I wish I could draw because if i could I'd definitely draw a little pride celebration comic strip where the first panel is just Tim with a basic 'Love is Love' T-shirt and hoodie all like: "Thanks for coming with me, guys. It means a lot to me that you're such great allies"

And then it cuts to next panel of almost the entire Extended family studying him with varying amounts of doubt, confusion, shock, and frustration while wearing A LOT of their own pride merch and get ups.

Selina is in the calmest costume of all of them. To the average person, she's in her typical thigh high boots and leather jacket civvies. To a more discerning eye, she's wearing her most sapphic earring (large minimalist wires of a naked woman's torso with small pearls as nipples) and a novelty (gasp) T-shirt, obscured mostly by her jacket, that parodies Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon album with the Bi flag colors instead of a rainbow. Her nails which are just visible are painted with a pink to blue gradient that the mirror finish of her sunglasses shares.

The most out there is Steph which is why her reaction is the most intense. She's spray colored her hair, wearing a color blocked outfit to fit the Pan colors fit with a bright blue tutu. She has appropriately colored tiny cast iron pans as earring and the flag facepainted on her cheeks and the inclusion flag pinned to her like a cape. They're not at the celebration yet but it is very obvious she is one of those people who will just keep collecting bracelets, stickers, flags, and any merch she can find when she does get there.

They rest fall between Selina and Steph. Jasons's jacket is covered in patches and pins. Duke has a pride hoodie with pins too only he's also wearing the inclusion flag and rainbow socks. Dick has face paint, an obligatory pan pun on his shirt, and booty shorts (obviously could not be seen in a still picture) that say 'Equal Opportunity' on the butt. The shirt and the shorts very obviously do not match, but he's too shameless to be pressured into changing. Cass is dressed in all rainbows courtesy of Steph.

Kate is in the least colorful outfit but the loudest with only a dash face paint and holding a flag etched black with the names, office adresses, and reelection days of politicians that supported anti-queer acts and laws and a bold 'SHUT THEM THE FUCK UP' She holds her thumb up and says: "No problem, bud."

There would be an Bonus part where Ivy, quietly wrapped in a Lesbian flag, leans over to Harley, covered in glitter and stickers to ask: "Are we sure he's a Bat." Referring to apparent lack of detective skills.

Bruce 'I choke on my emotional constipation every time I tell my kids good job' Wayne and Damian 'I'm too young to care to ask what's going on ' Wayne would be in the background dressed in minimal apparel drawn as laughably unfinished blobs in their own experience blissfully unaware of Tim's obliviousness.

Tim is also unaware of Tim's obliviousness.

And then I'd label it "Bats have the highest rates of Homosexuality of any Mammal"

Ranking Ikemen MCs Outfits (Standard Vs Idols)

I feel like playing fashion critic today.

First, I will rank their everyday outfits~

Everyday Outfits

4TH PLACE: MITSUKI (Ikemen Vampire)

This outfit invokes within me, pure revulsion. At first, I was like "That is really boring, I would not be seen in that" but the more I look at it the more I hate it. Like, ughhhh, what a waste of potential. Girl, you in the Victorian Era, why you dressed like that?

If I had a hot super rich vampire who thrived on spoiling me, you better believe I am strutting out in a different dress everyday. Paris would be my runway.

Maybe she's going for the "girl next door" look but then she should gone for a cuter top to go with the skirt. Maybe something with ruffles like THIS

To make it more interesting...

But nooooo...

If she was conservative, so be it but she's NOT. So the outfit is even less necessary and all around....blegh.

Conclusion: The outfit is bland as hell, the hair ribbon isn't helping, the shoes are trash. Thus it is a blegh outfit. Her saving grace is her wavy hair, cause I love wavy hair.

3RD PLACE: ALICE (Ikemen Revolution)

Ok so... suspenders....hm...suspender dresses don't work very often for me, especially not ones with long suspenders. They're offensive but...they don't look like they're good for much. They look ready to snap at the slightest inconvenience. The top is what Mitsuki should be wearing. Relatively simple, considering she is from Victorian England, but cute. The ribbon looks a little weird, like the designers couldn't decide whether it should be a bow or a scarf. The brooch is pretty, though it doesn't look like it really needs to be there. The skirt is very pretty, the design is princessy and girly and the frills are not overdone. The color scheme is a little...dull, especially with the dark over skirt...it could afford to be a little livelier. That said...the hair. Pretty standard, just like the other MCs. at least hers has a braid? I guess...

Conclusion: It isn't AWFUL just...a little dull for such a lively young woman...

2ND PLACE: MAI (Ikemen Sengoku)

Now this is a very cute outfit. Nice shade of pink, love the floral design on it, the splash of red from the obi (is that what it's called?) adds a nice touch, it's a fairly simple, clean look. There isn't much to say about it, apart from the rope belt with the red beads is cute too. It doesn't exactly say "princess" of anything tbh, BUT she is also a chatelaine right? So she does need to be a bit more practical...Points though for a slightly different hairstyle. Two cute braids while the rest is loose...not a world of difference, but it does sort of set her apart from the other MCs.

Conclusion: It's a pretty kimono, it suits her and the pink flowers make me happy.

1ST PLACE: EMMA (Ikemen Prince)

Emma hands down is the prettiest MC of the four and part of that is because she has the best everyday outfit. Not too much, not too little. The collar is really cute and I love the corset with gold accents and the blue and red looks pretty on her without her looking like the American flag. I will voice my discontent that her Hairstyle is...the most boring of all the MCs. It's like all of theirs, but it's just a bun...literally not much else is different. It suits her but...meh.

Conclusion: Simple but pretty enough to be noticeable. Practical and kinda elegant too.

Idol Outfits~

4TH PLACE: ALICE

Easily Alice is the cutest here. Pigtails? That's already two points. This is a pigtail-loving zone. That little touch of pink lipstick make her look so soft and pretty, the suitors won't be able to stop kissing her💋. The dress looks so beautiful on her, she looks like a fairytale princess, bonus for the shorter black skirt.

I have to admit, I am not a fan of that color. Normally, seafoam makes me SICK, but she actually rocks it tbh, especially with the light splashes of magenta and pale blue roses blending with it.

Those earrings tho....😬

Tassels on jewelry are a no-no in my book. And those earrings look like a last second add on, cause they do not go too well with the choker and the little gems on her dress. They don't ruin the look but...mm, not great at all.

Speaking of the choker...I'm a sucker for chokers and the gems match her eyes great.

Conclusion: She is a pretty princess, which is to be expected, she is the "lady" of the 4 and I would LOVE for this to be the standard look. I feel like if she started singing, the most soothing voice would come out of her...maybe she would sound like Ariana Grande?

3RD PLACE: EMMA

Oo, she looks greaaaat in dark blue with all the gold and ruffles, the pants are so Girl Boss💅 to me...though....the hair is a bit meh. It's not bad at all, just a little underwhelming to me. I also wish there was more colors other than blue here. Maybe if the gems and earrings were pink or yellow, she would be more striking? Or maybe add a dash of violet to the pants? Or have the inside top be lilac? The scarf looks a little out of place, it doesn't really go with the rest of the outfit but...I actually kind of like it? The only other reason Emma isn't higher is because the top 2 are top tier👀

Conclusion: She may be Belle, but she looks like a badass version of Cinderella👠 and I'm here for it. She looks like a singer with a powerful voice like...Christina Aguilera?

2ND PLACE: MAI

Ayee, check out the Princess of Azuchi👀

She looks amazing! I'm a sucker for hair streaks, and she comes out here rocking red in that ponytail (Is it a ponytail? I think it's a ponytail). I think its really cute she still sports her signature braids even in a different style, so it's still very Mai. Now...the outfit itself, at first glance I thought it was a bit much, but it actually works. She actually reminds me of Keiji with all the colors. Flashy but it looks good. She doesn't do red too often, but she looks fire in it with all the gold and purples. I love the mismatched earrings cause...well because they're pretty and it's a bit rebellious. Black nails...take a special kind of person to pull them off without looking too dark...and she has managed it. I also like the flowers in her hair...except for that really big white one. It looks a little awkward and might be overdoing it with that one. However...thigh high socks...👀

Now you're speaking my language. They look so CUTE on her! Combined with little black dress, she could only wear that and still look amazing. I live for the top part of the dress, especially the black sheer. Very Kai'sa to me and I stan Kai'sa so... I stan this top. The skirt might be just a TOUCH too much, considering the rest of the ensemble, so maybe she should've gone for just a simple miniskirt? But she can keep the pearls, i will never say no to pearls.

The kimono is still very Sengoku while taking a modern hammer to it, and it paid off in spades. Its bold, its beautiful and there is no question that this is Azuchi's princess, if not queen.

Conclusion: She is a literal Pop princess🎤, she looks like she can rap tbh, I imagine her sounding like Lisa from BLACKPINK. And I'm there for it

1ST PLACE: MITSUKI

Now this is the look of a Vampire QUEEN👸. I love everything here, the dress is hella gorgeous, the purple and black is stunning on her. That hair is EVERYTHING, especially with the pearls, she is literally a princess. I love the earrings, they are gorgeous, but not overly flashy or crazy looking and add to the glamorous vibes she is setting off. The necklace is a bit much, I'd be afraid to wear it for fear it'll prick me😅 but she makes it work. Gold nails💅? Yes please. They go well with her glittery makeup, it's not too much, but just enough to make her eyes come out more. And if that wasn't enough....thigh high socks and fingerless gloves..?

Yes. Just....yes.

She is top tier in this, I wish she could look like this all the time. She looks like an A-list movie star playing a queen...with sparkles everywhere. And I can never have enough sparkle✨

Conclusion: Her everyday look causes me anguish and physical pain, but THIS is giving me life, oh nah, she could take over France looking like this. She definitely looks like she can sing like Mariah Carey, I'm convinced.

The Color Series

So @throttlegainwell asked for some BTS on my color series and I am, of course, more than happy to provide :D

I think I want to talk about my color choices because I've talked briefly about one character and no one else's.

So, like six months ago now, I posted my Across the Vale series, which was character sheets for a DnD AU I had made of Stranger Things. Which was loads of fun to construct. And that is where I got many of my colors for the color series from. But, not all of them. Because I had, at the time, all the hex codes for the colors written down on a few different post-it notes and they were randomly picked based on vibes.

When I started the color series itself, I needed proper color names. So I started with those hex codes and looked up each one to get the color name. I have like three different sources I used to get color names from and I kept most of the colors. But, not all of them. Because some of them just... were not great. For example, only two of Jonathan's colors were roll-overs as two of them were just way too close together (as it turned out) and the fourth was University of California Gold. And as much as I laughed when that came up, I was not using that.

Now the DnD series had only four colors each, so everyone who had a DnD sheet got a bonus fifth color and from that I picked one where I liked the color name. If I didn't like the color name, I would pick something that was a similar shade to one that was dropped.

That worked overall. Many characters got colors similar to their color vibe in the show. Purple for Nancy, blue for Steve and Mike, yellow for Will, brown for Jonathan. The other kids don't have "colors" but I picked green for Lucas, red for Max, and orange for Dustin because the vibes. Joyce (which I've talked about somewhere before) got a blend of Jonathan and Will, also being very earth-toned. For El, I wanted to make her more faded cause she is still learning who she is. So she has purple and pink (mainly pink) tones, but they are very grey-leaning. I did something similar for Hopper to tie them together, green but very grey-leaning.

Robin, Argyle, and Erica got way more fun vibes. Robin's is quite literally the lesbian flag. I pulled the hex codes initially directly from it. I wanted Argyle to similarly be very fun colored, some of his are from the pansexual flag, but they are overall very bright and fun. For Erica, I experimented a bit and many of her colors are pulled from her outfits leading to fun array of colors as well. Dmitri, well, I intended him to be the Russian flag. It was an accident he ended up so bisexual themed XD

Everyone else got one color assigned to them. They didn't have color sheets, so I was starting everyone else from scratch. I would think of what color generally fit them and then go through my color name sheets and find a color name that fit them. Lots of scrolling and searching. With some, I did follow the Erica route and pull the color from something they wore, like Chrissy and Heather. Some were pure vibes like Eddie or Karen. I still have the huge list saved of everyone's color assignments.

One thing I did try to do when making the sets is make sure no one had the same middle blend color. Sometimes, with the larger sets, the second or fourth would be the same somewhere. But the middle one was always unique. This was quite a challenge sometimes. With the characters with multiple colors, I would just change out the color they were for another when I noticed the blended color was the same. Photocheer was actually very difficult because of this. I think using the color Rabbit for the Jonathan side was my second-to-last choice. I really struggled with it. But I have a second list of all my blended sets and their colors. And as I made more and more, I started having to ctrl+find to make sure the color wasn't used elsewhere already. Cause many of the sets I posted in January were already made before I started making the sets I posted in December. So it became a problem really early on in the posting process. I think I managed to pull off never using the same photo twice as well, but I could be wrong.

One type of set for this series that I'm actually kind of sad that I haven't made is any friendship sets between the main teens and the kids outside of siblings and group sets. But it is a kind of set I would want to make equal and there just isn't good interaction between some characters that I would be able to justify to myself.

I hope that works as those are some of my thoughts on making this series! I am happy to go into more of any specific part if anyone has any further questions. This series really was a labor of love and it introduced me to so many ships. Like holy cow... But also, I hope I got to introduce some to you guys too.

RA characters at Pride (gathering #23: celebration)

- Will’s been going to pride parades since he was tiny. Halt and Crowley would bring him in a golf cart, or a stroller with rainbow balloons tied to the handles, and they give him a bubble wand and let him go nuts.

- So of course, when he and Horace start dating, Will brings him along too. Horace is a little timid at first—he’s not really given to wearing bright colors, so for his first one, he wears a black muscle tank and sticks a rainbow flag in the pocket of his jeans.

- Then a little kid hands Horace a string of rainbow beads, and it’s all over. Horace is collecting those rainbow beads left and right, absolutely decked out in them like a queer Christmas tree. (Will did not bribe the kid. He totally, absolutely, would have never stooped that low... or would he?)

- The next year, he and Horace get rainbow cowboy hats, and also jackets with uncalled-for amounts of fringe to match. They also bring Alyss and Cassandra with them.

- Alyss’s outfit is strategically rainbow-colored. She’s wearing a red hat, orange sunglasses, yellow shirt, green belt, blue shorts, and purple socks. Cassandra finger-paints the lesbian flag on her cheek.

- Cass is a glitter monstrosity. absolutely doused in it from head to toe. She and Alyss are still finding sparkles in the sock drawer come December, and there are no regrets, but she’s expressly forbidden from doing it ever again.

- So the next time, Cass manages to get her hands on a motorcycle, and she wheedles Alyss into riding with her in the Dykes on Bikes section of the parade. It’s quite honestly the best moment of both their lives. Will and Horace wolf-whistle as they roar past.

- Pauline wears a shirt that reads Free Mom Hugs, and Arald wears a shirt that reads Free Dad Hugs.

- bonus: halt used to moonlight as a drag queen when he was younger. his drag name? *ara slay*

OPLA Faceclaim Sources

It has come to my attention lately that certain sources have a bunch of characters that would probably fit well into the world of One Piece's live action adaptation, so here's my list! Any additions from you side are welcome and I'll be adding more to this myself if I come up with any more!

Our Flag Means Death

I mean, obviously the gay pirate show had to be here. It's silly enough for One Piece and you have the added bonus of it being pirate-themed!

Good Omens

In my opinion, Crowley and Aziraphale would be in no shape or form out of place in the world of One Piece as they are, given the proper devil fruit, and so using them as a faceclaim is also a good option. Other characters would probably be a good pick too.

The Disney Descendants Movies

Listen, you've got your colorful hair, your fancy outfits, your magical stuff and themes of friendship... Hell, there's even a pirate crew mainly featured in the second movie and reappearing in the third! Go wild!

visuals: this episode's direction is amazing, ya'll. really underrated. the use of slanted angles gives what could be a standard period YA story stand out, and it gives it a kind of... splashy, noir-but-colorful vibe. it also fits really well with the whole "telly gone wrong" thing the story is going for. the faceless ones effect is simple but effective, the telly lady is iconic, and don't get me started on rose and ten's iconic rockabilly outfits... colonialism / hegemony: some interesting lines: "we may have lost the empire, but we can still be proud" / "only an idiot hangs the union flag upside down". there's a line from ten that's really funny about "this is the queen's england! not being men in black or stalinist russia",,, stealth anti-communist propaganda is always hilarious but specially hilarious in november 2023 when sunak is pushing the "anti-terrorism" card to jail palestine marches (and starmer would rather be die than call for a ceasefire). this ep is interesting also in that it's a good example of brittish pop culture trying to re-build a sense of identity after being "beaten" as an empire. so in the story, the coronation itself must retain its importance, the monarchy can't be questioned... but it seeks to reframe its importance in "the domestic" and entertainment sphere ("this is history right here"). make no mistake tho, it is still very patriotic. the dad gets called out not for being a Proper briton and not hanging The Flag Correctly... overall tho it's fun to see a conservative ass get his own rhetoric used against him (by the doctor, by rose, by tommy, and by the mother). And i think this episode makes the correct analysis in showing how the "patriotic veterans" ideology is fueling the neo-facists of today's uk (See: the "poppies sellers are afraid to leaver heir home" circus last week). themes: i used to think s2 didnt have much of a cohesive theme compared to s1 or s3 but now i think im starting to notice one emerging: the resistance against modernity and the passage of time. this episode is a good partner to rise of the cybermen/Army of steel with one talking about "phone updates and blootooth but they can mind control" and "what if tv melts ur brain"... in both the evil bug eyed monsters make those fears literal... but the real moral crutch is, pherhaps more than "phone bad"... that people become complicit and compliant to everything happening on the world around them. and that those who rebel against this apathy are virtuous in doing so (see The Preachers, tommy, etc). I also think this theme fits really well with School Reunion (sarah jane coming to terms with her ageing, rose coming to terms with her eventual death / the death of her relationship with the doctor, the "disco" aspect of k-9 being ridiculed but then showing to have value) and then with GiTf, with the clockwork robots being a probable (unintentional?) metaphor for monarchy and "obsolete" technologies that linger on.

Character of the day highlight: The telly-lady is such a good one off villain. Every time she says "IM HUNGRY" "FEEEDMEEE" it was hilarious and great. The whole family is also all get a moment to shine. "I did what I thought was right" and "That's my mother" were really arresting. On a negative point though, I would have cut the inspector guy, his death did not hit hard enough because he just didn't have enough screentime in this one. The Timeless Child bonus: Ten's bonding with the kid serves really well as parallel to himself. Tecteum would have a lot in common with the dad this episode so it's kind of cool that in that way, The Doctor gets to stand up for themeselves.

Companion watch: Ten and rose are very clever in this one.not in a wow million years of techbobabble clever or high functioning psychopath clever way but like, good ol fashion connecting cues, knowing how to push ppl's button and who to talk to get information. I would say these are about apathy, and [falling in line]. there's also an interesting character point of her being more invested in things working out for his family which as i said in another post, honestly takes off some of the sensationalism i've seen around her telling the kid to talk to his dad.

Misc: Missed a trick by not having ten say NOTHING IN THE WOKR DCAN STOP ME NOWW in That Scene. this ep also vibes well with s1 in that tommy is Inspired to save the day (i wish he had more time to bond w/ 10/rose so this Hit more, but as it is, it's perfectly fine. it's more of a "this person was already great and they didn*t *need* the doctor and co, but it's nice that they helped anyway").

I am having a lot of fun with Fashion Dreamer! Making outfits for other players, getting outfits myself and becoming endeared with the NPCs makes for a very relaxing and fun time (which my brain needs lately). And once I heard you can make up to four Muses my mind immediately went to RWBY. I wanna do other characters as well but for todays here’s some of the Yang pictures I have!

As of now there’s no way to pose your own Muses together (which I want so badly I need to make my own Bees photo shoot) but getting excited about styling them solo has basically taken over my life

And here you can see where I discovered the ponytail! Volume 4 Yang and JLxRWBY pt2 can live on forever here! Some of the outfits were put together by me but others were LookIts made by other players! There’s a sweater pattern I Need with a vengeance so I can make a certain flag, but I think my next goal is some all yellow outfits, and then dressing each girl with their teammates colors (so all red, white and black and then a mix of them. For Weiss it would be yellow red and black and so on)

I currently have three of the girls made. The only one missing is Blake and it’s bc I don’t have an eye color unlocked that fits her. Fingers crossed I get it soon!

This was probably one of vy most difficult colorpicks, as Gus’s outfits almost entirely exist of blue and gray. His only outfits that have colors that vi can actually colorpick from are his Emerald Entrails outfit and his outfit from “Clouds on the Horizon”. The first one has no purple and the second has no green, so vi had to search for a screenshot or official art that could work.

Al Pacino movies recently watched by me, ranked on queerality.

Serpico (1973) - Best outfits, hair and beard by far. Paco’s got a new pet every 30 minutes. (Sheepdog named Alfie, cockatoo, heroine mice, fishes.) Can’t hold down a relationship, except for Alfie, best $5 he ever spent. Gets accused of giving blow jobs in the bathroom by Principal Strickland from “Back To The Future” after joking around with a college and showing off his terrible ballet skills. Points for being cultured. Minus points for the soundtrack being a little all over the place. And Frank really could’ve used a therapist. Minus points for not crediting Judd Hirsh and F. Murray Abraham. Extra points for flirting with male co-workers. Extra points for exposing police corruption and getting shot. Extra EXTRA points for not only having a purse but wearing it and using it exactly like a purse. Also, the real Serpico is alive and well and does great grandpa tweets. Very gay. 8.5/10

Crusin’ (1980) - Terrible hair, let’s get that out of the way. Karen Allen’s apartment is impossibly huge or she’s made the best use out of space of anyone in New York ever. And she only has one fucking record. Otherwise good soundtrack. For a movie about the gay leather bar scene, he should at least get to kiss a man, but never does so minus points for that. Points for lots of men kissing and tons of butts. Minus points for some sus looking eagles on flags and hats... Points for Steve’s bff being a soft gay. Minus points for later on. :/ Big points for the bondage scene that Steve was clearly very disappointed backup interrupted. Minus points for that ONE fucking spotlight on Pacino like we didn’t know he was tracking his suspect or could pick him out on an empty sidewalk from behind. Points for questioning sexuality. Points for a tit grab. Points for surprise young Mr. Matthews from “Boy Meets World”. Minus points for that ending and implicating something that doesn’t fucking track. 6.5/10

The Hunters (2020) - Bonus points for lesbians of color in the 1970s. Bonus points for Murray and Mindy, they are my favorites and I love my fictional Jewish grandparents. Points for that major twist, though it hurt my heart. I like a twist you can suspect if you really pay attention. Major points for that BIG FUCKER of a twist at the very end and we better get a season two. Over all, for Pacino, not super gay, but Judd Hirsh gives him a kiss on the cheek after telling him to stop murdering Nazis and never visit him again. 2/10 for queerness, 9/10 for killing Nazis (minus one point for you know why at the end), 10/10 for being a fucking great show.

Dog Day Afternoon (1975) - Based on a real story. Points for Sonny not letting his ex-wife body shame herself. Points for Chris Sarandon doing real research for his trans role, though it’s still 1970s cis male understanding of a trans woman. Points for this line: “To my darling wife Leon whom I love as no other man has loved another man in all eternity.” Points for Pacino being Pacino and Sidney Lumet for keeping an eye on the gay. It’s a literal queer film. 9/10

People I Know (2002) - Pacino dropping a bunch of hints first half hour of the film, checking out a hooka guy at a sex/drug den, later having a meeting with a buff male model to represent. Minus points for what happens to Tea Leoni’s character. Kim Bassinger tries to make out twice and fails, mostly because your his dead brother’s widow, honey. Points for the older male doctor calling Eli “sweetie” and “Sweetheart”. Points for the over abundance of the word “honey” from Eli. Points for declaring he moved to Hollywood because he wanted to suck cock too much. A literal bisexual short king. Unfortunately that ending was very unsexy and ungay of them. 4/10 overall, 6.5/10 for queerness.

when the students ask her what it is, she just gives the projects human names

teaches major science and math courses

he teaches chemistry but only chem for majors in chemistry

it’s not that he can’t teach chem for non majors

but he sometimes gets too ahead of himself and forgets he’s teaching a course for non majors

it’s easier for him to teach for majors because the students can follow his ramblings better

he teaches upper level math courses and usually only has like three students in those classes

he’ll sit up on his desk and debate with the students for the entire hour about the riemann hypothesis

he gets excited because the students are just as enthusiastic as he is

he is two extremes

he either shows up to his classroom like a half hour early and writes out all his notes on the board so that when the students come in, he can go right into lecture

or he’ll show up two minutes before class starts with his hair disheveled, his tie undone and his expression glazed over and just be like “listen up i woke up late and just downed an entire pot of coffee i brewed with several cans of monster energy—i don’t exist on this dimension anymore”

on those days, he lets his students work on other projects for other classes because he knows it’s not fair to ask his students to focus if he’s not

he helps them with their homework

penelope brings him lunch sometimes to make sure he’s eating

he appreciates it a lot because between lesson plans and grading, he sometimes forgets to eat

he’s absolutely the youngest prof on campus

sometimes even his students are older than he is

but everyone addresses him correctly and respects him bc he’s really chill

his office is a disorganized mess

there’s files and papers all over his desk

and a sculpture penelope made for him (she named that one “roger”)

psychology professor

she really has a passion for teaching and learning about human psychology

(she may have started to become interested in psychology bc her sister was in the psch honors course before she died)

she comes across as a little hostile and unapproachable tbh

but she’s young

and she’s attractive

and she’s not conveniently what people think a professor looks like

she’ll respect her students if they respect her

she didn’t graduate the top of her class and work her ass off for the degree to not be respected

if there’s any inappropriate comments aimmed towards her or anyone in the class, she kicks the aggressor out immediately

she stands at the front of the room and lectures for the beginning part of the semester

once she’s built a good rapport with her students (and vise versa), she becomes more chill

she’ll sit on the edge of her desk and encourage discussion rather than following a book or a set plan

(she finds it’s more interesting that way anyway)

sometimes her students will show up ten minutes before class starts just to talk with her once they’re comfortable with her

she always answers her emails students send her (queen shit tbh 👑)

some kids in the psych major course playfully call her “mom” because she always asks them how they’re doing and about their week

(she hasn’t decided how she feels about it, but she also lets it slide)

always wears pants suits but cuffs the sleeves to the jackets

her office always smells like eucalyptus because she has a small mist diffuser plugged in

she also has a small fish tank with a beta fish inside (its the appropriate size too!!)

(she let a student name the fish—it’s name is sir bubbles of argon)

there’s a small couch in her office and her door is always open

sometimes, students will come in if they’re having a hard time and need someone to talk to

they know jj is there to listen and she always seems to understand (she doesn’t judge them either)

teaches three languages, both for majors and non majors

spanish, french and russian

(she’s also quite fluent in arabic and italian and can hold her own if she’s speaking in german or mandarin, but the students don’t need to know that)

she’s actually very intimidating lmao

students are so scared of her 😭

she’s serious af

(she smiles in class sometimes though!!)

(besides, she’s only serious inside the classroom)

(outside the classroom, she might even be as approachable as penelope)

always dressed in expensive black suits, polished heeled shoes with very dark makeup and a “don’t fuck with me” steely attitude to match

she also wears expensive watches

she always stands at the front of the class and slowly paces the entire hour

one time someone decided to fuck off in her spanish 101 class

if she catches a bigoted comment someone makes in her class, she kicks them immediately

she brings in her cat sometimes

he’s all black and his name is sergio

(he’s her esa that she brings in when she’s feeling really stressed out)

he’s clipped on a harness and sits on her shoulder or on her desk

if he meows, she accepts it as an answer

it’s the only time the students ever see professor emily prentiss as soft

well

other than the days she has the class watch foreign films because the students can tell emily has a fondness for them

her office is pretty organized like jj’s

instead of it being light and inviting, emily decorated her office on a more dark side

she has a few animal skulls, crystals and other gothic memorabilia on her desk or bookshelf

she has a small cat bed on the corner of her desk that sergio sleeps in

on the other corner is a sculpture penelope made her

really, the only colors in her office are dark, deep purples and the small lesbian pride flag sticker on the back of her laptop

teaches history classes

but like modern history

from like 1940s to present

he refuses to follow most western history books bc they’re not accurate like at all

in his first year of teaching, the dean of his department made him use a book and he hated every second of it

how accurate could the information be if they portray king tut as a white guy???

he graduated under one of the best historians in the country

he also traveled a lot after he graduated and met a lot of people that had first hand experience with major historical events

that’s really what he bases his teachings off of—first hand experiences and encounters

every two weeks or so, he’ll invite in guest speakers to his classes to talk about what they went through (depending on his lesson plans)

that’s how he likes to teach and learn (bc he always loves to learn new things!!)

this is random, but also he is the type of professor to randomly box jump up onto a desk

he also sits in chairs backwards and has a more laid back style to teaching

his exams are based on what the students can learn from history rather than the information itself

he’s always dressed super casual!!

solid color, short sleeve button ups are a favorite!! (no tie)

he gets along with all the students

he’ll talk to the athletes about their games but sound just as enthusiastic and genuine talking with students who are majors in fine arts about their projects

he’s just a v down to earth professor tbh!!

ties that are tied so tight, they look like they’re choking him

shoes so polished, he can see his reflection in them

hair always styled neatly

pants and jacket are always wrinkle free

his classes are difficult

not just because of the subject matter, but because he has a very organized, straight forward method to his teaching

students wouldn’t dare act up in his class—they’d be absolute idiots to

he’s quiet and reserved outside the classroom

if the others hear anyone talking shit about hotch behind his back, they’re always quick to come to his defense

they actually know hotch

they know he puts on a hardass exterior, but really he’s just a softie

he always lets them hang in his office with him

he listens to spencer’s ramblings and is extremely patient with him

even if she’s a pain in his ass 99% of the time, he likes that she sticks around and that he can trust her

his attire is always business casual

he sits on the edge of the desk or on a swivel chair because it’s comfy

he was doing a lecture on jack the ripper and just pushed himself around on the swivel chair, slowly spinning around the front of the room

his voice kept changing in volume every few words because of him facing the wall and then a few moments later facing the classroom

his students refer to him as a “living breathing meme”

he has no idea what the fuck that means

but he take it as a compliment

his office is empty because he goes home after he’s done with classes lmao

he doesn’t do paperwork

or fuck with technology (he never fucking responds to emails smh)

so he has no need for an office
