Half Shrimp-Yuu isn't from Twisted Wonderland {or the Coral Sea} and still from another world like other Yuu's but merfolk do exist.

So Half Shrimp-Yuu is almost similar to Sebek when it comes to being half human except Half Shrimp-Yuu is more against their merfolk side since it caused them to get bullied when on land back in their previous world but they're not open about it. Half Shrimp-Yuu has a habit of touching people's hair randomly though it's mainly Riddle and Sebek who faces this. {since as stated in the picture they pulled on Riddles heart ahoge thinking he was a shrimp but it was more like a light tug, and they randomly yank Sebek's hair for almost looking like a shrimp antenna}

Their father is a biologist and their mother is a merwoman shrimp. Half Shrimp-Yuu doesn't have siblings only cousins, aunts, uncles and overall just long distant but close relatives when visiting the sea back in their world.

Bonus: They randomly bite Azul, Floyd, and Jade on their wrist, fingers or cheek {they have no fear}. But Half Shrimp-Yuu does run away from them if they see them at a long distance along with even randomly leaving when in the middle of a conversation.

so there's been at least two times with a camp vargas in twst... imagine having mated and everything with the twins/one of the twins and then there's a camp to get to. don't know if you've played it but if not, feel free to delete the ask!

anyway so it's canon yuu gets scared easily (in twst at least, new world and new people) right? so what if the twins and yuu are at the camp at the same time and the "monster" appears? protective twins mode guard eels on 🫡 imagine the shenanigans LOL

It will highly depend on the timeline and which twins you are with, or if you're with both.

The sports club Camp Vargas takes place first, so assuming that you're mates with Floyd (and/or Jade) at this point, he's trying his best to get you to stick around the Basketball Club to show off how cool he is. it gets to the point that Vargas actually has to threaten to take away points from the club to get the others to shoo you away from a pouting Floyd. Afterwards, he's decided that it's no longer fun without his mate around, and kinda mopes around after catching the fish for food. So when the “monster” first appears near your camping spot, he's shifted into “moray protect shrimp” mode! It's cute, how he shifts from his more casual mannerisms and mood with the others and turns into a softer, more concerned person with you. Even the others take note of the behavior change. And when you get taken with the rest of the students later in the night, it's a rapid mood shift to an anxious, but angry Floyd. It takes Sebek, Jack, and Ruggie to hold him back from running off into the woods by himself to find you. Just you, though, he doesn't care about the other guppies. At the conclusion of the night, after the reveal, Floyd is clinging to you like a koala to a tree. He has half a mind to throw a rock at Vargas's big head, but doesn't feel like going to detention the next day.

On the other hand, with Jade it's a bit nicer. Of your you weren't allowed to tell Jade or any of the other Art/Science Club students about the “monster,” but even Floyd was happy to send Jade off to experience the same stress he had his night. Jade doesn't try to monopolize your time, at least not in a way that's obvious. He is however, coaxing you to come by with a promise of a pretty flower he found, or his catfish with he expertly seasoned and seared. It does work, and it flies under Vargas's nose. It starts to go a bit downhill when Vargas does his monster bit again, as you and Grim aren't the worse actors, but Jade is very perceptive. He's not concerned when the students first started going missing, as you and Grim seem to be rather relaxed about the whole ordeal. But when the second “creature” comes around and actually snatches you from his grasp, your terrified screams echoing in his head, Jade is desperate to get you back. This time it's Azul trying his best to calm a frantic Jade, Trey and Vil watching on in surprise as the usually calmer twin looks close to both murder and tears. Like the last time, the night ends with you wrapped in your eel's arms, Jade checking you over for any marks or bruises. Later, he returns to the dorm to strangle his brother. Tenfold if you're mated with both, as he's furious that Floyd didn't warn him about the “monsters” and your faux kidnapping. Please stop them before they wreck the dining room again.

floyd loves it and will take anything you make him, anything for him to wear, he wears it proudly. he loves that you enjoy making and crafting stuff just for him. not to mention, a lot of it feels neat to him as things are made and done differently on land. he'll share to you the kinds of things merfolk commonly make using items and nature in the sea. but he always claims that just likes your stuff much better.

he will try to reciprocate it even though he can't exactly be on your level or anything but the things he makes are definitely... unique! he gets all messy doing it, which ends up in azul chastising him to fix his appearance a bit! but he presents it to you with a silly grin on his face.

his favorite crafted thing you made for him is probably some plushie of a sea creature. most likely a shrimp, duh! floyd 100% hugs it to himself every night as he goes to sleep.

enjoys telling others like jade and sharing whatever you gifted for him he'll be all happy as he exclaims "look at what my shrimpy made for me~ isn't it the best?". jade agrees and nods with a hand on his chin as if he doesn't see the entire half of floyd's room becoming filled with various things you've made and gifted to him.

floyd will get greatly upset and turn his whole mood sour and irritable if something were to happen to it. as much as he does like it, he's prone to accidentally breaking things often. he'll come whining to you about it.

How do they show love with their animal sides?

A/N: I intended to add the fish mafia to the first part but couldn’t decipher a damn thing about how morays or octopus show affection to mates or if they even do that so buckle up and get ready for my bullshit marine biology report lol ✨

Octopuses show affection with cuddling! They are very curious creatures and tend to learn about new things with lots of touching!

Azul more than likely won’t allow Yuu to see his animal form unless they are very close and they swear not to tell anyone how chubby he is in said form. Until then, he’s always got his hands on them, cradling their face and rubbing their cheeks or just wrapping an arm around them. Yuu is basically his personal body pillow.

His tentacles have a mind of their own. Azul can’t stop himself from wrapping them around Yuu just to hold them close. Yuu leaves cuddle sessions looking like they’re covered in hickies from head to toe. Those suction cups are no joke. Jade and Floyd tease them and Azul relentlessly for this.

“Hm? Oh hello, angelfish! No, don’t go, I was just doing some work. Sit here and let me hold you. We can do whatever you like once I’m done… My dear, why are you wearing that? Nobody needs to see the marks from my tentacles on your body! The twins are still bullying me after last time! … *sigh* You are lucky you’re adorable.”

Morays are weird little freaks of nature. Their “affection” is basically not biting the hell out of you so long as you give them food and pets.

In Jade’s case, he prefers pets! He’s a little touched starved so when he’s in need of love, Yuu can expect him to suddenly wrap them in a warm hug from behind or nuzzle into their neck to leave kisses or bites if he’s in a certain mood.

Sometimes Jade will show up to Ramshackle just for some love. There’s nothing he loves more than laying in Yuu’s lap with his arms around them while they stroke his hair. He also really likes massages. Giving them or receiving? Both, he’s happy either way.

“Yuu, my darling, are you busy right now? I had a rather long day at the Monstro Lounge and I could use a recharge… Oh, you give such healing hugs. How would you like to go for a swim with me today?”

Ever heard of the diver who fed a moray for 5-6 years so every time she went diving the moray would show up for pets? That is Yuu and Floyd.

Floyd likes to joke about how delicious Yuu look and playfully trying to bite their cheek. Yuu, taking the shenanigans a bit too literally, now gives Floyd snacks so he’ll stop staring at them with hungry eyes.

He’s not actually gonna eat them of course! But hey, he’s not gonna say no to free snacks. Plus the fact this little human’s first reaction to seeing Floyd is holding up a cookie or something is indescribably cute and hilarious to him.

“Oh woe is me, I feel dizzy! I could certainly go for some delicious shrimp right now… Lil Shrimpy! Don’t give me that look! You know I’m just teasing ya, c’mere. *smooch* I actually am hungry though. Let’s get Jade to cook us something tasty!”

Dragons hoard shiny things and other stuff they consider treasure. That includes Yuu.

Nobody actually knows if Malleus has his own dragon treasure hoard. There’s rumors that his hoard lies somewhere in an abandoned castle in his hometown or in a secret place on Sage’s Island. Surprise! It’s in Ramshackle Dorm. Malleus sees Yuu as his most precious treasure so naturally he ended up leaving shiny objects around the dorm. It started with little things like gold coins or little jewels until it became a full blown hoard.

Yuu just moves all of Malleus’s treasure items into an empty bedroom where nobody grim can mess with it. Now that room is kind of like their nest. Malleus loves to lay in there with Yuu in his arms, hidden away from the world. A room full of beautiful jewels and gold and other treasures but his eyes remain on Yuu.

“Do you like that diamond I found, child of man? You may keep it if you like… Lay here with me for a moment, darling. Does this not feel like a fairytale? A dragon guards a castle and inside lies mountains of treasure and a beautiful prince/princess… Only I won’t let any knights steal you away from me.”

Vargas Camp Returns - Part 2

Following will be a summary of the second half of the Vargas Camp Returns event. Spoilers are ahead. 

We start the day with the science club. They are at the lake trying to catch the giant catfish for today’s fishing assignment. They haven’t had much luck so far. Trey admits he doesn’t know much about fishing, and suggest they do some info gathering on their target. Rook steps in and rattles off what he remembers about giant catfish habits, since they don’t have their phones or anything they can use to look up info online. Trey pipes in with what he remembers about what catfish eat, and they try to work out a plan. (He also teases Grim that he shouldn’t get too close to the water’s edge or else the catfish might eat him).

They decide to try and lure the giant catfish into the shallow water and then yoink it out. Problem is they don’t have a net with them to scoop up the catfish with. Trey says they can try using the tent tarps and some rope instead as a makeshift trap. The other students agree to the plan, and Rook sets off to gather the supplies from camp. In the meantime, Trey and the other students split up to find something they can use as bait. They end up gathering shrimp, bugs, and some fragrant plants, and Trey puts the bait together.

Rook returns with the tents and ropes, and they toss the bait into the water. It’s not long before they can see the shadow of the giant catfish approaching. They wait quietly as the catfish gets closer, and then once it swims over where they’ve laid the tents down in the water, they pull the ropes together and try to catch the thrashing creature.

Just then, a water fairy appears and wants to pick a fight. Trey throws off his coat and beats her up and they are finally able to capture the giant catfish. The boys start to celebrate, but they notice Grim is missing. The catfish had snapped him up and his little foot was sticking out its mouth. They extricate Grim and he’s alright, just pissed off and dazed (and smelly ‘cause he got the bait on him).

The science club members collect their badge and complete the assignment. They heave the giant catfish back to camp and Trey cooks it up for everyone. The tasty meal satisfies Grim and the others, and Rook commends Trey for his great leadership. Trey doesn’t think he deserves the praise, and they talk about what task they will work on next.

Next, Yuu and Grim head to the mines, but no one is there yet. Just then, Vil and some film studies club members, as well as Azul and some board game club members appear. Vil says they aren’t teaming up, and just happened to meet there by chance. Azul agrees it was just a coincidence, but he says since this task is quite hard, they could perchance work together?

Vil declines, as he doesn’t want to have to look after even more students. Azul replies that it’s not like Vargas has forbidden the teams from working together, and argues that it will be a better use of time for both clubs if they work together. Vil relents, but tells Azul he better promise not to get in his way. Vil sets off with his club members, and Azul and his group follow behind.

Upon entering the cave, Vil is surprised to see part of the cave ceiling has fallen in and their path forward is blocked. They wonder what to do, since there’s probably not any magic stones left near the entrance. Vil is able to find a small path they can slip into, but the tunnel ahead is a mess of fallen rocks and they might get lost. Vil decides there’s no way they’ll find a magic stone they can use for their assignment if they try searching at the entrance, and he tells the others they will need to press on.

He tells them to make torches and split into several teams. If they come upon a place in the tunnel that splits off, then the teams will separate down the different paths. If the path comes to a dead end, they are to come back and report to Vil. That way, they can use the information they gather to create a map of the cave system.

The students set off and by splitting up through the cave paths and taking note of how many steps they are taking, Vil is able to create a map in his notebook based on their reports. Azul wishes they could hurry and find a magic stone already, so that they wouldn’t have to go deeper in the caves and waste more time. A board game club member reveals that Azul is on edge because Idia has disappeared.

Vil is surprised, and says that no one has seen Ortho, either, since the night before. He thought maybe Ortho was with Idia, as Ortho had said he’d wanted to go check on Idia. Azul says that Idia also disappeared the evening before. At the same time, Vil and Azul come to the conclusion that the pair are slacking off somewhere together. Vil and Azul lament the audacity of these slackers and look forward to their punishments.

The students come to a dead end in a wide area. It looks like a good place to dig for magic stones, but just then a fire fairy appears. Vil beats her up and she leaves. After a bit of excavating, both groups find big enough magic stones to turn in for their assignment.

Vil turns in his stone and collects the badge, but Azul keeps digging for stones. Vil guesses that Azul is aiming to take the stones back to school and sell them off. Azul basically is like yeah, so what? and tells Vil to go look somewhere else if he also wants some stones, ‘cause their collab is officially over.

Vil prepares to leave but sees a creepy silhouette pass by. He asks the others if they saw it, but apparently only Vil saw it. Azul tells Vil to be quiet so he can focus on his search. Vil demands Azul give him one of the magic stones he’s been collecting and turns it in for him, and the board game club gets their badge. The two groups then leave the cave, and Azul asks why Vil got in his way.

Vil is surprised the others didn’t see that shadow down in the caves. It had a big, round head, long arms, and long claws. He says it clearly wasn’t anything human. Azul says Vil must have been mistaken. Grim and the other students confirm they didn’t see anything like that. Vil gives up and wonders if he really did see what he thinks he did. Azul thanks everyone for their cooperation, and the board game club departs for their next task.

We end the second day with the Pop music and mountain lover clubs (minus Lilia).

They are in the woods looking for the special flower that they need to gather for this task. It’s a flower that converts nutrients into magic energy, and upon blooming it releases the magic energy it’s stored up and quickly withers away. It grows in sunny places where there’s not many other flowers around, as well as places where lots of magic is used or where magic stones are formed.

Kalim is worried they won’t be able to find the flower, since they have such a short blooming period and they might have all withered away already. Jade and Cater assure him there must be some flowers around, since Vargas wouldn’t go and send them on a wild goose chase…probably.

Grim notices that Lilia isn’t around. Cater explains that Lilia went to go complete the day’s fishing task, and that they’ve agreed to all meet up once they all finish. Cater says he had wanted to help Lilia, but Lilia basically told him the flower hunt would need more manpower and he shooed him away.

The boys head deeper into the forest and come across that area where Malleus had slithered off to go star gazing the night before. They come across a fallen tree in the path, and note that it wasn’t there before when they were gathering wood. Jade warns everyone that it’s too dangerous to climb over the tree, but this area is on high elevation and there’s a good chance they will find the flower in this area, so they look for another way around it.

Kalim finds what he thinks is an animal trail, but he slips and quickly falls down the slope, landing into the swamp at the bottom. Jade and Cater go after him and find him stuck in the mud from the waist down. Jade stops Cater from going to pull Kalim out, as he notices that Kalim has landed himself in a bottomless swamp. The ground in the swamp has liquefied, so every time Kalim moves he sinks deeper.

Jade tells Kalim to remain calm and just listen to him. Jade explains that one time, there was a mountaineer who got their leg stuck in a bottomless swamp just like Kalim. The mountaineer was all alone, and there was no one around to help them. There also wasn’t anything nearby they could grab onto to pull themself out. The mountaineer had once boasted of their strength, but they couldn’t even manage to free themself. Not knowing what to do, the mountaineer’s entire body was finally enveloped by the swamp.

Cater is shocked that Jade told such a scary story, and Jade says he just wanted to help calm everyone down by having them understand the dangers of bottomless swamps… :/// Cater said it had the opposite effect.

At that moment, a fairy appears and looks like it wants to fight. Jade tells Kalim to face his body upwards, spread his arms, and try to touch as much of his body to the swamp waters as he can. He’ll get covered in mud, but Jade explains that when you are in a bottomless swamp, having your body spread out increases the surface area of contact and will help you sink slower.

Jade tells Yuu and Grim to stay put and reassure Kalim in order to keep him calm. Jade and Cater will take care of the fairy so that she doesn’t interfere with their rescue efforts. He warns Cater to be careful not to fall into the swamp because if they sink down far enough he won’t be able to save them even in his merman form.

They beat up the fairy and she goes away. They turn their attention to Kalim, who has been doing his best to remain still and calm in the swamp waters, as Jade instructed. They make a rope out of the ivy and rescue Kalim, and they all get covered in mud at the end. Jade suggests they go wash off in the lake before the mud dries, but just then he spots the flower they had been looking for. It’s sitting on a floating island in the swamp, and they are able to retrieve it with some effort.

Jade notes this isn’t the type of place one usually finds this type of flower, as it’s not very sunny. He wonders if perhaps a large amount of magic had been used there recently. Cater doubts anyone would want to go use magic at an unphotogenic place like that. Jade suggests they go return to camp, get washed up, and collect their badge.

Back at the camp, Jade is compounding a magical potion with the flower so they can complete the assignment. Cater and Kalim are amazed at his skills, and Jade says he can teach them the ropes sometime along with Azul and Floyd. Cater is taken aback by the lineup, and he says Kalim better not go along with it because it’ll probably end up costing him a fortune. They submit the potion and get their badge. The boys set off to go meet up with Lilia at the lake, parting ways with Grim and Yuu.

The second day comes to an end, and the students are gathered together around the campfire. All clubs have successfully gotten their badges for the day. Vargas asks if anyone has any questions, and Azul and Vil both let him know that the Shroud brothers have been missing since the day before. Azul and Vil both admit they think the two are slacking off together somewhere. Vargas laughs and basically brushes off their concerns, saying it will be handled when the two come back. 

The light music club pipes up and admits that they haven’t been able to find Lilia anywhere. When they went to go check on him at the lake earlier, all they found was the giant catfish he had caught. Trey mentions they also haven’t seen Malleus, either. Vargas tells the students to calm down and that he will go look for the missing students.

Trey is concerned, but Azul and Vil tell him to just leave it to Vargas. They all eventually decide to just get some rest and prepare for whatever tasks they will have tomorrow.

We then switch over to the abandoned shack where Vargas is residing. He is in his monster outfit, and has trashed the room. He tells Grim and Yuu to go back to the camp and tell the other students that he had been attacked by a mysterious black shadow. He tells them to put on a good performance and help him out.

The pair depart and start heading to the campsite, but run into some students near the abandoned shack. It’s Trey and Rook, and they are washing the cutlery they’ll be using tomorrow. Rook can’t believe the camp is already ending tomorrow, and Trey admits it’s been a good experience, as he doesn’t do stuff outdoors like this very much. 

He says this is the first time he’s done stuff like fishing, going digging in tunnels, or gathering firewood. Rook is glad he could see this side of Trey, and invites him to go hunting with him sometime. Trey declines, and they are interrupted by Grim’s wailing. They ask him what’s wrong, and Grim puts on his best performance explaining what happened to Vargas.

After hearing Grim and Yuu’s dreadful tale of the mysterious black shadow that attacked Vargas, Trey and Rook suggest they check the abandoned shack. They head into the shack and it’s in shambles. Trey wonders if the black shadow could be that “monster” that Ace and Deuce had mentioned when they got back from their camp. Trey and the other students had figured the two had been really tired and were just mistaken in what they saw, but now he wonders if there really was a monster up in the mountains.

The group decides to go back to the campsite and tell the others what happened. They make it back to camp, and the students wonder if Lilia and the others were also attacked by the mysterious black shadow. Azul adds that it must be a monster strong enough to take on Malleus since he’s missing, too. 

The other students start to freak out, but Vil tells everyone to calm down. He says that no one actually saw Vargas get attacked, and Jade says he was also wondering about that. Jade asks Grim and Yuu if they maybe just saw an animal or something? Grim says no way, it was something huge, and…really big! And…it was definitely not an animal!

The students talk some more and they aren’t sure what it was, but Azul suggests it might be Vargas pulling a fast one on them. Jade adds that if he had gotten attacked and disappeared, it would be easier for him to sneak around on the third day. Vil wonders if Vargas is observing them right now from somewhere. Trey agrees that might be possible, and suggests they prepare themselves for whatever might be coming for them tomorrow.

Kalim wonders what they should do for the night, and Jade suggests they just gather round the campfire and stay put until the morning. Crowley should be coming to get them in the morning, so the best they can do is just protect the fire from the fairies and try to get through the night. 

Trey says the remaining members of the pop music club and mountain lover’s club can come hang out with the science club for the night and they happily agree. Trey also invite Grim and Yuu to camp out with the science club in their tents and they also agree.

Now it’s about 1 in the morning, and the fire is getting low. Rook asks if anyone wants to go collect firewood with him, and Kalim volunteers. They depart, and Jade comes to let everyone know it’s time to rotate the students that are keeping watch. Vil also comes to let everyone know that he noticed some of his club members are gone. Trey wonders how they could have slipped away, with so many people keeping watch. They wonder if Vargas’s final assignment has already started…

Vil goes to warn the film research club members, and Trey wonders what’s taking Rook and Kalim so long. Trey, Cater, and Jade go to take a look and they find the firewood supply looks untouched. They find someone’s dirtied coat lying on the ground, and Trey recognizes that it belongs to Kalim. They see marks in the ground like someone was dragged away… Just then they hear a loud boom followed by a scream, and they race back to the campsite.

The group comes back to find the campfire has been extinguished and it’s pitch black. Trey notices that something or someone is firing magic at them, and he covers for Grim and Yuu. Trey’s magic barrier withstands the attack, and then a mysterious creature appears before them. It snarls and races off towards the other students, nabbing Cater, Grim, and Yuu along the way. 

The campsite descends into chaos as the students flee into the dark. Trey runs into Jade, who advises that they fall back for now. Trey hesitates at first, wanting to stay to help everyone, but he relents and they escape.

They make it to the lake and run into Vil and Azul. It seems all the other students have vanished in the chaos, and it’s just the four of them left.  They conclude the creature that attacked them probably wasn’t Vargas, since it had a different silhouette and horns and everything. Jade and Azul consider turning into their mermen form and just waiting in the lake until sunrise. Vil scoffs at the idea, and Trey pipes up that he has a plan for all of them to make it through the morning, though reckless it might be.

Trey’s plan is for them to hunt the creature. He gathers it might prefer dark areas, and if that’s so, it might not do so well with bright lights. It will be dangerous for them to fight it without their magical pens, but fortunately Azul just so happens to be holding onto the stash of magical stones that the board game club had excavated in the caves. The final part of the plan is to get the monster to fall into the lake, so that it can’t move around so easily. They agree to give it a shot, and Trey asks who amongst them is the best at running, and they decide it’s Vil. Vil asks what Trey is planning…

We come back to the tail end of their conversation, and it sounds like everyone has been assigned a role in this plan. Azul says it’s now time they talk about divvying up the magic stones that he has. He says the condition for him to hand them over is that Vil and Trey have to work for 5 days in the Monstro Lounge.

Trey said he had prepared himself for this to happen, but it was even worse than he had imagined. Vil says he’ll only work for 1 day. They enter negotiations and settle on 2 days, after Jade suggests they could do like a “for 2 days only, get vil schoenheit’s handmade smoothie exclusively at monstro lounge” type of event. Trey gives up and is fine with 5 days. Now, it’s time to start their plan.

Vil heads back to the campsite and calls out for the monster. He basically tells it catch me if you can! and sends out a flash of magic, lighting up the forest. Azul and Jade watch from nearby in the forest, and they see Vil running towards them. Jade says it’s time to start step 2 of the plan. Step 2 is to run with the monster and Vil down to the lake and protect Vil along the way as it chases him. As they wait, Azul reveals that even more than Vil, he was aiming to get Trey to work for him due to Trey’s excellent cooking skills.

Vil taunts the monster as it chases him, and they head towards the lake. Azul and Jade follow from behind, Azul huffing and puffing from the exercise. Azul tells himself “This is for business! This is for the monstro lounge!” and he pushes on.

They reach the lake, where Trey is waiting. Now it’s time for step 3 to start. Jade and Azul try to do a pincer attack but the monster is too fast and evades it. The monster throws some rocks at them, and Trey uses Doodle Suit to turn the rocks into rubber balls. He tells the others to leave the counter attacks to him, Vil to lead the attack, and Jade and Azul to be the support members. They want to try and get closer and drive the monster back some more.

Vil and the others ask if they can start Step 4 yet. The monster keeps throwing rocks at them and Trey continues to use his unique magic again and again. Finally they push the monster back enough and Trey yells for them to start Step 4. Vil goes to shoot off another blast of light, but the monster jumps out of the way. But then the monster ends up slipping when it lands and falls into the lake. It turns out Trey had went and used magic to freeze the plants growing along the shore while he was waiting for the others at the lake, in order to make the ground more slippery.

The monster tries to get out the lake, but Vil uses his unique magic and curses it. Anyone who touches the water in the lake cannot move until Vil permits them to do so. The monster can’t move its body and it looks like the boys have won. It doesn’t take long for them to figure out that Vargas is the monster. 

They pull him out the lake and question him. Trey asks if Vil could remove the curse from Vargas, but the other three want to leave him like that until they are assured the other students are safe. Just then, Grim runs up and explains the situation. Vargas then congratulates them on their efforts.

Trey asks if the other students are OK, and Vargas tells them not to worry. He had the students restrained somewhere else to stop them from getting in the way of the final task. He says the ghosts will release them now that the final task is completed. But he gave an exception to Yuu and Grim, allowing them to roam free so they could document what was going on during the final task.

Trey shakes his head in disbelief. He had been fooled by Grim’s performance earlier that night when he was crying for help. Azul can’t believe Trey really fell for it. Grim says his acting was the highlight of the night and that he might even go appear in one of the films that the film studies club makes. Vil says sorry, but they don’t have any plans to do any heartwarming pet stories right now.

Azul and Vil then ask Vargas if Idia and Ortho had also been secretly helping out Vargas from the start, wondering if that’s why they had disappeared. Vargas tells them that students who were found to be slacking off or were breaking the rules weren’t allowed to participate in the final task. Those students were rounded up and sent to do squats out by the hut in the woods, supervised by the ghosts.

Vargas announces that they all passed the final task, and goes to hand them their badges. Just then, they hear a rustling sound. It’s the mysterious creature that Vil had spotted in the tunnel, and that Malleus had met when he was stargazing at the hill. 

The creature rushes the group and grabs Vargas and Grim, disappearing into the woods with them. Azul gets pissed off because Vargas hadn’t handed them their badges yet ://

Jade and the others ascertain this isn’t part of some new task, or else Grim wouldn’t have been so scared like that. Yuu worries for Grim, and Trey tells him to try and stay calm. It wouldn’t do them any good to go rushing after the creature in dark forest without thinking things through first. They figure it might be some sort of monster, and Vil thinks it might have headed up to the tunnels where he had seen it the day before. 

Trey thinks it’s worth checking out, and the others agree. Azul continues muttering to himself that why it couldn’t have just waited until after they had gotten their badges ://

Azul agrees to join the rescue mission, mostly because he figures it will be prestigious for them to save a teacher from the renowned Night Raven College. Jade is also willing to join, and he asks Vil if he will also help, seeing as there ought to be something or other that Vil will get out from it. 

Vil says he’s not doing this for prestige or anything, it’s just that he wouldn’t be able to sleep at night if something happens to Vargas. Trey realizes that Vil’s unique magic was never taken off of Vargas, so Vargas cannot move his body still. Trey says he also feels responsible, and Yuu wants to help out, too. They all agree to check out the mines, but make a pit stop at the camp site first to gather supplies.

At the campsite, Vil notices how quiet it is. The students were supposed to have been released after the final task was completed, but the campsite is deserted. Trey figures since Vargas was taken away by the monster, then the ghosts probably haven’t gotten the signal yet to release the students.

They head up the mountain, with Azul struggling on the steep path. They haven’t slept a wink all day, and it’s clear they’re tired. Vil notes that Jade seems to be the only one enjoying himself. Azul wishes he could take back his words from earlier and just go back to their tents and rest. 

Trey understands how he feels, but says they can’t just leave Vargas and Grim behind. The group decide to focus on what course of action they should take to deal with the monster. Jade says they really don’t know much about this monster, and notes that it’s strange that it only took Grim and Vargas.

Vil adds that it’s strange for Malleus and Lilia to have disappeared, as he doubts they had been slacking off or went breaking the rules. Trey wonders if they were also taken by the monster, which makes the others falter for a moment. Azul says if the monster is strong enough to take on Malleus, then they don’t have a chance… They press on towards the tunnel.

They reach the tunnel and head inside. It’s dark, and luckily Vil still has the map they made earlier. They can hear Grim’s voice from inside the tunnel as he complains about getting captured, and they are relieved that he sounds okay. Vil says they need to hurry on, and they prepare the magic stones they still have left.

The group finds Grim and Vargas further inside the tunnel, but the monster doesn’t seem to be around. The two are tied up and their mouths are gagged. Trey removes the gag from Grim’s mouth, and Grim yells that he and Vargas were just bait to lure them in! 

The monster appears, and Vil wishes they didn’t have to fight it in such a dark and cramped space. Grim suggests they just leave Vargas behind and book it. Trey asks Azul, Jade, and Yuu to carry Vargas and Grim out of the tunnel, since there isn’t enough time to release the magic curse on Vargas. Trey and Vil will stay behind and fight the monster in the meantime. Jade grabs Grim and RUNS, leaving Azul and Yuu behind to somehow lug Vargas’s body out the tunnel.

Vil and Trey stave off the monster’s attacks, but they are quickly running out of magic stones. Vil notices the monster has started reading their movements. Trey takes of his jacket and throws it over the monster’s face so it can’t see them. The monster freezes in surprise, and Trey and Vil take the chance to escape from the tunnel. 

They meet up with Jade and the others at the tunnel entrance. Vil goes ahead and undoes the magic he had cast on Vargas. Vargas’s mouth is still gagged and he tries in vain to yell out as the monster appears behind them. The monster prepares to attack, and Vil is glad that this time they have a wide open space to move around in.

The students continue to fight the monster, but it’s moving around too fast and Vil wonders if their attacks are even landing. Jade sees the monster’s movements are getting sloppy, so he’s sure they’re doing some damage. 

Azul thankfully still has some magic stones left and he makes sure everyone has what they need. Trey is taking the lead, Vil is working hard to disrupt the monster’s attacks, and Jade and Azul are providing the firepower.

Vargas is pleased by their great teamwork. Grim and Yuu are surprised when he starts to speak, since he was supposed to still be bound and gagged. Grim tells Vargas he should be out there fighting the monster with the others. Vargas says he won’t interfere, since he isn’t in charge of this part. But he figures they’ve already passed at this point and is proud of how far everyone has come.

The students continue their fight against the monster, but they’re getting tired and running out of magic stones. Trey urges them to hold on just a bit longer and try to attack it all at once. He tells them to wait for his signal. At last, they finally fell the beast. 

Just as they are about to head back to camp, the monster rises again and… calls them good boys. The morning sun shines down on them and reveals the shadowy figure to in fact be Crewel in disguise.

Grim notes the monster costume is pretty out there for Crewel’s taste, and Vargas explains he was the one who designed it. Vil is very relieved that Crewel wasn’t the one who designed it.

Vargas explains that the original plan was to have him handle the final task like he did with the sports club camp, but he was worried the sports club students might go and spoil everything to the culture club students, so he decided to change things up and have Crewel handle it. Crewel adds that he is the one who directs the culture clubs, after all. Crewel removes his mask and asks “the others” to come on out.

Malleus and Lilia appear, and it turns out they’ve been helping the teachers. But they weren’t in on it the whole time. Malleus was approached to help them after he did the whole “use his bare fist to extract a magic stone from the rock-hard cave walls” bit on day one, and Lilia was approached after he single-handedly caught the giant catfish on day two. 

The teachers just didn’t want those two to make the tasks too easy for everyone, so that’s why they pulled Lilia and Malleus aside and had them “disappear”.  The teachers then had Lilia and Malleus try and make the tasks harder for the other students. Malleus was the one who made a mess out of the tunnel and basically turned it into a maze. Lilia was the one who knocked over the trees that were blocking some of the mountain paths, which made the students have to find alternative routes.

Finally, Vargas announces the results of the actual final task, and Crewel says the culture clubs passed. Vargas hands over the last badge, and tells the students to go meet the headmaster at the campsite entrance.

At the campsite entrance, the boys meet up with the other culture club students, who are all safe and sound. Rook says after they were captured, they found themselves tied to trees out in the forest. Everyone’s pretty sore and tired, but they’re alright. It turns out the ghosts told everyone about how Trey and the others had battled with Vargas for the final task, and everyone is amazed. 

Ortho comes up and tells Vil he was forced to keep watch over Idia to make sure he didn’t try and get out of doing squats. Vil looks over and sees Idia collapsed on the ground. Idia says his legs feel like they’ve exploded, but Azul just tells him to hurry up and get up already.

Crowley appears along with Vargas and Crewel. Cater and the other students are surprised to see Crewel, it turns out they didn’t know about the final final battle that Trey and the others had with Crewel. Trey and the others explain what happened, and everyone is shocked. 

Rook wishes he could’ve seen their battle, and Lilia says he got to watch it. Lilia said the four of them were splendid in battle, and it was hard for him to hold back from calling out his support for Jade. Jade asks why he would cheer him on, and Kalim and Cater say it’s because they are on the same team and that Jade really helped them out a lot during the camp.

Vil is displeased with Ortho’s actions during the camp and tells Ortho he better prepare himself for what’s coming. Azul also tells Idia he better be grateful to him and the others, since they pretty much did everything without him. Idia says his thanks, and then Azul notices he’s got some dirt on his knees from when he was collapsed on the ground. Azul offers to wipe it off but goes and whacks him in the knees instead, causing Idia to scream in pain.

Trey is just glad it’s all over, and Rook asks Trey to be sure tell him all about what happened later. Trey says he didn’t do anything special, but Malleus says he thinks Trey was player of the game. Jade, Azul, and Vil readily agree. Trey is pretty embarrassed by all the praise, but he thanks everyone, regardless.

It’s time to head back to school, and Vil laments that the real challenge starts from here on out. Trey is confused at first but then he remembers, they both have to work in the Monstro Lounge when they get back!

And that’s about it. The boys just talk about going on a camping excursion with just the film studies club, mountain lover’s club, and science club someday, sans Vargas. But Vargas overhears and invites himself, and Trey and the others exit stage left and run away lol.

Ok so, silly stupid idea before I go to bed; Floyd calls you Shrimpy so often and a new business partner of Azul's is at least aware that some of Azul's associate's are merfolk that they accidentally think Yuu is a shrimp merfolk (bonus points if they initially think the tweels are humans). Or something. I'm very tired.

Tbh, it's a valid assumption, especially since you can't always tell when someone is a merperson. They usually have brighter colored hair and eyes, and occasionally sharper teeth, but this isn't always the case. With reef merfolk especially, many of them are indistinguishable from humans with their top half, more so if they take transformation potions.

Looking at Yuu, the associate can assume that they just aren't a brightly colored shrimpmer. They try to make conversation with them by asking about life in the sea, if the transition to land was hard, etc, etc. They finally clock the confused look on Yuu's face and ask,

“You are a merperson…right? A shrimp?”

“A shrimp—oh!”

Yuu starts laughing, shaking their head.

“No! Floyd just likes to give people fish nicknames, I'm fully human.”

The poor associate is embarrassed and hoping that they haven't lost their shot in with Azul via Yuu. Seeing how chill and friendly Yuu is, they'll be fine.

At lunch. Floyd tries to attract Yuu's attention in every possible way to tease them. Because he was very bloodthirsty eating shrimp in sauce. Jade watched this with interest, leisurely eating his large portion of lunch. Azul pretended not to see it all.

Floyd opens his mouth wide, showing his razor-sharp fangs and bites off a piece of shrimp with a quick movement, smiling smugly.

Yuu and the first-year students were sitting at the table opposite. And they are watching it all very intensely. But then Yuu suddenly breaks into a smile, leaves his meal and cutlery. And then, with his mouth slightly open, she shows his tongue to Floyd. Everything would be fine….maybe. Only now there were as many as 4 "piercings" on the Prefect's cute pink tongue One is in the form of a red heart, the second is in the form of a spike, the third is in the form of a cat's paw footprint and the fourth is a colorless pebble.

Three Octavinels choked so hard that their coughing could be heard all over the cafeteria.

Azul squeezed the water bottle in his hand so hard that it cracked in half, for a second it seemed that he was about to be cracked from what he saw. Jade was coughing like a madman, used a handkerchief.

Floyd cleared his throat and greedily drank his tea from the bottle.

Seeing their very red faces was definitely the best event of the whole dinner for Yuu. Yes, she did it on purpose. No mercy.

The first-year students unfortunately turned out to be unwitting witnesses of this scene. Yes, they saw everything. Yes, they didn't know. Ace looked at this "quiet girl" with shock and awe. He wondered if he even knows Yuu at least by 1%?

-Yuu… wha-what the hell…

Yuu saw the very tense and very red faces of his friends.

- Guys, relax, they are not real, but on a magnet…

Hey! If that's okay could i request the dorm leaders reacting to a MC/Yuu that that since is from another world they constantly isolates themselves from everyone because they feel that they don't belong anywhere?

Think about it, MC has been ripped away from everything they've ever know their ENTIRE LIFE, being transported into another world where they're looked down from basically everyone since they're magicless, they're not even sure if they can ever go back home, they have to deal with overblots AND they're expected to succeed in their studies.

He is VERRRRY slow in comforting you, unlike the other dorm leaders, he has depression himself (Riddle low-key has it, but it's not as bad as Idia's) so helping you is a problem.

Ortho ended up helping both you and Idia.
