One of the things that I am guilty of doing is residing too much in my head. I forget to listen to my heart. I do not always remember that the key is to not spend too much time thinking and just do. When it comes to my art, I can have a clear idea of what I want to do. In practice, it rarely comes out how I want. I can get frustrated with this at times berating my lack of skills to produce what I imagine. The materials themselves can often open up new ideas. I did not know this was going to be a mountain landscape when I began. When doing my glass work, I do not know what the final piece will look like until it is completed and I can lift the glass up for the light to reveal what the piece is going to be. The journey is very much about trusting a creative instinct. The materials have an energy, a calling. Colours, shapes and textures reflect the atmosphere of the moment. The way the light falls on its evolution tells its own story. The outcomes are no doubt a reflection of my own energy. It’s not just about personal expression or technical skills, it is about what I feel inside. Making art is so representative of life. We can spend a lot of time visualising our ideal existence but the truth is that until we step outside our front door, we are not manifesting what we need for our own original uniqueness. Our happiest moments cannot enter into our consciousness until we let go of what we think our life should be and instead allow it to be what it needs to be. It is in the serendipitous surprises where the magic happens: paint reveals the ghosts hidden within the canvas; characters of a book show new plot twists as it is being written; glass glows when light plays and random, unexpected encounters bring insight, inspiration and wisdom. This is a special kind of magic that cannot be engineered from the head alone. By allowing what is meant to be in the moment, we are gifted so much more than we can manifest alone. #giftoflife #serendipity #flow #creativity #creativeflow #headvsheart https://www.instagram.com/p/Cj-c0MaNCUT/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Where is my heart?
What do we mean when we say “my heart is happy” or “my heart is broken?” Where is the heart located? People like to say it is a feeling that comes from the chest. The phrase “heart vs head” alludes to a physical location, but it is not the human, blood pumping heart, not exactly. Its location can be entirely pinpointed. The feeling is a little bit in the stomach, the solar plexus, sometimes the throat. When sad that heart can permeate every cell in the body, When happy it feels like it leaves the boundaries of the body.

What’s Wiser – Your Head Or Your Heart?
Tumblr media

When making important decisions, we typically try to think through all the options, straining our brains to come up with the best solutions. In the process, we often stress, overthink, and become anxious. We rely on our heads to figure everything out. But in doing that, we make a grave error because our brains are not everything they are cracked up to be
We have been told that all our intelligence resides in the brain, but that is not accurate. The entire human body is a system of intelligence that communicates with us all the time. We learned that our head is in charge, and everything else should be subordinate to it, but that is not true. Our brains are capable of collecting, sorting, and filtering information, as well as analyzing options and predicting outcomes. Our heads are capable of a lot, but they are not in charge. Our hearts are much more powerful. The hearts speak the language of the soul, so when we hear our hearts, we can hear the truth.
Because the brain communicates linearly (words strung into sentences), we find its messages recognizable and easily acceptable, believing it is the only thing that makes sense. The heart does not speak a human language; it does not produce thoughts. It communicates through emotions and sensations that can then be translated into human speech. This type of communication is unfamiliar to us, and so we naturally tend to misunderstand and dismiss it. But as comfortable as we are with the thoughts in our heads, leaving the heart out of the conversation is a serious mistake.
Based on the research done by the HeartMath Institute (https://www.heartmath.org/), the heart is about 60 times greater electrically and up to 5,000 times stronger magnetically than the brain. As a result, more signals are sent from the heart to the brain than from the brain to the heart. Our heads house powerful “computers” that process a lot of input, but the brain of our operation, pardon the pun, does not reside there. It lives in our hearts.
Learning to communicate with the heart is a skill that can be easily developed by anyone. Energetically, the heart center is located in the center of the chest, not in the physical organ. That is the place to tune into when you want guidance and sound decision-making. Try this. Sit down quietly, and slow down your conscious thoughts. Focus on nothing. Let sensations come to you. If you have a specific question, ask it in your mind (ex: Should I do X?) or imagine yourself doing X. Then shift your focus to your heart center. How does it respond? Is there warmth or a sensation of comfort or safety? Do you get any other sensations in your body (like a chill or tingling)? Do you get a sense that you know the answer even though you can’t quite put it into words yet? All of these are things to pay attention to, and the more you do, the more comfortable you will become with the responses, and the clearer they will become.
We have been taught to believe that listening to one’s heart is a weakness, but this just served to separate us from the only true guiding system – our spiritual connection. So I say, listen to your heart! Let it guide you! Let it give you solutions! And then allow your head to figure out how to implement them. When our heads and our hearts work together, we come into a state of coherence or order, and that is a very powerful state indeed.
Source- What's wiser: your head or your heart? It's a timeless question, as reason and logic guide the head, while emotions and passion drive the heart.

Head vs heart
So head vs heart is always a tough choice.
I’ve found it even more difficult when it comes to relationships.
It make me doubt who I am as a person or make me believe I’m the one to blame.
Starting straight from the heart, I love this girl and it’s been one of the best relationships I’ve had in a very long time, we’ve just moved out together which is a big step for me. When we’re good we are on fire and in sync and I couldn’t fault anything but this is where head comes into the situation when we’re bad we are really bad. I get the cold shoulder constantly and I don’t feel loved. I then in turn end up overthinking and make the situation worse. We then spend our days not talking. Me being the one that wears his heart on his sleeve I get hurt waiting or even thinking when’s the next time I’m going to get affection or to feel human again. I don’t know what I should do. Do I stick it out and hope the fire reignites or end it before the flame fizzles out to a stop
