I'm going to come back and do an individual GIF set for each couple, cause they deserve it. But, sadly this show is over and what a beautiful journey to go on, kudos to all the actors and everyone involved in this production, thank you.
So here's a thing. In episode one Gabriel says "I love you" to Aziraphale and his instinctive reply is "Oh thank you. I..." and then he stops himself. He also absolutely lights up the moment those words are said to him, he beams so brightly, looks so completely deilghted and then has to check himself from saying "I love you too" back to Gabriel. Why? Well, possibly because in that moment Gabriel says it so genuinely to him. He's vulnerable and open and suddenly offers Aziraphale his (platonic) love. Aziraphale delights in it and his instinct is to say something nice back, even if he doesn't really feel it.
So just imagine if Crowley had said it to him in that final episode. If Aziraphale can barely hold back from saying "I love you" to someone he doesn't even like just because they say it openly and genuinely to him, imagine what would have happened if Crowley had actually used those words. Imagine how completely those words would have lit him up if they'd come from someone he actually loves and longs to hear those words from. How on earth would he have resisted saying it back? How differently would that conversation have gone?
I'm so broken over this.
Guys, GUYS. Why is no one talking about the fact that after the reveal, after Arthur sent Merlin AWAY, after he just told Gaius that Merlin is a SORCERER, Arthur STILL TRUSTS Merlin to take word to Guinevere???????
okay, sure, he says: "I want him gone", too. But he STILL TRUSTS HIM to go back to GUINEVERE! His wife, his kingdom, while Arthur is DYING!!! (I assume he wants him to return with the insignia, as Gaius later does)
I am going FERAL over here!
Why I'm randomly watching the final episode you ask? Because it's almost Christmas, obviously.
Thank goodness To Be Continued cleared that dog business up in the finale because the dogs looked different and had different names (Money vs. Coin), and it was all because THEY WERE DIFFERENT. Duh. (I don't know why that was so difficult for me to understand)
And I'm also glad that Ji, a Black Brooder, apologized to his Green Guy farmer boyfriend,
So he could magically become lighter.
That's the power of a good apology (and probably getting laid)
Since both of those things worked so well for his brother and his brother's boyfriend.
If we learn anything from this show, it's that apologies = sex
Because then you get to wear your Blue Boy's color openly when you take him away from the night.
And you can tell everyone about how much you love him in your red suit.
After you send him a red roses to let him know you love him every day.
Then you can sing a song to him in front of everyone about how much you love him every day with the red background while you chill in black.
As he watches in his blue with the red background.
Only for you to change and wear his white!
Because you'll keep wearing it to prove to his family that you love him.
Especially the dad who is hella mad at you.
But it'll be okay because once you apologize to everyone, you two are happy in your colors forever
and ever
SO WHY WOULD YOU WEAR GREEN AT THE END?!
I know he had a back shirt under, but why? WHY? Achi was black and red, Ji was white and blue, and all was well; then, they handed me green in the last second, and I'm just . . . I'm just . . .
I'm just going to look at this image of Gumbie, who was the only Green Guy in this show, to calm me down.
THE WAY Stampy told Veeva they'd want her to come with them though, with that soft voice! The way she almost poisoned his dogs before he immediatley showed her kindness and made her his helper. The way she saved him from the pit of lava in 'Helpless,' and then started to send him letters. The way she told him, "You are only as old as you feel." The way she started walking toward him when he invited her to come with them, before hastily retreating. The way she was running to catch up with him as he left with his friends in the finale.
also the "love over power" moral is such an important thing to learn.
