Y aunque ya no la vea, la quiero, y por lo menos de vez en cuando, me visita en los sueños y hablamos juntos como antes.

What the goddamn hell is wrong with writers these days? ??  Why can NO ONE create a decent, consistent, satisfying plot????  Why do they feel they have to jerk around fans with shock endings or surprises that go against canon and logic????
I could write a mile-long post about everything wrong with both finales, but I’ll restrain myself.
OMFG, I want to slap some writers’ faces so hard right now

But what specifically kicked my ass is just how seriously Tony Gilroy and company took the world of Star Wars, fully considering it as a tangible universe of actual people and material consequence.

Every finale is different
This is the week of several TV premieres and finales. So today, I thought I'd share some recent cartoon finales and how they made me feel.
Phineas and Ferb (ended 6/12/15): The final episode did a great job of ending the show on a high note while also driving the stakes high enough for a finale. This being my favorite childhood show and it ending just prior to my 18th birthday, really made it feel like my childhood was coming to an end. I was able to watch the finale again shortly after viewing it the first time, but it still hit hard.
Gravity Falls (started 6/15/16): Weirdmageddon as a whole wrapped up the show really nicely. The whole thing was near perfection, just like the whole show. I was obsessed with decoding Gravity Falls for a good while, so when the finale happened and there was suddenly nothing left to decode... that felt wrong. And I was left with a gaping hole that no other show has come close to filling.
Milo Murphy's Law (no episode premieres in June... yet): What is now looking like the series finale... looked at the time like just a season finale. It should not have ended like that. We know Dan and Swampy had plans for a third season, it felt like they were planning something even bigger than what they already had, and we can be reasonably certain that MML ended up going out with little fanfare because Disney screwed it over very bad and very often. But at the time I was excited because I thought it was just a season finale and that there would be a third season at some point. It's not looking good for that though. But as it stands now, the MML finale got overshadowed by...
Star vs the Forces of Evil (Mewberty/Pixtopia premiered 6/15/15): The whole finale arc was a dumpster fire. Cornonation was the last really good episode. I get what they were going for, but it just didn't work. And when it was gone, strangely enough, I didn't feel too bad. The show had overstayed its welcome and it was its time to go. And it helped that I wasn't quite as invested in SVTFOE as the others on this list. Sure, I think an extra season would have helped things to not feel so rushed in season 4. But the series felt like it was meant to end at The Battle For Mewni, and the rest was just tacked on after that because they needed to write the rest of season 3, and while they were at it why not chuck on a season 4?
Amphibia (premiered 6/17/19): I'll admit, I wasn't too big a fan of this series at first. I thought it looked like a poor man's version of SVTFOE. But boy was I wrong. The plot of Amphibia progressed naturally and it turned into an amazing story. The world was built perfectly. And the crown jewels of the series were its finales. I have now watched the Amphibia finale twice, as of three weeks later.
Rankings:
5. Star vs the Forces of Evil
4. Phineas and Ferb
3. Milo Murphy's Law
2. Amphibia
1. Gravity Falls
