Y’all. Leverage and Leverage Redemption are some of the best f*cking exposés about every layer of corruption that exists in our world.
Why? Because they can make each episode/story have the most satisfying ending, and it’s so fun to watch because of the camp.
But also, where else are you going to watch a show that makes you think about how there are people out in the world who exploit and abuse like competitive video game players? Where would you even begin to think about that? But they did it and they’re right… those people exist.
Abuse and corruption is everywhere. And not only does it talk about this system existing and thriving, but it also illuminates how it doesn’t matter how much you fight every corrupt person, because the system itself is broken. But helping one person at a time by exposing their abuser is a good place to start.
With film on shaky grounds right now, we NEED to keep fighting for these stories. We need to fight for the anti-capitalist rhetoric of leverage. The gay/trans supportive storylines of Good Omens. The modern issues brought up in Futurama. All of it.
We need people to be able to see themselves and see their stories so we can also fight to change their circumstances.

The Marvels of Marketing
I couldn’t help but wonder… why is there no marketing for the Marvels movie? The Marvels, the upcoming superhero film starring Brie Larson, Teyonah Parris and Iman Vellani, is set to hit the theaters on November 10, 2023. It is the sequel to Captain Marvel, Avengers: Endgame, WandaVision, Ms. Marvel and Secret Invasion, and the sixth installment of Phase Five of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It is also the first Marvel movie to be directed by a woman of color, Nia DaCosta.
You would think that such a big and anticipated movie would have a huge marketing campaign, with posters, trailers, interviews, merchandise and social media buzz. But surprisingly, there is almost no marketing for the Marvels movie. The only official trailer was released on September 25, 2023, less than two months before the release date. The posters are scarce and generic, featuring only the logo and the title. The cast and crew are not doing any press tours or talk shows. The official website and social media accounts are barely updated. The merchandise is limited and bland.
Why is that? Is it because Marvel Studios is confident that the movie will sell itself, based on the popularity and loyalty of its fanbase? Is it because they want to keep the plot and the surprises under wraps, to avoid spoilers and leaks? Is it because they want to create a sense of mystery and curiosity, to generate more word-of-mouth and hype? Or is it because they are afraid that the movie will not live up to the expectations, and that it will face backlash or criticism from some segments of the audience?
As a fan of Marvel movies, I am excited to see the Marvels movie. I am curious to see how Carol Danvers AKA Captain Marvel will team up with Kamala Khan AKA Ms. Marvel and Monica Rambeau AKA Photon, and how they will save the universe from a new threat. I am also interested to see how Nia DaCosta will bring her vision and style to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and how she will handle the diversity and representation of the characters.
But as a writer and a consumer, I am also frustrated by the lack of marketing for the Marvels movie. I feel like I am missing out on the excitement and anticipation that usually comes with a big blockbuster release. I feel like I am not getting enough information or content to satisfy my curiosity and interest. I feel like I am not being valued or respected as a potential customer.
Maybe I am being too harsh or impatient. Maybe Marvel Studios knows what they are doing, and they have a master plan for their marketing strategy. Maybe they are waiting for the right moment to unleash their full marketing power, and blow us away with their creativity and quality. Maybe they are saving the best for last.
Or maybe they are taking us for granted.
And that’s something that no marvel can fix.

So, I don't mix politics at work. Today a confederate flag and a Maga hat walks in my store. I just watched the funeral of a friend.. he was a 26 yr retail veteran District manager.. a Black man, and a great leader..
With those emotions on my mind, I still assist the people even though I instantly know where I land in their hierarchy. I let my assistant deal with them. So after they leave I say. Glad you were here because I am not sure they would worked with me. Then my assistant a 30 something white male says, I don't really talk politics but I am definitely voting for Trump.. his rational reason was.... it is too much emphasis on marginalized people, and he is tired of the attention to any minority group.
So it seems Diversity, Equality & inclusion is democratic thing.
White man burden huh? We are the wretched of the earth.
He will vote against his best interests to put another group down. This is America 🇺🇸 😑

Tapuwa Dangarembizi Sustainable Solutions: The Economic Advantages of Renewable Energy for Industries
Various industries are quickly recognizing the critical importance of implementing sustainable practices and embracing renewable energy sources. This increased awareness stems from increasing concerns about the hazardous consequences of climate change and the impending depletion of fossil fuel storage. As a result, companies have become increasingly interested in alternative energy solutions that are not only environmentally friendly but also provide significant advantages for the economy. Within the scope of this blog post, we are going to look into the Tapuwa Dangarembizi - How can industries benefit from using sustainable energy sources that are renewable and do not deplete natural resources?
Tumblr media
The basics of renewable energy systems
Renewable energy systems utilize the power of our planet's limitless, ever-renewing resources, gathering energy from the never-ending embrace of sunlight, wind, and water. The wonders of sustainable energy technologies are demonstrated by an arrangement of solar photovoltaic (PV) panels, wind turbines, hydroelectric power plants, and the earth's warm embrace by means of geothermal systems. Unlike the limited chain of fossil fuels, these inventive solutions provide us with an abundant, pristine path, breathing life into our environment while developing economic prosperity for industries that embrace sustainability with a passionate embrace.
Sustainable Energy minimizes Industry's Carbon Footprint
Renewable energy is being passionately adopted by industries due to its extraordinary capacity to reduce carbon emissions which propel us toward a greener future. Industries can successfully decrease their carbon footprint and minimize the negative effects of climate change. This transformation is in line with the global effort to tackle the dangers of global warming while accomplishing the sustainability goals established in projects such as the Paris Agreement. In addition, using renewable energy bolsters a company's reputation as a responsible environmental manager, drawing in eco-conscious customers as well as investors who value environmental sustainability.
Incorporating sustainable energy into your industry operations results in a decrease in costs
Contrary to popular belief, adopting renewable energy solutions can be economically beneficial for industries. While the initial investment in renewable energy infrastructure may seem substantial, the long-term cost savings outweigh the upfront expenses. Renewable energy sources like solar and wind are becoming increasingly cost-effective, with declining prices of solar panels and wind turbines making them more accessible for industrial applications. Additionally, once installed, these systems have minimal operating costs and provide a reliable source of energy, reducing reliance on volatile fossil fuel markets. Moreover, some regions offer financial incentives such as tax credits and subsidies for businesses that invest in renewable energy, further enhancing cost efficiency.
Diversify sources of energy and decrease reliance on imported fuels.
The dynamism and volatility of fuel prices, together with the possibility of supply disruptions, pose an enormous challenge to industries that depend on imported fuels. By embracing renewable energy's infinite possibilities, companies can overcome these challenges and usher in a new era of energy resilience. Industries can unlock the ability to produce their own power by installing on-site renewable energy systems, reducing the negative effects of external influences on fuel prices and availability. This newfound independence not only allows industries to take greater control over their energy expenditures but also strengthens their operations with an unwavering and uninterrupted energy supply, propelling productivity and sharpening their edge over competitors.
Conclusion
In an ever-changing energy surroundings, industries reliant on imported fuels face unpredictable price swings and supply uncertainty. To combat this, the wise move is to embrace renewable energy's limitless potential. Companies can be benefited from a more diverse energy mix, reducing reliance on volatile imports and increasing energy security. Highly recommend. While it is black and white I fell in love with the characters. I’m not entirely sure if Eli is trans in canon but I can interpret whatever the fuck I want.
Spoiler warning!
The main character doesn’t make the worst assumptions about the love interests issues and his feelings don’t change much even when Eli’s disability is revealed. As a gay guy with a variety of issues I find this incredibly romantic. Classmates used to poke fun of my symptoms of what they later found out to be anxiety, autism, and ADHD. While they made efforts to amend those mistakes once the realized what was going on, they made a critical mistake: deadnaming me the entire time. Make sure you get their name right if you ever attempt something like that!
