Impatience
X reader, implied feminine, no pronouns or gendered descriptions, no specifically named canon character either.
Technically SFW - but it’s gonna raise your heart rate a little.
You’re so certain he’s going to rip the clothes from your body. The tension had been building for hours as obligations had kept you both within sight of the world. His grip on your arm never once hurt, but the desire twitched at his fingertips.
You could hear impatience slicing sharply against his tone despite his efforts to maintain his composure.
His steps are hurried down the hall to your shared quarters, but he never steps fast enough to rush you. He kept his eyes ahead the entire time, pushing open the door and herding you almost gently inside.
The click of the latch was a sweet prelude to the heavy clunk of the lock.
You kept your back to him, stepping slowly into the room. There was nothing more to say, your words had been the prompt for this event in the first place and you needn’t add to his fire right now.
A gloved hand at your wrist, another at your shoulder, slipping softly up the curve of your neck and sweetly against your jaw. The heat of his breath against your other shoulder holds you still and his hands move away.
Button, by button.
One by one.
Slowly he releases each delicate clasp from the tailored loop of silk that holds it in place. He says nothing, his lips just out of reach of your neck, his presence keeping you still and silent in return.
The beat of your heart is deafening against the soft melody of fabrics sliding against one another.
Your dress pools at your hips and he leaves it for the moment, fingers deftly undoing the knot of your corset. He pulls the lace slowly until the final twine comes undone. The abrupt release is like a shot and he grabs the corset with force, peeling it open and giving no concern to the sounds as lace and eyelets ripped and scatter.
His hands are heavy against your body, fingers exploring all but the most forbidden places, gloves and underclothes still separating your skin from his. His body is taut against your back, control straining under the desire that coils beneath it all.
“Say it again,” he husks the words, nearly snarled and yet so carefully whispered in your ear. “What you said to start this, say it again.”
You smile, the words coming to you easily. He’d just shredded a man verbally at the beginning of the party. There was had been no mercy nor room for recovery and the fellow had been forced to leave right there.
“If only you would tear me apart so completely, my lord.”

ʚ flame emperor sabo ɞ
↷ the bright rays of the golden sun forced sabo to wake up from his slumber, totally against his will. he just came back from a three-week mission yesterday, and couldn't wait to spend at least two days by your side without interference. his soft fingertips, protected from the roughness of his mission by the thick leather gloves, caressed the skin along your spine. you were still heavily asleep, face pressed against his naked chest, your warm breath fanning across his skin. you looked beautiful, so peaceful, so different from what kind of moments and things sabo has seen in the past weeks. or better, his entire life since dragon pulled him out of the water. sabo wanted to become the perfect chief of staff, training and working harder than anybody else to keep his position, to make his savior proud. hell, most of his actions were way too risky to be acceptable. but the nobleborn man did not care about his own life as long as the revolutionary army could change the slightest thing in the world, he would be satisfied. until you popped up, your presence stepped in his sight and scolded him for being so careless about his own life.
↷ that night, sabo had to ask you out on a date. he didn’t have much time but he would definitely give you the couple of hours he had off. the sun rays cascaded hues of gold across your unblemished skin the day he took you to a fancy restaurant — confronted with the same image right now, sabo could not stop the trail of memories embedded in his mind. you infiltrated any given space, intoxicated him, and lured him into a paradise. like a siren but with love and a happy ending to it. your body jerked away from his touch ever so slightly when his fingertips grazed over and around your hipbone. a silenced chuckle left his mouth, remembering exactly the night you slept in his room and bed for the first time. oh, your trembling body made it difficult to cuddle properly, the sudden waves of anxiety always pulling you away from sabo's touch and warmth. the little things, he remembered so clearly as if they happened yesterday. the amount of times, he wanted to confess his love but couldn't find the courage to speak his mind. it happened way too often, the small glances you shared across the room, the several ways koala tried to set you two up. god, the poor girl was completely exhausted from dealing with the shyness of two people when it came to adoring someone.
↷ sabo had the slight hope of finding a lover on an island far away. he would not be able to spend much time with them, but it would be worth it to know they are safe. the world nobles and the marine's were a strong enemy, attempting to find the revolutionary army and stop their movement. but when the chief of staff's eyes landed on you, he couldn't stop his heart from beating faster, his head from imagining having you by his side and certainly not himself from falling in love with you utterly fast. his eyes anchored on your sweet face, so calm and relaxed while sleeping, as the memories of the past weeks and months sprawled out in the back of his head. pictures of moments, he would never forget, or dare himself to change. your story together was perfect, and while it was dangerous to share romantic feelings with someone in the same position, sabo would never change the slightest thing.

ʚ monkey d. luffy ɞ
↷ as the captain of a wanted pirate crew, luffy had very few moments to rest and calm down from the constant fights. but when he got the chance to stay in bed longer than usual, the straw hat had his arms wrapped up tightly around your body. you sprawled out on top of him, one leg on each side. cheek pressed against his toned, naked chest while inhaling and exhaling deep breaths. you always begged him to calm down once in a while, and rest from the fighting and the punches, but luffy was very bad at listening. for almost two years, you asked and he denied it with a chuckle and no words. one of his hands reached up, the calloused fingertips which became rougher over the course of time brushed the thin strands of hair out of your face. the corners of your mouth lifted slightly, almost invisible, as you exhaled a deep breath. even in your sleep, you bathed in the softness of luffy's touch. certain little things, luffy picked up over the course of your relationship.
↷ no one around luffy thought he was capable of feeling love for anything else than his occupancy as a pirate. but when the straw hats visited your island, and luffy shared a look with you, it was certain that the boy fell head over heels for your precious self. throughout the events of the past months, you gave luffy enough strength to fight further and stronger. even after losing ace, you were his glimpse of hope. a smile crept its way onto luffy's mouth, remembering the nights, you stayed on deck with him. falling asleep in his arms while watching the wide ocean sway around the thousand sunny. the days, you brought him food when he didn't join the crew for dinner. something which didn't happen before, he would never let a meal get wasted. memories, he carried with him like pictures on a wall. framed with golden ornaments and attached to his heart. moments, luffy used as a reminder to always keep fighting, to stay strong in the worst fights.
↷ his dilated pupils were locked on your statue on him, so small, so beautiful and so admirable. his slender and warm fingers combed through the mess of hair, adoring the way you made him feel safe between the enemies that wanted his head. luffy could agree to many alliances, could laugh at way too many people, yet, most of them wanted to murder the straw hat behind his back. the million little things you've done for him, no matter if the days were good or bad, they pulled luffy deeper into your spell. he fell harder for you with each given day, and while becoming the king of the pirates was his priority task, you quickly changed the placement. the straw hat did not except to experiment love on his journey to the one piece, and yet, luffy would not trade this life for anything else, he would never change any step of your love story and relationship together.

ʚ portgas d. ace ɞ
↷ there was not one calm night on the moby dick since the commanders gathered for an arranged party. music boomed across the deck of the main ship, and spread across the vast ocean. colorful lights, red and blue cascaded through the darkness and announced the ship to any other pirate crews or marine admirals. those feasts were ace's greatest pleasure. he loved drinking booze and eating meals until passing out. but those past days, it was somehow different. seated in the corner, the glass tightly in one of his hands, ace watched his friends and family interact with you. dancing around with marco, and having long conversations with pops or thatch. the night was a long one again, the third in a row and it was no surprise the next morning when you were still asleep. cuddled up in ace's arms while pressing your back further against his naked chest. warmth spread underneath the thick blanket but also from ace's logia devil fruit powers. a walking heater, who watched closely how your chest rose while you inhaled and exhaled.
↷ the second division commander felt the tingling in his right arm, knowing that a couple more minutes could increase the slight pain. but he wouldn't dare himself to wake you up from a much-needed nap. after dancing way too many hours with marco, and even being forced to dance another round with ace by your side, your legs were hurting badly. his unoccupied hand wandered from your hipbone towards your thick thigh. smirking to himself as you carefully pushed yourself further against his body, ace massaged your unblemished and soft skin. he didn't think about taking advantage or doing anything sexual, the shaggy black-haired decided to give you something back. he remembered clearly how many times you decided to massage his tense shoulders and back when he returned from another long mission. standing on the small boat which only worked with his particular devil fruit powers didn't allow him much of a comfortable position. days passed, sometimes even weeks or months while you waited for him and hoped for ace to return well.
↷ over the months of dating, ace reminded himself of the small things you have done for him. it always kept him alive and awake when needed, knowing that returning to you was his greatest desire. he wouldn't want to see your soft face stained by the tears from your eyes. this time, he promised to stay longer by your side, to decline leaving the ship so easily and quickly. his rough fingertips caressed along the skin of your thigh while his eyes drifted over the small statues on the shelf close to the bed. little gifts that ace brought along when he was on a mission far away. you occupied his mind, kept him awake and forced his nightly dreams to enter his days. being in a relationship as a pirate always caused problems, fearing for the well-being of you more than his own. and yet, ace wouldn't change a fact, wouldn't change any steps of the past that you shared together. each return to the moby dick came with new shivers, heavy goosebumps and a quick heartbeat. feelings, ace only got when your face popped into his mind, when you occupied his head.

His True Self Part 2
Tumblr media
Part 1 ~~ Part 3
Sabo X Fem Reader
Koala was over the moon when she found out that Sabo finally confessed to you, and she was laughing hysterically when she found out it was by mistake, claiming that his face must have been amazing. She was disappointed to learn of the fact three months after it happened. Regardless though, she was now helping you pick out an outfit for meeting someone important in Sabo’s life.
Koala had explained it to be like a parental figure which amused you. Most revolutionaries have found family, but very few had parental figures. Even you had been an orphan for a while and thinking towards how your boyfriend acts, you thought he had been one as well. Never bringing up someone who had taken care of him while growing up before.
Although you guess he has been here since he was a child, it’s no wonder how he rose the ranks ‘quickly’ when he’s been here for so long, and someone must have taken care of him. You mind wanders to who it could be and while all the top positions flashed through your mind you couldn’t see any of them taken on the burden of watching a kid.
“Tell me Koala, it’s not Iva right?” the only ‘reasonable’ suggestion you could even think of as they took long breaks to go back to Kamabakka Kingdom. Still, you couldn’t see the drag queen, who was open to all, opening their arms to a child to watch.
Koala burst out laughing, tears brimming her eyes, “No, although they did ‘babysit’ Sabo and I when no one wanted us to wander. If you want to call it that.”
~~~
         “Are you ready Y/N?” Sabo leaned down to ask as he looped and arm around yours. He had met you at your room, deciding to lead you to where you were meeting his benefactor.
         “I must be honest, I am a little nervous…” You chuckle out trying to ease your nerves, “How will I look to them? I never thought I’d be meeting anyone’s equivalent to a parent.” The thought had ran through your mind when you were younger, meeting your lovers family and getting along with them. But as time had progressed you had given up on meeting someone, much less being welcomed into such a homey environment.
         The revolutionary army was as close as you’d get to a family was what you thought after you joined, and then Sabo exceeded you expectations and now this. It was a little much for you to accept so quickly, “Please, They already like you. We’ve been dating for months now, it’s only proper that I introduce you two formally.” The excited look he gave you made your heart flutter a bit.
         You approached the room, rather farther from most you had noticed. You had been walking for about five minutes before getting there and the smile of Sabo’s face was enough to calm your nerves as he knocked on the door before letting himself in, pulling you with him.
         You tense up a bit as you enter, expecting to see someone you maybe haven’t met yet, but what you weren’t expecting was the Commander Dragon himself. He was sat at a table, towards the door with his hands crossed in front of him. “Dragon! I’d like you to meet my girlfriend, Y/N. Y/N, please meet Dragon!” Sabo between the two of you as you made eye contact with Dragon.
         Both of you blinked a bit, it seems as though both of you had not been expecting this. Dragon lets a small sigh out first before shooting a glance at Sabo, “I thought you meant someone I didn’t know.” His shoulders relaxed a bit before looking back towards you, “It seems he got you wrapped around his finger as well Y/N.” The slight laugh coming from him surprised you as heard Sabo joining in on the chuckling.
         “Hmm? What? Wait. What?” You mind was still reeling a bit as Sabo led you to a chair with the biggest shit-eating grin on his face. Out of everyone you could have expected to meet it certainly wasn’t him.
         After an awkward beginning and light conversation, you and Dragon had finally started joking about Sabo here and there to ease up to mood. It’s when Sabo gets up to grab something that Dragon looks at you, “Well, how about we talk about sending you out on a mission soon?” You gleefully fill the room with chatter as he talks about a couple of missions to retrieve something from near by islands, none would take longer than a week or so.
         You smiled brightly while talking about what your mission could be when Sabo walks back in, seemingly un aware of what was happening. Placing a bottle of wine of the table as he goes behind you, both his hands on your shoulders, “What are you two talking about?” He leans down to give your cheek a kiss, unbeknownst to you he was also shooting a glare towards Dragon.
         “We were just going over the details of my first mission coming up,” You smile up at him, turning your head to receive a kiss on the lip. You feel his grasp on your shoulders tighten and he pulls away from you with a worried look.
         “What if you get hurt? You haven’t been attending training regularly in a while now, you may be more prone to injuries.” His logic and voice dripping with concern hit you hard. You have been so busy recently that you’d only be able to go out and train about once a week, and you have been leaving the office each night more tired than usual. “I’m just worried that you may not be prepared.” His hands slide down your arms before wrapping around you fully, squeezing. “I’m sure Dragon agrees. He doesn’t want you to push yourself too thin.”
         You glance over at Dragon who seems to be staring at Sabo with an unreadable expression, his gaze softening slightly after making eye contact with you, “Of course, Y/N. You should be at your top performance before heading out on a mission.”
You bring a hand up to Sabo’s arm still wrapped around you, rubbing it slightly in disappointment. “How about you join me on my next mission next month if you wrack up the energy again?” Sabo’s suggestion rings through your ears before looking at Dragon to see his input.
The scornful look on his face is hidden quickly as he looks back to you, saying if you agree to it than there’s nothing he can do. “You won’t worry to much if I’m near you I guess,” You smile up at him accepting the compromise. It had been a sore subject over all through out the relationship, it’d be at least once a week that you’d bring up wanting to be out on the field, each time he’d convince you, that you weren’t ready quite yet, not strong enough, not having enough energy. You were more than happy to listen to his demand if it meant he was trusting you to finally go outside headquarters.
~~~
You were more than excited about the upcoming mission, but you still had to focus on the word at hand. Apparently a hot shot pirate was caught and is too be executed at Marine Headquarters and everybody was making a huge deal about it. You read about pirates from time to time, but unless they crossed into the revolutionary territory you didn’t pay them much mind.
This one on the other hand was causing quite a bit more commotion, the second commander of the White Beard Pirates and apparently the son of Gol. D Roger. No doubt it was going to shake the world, but that would be another persons problem. Your problem was that Ivankov had gotten captured and was now in Impel Down.
The impenetrable prison was not a joke and to try and get him out was a heavy task. Dragon had all but given up, asking you to look into anyway to get him out but not pushing you to overwork. Everything you looked into was a risky notion, you’d have to contact more people, plan accordingly and expect casualties. It wasn’t what you wanted, but Iva was a big part of the Revolutionaries, to lose them would be a hard blow to the organization.
That is until we got word that Iva had gotten free, with the help of a rookie pirate. Dragon started to watch what was happening more closely as you sat in the same room. Sabo was out with Koala and should be back by tomorrow, so for now you were with Dragon, sitting in silence as you watched a war unfold.
The marines had been prepared for resistance, hundreds of pirates gathering to stop an execution and now even Iva had flown in with plenty of other escapees. The blood drained from your face as updates came in, why would they decide to join in such a battle that had little likely hood of success. Dragon seemed anxious but you didn’t question it, plenty of people were about to die and it’s not something either of you would be thrilled about.
You job of planning a breakout for Iva long forgotten as the both of you watched on, mentally preparing for the worst. And that’s when it’s announced that the rookie pirate who had helped Iva escaped, wearing a characteristic Straw Hat, was Dragon’s son. You looked over at Dragon who still didn’t show any emotion but you could tell he was tense. You didn’t ask any questions; it wasn’t for you to know and you’re sure he was feeling more emotions that you could imagine.
You watch as many people try to save the pair of supposed brothers. And that’s when you see Ace jump in front of Luffy. It was a quick and you had to look away from the transponder snail. You had been rooting for them to escape, no matter how unlikely it was.
It wasn’t until after new of Luffy escaping that Dragon stood up, “Be prepared for tomorrow. It will be a long day.” He walked out of the room to leave you with the files spread about. You sighed knowing that this would shift the world in one way or another. The repercussions would change a lot and you’d most likely be the one to help brief everyone else accordingly.
~~~
         Sabo had arrived late that night, you only know because you had still been organizing papers when you saw him coming in, he had given you a tired nod before doing a double take as to why you were still awake. “Don’t over work yourself.” His tired voice hitting your ears as he had walked up to see the papers spewed in front of you.
         “A large execution and war happened. There will be a briefing tomorrow night, still organizing everything,” You kept your explanation short as to not make his brain overthink anything. He was probably just as tired as you were at this point.
         He wraps his arms around you, his head going into your neck taking a deep breath in, “Finish the rest tomorrow. I’m sure today’s been exhausting.” You sigh, knowing he’s right. Most of it was done anyway it was just a matter of getting copies and put in an orderly manner before the meeting.
~~~
The next day you got up early enough to finish everything, dropping it all off for Dragon to look over. It was noon by the time you felt like you could breathe again. You walk outside to see the newspaper being delivered and buy the entire stock, knowing it’d have yesterday’s news of Ace in it and that everyone would want a look.
Dropping off even more papers, this time to the center table as others were slowly filtering into the room, grabbing the paper to see what it had to say as you sat down near Dragon to take meeting notes when it started in an hour or so.
People murmuring and looking around as they read the news, some even going up to Dragon if it’s true that he has a son, but what catches your eye is your boyfriend stopping mid step. The look on his face was the same one he’d get when he was trying to remember something from his past and you had a bad gut feeling as he turned to grab a paper himself.
Standing up as even Koala turned to ask what was wrong is Sabo as he continued to read of the war that had happened. He starts to shake and you can hear his breathing becoming unstable, only those closest to him seem to have noticed his break down as you make your way to him. Before you could see what was wrong, he let out a painful yell, falling to the floor before passing out. Dragon stood up as everyone rushed to see what happened.
You and Koala had decided to take turns staying by Sabo side. He had such a high fever and no one knew what was happening to him. He had been perfectly healthy before coming back and no one was prepared to see him stuck in a bed without a reason why. You heart sank every time you entered his room, wiping his forehead down every time sweat accumulated on him.
Much of the time he was stagnant and barely moved, but every now and then he’d toss and turn, trying to grip for something with both his hands as you’d call the medics to help him relax again. You’d learn quickly that it was better for him to be fully out over letting his body control him. Koala had been with him the first time, not only was he attacking at random, but he was also hurting himself. What had been a small coma quickly turned into a couple of fractured bones and stitches as he haphazardly attacked objects.
Three days had passed and you could handle it, Koala and Hack telling you to get some sleep as they took over watch of the passed-out chief of staff. You couldn’t sleep much but laying down was enough rest you’d need while overthinking of what could have happened.
It hadn’t even been 2 hours when someone burst into your room, informing you of Sabo waking up. You were delighted, a little disappointed in yourself for not being next to him as you quickly make your way to him.
You burst into the room, tears running down your face just as he was explaining he had gotten his memories back. You didn’t care, you tackle his bed, jumping between Hack and Koala who were there. You pounded on his chest as you heard Koala’s sniffles too and his arms wrap around you rubbing your back, “Don’t scare me like that idiot.” The harsh scold met with a small laughter at you stare up at Sabo’s refreshed face. Dragon also entering the room as Koala laughs at your normally stern and strong demeanor is broken, her own sobs quieting down.
After a couple minutes of everyone calming down Sabo lets everyone know that Ace and Luffy are his brothers. You glance at Dragon, wondering if he knew considering he had picked Sabo up from the island they grew up on, his cold face showing a little bit of shock before going back to being unreadable.
“The important thing now is that I can protect those I love now.” Sabo’s voice strong as ever as he grips your hand tighter, “I’ll make sure I never lose anyone needlessly again.” His face downturned slightly, you assumed it was for mourning of Ace.
You can’t imagine how it must feel to remember your family only to realize you lost one of them, another one of them god knows where after being in critical condition. Although you do let Sabo know that Luffy seemed to have made it out alive, quickly retrieving the paper that showed his solemn look of him breaking back into Marineford for a photo op.
Sabo clenches the paper, his jaw becoming tight as he stares at the photo, “That idiot never changes.” He breathes a sigh and you can see a slight smile play onto Dragon’s face at the comment.
Over the course of a couple days, you could see Sabo battling himself. Making small comments here and there, and being clingier than before. You couldn’t blame him though, if anything you’re shocked, he wasn’t mourning more. Still, you stayed by his side, listening to his words and his happy stories of his childhood. Holding him close when he’d get silent and tears started brimming his eyes.
Some nights he wouldn’t let you go until morning, and you didn’t dare leave him. Seeing him in such a vulnerable state broke your heart, and if he needed you there, you weren’t going to deny him that small comfort.

The obnoxious chatter of your fellow bus riders, combined with the unpredictable thumps when passing over the occasional pothole was enough to drive you mad.
There was a baby two seats behind you bawling its little eyes out, a businessman screaming into his phone, and two little old ladies gossiping about the affairs of their next-door neighbor— but you didn’t mind their conversation too much.
You would be wearing your headphones in order to escape the hell you were placed in, but on your way to the bus stop you snapped the audio jack while struggling to jam it into your cheap MP3 player. As a result, you were damned to listen to the screeching around you. But you were able to breathe a sigh of relief, seeing as nobody had dared to sit next to you on this—
“Hey! Is that seat taken?”
You jumped in your seat at the sudden intrusion, eyes darting to your left to see the sudden encroacher. And, much to your shock, it wasn’t a 40 year-old man trying to snuggle up close to a college girl, but his voice already ruled out that possibility. Instead, it was a young boy, probably around your age. He looked a little out of place in his summer attire, but school had only just started, so it was no surprise that some people weren’t ready to let it go quite yet.
“Uh, no,” you finally spoke up, silently pulling your bag closer to the wall of the bus.
With a grin the boy threw his incredibly robust bag next to your own, taking the seat next to you. “My name’s Luffy!” he said joyously, sticking out a hand for you to shake.
You gingerly extended your own, watching helplessly as Luffy snatched it, wildly shaking it up and down. ‘My first new friend,’ you thought sarcastically. ‘It could certainly be worse.’
“I’m ____,” you said slowly, contemplating the consequences of telling this stranger your name. He did look like a student, at the very least. This line of reasoning failed to put a light on your current situation, but with enough deep breaths you could ignore it.
“You’re a student, then?” you asked, gesturing to his incredibly full bag.
Luffy excitedly nodded. “I’m a freshman! See, I got everything I need for today!”
Inside Luffy’s bag weren't pillows, blankets or even clothes. Instead it was chock full of various foods, mostly greasy meats. You were slightly impressed at how the smell remained hidden inside the shoddy hand-me-down bag.
“Ya like it?” Luffy ruffled through the bag, pulling out a large seared steak. “My neighbor Hancock made it all for me! Said I needed to be well-fed while I was here!”
All you could do was nod along as Luffy continued to speak. You originally assumed that he was some kind of farm boy, based on his current attire, ready for his first day in the big city. His strange quirks and interesting home life began to intrigue you, creating a need for answers.
“Grand Line University?” you interrupted, paying more attention.
Luffy looked at you cluelessly for a second before vigorously nodding his head, that grin still stapled onto his face.
“Yep! That’s where my two brothers go! We all promised we’d go to the same college when we grew up!” he explained.
“Brothers?” you gently pushed further, hoping to learn more.
“Ace and Sabo!” he shouted, excitement barely contained, “Sabo is studying scoliology and Ace is a super awesome hockey player!”
“Scoliology…?”
“Yeah, sockiology!” Luffy assured, his grin unfaltering.
“And what does Ace study?” you pried.
“Um…” Luffy went quiet for a few seconds, scratching his head to emphasize his uncertainty. “I dunno! I think he’s just taking a bunch of different classes. That’s what I’m gonna do!”
“You’re undecided, then?”
“Hm, well I kinda know what I wanna do. I wanna be like my big brothers, but I also wanna do fun stuff! Like eating!”
“So you wanna be, like, a chef?”
“Nope!”
All you could do was stare at Luffy, dumbfounded by his confidence.
“Are you a student too?” Luffy bounced excitedly on the bus seat.
‘Well, he catches on quick.’ You rolled your eyes internally. “Yeah, I’m a freshman too. Psychology major.”
“Oh, oh! Like a brain doctor!” Luffy pointed at you, enthusiastic at his confidentially incorrect assumption.
“Uh, yea, close enough,” you sighed.
A second of silence passed between you before Luffy began speaking again.
“Do you wanna be friends?” he asked.
Such a bizarre question forced you to pause, staring at Luffy blankly. Did you want to be friends? You’d known him for less than ten minutes, but he’d grown on you in that time. You knew little about him, but he also knew little about you, and isn’t that how all friendships start?
His talkative presence had provided levity to your headphone-less journey. Admittedly, you had grown to slowly appreciate his presence, letting him talk your ear off and drown out the noise of the other passengers. It wasn’t how you dreamed your college life would start out, but you could make this work. Yeah, this wasn’t bad, and it could certainly be worse! You could make this work. You could make this work.
“Sure, Luffy,” you smiled, “I’d like that.”
Tumblr media
Fifteen minutes later and you and Luffy disembarked from the bus, walking side-by-side up to the school. It was far from a quiet walk, Luffy currently yapping about the different kinds of meat he was carrying in his bag.
“So, what dorm are you in?” you questioned, swinging your bag around carelessly.
“Uh…” Luffy searched his pockets, looking around for the paper given to him. “Poseidon!”
“Damn, I’m in Pluton,” you groaned, disappointed at the loss of your new friend.
“That’s ok! We can still see each other at the cafeteria! Or in the halls! Or outside!”
A smile found its way onto your face, the corners of your mouth upturning ever so slightly. Despite your attempts to keep your distance from Luffy, his constant jabbering and peppy attitude had grown on you.
“I’d like that,” you smiled, tucking your hands in your pockets. “I’ll see you around, Luffy.”
The two of you parted ways, separating to your respective dorms. Most of Grand Line’s buildings fell between vintage and just straight decay, brick walls and vine growths contrasted with the cracked interior walls and gross carpet. But you knew what you signed up for when you applied to this damn place.
A couple minutes of walking later and you found yourself standing in front of Pluton, towering brick walls casting a looming shadow cast over you. You shuffled through your bag to grab your ID, swiping it through the card reader and hearing the click of the door unlocking.
Swinging it open, you marched through the ancient hallways, taking in the ‘wonderful’ sights that Pluton had in store for you. You’d exchanged a couple of emails with your roommates, and what you’d gathered from their personalities made you want to shout for joy and scream in agony.
The first to contact you, Nami, was undoubtedly a spoiled brat. She informed you that she would be bringing a fridge and trash, something you had greatly appreciated at the time. But the next sentence revealed that she would be charging you for their use, which caused you to chuck your phone across the room. Needless to say, you weren’t looking forward to meeting her.
Vivi, on the other hand, seemed like an absolute delight. She explained that she was a foreign exchange student looking for a new outlook on life, hoping to meet some new friends at Grand Line. It surprised you that she hadn’t applied for the Mary Geoiose Institute, considering her immense status in her home country, but if it was a new outlook she was searching for, she’d most definitely find it here.
Furthermore, on account of throwing your phone, you were unable to search up any kind of pictures of the two, much less send any other communications. You lacked the funds to purchase a new phone and thus were forced to submit it for repairs, informed that it would be finished in around two weeks, which unfortunately lined up exactly with move-in day. It would seem your life was fraught with inconvenient coincidences, especially considering your two roommates.
A greedy business major like Nami and a selfless political science major like Vivi sounded like a recipe for disaster, and you weren’t looking forward to playing psychologist for the two of them. You crossed hallways and climbed up stairs, arriving at your floor and scanning the doors for your room number.
Judging by the open doors and giddy voices around you, it would seem like you were the last one to move in. The only thing you could do was pray your roommates were still late to the party, if only to avoid the drama that would most certainly result if they were to collide.
At the end of the hallway was your dorm and standing uniformly amongst the rest, waiting to be decorated by its inhabitants. You stepped towards the door, laying your hand on the doorknob and slowly twisted, anticipating the worst behind the door—
“Oh my god, you actually have those heels? They were only sold for a single day, how in the world did you get them!”
“Well, my dad bought them as a birthday present for my sixteenth birthday…”
“Your dad bought them? What’s he like? How old is he? How much does he have in his bank account?”
You stood frozen before your roommates, watching them talk as if they were old friends meeting up after a long time. But that was hardly your greatest concern at the moment. Your roommates were drop dead gorgeous. Long, effortlessly wavy hair; clear, glowing skin; and their absolutely rockin’ bodies. It made you question whether or not you had the correct room.
“Nami and Vivi?” you interrupted, sheepishly moving your hands behind your back.
Instantly the two turned to look at you, momentary confusion clouding their face only to be washed over with smiles.
“You must be ____, right?” the blue-haired girl spoke, rising to her feet, “I’m Vivi, it’s a great pleasure to meet you.”
“I’m Nami!” the ginger waved, flashing you a wide grin, “don’t forget about the fridge policy! You can put the money in that jar.” She pointed to a very decorated glass mason jar, complete with a small sign labeled ‘FRIDGE FUNDS :)’ beneath it.
You damned yourself for forgetting Nami’s inclivities. ‘How could I forget?’ you internally cringed.
“Right…” You warily scratched the back of your head. “So, which bed’s mine?”
“You can have the single!” Vivi keenly blurted, “unless you’d rather the bunk! Nami called dibs on the top bunk, and I’ve never experienced a bunk-bed before, so I was hoping I could have the bottom. But if you, would like it, it is no problem—”
“Single’s fine!” you whistled cheerily, cutting her off before she could change her mind.
“Perfect!” Vivi clapped her hands together. “Nami offered to go out to eat today, and I was wondering if you would like to join us? It would be a great way to learn about each other!”
You shrugged, “Sure, but I’m kind of broke right now, so if one of you could pay for me I can pay you back in a week.”
“No need to worry!” Vivi reassured, “I will pay for you two, consider it a gift to honor our new friendship!”
“Thanks, Vivi…” you sighed in relief, tossing your bag up onto your mattress.
“Well, I say we get going!” Nami interjected, hopping off the couch below your bed, “we can look around and decide what sounds good.”
Tumblr media
The three of you filed out of the dormitory, crossing the campus in order to reach downtown. It felt strange seeing your fellow students around the campus, some entering buildings and others lazing around on the grass. You failed to recognize even the most colorful characters loitering about, and judging by some of their rather explicative attitudes, you wanted to keep it that way.
“We could get Japanese, Italian, Indian,” Nami listed, leading the charge down the street.
“I wouldn’t mind Italian,” you muttered, not wanting to be the deciding factor.
“How about you, Vivi? Does Italian sound good?” Nami turned to face her roommate.
“Of course, I am fine with—”
“____!” a voice called out.
The three of you turned to the sudden outcry of your name. You hardly knew anyone on account of being a shut-in orphan for most of your life, despite living in Red Line for so long. But you did recognize the voice that shouted your name.
Across the street stood Luffy, flanked by three odd men. He waved at you madly, sprinting across the street with no regard, much to the horror of his companions, who chased after him, much to the dismay of traffic.
“Friends of yours?” Nami asked, a mixture of apprehension and curiosity covering her face.
“Just the black-haired one,” you whispered back.
Luffy dashed onto the sidewalk, followed by his terrified partners, and ran straight up to you.
“____, these are my roommates!” Luffy stretched his arms around their shoulders, pulling them in close. “This is—”
“Sanji!” the blond interjected, pushing in front of his roommate, “it’s a pleasure to meet you, mes chéries.”
Viv blushed at the pet name, but you could see the dollar signs bulging out of Nami’s eyes. You weren’t one to swoon head-over-heels over a little French, so you tucked your hands in your pockets and waited for the next introduction.
“I’m Usopp!” the curly-haired man cheered, giving two thumbs up and not-so-subtly ushering his green-haired companion to speak.
“Zoro,” the moss-head gruffed, shuffling his feet boredly.
“Aren’t they great?” Luffy shouted, grinning from ear-to-ear.
“Yeah, glad someone else gets the pleasure of knowing you, Luffy,” you joked.
Zoro snorted at your comment, a smirk appearing on his face for half a second.
“Well, if you three aren’t doing anything, wanna join us? We were just going to eat and hang out,” Nami offered.
“Okay!” Luffy agreed immediately, “I’m suuuuper hungry, so let’s go eat somewhere with lots of food!”
“Everywhere has lots of food, Luf,” Zoro yawned, scratching his head.
“We were planning on Italian food, that sound good to you?” Nami placed a hand on her hip.
Before Luffy could make any further statements, Usopp clasped a hand over his mouth. “Italian sounds fantastic!” he assured us.
“My dad owns a place,” Sanji remarked, “he probably won’t let us eat for free, but I could probably get a discount.”
Nami grinned, clapping her hands excitedly at the thought of saving money.
“Perfect, lead the way, Prince Charming!” Nami cheered, twirling her finger in the air, leading your newly formed crew behind Sanji.
Tumblr media
“Your brother is Ace? Like, Portgas D. Ace? Like, famous hockey player for the Grand Line, that Ace?” Nami exclaimed, jaw dropping open in shock.
“Yeah! Do you know him?” Luffy replied, shoveling down his seventh slice of pizza.
“Know him?” Sanji hissed, “what part of ‘famous hockey player for the Grand Line’ do you not understand?”
“He is quite famous…” Vivi whispered.
While Nami and Sanji continued to prod Luffy for more answers, you and Zoro quietly ate your food. Well, you’d consider what you were eating as food, a plate of carbonara and a side of asparagus, but Zoro was eating a singular piece of bread with a bottle of red wine. ‘To each their own,’ you shrugged.
“So…” you started, turning to Zoro, “what’s your major?”
Zoro stared down at you intimidatingly, unflinching at your question. Maybe it was his bulky frame or fiery green hair, but something about him sent shivers down your spine. Did your question offend him somehow? How the hell could he take a question like that in a bad way?
“Exercise science,” he answered, taking a swig from his bottle, “I wanna be a personal trainer.”
‘Huh, guess he’s not that scary…’ you thought to yourself.
“Are you planning on being a coach or something? Or do you have different plans?” you continued, praying the conversation wouldn’t fall flat.
“...I’d like to open my own dojo, but I’m not opposed to doing one-on-one training for the beginning of my career,” he mumbled.
“People always say to dream big. I hope it all goes well for you.”
Any malicious energy that Zoro had previously held seemed to dissipate with your response. You weren’t a psychic by any means, but as you looked into Zoro’s sharp eyes, you could make out a little softness within them.
“Thanks, I appreciate it,” he sighed, taking another sip of wine.
Your conversation reached its course as you both went back to eating. Nami was currently trying to get Ace’s number out of Luffy, not for any romantic reason from what you could tell, however. Those dollar signs were back in her eyes, glimmering with greed as she pestered Luffy.
“I think it starts with a three. Or maybe it was an eight?” Luffy asked himself, confusion clouding his expression.
“Who cares?” Sanji groaned, “he’s just a womanizing pretty boy!”
“Pot calling kettle black!” Usopp pointed out, sticking his fork at Sanji for emphasis.
“Yeah, butt out, Sanji! Mama’s gotta get herself a sugar daddy!” Nami hissed.
“You can find plenty at the Mary Geoiose Institute, Nami,” you teased, “unless you wanted a military man, in which case Marineford is probably taking applications.”
Nami faux gasped, a hand pressed to her chest in shock. “I prefer my lovers to be more down to earth! Money isn’t everything, you know? Besides, I’d never date someone so uptight, either.”
All of you laughed at her over dramatic act, even Zoro, who gave a soft chuckle. In less than an hour all of you were cracking jokes and carrying on a conversation, nobody left out and nobody reigning over the others.
Your life had been uneventful, plagued by boredom without a dream to call your own. You hadn’t needed anyone before, so you weren’t expecting to need anyone now. But being here with your new…friends? It felt like that missing piece of your life had finally clicked. Maybe you didn’t have a dream quite yet, but you certainly had a wish: that this moment would last forever.
“Pardon me!” Vivi announced, gently ringing her wine glass. She stood up, smiling at everyone.
“I would like to make a toast,” she smiled, “to our little crew!”
“Doesn’t a crew need a name~?” Nami drunkenly jeered.
Vivi pondered for a moment. “I suppose it does! Any suggestions, my friends?”
“The Ero-Cooks,” Zoro offered, taking another swig.
“Oh, very clever! How about the Marimos? Huh?” Sanji growled, shaking his fist in anger.
Nami, Luffy, and Usopp attempted to give more suggestions through Zoro and Sanji’s argument, though Nami was a little too drunk to be offering any kind of advice. But while everyone was speaking, an idea struck you.
“The Straw Hats,” you said, pointing at Luffy’s hat. “Technically speaking, Luffy’s the reason we’re here right now. Makes sense to name us after him.”
“The Straw Hats…” Vivi murmured to herself, “a perfect name!”
Vivi raised her glass.
“To the Straw Hats!”
Seven glasses rose in unison, meeting in the middle of the table to clink together.
“To the Straw Hats!”

Hi Rainfall how are you?😊 I hope that you're doing well. This is my first request i hope you don't mind answering Can you please do a scenario of yandere Sabo falling in love with a member of the strawhat pirates please? And you're always welcome to add nsfw and please Keep up the nice writing and stay hydrated 😊
Sure! I’ll do my best and since you told me to stay hydrated, I’m gonna take a big gulp of water right now! This one is probably going to be quite short though as I’ve never been quite good at writing canon
Sincerest of apologies and I certainly do hope that you still enjoy it regardless! Now then…
Let’s get into it!

!-POTENTIAL TRIGGER WARNINGS-!
!-MINORS DO NOT INTERACT AT ALL-!
So honestly I can imagine that you might have potentially encountered Sabo during the time skip like let’s say that you wound up encountering him for a little while during those two years
Maybe he saved you like you were in trouble with the Marines due to your wanted poster and Sabo noticing that you were running for your life decided to pull you into his hiding place out of sight as he was running too
Of course you were probably freaking out a little when he suddenly grabbed you but he kept you quiet and held you with your back against his chest until the coast was clear which is when he finally let go
Once you realized that you had been saved and had not in fact wound up in a worse scenario, that’s when you took a lot of deep breaths to calm yourself before you thanked him
It was after that is when he said that the two of you should stick together until you can get off this island as it was gonna be a while with how the Marines had locked the place down and despite everything. You knew trying to leave was a bad idea right now
During the time that the two of you spent waiting, you found out a lot about each other. He was a revolutionary that had been sent to this island on a mission, you were a pirate who had been separated from your crew
Honestly the two of you became quite close and eventually when the Marines calmed down thinking you both must be long gone. That’s when the two of you tried to leave only for Sabo to offer you to join the revolutionary army
You would make for a pretty good member after all and Sabo even offered to personally teach you everything that you needed to know
He was almost a little too insistent about it even when you said “I couldn’t just abandon my crew”. After a while though, you put your foot down and told him that you were going to find your crew and get back to them as nice as his offer was
Part of Sabo honestly felt the urge to just grab you and forcefully take you with him as how could a life on the seas possibly be better than fighting for what was truly right?
But nonetheless he held himself back for now and the two of you went your separate ways…
However as soon as he was away from your side and returning back to the others, he found that he simply couldn’t stop thinking about you as there was always a little bit of his mind that was thinking about you
It started off as him simply imagining what would have happened if you said yes and what you’re doing now then it progressed into forgetting that you weren’t here with him and occasionally slipping up like “I don’t know… What do you think, Y/N?”
Weirded the shit out of whoever he was talking to but regardless, he soon starts to imagine a complete life for the two of you in the world that the revolutionary army would bring about
He imagined living with you and letting you know just how much he loved you just about every single day, he wouldn’t have to worry about coming home and finding you missing or worse because some Celestial Dragon thought you were cute
There would be no need to fear that at all and even if there were still some fears in the world, he could protect you… He could protect you and any children that the two of you might have together
And as he thought about these scenarios in his head, he began to think to himself as the two of you were so close back on that island together… You knew so much about each other and not only that but some of your actions as well
You allowed him to sleep on the bed of the little inn room that you both managed to get instead of sleeping on the floor, you hugged him just a bit longer than you should have that one time, you even shared quite a few personal details with him that you probably haven’t told anyone else
Could it be that you felt the same way about him? Yeah, yeah! Of course you did, there’s absolutely no other explanation in his mind!
He just has to find you now and take you back with him when the time is right, he’ll tell you about how he feels the exact same way that you do and you’ll leap into his arms like it’s some kind of fairy tale! You’ll tell him that you’re so happy he realized and kiss him
These fantasies are truly some of the best things that he could ever think of and in all honesty, he even starts to dream about you sitting in his lap and riding him as you cry out that you’re so happy that you get to do this finally as you’ve wanted to do this since you’ve met him
Of course he usually has to take care of himself after these dreams which usually results in him moaning out your name as he rubs his cock to the visual of you bouncing on him or taking him into your mouth like a good girl
God, he needs to find you… He can’t wait for this any longer…
So Dressrosa winds up happening and of course you’re part of Luffy’s crew so as much as he would like to confess his feelings to you and steal you away, he’s sure that Luffy would never allow it plus he just can’t find the right moment to tell you how he feels
And due to this, he becomes more and more frustrated as sure the city is in absolute chaos and is about to be destroyed but he would just like at least ten seconds where shit isn’t going to hell so he can at least kiss you or say “I love you!” or something!
Even when the chaos is over, he still can’t find the correct moment and this man is very close to just coming up behind you and stealing you away
But as he’s coming up behind you planning to grab you from behind when it seems like you’re all alone, he’s just about to touch you when you suddenly turn around and say that you’ve been looking for him with a smile on your face
He thinks that you’re about to confess first and his heart is pounding in his chest as he’s so excited only for you to thank him so much for everything that he’s done before entering a conversation with him
You eventually let it slip that you have a bit of a crush on your captain and you can practically hear the cracking noise coming from Sabo before someone calls you away and you say that it was nice to see him again before leaving
Sabo is probably standing there just frozen and watching you go
So many things in his head are telling him to go after you to grab you and kiss you senseless so you realize that he’s the one for you but his Yandere Tendencies aren’t fully brought to the surface as he shakes his head and tries to fight the urge to do so as he leaves
He can’t bring himself to steal what’s potentially going to be his younger brothers girl someday… At least not yet…
Besides he’s absolutely sure that Luffy can keep you safe! Maybe even better than he can… Yeah! You’re in the safest hands with his younger brother! Sabo can definitely trust him to keep you safe and treat you EXACTLY how you deserve to be treated
And he couldn’t possibly bring himself to steal you away and protect you from all the dangers in the world that might try to hurt you! You’re part of Luffy’s crew after all and he doesn’t even mind if he someday gets an invite to the wedding that the two of you might have
If you heard a pop then that was Sabo’s stress ball… He’s on his fifth one today…
Regardless despite all of his wants, he gets back to his work as a revolutionary and tries to just ignore his feelings
That is until a certain country known as Lulusia gets wiped from existence and suddenly that last shred of sanity that Sabo had is completely gone
There is absolutely no way in hell that Luffy can keep you safe after what he just witnessed… He knew that the nagging feeling in the back of his head was right!
Luffy has too many crew members to watch out for after all and Sabo is certain that there could come a time when you’ll get hurt in some horrible awful way
And although Sabo does love his brother and would trust him with his life… He just wouldn’t be able to live with himself if he continued to let you stay there only for you to get hurt
Sabo will keep you safe, he’ll keep you safe and secure until the day finally comes when the revolutionary army has won
And when that day comes if the world is still just a bit too dangerous for his liking, he’ll continue to keep you safe even if it means locking you away inside of the home that he’ll share with you someday
He knows what’s best for you after all

Every day. On the third floor, he sat at the same spot. With a new book every other day or every other four days. His long, wavy, long hair was parted in the middle. She wondered what his hair would look like if it weren't parted in the middle.
[y/n] wondered if he knew she'd sometimes stare at him, especially whenever his loud friends came around. Those were the only times she'd see him smile, and he had a pretty smile. She liked his smile a lot, along with his little laugh.
She promised she was there to do her homework; she wasn't expecting to be some library stalker. She certainly hoped he didn't think she was as well. There were plenty of times when she thought of introducing herself to him, but she could not bring herself to do so.
He smelt nice; his cologne was probably ysl "y le parfum" considering it was the same cologne her brother wore. Today he wore a red flannel with a black tank top; his jeans were ripped towards the knees, and he had his signature black low-top vans.
He, on the other hand, noticed the woman staring at him. He thought it was pretty cute. Sometimes, Sabo would stare back at her, giving her a slight grin. The blonde male was not sure if he should go up and introduce himself to her. He knew she would not make the first move, so it was up to him.
Tumblr media
[y/n] thought today would be the same as always when she entered the library. Little did she know that she would be wrong. What was he doing sitting at the table she sat at? Should she sit somewhere else? Should she sit there? She did not know what to do. She had five seconds to decide, and it came in a blink of an eye.
She slowly sat in the chair across from him, staring at the floor. She couldn't stare at him, or else she'd feel hot.
"Hello," his voice was soft and a bit deep.
"Hi," she lowly spoke, trying not to stare at her.
"I'm Sabo," he placed his book on the table.
"[y/n]..." she slowly looked up from her book.
"I hope it's okay that I sit here?" what was he talking about? he was already sitting here.
"You're already sittin' here..." she raised an eyebrow at him.
"I meant sitting here every day, with you... Maybe getting to know you?" he had to be joking. There was no way that he meant that.
"If you want to... Only because I have a feelin' that even if I told you no, you'd still sit here," and she was right.
"It was like you read my mind, how'd you know?" he chuckled, causing her to shrug.
"Have you always been starin' at me?" he added. Her eyes went wide as she began to cough.
"W-what are you talkin' about?" she stammered, trying to play it off.
"I've noticed you staring at me a couple of times. I'm not mad, honestly, I think it's cute," he smiled, staring at her.
"Oh God..." she felt embarrassed, but he couldn't stop laughing.
He indeed found humor in this situation right now. [y/n] could not help but bury her face back into her book. This embarrassment could not leave her body. Sabo, on the other hand, liked this and he liked her. It wasn't every day that you had a secret admirer, especially one that was beautiful.
"But it's okay because I like it. Which is why I mentioned it," she could not lie, his smile was beautiful.
"Whatever," she huffed, keeping her eyes away from his.
He couldn't help but chuckle once more. She was cute, and her being shy made her irresistible.
"I came here to get my work done, and I haven't got the chance to do so because you're distractin' me," she added with a bit of sass.
"So why'd you pull a book out instead?" he raised a brow.
"Because it was easier and smaller to use,"
"Fine, I'll let you do your work, and I will go back to reading my book. Does that sound good?" it honestly did not matter to her as long as she got her work done, she did not care.
His face was partially covered by the book while she grabbed her notebook and iPad out of her bag. This wouldn't take her long, but she still did not feel like completing it.
While she did her work, Sabo finished his book. He did not want to leave her by herself even though she'd probably be fine, so he went to find a new book to read. Finding a new book would not be a problem for him since he was willing to read anything and it would not take him long to read.
After a while, she let a small sigh out. She closed her notebook, and placed the iPad back in her bag. He actually stayed with her? This was a bit of a surprise. Usually he leaves around this timeframe.
"Oh you're finished? We should get lunch, I'm hungry," he smiled while she just shook her head no.
"C'mon, you'll be fine," and another sigh left her lips.
"Fine," she got up with her bag and phone, and followed him out of the library. She was in for a surprise.

Chapter 11: Hawk Eyes
After the spar the rest of your day was largely uneventful. Hack had come to you with a time line for the engagement and wedding ceremony, and aside from being a little surprised that it was already an item for discussion, you had nothing against the parameters provided. You’d expected when you’d been sent to the palace that you weren’t going to have a say in how quickly things did, or did not go. Being asked for your opinion was already a courtesy beyond what you had expected.
You only saw the Duke during dinner, and the conversation was engaging and polite. You reassured him about the time line that Hack had brought to your attention and reiterated you didn’t have any concerns with it. He asked more questions about the sword style you used, and surprisingly offered to let you practice your magic alongside it, if you were so inclined.
Which was far easier than you trying to decide when to broach the subject.
“I’m grateful that your grace is so supportive.” You admit with a smile. “It’s a little jarring comparatively.”
The smile he gives you in return is cheerful. “You’re exceptionally skilled, holding you back for any reason would be silly. My preference is that you’re more skilled as a Guardian than a Sword, but whatever the end result is, I will not be dissatisfied.”
“Why the preference for a Guardian?” There’s no hostility in your voice. It’s hard to consciously decide what category one would fall into. It almost came down to the individual’s natural affinities. Fire could be defensive, but it was more offensive. Water and wind were versatile, but earth was almost entirely a defensive manner of magic.
Divine magic was controlled by the Empires, and anyone born with an affinity for it rarely found freedom among the masses. Advanced Divine magic couldn’t pack the searing punch of ice or lightning, but it was unmatched in utility, and the only magic that could truly heal a person. Saints, however, rarely left the holy lands of Mary Geoise, being available almost exclusively for the Celestial Dragons and no one else.
“Myself aside, I already have seven Swords in my ranks, and one decidedly overworked Guardian.” He explains nonchalantly. “We make it work, but it would be a boon to-.”
“You’re saying I could defend the northern border?” You interject, eyes wide in disbelief.
Sabo blinks. “I… yes, if you want to. I won’t force you.”
The strange feeling in your chest is certainly relief, but you don’t know what to do with it. You set your cutlery down and cover your mouth with a napkin, lowering your head. You can feel the tears coming, and there’s no time for you to leave, so you’re just trying to keep it to yourself.
“… My lady, I promise I won’t make you do anything you don’t want.” Sabo says softly, voice wrapped in compassion.
You shake your head, taking a moment to compose yourself. You might not have been able to stop the tears from falling, but you didn’t want to sound wretched when you weren’t feeling that way at all.
“My apologies, your grace, I just, have always wanted to do so.” You manage, dabbing away the tears at your eyes as the rush of emotions pass. “It’s been a stressful time since I left Lulusia, I promise I’m much better at containing my emotions than this, but this is some of the best news I’ve heard in years.”
Sabo brightens considerably. “Good then, I’m - er - happy to have been of assistance, but you needn’t guard your emotions here. Well, no, I won’t mandate you act a specific way, but you won’t displease me with a show of emotion. Stoicism may be prized among nobility, but there are only a few times when it’s useful.”
“I will keep that in mind, your grace.” You incline your head, a soft smile still on your lips. Not only was the Duke willing to let you hone your favorite skill, but he was also willing to bring you on border expeditions.
With the way things had gone since you arrived at the Duke’s estate, you were a little curious how it was that he had come to have such a wretched reputation amongst the nobility here. You couldn’t imagine it was something that he was doing on purpose, though it might be something he’s since leaned into, whatever caused it.
Sabo was, however, the first person to treat you like a human, and not a commodity, for at least a decade. You couldn’t imagine that such compassion would upset people, for nobles themselves might internalize the parameters within which they exist, but they were still human.
Sabo excused himself once the meal was done and you spent the last few moments of daylight finding something new to read in the library. Koala helped you get ready for bed, and a couple small cantrips provided you enough light to read by, at least for a little while before you turned in completely.
You wondered idly as you tucked the book away and released the motes of light, if Sabo was able to read minds. If not then the day had been quite the collection of happy accidents. The only thing that worried you was how the King would react. Sabo’s father had been very clear about how he felt about his son, and how little he had expected things to work out between you.
With things going this well, it almost felt like you were defying the crown, despite there being no effort to actually do so. It had simply been how things had gone. Sabo was pleasing to look at, and you were both similar in age. Such things were often rare in political marriages, especially when one or more people involved didn’t have much of a say in what was going on.
And neither of you had a say in this.
You wondered what kind of reaction Sterry was having to this, the smile he gave you as you left a week ago still lingering in the back of your mind. He still felt like more of a threat than the king, but it was hard to say in what way.
Something catches your attention and you scramble out of the bed and practically tumble onto the floor as you feel the slice of air barely miss you. It wasn’t magic, but the skill of the sword that cut through the air was masterful.
You cast the small motes of light you’d been using earlier to read, and then overloaded the orbs with magic in a flood. Cantrips were weak spells, and the flood caused them to burst in painfully bright ways. You hear someone snarl and use the spare second to put more distance between you and them.
You get your hand on the door knob and start to open the door when a small dagger shrieks through the air, slamming into the door with enough power to pull it from your grasp, and force it shut. The impact rattles the door and you put your back to it, facing the intruder in your room.
It’s a lithe man, wearing a wide-collared coat, and a wide-brim hat. The long fluffy feather seems a bit much, you think, for an assassin, but you hadn’t heard him enter the room, so his skills were certainly enough to make up for his tastes in hats. The sword on his back is alarmingly large, and it gives you a strange sense, like it’s less a weapon and more the burden he bears.
You put your hands in front of you, standing low. Fighting without a sword is less than ideal, but it’s better to risk injury than to accept death. You’re fast, and as Sabo had said earlier, you’re faster than expected. It might not be enough to best the man before you, but with luck it would be enough to get away from him.
“Death comes for you, and you would defy it?” He questions in a voice low, smooth and clear.
The intensity of his gaze is unsettling, as though you’re a rabbit pierced into place by a hawk, but you nod. Fists and legs tensed, waiting for the right moment to move.
“Admirable.” The sword he’s holding is smaller than the one on his back, larger than the one around his neck, and he drops into his own stance. You don’t recognize it, but there are many self-taught swordsmen who have developed their own style of fighting. He sounds like nobility, from a fallen house, or another continent maybe.
He shifts and you move, no holding back as you charge at him. The intense eyes widen just a little, whether he’s surprised by your speed, or disgusted by the risk you were taking, you couldn’t tell.
There’s almost no telegraph in his movements, he’s certainly a grand master swordsman, but you weren’t watching for anything large, the smallest shift was all you needed to prompt you, and you tumbled down onto the ground. Rolling just under the path of his blade and back on your feet just a step behind his heel.
Your hands wrapped around the cast iron fire poker and you pulled it free with such force that you sent the rest of the tools clattering against the bricks. Bracing it with your other hand you managed to block the swing that threatened to open you from chest to stomach. The weight of the blow was enough that you could feel your bones creaking under it, muscles burning from the exertion of keeping yourself upright.
“I was told I’d find a beast.” You’re not sure if he’s angry or confused, the weight coming off your impromptu weapon, and you stumble a couple steps back, putting a little distance between the two of you. He stays where he is, letting you do so.
The gap in your skills is unsettling, if he’d continued his attack you’re certain you’d be dead already.
“You’re skilled, but you’re no monster in human skin.”
The shattering of a vase in the hall causes both of you to look toward the door a split second before it freezes and shatters. You see Sabo and Hack in the doorway, and you’re fairly certain you see Koala perched up on something from across the hall.
Fire roars into the room toward your assailant, and the crack of a firearm is woven within it. The man cuts both fire and bullet, and you can barely believe what you’re seeing. There’s no marks of magic around him, but the truth of what he’s done is indisputable. Despite this, the fury from Sabo, Hack and Koala doesn’t let up. His sword cuts through their attacks, but he’s certainly being pushed back by the assault.
Sabo rushes forward, bullets and shards of ice accompanying him. The swords man aligns himself with the Duke, letting most of the accompanying attacks slip past him. There’s a strange sound as their swords clash, Sabo’s fire splitting off to either side from the other man’s blade.
Sabo roars, heat and fire rolling off him and forcing the other man back. The Duke shifts to be between you and the assailant, and the support from Hack and Koala renews with vigor. Water and ice snap through the air, keeping the other man preoccupied. You’re certain at least one of Koala’s bullets actually hit him, but he doesn’t seem to have felt it.
Sabo’s foot shifts forward, watching for an opening, but the shift of his weight seems to be enough for the swordsman, and he falls back. His movements are quick and he’s still knocking Hack’s magic aside as he leaps over the small patio, disappearing into the night.
You sit down on the bricks, sighing in relief as tension falls out of your body.
“Koala.” Sabo commands and you hear her say something in response, before you hear footfalls running down the hall. Hack was moving through the room and out the patio doors before Sabo even said his name.
Sabo kept his sword out, eyes moving around the room before he released his own motes of lights to survey the damage and look for any more signs of the assailant. Your bed was nearly cut in half, the door was gone, and there were scorch marks on the floor from Sabo’s magic, and rime in other places from Hack’s own power. Half the curtains and furniture was scorched or filled with bullets.
“Are you hurt?” Sabo questions, eyes still on the room.
“In the strictest sense I am unharmed.” You say evenly. “But certainly sore. I only blocked one strike and my whole body aches.”
Sabo relaxes, sheathing his sword and turning toward you before looking away again. “My apologies that we weren’t here faster.”
You shake your head. “Please don’t apologize, you saved my life. Though from who, or why, I don’t know.”
“Did he say anything?”
“He seemed to think I was a monster.” You murmur, and Sabo turns to look at you, confusion on his face. Looking up at him you shrug. “It would be news to me as well, your grace. I am most certainly my father’s child, and he is most certainly the King of Lulusia’s brother.”
“And… your mother?”
You shrug. “I don’t remember her, but my father spoke fondly of her, and in none of his memories did he mention she had horns, or claws, or anything of the sort.” The tension of the moment breaks for you and you laugh softly. “If she was anything, I imagine he would have called a siren. Some irresistible beauty from which he had no hope of escape, but he was like as not to fall into poetry given the chance.”
Sabo smiles. “Sounds like he loved her truly.”
You nod. “Indeed, your grace.”
He clears his throat, looking back around the room. “Mending isn’t going to save that bed.” He sighs. “I’m afraid we’ll have to see you to another room for tonight, Lady Lulusia.”
“Will you be able to handle it, your grace?” You ask teasingly even as he reaches out a hand to help you to your feet.
He presses his lips together and the motes of light seem to shift specifically to leave his face in shadow. “I will be quite alright.” He insists, stopping before he walks any further. “Er, my apologies.” He says, moving fluidly and picking you up easily.
One hand was wide against your back, the other wasn’t even touching you. He’d hooked your legs with his arm and was keeping his hand off your thigh. Your arms are crossed against your chest, and given his attempts at being considerate despite picking you up thusly, you decide to leave them there.
“Um…?”
“You’re barefoot.”
“I am.”
“There’s ice and ash on the floor, and Koala broke a vase earlier in the hall.” He explains. His words are even, but his eyes are straight ahead, and you can feel tension in his body that’s beyond just him carrying you.
“… You are far more considerate than I’d been led to believe, it seems.”
“I have a tendency to give as I’ve been given, my lady.” He says, a smile pulling at his lips as he relaxes a little. “It seems to upset people more often than not.”
Sabo ascends the stairs and carries you until he reaches a set of doors. He apologizes as he sets you onto your feet easily and opens the doors for you.
“This was going to be your room until the wedding.” He explains. “Since where you were before was a guest room.” This room was a little larger than the guest room, with space enough for afternoon tea to be had with one or two guests. There was a balcony as well, but you could feel magic on the glass unlike on the floor below.
“Quite the security.”
“Mm, security I’m going to have expanded. It was merely a precautionary measure before, and I didn’t believe anyone was skilled or foolish enough to come onto the estate grounds like this.” His brows furrow an he frowns. “Even if it does nothing but slow someone down, tonight has proven that those seconds matter.”
He clears his throat, and gives you a small bow. “I’m just down the hall, so please rest easy, Lady Lulusia.”
Sabo gets a few steps away before you call out to him. “Your grace?”
“Hm?” He turns, looking over at you.
“Thank you.”
His smile is warm, and a little shy. “It was my pleasure, my lady.”

Roronoa Zoro X CisFem Reader
8
A lot of your days were spent with Pops at home. Occasionally you'd go to the office with Marco just to break up the time spent sitting around. Though you were thankful for having such a successful business that afforded you that ability. Running a global security company was always busy but even more so during big travel holiday seasons, and Christmas was coming so the boys were otherwise occupied while you kept Pops company.
You sat on the sofa in the den tucked into the big man's left side swathed in an enormous quilt. Pops snored heavily while you buried your nose in an e-book. He'd found in the later stages of his illness that he slept better sitting up or reclined so he'd practically moved into the den. No one minded, of course, the room was big enough with enough seating that the entire family could collectively spend time with him, and he certainly wasn't complaining about that.
Things with Law has been progressing slowly, very slowly. Many dates had been rescheduled and interrupted. It had been two months and you'd hardly made out. It was starting to get frustrating, not to mention you were reduced to just hanging out for any amount of time he could.
Law: I got out a little early and don't have to be back for 4hrs
Law: do you still have time today?
Me: Ace will be back in 30 mins then I can head over to yours
Me: should I bring food?
Law: I have that taken care of
Law: see you soon then
You were holding out some hope that his schedule would get a little less hectic and you could spend some longer periods of time together rather than short bursts. He was sweet enough to call and text when he could during the day though.
___________
The door practically swung open before you could even knock. Tattooed fingers gently wrapped around your wrist tugging you into the dimly lit apartment. Law smirked and backed you into the door effectively shutting it. He closed in the space between you quickly capturing your lips in a desperate kiss. You were definitely surprised but welcomed his touch as you had been patiently waiting for it all this time. His lips trailed over your jaw and around the shell of your ear sending uncontrollable shivers through you.
"I thought we could start with dessert." he purred.
That was all you needed to hear before lust completely took over. Finally, you could see where those interrupted make-out sessions were leading.
You cuddled in your afterglow not worried about the clothes strewn about the room or the food that had long since gone cold in the kitchen. Finally, you'd connected with your boyfriend on an intimate level, but you couldn't help the feeling that something was off.
Law had fallen asleep beside you content in your warmth, it was a rarity for him to sleep so you decided to leave him be until he absolutely had to get up and go back to the hospital.
____________
Nami sat with Luffy on the floor in the living room accusing him of cheating in the current round of Mario Kart. Ace reentered the room handing Zoro a beer as he sat watching the couple in front of him bicker.
"We haven't seen much of you lately." Ace commented.
"I picked up extra shifts at the bar and Uber in my off time. The holidays make for good over time." Zoro replied easing back into the recliner.
He'd been quietly wondering where you were. Though you texted often he tried to refrain from overdoing it. He didn't want to overwhelm you or make you think he was hitting on you or something. It was ridiculous logic really.
"Where's F/N?" Sabo asked as if on cue, taking a seat with Al on the sofa.
"She ran off to Law's as soon as I got home." Ace answered taking a swig of beer.
"I didn't know they had a date today." the blond murmured glancing discreetly at the greenette.
Zoro knew you had a boyfriend; you'd felt bad about not saying anything initially, but you almost never talked about him so bringing him up was always a tiny shock to the system.
"I think it was more of a booty call. She was in a hurry and said he had to go back to work." Ace scoffed.
Al smacked his knee.
"Hey!" he protested eyes trailing up to see the glare on Sabo's face, "what?!"
Zoro stood abruptly, "...I'm gonna get some fresh air." he quickly stepped out onto the porch which was shimmering with Christmas lights.
"What?" Ace repeated after Zoro left the room, "What'd I do? What's up with him?"
"You have no delicacy," Al muttered crossing her arms.
"It's pretty obvious that idiot likes your sister." Nami piped still focused on her match with Luffy.
"How the hell was I supposed to know? Sabo brought it up why'd I get hit?" his voice raised an octave with every question.
"Because I was trying to stir him a little, maybe motivate him," Sabo replied, "not break his heart."
"But I didn't know!" Ace defended, "Besides she's with Law."
Al rolled her eyes.
"It's also pretty obvious that she likes him back," Nami added flatly.
"They are both too stubborn," Al commented.
"She thinks he thinks she's too old, and he thinks she thinks he's too young."
Luffy laughed gaining everyone's attention, "They are dumb."
Everyone deadpanned.
Nami swiftly pushed him over, "We covered that."
"So, are you trying to break them up?" your freckled brother asked.
"Short answer? Yes," Sabo started, "but I think if pushed gently in the right direction maybe they'll come together naturally."
"I don't think Law's a great match for her anyway," Nami added.
"Why didn't I know about any of this?" Ace's shoulders dropped.
"You ruin stuff." Luffy blurted.
Sabo shrugged, "With his schedule, I'm not sure it'll last too long."
"Why are you trying so hard though?"
"He just wants her to be happy," Al replied brushing her fingertips across Sabo's cheek.
"Who?" everyone turned wide-eyed toward your voice as you and Zoro stood in the entryway.
Luffy raised his hand pointing above your heads drawing your gazes to the mistletoe you'd forgotten you hung a few days ago.
"You have to kiss." he chuckled.
Damn you for teaching him that and smothering him with kisses when he was little.
Zoro had stiffened next to you losing all the color in his face, "Uh - no it's fine."
You chuckled reaching up to cup his face, "Don't be silly, it's the rule."
Gently you tugged him down and placed a chaste kiss on his cold scarred cheek. His eye had closed instinctively allowing your perfume to fill his senses, he would have loved the moment to last more than a fraction of a second. You stepped back with an adorable blush and small crooked smile, it was as if no one else existed until, of course, Luffy burst into laughter.
"She did it!" he called catching a throw pillow to the face from Nami.
"Alright, are you guys hungry? I'll cook - I'm starving." You cleared your throat removing your scarf leaving the greenette frozen in his place.

Dadan loved all of her brats equally, but Ace death had to hit her so fucking hard because as shitty as Ace was when angry, as rude and violent they'd be with each other, as frequent the insults and fights and 'I ain't doing the laundry, old hag!' were, as strained her relationship with him could be at times, Dadan had raised him since he was a baby.
again, not to say she cared more about Ace, or held him on dearer level than Luffy and Sabo, but almost from the very moment he was born until he was ten, the only thing Ace could semi-call a family was her and the Dadan family. at first she probably couldn't give less of a shit about a baby she didn't want and now was under her care, she probably told the rest of the mountain bandits to look after him, that maybe she owed Garp, but this was crossing the goddamn line. but at some point she would get so annoyed at the constant cries of both the baby and the bandits that she would be the one doing almost everything Ace related.
imagine if Ace wouldn't and couldn't fall asleep unless Dadan was the one to held him, if he didn't grab a handful of hair to remind himself who was the one rocking him then he wouldn't stop crying, Dadan knew a handful of things about babies, so imagine how proud and happy that he wouldn't babble uncomfortably anymore she was when patting him in the back helped him with colics. yes she liked when the brat would shut up but she didn't mind it that much when he started talking, and yeah, whatever, maybe her heart did this weird shit were it felt extremely full when his first word was something close to her name.
imagine when he started walking, when he started to play by himself outside, all of the Dadan family was involved when it came to Ace, since with time they got the hand of raising a child, but Dadan, who loved to pretend she was annoyed by Ace's very existence, was the first to raise when Ace fell, she didn't help him, but she did scold him and everyone understood what she meant by 'stop being so reckless you little shit!'
imagine, too, when Ace's heart started to grow with hate around it, when he started to spend less and less time inside and instead went around asking what they called The Question, when he went from seven to eight to nine to ten just hunting and going all the way to the Gray Terminal beating the shit out of most people. Dadan knew the brat since he was the chubbiest, baldest and loudest baby ever and now, now Ace, far too young to be worrying about the significance of his own life, wouldn't even look at her when he explained what he spent his day doing, at that point what could she do, really? her, who only gave him a roof and food because she was scared of the man who told her to take him in, Ace wasn't his father and the bastard sins weren't his to bear, and yet, yet he still had his blood on him. his mother should be there with him, not a mountain bandit who didn't know what to say to make the kid understand he wasn't a mistake
he was the devil's son, and her life would probably be better if she never knew the brat in the first place, and even so, she spent her every waking moment worrying about him and the life he'd led when he grew up. Dadan raised him, from a baby to an angry child to a caring teenager, the good that started to be his normal certainly wasn't thanks to her, but she was still there for him, so she thinks that counts for something
Ace thought about her on his last moments, Dadan would never stop thinking about the brat she took the liberty to call hers.

Chapter 4: Decisions, Decisions
CP9 Headquarters, NWC Central District
It had already been too long.
The chances of finding you decreased the longer you were missing. The thought of being out of arms reach of you for this long was painful enough, and he knew it would only get worse as time marched on. Watching you, touching you, savoring your scent. His memories of you weren't enough anymore. Being in your presence and experiencing something new from you, it was the only way he could calm his tormented mind.
And finally tasting you again. After so very long. If that didn't make him lose himself, the look on your face after he kissed you certainly did. You actually smiled at him. And it wasn't the wry grin you wore when you thought you were being cheeky, it was genuine happiness, contentment. He had only seen you look at him like that once before, and like a sickness invading his very being, it left the feeling of something warm blooming in his chest. Something more than the feral desires you always seemed to elicit from him.
God, he wanted that feeling back. He would do anything to see you look at him like that again. And if he couldn't have that, he would have the next best thing. He would break through your icy shell like he had done so many times before. He would make you feel something for him as intensely as he felt for you. And if he couldn't have your adoration, he would gladly accept your fear. As long as the intensity was enough. As long as you felt it only for him. He would make you experience fear like you never had before. You deserved it after everything you did to him.
They would know that fear soon enough, everyone who dared to help in your foolish escape.
If you didn't have help, he would have already had you back where you belonged. He would be providing you with the appropriate punishment at this very moment. His nostrils flared at the thought.
"Are you even listening to me?"
How long had she been standing there droning on?
"Report," Lucci demanded coldly.
Kalifa's posture remained poised and professional even as she let out an exasperated sigh. "We tracked her signal to an abandoned warehouse on the edge of the West District city limits. It seems her tracker was removed and left there. We were able to leverage a few other departments to assist in raiding the remaining safe houses we know about, but there has been no other trace of her."
Lucci sat at the small conference table with one leg crossed over the other. He remained staring out the window as she spoke, taking in the quiet city below.
"You really made a mess of this one. I don't know how you got your little project approved in the first place. She was never going to be one of us, especially with you training her. If you wanted a pet, you should have locked it up at home, not brought it in and pretended to give it a job."
Lucci turned a menacing eye toward Kalifa. "If there's nothing else."
Time, it seemed, was not on his side. He didn't care to entertain whatever misplaced opinions she had, especially when it came to him and especially when it came to you. No, the longer you spent away from him the more time those terrorists had to fill your pretty little head with lies. It didn't matter what you were before he found you. You belonged with him now. She may have been right about one thing though. He should have kept you locked away where no one could find you.
"There is one other thing," Kalifa's tone maintained it's callous professionalism. "Orders from above are to kill her on sight. After your embarrassing display in the subway, they don't want to risk her giving away information about our organization."
"She didn't know anything vital. Even if she told them everything she knew, it wouldn't give them an advantage over us."
"I think you and I both know her very existence gives them an advantage over you." She watched him carefully behind her pristine glasses. "Even if I'm wrong about that, would you actually consider going against their orders?"
Lucci stood and fully turned to face his fellow CP9 member. When he spoke, his tone was as cold and callous as hers was. "We're intelligence officers... We don't care who we face if we have orders."
"Good. Now that that is clear, I'm heading down to finished questioning the criminals we picked up from the station. They aren't anyone we have files on, likely new recruits. We will have to be efficient if we are to get anything out of them before they expire. I really wish you had been more careful with them, but I supposed it's rare for you to leave anyone breathing at all."
"I'll speak with them as well."
Kalifa turned to leave but shot Lucci one last glare in warning. "Fine, but don't expect to use that machine on them. Besides the fact that using it on your little Sparrow started this whole mess, Vegapunk has them restricted from use after one of the prototypes went missing."
Lucci's eyes narrowed. She turned to exit without waiting more than a moment for a response. If she suspected him of anything more than she had already explicitly stated, there was no way she was willing to confront him or report him to anyone else. Despite how she held herself, it was clear that she was afraid of him.
He saw her fear through her plastic façade, and it disgusted him. It was so pathetically basic. He remembered the fear on the faces of those who took you from him. It was palpable. He could smell it even as they hid themselves like rats in the shadows. Their fear wasn't misplaced though. For those who managed to remain alive, he looked forward to watching that expression cement into their features as they left this life.
They wouldn't answer his questions. If the flame emperor was involved, and he was, the fodder he left behind wouldn't know anything of worth. That didn't mean they were completely useless though.
Whatever he decided to do next, he would have to be careful. He had to get to you before any other agents could. Once he had you back, he could lock you away where no one else could touch you again. Whether it was the RA, the government, or any other pest who thought they could keep you away from him, it didn't matter. He would cage his Sparrow again no matter who tried to stop him.
Before he could make any of that happen, he had one more thing he needed to do while it was still fresh in his mind.
----------
Kid's Body Shop, NWC South District
"What the hell is this?"
Kid moved to the side and turned towards the kitchen entrance, allowing you to see two slightly flustered blonds in the doorway.
Before either of you could answer, Sabo took quick strides to where you still sat atop the kitchen counter. "When we saw you weren't in the office..."
He trailed off as he took in the sight of you. You were calm, and despite the alcohol you were holding, it was obvious now that you were just here attempting to clean yourself up.
"I need to tell you something, and it might be difficult to hear," Sabo began, shifting his gaze to his own feet.
"I already know," you replied matter-of-factly.
Sabo and Killer turned to glare at Kid.
"What the hell, Eustass?" Sabo's frustration was felt in every word. "I thought we agreed-"
Kid dramatically rolled his eyes at the blond before interrupting him. "I didn't agree to shit, and I didn't tell her either."
"I picked the locks on my handcuffs and listened to everything you said from the hallway," you stated calmly before taking another sip of your beer and glancing back towards Kid. "You really should invest in better restraints if you plan on trying to tie me up again."
Kid raised a brow and sent you a wicked grin that Sabo didn't miss. Before either of them could respond, Killer broke the tension.
"You seem awfully calm about all of this."
"Yeah, I guess I should probably be freaking out, huh?" You replied thoughtfully before turning to Sabo. "I'm not sure why you would lie, but I'm not sure I believe it. Either way, it seems like you don't want to torture or kill me right now, so it's a big step up from Cipher Pol."
Sabo fumbled with his wallet a few moments before freeing a small item and handing it to you.
It was a photograph. The edges were worn, and it had a slight discoloration from what looked like being left in the sun for too long. In the center, there were two people laughing, each with an arm around the other's shoulder. A blond boy with bright blue eyes who looked around seventeen and a slightly younger girl. That strange feeling of familiarity was creeping back into your gut. You brushed your thumb across the smaller of the two deliriously happy figures in your hands. It was you.
"That's, uh," you started, pausing to let out a long sigh. "Ok, so maybe I do believe it."
It made sense. Even without the photographic evidence of you being all chummy with the second most powerful person in the Revolutionary Army, it made sense. You hated your life with CP9, and it only took a year with them to risk death over staying there another minute. They never gave you any details about yourself more than what was necessary. At the time, you assumed it was because they were all assholes who cared more about their orders than their own people. Well, that was true, but the secrecy could all too easily be explained by the fact that they didn't actually know any details about you. You hated how easily you accepted their lies, but at the time being one of them had made sense. You already had the skills of an agent ingrained in you, even if you didn't have your memory. That along with who you saw when you first woke up and what you saw him doing...
"So what happens now?"
You needed to stop dwelling on things in the past that you couldn't hope to change, and you needed to start looking to the future. You definitely had things you wanted. Getting your memories back was still number one on your list, but now you had a second goal that might be more attainable. The only problem was you didn't know enough about the people in this room. Before you would let them in on your intensions, you needed to trust that they wouldn't try to stop you when the time came.
"Right now, we have to prioritize keeping you safe and hidden from the government. And as soon as we can, I'd like to get you looked at by a doctor."
You perked up a bit at that idea. "To look at my brain?"
"Exactly," Sabo grinned. "We are going to do whatever we can to get your memories back."
You were trying hard not to get your hopes up, but you couldn't stop yourself from smiling.
"We're still trying to find somewhere we can bring you in the meantime. In the last few hours, eight of our safe houses have been raided."
Your smile fell instantly. "They got raided after I left. Were they...," You swallowed hard. "The ones that were raided... Did I know about them?"
Sabo studied your face. You could tell he knew exactly what you were thinking. You didn't want to believe you were a rat, especially if you had been with the RA as long as they claimed. Just like that your head was swimming again with questions you couldn't answer.
"There's no way to know how or when they came across that intel. I can promise you this, though. The (Y/n) who disappeared would have sooner died than give up anything on her friends." It was strange. Even though you couldn't remember speaking to him before a few hours ago, you knew he wasn't lying to you. "Right now we need to focus on keeping you hidden. I'll have to take you with me until we can find a place. It's a bit risky but-"
"Tsh. A bit risky?" Kid snorted.
"Didn't you mention CP9 had a 'special interest' in catching her?" Killer agreed.
"It's not just CP9. Lucci will take this personally." Sabo sent you a look that said he'll definitely be asking you more about that later, and you avoided his gaze by glancing at the digital clock on the wall. "It's been over 4 hours since I ran. I'm guessing you took me here straight away, right? If he had any suspicion that I could be here, he wouldn't hesitate. And I don't see anyone banging down the doors to this place, so it's safe to say they have no idea I'm here. If they are busting up your safe houses, they want to flush me out. Moving me now, especially without another secure location available, is exactly what they want us to do."
Killer turned his attention to Kid, but he was busy scowling at a blank space on the wall, idly flipping the knife in his hand.
You couldn't risk getting caught now, not before you got the chance to get a second opinion on your messed up brain.
"I won't be any trouble," you tried.
All three men gave you skeptical looks.
"Ok, I won't be any more trouble. Honestly, I'll curl up on a pile of tires or chill behind some boxes. You won't even know I'm here."
Sabo didn't wait for Kid to reply. "I'm afraid that's not an option. I can't afford to continue paying them to hide you here."
Damn. Maybe you shouldn't have gone so hard at the redhead earlier. Offering you a beer was more hospitality than you should have expected anyway. The way those two spoke, it was clear that they weren't really a part of the Revolutionary Army. Even if they were, you had willingly taken part in missions working against the RA for the last several months. They had no reason to help you further, and you had nothing to give them in return.
"Alright," you sighed. "What's the plan then? Some sort of disguise so I won't get spotted?"
"She can stay."
The two blonds turned towards Kid in surprise. He was still looking away as he spoke, but he casually turned to Sabo as if he was agreeing to nothing more than lending him a pencil.
"I still expect what you already agreed to though."
Killer continued eyeing Kid while Sabo turned back to you. You gave him a sheepish smile. You wanted him to be ok with the situation, and you didn't know if it was because you needed his help or because you were starting to like that strangely familiar feeling you got when he looked at you with those striking blue eyes.
Sabo turned to Kid. "You don't do anything for free."
"I don't willing help the damn government get what they want either. Shut up before I change my mind," Kid huffed, turning to Killer as he strode out of the room. "Shop opens in a few hours. Take her upstairs to crash, and make sure she fucking stays put this time."
Crashing sounded good. Almost as good as knowing you didn't have to spend the next who knows how many hours trying to find another hiding place. With the absolutely absurd realizations that came to light in the last few hours, you looked forward to another dreamless sleep where you didn't have to face your new bizarre reality.
You looked down at your hands to find you were still holding Sabo's picture. You held it out for him to take, but he shook his head.
"Keep it. I have more." His smile was sweet but laced with regret. He held up a gentle hand but stopped before he could touch you. "I'll contact you as soon as I can."
And with that, Sabo was gone, leaving you alone with Killer.
You knew he was waiting to take you upstairs, so you got ready to jump off the counter. You hesitated as you looked down at the kitchen floor. It wasn't as bad as the train station by far, but dammit you just got done cleaning off your feet. You were wondering how you might convince them to let you borrow some shoes when you noticed Killer had moved to stand in front of you. He turned his back to you and crouched down.
You blinked a few times. "What are you doing?"
"You just cleaned off your feet right? Hop on. We have to cross through the shop to get to the stairs, and I'd rather you not track any of that through my room."
You slipped yourself onto Killer's back, wrapping your arms loosely around his neck. He held onto your thighs just above your knees as you let him carry you to-
"Wait, did you say you're taking me to your room?"
"If you prefer, I can leave you in Kid's."
"Uh, I, um," you stuttered as you wondered if they actually did expect something in return for letting you stay with them.
Killer's shoulders moved up and down as he suppressed a chuckle. "Don't worry, girl. No one will go into my room while you're in there, including me."
His room was surprisingly spacious and clean. It even had a small attached bath, and you were eager to wash the rest of the grime off of you with a hot shower as soon as the large blond man stopped hovering by the door.
"Alright, well, thanks again. I'm just going to shower and crash now," you hinted for him to get the fuck out.
"There's just one other thing that's been bothering me."
"Just one thing?" You quipped.
"Yeah, I have to admit. I've been dying to know ever since you mentioned it back in the office."
He didn't seem like the type to beat around the bush, but he was hesitating. You raised a brow and motioned with your hand for him to ask what was on his mind already.
"What exactly did Sabo do on the train that made you think he was a pervert?"
Of all the things to be bothered by after everything he learned about you, and that was what was on his mind. You didn't even try to stifle your giggles as you approached him at the door.
"He didn't do anything."
You laughed harder as he tiled his head at you in obvious disbelief.
"Goodnight, Killer. And thanks again for everything."
He waved you off and retreated into the hall as you closed the door and locked it. You leaned against the door and breathed deeply. It must have been the lack of sleep and traumatic evening mixing with your beer, because thinking about these three new people in your life had you grinning like an idiot.
What had you gotten yourself into?

Dating Sabo had been a lesson in whiplash. The bright smile and beautiful blue-eyed man had won your heart with clumsy courting, rumpled flowers, and a sense of fashion that was unique and exceptionally well-suited to him. Sometimes he would walk and talk like an aristocrat, and when you found out he did in fact come from money, you weren't surprised. Sometimes he would move with fury and almost animalistic instinct, and when you met his brothers, well, again you weren't surprised.
He could speak in poetry, and with enough alcohol he could also be convinced to belch his ABCs.
The more you got to know him, the more you loved him. The more you wanted him, and the more you wanted to sink deeper into him, and over the last couple of years you had gone from acquaintances, to friends, to lovers.
Now, here you were, sinking deeper into one another.
The tight dress with its hand-stitched flowers smelled lightly of lilac and dried fennel. It felt like cotton and shifted like silk, and the lacy details were thankfully against the dress and not your skin. It had taken nearly an hour to get into the monstrosity, and Sabo had needed a break afterward to clean up from the sweat he'd broken into after man-handling you into layer upon layer of under garments, corset, and skirts.
Though, half-way through getting some of the undergarments in place, you had both opted to skip them. So, you sat at the table, wet between your thighs for lack of anything else down there, and hoping you wouldn't accidentally ruin the dress from your own horniness while quietly sharing a meal with Sabo.
You had been learning etiquette specifically for this little session, the two of you exploring your need to be dominated, and Sabo's desire to turn his aristocratic knowledge into something positive for himself, but the few days of lecture prior to this hadn't been quite enough. Which, admittedly, had been kind of the point.
Finishing the first part of the meal, Sabo regards you with an even smile. He carefully trades the plates out, setting the new course before you before seating himself. Leaning back you can feel his eyes on you and the heat rising in your face.
After a moment of him not moving you look over and meet the unexpectedly devious smirk of his with a nervous smile. "Is there... an issue?" You ask uncertainly.
Sabo's hands are folded in his lap and the smile he gives you is cheerful. "You waited until I began to eat the last time, before you chose what cutlery to use." He points out, and you can feel your stomach drop a bit. "I'm simply waiting for you to pick up the correct items on your own, love."
Ah.
Looking down at the options before you, you take a moment to consider which ones are correct. You tried to remember the lessons for this, but there were ten pieces of cutlery in front of you, and you had barely paid any mind to how to set a place setting, never mind how to utilize one.
Sabo stood up and came over to you while you took time to ponder. Standing behind you his gloved hands slip over your bare shoulders, squeezing gently as he leans down a little. The action nearly shatters your brain, and certainly dashes away the memory of your lessons.
"Struggling a bit, are we?" His voice is low, polite, gentle, and deadly all at the same time. You can feel your skin prickle from it.
"Not at all," you reply, doing your best to sound confident. "I was simply taking a moment to admire the chef's hard work, is all." You assure him, with a smile and a turn of your shoulders, before reaching down and picking up what you hoped were the right items.
Sabo's fingers tense against your shoulders after you've made your choice and his voice holds you in place more than his hands.
"Oh dear, you've picked the wrong fork." He says, his hands sliding down your arms, his taller frame allowing him to cover your hands with his own as he leans against your back. "Whatever shall we do about your manners?"
"For-forgiveness is divine," you manage the words evenly, but you can already feel yourself falling into him.
"Are we forgiving your incorrect choice?" He muses, breath hot against your ear. "Or the insult of not having taken your teacher's lessons to heart?" His tongue is hot against the curve of your ear, but you can't shiver or cry out. To do so would be another breach of etiquette.
"... The choice." You say, your voice is steady but quiet, well aware of the fuel you have provided him. "We are forgiving the incorrect c-choice." Your words falter as he removes the cutlery from your hands and sets it on the table, his lips and teeth grazing the skin of your neck as he moves to do so.
"Then, as your teacher, I will take your punishment to heart, my love." He promises you, gently but firmly helping you stand.
"We... haven't finished eating, isn't it rude to leave now?" You're not escaping the inevitable, but it would be nice to have a meal beforehand.
"I rather think it'd be best for you to not have a full stomach for this." He assures you, as a new delicious shiver runs down your spine.
He moves you almost like he means to dance, fluidly waltzing lazily through the dining room, spinning you around like one of the dances he's taught you. The lack of music gives the whole experience a manic edge, but you let him lead you as best as you're able. After a few lazy movements, he pulls you in close, kissing you sweetly at first, and then deeply and roughly as your back is pressed against the wall.
Sabo had treated you like glass when you had first started going out, and it had taken some time for him to be assured that you weren't so fragile. You're mindful of the snakebite piercings as you return the passionate kiss, his hands holding your wrists against the wall as his tongue pushes deep into your mouth, stealing all manner of sense and air from you. The dizzying sensation causes you heart to race and you're panting heavily when he finally allows you to draw breath.
"You seem out of breath, my love," he muses, a manic edge in his voice as he pushes you down onto your knees. "It's good then, that your punishment requires you to kneel before me."
You reach to help Sabo undo his pants when he takes a step back from you. "Ah-ah-ah, hands in your lap. Just because you're on your knees for punishment, doesn't mean you get to sit like some commoner. Sit properly."
"Yes sir." You say as you straighten your back and place your hands in your lap.
"Good." The praise is simple, but you're happy to hear it. Sabo frees his cock from the confines of pants, gripping it with one gloved hand as he steps onto the excess of your skirts, pinning you to the floor as he draws closer. "Open your mouth and stick out your tongue."
You do as commanded, and look up at Sabo as he's looking down at you. He smiles approvingly as he begins to rub the tip along your tongue. The salty taste of precum mixes with your saliva as he wets his stiff flesh against your tongue before pushing in deeper.
"Keep looking at me as I ravage that pretty little mouth of yours." He commands. One hand is braced against the wall as his hips push his dick into your mouth. You flex your tongue against his shaft and catch the soft appreciative gasp.
You start to press your lips against him, ready and willing to provide all the pleasure you can, when a strong grip on your hair pulls your head back a little. There's a soft chuckle from him that nearly steals your breath.
"No, love. This isn't you pleasuring me, this is me punishing you." He smiles darkly as he pushes his cock deep down your throat. "Do try to maintain your etiquette during this."
You have to grip the fabric of your skirts to stop from reaching up and holding onto him as he begins to fuck your mouth as he pleases. You suck in shaky gulps of air when the opportunity presents itself, and do your best to be quiet. You try not to groan or gag audibly, though the rough pace of his cock down your throat has watered your eyes and run your makeup.
"That's a good girl, look at you, trying so hard." His voice is shaky, but the praise makes you want to try harder. "When your – hgnh! – throat twitches it's hard to, haah, keep my composure."
Your face was a mess as Sabo fucks your mouth. You can feel drool slipping along your chin and dripping onto your chest. Tears cut lines down your face and snot from gagging was making it harder to breathe. Just as you felt you were going to have to end things in order to avoid passing out he releases you, pulling himself out of your mouth and using his gloved hand to urge his cum onto your face, chest, and dress.
You move enough to clean your face so you can see and breath again, but you don't wipe away the semen he's covered you in. When you're done you put your hands back in your lap as Sabo takes a moment to catch his breath, and put his pants back in order.
He kneels down, legs on either side of yours, and slides a finger up the front of your neck, curling it a little as he tilts your chin up slightly. "You look so beautiful when I make a mess of you," he muses, leaning forward and licking some of the mess from your cheek. "I should think I'd like to do so more often." His gaze holds yours for a moment before he leans in and kisses you.
You touch his face gently, letting your fingers twist among the loose curls of his golden blonde hair. As he leans back you smile and kiss the tip of his nose. "As often as you like. The corset aside, this getup isn't too terribly uncomfortable."
"Mm, how easy was it to breathe?" He asks, looking over the mess of the rumpled dress with a few errant stains drying on it.
"Not bad. It just feels weird to be so inflexible."
Sabo smiles. "Perhaps next time I should endeavor to tighten it more thoroughly. We don't want anyone thinking you're attempting to 'bandy about naked', after all." The way he says the words makes it seem like he's quoting someone, and you imagine it's his mother, given the tone he takes.
You smirk, draping your arms over his shoulders. "Why, good gentleman Sabo, did you leave my corset loose to take advantage of me on this fine day?" You ask, in mock horror, practically giggling even as you make an exaggerated motion of nearly fainting.
"Oh, most assuredly miss," he replies as he begins to lay you flat on the floor. "But even better would be for you to lay back and allow me to acquaint myself with your skirts."
"With my skirts?" You start to ask as Sabo hands you his hat before lifting your skirts and disappearing under them. "Sabo what're you- Hhnngnhaahhh... hnnf...fuck." Before you can even catch up to his intentions his mouth is buried between your thighs.
His tongue and lips lap against and suck your sensitive clit and his fingers slip into your dripping cunt with ease. You had been soaking wet since the meal had begun, and you were gasping into Sabo's hat as he went to work, devouring you like a man starved for his favorite meal.
"S-Sabo! M-Mercy!" You cry as the pleasure coils in you faster than any time before. You're going to cum before you can even begin to beg for it. You don't know if he heard you from under the layers of skirts, but an extra finger pushes into you as he sucks on your clit with renewed vigor and the rush of pleasure tenses your body like you've been electrified.
Your hips buck as your back arches and your toes are curling so hard you can feel the muscles in your thighs clench, forcing Sabo to push your legs open as he helps you ride out the hard orgasm by abusing your tender clit. By the time you're coming down from the high your whole body is shaking and twitching from the violent rush of pleasure.
Sabo comes back up from under your skirts, wiping his mouth with the back of his hand, a satisfied smile on his face as he lazily crawls on the floor until he's by your side, pulling you into his chest as he kisses the top of your head. "That was a beautiful little song," he hums, petting your hair and giving you a chance to catch your breath.
"You... say that... often." You pant, your head still swimming with pleasure.
"Mm, that's because you make the most beautiful sounds, little song bird." He assures you leaning down and kissing you quickly so you can continue to catch your breath. "And as beautiful as you sound, you are twice as lovely."
You put his hat over your face as you feel yourself go red. "... that's just cruel." You pout.
"Eh? Ehhh?! I – I meant it-!" You move the hat aside and pull him down into a kiss interrupting him as the concerned look on his face turns to one of surprise.
"Embarrassing me is cruel, Sabo." You clarify, giving him a kind smile. "I don't know what to do when you call me beautiful."
He smiles, and it's just as beautiful as you're sure he sees you. "Then, shall I tell you every day until you figure out what to do?"
"... It could take me a long time," you point out as he leans down and kisses you softly.
"Days?" He questions with another gentle kiss.
"More."
"Weeks?" he prompts, kissing you again.
"Far longer, dear Sabo."
"Be it months, or years, I shall stay by your side until you sort it out." He promises, kissing you yet again.
"And beyond that?"
"By then there'll be many more things for us to sort out, and so I shall stay beside you and puzzle this love for years."

[Self Ship Drabble] Sweet Kisses
It wouldn't leave my mind hahaha... So uhhh... Enjoy my rushed writing. 😅
Tumblr media
“Alright, let's see how you like this one.” Vega picked up a piece of chocolate that she had made. The both of them were just sitting on his bed this evening. The assortment was certainly a bit vast. Never did Sabo expect to see a pink piece of chocolate, let alone a few in the box he was given. He had insisted on having Vega feed these to him, seeing as she put so much love & care into them.
He would have the next piece of confectionery settle in his mouth, letting it gradually melt. The piece of dark chocolate had an orange filling in it, yet he didn't say anything to her in terms of what he thought about it. His silence was a bit longer than usual this time around, which concerned Vega.
“Is something wrong with it?” There was just this worried tone in her voice, as if she was scared that she might have messed up. Surely, it was fine… right?
Sabo would soon lay one of his gloved hands on her shoulder, giving her a gentle smile before speaking.
“No… I just think that I shouldn't experience the taste of this one by myself… So…” He would get closer, not letting Vega say anything more as he suddenly kissed her. Taking advantage of her parted lips, he would make this sweet kiss go deeper as he closed his eyes. The flavor of the orange filled dark chocolate would linger within their mouths as their tongues mingled.
The taste of the chocolate was creamy & bittersweet, with the orange filling adding a refreshing note to it all. During this, slight sounds of delight would come from Vega. It was clear that she did enjoy the sudden gesture.
After about a minute or so, he parted from the kiss. His eyes opened once more to see Vega all flustered. She would cover her cheeks, still processing what her boyfriend had just done.
“W-well… Oh my…” she started, averting her gaze from Sabo, who was now laughing at her reaction.
“That was wonderful, my honeybun. I really enjoyed that a lot more than I expected to.” His tone was light, almost melodic to some degree. Whether he meant the kiss or the chocolate was anyone's guess. “I feel like we should do this with the rest of the confectionaries you made, don't you agree? Maybe… we could do something more afterwards as well?”
Vega didn't say anything as she gazed into Sabo's gray eyes once more, noting that they were half-lidded now. If she had to admit, she was practically speechless from the French kiss. All she could do was nod at him, a slight whimper escaping her lips as she did so.
“Good! Shall we get started again? I think we should try one of the ruby chocolate pieces next…”

i had to wake up early today for work too and really ddint want to get up so in solidarity heres the mas thoughts ive been having (i think because of you?? idr)
vamp sabo and ace living together as a roommate situation and sabo refusing to bite ace right?? so ace wonders into the magic part of town (accidentally on purpose) to ask advice on "how to get my vampire boyfriend to bite me" and shit. wanders into a wb owned shop and like gets to talking and theyre like ?? a human why do u want to be bitten and shit
and then hes like complaining destressing about how hes been walking around half naked and baring his neck and his obviously hungry and wants it bf just!! wont bite!! him!!!!!
anyways wb pirates are a mix of magical creatures but the only vamp among them is marco and hes like hmm tell me more. even better if ace has a relationship with the whitebeards and hangs out with them sometimes but they never knew about sabo and he finally broke cuz he needs advice
but then sabo finds him and equivalent of scruffs his neck like "this is so dangerous what are you /doing/" as if wb hadnt been trying to recruit ace for years (That is Exactly why it is dangerous u fckn idiot -sabo probably)
and then like thralls ace to sleep and ready to like skedaddle but instead gets pinned against a wall by marco like "Haven't met you before, Ace seems enamoured."
"So?" and tries to scramble away but just gets pinned harder
"You obviously care for him, why not give in to his wants and take a bite? it won't kill him." as if he didnt know, ace must have told them how sabo was too scared of accidentally hurting him permanently.
As if Sabo could barely keep from draining him on a good day. His brow twitches
"I'm not going to hurt him." he says simply, but Marco won't let it go presses in harder, makes Sabo feel light and woozy.
"When were you turned? Your instincts seem too strong for how controlled you seem to be."
Usually, Sabo would tell him to fuck off, he did damn well good controlling his instincts, even when he woke up injured and angry and bloodthirsty and alone.
Instead, he gasps, Marco's touch feeling like tendrils on his skin, mind clouded, "Almost a year now."
Marco's brow raises.
"Without a sire?" because there was no way a vampire would leave his newly turned unattended this early on.
Sabo growls, thinks about those monsters, tries to pull himself out of the fog Marco has surrounded him with, with little luck. Finds himself answering instead, eyes watering from the attempt.
"I don't need one," he answers, squirming, "The one who turned me was a celestial dragon, and left me for dead."
"You have amazing willpower," Marco praises, "To resist me for so long. And so young too, poor thing."
The pity scratches Sabo the wrong way, but Marco's eyes show mirth, and that's the only thing that stops Sabo from truly fighting back. The pity was a tease, and Ace liked these people. Forced himself into calm and Marco laughed.
"I see. You handle yourself well," a hand cups his cheek, the smile on Marco's face creasing his eyes, so kind it sours, "But It'd be far easier for you to navigate this with a sire."
The pressure seems to increase pressing into the creases of his mind, makes him gasp and arch into Marco the fucker, so hard to keep his wits about him when Marco's voice was so prevalent.
"I'll be kind," he says.
A sire, it'd certainly make things easier, but he refused to be tied down, controlled, made into something he wasn't, made to do things he didn't want-
"I won't be chained," Sabo answers, too slowly, like wading through mud.
"You're a good kid. It'll keep both you and Ace safe," Marco coos, "It won't be long before vampire hunters are on your trail, one mistake, and they'll treat you like a feral," he strokes Sabo's face again, so gentle it burns, "Not to mention when Ace awakens, halfs are hated by both worlds, you'd do well to listen to your elders."
"Ace..." he trails off, to keep Ace safe, he'd do anything. It'd been the thing that kept him going half-starved and mad with it. He couldn't hurt Ace, had to push through, had to, "It'll protect Ace?"
He felt like he was drowning, Marco's words echoing in his head, drowzy and knees weak.
"Yes," he chuckles, "I should've known Ace was your weakness," he says, "I can't imagine how hard it was to turn alone, it will be easier, I'll guide you. I'm not a cruel man."
Marco, he'd heard of him before, vicious and territorial and terrifying in the fact he didn't belong to a coven but to the Whitebeards. Powerful and old, but not cruel.
The distinction soothed the last doubt in his mind and he allowed himself to fully give in to the thrall, if only for Ace. It was a lost cause, his struggle, he'd been worrying about falling to his baser instincts for months now, or of attracting unwanted attention from humans and vampires alike, with how unaware of the rules and customs he was and with how hungry he always was, like a gaping maw in his chest.
He tilted his neck in submission, eyes closed, and the only thing holding him up being Marco's grip, he felt so tired, so /weak/.
"Good boy."
And then fangs on his neck, a needle like pinch, making his eyes widen as Marco /drinks/.
His body relaxes even further into it, Marco's powers soothing him, hand rubbing circles into his side. Ends up passing out.
Wakes up hungry, eyes wide, energy thrumming through him. Marco sits reading, and turns his head up when he hears the sheets rustle, glasses low on his nose.
"Finally awake?" he says, "Come here."
Sabo would've done that if he ordered it or not, finds himself climbing into the older man's lap with something close to desperation, wanting so badly to /bite/ he could barely think. But he couldn't, wasn't supposed to, and it's with great willpower he grits his teeth and lofts his head where he had been breathing way too hard into the crook of Marco's neck. He needed to get away before he-
But then Marco's hand landed on the back of his head, pushing him back down, making Sabo panic and cry out. But he couldn't resist, not when he was so close, not when he was so desperate.
"Good boy," Marco soothes when Sabo bites down, "There's no need to resist me"
and thats all i wrote but then sabo and marco fuck and marco convinces sabo its ok to feed from ace he'll even supervise if it makes sabo feel better and cradles them both when it happens, petting through sabos hair and then yknow mas.
i really hope tumblr doesnt eat this i wrote it in the ask box djdjdj
Im speechless i was like heehee vampire stuff sounds so fun today but i actually dunno anything about them and their lore and you come here and go hello hello i have you and ur dumbass covered LET ME FILL IN THE BLANKS AND IM SO GRATEFUL
The LORE FOR MARCO ALONE IS SO GOOD needing a sire? sabo being left alone after being turned? Ace being enamoured with Sabo?
Sabo resisting Marco but Marco securing his consent and loyalty because of Ace and because Sabo loves Ace and he wants to keep him safe AUAGSH and Marco becoming his sire and yeah they totally fuck n then Marco supervising Sabo when he finally bites Ace the first time 🥺 cute!!!
this
Absolutely slaps like bro youre cooking this is so damn good i have nothing to add im glad i said something this morning if it had you come here to write this im really thankful thank you for sharing this with me

Three Ways to Study Anatomy (Ace x Reader x Sabo) College!AU PART 1.8
Three Ways to Study Anatomy, Part 1: The Usual Way
Chapter Eight: Do I Wanna Know?
~
Tumblr media
By the end of your second week of classes, you had finally become familiar enough with campus that you no longer needed Sabo’s help to find your classrooms, but that didn’t stop you accepting whenever he offered to walk you. The two of you had struck up a fast friendship over a love of musicals and k-pop and classic literature, and your mutual desire to do something meaningful with your lives when you graduated.
You couldn’t help but wonder how he and Ace had come to be such good friends. They were such different people. But perhaps that’s why they worked together so well. Perhaps that was why you still couldn’t quite shake your attraction to the roguish Aussie. The teasing comments and sly glances certainly didn’t help either.
When you returned home after your last class on Friday afternoon, it was to a much fuller dorm than usual. Nami’s friend Usopp, a girl you only knew by the name Perona, and a dark-haired boy with an infectious smile you’d never seen before sat around the dining table with the rest of your dorm mates. They were all seemingly a few drinks deep already judging by the rowdiness.
“[Name]!” Nami cried as the sound of door closing caught her attention. “Party at Law’s again tonight, you in?”
You hesitated for only a moment. “Sure, I’m in.” You had heard Law was in Grand Line’s pre-med program and you had been itching to pick his brain about it since the last frat party. “I’ll go get changed.”
Nami cheered and Ace slipped you a wink as you hurried past to your room. Thinking ruefully of the not-so-small amount of homework you had to do this weekend as you dumped your bag on your bed, you opened your wardrobe and surveyed your choices. Not wanting to continue borrowing Nami’s clothes (she had been completely serious about charging you for their use, much to your chagrin) you had dipped into your allowance to buy yourself some more party-appropriate attire. Compared to some of the outfits you saw Nami and the other girls wear, they were hardly anything to bat an eye at, but against your usual choice of jeans and a t-shirt, they seemed positively scandalous. You loved it. You were hoping a certain someone would too.
You felt the eyes on you the second you crossed the threshold into the kitchen in your fitted miniskirt and crop top, and you fought the urge to run back to your room and hide. You heard a wolf whistle and you glanced up, your face on fire.
Nami was grinning from ear to ear and Sanji looked like his eyes were about to literally fall out of his head. Sabo gave you a shy smile, his cheeks slightly flushed. Ace, for once, had no teasing remarks, but you couldn’t help but notice the way his eyes lingered on you long after the others had turned away.
“Damn, our Country Girl cleans up nice, huh?” Nami teased.
“Shut up,” you muttered, but let her see the smile that quirked the corner of your mouth.
The party was already in full swing by the time you had all arrived and the group immediately split off to meet up with their respective friends. Nami had dragged Usopp and the other girls into the dancing crowd, and Sabo muttered something about getting you both a drink as he brushed past on his way to the kitchen. The dark-haired boy you had come to know as Luffy made a beeline for Law and immediately threw his arm around his shoulders, laughing at the scowl on the med student’s face.
Ace was huddled in a dark corner with a guy you didn’t know, their heads bent close in conversation. Something small passed between their hands, but it was gone so fast, you couldn’t see what it was. Ace fist-bumped the guy, then disappeared into the writhing crowds. You frowned after him but put him from your mind almost instantly as Sabo returned with a beer and an offer to dance. You gladly accepted both and soon lost yourself in the haze of alcohol and the closeness of your bodies.
It was a long while later when you excused yourself from your conversation with Law about med school to find the bathroom. You had lost count of how many beers deep you were and your mind was pleasantly clouded, but your feet were steady beneath you as you climbed the staircase to the much less crowded second floor.
After taking care of business, you ran your wrists under the cold tap, letting the water cool your surging blood. When you opened the door to leave the bathroom, you stumbled directly into a hard, warm body.
“Oops, sorry, I—” You looked up only to be met with deep brown eyes in a face liberally spattered with freckles. “Oh, hi!”
Ace didn’t return your greeting. He seemed to be weighing up a choice in his mind. This close, you could see his pupils blown so wide his eyes were almost black and a light sheen of sweat at his temples.
“Hey, you okay?”
“Yeah, I just…” He chuckled. “I’m a little drunk, I think.”
You smirked. “And all that talk of being around the block a few times. I have to admit, it’s nice being the sober one for once.” Well, mostly sober, you thought.
He smirked back. “Oh, I doubt you’ll be gloating so much in the morning.”
“Bet.”
He laughed, loudly this time. His face had relaxed into that carefree smile you so loved as he leaned casually on the door jamb. He was standing so close and you could feel your courage starting to wane. You grasped for something to say.
“Do… you like my new outfit?”
His eyes were dark as they raked you over and you were suddenly self-conscious. “Very much,” he said. “If I didn’t know you were our sweet, innocent Country Girl under all that, I might be inclined to try my luck tonight.”
Your heart sank but you tried to keep your voice light and playful. “Are you admitting to thinking about what’s under my clothes?”
He looked you over once more, his eyes calculating. “I’d be lying if I said it was the first time.”
At those words, you felt an abrupt twist of desire in your gut. The air between you felt thicker, charged with energy.
You leaned closer, looking up at him through your lashes. You didn’t know what had gotten into you tonight. Maybe you were a little less sober than you thought. “Would you like to find out?”
When he didn’t respond, you pulled back, face flooded with heat. “Forget it. Sorry.” You made to push past him but his hand shot out to catch your arm, tugging you hard against his chest and lowering his lips to yours.
You found yourself responding with clumsy enthusiasm, letting him lead you gently back into the dark bathroom and kicking the door shut behind him. He backed you hard against the sink, his long, solid body pressing against every part of you. One hand was tangled in your hair and the other was sliding down your side, fingers just brushing the edge of your breast on their way to settle on the bare skin of your waist. His hand was fever warm. His lips tasted like sweet liquor and something bitter. He kissed you with the experience of someone who had done this countless times before and you tried your hardest to keep up.
A voice in the back of your head told you to stop now before it went too far, but you were so lost in the heady scent of his cologne and the warmth and hardness of his body against yours, you barely heard it. You had wanted this since the day you’d first laid eyes on him in that lucky, lucky towel—you couldn’t deny that. So why did it feel like it was just not right somehow?
You gave a little gasp as Ace’s hands slid down to your thighs, hoisting you onto the sink with an ease that made the desire in your abdomen flare brighter. His warm hands were creeping their way beneath your skirt, his hips gently pressing your knees apart to accommodate him. Holy shit, this was really happening. Your heart thudded in your throat, an involuntary moan bubbling up.
“Fuck, Ace—"
“Oh shit, sorry!”
You blinked rapidly as a sliver of bright light fell across your face, but it was gone a second later, the door closing with a sharp snap.
You had just been walked in on.
Ace had pulled away at the sound of the intruding voice and now he was laughing.
“Whoops, forgot to lock the door.” He turned back to you. “Where were we?”
But before he could resume kissing you, you stopped him with a firm hand on his chest. You could feel tears pricking the corners of your eyes. What were you doing?
Nami’s words from the week before echoed in your head.
“I’m sorry, I shouldn’t be doing this.” You shoved him away and he stumbled back. You were glad he couldn’t see your face in the darkness. “I have to go.”
He made no move to stop you, said nothing as you rushed past him and back into the noise and heat and smoke of the party. A few people tried to pull you into conversations but you brushed them off, needing to escape the oppressive heat of packed bodies and the pungent smell of weed in the air.
In the cold night air, you took great heaving breaths, trying without success to hold back those bitter tears. The bass still pounded from the party inside, and shouts and laughter spilled out into the yard. It was suddenly all too much.
A hand touched your arm lightly and you spun around, wiping your cheeks clean with the back of your hand.
“Hey, what are you doing out here all alone? [Name], are you okay?”
It was Sabo. The person you least wanted to be seeing you like this.
“I’m fine. I’m okay. I just… It’s getting a bit much. I think I wanna call it a night.”
Without question, he threw his half empty beer in the trash and a comforting arm wound behind you, leading you down the garden path. He shouted to someone over his shoulder that he was taking you home and you heard Nami’s voice shout a non-committal reply.
As the sounds of the party faded behind you, you realised how worried he must be. Though he had asked you no questions, you could see the lines of concern furrowing his brow.
“Sorry. I didn’t mean to worry you. I’m just a bit overwhelmed, I guess.”
“Hey, don’t worry about it. I was thinking of bailing anyway.”
You glanced up at him and he flashed you a grin. You laughed despite yourself.
“You know you can say no, right?”
“Huh?”
“To the parties. I know Nami and Ace can be persuasive, but they wouldn’t make you do anything you really didn’t want to do.”
“Oh. Yeah, I know.” You huddled your arms closer about you. It was true. You had been the one to instigate it. He hadn’t forced you to kiss him back or to tangle your fingers in his hair or moan his name.
That had all been you. You and a little something called liquid courage. You had let it convince you those looks Ace had been giving you all night were him wanting you. Wanting you like you had secretly been wanting him since the day he stepped out in nothing but a towel in that damned co-ed bathroom. You’d convinced yourself that Nami was wrong, that you wouldn’t become just another notch on his bedpost. How could you have been so stupid?
You were quiet on the walk back to the dorm. Sabo tried to make casual conversation, but after trying and failing to evoke an enthusiastic response, he fell silent too. You could tell he was worried about you and you felt a sudden swell of affection for him—and a surge of guilt. Here was a good, sweet man who had been nothing but kind to you since you’d arrived. And here you were making out with his best friend in the bathroom at a frat party.
The thought only made you feel worse.
Sabo held the door open for you and you stood awkwardly in the hall as you waited for him to lock it behind him.
“Thanks for walking me home. Sorry I was such a downer.”
“Hey, it’s okay. You need anything? Want me to put a movie on or something?”
You shook your head. “Thanks, but I think I just want to go to bed.”
“Okay. Well, I’ll be out here if you need me. Sleep well.”
You cried yourself to sleep.

Chapter 3: Breathe
The guards at the gate verified your identity, and then transferred you and your belongings from your family’s carriage to one allowed past the gates. They were a bit stiff, but not impolite, and you said your farewells to those that had seen you through your long journey.
The carriage ride within the palace grounds wasn’t long, but you would only walk upon entry or exit if you weren’t nobility of some manner. To fall to such disgrace was considered by some among the upper class to be worse than walking to the gallows.
The Palace grounds are beautiful. The style of Goa has a little more flourish than Lulusia, but your Uncle had said it was for the gems to shine, not the castle. Goa’s castle might not shine, but it was well-maintained, and the landscape was pleasant. It was in better condition than the rest of the city, but that wasn’t unexpected.
Palace grounds weren’t just a symbol of a given kingdom, but also a last bastion should the kingdom come under attack. Maintenance was the first step to being certain everything was sturdy and that there weren’t any weaknesses to be exploited.
It was, for better or worse, all you could say about it. There was something generic about it all that gnawed at the back of your mind. There was no sense of Goa’s history in anything that you saw. None of the buildings, nor any of the gardens, had a sense of self to them. It was like looking at a dollhouse someone made based off what they believed a castle should look like.
Getting down from the carriage was the first sign something was amiss. Instead of being aided by the captain of the royal guard, or even the prince himself, a butler helped you alight from the carriage.
“My lady, I am Chabo, the head butler of the Prince’s palace. Please allow me to escort you.” He says kindly.
“Certainly,” you reply as evenly as you can.
It will do no good to unleash your concerns on him, but for not a single member of the royal family to be present upon your arrival is unsettling at the least. You had provided ample notice to the castle about your progress, and had sent an additional message first thing in the morning. You hadn’t even left the inn until after lunch, with the intention - the stated intention - of arriving with sufficient time before dinner to show proper courtesy.
Yet, there was no one here save the butler, a couple of unarmed knights to help with your luggage and a couple maids. It wasn’t as though the entire royal family was required to greet you, but the Crown Prince should have at least been here.
“Prince Sterry sends his regrets for being unable to receive you.” Chabo says as you walk. “It is unfortunate that the family is predisposed for the day. I have been instructed to show you to your room. Dinner will be brought up later this evening.”
“… Very well,” you reply as he leads you through Palace hallways. You are near to bursting with questions, but there was no sense in asking. Polite deflection, ignorance true or feigned, was all you would easily get, and the butler wouldn’t be worth the risk for anything more than that.
The best thing you could do was simply not cause any issues for him or the staff tasked with attending you. Impeccable behavior was going to be your only saving grace.
The butler brought you to a guest room. It was sizable, and like everything else so far it seemed to be right on the line of acceptable. Clean, and well-kept, but sparse and outdated. Not that either point bothered you personally, but among nobility such would be nothing short of an insult.
“If you need anything beyond the room, my lady, please feel free to inform one of the guards.” The butler explained, holding a hand toward the door where both of the knights had positioned themselves after bringing your items into the room. “The maids will be available to assist you for whatever you need within the room.”
“Thank you, Chabo.” You state, turning toward him with a soft smile. “I would not want to impose upon the royal family, so I shall wait patiently until I am called upon.”
You see his face crack a little, the stoic expression nearly giving way to something like surprise before he bows. “Your understanding is appreciated.”
Once the butler left, the maids offered to help you get cleaned up and changed. You had bathed in the inn yesterday, but there was a big difference between that and what the maids would provide, so you accepted the offer.
The hot bath was useful in helping to keep your nerves calmed, and it was easier to get dressed with assistance than on your own. After they were done it was nearly dinner time. You were provided a warm meal and some tea, and after that you requested a book or two to read for the remainder of your evening.
You dismissed your maids, assuring them that you could get prepared for bed on your own, but you would appreciate their assistance in getting ready the next day. It wouldn’t do to be summoned by the King or someone else in the family only to be struggling with your petticoats.
All you could do for now was breathe. You weren’t sure what was going on, but any slight, any complaint, any negative expression from you was going to be exploited. Of that you were certain.
You hadn’t needed to walk on eggshells back home, but you had ample practice in doing so. It had been a personal choice and a conscious effort on your part, which took some of the sting out of it now.
“Yer precious lil’ Prince can’t even-.”
You sigh. Now you really wish you knew what it was that the Crown Prince couldn’t do. It would be best right now to simply assume he couldn’t do anything, and wait until each capacity of his was verified or denied before you said anything regarding it.
No assuming he could sire children, no assuming he could fight with a sword, or had any academic capacity. Considering it was commoners talking about it, it was probably something far more difficult to keep secret.
Chewing on the possibilities and frustrated at your capacity to logically narrow them down, you got ready for bed and did your best to rest. Being sleep-deprived could lead to irritability, and you couldn’t afford to be anything but at your best tomorrow.

TPRG Ch.6 It’s Finally Over
Word count: 1440
Collapsing over the back of the couch, you finally let a tired groan escape your lips
“Somebody get me the hell out of this dress.” you said, letting out an exhausted growl while kicking off your heels. Almost immediately, your handmaidens were tearing at the strings of the dress, practically throwing it off you before starting in on the corset and petticoats.
“Do you know how many men I danced with?! And in these accursed heels!” you demanded as another woman began to take your hair down.
“Princes Marco, Charlos, Yamato,” Ace began listing, raising fingers as he began counting, “All three Vinsmoke brothers, Prince Charlotte Raisen, Kings Shanks and Eneru, Lord Mihawk, your father, twice. Sabo and I. As well as the nobles Cavendish,
“Lord Stelly.” Sabo hissed angrily, his hands clenching into first, though why, you weren’t sure.
“Law, Rob Lucci, and Shanks’ advisor, Benn Beckman.” Ace finished. Now looking at both his and Luffy’s hands to make sure they were correct.
“In heels! Do you see those things! They’re torture devices!” you shouted as your handmaidens removed your corset, petticoats, and other annoying clothing, allowing you to pull on a pair of trousers and a loose fitting tunic.
“You can turn around now.” you stated to the three boys who were staring at a wall. Said boys moved to sit on the other couch and chair as you flopped down, picking up one of the heels.
“Do you see this shit? Who decided this should be a thing?” you shouted before flinging it across the room and into a vase full of flowers, easily breaking the vase.
“Sorry Tate!” you shouted at the blond woman who came running in with a couple other servants to clean up the mess.
“It’s perfectly fine, Princess. We don’t mind.” the woman said with a small smile and a bow to you.
“It’s not fine. I caused you trouble. I’ll try to be more careful in the future.” you said apologetically, giving the woman a sheepish smile. The woman smiled and bowed once more as she and the maids cleaned up the vase and flowers. I’m going to bed!” you declared, heading towards your room.
“I’m not getting up to go to sleep.” Luffy cried, his legs over one armrest and his head thrown over the other in his usual chair.
“Agreed. Sabo, take the other couch.” Ace whined, kicking his brother onto the floor before laying down on the couch as Sabo grumbled.
“Screw it, I’ll sleep on the floor, I’m not moving.” Sabo said, all three boys asleep in no time. You chuckled as your handmaidens got your large bed ready, letting you get to sleep after a long night.
You rubbed your eyes as you looked around your bed chambers. It was late at night, the moon still pretty high in the sky, so why were you awake? You wandered out of your chambers to see the brothers still asleep where they fell, at least, for the most part. Luffy was half hanging off the chair, Ace somehow had his legs over the back of the couch and his head hanging off the seat, drool dripping down his face and onto Sabo’s coat, the blond lying face up on the floor, one leg under the couch, another resting next to Ace on the couch, arms spread wide, and his head under the table. You let out a tired laugh as you looked at the boys for a moment before walking over to Luffy and picking him up before heading towards your bed chambers. They’d been fantastic the whole month, they deserved a good night's sleep and if Sabo and Ace were anything like Luffy, dragging them into your bed wouldn’t wake them. With the three boys situated in the bed, you grabbed an extra pillow and blanket, and laid down on the couch. It wasn’t the first time you’d slept on the couch and it certainly wouldn’t be the last. The next morning, you were awoken by a rather confused maid.
“Milady, didn’t you fall asleep in your bedchambers?” the girl asked curiously as you sat up and stretched.
“The boys needed it more.” you said before standing up and walking over to the doors to your bedchambers and opening it.
“Get Gina.” you whispered urgently as you looked at the boys, “Tell her to bring her pencil and sketch pad and hurry.” The boys looked positively adorable while simultaneously hilarious. Luffy on the far left was completely turned around, his head laying on one of Sabo’s legs, his right leg resting across Sabo’s chest, right arm holding a pillow close as he chewed on it, left foot tucked nearly under his butt and left arm thrown over the end on the bed. Sabo, in the middle, was probably the most ‘normal’ of the three, his legs splayed out, one under Luffy’s head and the other over Ace’s leg, his arms crossed behind his back, underneath him and head thrown back. Finally, Ace, on the far right, was face down, starfished out, left foot next to Luffy’s head, right arm sprawled partially across the side table, left arm across Sabo’s face and right leg hooked around the bedpost. As soon as Gina entered your room, you gestured to the bed, the young woman trying not to laugh as she began to sketch the scene before her. She’d started out as one of the maids who cleaned your room, but when you’d accidentally stumbled across one of her sketches, you’d insisted on finding her an instructor. She was still learning from her instructor, but when she wasn’t, she still helped out with cleaning your room, feeling like she was indebted to you. Surprisingly, the woman managed to get a very detailed sketch before the boys began to stir, the smell of your breakfast, that you’d had brought to your room, waking them.
“I smell breakfast.” Luffy groaned, turning onto his side.
“Food smells good.” Ace added as he stretched.
“We should get up and get ready first.” Sabo groaned, as he sat up, uncrossing his arms. You chuckled, the boys jumping slightly at the sound, looking over to see you in the doorway.
“Glad to know my bed’s that comfortable. Don’t worry, I had the cooks make enough for three ravenous boys.” you said, stepping aside to reveal large plates piled high with food, “You can get ready after you’re done eating.” you added, finishing off the plate that you’d served yourself first.
You, Sabo, Ace, and Luffy stood in the throne room, your father sitting on his throne and Madam Selena standing halfway between you and your father, looking particularly sour.
“After an entire night of debating, it’s been decided that you did well enough to pass. However, Madam Selena has put together a list of things that she noticed that you should uh… work on.” your father said, gesturing to the woman who walked over to you and handed you a scroll. You nodded to your father as you took the scroll, the boys bowing.
“Thank you, father. Madam Selena, may your work take you far.” you said, the insinuation being far away. The woman huffed before exiting the throne room, you and the boys breaking out into grins the moment the doors closed behind her.
“Thank you, father. I hope to keep making you proud.” you added with a large smile at your father.
“I believe you already have. An Alliance with King Newgate is no easy feat, a matter that tipped the scales greatly in your favor.” your father said with a large smile.
“It really wasn’t much. Ace was the one to suggest I dance with Prince Marco and Prince Marco was the one who suggested the alliance.” you said with a smile. Your father smiled and nodded in understanding.
“Still, you were able to secure an alliance with them, it’s a great thing.” your father praised, “Just remember that your happiness should come first, an alliance is a great thing, but love and happiness are far greater possessions.” he added with a loving smile.
“I know, thank you.” you said, with a similar smile and a nod.
“I just want to make sure. Now why don’t you and your guard go celebrate. You’ve earned it.” your father said. You nodded, giving him a curtsy before leaving, happy to finally have some freedom.
You smiled as you walked towards the garden, the three boys in tow. Now that you had some more freedom, you really wanted to return to your garden, the tree and flowers in the center bringing you the most peace.
