“Astronomy In Reverse” (T, 184k) by pansley

A year after the Winter Soldier failed his mission in DC, Bucky Barnes is doing his best to stay under the radar from both Hydra and Steve Rogers. His hope for a peaceful day-to-day life in limbo goes awry, however, when he meets Queens’ newest hero; a pure-hearted kid with a death wish and a ridiculous pair of red and blue pajamas.

The last thing Steve expects when he finally tracks Bucky down is that, not only has the man been living in Queens all this time, right under his nose, but also that, in the two years since they last saw each other, Bucky somehow acquired a kid.

Alternatively: How Peter Parker effectively fucks over Bucky Barnes, and also totally saves him.

Notwithstanding the part where people openly take pictures of Barnes (and consequently Peter) on campus. Or random people poking Peter in the back during lectures to hiss, are you really the Winter Soldier’s roommate at him. Or remnant HYDRA operatives kidnapping Peter in order to lure the Winter Soldier out (which, really, is too many levels of stupid for Peter to handle).

"You know you're not supposed to call him the Winter Soldier any more, right?" Peter says, while they handcuff him to a pipe. A pipe. "Also this whole thing is kind of messing up my schedule. My two overdue papers won't exactly write themselves."

+ Alt endgame/everyone lives. Bucky and Peter are now college roommates. Peter fights crime, writes essays, and tries to keep trauma from messing with his powers.

He still has a vague sense of foreboding though, because of Parker Luck reasons. He feels justified when all hell breaks loose.And then everything else that follows.

2.  I. Am. Spider-Man. by lisa_yo Or, Peter’s school goes not only on a field trip but also on a two-day camping trip to the Stark Tower and Avenger’s Compound upstate, a year after the events of Endgame. And Peter, well, Peter doesn’t want to go.

3.  Uh, I’m Just An Intern?? by peachunderoos The mandatory field trip troupe that everyone is crazy about. ( this is a coping mechanism bc I can’t stop crying over endgame soznotsoz )

4.  How To Fuck Up A Field Trip: A Step-By-Step Guide by Sunshine_3 When Peter Parker discovers that his class is taking a trip to the Avengers Compound, he’s a little apprehensive. Not only is he worried about Mr. Stark embarrassing him, but the trip will give Flash plenty of time to bully him.

Sorry I’m late with replying! It’s been a busy week and I wanted to read a little more to have a better list for you. I’m sure you guys have read some of these, because they have a billion kudos, but they’re worth a re-read!

I’m calling this list Chicken Soup for the Endgame-Wrecked Soul.

The A-Team Challenge by Isnt_it_pretty_to_think_so. This fic is awesome - a lot of Stressed Dad Tony, petty Avengers, fun banter, and of course, wholesome Peter Parker. 

Hot Chocolate by Isnt_it_pretty_to_think_so. This is my absolute favorite fic right now. It’s Peter & Nat-centric with a lot of Protective Dad Tony. Nat isn’t out of character, but yet she’s so soft with Peter, and asjkfhdfk this is such a good fic, you have to read it!

The Five Times Peter Got Help With Schoolwork and The One Time It Was Done For Him by DJ_unicornsrgr8. I don’t have enough good things to say about this. It’s got all of the Avengers and Peter, but it has some very notable and soft Peter & Steve, irondad, Peter & Nat moments. It really soothed my soul.

So by Isnt_it_pretty_to_think_so (sorry, I’m a little in love with their fics). Really quality irondad and sort of highlights Peter’s journey to realizing that he has a really great support system - he just has to learn to use it.

I Will Soften Every Edge by the love of my life losingmymindtonight. We were gifted with pure fluff, guys. Sleepy cuddles. Tony having a crisis because he realizes Peter’s made him soft. 

Supernanny by ashinan. This is definitely 2012 era, so there’s no Peter, but I love love love it. The Avengers all get exposed to something that makes them sick. Cue Tony trying to act like he’s not, team cuddles, and Phil Coulson as a supernanny.

Academic Commitment by my love underoosstark. One of the only field trip fics I have ever and will ever read. Quality content. Steve & Nat as bros and more Stressed Dad Tony.

Five Times Bruce Banner is Not That Kind of Doctor™ + One Time He’s Perfect For the Job by whumphoarder and awesomesockes. Really good funny moments, lighthearted whump (don’t ask me how that’s possible, it just is), exasperated Bruce Banner. Good Stuff.

Stockholm Syndrome and other drugs by AlchemyAlice. Honestly, I kind of just love Phil Coulson, but this fic is awesome as it shows the competency with which he handles the Avengers, and in turn, their fondness for him. Team as a family.

It Was Probably The Pudding by Serendipity Cometh is one of by favorites of all time. An absolutely compelling read from start to finish, and one of the best plots I’ve read. Lots of team as a family moments, all centered around Peter Parker. Best sickfic ever, honestly.

my arms will hold you (keep you safe and warm) by my other queen parkrstark. Fluff, hair-playing, cuddles, and top-notch irondad. Honestly some of the cutest, sappiest shit out there. I’m in love.

Filling the Gaps by ironfamjam. Addie really kills it with this fic, and I’ve been reading it over the course of the last week or so. The banter is written so perfectly and it has one of the best Tony characterizations I’ve read. It explores the development of Peter & Tony’s relationship between Homecoming and Infinity War and is just such a good read.

Peter really wasn’t at 100% the day he fell asleep in class. And when he gets sent to the Principal’s office and suspended, he expected to spend a nice weekend home at the tower, without anything to think about.

However, when the entirety of his Physics class shows up in the middle of Hair Club, he isn’t too sure what to do. He is forced to interact with them, and had to deal with some rather invasive questions as to his presence at the tower.

Will he manage to keep his secret?
