i feel like all three of the prominent main female characters in mapleshade's vengeance were dealt a shitty hand writing wise in their own way. obviously mapleshade goes without saying because i don't have to explain why "woman's kids die and then she starts ~hearing voices~ and becomes a murderer obsessed with revenge, also this is the backstory for the literal only major female villain in the series at this point in time" isn't great. reedshine is given no interiority and must immediately forgive her dipshit husband and take his side for the sake of substantiating the reader's sympathy for mapleshade (tangential but worth pointing out- if mapleshade was truly meant to be an unreliable narrator then there would be no need to do this!). frecklewish's whole thing is her uncontrolled grief over her dead brother making her impulsively overemotional and violent in the face of perceived betrayal, contrasted with the Poised and Reasonable men in authority around her, with recent official commentary postulating that she reacted to the death of the children she treated poorly with spiteful indifference as a result. like it's just all sooooo bad

Cat Commissions

fullbody drawing of your warriors oc, real life cat, or non-warrior cat oc! pencils are traditional unless requested otherwise, whereas lineart & colors will be digital unless requested otherwise!

Pencils/Sketch Only: $10

Clean Lineart: $20

Colored: $25 (comes with a simple background, like in examples #3 and #4)

Shaded: $30

additional characters are +$2 each for kits and +$5 each for adult-sized cats!

Human Commissions

fullbody drawing of your human/oid oc or chosen character! these take me considerably longer than cat characters, so they are priced accordingly! pencils are traditional unless requested otherwise, whereas lineart & colors will be digital unless requested otherwise.

Clean Pencils/Sketch Only: $20+

Clean Lineart: $45+

Colored: $55+ (comes with a simple background like in example #4)

Shaded: $60+

for bust/halfbody pieces, prices will be lower and based on the complexity of the character, pose, etc. likewise, backgrounds can be requested as well, for additional cost. additional characters are $10+ each, again depending on the complexity of the design and pose.

LPS Customs

commissioned LPS custom of your OC, pet, or a fictional character of any kind! price varies. bases are selected by the customer and an appropriate link to purchase the base must be provided or the customer must have the base sent to me so i can customize it.

price varies by custom as price may include base price of being purchased by me, + shipping, + hourly rate for time customizing.

customs will be painted in acrylics, any sculpting will be milliput or sculpey, and sealed with matte or satin acrylic gloss + glossy varnish on the eyes. currently all my eyes are handpainted and i am not doing resin eyes.

my alaska clans don’t really have any notable naming conventions because cats interchange clans a lot (and i named everyone before i really thought about naming conventions lol) except that nicknames are sorta built into their society. since cats tend to have long names friends/family and clanmates tend to use nicknames more often in casual and familiar settings. nicknames can be just a cat’s prefix (loon as nickname for loonshadow) but can also be shortened or simplified further to a single syllable of the name (gray for graylingblaze or hem for hemlocklight). they can also end up as an abstraction of certain sounds in the name that warps into new sounds (rizi for horizonshine, pronounced “ree-zee”, etc). all cats end up with a nickname eventually, sometimes multiple, it’s kind of like a first name/surname situation in which the full prefix-suffix name acts as a more professional surname.

#pronouns also depend on familiarity #for example ‘it’ is the default pronoun for a stranger cat outside one’s own clan #and it’s not seen as derogatory or dehumanizing (defelinizing?) in any way it’s just the gender neutral default #i’ll make a post about their gender stuff eventually #alaska clans

faded/permadead cats count for this, so you could claim spottedleaf if you're brave enough

cats and creatures outside of the clans count too, so go claim midnight and rock before it's too late

no co-owning cats/visitation rights/whatever other rule-bending you're thinking of. you either get them or die trying like a real fan
