This week's storyboard had me yelling from the moment I got my hands on it last Monday. Why? Well for one it's Wizards (Which is already a struggle), for two it has content that didn't make it to the final which is always a delight and three, it contains Charlemagne! He's up there with Zoe, any of the Order and the doubt it'll ever be public Lady of the Lake in terms of rarity.

So may I present this delightful sequence by Tom Sales which is from the episode Dragon's Den!

i absolutely love alicent's ep 5 arc.

she begins the ep alone. without allies. without friends. without family. a hightower in the dragons' den.

everyone just expects alicent to silently accept her fate. to be grateful that she was chosen as viserys's king consort. to wear the Targaryen colors and be at her husband's disposal.

but alicent puts up a fucking fight. she's done trying to fit in and please people that have no respect for her.

i also love how my queen immediately went to the hightowers' table. she wants everybody to know exactly who she is.

"i worried that given leave of your father's shadow, you might wither in king landing's sun. but you stood tall"

and in the end, she ends up making a friend that will become her lifelong companion and biggest supporter.

Ghost loses another bet but this time with KorTac

Ghost was working with KorTac when he made a bet, so no one from 141 was there to stop him. KorTac had no idea what they were getting themselves into when they told Ghost what he had to wear for a whole day. Connor was the first to see Ghost after he lost the bet. He was eating a sandwich and immediately choked on it when he saw what Ghost was wearing.

Ghost stood confidently in the sleeveless crop top, tight pants that left nothing to the imagination. He noticed Connor choking and walked over, seemingly clueless to what was ailing him.

“What’s wrong?”

No one understood the text Connor sent out.

“Ghost is wearing a tiny shirt.”

Oni and Fender were minding their own business when Ghost walked by. Fender’s jaw dropped while Oni just took out his phone to snap a picture because he felt like he was going to need proof of this. He sent the picture to the group chat which almost immediately exploded. Everyone in KorTac now seemed to be on the hunt to find Ghost and witness what he was wearing first hand.

Roze found him quickly and stopped him, “Ghost… that waist is criminal.”

Ghost juts his hip to the side in response, “You think so?”

Roze grins, “For a sweatshirt you cut yourself it looks killer. But I bet I could make it even better.”

141 felt dead at the moment. Soap didn’t have any energy to do anything other than lay around and watch TV. Apparently Gaz and Price shared the same idea and joined him in the rec room and they served the channels to find a good show.

“If you play another episode of Dragon’s Den I will throw you off this couch.”

Soap let’s out a short laugh, knowing that Price was too comfortable to move. Gaz’s phone buzzed for the first time that day and he picked it up to see what it was. Gaz’s eyes widened but he remained silent, slowly sitting up. Soap notices this and stares at him.

“Something up?”

Gaz stutters, “No! No, definitely not! Nothing is up!”

Soap sits up, “Kyle… What are you hiding from me?”

Price looks at his phone as the three of them get a message, “Oh no…”

Soap goes to look at his phone but Gaz lunges across the couch and snatches it from him. He falls to the floor and scrambles to his feet before taking off. Soap jumps off the couch after him.

“KYLE GET YOUR ASS BACK HERE!”

They run through the base, Gaz barely dodging Soap with tight turns and sliding under his arms. But Gaz’s luck ran out and Soap managed to grab him.

“My. Phone.”

Gaz tries to hold his arm out to keep said phone away but it was no use. Soap grabs it and keeps Gaz pinned as he opens his messages. Soap feels his face burst into flames as he sees the photos sent to them from KorTac. The first message was from Roze.

“The boys are having a good time here.”

The photo that followed almost killed Soap.

Ghost leaning against a tank, his Lieutenant Riley sweatshirt cut into a crop top, showing off his waist and stomach. Soap could see his lightly colored treasure trail and almost fainted. The next photo was Ghost squished between König and Horangi, who were also wearing crop tops. Horangi was wearing a tiger crop top (of course) while König wore a lacey white crop top that was practically a second skin.

The new crop top that Ghost wore was fucking fish net over a what looked like a sports bra. Soap didn’t even realize when Gaz shoved him off of him, he was too hypnotized by what was on his phone. He could barely hear what Gaz was saying to Price when he walked up. All he could think was—

Where’s KorTac’s base again?

Summary: Set directly after Season 1 Episode 3 “Replacements”

Omega waits until the ship falls almost entirely silent before she tries to sneak out of her new room. She practices the quiet footfalls she learned from following Hunter on Kamino, creeping down the dim hall to where she remembered Wrecker pointing out the med kit during his grand tour of the Marauder. Her knees burn where the fabric of her leggings rubs on the raw skin from where she fell following the Ordo Moon Dragon into its den.

After glancing up at the cockpit where Hunter has first watch, Omega carefully pulls the kit off the shelf and lifts the lid, setting it aside. She frowns as she stares into the messy array of medical supplies. Great. So much for being quiet, she thinks sourly. All she needs is bandages, and maybe some antibiotic ointment to prevent any infection. She begins her search, quickly finding bandages, but struggling to find the antibiotic. She is debating on how necessary the ointment is when a voice says above her, “What are you doing?”

Omega wishes she could deny the pathetic squeak of alarm that escapes her lungs before she clasps both hands over her mouth, dropping the bandages back into the chaos of the kit. Curses!

“Hunter,” she says, looking up at the Sargent. She isn’t sure if he meant to sneak up on her or not, but by the guilty look on his face, she suspects not. Omega scrambles to her feet. “Sorry. I just—sorry. Uhm…”

Hunter looks down at the med kit. “Are you hurt, kid?” he asks.

Omega’s cheeks burn with embarrassment, though she can’t decide if it’s more from being caught sneaking into the med kit or having to admit she’s hurt. Needing bandages for scraped up knees sounds so childish when compared to the injuries her brothers must’ve sustained over their lives as soldiers. “No, I’m fine. Really.”

Hunter gives her a look, and Omega can’t hold his gaze, averting her eyes to the shadows in the corner.

“Omega,” Hunter says gently but firmly, “in this squad, we do not hide injuries.”

“It’s not an injury,” Omega protests, “I just sorta scraped my knees up when I was crawling around in that cave on Ordo Moon. It’s nothing!”

“Let me be the judge of that,” Hunter says, picking up the med kit and nodding toward the cockpit.

Omega frowns, but follows Hunter, climbing into the copilot’s seat. She rolls up her leggings to expose the torn-up skin on her knees. Honestly, it looks and feels worse than it actually is, she knows; however, the expression on Hunter’s face when he kneels down in front of her to examine the damage for himself makes her eyes burn. He looks so…concerned. Over something so minor. Whenever something like this happened in the lab, Nala Se would tell Omega she was more than capable of taking care of herself.

“‘Mega,” he says softly, “You should have told us.”

Omega blinks, surprised by the nickname. She’s never had a nickname before…unless she counted being called kid…

“I didn’t want to be a bother,” Omega says. She sniffs and roughly rubs a fist over her eyes to hide the tears that come.

Hunter smiles at her, a small thing that is barely noticeable, but she sees it. “It’s never a bother to take care of our own, Omega. You don’t know how many bloodied scrapes I’ve cleaned up and bandaged over the years, for all our brothers, and they’ve done the same for me. And you’re one of us now, right?”

Omega nods. She doesn’t trust her voice to come out without wobbling.

“That means,” Hunter continues, starting to rummage through the med kit, “when you get hurt, no matter how small you think it is, you’ll let one of us know, right?”

Omega nods again.

Hunter works with practiced ease, and with a gentleness Omega hadn’t entirely expected from a soldier. When he is finished, Omega rolls her leggings back into place while Hunter puts away the med kit. When he returns, Omega smiles at him. “Thank you, Hunter.”

“Sure thing, kid,” Hunter says, ruffling her hair. “You’d better get back to bed.”

“Yes, sir!” Omega slides out of the seat. She walks back to her gunner’s mount room feeling lighter.

As she curls back up under her blankets, hugging Lula close, she decides that having brothers is even better than she imagined it would be.

I Completed Lessons 1-10. Here's what happened, and the ending I got.

Alright! After about 15 hr 23 min total of F2P playing, I've completed all 10 lessons with all main stories/episodes watched. Granted, anything past lesson 4 isn't full S completed anymore, and I am very broke, but eh.

Anyways, here's some pictures of how it's going:

The boss levels are basically beating up the boys... Well, uh, if you're mad at one of the seven, go play their boss level, ig?

Solomon's cooking is so bad it caused Henry 1.0 to rapidly polymorph temporarily into random things

Henry 1.0 was originally huge. Levi befriended the snake when both of them were hiding from Satan

Henry 1.0 became regular snake sized bc Sol shrank him 😐 This means the shrink spell wore off, apparently.

The building that you and Sol share is called Cocytus Hall. I wonder where this building would be present day..? Did it get recycled?

Newly-demon brothers are being discriminated

Cerberus was obtained bc of a rumor that anyone who tames it becomes Ruler of the Underworld.

Mammon rallies everyone behind Luci's back to find and tame Cerberus

On the way there, we discover that we can still summon the brothers (We summon Beel to eat a magically growing pile of apples)

Apprehension attempt on Cerberus did not succeed. Luci saves everyone and tames Cerberus. Someone leaks these news and this is how the seven brothers become the seven rulers.

We become one of the three core founding members of RAD lmao

Somehow we get caught in a dream(?) with Levi in the TSL world. Levi does not know TSL at this point in time. Anyways, he summons Lotan at the end of it, who apparently actually appeared in real life, flooded the room, and then left.

Fuck i forgot when this happened so I'll just leave it here, but: Satan turned everyone except you and Lucifer into Chihuahuas. Including himself. Thankfully, the spell had a limit so it didn't last long

Angels enter the scene! For RAD consultation.

Apparently at some point the bottom of Asmo's bathtub becomes a portal.

Solomon is a fucking bastard and pushes everyone into the bathtub. You choose if you go in by your own will or if he also pushes you.

It leads to the Celestial Realm??? No lol jk, it's actually inside a very familiar looking labyrinth and y'all are being chased by a giant spider, fuck.

Solomon remakes pact with Asmo to distract spider.

Solomon then summons Barbatos

Unfortunately at some point he pissed Barbs off so he's ticked off by this summon. Barbs teleports the spider away and Sol uses his pact to force him to make a portal back home, but Barbs gets mad and later TELEPORTS HIM TO A DRAGON'S DEN LMAO

dw he's alright! He returns next lesson with a dragon egg.

Bad news! Diavolo and Barbatos realize you're human and not a demon after... What/when is this? 6-7 lessons? Yeah. Anyways, Dia tells you that you should pack up bc he's sending you back to the human world. You're another distraction, so to eliminate some stress, you're being deported, sorry. This is not a good thing.

Mammon and crew - except Luci obviously take on a ghost hunting job at the tome place idk I forgot the spelling

Mammon gets fucking possessed by a human ghost named Adam after you read his name off of a tomestone bc it was written in a human language.

Adam says that a demon killed him with consent many years ago bc Adam was trying to look for his lover but their dead

In case it wasn't obvious, that you.

Also, the demon knew you'd have the Ring of Light on you still. Anyways, Adam tells you that the demon's name/alias was Nightbringer. Guys, it's a fucking name drop!!!

You manage to open the gates for Adam by slurping up some of the brothers' powers and by the powers of the ring

Next day, you get a letter telling you to meet Dia concerning your expulsion, which Sol comes with you to try and change Dia's mind.

Suddenly, Belphegor basically kicks open the doors to demand that Beel be released. Apparently, he's been jailed. Shit, isn't that a parallel or what, huh?

Apparently, he suddenly got out of control and rampaged. Dia manages to pin him down and get him into a cell with sheer strength alone, but later escapes in the next lesson after you confront Luci and Belphegor who had a spat.

You, Luci, and Belphie get blamed for causing all of this 🥴 Especially by Barbs. Anyways, using your magic siphoning ability from your future pacts and the Ring of Light, you knock Beel out. Lesson 10 ends with you revealing that you're human and Dia and everyone wondering who tf you are to have this kind of power.

That was a lie. The very last scene was actually Satan and Simeon watching a cat that you introduced to Satan before you left with Luci and Belphie and discover the rampaging Beel. "Do you think MC will come back before the cat wakes up?" "I hope so."

Context for the quotes on the Nightbringer site:

Lucifer; "My pride hurt my brothers": I actually don't remember this one. I don't even know if my choices led up to this one. Will maybe revisit everything tomorrow or sum

Mammon; "We chose to follow Lucifer here. We all had reasons for doin' what we did.": This is from when Mammon is trying to convince the other brothers to join him in his search for Cerberus. He's tired of being discriminated, and doesn't regret his choice.

Leviathan; "I never wanted to come to this awful place, to begin with!": When Diavolo meets with the brothers concerning plans for RAD and about possibly making an announcement to show the brothers'presence, Levi is against this. He doesn't want the attention.

Satan; "I can barely stand being around them. It's torture.": Obviously, "them" are his "brothers". I can assume when he says this, but I think I can guess when it is. It was probably after he stormed off once the others discuss what the Celestial Realm was like. He's never seen that place, and he can't relate to the other brothers.

Asmodeus; "I want to return to the Celestial Realm...! I want to be an angel again! The way I used to be... White wings and all!": This is during the weird portal in the bathtub scene. He had tried to move on from the fall, but Simeon's appearance reminds him of what he lost again. He's scared of the fact that he's getting used to his demon self and that he's forgetting what it was like to be an angel.

Beelzebub; "I have a big secret that I've never been able to tell... Not even to Belphie.": I've actually never encountered this one bc I didn't get close to Beel. Has anyone seen this one?

Belphegor; "Who deserves to be punished the most?": After Lucifer temporarily admits defeat and doesn't stand up to Diavolo to let Beel go, Belphegor gets angry. He's scared that he'll lose another sibling. After telling you about Lilith and how stubborn she was, he admits that he doesn't know who to blame: Lilith for breaking the rules, the angels for directly killing her (or was this second one the other brothers for not doing more? I forgot damn), or himself for not protecting Lilith.

Anyways, that's all I can think of rn. Do note though that in Nightbringer, choices apparently actually matter so you may have gotten different results!

Lee stopped acting in the 1990s due to his mother's ailing health. This resulted in the production of Hemoxygen, a range of nutritional supplements.

In 2009, Lee made a brief appearance in an episode of the popular American crime series Numb3rs. Lee also voiced several characters in the 2012 video game Sleeping Dogs.

Wild Kratts Episode Ideas

We made it another year. 2024, specifically, January 3rd, 2024, marks the 13th anniversary of Wild Kratts, which first aired in 2011 with Mom of a Croc. I remember first watching the bros as a toddler with Zoboomafoo, and I have grown up with Wild Kratts, from kindergarten to college. I owe the bros for opening my eyes to how amazing the creature world is. To celebrate, I wanted to share some episode ideas I came up with:

Fish Hacking 101: Chris and Martin desire to master the hunting techniques of the mysterious tentacled snake. But to Gourmand, the obscure serpent is just another ingredient for his latest dish.

Yetis and Leopards: To keep the bros away while they plan a surprise party, Aviva sends the bros looking for snow leopards. However, they find the mysterious cats much quicker than expected, forcing Aviva to keep the bros away from the Tortuga by baiting them with a Yeti robot she built, but snow leopards are great hunters.

Upriver With a Paddlefish: During Tortuga maintenance day, Koki goes kayaking, when she is hit by a jumping sturgeon. Injured and with her creature pod busted, the brothers find an unlikely hope in another strange looking fish.

Inferno the Fire Hawk: While visiting Australia, the crew observe a black kite intentionally setting fires. Paisley learns of this too, and hires Zach to mind control the birds into obeying her.

Dot and Stripe's Big Day: The crew have successfully rehabilitated a pair of orphaned Malayan tapir twins. But the spots the crew have chosen to release the siblings in have each been claimed by older, tougher tapirs. Aviva gives the bros Tapir powers so they can traverse the jungle and find new, suitable territory for the twins.

Ice Day for Salamanders: In the most ambitious experiment yet, the brothers freeze themselves alive in Siberian Salamander Powers for a day. However, Paisley abducts the brothers, intending to auction them off to the other villains to finance her schemes.

The Perfect Mudskipper Name: Martin's attempt to ride a mudskipper lead to him loosing his suit, and a mudskipper merging with it, like Seven did. The now humanoid fish kicks the gang out of the Tortuga, and all efforts to get him out of the ship and the suit fail. The brothers must learn to fight like a mudskipper to win their ship back, and get the fish back to normal.

Parrotfish Beach: While at the beach, Martin chances across a parrotfish. Not having seen one of the vibrant fish since they saved some from Zach and Donita, the team get to work to make a new suit. Meanwhile, Paisley has decided to create her newest road right through the reef, using a monstrosity of a machine she calls, "The Colossus of Roads".

Nudibranch Bingo: After finding a Blue Dragon Sea Slug, the brothers head to the Philippines in a game to see who can find the most species of sea slugs. Unbeknownst to them, Donita has hacked their cameras, so she can find and collect the colorful invertebrates to use in her newest designs, having grown bored of regular gems and jewels.

Hagfish Day: After finding out hagfish have a day dedicated to them, yet barely anybody knows about them, the brothers take the Pulponaut to the bottom of the sea to look for the elusive slime eels.

Jimmy and the Silverback: While his friends go off with a Gorilla troop, Jimmy laments his fear getting in the way of his desire to explore. Fortunately for him, another troop comes to the Tortuga. Unfortunately, the bros, Aviva, Koki, and the first troop, get in trouble, and Jimmy must step up to save his friends, and the gorilla.s

What Big Teeth You Have: While diving, the brothers chance upon a den of Wolf Eels and their eggs. Soon though, the bros must take up the duty to defend the nest after the parents are injured. While their friends take care of the expecting parents, Chris and Martin must keep the eggs safe. But competition is fierce. Octopus and other Wolf Eels want the den, and the brothers must keep them away.

Do the Velvet Worm: The brothers are on a long overdue adventure to find the rare and mysterious velvet worm, who thrive in wet and warm environments. But Paisley's newest scheme threatens to destroy the home of the worms, and all the other creatures there.

Keeping up with the Hornbills: Chris and Martin seal themselves in with an expecting mother Hornbill so that they can document the process, but when Donita teams up with Paisley to collect animals from the forest she is destroying, the tree the bros are in gets tossed into the river.

Condor Crash Course: A malfunction of the Tortuga's new autopilot system causes the ship to crash at the end of the Andes Mountains, and the crew are stuck at the other end. Martin thinks they could traverse the mountains with condor powers, but the trick is to find the birds first.

Quetzals of Then and Now: Aviva tells her friends the story of how her grandmother obtained the feathers of the Corcovado family birdie in a massive creature adventure.

Four Kratts and Some Saigas: The brothers' sisters come to visit, but creature adventuring doesn't stop for family reunions. The crew get a call of a herd of Saiga suffering from a bacteria infection.

Vampire Deer: The brothers learn about Chinese Water Deer, which have fangs in lieu of antlers. But the investigation into these weird deer is interrupted by Donita, who wants to use the deer as material for her new line of formal wear: Donita's Deer-est.

24 Hours in Lake Baikal: From freshwater seals to special sponges, and even weird natural formations, the record-holding Lake Baikal has caught the brothers' interest. It has also caught the interest of Gourmand and Paisley, who team up to make sure the brothers don't interfere.

Queen of the Meerkats: Struck by how fierce meerkats are, Zach captures the head female and several others to use in his new line of "Zach-Tion Figure" toys. Chris and Martin must save the meerkats while their friends keep what's rest of the fragile hierarchy from falling apart.

Olm's World: The brothers realized they never got around to making Olm powers. They return to Europe to find the mysterious "human-fish", so they can figure out the secrets of the unique salamander, such as how it can live for so long despite being blind.

Jamming With Moths: While building more bat boxes for their friend Bite-Size, Chris realizes the Little-Brown Bat, and all the other bats, are struggling to catch moths. The team is spurred by curiosity to determine whether the echolocation of a bat is truly a fool proof adaptation.

Be the Bee Eater: Bee Eaters are disappearing, and Zach is behind it. He plans to mind control the birds and sell them around the world as insect catchers.

Jumping Spider Jubilee: The crew split up to find the most unique species of jumping spiders. They will meet hunters, dancers, and even one little spider who lives up very high.

Night with a Not-Lizard: Impatient to study tuataras, a miniaturized Chris injures his leg, and he must use his skills, and the powers of the Tuatara, to avoid rats and other hungry predators to get back to the Tortuga.

Hibiki is the rider i probably know the least about. I know it was originally not conceptualized as a rider show, but became one. and is really different from every other rider show. and got a bunch of the staff changed halfway through bc Bandai wasn't happy with it and they brought in Inoue to do the back half. and uhhh... theyre Onis? and they all have musical instruments? and theres a kid character a lot of people hate? the production sounded like a Huge Fuckin Mess.

Ginga Nagareboshi Gin

Tells a story about a bear dog in the 80's who collects a big group of dogs to fight a big bear, is an anime and manga.

The manga continues with the dogs that are alive to fight wolves who have special techniques to fight.

Ginga Densetsu Weed

Continuation to Ginga Nagarebpshi Gin, and tells a story about wild dogs fighting a big gene manipulated dog and also a normal dog who plays foul. An anime and a manga, tho the anime isnt the best animated beside the episode 5.

The manga continues with fight towards other dogs and "hybrid" bears.

Note: at least comparing Gin and Weed anime's, Weed has more humane characters who cry for their friends a lot more and has more variety in character than just a strong dogs like Gin

F&B's description of Helaena isn't that much different from TWOIAF — it only says she was plumper and not as strikingly beautiful as most Targaryens. She was pleasant and happy as a 13-year-old at her marriage (sigh grrm) to her brother Aegon, and gave birth to twins (Jaehaerys and Jaehaera) a year later, and to another boy (Maelor) 4 years after that.

However, by the time of Viserys's death she seemed somewhat displeased with Aegon to the point of sarcasm — when they came to her rooms to tell him his father died and he was king, Aegon wasn't there, and she was like, "Aegon's not in my bed, you can check under the blankets to make sure." As Aegon was actually (depending on the source) either in his mistress's bed, or in a skeevy den in Flea Bottom (featuring bloodsport of feral children) with an extremely underage prostitute, you can see why the years of marriage to him might try her patience.

Unfortunately, there's not a lot else about Helaena during the pre-war period. At the reconciliation banquet (that failed miserably), there's no mention that she minded that Jace asked her to dance, but Aegon was offended and things nearly came to blows. She was apparently close to her mother and close to her father and took her kids to visit them every day. Dreamfyre, her dragon, is described as "beloved". After the Green and Black coronations but before the war actually started, Helaena was in favor of a parley (along with her mother) instead of immediate outright war. Pretty basic until the war began, until "a son for a son", after which she became suicidally depressed. 😭

However, Helaena's daughter Jaehaera is described with terms that seem to be implying (by the author, not the in-world writer who doesn't have the knowledge or vocabulary) she was on the autism spectrum, some sort of neurodiversity — that is, lack of emotion and affect from infancy. It seems likely that HOTD is borrowing from Jaehaera for their version of Helaena, giving her some behaviors that a lot of neurodiverse fans are identifying with. Note that they've also made her a dreamer, like they also did with Viserys; there's no textual basis for either of them to be so, but the skeptic maester of record wouldn't know such details or likely believe in prophecies anyway. (Mind you there's also a popular epic fanfic where Helaena is a dreamer, but she's somewhat of a minor character and it's so au that it's almost certainly just a coincidence.)

Oh, also, here's an illustration from F&B (by Doug Wheatley) of Helaena and the kids visiting Viserys shortly before he died:

It's interesting, while the text says the twins listened attentively to the king's fantasy adventure tale while the 2-year-old Maelor played with a ring Viserys gave him, instead Wheatley chose to draw the boys enthralled by the story while Jaehaera ignores it, instead apparently fascinated by the ring. Makes me wonder if the text was changed last minute? Or if Wheatley read Jaehaera's earlier description and thought she'd be the one more into the ring than the story, and so picked it up when the baby dropped it? (But then the twins don't really look 6 and Maelor definitely doesn't look 2, plus it looks like Viserys has all his fingers, so I shouldn't be too picky.)

Either way, you can imagine the HOTD creators seeing this image and deciding that Jaehaera is how they'd like to characterize young Helaena. (Though with bugs instead of rings. 🐛🕷) We'll just have to wait for the next episodes to see how she's characterized as a young adult...

Dragon Age: Absolution Episode 3

the episode title is clever, The Serpent's Coil. it's like, they're going further into danger/the lion's den, only with serpent Tevinter imagery instead, it's dangerous, etc, but also like, as Miriam meets Rezaren again for the first time since her escape at the end of the episode, that's her ensnared once again in this treacherous snake's clutches

"Emergency grenades" reminded me of "Emergency - induction - port"

Between three stories and five Lords of Fortune, the LoFs felt quite prominent in Tevinter Nights. Interestingly here they are once again front n center with Lacklon's character. LoFs are known for wearing trinkets and their treasure - I wonder if that's what the various gold items Lacklon wears is (earrings, bracelets, the belt etc). If so that means he survived as a LoF for more than a year or two, which entitles a LoF to do so

hhh "nug-humping" takes me back to "BARTRAND! You nug-humping bastard!". this insult always feels like the dwarf equivalent of "sheep-shagger"

Building on what we learned in episode 2, which stated that the palace's security system is designed to kill everyone in the palace in order to stop a full-scale coup, in this episode we learn that "full-scale coup" more specifically means a full scale slave revolt/rebellion. designing a security system to brutally put down a slave rebellion using the bodies of dead slaves as walking corpse fighters to kill said slaves is.. grim

Tassia is really badass, strong and stalwart, a tank, protective of her men and refusing to put a magical macguffin above the lives of her men

^ from the fact that they're walking corpses who appeared from the palace, I guess these are the bodies of the dead slaves that Marconius IV put in the walls

in DA:I the Necromancy skill tree color is all purpley, I guess that's why when the walking corpses are felled they burst into that purpley-colored cloud

aaaaa but the fight scenes in this show just make me really excited and hyped for combat in DA:D

I appreciate that Mr Lacklon is sometimes shown out of breath or sweating after physical exertion such as walking long distances uphill or a fight. not everyone ever is a high-stamina, chiselled athlete, but they can still be badass, cool and fight :) u know?

when Hira asks "You have the Circulum?" she is channelling Gollum there a lil for a min there

when Hira says "Not if you want me to stay in one piece too" she looks down, looks sad, shuts her eyes and touches her necklace. it feels like a moment of apology to the dead father she won't avenge and a moment of resignation that she won't be able to personally carry out her plan

'Take it to my own contact in Kirkwall, at a place called the Hanged Man' - so this was basically a fake story from Hira, right, or there is a Red Templar remnant contact that she really would have met in the Hanged Man to on-pass the Circulum. on the first watch I believed Hira's story here at face-value, I was led by the suggestion of the familiar and wondered if perhaps the so-called contact was Varric Tethras. smart, a good misleading/twist. like, that would have made a lot of sense if it was true, Varric's still doing Inquisition remnant stuff e.g. the report of the Genitivi expedition in Tevinter Nights being sent to Varric, Gatt in Half Up Front basically telling Irian and Vadis "go talk to Varric Tethras" etc. showrunners, I see what you did there!!

Qwydion is brave 🥺 she's scared, and the exit and salvation was right there shining bright and within touching distance, but despite all she'd seen and her fear she went back to help those less capable than she 🥺.. it's harder to be brave and do the right thing when you're afraid. a good egg

Ooh, Qwydion used that metal pole she took from one of the elves as a lightning rod for Chain Lightning! very cool. also I like how some of the spells in the show are clearly identifiable as in-game spells, like Chain Lightning or Wall of Fire. it makes it feel like Dragon Age and shows the show creators played the games and tried to incorporate small details like this

Prisoner of the stone

Here and here I already mentioned that the black lake always was considered by humans as the evil (also Emperor called it as "bowels of hate", i.e. insides/womb of hate). However, what's interesting, the lake and its spikes haven't become a part of their myths/beliefs (what, I actually found both interesting and fortunate, 'cause it adds more unique details instead of blind copying of something cliched).

Hmm, interesting, after 5-8 years of Aku's existing the spikes, created by the black lake in "Birth of Evil", disappeared... Although, here I mentioned my personal interpretation, based on what the episodes demonstrated, of what these spikes actually are (from one side, defensive mechanism, which protects the lake and explores the environment, getting important information; from another side, dead siblings of Aku, which weren't able to be born, hence they became this defensive mechanism), still let's assume, how Jack's ancestors could imagine the nature of this entity.

The most obvious, of course, is that the lake either itself is some evil spirit or it is a den of evil spirits — bitumen pits or swamps are perfect places for becoming a den of evil entities in myths.

What's about the spikes? Well, humans could imagine that these spikes are victims of the lake, i.e. former humans (and maybe animals), drowned in this lake, either killed or transformed into these spikes, hence their souls are trapped forever in these spikes, until "the evil" will be destroyed (and this assumption foreshadows Demongo the Collector of souls and the dragon-like shadow from the Haunted House episode in some senses).

Plus, in some senses, after Emperor imprisoned him, Aku also became the soul, trapped in the stone.

Without a right to move or to speak. That reminds me a lot the animated short from 50s "Brave Heart", where the mountain spirit Kakzamu from Udege legends lived among dead wasteland, full of stones.

These stones are humans he transformed into stones, since they were intruders on his territory.

They don't die, they are trapped in stones (their soul/mind, if you well), until he wants to free them, turning into human again, but in this case the lucky one has to run as fast as possible, or else the spirit will change his mind.

And this guy also could take animal forms.
