knows that you like him. He just doesn't want to be vulnerable by letting himself fall for you yet.

"Khehehe so you've decided to talk to me again? Interesting... Perhaps soon you'll be worthy to participate in... Oh wait I don't want to spoil the surprise now do I? Just don't think it means too much about the way I view you"

If there’s nothing specific I do just have some random fun facts that just never made it into the actual AU heh

Mondo can’t get tattoos because of his power and it INFURIATES him. The needles would break and just splatter ink everywhere.

Hina first found out about her power during swimming lessons. She stayed underwater for so long they were worried she was going to drown and pulled her out. She didn’t understand why everyone was upset? She was just hanging out in the pool, it was no big deal.

After the events of the first story, Kyoko’s hands tend to ache a lot and Makoto will always try to massage them or anything else he can do to help with the pain. And if he has a nightmare about everything that happened at night she’s the first one he’d go to.

Miu once snuck Kiibo and Gonta from Professor Iidabashi and took them to do stupid teen stuff at a mall. They got up some serious shenanigans and when the professor found out they were all grounded for weeks. (If I ever have time I would love to write this out these three being buddies means so much to me lol)

Sometimes Rantaro will accidentally phase through the bed while he sleeps, so he prefers to sleep on a futon.

Celeste absolutely used her power to cheat at gambling all the time. She loved it any time they’d try to accuse her of cheating because she knew there’d be no proof and they’d just be making a fool of themselves.

Mukuro really thinks of Makoto as a little brother now, and she enjoys teasing him the way any good older sibling would. Using him as an arm rest, mocking him when his voice cracks, saying no any time he asks for help and then helping him anyway.

Those are all the fun facts I could think of off the top of my head…. Thanks for asking! :D

I honestly think this ship is so fun, rivals to lover potential lol. I think in cannon there’s a lot of animosity between them, but as a fan ship I think people do a lot of really neat things with them!

Ok honestly, I know it’s a rare pair but I actually really like this ship!! I just want Mikan to be happy she’s my absolute favourite danganronpa character! And her and Hajime have some neat moments in the game! I started doing her free time events when I briefly got to play sdr2, and honestly Hajime getting to find out her past and her trauma I want him to help her and stand up for her against people like Hiyoko. And they’d just be really sweet!

Truth be told I’ve never really thought of this ship before, I think they’d definitely be buddies! But I’m not sure about it as a ship, maybe that’s just cause I don’t really tend to ship Gonta or Ryoma with anyone lol

first of all, good picks, gonta is my bby boy and i want to hug him and let him talk about bugs for as long as he wants. as for me, my all-time favorite is chiaki because i'm biased as a sleepy gamer girl who shares a birthday with her. i also like junko because i cosplayed her once for a costume contest at my high school's anime club several years ago. didn't win but whatever. 🙃 i didn't get very far in udg (actually barely seen last the tutorial) so i know nothing about it but i think my favorite from 3 is kokichi because he's fun to hate and i want to punt him. <3 but i also just have a thing for characters that are big liars.

and i think the second game is my favorite because it had my favorite group of characters (gundham, my beloved) -🌸

chiaki is so cute i do love her a lot too! but i tend to gravitate towards the WEIRDOS. saying that, chiaki is pretty weird... but like you, she's like me :D sleepy gamer girl. which kinda bores me. did you know that when danganronpa 2 makes you play twilight syndrome my favourite game dev ever suda51 was heavily involved in the sequel to that title, moonlight syndrome, and his first game created under his new studio grasshopper manufacture (called the silver case) carries on from the end of moonlight syndrome. i just thought that was neat, that all the games are connected that way.

im so sorry you didn't win the contest omg i bet you slayed though... junko is a lot a lot of fun, but there's just something about her that irks me to my core. like she shows up on screen and im like SHUT UP !!!! MY QUEEN!!! yknow?

udg is not a fun game. it's interesting lore wise, but i hated playing it. do not recommend. and i feel you on the kokichi. he's like a little rat, except not as cute. and that makes me hate him LMAO.

and please dont apologise! always here to chat about anything, including danganronpa :D i didn't play it at its peak, so i have a lot of unresolved feelings about the game because i had no one to talk to about it lmao.

Hopefully I don't sound like a killjoy, and if I do I apologize- in my opinion, I don't think Celeste would love Gonta romantically? If only because she's picky with the men she likes I feel...

That said, I could maybe see it platonically! She'd definitely use him as a bodyguard for sure.. Again, sorry if I put a damper!! I don't mean to diss you or anything!

Otherwise I agree about Nagito needing to see the ultimates as people and that I too don't jive with Kokichi.

[From this ask] I want to preface this by saying please don't ever worry about dissing me or upsetting me if our interpretations are diametrically opposed! I am not precious about pairings or headcanons or the like in the least, super chill 👍 I'm always down for hearing other's interpretations! Is it canon-compliant? Is it complete crack? Familial? Romantic? Platonic? Hell, you could walk into my home and state "Actually I think Taka and Mondo's relationship is doomed to end in misery" and I'd say "Ah! Do tell! how does that come about? but also how'd you find my address?"

If nothing else, platonically or romantically, Celeste and Gonta would have a really compelling dynamic to explore - the real noble raised as a complete unknown looking to rediscover his heritage, and the fake noble clinging to her dream of ascending to aristocracy, juicy!

Kokichi is a menace, and I'll have none of his fancy jiving footwork in this house.

@ididnahthither Personally no. However! I've seen some nice variations of Kirumi, Mukuro and Sakura with Taka, I think matching the girls' sensible and dedicated natures with his own - and a lot of pairings with Celeste! Often with Celeste initially pursuing Taka based on how he fits into her desired aesthetic, feelings developing later, and I'll admit- they do have the spooky goth couple look down. I think the one that surprised me with how well it could work was Leon with Taka. Leon's volatility being shown as more performative, and in fact he uses his social fluency to hide his nervous need to be liked - it creates a compelling dynamic with Taka who cannot read a room to save his life, and wears his heart on his sleeve.

That is actually kind of adorable

Given Leon's over the top, dramatic personae - calling Makoto, as someone who totally understands him, his 'soulmate' fits well into his all or nothing style. No half measures with Leon Kuwata.

He kind of reminds me a lot of Klavier Gavin from Ace Attorney, although not a suave - they're both very outwardly loud and flashy; both drawn to the spectacle of being a rockstar, but are internally much softer and in need of reassurance from those around them than you might have thought.

fem!mondo and fem!taka are a blast to mess around with!

It'd be really interesting to see how someone goes about developing their relationship as women- A huge part of how Mondo presents and interacts with others is how he's tied his identity as a man to his reputation; his strength and pride as the leader of the Diamonds, and this is what has boiled over into his toxic masculinity. Approaching Mondo's crises and dated view of gender expectation from the lens of Mondo as feminine rather than masculine would be fascinating

@yaysof11037 [the pride comic!] In my main non-despair au I've got Mondo in my head as Bisexual, although takes his sweet time recognising his attraction to men as more than just 'admiration'. The pride comic however doesn't take place in that au, so although at first I was gonna have him with the Bi flag, I thought it might be more in line with the spirit of the comic if I left it open; so people could imagine what flag they wanted instead :) (lol I did actually mention it in the tags, but it's easily overlooked XD)

In my mind, I tend to see Takemichi as having a platonic found family style relationship with the Oowadas, basically like their 3rd unofficial brother- Mondo still being the youngest, but Takemichi as a sort of moderating, long suffering, middle sibling. I've mentioned in [here] (in the asks after the readmore) that I don't have anyone specific that I pair Daiya with. In my little non-despair au, he's somewhat of a permanent bachelor, and has only really had casual relationships previously.

I'll admit that Daiya and Michi isn't one I've seen before! Takemichi does have the briefest hint that he might not be traditionally heterosexual, so him nursing a crush on Daiya wouldn't be outside the realm of possibility. However, perhaps it's because we're introduced to Daiya through the lens of his little brother Mondo, I have to say that personally I can only really see Daiya as a sort of pseudo brother figure to the members of his gang.

Daiyakure is a pretty popular pairing, and it was a bit of a surprise to me when I first saw it! And whilst it's true they never meet in the games, I think people like to explore the sort of loose and wild dynamic they could have, and since there isn't an established interaction people can go crazy with it!

I definitely remember something about being surprised that said I wasn't too into romance in [this ask] (which I also linked above ^) I think the rest was about being jazzed for Hina/Taka interactions, perhaps from the [pride] comic?

yeah, that's very fair XD I was thinking in the grand scheme of all the shows I like, and found that there are very few canonical romantic pairings that I'm invested in, and the number of headcanon ones I have, I could count on one hand.

It's worth mentioning here that the only pairing I really personally ship in Dangan is Taka with Mondo. However! I'm happy to talk about any pairings as well as ones where Taka and Mondo aren't together, zero issue there! My brain just doesn't really connect the dots of any others without prompting. My internal relationship needle mostly points to platonic like a true North, unless I see something that catches my eye and it knocks it off course XD

Taka and Hina share so much boundless passionate energy, and a certain naivete - I love to see them form a close alliance!

This ask was asking since I drew Kaito and Maki as adopted siblings in the previously linked ask dump ^ and [this one], the query was something like 'Since you drew them as siblings I assume you don't ship Kaito and Maki?'

In the original ask someone said that they saw Kaito as Mondo and Taka's kid- but I thought out of the cast of V3 Maki was a better fit than Kaito, so for that one ask, I put them as adopted siblings! In my own opinion however, Kaito fits better as Hiro's son, and upon further reflection I think Maki suits Fuyuhiko and Pekoyama best! Which of course would definitely make them not siblings.

In terms of their actual dynamic in the game, Maki's slowly defrosting nature and subsequent unyielding loyalty toward Kaito seems to be implied to being equivalent to a blooming crush. Whereas Kaito's own notion of romance is more oblique. Is it requited? Unrequited? The game'll never tell! To my mind, I don't pair them romantically- rather I lean toward Maki perhaps having an initial unreturned crush on an oblivious Kaito, but what forms instead is a strong friendship.

This ask was something like 'what do you think of saimota?' I don't remember if there was anything more to it.

I can't quite get a bead on Shuichi as a character - he's mostly reactionary, with those around him being the instigating force on how he choses to act. He seems starved of friendship because of his quiet and nervous nature so a warm, energetic presence like Kaito or Kaede certainly has him come out of his shell (literally). Shuichi and Maki have some similar traits, as well as sharing their heroic adoration of Kaito. The game seems to point toward Maki's interest as romantic so it wouldn't be disingenuous to suggest that Shuichi's might be too.

❤ His brain will try to convince him that you are purposely 'ignoring' him out of malice. But that's just mental illness.

❤ Sometimes he'll talk slowly to you, speaking things out slowly, just like he does with Gonta.

❤ And the usual - "Uhh - hello?" that he lets out whenever he noticed you have gone off into that little la la land of yours.

❤ He'll calmly nudge you, raising his voice. And you have to blink rapidly to announce that you can actually hear him.

❤ Often you'll respond, eyes still locked in the same focused position (hard to break).

❤ And then he'll continue on the conversation like nothing had happened.

Hajime Hinata

❤ Emotions. He experiences a lot of them. Definitely. And you stir things inside of him.

❤ When he's in the middle of talking, you better fight off the urge to doze off because he will get offended and he will not hesitate to abruptly snap in front of your gaze.

❤ Of course, after startling you, he'll apologize.

❤ But he needs to feel special. Needs to feel important enough to have you not lose thoughts when being with him.

❤ It messes with his ego.

❤ If you want to flatter him, start writing down things you learn about him, so that when something comes up, you'll remember, and he'll be surprised.

❤ Doing that has gained you a lot of kisses.

❤ And it makes him feel better.

❤ In public, if you nod off, he'll just leave you standing there and just walk away.

HM!!!!!!!!! GOOD QUESTION;;

I mostly only have braincells for Kiyo and Angie so not a lot of my thoughts are straying from that unfortunately LMAO, I was able to branch off a bit answering this though so thank you for indirectly helping me develop more!!

But I like to think it's the same scenario as the second game where it was all just a simulation. I know what I fantasize about is a VR AU and that "postgame" tends to refer to the survivors but literally none of my favorites survived so reality can be whatever I want: postgame Shinnaga is so canon it's unreal!! I'm sure there's probably a VR fic for them somewhere out there in the world, I wouldn't know because I suck at reading fhdjfk, but I would love to write my own someday HEH

They'd all wake up one by one as they die and end up all in the same facility where they're taken care of by the Danganronpa team, unable to leave until they’re well again due to the contracts they signed prior to playing-- Meaning Angie wakes up, Tenko wakes up a few hours later, Kiyo another few hours later, etc. Angie jumps back pretty quick from things so she'd be already VERY excited to see Kiyo* after watching the trial, mostly because Angie like immediately caught onto what his sister really was to him (HINT: CONTROLLING AND AWFUL) and yelling at her screen saying "GOD WILL SMITE YOU ALL FOR PICKING ON THE WEAK" at everyone just calling him some incestuous freak during the trial. Angie does have genuinely incredible intuition (thanks god!) so she looks past the fact he murdered her Scarily Fast. Everyone would definitely mistrust and hate Angie even more as she tries to preach to them afterwards about Kiyo and how they need to forgive him since he’s a victim and God (most important opinion) already forgave him, but no one ever listened to her anyway especially postgame so it’s all in vain 😔

*whom might take a bit to wake up and fully acclimate again because...idk this man was boiled alive that's kinda Fucked I think all the executed would take longer to wake up because they went through more lengthy + traumatic deaths I guess? This just means even more time for Angie to sit on her thoughts about what happened to her+Kiyo yuh yuh

Everyone becomes a mix of their pregame selves and the identities they were given, they'd end up being mediocre/average (sometimes bad) at what their handpicked talent was but a lot of them still keep up doing it until they DO become good again. A very small amount of them try to replicate their killing game outfits and kinda live off the high of being what they once were and accomplished in their fake memories, like Miu and Himiko. (this also makes me think about Irumeno a bit more 👀) Pretty much every single one of them in pregame saw themselves as nothing, being disposable enough to be in a killing game (even if it turns out to be virtual), so the new identities would overpower the mix for the most part since they’re the more intensified and dramaticized personality--IF THAT MAKES ANY SENSE LOL.

--Angie absolutely never stopped her art and has a less intense view on Religion, since garnering more experiences in life she’s just be less intense in general I'd think; more open with her emotions in that she'd actually cry, but still very manic and bubbly and optimistic nonetheless. After getting help (mostly from Kiyo who deals with the same thing), Angie is able to differentiate her thoughts and desires from “God”’s thoughts and desires, YEA she still has a funky little friend in her head. She's not AS pushy especially not with her equally traumatized fellow killing game participants but she still absolutely gets her moments of intensity and assertiveness now and then if she thinks something God is telling her is absolute truth and for the betterment of everyone: she is still Angie afterall, truly believing everyone would be much happier with her God in their lives but having enough self-restraint to know everyone will just push her away further if she tries to help them in that regard. She has her moments of desperation but most everyone’s too far gone from her already.

--Korekiyo is such a complicated one--I do like to think of pregame Kiyo as transfem/nonbinary and that would partially stick into his postgame identity in some way...killing game Kiyo was Just A Dude but after becoming the mix of the two identities he'd be VERY confused, especially with the influence of his (simulated) sister's influence. (genderfluid time? :)) He'd have varying degrees of when his...sister...alter...thing...comes out, or is present in his head in any regard, she'd be gone or slowly disappearing from his mind for months at a time and he'd initially be extremely unstable about it because he feels extremely isolated and lost when he can’t talk to her, but he's got Angie by his side so he becomes significantly less stressed about it over time, learning to cope with it. Eventually he finds himself no longer dependent on sister and...has to learn a SECOND time to not be unhealthily dependent; on Angie this time. (funky little idea I’ve been wanting to draw/write about sometime...hnnrngm) They’re both miracle workers when it comes to each other’s mental health it’s kinda insane. Of course, after realizing that Sister never really existed, he harbors near-immediate guilt for having murdered Angie and Tenko once he’s alone with his thoughts, not being puppeteered by sister, realizing everything he ever did he did for HER and realizing how fucked it all was pretty quickly--he does crave interacting with his victims in a positive and healing light but he’s sort of traumatized by it all to the point he is TERRIFIED when they’re around him at first.

--Tenko ends up EVEN MORE protective and grudgeful after she wakes up, trying to shield everyone and everything from most of the blackened, absolutely makes Kiyo manage to feel like even worse shit when he's got 1 extremely supportive and loving woman he killed and 1 extremely spiteful woman he killed who might legitimately murder him in return if he’s not careful. Tenko never makes amends with Angie and becomes close with Himiko (who's close with Gonta despite Tenko's wishes (she hates him for killing Miu, local woman)), managing to keep Himiko far far away from Angie, not only for "stealing" Himiko in the Student Council but also for the fact Angie's glued to Kiyo's side--making her the second least trustworthy person to Tenko..

--Himiko is very traumatized after the game due to surviving all the way til the end, likely making her (along with Shuichi+Maki) very disillusioned and lost--unable to decipher anything from fiction or reality--it takes a long time for Himiko to really “accept” anything; tried to cling to both Tenko and Angie but ends up just stuck on Tenko, mourning the loss of her friendship with Angie while doing so. Himiko would probably be shoved away from Gonta at first as well, but Tenko felt a lot more confident in Gonta so after a long while of her aggressively trying to teach him manners and keeping an emotional deathgrip on him whenever he wants to interact with Himiko, they’d end up close friends again. Still thinking about Irumeno-- Also with the whole ~~Survivor Delusions~~ thing, I think that helps play into Himiko’s attachment and insistence to keep up her old magician identity, because she has a very hard time trying to tell what’s real n fake ykno, and it takes her a while to realize she doesn’t have her talent anymore; absolutely ending in tearful breakdowns and unending determination to find herself again by forcibly trying to improve and push herself to her limits.

For the most part Kiyo and Angie are outcasted from everyone else, a lot of that being due to Tenko's preaching but...also everyone just doesn't understand what actually happened to Kiyo and they are all deathly worried about Angie, but not enough to get themselves involved; they're scared of Angie too, afterall, not as much as they're scared of Kiyo but ykno-- They think her naivety and determination to “fix him” is going to get her murdered again, every day they’re just counting down the minutes until it happens again. (spoiler alert: it doesn’t)

I could ABSOLUTELY go off more but I really have to end this at some point so fhdsjkfds--

TLDR;; Angie (and God alter) forgive Kiyo almost immediately. Sister alter likes to disappear sometimes making Kiyo sad and unfortunately dependent on Angie. Both Kiyo + Angie help each other heal and recover from their issues. Tenko hates both Kiyo + Angie with a passion and protectively forbids Himiko from seeing either of them. Himiko is close friends with Tenko and Gonta and Maybe More with Miu.

Ants are pretty interesting lol

They couldn’t specifically remember where they gained their love for ants, but they did know that studying ants was one of their favorite things to do, ever since they were little.

Their ant farm was very well taken care of because of their love for ants. They tend to spend a lot of time just watching the ants do their thing in the big farm they put together.

A lot of their classmates know that they talk a lot about their research into ants, and also that they can be a bit mean to people who are outright about not liking ants.

Apart from all of that, they do like making friends almost as much as they like their research. Their friends are some of the most important people to them, and they won’t stand for anyone being mean to them.

Honestly, they don’t know why more people aren’t as interested in ants as they are. There’s so much that’s interesting about them that they’re legitimately one of the best insects to study.

- i am quite sensitive, i get angry / cry easily, and i get really bored too. Making me annoyed and watching things even though i already know what's gonna happen, so i really enjoy things thats really unexpected

- i usually stay up at night, because of my vivid imagination. I despise Horror movies, but i still watch them as a guilty-pleasure sort of thing.

- i write, draw, and edit. And i play games alot, but i end up getting bored of them. Leaving them but getting back to it a couple of months later.

- i am ambivert, i talk alot but i stutter alot, Since i'm not good with words, i am quiet with people i don't know yet.. Kokichi Ouma

Even if it may be fake sometimes Kokichi can be seen angry and crying often, expecially shown in Gonta's trial. He can tend to get annoyed easily with others "stupidity" and other things in a sense like shown with Kaito Momota or Gonta Gokuhara. He also tends to get annoyed in "boring situations" like if he already knows how somethings going to play out or if he straight up just gets tired of said thing or situation. Kokichi is more of a stubborn person as well, usually trying to make things play out how he wants it too. Due to all his planning that was later revealed in yhe game I feel as if he'd be one to stay up later throughout the night. He also may have a slight thing for drawing as there was a small doodle on the whiteboard in his dorm room. He also enjoys playing games as showin in his free time events with Shuichi Saihara. While it might not seem like it he was trying to help the group in the long run and viewed them as friends, even sacrificing himself in the end for them. He tends to act like he doesn't care what other's think of him or how he lost somewhat of a friendship he gained with Shuichi Saihara, though in the end it did quite upset him.

Mikan Tsumiki

Like you Mikan is more on the sensitive side and can sometimes be quick to tears and even apologize. I imagine due to her being the ultimate nurse there were sometimes she had to stay up later due to it. Mikan also stutters over her words quite often and is especially quiet when not knowing a person. Once again due to her ultimate she is quick to try and help others if she can. She's also pretty clumsy too shown in the game with her falling various times, so like you she may end up breaking a thing or two. She also tends to be quick to embarrassment. Like you I feel like Mikan would she the beauty in things other people might consider "ugly" due to going through a lot in the past.

Mahiru Koizumi

Mahiru in my opinion is definitely more ambiverted if anything. It can also be quite easy to make her annoyed sometimes. Like you when you say you edit it could relate to Mahiru in some way since she is a photographer and may or may not edit photos once in a while. Mahiru also doesn't strike me as a person to randomly start up conversation unless she knows the person. She can also be stubborn at times and even get embarrased when you point things out to her if I remember correctly. She can also tend to come off rude or apathetic not really tolerating people who are rude towards her. She also states "she gets bored of taking pictures of guys" which could relate to you're boredom in some ways. She also likes to try and help others out if she can like shown with Hiyoko Saionji.

(also added some additional details on their character designs :D) I already made a character guide of the kids here, but after writing a spontaneously updated fanfic about their school/dorm life, I now have a better grasp of how to portray them in this AU. More under the cut~

The HPA AU comics I’ve been doing admittedly focused more on certain characters, so I’ve hardly thought about how to flesh out the others. To remedy that, I wrote a chatfic that revolved around them as a class and what started as something ‘just for fun’ turned into something a bit more serious, complete with plot and drama (which is strange for something in a chatfic format lol).

Kaede Akamatsu: The cheerful, charismatic and kind pianoholic who promotes friendship and cooperation, earning her the position of Class Representative. Selfless and empathetic to a fault, but can be quite pushy and bossy. Behind her confident facade, Kaede is insecure of not being able to live up to her responsibilities believing that all she’s ever good at is playing the piano, going by a ‘fake it til you make it’ attitude so as not to disappoint the people that relied on her ‘leadership.’ She has a tendency to be tactless towards people when very annoyed or under extreme stress.

Add: While not a very good cook, Kaede is an experienced baker.

Closest friend/s: Shuichi (childhood best friend), Rantaro, Kaito, Maki, Kirumi, Tenko (she is at least good friends with everyone in class tho)

Shuichi Saihara: The meek and soft-spoken detective in training who eventually fills the role of assistant class rep to Kaede. Cool-headed and intelligent, Shuichi shows promise of being proactive and responsible, but has difficulty in asserting himself due to confidence issues. He can be very emotional, prone to easily cry when overwhelmed by negative emotions. He also struggles with depression at times, although he tries to hide it as best he could. To people he is close with, Shuichi can be quite sassy and would joke about his ‘emo aesthetic.’

(When Shuichi wore his hat, his necktie is the standard red one)

Add: Shuichi is an avid fan of all things detective (looks up to Kyoko Kirigiri, has a sizable collection of Nancy Drew Books and Detective Conan Manga, retweets a lot of Sherlock Holmes quotes etc.)

Closest friend/s: Kaede (childhood best friend), Kaito, Maki, Kokichi, Kiibo

Kokichi Ouma: The self proclaimed supreme leader, he is a compulsive liar and prankster, fond of being disruptive and annoying towards his peers. While he tends to lie a lot, it’s not as outrageous and over the top (like in-game), and he would never push the buttons of anyone who was already distressed. Behind his outward unpleasantness, Kokichi cares a lot about his classmates, often calling them out on their bad habits (albeit it’s also in an unpleasant way) and looking out for them in his own unique way (which is subtle, at most). He dreads showing this side of him to class 79, as this was a sign of attachment on his part and this was only reserved to D.I.C.E members initially.

Add: Kokichi doesn’t know how to dance.

Closest friend/s: Rantaro, Shuichi

Maki Harukawa: The surly, unapproachable ‘assassin’ who is the walking definition of a tsundere. She dislikes socializing with her classmates, mostly because of her inability for small talk and difficulty to relate with her peer group as she spent most of her time dealing with children (in the orphanage). Maki is blunt but not unkind, and may be occasionally dismissive but (secretly) greatly appreciates those who reach out to her. Being emotional is Maki’s greatest pet peeve, making her great at compartmentalizing and repressing her emotions.

Add: Maki was physically conditioned and trained to be an assassin but it was for her to be Motion Capture stunt girl for an assassin-centric game. Has not killed anyone in real life, but physically can if desired.

Closest friend/s: Kaito, Shuichi, Kaede

Kaito Momota: The loud-mouthed and passionate astronaut who likes to give pep talks more than Kaede. Kaito pretty much keeps the class lively with his dumb antics. Despite his air of stupidity, he is quite street smart and a good judge of character. He has patriarchal views on gender roles, naturally irking most of his female peers. Additionally, he is hot-headed, stubborn and very competitive. True to his very upbeat and positive persona though, he dislikes showing weakness/ appearing weak. Kaito suffers from Tuberculosis, hence he coughs a lot.

Add: Kaito makes the best omelettes.

Closest friend/s: Maki, Shuichi, Kaede, Ryoma (one-sided)

Rantaro Amami: The lax and enigmatic adventurer who likes to meme, apart from traveling the world. Rantaro has a big brother vibe to him, but can be quite silly at times. He is fond of recounting experiences about his travels, often retelling them in a more imaginative version. Despite his nonchalant approach on everything, Rantaro is very particular on people’s perspective of him. He craves to be an important figure among his classmates, just like his central role on his siblings’ lives.

Add: Rantaro has a Youtube channel where he makes travel vlogs in the style of Bear Grylls’ Man VS Wild.

Closest friend/s: Tsumugi (middle school bestfriend), Kokichi, Kaede, Kiibo, Korekiyo

Kirumi Tojo: The responsible and mature maid with a strict adherence to her creed on selfless devotion. Kirumi is very capable of doing any (reasonable) task given to her, completing them with practiced efficiency. Taking her talent more seriously, she appears impassive and mechanical to her classmates. Her maid schtick is actually a conscious effort for her; beneath the carefully-maintained frigid and collected persona is a shy and anxious Kirumi with personal whims and ambitions. She has a sense of humor and would sometimes tease her classmates in some way or another (which always takes them by surprise). She can be quite condescending and judgmental when pushed to the limit.

Add: Kirumi is a closet bookworm, and has a collection of cheesy, young adult romance novels (may or may not own some raunchy ones).

Closest friend/s: Ryoma, Kaede

Korekiyo Shinguji: The studious and aloof anthropologist who revels in the beauty of humanity. Kiyo likes to observe people, mentally taking note of the intricacies of human nature, although this hobby of his isn’t taken kindly by some. Ambitious and resourceful, he spends a lot of time reading to further his knowledge. In turn, he is quite socially inept and often scares away any ‘potential friend’ with his intelligent ramblings. He is very close with his sickly older sister, but gets annoyed with her fussiness.

Add: He is a capable illustrator, often adding sketches on his journal of anthropological notes.

Closest friend/s: Rantaro, Gonta, Angie

Tsumugi Shirogane: The quirky cosplayer and talented seamstress with a habit of referencing popular and obscure pop culture stuff. Tsumugi is an avid fan of a lot media, from games to animes to TV shows, both western and japanese, often spending most of her time in her room to indulge in her fandoms. She also has a tendency to break the fourth wall and would reference the ‘NDRV3 canon universe.’ Tsumugi is quite insecure of her geeky side, and is a bag of nerves when under the spotlight. She is cowardly and unable to stand her ground, often playing for both sides in an argument in an effort to please both.

(the only one wearing the HPA uniform without modifications lol)

Add: She is a big fan of Junko Enoshima (a fashion blogger with her own brand of clothing).

Closest friend/s: Rantaro (middle school bestfriend)

Ryoma Hoshi: The stoic and detached Pro Tennis player who is very fond of felines. Ryoma likes to spend most of his time alone and would often disappear to god knows where. He is responsive when in conversation, talking in a melancholic tone. He is profound and insightful, open to giving advice freely to those in need. While very patient, he is vindictive and unforgiving to those who wronged him horribly. His whole family was murdered by a mafia group (leaving him with just the family cat) and he has since personally chased leads that will bring the perpetrators to justice. Despite his pursuit of the killers, he is not interested in delivering justice on his own and merely conducted his own investigation to aid law enforcement.

Add: Ryoma has a folder of cat game apps on his phone, his favorite in particular being Neko Atsume.

Closest friend/s: Kirumi, Gonta

Gonta Gokuhara: The gentle giant with a fascination on animals, particularly insects. Gonta is good-natured (very kind, polite and honest) but naive and childish. In spite of this, he cannot be easily tricked by Kokichi and would sometimes even join in on roasting him. He wants to be a gentleman and really tries his best to exhibit qualities of such. While not academically smart (being raised in the wild), he has extensive knowledge on flora and fauna. Gonta has bouts of self-doubt, believing himself to be incapable of anything. He can be very hard on himself and would do reckless things to prove himself.

Add: Contrary to most of his classmates’ impression on him, Gonta is not technologically challenged. He plays Overwatch in his free time (he mains Bastion).

Close friend/s: Ryoma, Korekiyo

Miu Iruma: The lewd and brash inventor with onion skin. Miu is outspoken and campy, often considered obnoxious by her classmates. She likes to make dirty jokes and projects an air of self-importance, but is also quick to deflate when reprimanded or talked back at. Being neglected her whole life, Miu wants attention, hence her over the top personality but this in turn made her a deplorable person. She spends most of her time building knickknacks to stave off the loneliness she feels. Over time, she does try to be less of a difficult person.

Add: Miu doesn’t know how to swim or ride a bike (but she can invent something that will keep her afloat on water and something that can keep her balanced on the bike).

Close friend/s: Kiibo

Kiibo Idabashi (not a Robot): The well-meaning and pacifistic Robotics Engineer that has a difficulty in relating with his fellow humans. Kiibo has lived a very sheltered life and has not been exposed to any social interaction with his age group prior to his enrollment at Hope’s Peak, making him quite stiff and robotic. He is very shy and apprehensive at speaking in class or called to recitation. He is also wimpy, but can get very defensive of his robotic creations.

Add: Kiibo missed out a lot on his childhood, so class 79 would often indulge him on what he was deprived of (like having pizza, playing tag and watching animated films).

Close friend/s: Miu, Shuichi, Rantaro

Tenko Chabashira: The energetic and cheerful aikido master who loves to defend girls from the degenerate MENaces. Tenko loves to be active, often encouraging the girls to exercise (especially those with a sedentary lifestlye). A fiery character, she wears her emotions on her sleeves and reacts strongly on impulse. She has a on a hair trigger temper, especially if the aggressor involves a guy and has a tendency to be physically violent. Tenko’s distaste towards men in general stems from a dark past: she and her mother suffered abuse from her own father. Her mother was eventually murdered by her father in front of her (at a young age) and after her father was subsequently locked up, she was taken in by her mother’s friend who was matriarchal.

Add: She is an adept shogi and chess player.

Close friend/s: Himiko, Angie, Kaede

Himiko Yumeno: The resident sloth who also happens to be a magician (er… mage). Himiko is very lethargic, dislikes doing almost any physical activity, often trying to weasel her way out of doing assigned tasks and the like. She isn’t dismissive of social interaction though, and is quite talkative when you start a conversation with her. She loves to watch youtube videos and web series, particularly korean drama. She is good at math, and would tutor Angie and Tenko when pestered enough.

Add: Himiko is ambidextrous, and can seamlessly use chopsticks with her left hand.

Close friend/s: Tenko, Angie

Angie Yonaga: The eccentric and bubbly artist with a deep devotion to an obscure religion. Angie is a pious devotee of Atua, and is willing to provide for the spiritual needs of her classmates. She loves mentioning unusual habits and customs from her island home, such as blood sacrifices and orgies. Hardly anything fazes her, this nonchalance and ignorance being considered sinister by some of her peers. Even with the best intentions in mind, she sometimes used religion to get what she wanted.

Add: Angie owns four horses (named War, Famine, Pestilence and Death) that Hope’s Peak allowed her to keep in school (for some reason). Their stables were located at the student/staff parking lot.

Close friend/s: Korekiyo, Tenko, Himiko

Great Gozu: The former Ultimate Wrestler is now the homeroom teacher of Class 79A. Despite his intimidating physique, he is gentle, patient and very supportive. He becomes quickly attached to class 79A and is quite protective of them.

And now for the romantic relationships~ (I inadvertently retconned some stuff from the HPA AU comics in the fanfic version apparently, I’m not very good at slow burn lol)

Kaede//Kirumi: Both of them are altruistic, though one is out of pure selflessness while the other due to moral obligation. Kaede is the first to develop a crush on the other, mostly out of physical attraction but it’s Kirumi that first falls in love between the two of them. Kirumi is mostly drawn to Kaede’s comforting presence and empathic nature, and is impressed with the pianist’s diligence in perfecting her musical craft. Kaede admires the maid’s dedicated work ethic, and is very enamored with Kirumi’s elegance and grace. Kaede’s considerate nature holds her back from pursuing Kirumi head-on out of respect for the maid’s seemingly unshakeable adherence to her creed of selfless devotion, while Kirumi struggles internally in balancing her whims and sticking to her creed. This results in them tiptoeing around their feelings towards each other.

Shuichi//Kokichi: One lies while the other exposes the truth. Kokichi, despite his growing interest on the detective, denies his feelings. Shuichi, initially unconfident about his chances with the supreme leader, takes the leap and reveals his feelings first. Kokichi is drawn to Shuichi’s intelligence, good-natured personality and cute face (and he may or may not have a detective kink). Shuichi is drawn to Kokichi’s complex personality, considering it a mystery puzzle only he could solve. Both Kokichi and Shuichi suffer from insecurities that the other deserve better than themselves; Kokichi believes Shuichi wouldn’t fall for him because of his complicated personality while Shuichi thinks Kokichi was in love with the more appealing Kaito, somewhat resigned he has no chance.

Kaito//Maki: Polar opposites and yet both hide the same thing; one relies on outward emotion to hide a weakness while the other represses emotion to hide a weakness. Kaito is greatly drawn to Maki’s independent and capable mindset but struggles with his own sexist mindset. Maki falls for Kaito’s endearing personality, but struggles to make sense of her romantic feelings. Eventually, they both overcome their weaknesses. Maki is the first to fall for the other, and while she is also the one to confess her feelings first, it was Kaito who first changed his ways, learning to be less sexist. Maki avoids Kaito when her feelings toward him intensified, but this unfazed the astronaut and remained wooing her consistently.

Tenko//Himiko: Polar opposites that balance each other out. Tenko and Himiko may have been the first pair to be immediately drawn to each other but they are the last pair to be officially together. Tenko’s more active lifestyle gets Himiko to reconsider her lethargic nature while Himiko’s relaxed attitude grounds Tenko’s overactive nature. Tenko was drawn to Himiko from the get-go, and while the smaller girl was initially annoyed by the aikido master being insistent, she eventually warms up to her. They subsequently act like girlfriends, but surprisingly their ‘official’ get together doesn’t happen til later.

Hi, this is the person who put up the confession, thank you for the explanation! I still have a few problems though- by the empathy I did somewhat mean the FTEs as he seemed more empathic in the class trials. And also the instance where he showed more concern over Kokichi's getting cut than his head injury , though there was an investigation going on and he brushed it off, so that's kind of ok.

If I'm being honest with you, I, most of the times, ignore posts like that, because lots of fans tend to express their opinions in a very harsh way, so well, I really don't want to destroy my fun times in fandom by arguing about something like that; but anon, you're good, you have my uwus because you actually made a fun discussion without any hate or negativity. You just shared your takes and that's respectful. I hope I didn't sound bad though xD

Anyway, let's back to the main topic. Now you explain it more, I understand your points better.

Okay, you're saying that Shuichi is more empathetic in trials than in the FTEs... that's kind of right.

As we understand from Shuichi's FTE [in chapter 1]:

Or kaede mentioned in his report card: "...being sympathetic is like how he and his uncle." When It comes to his use of talent, he is always being sympathetic toward others. I mean even in his backstory, he was being sympathetic toward the killer, this is why he was suffering from the consequences of his actions [although the people's opinion about the situation seemed to bother him as well]

But FTEs are less serious situation for him According to his profile from the last post, he's more determined when it comes to using his talent. Although I wouldn't say he never tried in understand his classmates in FTEs, he pretty much did, but he wasn't as gentle he actually was in trials [like Ch4 trial with Gonta], he tried to fix them help them but in a more forceful way [like Ryoma, Rantaro or Gonta's], Free time events aren't stressful as trials, I feel it actually makes sense for him to be more gentle toward his classmates because how stressful the trials are for them, and trials aren't even the right place to fix his classmates in a forceful way.

But about the Kokichi thing, your point is valid and it's really up to you how to feel about it; but in animes overall, when something is solely for lolz, is always overlooked by the characters, because lots of the times the writer believes that they would destroy that funny scene by having characters react in a negative way. It's the same with Hiyoko bullying Mikan and no one really reacting to it, because it was for lolz and we shouldn't take it seriously... unfortunately, I see Kokichi's case is the same, Shuichi and Maki didn't react to it so much because we were supposed to laugh at it. Is it annoying? Yes it is. Do I hate it? Yes I do. You're valid for having any opinions about it anon.

About passivity, I would say I can explain why he didn't do much in chapter 2,3 and 5. His actions in chapter 1 led Kaede to commit a murder, and he was in his lowest in chapter 2, he began to become better with Kaito's support. And in chapter 5, Kaito told them that he had a plan and everyone relied on him. Chapter 4 you say? Yes, that really didn't make sense for him to feel guilty about doing nothing and do nothing [I hope I made sense lol], I bothered by it as well anon-san. I feel they didn't want Shuichi to steal other characters' screen time.

Non killing game gofer is still fucking depressing as hell. Like. Kaito's going to kneel over some way or another and others could only watch as he slowly succumbs to death; and even then, all of earth is dead and there might not be a suitable planet anywhere.

I originally saw this ask a few days ago during dinner, completely spaced out as I contemplated the sadness of it all, and then had to be brought back to attention by my friends lmao

N-Not to mention the fact that you can’t… really… repopulate with just 16 people? Or, uh, 15 people? ……. 14, once you take K1-b0 and Kaito out of the equation? I think I’ve linked it before but the conservative number was 80. 80!!!! This whole thing was doomed from the start, never mind actually finding a suitable planet.

anyway yeah, no nurses or doctors among them unless Kirumi can also pull a medical degree out from her magic endless bag of maid tricks, and you know what got me even worse than that?

I don’t know if he’d have anyone close to him as he deteriorated.

Think about it. How did he get close to Shuichi? To Maki? The catalyst for Shuichi was Kaede’s death - he punched Shuichi, felt awful about it, went to him the next day and basically took him under his wing as his way of apologizing. Kaede’s living in this AU, so there’s nothing to pry him from Kaede’s side - at least not fast enough before he starts feeling the symptoms of the disease.

And Maki? Well sure, part of it was persistence - but the other part was him going out of his way to defend her during the second trial. There won’t be a similar situation during this trip, so there’s literally no reason for Maki to indulge his persistence this time around.

The only thing that gives me any comfort is that maybe, possibly, Kokichi, Ryoma and Gonta * ** could step in forward in their place. Gonta is an obvious one - he’s incredibly caring and if I remember correctly, he even hints at the idea that he would love to hang out with Kaito, but didn’t want to bother him. The idea of Gonta caring for Kaito really warms my heart. Ryoma is definitely a bit of a wild card, but if I’m right in my understanding of him, he’s the sort of guy who, while he’ll push you away to wallow in his own loneliness, will be quietly by your side in the worst of times and try and ease your mental burdens. Maybe?? I can imagine Kaito bugging him a lot in the first week or so because of how he idealized Ryoma in middle school, and then when he suddenly stops in the next week or so Ryoma will clue in to something being off and checking in on him. Someone made the comparison of Ryoma and cats (pointing out that he loves Russian Blues, and now I can’t unsee it in his hat lol) and there’s a stereotype of cats being standoffish when you approach them, but coming to you when you’re in a bad way - so, you know. I’d like to think I’m on the right track here.

And Kokichi gets his own paragraph because of course he does. He’s the nuisance who would bust Kaito’s door down at the most inopportune time (with Gonta’s help of course) and considering he was the one that figured out what was going on in the game/revealing it to everyone, I’m sure the same would happen here. You know he’d say something like, “Wooooow, you sure look terrible! Are you trying to ruin my Supreme Leader image by going off and dying on your own, like you’re some run-of-the-mill henchman? As if I’m going to let you off so easily! Gonta! Grab him and don’t let him escape!”

Cue a confused but incredibly worried Gonta manhandling a protesting, very pale Kaito out of his room where Kokichi gets the (as he puts it) ‘pleasure of exposing Kaito’s weakness in front of everyone’, aka getting Kaito the help his stubborn ass needs and damn it, at least some comfort before the end.

… Okay still incredibly depressing, but a-at least there’s the potential of a bittersweet ending???

* maybe Rantaro and Kirumi too - problem is I don’t know much about Rantaro. Kirumi may at least act in the ‘keep everyone well’ duty she would ascribe to herself.

** I actually had Kaede on the list as well, but then I remembered that while she seemed to have a decent back-and-forth with him, she tended to rebuff him a lot as well; I’d have to do their FTEs, but there’s a chance that would carry over to this timeline. Remembering the amount of time is going to be important too - he’s got maybe two weeks tops (I’m giving him a few extra days because I imagine the stress of the situation exacerbated the illness) before he starts coughing and weakening, and at that point he’ll start withdrawing from everyone. While I’m sure Kaede would reach out to him eventually as they got to know each other better, I don’t think she would reach out quickly enough without outside prompting.

Let’s see… I’m fine with any of the games but if I need to be specific then NDRV3 please!

Girl, 5'10", questioning bi (definitely into guys. Still trying to figure out girls). I wear glasses. Which have a habit of falling down off my face…

INFP. I have trouble talking to people. Especially if it’s my first time meeting them. I tend to keep to myself and can sometimes seem a bit standoffish. I don’t mean to be rude or anything and I tend to apologize if I realize what I said seemed rude. Though I tend to apologize too much. I like when people are happy.

Once I start putting my walls down though? I’m almost the opposite. I tend to be much more talkative and wanting to hang out more. Though only with the person I let my walls down for of course. But sometimes I relapse. I’ll worry about annoying them and pull away for a while.

I like animals. Especially cats, tigers, frogs and anything fluffy. I really enjoy playing video games (except shooters cause I have horrible aim). I’m more used to playing by myself though so I won’t try and make someone play with me if they don’t want to. I also enjoy anime, manga and animated movies. Also bike riding. But only in places that don’t have too many big dogs running around.

I have a soft spot for cute things. And I like the idea of being pretty. Like, wearing a nice dress and just… feeling like a princess for a moment… But, well, it wouldn’t work.

I have low self-confidence, self-esteem, self-worth, self-whatever-else-I-made-have-missed. Plus depression and anxiety. But I am getting help. Even if it is slow going.

I’ve been hurt before. I tend to hide parts of myself that I think people won’t like (the therapy, the video games and manga, etc). To try and make sure I won’t give them another reason to hurt me. But again, you bring down the walls and that goes all out the window.

As you can see I have a bad habit of rambling. A lot. A lot a lot.

Omg this is like, a year late. I’m so sorry, like really, I am. I started wondering if I should close down the blog or something because I haven’t been able to accept requests since I first opened the blog, which was like a year ago, and this blogs probably dead but a promise is a promise and I’ll answer all of your matchup requests even if it’s the last thing I do. I’m not even sure if you are still into the fandom friend, but even then I still hope this matchup is of your enjoyment, even though the wait was probably not worth it :’).

(No, it’s not because of your avatar image I promise lol) Who’s the perfect partner for a princess? A gentleman of course! And who is more of a gentleman than Gonta? Gonta is not one to shy away from trying to make friends, so despite your initial standoffish attitude or apologetic nature, he would very much take a liking to you and try to befriend you despite it seeming as if you don’t want to. After managing to ease yourself around him, you’d find out how much in common you guys actually have. First and foremost, you both really like animals, which could serve as a great bonding element between the two of you. Though you both have affinities for different types of animals, introducing each other to the others preferred animal types could also strengthen and expand your love for all animals. Your talkative nature and rambling tendencies I believe would also be very much welcomed by Gonta as someone who is very curious and wants to know about different subjects. I think he’d also be very intrigued by your interests as well, such as manga and video games, due to his lack of cultural and technological knowledge. Gonta is also no stranger to low self-esteem and all of what it’s accompanied with. Perhaps he would not understand why exactly you feel this way, because in his eyes you are perfectly fine, but because he knows these feelings very well, he’d be very much a supportive companion. Depression and anxiety he may not be as easily comprehended by him, so his efforts at helping you at first may seem a bit fruitless, he might even get frustrated at himself for this, but this does not mean he isn’t willing to learn and familiarize himself with such topics to help you out. Just as he’s someone who is willing to support you along the way, you’d also be someone able to support him. Your more “mediator” nature would be very beneficial for him at times when he experiences fits of anger, as you’d be able to easily soothe him down, as well as avoid these types of incidents as well. Someone with a more open-minded and forgiving nature would also be best for Gonta, as he needs someone who can empathize with him and understand him. You both overall share some of the same values as well, preferring peace and harmony over chaos and conflict, which would be an overarching element that reinforces your bond.

Gonta first approached you due to the close interaction he saw you having with animals

Afterwards you and him naturally grew closer together

Most of your dates consist of either visiting zoo’s, insectariums or parks where you can get to take bike rides and maybe spot a few small doggos and birbs or other animals (he’ll protect you if there any big and rowdy doggos tho)

You often change depending on the day on who is the big spoon and small spoon, though he’ll often be the big spoon because he is protective of you

The old glasses switcheroo, where you just sort of exchange glasses for the sake of it, shenanigans always ensue

Will buy you a t o n of dresses, jewelry and girly cute stuff since you are his princess and he’s your gentleman

Might at times even feel not enough of a gentleman for you, cause you are literally perfect in his eyes, but you always assure him he is alright the way he is

Also, you bet you are going to buy a pet together at some point, it’s only a matter of time

He is quite fond of playing video games with you, though he often isn’t very good at them. You still have quite a blast.

It’s become sort of a tradition you introducing him to a new anime or manga. He especially loves Studio Ghibli movies

Whenever you feel bad, he’ll become very gentle with you, getting you a blanket if you need one, a glass of water, something to eat and never leaving your side till you feel better

He gets confused at first as to why you become distant at times, and might even start to think it was something it regards to him, but he later comes to know you just need your space and understands it

Same case with depression and anxiety, he might not understand them at first, but trust me he will study everything he can to understand and help you through it

1. What’s the maximum amount of time your character can sit still with nothing to do?

Teima - A couple of hours I guess? She might just nap or enjoy nature, she doesn’t need to be ‘busy’ all the time.Lakuna - About 5 seconds lol. Hiveakans are trained to be patient, but she’s a very busy lady so she’d rather not waste time.Oreisaka - With so many sisters, she’s never actually had the opportunity to find out lol. But she’s quite patient like Teima, so probably a couple of hours.Lanka - If she isn’t training she’s falling behind! No breaks unless absolutely necessary!

2. How easy is it for your character to laugh?

Teima - Very!Lakuna - She finds it relatively easy to laugh at the misfortune of others... but she doesn’t laugh out loud, it’s more of a snigger.Oreisaka - Very. Except for a couple of tragic events, her childhood was generally happy.Lanka - Anaka sometimes makes her laugh... Lanka doesn’t socialise much so she doesn’t get to laugh very often, but if she’s with people she doesn’t hate they can usually entertain her.

3. How do they put themselves to bed at night (reading, singing, thinking?)

Teima - Reading, or watching something. If Taka comes to bed with her she likes to fall asleep in his arms, but fairly often he leaves her to sleep alone.Lakuna - Usually she just goes to sleep when she’s too tired to stay awake, so she falls asleep pretty easily. Occasionally she struggles to sleep because she’s thinking about things, but generally she’s asleep within a few minutes.Oreisaka - Thinking about nice things.Lanka - Aside from compulsory social events, she still lives the Hive lifestyle of strict training regimes and pushing your body to the max, so she’s able to sleep on command, when she thinks it’s absolutely necessary.

4. How easy is it to earn their trust?

Teima - Very. Trust is her default state.Lakuna - Difficult-ish. She’s more likely to trust Outsiders because she doesn’t think they’re cunning enough to betray her, but she won’t trust anybody right away.Oreisaka - She trusts Outsiders easily, but is wary of Hiveakans. She trusts Mokoto though because he’s her baby brother and she hasn’t seen a bad side to him yet, and she’s a little too naive to think a new graduate would have one (despite being warned by her sisters...)Lanka - Doesn’t trust anybody. Even with people she likes and is close to, she’s always slightly cautious. Even if she does feel comfortable with someone and knows she can probably trust them, a small part of her just never lets her guard down.

5. How easy is it to earn their mistrust?

Teima - Quite difficult, because she believes in second chances and tries to see the good in people.Lakuna - Fairly easy. Once somebody betrays her, she knows they’re capable of betrayal and she tends to hold grudges. Even if she and the person resolve it and can learn to get along, she’ll always be wary of them after trust is broken.Oreisaka - Easier for Hiveakans, because she’s cautious about them to begin with. She’s quite naive though and would probably give a second chance to someone who doesn’t deserve it.Lanka - Mistrust is her default state.

41. How do they feel about children?

Teima - Loves them.Lakuna - She’s fond of Gonta, Tomakoto and Lusi, but she doesn’t like other people’s children. She’s not very maternal and would find them annoying, or at the very least boring. Oreisaka - She hasn’t really had much experience with children so she’s a little awkward around them, but she thinks they’re cute and is fond of them when she sees them. She would like to see more of her younger cousin Nomizon.Lanka - Thinks they serve a purpose, as heirs. Beyond that she doesn’t really see the point of them, and she doesn’t think they are things to be loved. Protected and taught, yes. Loved or enjoyed, no.

43.If someone asked them to explain their sexuality, how would they do so?

Teima - She would say she’s straight, but she doesn’t think it matters what you are as long as you love each other :)Lakuna - Straight, fortunately. She needs to make heirs, and that would probably be a lot harder for her if she were gay.Oreisaka - She thinks she’s straight, but she’s never been in love, so... who knows?Lanka - “I’m bi, but it wouldn’t matter even if I was gay. I want to be queen. Queens need heirs. If I have to fuck a man, being a lesbian wouldn’t stop me. I’ve been through worse in the Hive.” (she does actually prefer women, but probably wouldn’t think to mention that right away)
