I’m going to say something controversial here but shouting at people for buying at Hogwarts Legacy does nothing. Like the money’s already been bought, there’s especially no moral high ground to spoiling a game that people have spent money on because they want to play it.

Like I get it, I do. We all hate JKR but let’s not ruin someone else’s enjoyment of something. You can hate the author, I know I do. You have a right to do that. You don’t have a right to be a dick. Stop being a dick as it doesn’t make you look good at all.

Like kid who comes out of a closet to a whole community who accepts him as he is, no wonder this series had and still has LGBTQ fans. Because like, one of my closest friends, she’s Trans and she’s pretty disgusted at the behavior a few of you are showing.

The franchise existed long before the author’s true intents were made public and will exist LONG after her. And if you’re someone that HP has become a comfort franchise for you then you shouldn’t be robbed of it because the author turned out to be scum of the earth.

Just choose the battles you’re fighting, because there’s actual real world issues to fight against. As a enby person, I find it ludicrous that so much attention is being given to this pointless bullshit while several states are trying to pass laws making it illegal to transition, You Know Coup's making hateful speech and rhetoric and generally transphobia is on the rise everywhere you look.

And if anything, the transphobia of the author isn’t what you should be focusing on. The game is deeply antisemitic. It involves hook-nosed being associated with money stealing children. THAT is what you should be angry about. Just some thoughts.

i’m not going to be able to word this even mildly coherently but i am so invested in the atsushi view of akutagawa involving dazai 

from my recollection one of the first things atsushi is told upon joining the agency is to be wary of akutagawa - that he is dangerous (true) and should be avoided at all costs. this is proven to be a fair warning and for the most part continues for a good part of the beginning of the novel; akutagawa is powerful, morally opposed to atsushi, and generally rude. atsushi should have no reason to doubt dazai for this, and for the most part this seems to be fair. 

then there’s the whole ‘dazai made akutagawa this way’ which honestly yes agreed i know akutagawa was a whatever ‘silent mad dog’ and stuff but dazai so obviously manipulated him to this point. like he fully does anything dazai will say in the pursuit of his acknowledgement, which i feel culminates pretty obviously in chapter 87/8 (don’t quote me on this i . have not read it for a while). and yes for the greater good whatever whatever either way dazai has coerced this utter disregard of the self for an expendable puppet who will follow his will with little questioning. and as much as atsushi might ‘hate’ akutagawa and everything he stands for, i doubt his morals stand for anything of the sort.  at the end of the day, akutagawa is largely a victim of manipulation. from someone who also manipulated atsushi’s view of him. i wonder how atsushi’s view of him would change should he know his full backstory

so because i maxed out i made some popcorn and was gonna start skam france because the entire 1st season was in m ygoogle docs but i tried the link to dailymotion and it didnt fucking work?????? so i was like cracking my knuckles DETERMINED to get skam france pirated soo i searched skam france online and this francetv website showed up and i went to sign up and you had to be 16 so i was like ok and set my bday to 06 LMAO anyways and then it said to use postal code. bitch. idfk what a postal code is also i think it probably means i have to be in france to watch it for free so i exited out of there and tried some tumblr links but NONE of them had season 1 like what the fuck......... one link i clicked took me to MEGA which is like google drive ig anyways , i had a brilliant idea, so i signed up for MEGA which reallt is just a storage service and then looked up "skam france mega" 1 click BOOM the entire 1st season in my drive thank you v much good day

You guys rlly don't realise how much knowledge is still not committed to the internet. I find books all the time with stuff that is impossible to find through a search engine- most people do not put their magnum opus research online for free and the more niche a skill is the less likely you are to have people who will leak those books online. (Nevermind all the books written prior to the internet that have knowledge that is not considered "relevant" enough to digitise).

Whenever people say that we r growing up with all the world's knowledge at our fingertips...it's not necessarily true. Is the amount of knowledge online potentially infinite? Yes. Is it all knowledge? No. You will be surprised at the niche things you can discover at a local archive or library.
