Wearing Merida’s kirtle at the 2018 EstelCon Tolkien convention alongside TarmaErika as the 12th Doctor :) This outfit is usually for a Tolkien human ranger OC, or for Emeldir the Brave-hearted from The Silmarillion.

Late 14th Century-early 15th Century damask cottehardie with linen chemise (comissioned), tablet-woven silk fillet (comissioned), decorative veil beaded with faux pearls (by me), leather embossed belt and purse (comissions), at a Tolkien convention back in 2019. Featuring Tarmaerika and DarkSapiens.
The hairstyle is a typical 14th Century style with double 3-strand braids coiled around the ears and crossed over the head to be gathered at the nape of the neck. I used 2 open pins which are very similar to those used back then, as well as a wool burgundy and moss green paranda braided with my hair to add thickness and colour to the style.

✨🍃 Tolkien throwback - Elven variation of my 14th century cottehardie for a night of music and reading at the 2018 EstelCon, the annual convention of the Spanish Tolkien Society. With @tarmaerika as Bilbo ✨📚🍰 . Fun fact - This was the debut of this cotte, and at the end of the night I found out that it had ripped off completely at one shoulder, just by raising my arms 😱😅. Had it altered with historically accurate triangular gores at the shoulder afterwards, and now I can fully move my arms without it ripping, which is good 😅, but the shoulders have become baggier than I'd like because with this synthetic damask (which is gorgeous, but not flexible at all, compared to say, wool cottes) you can't have both 😅

Noldorin Rivendell Elf OC at the 2018 EstelCon Tolkien convention - Upgraded my ‘green velvet erudite’ outfit with a new tunic and sash, following the Rivendell ‘male’ fashion (to me it’s unisex), which I’ve always seen as both comfortable and elegant 💚 . The tunic is a super lucky find - a silk-velvet robe from Zara which immediately caught my eye because of the gorgeous moss green colour with red-purple lining (that’s one of my fave colour combinations ever 💚💜). It looks really close to a Rivendell robe, I just needed to add front buttons, and have the sleeves altered to get the bell shape they have going on in the Hobbit Rivendell costumes 😁 . For the sash I got a gorgeous dupioni silk in nearly the same red-purple of the robe’s lining 💜💜. The embroidery is based in Elrond’s Council sash. I could only embroider half of the sash for the convention, and it’s been ages since I’ve embroidered xD, but I quite enjoyed it 😊. I’ve also realized that Arwen’s Farewell dress sash has nearly the exact same design and colour I’ve chosen for this OC, so I might have added that dress to the list too xD . The dark green velvet robe I’ve already had since one of my very first Elven cosplays back in my teen years (the ‘green velvet erudite’ pics I posted a while back as an upgrade of srots), so glad the colour palette all fits together 😁! Rest of the outfit was a ridged fitted inner jumper in black that I also use for my Spock in Vulcan robes, some purple jeggings, and thigh black boots.

Erendis cosplay mini shoot at the 2017 EstelCon (annual convention of the Spanish Tolkien Society)
This is the late 15th Century gold yellow damask kirtle I wear under my Burgundian V-neck houppelande, also doubling as (part of) an Italian Renaissance outfit :D
Why Erendis in 15th Century kirtles? I might be heavily inspired by some of @croclock ‘s gorgeous Erendis art and now I see many Bëorian Númenóreans adopting this kind of fashion whoops xD).
I also kind of love the contrast between the bright gold yellow of this gown and Erendis’ serious, stoic and imposing character (as well as her sombre story filled with double standards and ye olde male entitlement). Erendis is one of my favourite Tolkien women and her feminist side is badass af.
My Evenstar pendants double as everything these days, from the Nauglamír to Elestirnë’s star xD
Also, how Númenórean-looking is that tile mosaic, though :D??

15th Century Burgundian gown/ ⚔️🦁 fem!Godric Gryffindor ⚔️🦁 /Headcanon Noldorin court fashion cosplay at the 2017 EstelCon (annual convention of the Spanish Tolkien Society)
My Burgundian reenactment/Fem!Gryffindor/Noldorin court gown, at an October convention. This was a Tolkien convention, so I wore this Burgundian reenactment as a Noldorin Elven version, with pointy ears xD. There is some casual Fem!Godric Gryffindor doing wandless magic as well, though xD
15th Century Burgundian fashion wasn’t a headcanon of mine for Elven fashion before this, but I can totally see the (in my headcanon at least) quite fashion-extravagant Noldor wearing this kind of court fashion xD The looped braids and tall hennin kind of showcase the pointy ears, too!
The festive dinner was at a 11-12th Century Templar castle (the Miravet castle in Tarragona), and my reenactment/cosplay is mid 15th Century, but..close enough xDD And I had to walk a LOT and climb a LOT in Burgundian attire (which includes two layers, meters of velvet, a 1 m train, pointy shoes, a bag with the hennin, and a velvet cloak xD) to reach the castle, that was quite an exhausting experience :S xD
Future plans include a reenactment shoot in an actual 15th Century castle, and an actual Gryffindor shoot with wand and magic and stuff 😁
