The Coming Judgment
1 Now, beloved, I am writing this second epistle to you; in both, I am stirring up your pure minds by causing you to remember 2 In order for you to be mindful of the words that were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of the Lord and Savior, spoken by us, the apostles;
3 Knowing this first, that in the last days there will come mockers, walking according to their own personal lusts, 4 And asking, “Where is the promise of His coming? For ever since the forefathers died, everything has remained the same as from the beginning of creation.” 5 But this fact is hidden from them– they themselves choosing to ignore it– that by the Word of God the heavens existed of old, and the earth came forth out of water and amid water, 6 By which the world at that time, having been deluged with water, had itself been destroyed. 7 But the present heavens and earth are being held in store by His Word, and are being reserved for fire in the day of the judgment and destruction of the ungodly.
8 Now, beloved, do not let this one fact be hidden from you: that with the Lord, one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. 9 The Lord is not delaying the promise of His coming, as some in their own minds reckon delay; rather, He is longsuffering toward us, not desiring that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
10 However, the day of the Lord shall come as a thief in the night in which the heaven itself shall disappear with a mighty roar, and the elements shall pass away, burning with intense heat, and the earth and the works in it shall be burned up.
11 Since all these things are going to be destroyed, what kind of persons ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness, 12 Looking forward to and striving for the coming of the day of God, during which the heavens, being on fire, shall be destroyed, and the elements, burning with intense heat, shall melt? 13 But according to His promise, we look forward to a new heaven and a new earth, in which righteousness dwells.
14 For this reason, beloved, since you are anticipating these things, be diligent, so that you may be found by Him in peace, spotless and blameless. 15 And bear in mind that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation, exactly as our beloved brother Paul, according to the wisdom given to him, has also written to you; 16 As he has also in all his epistles, speaking in them concerning these things; in which are some things that are difficult to understand, which the ignorant and unstable are twisting and distorting, as they also twist and distort the rest of the Scriptures, to their own destruction. 17 Therefore, beloved, since you know this in advance, be on guard against such practices, lest you be led astray with the error of the lawless ones, and you fall from your own steadfastness; 18 Rather, be growing in the grace and the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be glory both now and into the day of eternity. Amen. — 2 Peter 3 | A Faithful Version (AFV) Holy Bible, A Faithful Version © 2020 A Faithful Version. All Rights Reserved. I feel like I should share this with y'all too because it might possibly help someone or show light from a different angle.
This recently came to me from God's Divine Clarity I believe.
It's about forgiveness because that is pretty hard for many people, it's hard for me too. So if you are very focused on the sh** a person has done to you, it can help to see that there will certainly be a point in their development where they will unsh** themselves, meaning they will have to heal and move beyond the version that they were that was so unconscious that it hurt you badly. I'm being cautious here, I only trust myself to try this idea on cases of emotional wounding at this point because I think there is a bit of a bigger chance to be willing to forgive that.
So forgiveness has to do with trusting God's word and trusting that He created humans in His image and likeness and He created us good. So we might trust that this is the reality that eventually everyone has to come back to simply because it is the only thing that's true. Only God's word truly matters. This is why we could trust that the person will eventually return to the truth, even if it takes them 50 more lifetimes to get there and they will move beyond the person that hurt you so badly. In that way, we see that this version of them that is hurting others is ultimately a transitory state and we can let go of the issue now or in 50 more lifetimes. That's mostly in relation to the issue of not getting an apology even though you totally deserve one.
This helped me a little to see that having faith in the possibility of the goodness of this person can help to overcome my pain and my hatred and my need for justice and stuff like that. And having faith in what God has said. Alternatively it can also be having faith in myself that there is a version of myself in the future that has overcome this and is genuinely able to hold no grudges over this and has forgiven the issue honestly. To me it was helpful to see that it is not a long-lasting or practical approach to keep holding onto a negative version of someone that is ultimately transitory and *will* dissolve. I can just as well move on to a different approach to get what I want in order to be free.
Maybe this helps you or if it doesn't speak to you, then I hope some other angle or approach will. May we all find healing, God bless you and me. 😊

July, 8 (Morning) Devotion
“Tell me I pray thee wherein thy great strength lieth.”
Judges 16:6
Where lies the secret strength of faith? It lies in the food it feeds on; for faith studies what the promise is—an emanation of divine grace, an overflowing of the great heart of God; and faith says, “My God could not have given this promise, except from love and grace; therefore it is quite certain his Word will be fulfilled.” Then faith thinketh, “Who gave this promise?” It considereth not so much its greatness, as, “Who is the author of it?” She remembers that it is God who cannot lie—God omnipotent, God immutable; and therefore concludeth that the promise must be fulfilled; and forward she advances in this firm conviction. She remembereth, why the promise was given,—namely, for God’s glory, and she feels perfectly sure that God’s glory is safe, that he will never stain his own escutcheon, nor mar the lustre of his own crown; and therefore the promise must and will stand. Then faith also considereth the amazing work of Christ as being a clear proof of the Father’s intention to fulfil his word. “He that spared not his own Son, but freely delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?” Moreover faith looks back upon the past, for her battles have strengthened her, and her victories have given her courage. She remembers that God never has failed her; nay, that he never did once fail any of his children. She recollecteth times of great peril, when deliverance came; hours of awful need, when as her day her strength was found, and she cries, “No, I never will be led to think that he can change and leave his servant now. Hitherto the Lord hath helped me, and he will help me still.” Thus faith views each promise in its connection with the promise-giver, and, because she does so, can with assurance say, “Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life!”

II Peter 3:9
The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
Jehovah-Jireh
56-0613
But Jonah in the belly of the whale, hands tied behind him, backslid, on a stormy sea, in the whale's belly in the vomit, talk about symptoms, he had them. If he looked this way, it was whale's belly. He looked that way, it was whale's belly. Everywhere he looked it was whale's belly. Now, you're not in that bad a shape. But what did Jonah say? He said, "They are lying vanities. I won't believe one of them." He said, "Lord, once more, will I look to Your holy temple." He didn't see the whale's belly; he was looking for the temple. Don't look at your symptoms, look at the promise. How bad you're sick, look Who great a Person give the promise. God said so.

Line Upon Line Lesson 022: The Faith of Abraham and Isaac
Genesis 22:8 - And Abraham said, “My son, God will provide for Himself the lamb for a burnt offering.” So the two of them went together.
If you have dealt with issues of infertility, then you can relate to how hard it can be to have a child.  As we have followed Abraham’s life these past few chapters, we have gone through many experiences with him.  God had promised Abraham He would make him into a great nation (Genesis 12:2).  God told Abraham that his descendants would be as numerous as the stars in the sky (Genesis 15:5).
Abraham and Sarah were unable to conceive a child, so they concocted a plan to try to fulfill God’s promise on their own power.  Abraham had a son named Ishmael through Sarah’s servant Hagar (Genesis 16:1-4, 11).  However, God told Abraham he would have a son through Sarah, even though she was well past the age of child bearing (Genesis 18:13).
After all those years of trials and struggle, Abraham and Sarah finally saw the fruition of God’s promise.  They had a son named Isaac (Genesis 21:1-4).  How proud Abraham must have been when Isaac came into the world.  Isaac was his pride and joy, the apple of his eye.
Let’s read together Genesis 22:2-3.
Now Abraham was asked to sacrifice his son Isaac!  I can only imagine what was going in Abraham’s mind that night.  Why is God asking this of him?  Isn’t sacrificing his own son against the laws of God?
Perhaps Abraham asked God for confirmation of what He commanded.  Perhaps Abraham asked God for a miraculous sign to make sure this is His will.  However, no sign was given.
Let’s read together Numbers 23:19; Hebrews 6:18; and Hebrews 11:17-18.
How did Abraham get the resolve to follow through what God asked of him?  How did Abraham stay faithful in this most difficult test when he failed previously with smaller tests?  Abraham believed God was going to keep His promises to him.  God clearly told Abraham He would make him a great nation through his son Isaac.  Therefore, Abraham concluded that God would resurrect Isaac after the sacrifice, even though no such thing had ever happened in the history of the world before then.
Let’s read together Deuteronomy 6:4-7; Isaiah 53:1-12; and 1 Peter 1:19.
While many Christians discuss and remember the faith of Abraham, what about the faith of Isaac?  Isaac could have fought against Abraham and tried to escape when he found out he was going to be the sacrifice.  Abraham was one hundred years old, so Isaac most likely would have been  able to overpower him.
If Abraham prefigured what God the Father would experience at Calvary, then Isaac would have prefigured, Jesus Christ, the perfect sacrifice.  Isaac was willing to be sacrificed because of his own faith in God.
Friend, are you willing to have the faith of Abraham and Isaac?
