The Book of Proverbs, as a sapiential book, teaches that the wise and the fool pursue different things due to their different natures, and this is because wisdom is the love of science and truth, while foolishness is a path deeply related to destructiveness, superstition, and ignorance. In other words, there are two paths, righteousness ("Do to no one what you yourself hate" Tobit 4:15) and sin, and men must choose. Folly in its worst form is linked to hopelessness and confusion, and this is what is observed in those countries where there are higher levels of violence, poverty, and institutional corruption. The cruelest tyrannies that exist in the world feed on this social problem. It could be said that the great problem of humanity is a problem of education, and this is due to the rejection of wisdom. And this rejection for spiritual knowledge has its explanation in the Sacred Scriptures: "Mockers resent correction, so they avoid the wise" Proverbs 15:12. This is why if human beings want to prosper and reach true happiness they must avoid certain companies and look for others, as the phrase says: "Walk with the wise and become wise, for a companion of fools suffers harm" Proverbs 13:20. The sapiential books do not seek to teach error or heresy, and thus deceive readers, the Bible always seeks to teach the best. For all these explanations the Bible with its knowledge warns men with a proverb full of wisdom: "A wise person is hungry for knowledge, while the fool feeds on trash" Proverbs 15:14. The wise illuminate societies with their knowledge, while the foolish only lead humanity to a dead end, this is a fundamental truth.

okay but like. I just had the weirdest thought about that ‘don’t look I’m naked’ comic. Which is that that’s essentially the same thing Adam and Eve did after they ate the fruit of knowledge of good&evil. So I feel like the theological implications of that could kneecap Gabe if he doesn’t think V1 is a being with free will.
yeah ok. i dunno man. is this anything
((side note. this isn’t necessarily meant to be in-character or story-accurate or take place at any particular point in time, just a way to explore some Thoughts. i was also imagining more that V1’s words aren't actually spoken, more like Gabriel’s more articulate interpretation of whatever garbled mechanical noise V1 is using to communicate. I think an angel could do that.))

cardinal rule number one of university; don't fuck your classmates. unless they happen to have something you want.
premise. ‘friends with benefits’? more accurately fuck buddies with perks. you don’t fuck just any guy with a dick, and you certainly do not chase after men.
you don’t chase, they just come to you on their own terms and you get to fool around as you please, reaping the rewards for a little fun. and it’s all no strings attached, right?
“hold on, how do you know suna?”

All the sapiential books in the Bible, which are books dedicated to the study of the most excellent science, the wisdom, start from a spiritual truth from Psalm 1, the Psalm of the two paths: "For the LORD watches over the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked leads to destruction" Psalm 1:6. In other words, before man's reason there are two paths and two rewards, and no one is beyond good and evil. And the Book of Proverbs, after metaphorically presenting wisdom in the first person in a brief text, continues with a series of collections of sentences that explain the reward or the destiny of people depending on which path they choose, righteousness or sin, the love for wisdom or folly. And in one of these maxims, King Solomon, author of the Book of Proverbs, stated: "Whoever walks in integrity walks securely, but whoever takes crooked paths will be found out" Proverbs 10:9. The phrase of the proverb teaches that the men who live righteously lead their lives without fear and with security, because wisdom, which is the mother of righteousness, leads men along the path of life. Righteousness is a progressive, benevolent, and edifying path, and like the sun that rises in the morning, so is the righteous life. But then the phrase speaks of the path of fools, whoever follows this path, follows a tortuous and difficult path, because as the saying goes, due to the destructive unforeseen events, sooner or later concealment strategies fail, the whole truth cannot be hidden all the time. The wise men like Ben Sira and Solomon with their wisdom taught man the path of excellence, but the freedom to choose is in men.
