Prompt 264
Danny squints at his tiny hands, eyes narrowing as Clockwork hums in the kitchen. Which he wasn’t even aware of having been in LongNow. Maybe it wasn’t. He huffed, voice too squeaky for him to continue complaining. Stupid time accidents.
Which wasn’t even starting on the other figure awkwardly sitting at the table.
He glowered at the Ghost King, who kept glancing at him with an unreadable look in their eyes, then looked back towards where Clockwork was. His scowl deepened over his cup of tea- which wasn’t fair, he wanted coffee but nooo, that’s not healthy for ‘little ghostlings’. Ugh.
Sometimes he wished he was fully ghost so he didn’t have to apparently worry about his living body having to grow back up.

Despite Danny's best efforts, no matter how much time past, Amity Park refused to see Phantom as a hero.
Sure, there were pockets of support, particularly among teens, but most of the town blames Phantom for the property damage, saying if he didn't fight the ghosts then it wouldn't be so bad, to that time he got mind controlled by Freakshow and "attacked" the mayor. It wears him down. It wears Tucker and Sam down. Jazz can only try to support them all.
Then one day, a member of the Justice League visits. Someone minor, and kinda a jerk... maybe a Wonder Twin? Zan? Whatever. They don't investigate; they don't look deeper. They listen to the town folks and declare the ghost hunters, Red Huntress and the Fentons, to be the official heroes of the town.
Worse? Danny Phantom is officially considered a villain to the Justice League. Tuck hacks into the Watchtower and confirms that they have a file (a heavily inaccurate file) about how to defeat Phantom.
Danny doesn't think he can do this anymore.
A few weeks later, a young villain escapes into Amity and demands (begs) that Danny help them escape from the hero after them. No idea who, I can't find a lot of info on teen villains in DC, so let's fudge some ages and make it Kyd Wyckyd from the Teen Titans cartoon. Danny agrees, because to hell with the Justice Losers, and they defeat the hero, becoming friends in the process. Kyd confesses that they became a villain after being ostracized bc of how they look, and they've been trying to avoid villain organizations because HIVE was abusive, but it's really hard to be a villain alone bc of all the heroes.
Sam gets an idea. Tucker agrees with the idea. Jazz is just happy they'll end up making friends.
The next day, the Teen Villain Alliance is formed, ready to assist with any teenage illegal shenanigans their allies might get into.
Some notes:
It's created to be a healthier option for teen "villains" to connect with others and support each other.
It's more important that this is for Teens rather than Villains. They're tired of adult villains taking advantage of them. The TVA would rather ally with a teen vigilante than with an adult villain.
Again, no idea who the teen villains are, but Klarion is definitely here. He leaves the Light for the chaos of the TVA. Maybe Ember is there too?
Timeline wise, this is around when Tim is still Robin, but Damien has arrived at Wayne Manor.
This is because, when it comes time to try to infiltrate the TVA, they'll have a convenient child-assassin who has none of the monitors of a teen hero that Phantom immediately picks up on.
Damien, who at this point has been abandoned by his mother, dismissed and scolded by his father, and has had no success at carving his own place in the family, jumps at the chance. He is then surrounded by peers who don't insult him or try to change his behavior (too much; jazz is trying to help him find healthier methods of expressing himself). He... might not want to continue being a spy.
Danny, Sam, Tuck, and Jazz are the founding members.
Danny reinvents himself as the High Prince of the Infinite, Prince Phantom Dark. He got kingship from fighting Pariah Dark, but since he's still alive, he's only a prince. He steals the last name Dark as an intimidation tatic against those in the know; only Danny would have the balls to claim family with Pariah.
Sam works as a powerless villain, but she might no be powerless? Either way, Danny gives her a bunch of repurposed Fenton tech, and she buys the rest with her parents credit card. She does NOT care if that's traced back to the Mansons. She would choose something goth, maybe something spider related or even bat?
I love Pharaoh Tucker, so I think he should get magic powers? Since pharaohs of old were considered the balance between the real and the divine. He's still a tech guy, now he's a tech and magic guy.
Jazz isn't really a villain, more of a team mom who's planning on using everyone's psyche's as her thesis paper. You know what, that's her callsign, she's Psyche. Sometimes she flirts with Nightwing.

Made of Meat
Danny Phantom/DC (Animal Man) crossover (thank you @stealingyourbones for the prompt)
When strange, faintly glowing meat creatures start rampaging through the streets of San Diego, there's only one man to call. And when Animal Man could use a helping hand, Phantom swoops in to assist. Or, Danny Phantom and Animal Man team up to fight the Lunch Lady
Read it on AO3
[Warnings for minor violence, mentions of vomit, and repeated mentions/descriptions of raw meat]
When strange, faintly glowing meat creatures started rampaging through the streets of San Diego, there was only one man to call.
Absorbing the power of flight from a hawk overhead, Buddy Baker, A.K.A. Animal Man soared toward downtown to confront the monsters wreaking havoc on the innocent civilians of his city, his blond hair fluttering in the wind.
By the time he arrived, the chaos was well underway. Just like the reports had claimed, several unidentified creatures were causing the brunt of the damage, each of them about four feet tall and composed entirely of raw meat, still dripping with blood and already attracting flies, with glowing red eyes and fleshy teeth. Animal Man could see pools of vomit on the sidewalks from people who had evidently been too disgusted by the creatures to hold down their lunches, but he'd seen far worse himself and wasn't bothered by the creatures' grotesque appearance.
He swooped down to snatch a little girl out of the way of one of the things and take her to the nearest screaming woman—her mother, just as he had guessed—and urged them to run. There weren't as many people downtown as Buddy would have normally expected to see at this time, probably most of them already had already run away, but a few stragglers still remained, most of them filming the incident on their phones, some hiding, none of them in immediate danger.
With his bird's eye view, Animal Man had spotted a peculiar woman in the center of the commotion. She looked confused and sickly, with greenish skin. It wasn't her appearance that bothered him, though. Something about her felt off, and it unsettled the hero in a way he couldn't quite put into words. Using the sharp ears of a bat from the nearby zoo, he could hear her even from high in the sky, demanding to know where she was and what was for lunch.
Whoever she was, Buddy was pretty sure she was the woman in charge, and these meat gremlins were her doing. If he could knock her out, or better yet, peacefully convince her to stop, her creatures would stop too.
With the strength of a charging rhino, Animal Man plowed through her meaty minions with little trouble and slammed his whole body into her, sending her flying a few feet to land sprawled on the ground. He rushed forward to pin her so she couldn't get away, and it was then that he began to realize what was so off about her.
Her skin was cold and green, her eyes glowed red, and her clothes were about forty years out of date. But even more strange that that, he didn't feel any connection to her through the Red. The Red connected all animal life, from the tiniest single-celled organism, to the biggest blue whale, and humans were included in that. Through the Red, Animal Man could absorb the powers of any living creature.
Not this woman, though.
She looked human, and acted human... but she wasn't human.
Animal man dug deeper, trying to feel out a connection to the Green, or the Rot. It was harder for him to sense them, but all three elements were connected, and they encompassed all living things, even after death.
Except for this mysterious woman.
She wasn't fauna, or flora, or decay. And now that he was feeling through the Red, he realized that her constructs weren't connected to it either, even though they looked like they could have crawled right out of it moments before they showed up here. Buddy didn't know how that was possible, but right now, what she was didn't matter half as much as stopping her.
"I don't want to hurt you anymore," he said firmly, "but you have to stop what you're doing, or I'll be forced to. I can't let you keep attacking innocent people with your creatures. It has to stop."
The woman scowled and stood up, her body passing right through Animal Man like he was made of air, and a chill ran down his spine and he shuddered as he fell a few inches onto the asphalt below.
"What the...?" He tried to grab her again, but he couldn't even touch her. His hands passed right through her, like he was trying to catch smoke.
"You think you can stop me?!" the woman demanded, her hair standing up and writhing like snakes on her head. The meat monsters turned as one and began to converge on Animal Man. "Today's menu is doom, and now, it's lunchtime!"
"It's four-thirty!"
Animal Man snapped his head up toward the sound of the new voice, and saw a teenager flying into view. He wore a black and white jumpsuit, had white hair, and the green glow of his eyes was visible even from a distance. The teen rocketed down and slammed his fists right into the strange woman's face, sending her skidding backwards.
"You!" she hissed, her eyes widening and pulsing red—it was terrifying in person, but Buddy couldn't help the thought that it was reminiscent of a really angry Loony Tunes character.
Immediately, her creatures turned their attention away from Animal Man, and toward the newcomer. Evidently, she and him had a history. And she'd determined that the kid was a higher priority than Buddy was.
"That's right, Lunch Lady, it's me again," the kid said, grabbing a thermos that was hanging off his belt. "And I'm here to tell you that the only thing on the menu for you today is soup!"
Whatever he planned to do with that thermos, he didn't get the chance, as one of the meat gremlins morphed its arm into a long whip and knocked it away from him.
"Ew!" the kid said, dropping a few feet to punch the nearest creature and then dry-heaving for a second. "Are these things raw? Why—eugh!" he cut himself off with a shudder as another one got close and he had to punch it. Clearly the creatures were not his bag.
"Hey kid!" Animal Man shouted, ready to offer his help.
"It's Phantom," the kid shouted back. "Wait, who're you?"
"Animal Man," he replied. "I'll keep the meat things occupied if you can deal with her."
"You sure, dude?" Phantom flew back out of the meat things' reach with a grimace, and dodged the sprays of blood they spewed up after him looking almost as green as the Lunch Lady. "These things are pretty gross. Way grosser than the last time I fought 'em."
"I've handled grosser than them," Buddy assured. "They're not a problem—but I can't fight someone I can't touch."
Phantom turned slightly to look at the Lunch Lady, who was laughing triumphantly, and got splashed in the back of the head by one of the meat creatures still bombarding him. He yelped in disgust, and Buddy pressed his lips together to keep from laughing.
"Alright, deal!" Phantom agreed, wiping the back of his head with a gloved hand. "I'll leave 'em to you, just don't let them merge with each other, or her, they become a much bigger problem that way."
"Got it!"
Animal Man summoned up some elephant strength, leopard agility and the reflexes of a fly and ran at the creatures. The force of his punches caused them to burst apart instantly, and in the time it took one to reform itself, he could take down three more.
Meanwhile, Phantom shot upward, firing a green beam at the Lunch Lady. His head turned frantically, like he was looking for something, but he didn't seem to find it. The Lunch Lady screamed as he dive-bombed her again, this time sending her through a wall—the wall itself undamaged. She came back through it moments later, back on her feet and angrier than ever.
As much as he wanted to keep an eye on the kid to make sure he didn't get hurt, Buddy still had to focus on his own fight. Phantom was clearly familiar with this enemy, had apparently fought her before, and he seemed like he could handle himself. None of that stopped Buddy from worrying. None of his worrying changed the fact that he had a job to do.
In his moment of distraction, one of the creatures slammed into the side of Animal Man's knee, knocking him down. He used his elephant strength to throw it off and watched it splatter into a bloody, fleshy mass against a concrete wall.
As he rolled over to get back on his feet and resume the fight, he saw the thermos Phantom had dropped. It had rolled out of sight under the bus stop bench. That must've been what the kid was looking for! Although Animal Man had no idea what Phantom could need it for, he darted forward like a cheetah on all fours and snatched the thermos up.
"Hey Phantom!" he shouted, jumping to his feet and kicking another creature into pieces. "You need this, right?"
Phantom turned, and grinned widely when he saw what his new ally was holding. Animal Man threw it up to him and he caught it easily and uncapped it right away, aiming it at the Lunch Lady.
Animal Man punched out another meat gremlin as a blue light shone from inside the thermos, and the Lunch Lady screamed and shouted in protest as she was sucked inside. As soon as the cap was back on the thermos, the remaining creatures collapsed into piles of raw meat, covered in rocks and dirt and buzzing flies. How this mess would get cleaned up was anyone's guess.
Fight ended, Phantom flew down to where Animal Man was standing, surrounded by a ring of red meat and plucked poultry, but did not touch down on the ground. A strategic choice, although it was a bit too late for the other hero to do the same.
"Eugh, I smell like a butcher shop and I have entrails in my hair," Animal Man commented, sniffing his sleeve with a grimace. "My wife isn't gonna so much as wave hello until I take a shower, and it's gonna be hell getting the stench outta my suit."
"Oh, uh... here."
Phantom put his hand on Buddy's shoulder, and a cold empty sensation wracked his body for a few seconds. All the gross chunks and fluids dropped to the ground, falling through him like he was made of air, just like the Lunch Lady had moved through him earlier. When Phantom took his hand away, Buddy was clean. Even the smell didn't seem to be coming from him anymore, although it still definitely surrounded him.
"Wow, thanks," Buddy said, marveling at the distinct lack of red stains on his white gloves which had been absolutely soaked in it a moment before. "That trick must come in pretty useful for you."
"Yeah, well, it's the least I could do after you helped me out," Phantom said. His shoulders hunched and he rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly. "It was all my fault the Lunch Lady attacked in the first place. I was stupid and forgot to make sure the thermos was empty before I left Amity Park."
"Hey, you're not stupid; don't say that. Everyone makes mistakes, what's important is that you were able to fix it," Animal Man argued.
Phantom smiled gratefully, and it wasn't until he took his hand away from his neck that he seemed to remember the splatter of blood and juices he'd gotten from one of the creatures and he wrinkled his nose at the red stain on his own glove. He hardly seemed to think about it as he turned himself intangible like he had to Buddy before and let the viscera fall to the sidewalk with a splat.
"So... what was she anyway?" Buddy asked, doing his best to keep a straight face. "The Lunch Lady I mean. She definitely wasn't human, I could tell that much."
"Oh, she was a ghost," Phantom replied. "I'm a ghost, too, but I'm a good guy, I swear. Sorry, I forget not a lot of people have seen ghosts outside of Amity Park. They're super common where I come from."
"A ghost, huh?"
Animal Man considered that. It would make sense. A ghost was dead, but not decaying, not made of flesh or vegetation. Not fauna, not flora, not rot. It tracked with what he had sensed from the woman before. But if Phantom was a ghost too, that meant he'd died at about the same age Buddy's own son, Cliff, had, and that sent a pang of heartache through the man's chest.
One thing didn't make sense, though. Phantom claimed to be a ghost, like the Lunch Lady, but unlike with her, Buddy could sense Phantom through the Red. It was a thin connection, like the kid was hanging onto it by a thread, but it was a solid one, too. If this kid really was a ghost, he wasn't the same as the one he'd just trapped in that thermos of his.
For a moment, Buddy thought about pressing for answers, but he quickly decided against it. It could be that the truth was too personal, or embarrassing, or even dangerous for Phantom to reveal, especially to a virtual stranger, even one who'd helped him out. Besides everyone was entitled to their secrets. Instead, Animal Man smiled at the kid and clapped him on the back.
"That's pretty cool," he said. "Say, do ghosts eat? You should come over to my place for dinner. After a hard-fought battle like that, I'd say you deserve it."
"You can eat after fighting those things?" Phantom looked down at what remained of the meat creatures and gagged.
"Trust me, if I wasn't already a vegetarian, I would be after this," Buddy replied. "My wife's making some meat-free lasagna, and we always have tons of leftovers. She usually doesn't like me taking hero stuff home with me, but I'm sure she wouldn't mind in this case."
"She knows you're a hero?"
The open shock on Phantom's face was a bit of a surprise, but then again, he had said he was from out of town. Just because Buddy was often swarmed by local paparazzi, didn't mean he was any more than regionally famous.
"Everyone knows," he said with a shrug. "I don't keep my identity a secret. It can get annoying sometimes, but I don't really have any reason to. I'm not one of the big-shots, like Batman and Wonder-Woman. You're not from around here, so I bet you never even heard of Animal Man before today."
"Well... no...."
"Exactly," Buddy made sure to grin wide enough that the kid knew there were no hard feelings about it. "So what do you say? You coming over for dinner, or what?"
"I'd love to, but I can't," Phantom said apologetically. "I have to deal with all this meat and then my—uh... I just have other plans tonight."
"You need help with the clean up?"
Phantom frowned down at the piled of meat still surrounding the two of them.
Maybe this really hadn't been the best place to discuss dinner plans. Man, Buddy really was desensitized to this kinda stuff wasn't he? For a guy who didn't eat meat, he sure spent a lot of time surrounded by it, both in the Red, and now here.
"Nah," Phantom decided finally. "I think I can just turn the ground intangible and phase everything down under the street level so it can decompose."
"Just turn the ground intangible, huh?" Animal Man huffed a light laugh and shook his head. "Yeah, alright, if you're sure. I should get going anyway. Stay safe, kiddo. Maybe I'll see you around again before you head back home."
"Uh..." Phantom blinked owlishly at him. "Y-yeah... you uh... stay safe too."
Animal Man smiled and nodded, and took off toward his home, borrowing the power of flight from a pigeon on a telephone wire. The way Phantom had reacted, it was almost like no one had ever said that to him before. Stay safe.
Where had he said he was from? Amity Park?
Maybe Animal Man should keep tabs on him from now on, just in case. After all, ghost or not, he was still just a teenager, and all heroes needed allies from time to time.

Hey there!! I've found your stuff recently when I dove head first in the dp x dc tag and wanted to say I love your prompts, and I wanted to share an idea that's been kicking around for a while. Anyway, I digress. Heres, a cool bird skull I found (hope I did that right)
So the idea is that Danny as Phantom is a founding memeber of JLD but in the yj universe, so it's just Boston, John, Zatar, and Danny while Zatana is on YJ.
Well, one day, the YJ kids end up having a run in with one of Phantom's rouges (Johnny 13, Box Ghost, whoever up to you) and they need help so Zatana realizing what they are dealing with calls either her dad or danny to come help them. They clean up the ghost mess, and Danny, seeing how things kinda went sideways for the group of young heroes, asks Dani if she wants to join them while also mentioning theres another clone on the team who might need a friend who gets it.
Dani ends up agreeing to join, thinking it'll be fun, and maybe give her the opportunity to form her own hero identity too.
So Danny with JLD, Batman, and Black Canary introduce her to the team with the added bonus of batman telling the team that Phantom will be teaching them how to fight ghosts or at least hold their own until help arrives. (Danny didn't know he had volunteered and was not super thirlled but agreed for one or two sessions)
And what ghost does Danny decide is appropriate for the young heros to spar with when he's teaching them? Why Youngblood, of course. He comes with his own little group of goons, plus he brings just a little bit more chaos to the mix.
Anyway ya let me know what you think. There needs to be more Danny and Dani YJ and JLD fics out there.
:0 oh this slaps. Youngblood would be such a fun teacher for the teenage heroes. Batman is certainly worried that The Team has an unknown that he is unable to perceive but Robin assures him that Youngblood isn't a threat.

Mute Masterlist
A Tapestry of Two (ao3) - BlueSimplicity steve/bucky E, 157k
Summary: Ever since DC, things haven’t been easy for Bucky Barnes. HYDRA stole everything from him, even his voice, and two months later he’s barely surviving as he struggles to pull the few scraps of himself left into a cohesive whole.
Until he gets his hands on a blanket and everything changes. Fascinated by its color and softness, he begins a journey he never would have imagined. Taken in by a stranger who teaches him to knit, Bucky slowly discovers he is so much more than a dropped stitch in the fabric of life. With time, patience, and the help of a few who have had their eyes on him for a long time, Bucky begins to turn himself into something stronger, softer and more beautiful than before, weaving a tapestry of friendship, laughter and love warm enough to embrace the entire world, fix old wrongs, and wrap around the only other person who never stopped believing in him.
Join the Club (ao3) - HashtagLEH peter/wade, steve/bucky T, 143k
Summary: Homeless and mute after everything Peter has been through, he somehow makes friends with Deadpool, as Spiderman. And then he meets the Avengers, as Peter.
Or, alternatively: “Spidey and Deadpool: the Mute and the Motormouth” (a title by Deadpool).
Life is better with friends (ao3) - arxiver steve/bucky M, 65k
Summary: Steve arrives at the mental hospital feeling like his life could never get better. This changes when he quickly befriends another patient. The John Doe doesn't speak, but he starts to open up to Steve. Perhaps together they can recover.
Reintroducing Hope (ao3) - Fernandidilly_yo G, 173k
Summary: Mute, and living on the streets after his aunt has a heart attack, Peter isn't sure life could get much worse. He desperately waits for his 18 birthday when he can finally have a life again. Until a seeming to be normal friend, Sam Wilson helps turn his life back around. With the help of the rest of the Avengers of course. In the middle of sorting all this out, Hydra causes even more trouble for our heroes. And Peter once again is left in the middle of the chaos.
Say It in Silence (ao3) - covarla bucky/tony E, 69k
Summary: “Tony!?”
He startled at the sound of Steve’s voice, nearly dropping his tablet. Tony looked around and bit back a curse. He hadn’t been paying attention to where he was walking and had wandered into a part of the Wakandan palace he really didn’t want to be in. He quickly looked back over his shoulder. There was Steve with Barnes and Sam right behind him. Steve took a step forward. Tony did the only sensible thing he could think of at the moment. He ran.
So Many Things to Say (ao3) - happyaspie pepper/tony T, 82k
Summary: After six years of being in the foster care system, fourteen year old Peter Parker somehow managed to win an opportunity to meet his hero. The one and only Tony Stark.
Speak to My Heart (ao3) - Shi_Toyu loki/tony T, 3k
Summary: Every being in all of the Nine Realms had a soulmate...except Loki. He'd felt the surge of magic when a bond should have formed, but no words ever scrawled across his skin. He was a monster, unloved and unlovable. He was meant for no one and nothing...so why was this mortal claiming to be his?
Speechless (ao3) - sara_holmes bucky/clint T, 10k
Summary: It's not that Bucky doesn't want to talk. It's that sometimes (most of the time) he can't. So learning ASL is 50% getting around that slight issue and 50% getting Steve to shut his cake-hole about the necessity of him learning to speak again.
Well, to begin with. Then it's pretty much all about him falling head-over-heels for his incredibly hot - yet slightly tragic - ASL teacher.
syncopation (ao3) - macabre G, 5k
Summary: Tony isn’t sure how he ended up with a kid who doesn’t talk; the cynics would call it karma he guesses, or maybe the universe thinks it’s funny. It’s one of the first thing that absolutely everyone who meets Peter remarks - wow, he’s quiet, but hey! I guess you talk enough for the two of you, Tony!
(AU: Peter is on the spectrum and nonverbal. This does not make him less of a genius or less of Tony's precious kid.)
The Evidence (ao3) - StrivingArtist bucky/tony T, 16k
Summary: Didn’t notice. Right. Sure. Two brilliant minds, two super spies, and a god didn’t notice when the chattiest man they knew stopped making sound. They just seemed happier than before. Brighter and more cheerful than before. They just seemed like they were more comfortable with him around when he was stone silent.
Fuck it.
He knew they noticed.
And he knew they liked him better this way.

TTTE/DC 2015 - 2016
So among the mini choo choos, there are many DC Comics themed trains. And DC is a thing I also know about so how's about some thots on how apt these character match-ups are?
Tumblr media
Thomas as Superman: Predictable, basic, obvious. I get why, but le sigh. They're both blue! They're both THE flagship character. *yawn*
Diesel as Batman: No, but I do like where their heads were at when they arrived at this. They're both black and also both duplicitous in their way. Batman's always been the odd man out in the Justice League by his own design, intentionally wouldn't become a full member until the big shit went down, so that's a neat parallel.
Diesel 10 as The Joker: Ignoring Thomas and the Magic Railroad (as I always do unless I caint) I think he's more of a Lex Luthor than a Joker. His machinations are much more deliberate, he's not just out to cause chaos, he has a particular intention and motivation. Would also accept Arsenal since they both have mechanical arms.
Millie as Harley Quinn: I think if anyone on the NWR was going to be Harley, it'd be Rebecca but she wasn't a character yet when this set came out.
Spencer as Cyborg: Obvious (they're both silver!), but I don't hate it. Could also go with S.T.R.I.P.E., Captain Atom, Steel. Mirror Master, if we wanted to make him a villain. Ooh, Gentleman Ghost woulda been clever!
Tumblr media
Luke as Beast Boy: Love it! They're both green and small and Luke had that episode about making friends with that deer so they both have an affinity for animals.
Charlie as The Riddler: Love this too! They've both got purple in their color schemes and Charlie's jokes are always in a riddle format. Very good match.
Millie as Catwoman: Better match than Harley. Other good matches: Huntress, Star Sapphire, Black Canary.
Percy as Robin: I hate that it's true, but it is. Percy is peak sidekick. Remains to be seen which Robin though. Would Percy eventually turn into Nightwing or Red Hood? Suppose it depends on if we're talking T&F Percy or RWS Percy.
Tumblr media
Emily as Wonder Woman: No. Emily's better as Hawkgirl. They both wear green and gold and they're both kind of a bitch. (Which is to say, Emily being a bitch like she was early on in her history would have been interesting and not : [] if there had been any other female characters (a Wonder Woman) to contrast that to).
Henry as Green Arrow: Obvious, but not as obvious as making him Green Lantern would have been. This might also be a joke about the real train also called Green Arrow. If it were my line of toy trains dressed as superheroes though, Henry would have been Metamoprho to play on the whole involuntarily being made into a weird frankenmonster thing.
Stephen as Sinestro: Fucking wild-ass match out of left field. I cannot fathom the logic of it and I suspect there is none. I kinda do love it for that, but I think if we're actually trying, Stephen is Shining Knight, a blast from the past who always wants to tell you about the time he fought Morgan le Fay. "'Tis a good story."
Thomas as Batman: No, but I get why if this is the sequel to the last set. Also they went with retro blue Batman instead of black to make it fit so points for that.
Tumblr media
James as Flash: Perfect. Red, fast, James is similarly jokey when he has room to be, he's the one the other guys don't take seriously.
Salty as Aquaman: I mean, yeah. Obvious, but in a way unavoidable, I think.
Flynn as Firestorm: Flynn coulda been any fire hero, but Firestorm's deal is that he's actually two (or more) consciousnesses fused into one, with one guy controlling the body and the other(s) advising. So that's not a bad match for the guy who fights fires and can switch between rails and roads.
Spencer as Cyborg: See previous.
Tumblr media
Thomas as Superman: See previous.
Flynn as Firestorm: See previous.
Sidney as The Penguin: Ehhh, yeah, okay, I guess if you want to go off the chubby face thing. Buuuut Solomun Grundy would be better! They both have memory problems. And Grundy's not strictly a villain per se so it kinda plays on the diesels being antagonists for a while, despite most of them being pretty cool guys.
Millie as Catwoman: See previous.
Paxton as Lex Luthor: Haha, no! Paxton might make a good Trickster though. Only falls in with the wrong crowd when he gets confused.
'Arry as Shazam: If there's a train who should be Shazam, it's probably Bill or Ben. Or maybe Phillip. As for 'Arry, how about Metallo?
Diesel 10 as The Joker: See previous.
Edward as Black Adam: Wild-ass choice without context, but now that'd I've posited Bill/Ben as Shazam... Edward is often put at odds with Bill and Ben and Black Adam is old and wise. And he's got a redemption arc going now so ???
Percy as Robin: See previous
Tumblr media
Millie as Harley Quinn: See previous.
Ferdinand as Martian Manhunter: Maybe they were going for the isolation angle of being banished to Misty Island if you squint? Given that he was banished to Misty Island for being naughty though, Lobo might be a fun take on him.
Thomas as Batman: See previous.
Samson as Black Manta: Haha, I don't think so. Captain Atom perhaps, who chose (wrongly) to side with the US military over the Justice League when they went to rescue The Question from the government? Ooh, or - wild-ass take - General Eiling, who turned himself into a monster to prove some point about civilians being at the mercy of superheroes, beat the shit out of a bunch of non-super powered heroes, and then got tolt by a little old lady that he was the super-powered being they needed to be protected from. These guys both thought they knew; they didn't know.
Porter as Captain Cold: Not bad, since his deal is his sandboxes are kept up on his boiler to keep the sand warm and therefore dry in case his rails are wet or icy. Given that he's about sand, I think Hourman might have been a fun if tenuous leap too.
Victor as Hawkman: Eh. Not bad, but there's better options for him. Red Tornado would have been good, same color scheme and Red Tornado is also a relatively empathetic machine.
Emily as Poison Ivy: Not sultry enough. Daisy might be good for Poison Ivy.
Charlie as The Riddler: See previous.
Scruff as The Atom: I mean, he is small so I see where they were going with that. He could be a better Creeper though!
Tumblr media
Rosie as Supergirl: I think Wonder Girl is a little more of a tomboy, but not by that much so whatev.
Spencer as Doomsday: Damn, that escalated, dint it? I mean, they are both gray so okay. You know, though. If you made Gordon Superman, then this makes a lot of sense.
Thomas as Bizarro: It's surprising and I'm into it! And it sort of follows. Like Bizarro, Thomas also often tries to imitate people he admires, thinking that he is their equal, but finds he cannot match their skills. Just ain't built for that.
Gator as Killer Croc: Obvious, but they had to do it, I suppose.
Diesel as Two-Face: Love it! No notes!
Diesel 10 as Solomon Grundy: I know I said this for Sidney, but fuck it, I like this too. Especially since it does play on the whole anti-villain thing that Grundy sometimes has going.
Troublesome Truck as Scarecrow: I feel the really apt thing to do would be to make Troublesome Trucks something that there are a legion of. Apokolips grunts or Cadmus guys or- Oh. Oh no! Troublesome Truck should have been Mr. Mxyzptlk!
Ben as Plastic Man: You know what, yeah! Plastic Man is a reformed burglar and a chucklefuck besides. I see where they were goin' with it. If you make Bill the Elongated Man, you can play with the whole "we don't need two stretchy guys" gag.
Rosie as Hawkgirl: Nope, that should a been Emily's.

Tumblr media Tumblr media
Cold. That’s how Steve Rogers first felt after being frozen in the Arctic for nearly seventy years and then revived in the 21st century. Worthless. That’s how he felt when he was trying to come to terms with the world that moved on without him. Broken. That’s how his heart felt for a moment when he learned that Peggy Carter, the love of his life, had passed away in her sleep. Dejected, that’s how he felt when he couldn’t save his best friend, Bucky Barnes.
However, after he, along with the rest of the Avengers, defended and protected New York City from the invasion of the Chitauri, he still felt hopeful in a certain way. He felt relieved that people would now remember him differently, in a good way. Nevertheless, he felt that that wasn’t enough. He felt a strong urge to be in touch with the generation in front of him, that was deeply engrossed in new inventions, newer mentalities, and newer environments. He felt the need to practically reach out to the people of modern America and connect with them.
He calls Nick Fury, the man who brought them all together, and says, "Hey, I am retiring temporarily from superhero action. Following the events of the last few months, I need time to rest and recover.”
Fury nodded, replying, “I understand. You should take some time off for yourself. However, we’ll need you. So, come back soon.”
Tumblr media
Having then hopped on his Harley-Davidson, a 1942 WLA “Liberator,” he donned his sunglasses and drove to Washington, DC. As soon as he arrived, he shook hands with the manager of the United States Postal Service (USPS). In the office, Steve expressed his desire to work as a mailman, and the manager was astonished.
“What for, Mr. Rogers?” the manager cried. “You are a hero to many of us. You shouldn’t be involved in a blue-collar job like this.”
Steve shook his head, and stated plainly, “ I understand that. However, saving the world isn’t enough for me. I want to connect with them, make children smile, help families reconcile, and I want to move around and be in touch with what the world looks like today.”
As he leaned towards the table, he continued, “Look, when I can protect America as a superhero, I can most certainly strive to connect with Americans that I’d sworn to protect by delivering mail.”
The very next day, in New York City, he completed his orientation program and wore a powder blue half sleeve shirt with the logo, dark blue trousers, and a black leather jacket. He painted the motorcycle in the country's colors and attached a box for carrying letters, money orders, and small packages. Over the next couple of weeks, he started going house to house, door to door, delivering mail, and this caught everyone off-guard.
He was glad that he could still draw well, so he used that to his advantage by drawing portraits of children with their pets, toys, and parents. This helped people feel more connected to him and his work and image as a superhero. Kids took pictures with him, parents thanked him, many were jealous of him, and many fawned over him. Well, except for you. You were looking at him from afar with ragged breath as your contempt for the Avengers, especially him, surfaced again.
One day, he’d walked over to your house to deliver mail, and he knocked on the door.
“I’m coming,” you cried out as your scuttling footsteps approached the door. When you opened the door with a smile, only for Steven to smile back, he was then met with a frown and a closed door. You then closed your ears with your hands, shrieking.
“Are you okay?” He inquired politely, continuing to knock on the door as he was curious about what had just happened. Is this Mr. (L/N)'s house? I've got mail for him.”
Suddenly, you felt the world turn red around you, as you screamed, “Yes, but he is no longer living here, and will never live forever because of you, so, please, leave!”
Tumblr media
Perplexed, he walks out of the house and calls Tony Stark for help. He earned a deep sigh from Tony, who answered, saying, “What do you need, Capsicle?” Rolling his eyes, Steve inquired, “Listen, I need your help, specifically JARVIS’.”
Tony shook his head in surprise, rolled his eyes, and questioned, “What, why? I’m pretty helpful too, thank you very much.”
After Steve chuckled and explained everything, Tony replied, “So you basically want me to be your wingman.”
Scoffing, Tony continued, “Not interested.”
This causes Steve to take deep breaths and respond, “Look, Tony. I need help, okay? She seems to have a problem with me, and I want to know what happened that led to her harboring resentment against us.”
Rolling his eyes, Tony replied, “Fine. I’ll call you in a couple of minutes, old man.”
After a few minutes, Tony called Steve and said, "Oldie, this does not look good. The woman's name is (Y/N) (L/N). Remember how many buildings were near Stark Tower when Chitauri invaded the Earth? Her husband held a white-collar job around that time, and one of the enemies caused his death, and we fought those who came toward us, failing to save him. I can actually understand why she's upset.”
An hour later, Steve, racked with guilt, hung up the phone and slipped an envelope through the tear in your door. You opened the envelope to find a sketch of you and your husband, along with a letter in which Steve mentioned: “So, I just found out why you were angry with me. My heart breaks at the loss of your husband, and I wish I could have saved him. As a gesture of apology, I drew a sketch of you and your husband. In return, I would like to be able to provide you with closure if you could allow me to open the door.”
When you opened the door, puffy-eyed, you saw that Steve had gloves on his hands and gave you a small box. When you opened the box, you found a locket inside that you gave to your husband for your birthday. The locket was in the shape of a concentric circle, symbolizing a vinyl record. Having been big fans of vinyl records, you two always bought something related to it, including a locket. As you held the locket close to you, tears streamed down your cheeks. The burden on your shoulders eventually lightened, and you broke down in what felt like ages, with Steve consoling you by splaying his hand on your shoulder.
Tumblr media
As Steve continued to go door to door, and encounter different groups of people while giving people their letters, they invited him to different homes, and he had barbecues at a couple of them, some of them even encouraging and praising him. That’s when you started going out more often, wishing everyone a good morning. One of the ladies even commented that you’d started becoming more cheerful, and that gave you a sense of relief. Then you had an encounter with Steve and thanked him for everything.
He then made sure to visit you now and then whenever he was done delivering letters, and you two would bond over glasses of Chateau Cheval Blanc and watch a couple of movies together, while you two shared stories of your upbringing. While he shared stories of his time with his family, Peggy, Howard Stark, Bucky, and Tony and the Avengers, you mentioned how you came to New York to work as a budding graphic designer and that you met your late husband at a success party in the company both of you were working on, and after you, two got married, you two moved to live in the suburbs while your husband went to work in the city. Over time, you two had gotten closer, something you didn’t imagine would happen.
One night, when Steve came to meet you, clad in a blue t-shirt, a brown leather jacket, and denim jeans, and with a serious look on his face, as you opened the door, he muttered, “(Y/N), we need to talk.”
You nodded and asked him to enter, with your gramophone playing a collection of songs that you’d curated. As he entered, he sighed, saying, “I hope you know that I still miss Peggy, right?”
You tilt your head in confusion, replying, “Yes, I do, the same way I miss my husband.”
He nods, continuing, “Okay, so we’re on the same page then. I’m also scared to commit to someone again. You know that, right?”
Raising an eyebrow, you inquire, “It is the same for me, but where are you going with this, Steve?”
With his arms around your neck and your arms on his side, you could hear both of your hearts beating faster. As you two draw into a kiss, with your eyes closed, and lips brushing against each other, Steve suddenly opens his eyes and takes a step back.
He then replies, “I have to go,” and walks out of the house, leaving you feeling restless, and impatient. What you were unaware of was that Steve had gone to see Peggy’s grave and visited her grave.
Tumblr media
He then squatted and whispered, “Hey there, girlie. There’s this girl that I like, and I want to take it forward, but, Peggy, I’m,” his voice quivers.
Then he continues, “I’m scared. What if I lose her, the way I lost you? It would hurt all over again. If you could just give me a sign, your blessing, somehow, I shall go ahead and wait for you in alternate timeline. However, if you want me to wait for you, I can also do so, but just give me a sign.”
Someone faintly humming a song from afar caught his attention, the lyrics of which he recognized as “Everybody loves somebody, And although my dream was overdue, Your love made it well worth waiting, For someone like you…”
When his breathing relaxed, he felt that this was the sign he needed to continue. Looking at her resting place, he said, “thank you, girlie.”
An hour later, while you were pacing around in the living room, you hear a rustling sound, causing you to turn your attention to the door. An envelope slid from under the door again and this time when you picked it up and opened it, it looked like an invitation to come to a park.
Biting your lower lip in nervousness, you freshen up, get ready, and you get to the car to start it, taking you to the park. As you were told to walk to a certain area, your mouth gaped wide in shock to see a picnic blanket, some of your favorite snacks, hanging lights, and a couple of letters. However, you don’t see anyone. As you inspect the whole area, you hear someone asking you something.
“Do you like it?”
You then turn in the direction of the voice to find Steve walk to you with a smile on his face. With his eyes looking at you clad in your pink frilly long skirt, and white t-shirt, you run to him and hug him.
He then releases you from the hug, saying, “ I’m sorry that I got cold feet, (Y/N). I had to make sure that I could move on to start something anew with you. Truth be told, after everything that’s happened, I don’t ever want to take life for granted anymore and I don’t even know what would happen should I go back to becoming a superhero, but-”
to which you then interrupt him with a kiss on his lips, and you release yourself from it with your arms around his neck, then saying, “I know, Steve. I was upset that you walked out on me, ” causing them both to chuckle, and then you continue, “but, for what it’s worth, I’m glad that for now, you aren’t Captain America, but you’re Steve Rogers, a normal guy that went around delivering mail, and that way, you found your way to my heart.”
You then close the gap between your faces, your lips pressing onto each other, your arms around his neck and his arms on the sides of your waist, slowly dancing, with the moon bearing witness to a new love story blossoming. Who would’ve thought that both of you would get second chances at love again, all by the means of articulating words on a piece of paper? It thus felt true that everyone falls in love again and again, and when life gives you a second chance, you should never let it go.

I call this campaign idea:
Uncivilized Disobedience
Party starts at level one.
The capital city of Althurious, in the kingdom of Leicester is on lockdown due to insurgents. The party, having never met before, finds themselves at a riot where the commoners are storming the jails in an attempt to get a woman named Jocelyn released.
She is a Joan of Ark style of public hero. She has been defending the farm lands in the kingdom from goblin and bandit raids. No one knows if the goblins and bandits are working together, as they have never been seen working together, but their attacks seem coordinated.
The party arrived in the city in order to join a militia that was being created to help quell these attacks as a last ditch effort by the ruling class to keep the people from revolting. Jocelyn openly opposed the creation of the militia unbeknownst to the hero's. She says that she and her band of friends (read mercenaries) have the situation under control.
The commoners are not happy with her arrest and seek to free her. The newly formed militia is called to stop the riots using any means necessary. Shortly after it arrives all hell breaks loose.
The commoners attack the guards defending the jail. Some of them seem to be far better trained than a commoner should be. Others are not so fortunate and get cut down relentlessly.
An explosion (no dc save) rocks the jailhouse from within, knocking the party unconscious. They awake in cells surrounded by guards(12). The guards are covered head to toe with no skin showing and refuse to answer questions.
In the cell near them lies an unconscious Jocelyn or at least a woman who looks remarkably like her posters. She seems to have been severely beaten, but is still alive and breathing. She doesn't wake up the entire time they wait.
Hours pass, the guard changes to only having two. The lights are dimmed as the wicks burn low. And soon those two guards are fast asleep in the corner having failed to play a game of dice. Suddenly Jocelyn arises with her wounds looking healed.
She speaks the phrase "For the king. May his divine right to rule never be challenged and his throne last forever."
The door to the party's cell opens having been unlocked.
"I do not know the phrase to open my own, please escape from here and tell my friends where I am being held. There is an evil corruption in this kingdom and they will need me if they are to save the people."
If the party attempts to free her she will tell them that any cell not unlocked with its specific password will trigger an alarm and they will all be doomed. The only reason she could free them is because a guard was left here alone and she commanded the password from him and commanded him to forget that he told her. She tells them where to find her friends and how to escape without being seen.
When they finally leave the prison they find out they're deep under the castle and they cannot enter from where they left. The doorway is solid stone and can only be passed through from the inside as a way for the king to escape if the castle is ever sieged.
You can make it up from here, but basically they have fun trying to escape, find their weapons, and make it to her friends after a few sessions. From there they start off causing chaos in the city and disrupting law enforcement in order to give her friends a chance to succeed at doing things that will help them free her.
I have other ideas, but I generally don't go past this point in designing campaigns until the players have decided how they want to play it out.

Because that’s what we would do.
Ok so I’ve been thinking about this for a while.
SO
I (and I’m sure you have too) watched or at least heard of a movie, TV show, book, etc. About aliens coming to earth and trying to take over. Ruin our lives, blow up the Whitehouse (if the movie takes place in the US), take our resources, use us to make their babies etc. etc. tyranny and chaos. Movies like independence day, Alien,  Aliens,  Alien Vs. Predator, The 5th Wave, Avengers, Avengers: Infinity War,  Avengers: Endgame,  Battle Los Angeles, Cowboys and Aliens, so on and so forth. The list goes on.
But what about movies/TV-shows /comic books /stories/ character(s) where the alien or aliens are nice? No fighting, no enslaving humanity, no killing the human race, no kidnapping people and experimenting on them. How many can you think of? Probably not that many. There are a little more than a few though:
- E.T. - Extra Terrestrial
- Earth to Echo
- Arrival
- Paul
- Superman
-  Martian Manhunter (the name is ironic I know but he is a good character (from what I know) in DC comic books))
- Doctor Who
Now, am I missing some, probably. I’m sure there are a lot of characters in within the DC series, and Marvel too maybe (I’m not 100% sure I don’t read marvel that often.) But the point I’m trying to make is that there are more hostile alien movies that non-hostile alien movies. Why?
Why are people so often taking the idea of an extra terrestrial and turning them into monsters? Why make them into a tyrannical off world species that wants to take over the world so badly. ( Also, yes, I have heard stories about aliens experimenting on people and taking them on their ships to be studied like lab rats.) Which is not great, honestly. But back to the point of this post.
Because it’s cool to be the heroes against an oppressive force. Because Sci-Fi is awesome? Yes. Both are very cool. I enjoy watching movies about humanity fighting against aliens as much as any other person would.
But, the question still stands, why do people think that the first thing an alien civilization would do would be to attack?
Because that’s what we would do, people, humanity. (not everyone obviously) Us as a society have been doing that for thousands upon thousands of years and anyone who’s EVER read a history book anywhere, ever. Knows this to be true. So, we put this into our movies, our books, and shows. Because, frankly, we don’t know any better. Us as a society, as a race of humans, as a species. Have been attacking people and other races for centuries.
And since we can’t think of any better. Why would we think that aliens would? But in reality I think, in some cases, that might not be true. If aliens are really smarter than we are or more advanced than we are who says they won’t be look for an alliance, to know that they aren’t alone in the universe either.

Scarlet Phoenix Au Info.
The Scarlet Phoenix is Essentially a combination of Jean Grey and Wanda Maximoff, with their own Identity, Mind, and Soul. They're an a omniversal entity capable of traveling or being reborn into any universe. From Marvel to DC, to even Ben 10 and Generator Rex. This is meant to give you a run down for all you need to know about the Scarlet Phoenix Au, or at least my version.
Origin
The Scarlet Phoenix was born from the merging of Jean Grey and Wanda Maximoff, this merging was a result of a last ditch attempt by the Phoenix Force to save Jean from dying to Thanos's Snap. However this had some unforseen consequence, mainly the Phoenix Force merging with Wanda's Chaos Magic.
This union of these two opposing forces weakened they're overall power, this chaotic power imbalance would later lead to the Scarlet Phoenix's Descent into Madness and the Descent of the Crimson Phoenix.
The heroes that remain including the newly created Scarlet Phoenix fought Thanos in order to restore the universe to how it was, however it didn't go as planned with the Scarlet Phoenix being the last one standing against Thanos and the power of the infinity gems. Their battle shook the multiverse, as they battled across the universe, before finally arriving at the Heart of The Universe, where Scarlet Phoenix siphoned power from the heart to overpower Thanos and take the infinity gems from him.
With Thanos defeated and the gems in hand, they restored the universe to how it was, before using the Heart of the Universe's power to destroy the Gems. Upon returning to Earth, Scarlet Phoenix proclaimed in front of the X-Men and Avengers, "I am Order and Chaos, Life and Death, The Beginning and the End, I am Fire and Eternity Incarnate, Now and Forever, I am the Scarlet Phoenix"
------------------------------------------------------------
Personality
Scarlet Phoenix has some personality traits from both Jean and Wanda, having Jean's sense of Justice as well as her willingness to Sacrifice herself for others. From Wanda they gained a motherly side, and a somewhat controlling nature. Despite having some of Jean and Wanda's Traits, Scarlet Phoenix is still they're own person, and have a very Sarcastic and witty sense of humor, and an often overly care free attitude. They can be a bit of a brat at times, but can be serious if the situation demands it.
------------------------------------------------------------
Powers
The Scarlet Phoenix has the Combined powers of Wanda and Jean in addition to the power of the Phoenix Force. One unique Ability they have is Omniversal Reincarnation, where they can be reborn in any Universe in the Omniverse. The Scarlet Phoenix is also a shape shifter capable of changing Gender and Appearance whenever they so desire.
------------------------------------------------------------
Weaknesses
Having Wanda as part of them the Scarlet Phoenix's mental health is hardly concrete, they are prone to Mental Breakdowns. In addition to that overextending they're hexes could cause them to backfire, they're hexes are limited to what they can see, and if they're not well physically their hexes can be affected. In addition to all that they created special stones that could nullify they're powers if they ever went insane.

The Scarlet Phoenix was something I came up with while watching X-Men Evolution, and I'd thought I would share it with you all. If you have any feedback please don't hesitate to give it, and Welcome to the Unkindness.

In the midst of all the quiet it's a positive debut for Tales of Xillia. Namco's JRPG takes off to the heights of fourth spot, a bit of a shock considering the previous record in the UK To compare the two, one year ago Tales of Graces F debuted on the 14th of April.

Movie review: Black Adam
black Adam ★★ (m) 224 minutes The rise of the black superhero is increasing at a rapid pace. A sequel to Marvel’s Black Panther Coming soon with us and next week will see a release woman king With Viola Davis as the leader of an army of West African warriors. These women have roots in real life rather than the ever-expanding multiverse of Marvel and DC, but they are Black PantherThe success that led to their arrival on the screen. Dwayne Johnson in a scene from the movie Black Adam.attributed to him:Warner Bros. Images via AP But first we have Dwayne Johnson (aka The Rock) as Black Adam, DC’s anti-hero with a very tangled background — even by DC standards. He first appeared on screen here, but began his comic book career in 1945 as the archenemy of Captain Marvel and his family. In those days, he was an Egyptian, but about 20 years ago, he got a psychological change and a new start in life. His wickedness has been reduced to a host of anger management issues and his hometown of Egypt has been transformed into Kandak, a fictional North African country ruled by an unbroken line of psychopaths – or perhaps just the same immortal. I am still not sure. His supernatural power was gained in circumstances too complicated to enter here, but its misuse caused it to be buried for five thousand years. In the film’s opening scenes, we capture him in modern times when he is accidentally ostracized by a group of freedom fighters led by Adriana (Sarah Shahi), an improbably brilliant academic. She and her young son are chased by bully enforcers in Kahndaq and so, the chaos begins. Pierce Brosnan, left, and Aldis Hodge in a scene from the movie Black Adam.attributed to him:Warner Bros. Images via AP These elements of information are delivered in choppy batches between revolutions of CGI action in which DC’s oddly ineffective superhero team, Society for Justice, led by Pierce Brosnan, desperately does their best to resemble a good sport. He spends most of the time surrounded by the Golden Helmet of Destiny, an experience he likened to wearing a bucket on his head. loading The film is from Johnson’s production company and directed by Jaume Collette Serra, his collaborator on this fantastic film. jungle trip, but their sense of humor has disappeared in this. I’ve always thought Johnson’s magic was well indestructible, but whenever it seems to surface, a piece of flying apparatus comes crashing down to quell it. There isn’t much suspense either. It’s the kind of movie that constantly confuses action with action. Source link Originally published at Melbourne News Vine

In spite of the silence and quiet, there's a promising debut for Tales of Xillia. Namco's JRPG is a fourth-placed contender, which is a bit unexpected considering the series' history in the UK. For comparison, Tales of Graces F launched in fourteenth place last year.
