Dante's Inferno? 🔥
Tumblr media
He is in hell:

The Circles of Hell:

Just a cool shot of CX-2 in a hellish laser blast red:

Descent to the final circle:

Ninth Circle: Treachery - Brother vs. Brother (*IF* it's Tech)
Tumblr media
I know I post a lot of tech neck and nonsense, but I do also appreciate the actual classic storytelling going on and I just could not help making parallel to CX-2's descent down the center of the palace and the rings of hell in Dante's Inferno. The Ninth Circle is reserved for those that commit treachery and is considered the greatest sin. I guess it plays a lot in to Crosshair's view on loyalty as well. If CX-2 is Tech, the symbolism is that much more potent. Like, if Tech sacrificed himself, just to end up in hell... That's really something. Either way, it's still a clone brother under the mask and makes sense either way. And this is the absolutely most prettiest show, I'm going to miss it so much.

I had the need to draw my beloved snarky sniper again.
[Reupload because I can never seem to get the saturation right. Why are my colours always so desaturated???]
I have such a blur of different fandoms in my head rn. It's kinda annoying.

Heheh I forgot to show these lovely pieces I did for one of my art classes :)
These are the finished acrylics pieces :) um…they’re based off of the solitary clone and the outpost uh episodes….uh….utilizing shallow and deep space yeah…bc it represents crosshair’s mindset in those episodes yeah..

And these were my concepts that I made in procreate :) ⬇️

Okay, I have a theory about the colour scheme of Crosshair’s outfits throughout the series thus far.
In the first season, as well as a bit of the second, he wears black armour with a green visor thing. Oftentimes, the colour black is associated with evil, which could connect to Crosshair’s loyalty to the evil new government. The colour green also symbolizes new beginnings, just like Crosshair’s new beginning with the Empire away from his family.
In the second season, we occasionally see Crosshair wearing a sort of grey garment. Although I'm not entirely certain if this is accurate, the colour could represent the fact that Crosshair’s loyalty to the Empire is now wavering and he is beginning to question things a bit more than he did before. This is shown when he wakes up in the mornings with zero energy. We can also see it when he temporarily escapes confinement on Mount Tantiss to go warn his family that Hemlock is after Omega, even afterhe was offered to be taken back if he ratted them out. But despite being given that choice to stay loyal to such an evil cause, to turn back to the darkness (black), Crosshair refused. Grey is the colour between black and white, the two colours most commonly associated with good and evil. And because Crosshair chose to not remain loyal to the wrong cause, he begins to move towards a new light.
Finally, we have his outfit in the third season, which is a white version of the clothes he sometimes wore in season two. The colour white often has to do with new beginnings. From what I can tell, this shows that Crosshair is starting anew, he has now fully turned his back on the evil Empire, he's helping Omega escape, and hopefully he'll reunite with his brothers.
This is just what I think, so I could be very, very, very wrong.

So my friend @nobody-expects-the-inquisitorius realized that my lil Jedi initiate oc and Crosshair have a lot of similarities…
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I just had to make some little comics outta some of the dialogue we came up with XD
Ell is a tiny menace and she has decided that Crosshair is the right person to antagonize. Good luck, buddy!

since Crosshair is starting his healing journey, it would be really cool if his hair started growing back (you know, as a symbol of his growth).
(or it all got permanently fried off by the ion engine but whatever. I think it would be a missed opportunity if it didn't grow back)

Bad Batch season 3 spoilers under the cut
Can I just say I love how S3 is already giving us so much more characterization from Phee?
A lot of what we got in S2 was told to us, rather than shown to us. When we meet her and through the episode where she goes on a treasure hunt with the Batch, she comes off as a careless, reckless pirate. Not a bad person or personality, but a braggert who doesn't have other people as a main concern. Kinda like Hondo Onaka but a little less dramatic.
So for me, her shift in the Pabu episode was a bit jarring. Not too mention the boys trusting her enough to let her take them to unknown coordinates. Sure they all worked together to stop that ancient weapon, but that entire episode showed Hunter as skeptical of her and that never really flipped in the episode. And the boys don't trust easily to begin with so that was a big leap for me to accept without being shown. Same with her relationship with Tech. Whether you think they're an item or they were just close platonically, they clearly were the closest to one another but we never saw that happening, just the effects after it happened off screen. And I get it's a kids show and we're not gonna see everything like that. But I didn't have enough to make the pay offs satisfying.
But S3 is really helping fill that out. Point of No Return showed Phee as determined and bossy but still considerate in her own way. It also showed her as really competent. She knew something was off when the clone assassin was sneaking around and she was ready to fight. She would have caught him, too, if the fuel droid didn't interrupt her.
That now makes her someone I personally can see vibing better with the Batch and particularly Tech. I know more about her so I can fill in what S2 didn't show me.
And this latest episode, where she meets Crosshair and knows exactly who he is because of Tech? She hung out with all the batch. I'm sure they've mentioned Cross to her, especially Omega. But she learned about his personality from Tech. That helps me fill in so many gaps about Phee and Tech's conversations that makes their goodbye in S2 feel more understandable and natural.
I guess I'm saying a lot of stuff in S2 regarding Phee felt like it came out of nowhere. While I liked her well enough and liked how she shook up the boys, I never really felt like I knew her or had a solid grasp of how she would interact with anyone. Now though I've been given so much more and I can really appreciate her as a more developed character and important force pushing the narrative foward.

Okay, so about people denying the fact that the clone assassin is tech by saying that Crosshair couldn’t undergo the conditioning because he was a defective clone, and tech is a defective clone so it would be the same for him… they have different kinds of defects tho… like crosshair was more susceptible to the inhibitor chip for some reason, while the others, aside from wrecker, never experienced its effects. It also could be some kind of immune system thing that crosshair developed towards the conditioning or whatever, if that makes sense… But also all of the bad batch have different kinds of defects so there’s that
