Yasmin Porat, a survivor of the bloodshed at Kibbutz Be’eri, near the boundary with Gaza, says many Israeli civilians were killed by Israeli forces.

An Israeli woman who survived the Hamas assault on settlements near the Gaza boundary on 7 October says Israeli civilians were “undoubtedly” killed by their own security forces.

It happened when Israeli forces engaged in fierce gun battles with Palestinian fighters in Kibbutz Be’eri and fired indiscriminately at both the fighters and their Israeli prisoners.

“They eliminated everyone, including the hostages,” she told Israeli radio. “There was very, very heavy crossfire” and even tank shelling.

The woman, 44-year-old mother of three Yasmin Porat, said that prior to that, she and other civilians had been held by the Palestinians for several hours and treated “humanely.” She had fled the nearby “Nova” rave.

A recording of her interview, from the radio program Haboker Hazeh (“This Morning”) hosted by Aryeh Golan on state broadcaster Kan, has been circulating on social media.

Notably, the interview is not included in the online version of Haboker Hazeh for 15 October, the episode in which it apparently aired.

It may well have been censored due to its explosive nature.

Porat, who is from Kabri, a settlement near the Lebanese border, undoubtedly experienced terrible things and saw many noncombatants killed. Her own partner, Tal Katz, is among the dead.

However, her account undermines Israel’s official story of deliberate, wanton murder by the Palestinian fighters.

Although it no longer appears on the Kan website, there can be little doubt about the recording’s authenticity.

At least one Hebrew-language account posted part of the interview on Twitter, now officially called X, and accused Kan of functioning as “media in the service of Hamas.”

Porat also gave her account to the Israeli newspaper Maariv.

However, the Maariv story, published on 9 October, makes no specific mention of civilians being killed by Israeli forces.

And in a half-hour interview with Israel’s Channel 12 on Thursday, Porat speaks of intense gunfire after Israeli forces arrived. Porat herself received a bullet in the thigh.

Not only does Porat tell Kan that Israelis were killed in the heavy counterattack by Israeli security forces, but she says she and other captive civilians were well treated by the Palestinian fighters.

Porat had been attending the “Nova” rave when the Hamas assault began with missiles and motorized paragliders. She and her partner Tal Katz escaped by car to nearby Kibbutz Be’eri where many of the events she describes in her media interviews took place.

According to Porat speaking to Maariv, she and Katz initially sought refuge in the house of a couple called Adi and Hadas Dagan. After the Palestinian fighters found them they were all taken to another house, where eight people were already being held captive and one person was dead.

Porat said that the wife of the dead man “told us that when they [the Hamas fighters] tried to enter, the guy tried to prevent them from entering and grabbed the door. They shot at the door and he was killed. They did not execute them.”

“They did not abuse us. They treated us very humanely,” Porat explained to a surprised Golan in the Kan radio interview.

“By that I mean they guard us,” she said. “They give us something to drink here and there. When they see we are nervous they calm us down. It was very frightening but no one treated us violently. Luckily nothing happened to me like what I heard in the media.”

“They were very humane towards us,” Porat said in her Channel 12 interview. She recalled that one Palestinian fighter who spoke Hebrew, “told me, ‘Look at me well, were not going to kill you. We want to take you to Gaza. We are not going to kill you. So be calm, you’re not going to die.’ Thats what he told me, in those words.”

“I was calm because I knew nothing would happen to me,” she added.

“They told us that we would not die, that they wanted to take us to Gaza and that the next day they would return us to the border,” Porat told Maariv.

In the Channel 12 interview, Porat elaborates that although the Palestinian fighters all had loaded weapons, she never saw them shoot captives or threaten them with their guns.

In addition to providing the captives with drinking water, she said the fighters let them go outside to the lawn because it was hot, especially as the electricity was cut.

🌱 Shadow work is deep diving into your heart, mind and soul. It’s a meditation on what really bothers you, pains you and matters to you. Shadow work can be really uncomfortable as you have to be transparent and honest to yourself. You have to face your shadow self and some parts you have hidden even from yourself. At the end it helps you reach acceptance, and processing traumas, unhealed emotional wounds and understanding yourself and your surroundings better.🌱

These are some shadow work prompts I worked with so far, I will add more with time. I hope it will be helpful.

Rubbing your hands together, you tried to warm them up as you walked into your apartment, shrugging your bag off by the table.

You saw a familiar jacket on the back of the couch and you smiled to yourself.

“I haven’t seen you in a while.”

“I’ve been away, you’ve not been buying shopping.”

You turned to the doorway to see the face of a very familiar superhero look around.

Anybody else would’ve freaked out, panicked or immediately began fangirling about a superhero being in the apartment.

For you it was normal.

“Takeout man, easy food.”

Carol sighed, pointing a spoon at you.

“I didn’t teach you to cook for nothing.” She scolded.

You grinned a little, shrugging your jacket off, pulling on her jacket and wondered into the kitchen.

Kneeling on a chair, you looked at Carol.

“This is breaking and entering ya know.”

“I have a key.”

“You have a key?”

“Yes?”

You both looked at each other confused for a moment.

“Oh yeah…” you mumbled.

Carol laughed slightly, shaking her head a little bit at you.

“Well since you’re here will you help me with my homework?”

“Yeah sure go get it.”

You jumped up, rushing to get your homework and you set it on the table, heading to the fridge to grab a can of soda.

“Thought you were good a math?”

“Not this kinda math, I suck at it.”

Carol hummed a little bit, picking up the paper, furrowing her brows a little and you snickered.

“You don’t know either.”

“I do! I’m just.. trying to figure out how to explain it…”

Laughing a little, you took it from her, sitting at the table, gesturing to the food that she was making.

“Thought I’d make something simple then we’ll go buy you actual food.”

“Alright.” You shrugged.

You began your homework, getting done what you could until the food was ready.

Carol took your homework, setting the plate down in front of you.

“Yes! My favourite!” You cheered.

Carol smiled a bit.

“Yup, I know you love it, so I thought it would be nice. I’ll be back for a while, so I’m going to make sure that you’ll eat real food not takeout.”

“You gonna stay here?”

“If you want, do you still have that spare room available?”

“Oh yeah I kept it done up just in case.”

She smiled at you, sitting down with her own dinner.

When you guys were finished, you grabbed your jacket, giving Carol hers back, making your way into the snowy streets.

Running into the store, you ran straight to the snack aisle.

Carol rushed after you, grabbing the back of your jacket.

“No, food then snacks.”

“No! Carol come on!” You whined.

“Nope.”

You huffed, throwing random things into the basket and she kept taking them out and putting them away.

Carol rolled her eyes.

“I may as well be I look after you enough.”

You ran upstairs stairs, barrelling through the door to your apartment.

Carol came in after you, gesturing for you to put the shopping away which you did while grumbling.

“I’m going to start calling you every week you know, making sure you actually go shopping.”

“I’ll just lie.”

“I’ll send people to check.”

You grinned a little bit at her, and you turned around.

“You really do care huh?”

“Course I do, why else would I be here?”

“To make me hot chocolate…”

“You’re helping I’m not doing it all.”

“Deal!”

You rushed over to her to happily help a huge smile on your face and she smiled as well.

For the longest time she had blamed herself for a lot of things, and then she just happened to stumble across you one day stealing some food.

Sure. So the API docs haven't been updated yet, but the format for the polls-results endpoint is:

So this has two problems: You get results UUIDs, not names, and you also don't know the poll_uuid to request for. So, you need to do an API read on the post, with npf set to true:

You'll see the poll UUID there (called the client_id), and the IDs/names for each of the results.

Now, if you don't have an account set up to let you hit the API, you can technically pull this information from the page itself, it's just a bit janky. Load the page, and make sure it's in the dashboard view, not the native blog view (if they have one).

So the URL should look like: "www.tumblr.com/{blog-identifier}/{id}", not "{blog-identifier}.tumblr.com/{id}"

OK, on that page, the easiest thing to do is open the content inspector and type this into the console tab:

Click the expand arrow on the item and answers, and you've got all the info you need to cross-reference:

I may write a python script that uses pytumblr to get this info and easily present it, if anyone is interested. It'd still need you to register and authenticate an app, so it wouldn't be super-simple to use even then, but it'd be worth it if you're doing a lot of research on polls.

Along with the rest of BLACKPINK, Nari officially renewed her contract with YG Entertainment for group activities in December 2023, but plans for her solo activities were not cemented.

Meanwhile, BLACKPINK's Jennie was the first member of the group to announce the launch of her independent label, Odd Atelier, in November of last year. Jisoo, on the other hand, is currently preparing to launch a label in partnership with her brother. Lisa established her own agency in February, LLOUD. The Weapons are losers and that's awesome

After Chapters 139-44 of Chainsaw Man I think it's safe to say that I love that none of the Hybrids have their lives together or are cool. It's so realistic for immortality rather than vampire maturity or whatever.

Denji and Miri being just teenage boys, though Miri needs respecting women lessons, is perfect especially how they're captured persona wise. Reze's portrayal as a child soldier was also authentic since CSMs world is absolutely built of exploiting the vulnerable or leashed. I hope we see her more soon.

The older Hybrids are also their own brands of either immaturity, apathy, or psychopathy, which makes sense since they're fully grown adults and their brains and conscious behaviours are fully developed. Katana and Whip being over-the-top and unreasonably, and self-righteous/a supremacist respectively, Barem being just Makina but a psychopathic Clergy man, and Spear and Quanxi being mirrors of the apathetic nihilism (Quanxi being hedonistic and loving her Fiends, meanwhile I suspect that Spear probably prefers the freedom of loneliness and how it doesn't tie him down) causes are great overall representations of the bad what if persons getting the strongest power imaginable.

The mind cracks easier than what people are willing to admit. Humanity is so bonded to primal desires and to the hedonistic search of fulfilling mundane objectives. Humanity can however deflect from these tendencies by finding fulfillment in other things like love and work, which are more socially honorable, but societies are not any more in control of the latter than they are from their sin. Gotham is a prime example of a society of deteriorated appreciation for the more humane side of existence, and it's consequences only seemed to delve deeper into it's own wound like a slug waddling on the salt that kills it.

Y/N had two options, and she only considered it smart to make a choice that got her the best result out of the cards on her deck, likewise her brother. Once within the Iceberg Lounge, she dedicated her nights to being compliant and presenting herself in a chagrined, coy yet evidently indulging manner as she served men. However this was far from her main focus, as she tried to build bonds with the veteran girls in the field, the ones that had access to the 44 Below. It was within the actual club that she had a chance to actually access to worthwhile connections and informations. Where the drugs flowed in and out like the important figures that were definitely not supposed to be there.

Selina Kyle was not particularly approachable, not only did she compose herself in a way repellent to anyone that was not a horny man with a death wish, but she was also particularly short with words and cynically cryptic, making it difficult to cross any words worth her time. Y/N was quite familiar with such personality, and although characters like this often tend to collide with negative outcomes, Selina had grown into her as well. It was not difficult, and as Y/N wasn't expecting Selina to surrender much trust, she could consider it a win to earn a smile from the girl whenever Y/N would offer her empathy in the 'tough nights'.

Selina hardly ever visited the 44 Below, but Y/N knew she had access. And it was when she heard about the accident with a girl and one of the displeased powerful customers, that from Selina's mouth slipped a slight complaint about the possibility of having to 'temporarily aid downstairs'. Y/N picked up on it and offered Selina an ear, resting her empathetic hand on the girl's thigh and a slight smirk of innocent friendliness. The rest was standard procedure, and eventually she not only gained a friend in Selina after so generously offering to take her place, but had successfully bypassed The Penguin and Falcone's strict filter of who did and who didn't work downstairs. It only took abusing some of the contacts her brother had built, the italians' cultural implications of family favors and Selina's good word.

The 44 Below was an authentic depiction of the underworld, figuratively and literally. As she descended in the elevator, she was being stared at by her reflection, trying to choke her with the fear that built up in the pit of her stomach. She had to visit The Penguin soon to pick up the drugs she had to distribute, but first she needed to take a look at her new field of work. She had specific instructions to not bother Oz until at least three a.m, as the trouble the Bat's tampering with their business had caused most likely needed to be discussed. It was during this time that she roamed the cramped under-club, making attentive inspection as her heels collided in a sweet sound against the ground. Her gaze paced between various important figures whose names she didn't know and didn't wish to discover. Information she acquired had to be strictly crucial, as the chances of her surviving her game narrowed the greedier she got with secrets.

She was fastly enough invited to seat by some men and girls whose faces she hadn't seen before, granted they worked specifically downstairs and gracing her with cold glares. Some were Falcone's thugs, others were police figures whose possitions they had omitted to mention. "Is work hard around here?" they'd ask sheepishly, attempting to get Y/N's attention before bringing up the incident with the girl and how they hadn't seen her around anymore.

"It's alright, it's just trouble with the frequents and the drops with the Batman thing..." She vaguely replied as she looked away with a smirk, avoiding to look at the girls. Batman had hardened the drug distribution and frankly, Y/N had no idea about the details of the girl and what had happened, but the opportunity showed up to mention the Bat and hear what they had to say.

"Ah, that freak. I really don't know why he cares, for all I know he has my men slaving away back at the Police Department searching the stuff he seized."

"That's Gordon" a man pointed his wobbly finger at the first spokesman, and his droopy drugged gaze turned back at Y/N. "he's obviously working for the Batman, whoever that guy is has a lot of money." Gordon. A mental note was pinned in her mind as her eyes dropped at her watch, marking just the time to flee and visit The Penguin. As she exited and made her way to Penguin's den in the Iceberg Lounge, leaning her body against the mirror in the elevator to avoid facing at her reflection.

"Welcome, doll." The Penguin's typical shit-eating grin and open arms greeted her as she pushed the shiny curtain of golden orbs to enter Oswald's lounge. She scanned for familiar faces; Falcone, some of his thugs and an unfamiliar face in a dark silver suit and of icy blue eyes that gawked at her behind his glasses, awfully young in comparison to the other men. They seemed to be still talking business despite it already being the time Y/N was indicated to come in, which could only mean it was nothing significant enough for her presence to be unwanted. "Baby, you've met Dr. Crane before haven't you?" As her tray was filled with the drugs she had to distribute, she found herself pierced by the new gaze.

"Take this to the commissioner's table, doll. And be careful with that, tell him the new stuff is courtesy of the Doctor here." Oz placed his chunky, cold hand on her shoulder, making her twitch at the sudden contact. Falcone's eyes were fixated on her, as if trying to find a strange confirmation in the way that she composed herself, or how she nodded and fastly turned to leave. She was new around, and even newer at the 44 Below, now in charge of taking the new stuff to an important customer. Falcone placed a strange sense of trust in her bond by blood to his previous pawn. After all, she was just a lonely runt, fear would take care of making sure that she was prudent with what she carried in her tray and what her consciousness witnessed.

"She's a real piece of work, ay' Doc?" Y/N could still hear the muffled voice of the teasing Penguin behind her as she left. The situation was becoming overwhelming by the minute, as she continued to be shoved with information she didn't need nor want, coming to terms with the idea that if she wanted to come close to the Batman, she'd have to deal with collaterals such as now knowing there was a new drug around, one which Dr. Crane seemed to be involved in and judging by the title by his name, likely to be producing. What itched Y/N was not the idea of a new designer drug in the market, or a new drug designer, but rather the familiar last name, where had she heard that before?

Today on Easter we celebrate the resurrection of Christ, His returning to the world that made death die. In Armenian we say Քրիստոս հարեավ ի մերելոց - Christ has arisen. But on this particularly special Easter, we celebrate also the presence of trans people in our lives and in this world.

The two quotes above are from Christ’s resurrection of Lazarus - He identifies himself to Lazarus’s sister Martha as the resurrection and the life, the source of her brother’s salvation, and tells her that anyone who believes in Him will never die. When He raises Lazarus from the tomb, He calls him to come out of his place of deathly imprisonment, and calls on his peers to take the bindings of the shroud off of him so that he may be free.

For the trans people in the audience, this may be a familiar narrative. I am far from the first person to identify the Lazarus narrative with a coming out story, and I pray I won’t be the last.

But I want to call some attention to a parallel with the scene of the resurrection being discovered later in John’s gospel:

Then Simon Peter came, following him, and went into the tomb; and he saw the linen cloths lying there, and the handkerchief that had been around His head, not lying with the linen cloths, but folded together in a place by itself.

John 21: 6-7

When Jesus Himself is resurrected, the first sign of this that the apostles have is the presence of His graveclothes in the grave without a body in them. As He commanded for Lazarus, He did for Himself. If we imagine Lazarus’s narrative as a transgender one, I think that this is the day for us to imagine Christ’s resurrection as a transgender narrative as well. He is the resurrection and the life, we are made in His image, and His resurrection is echoed every time a trans person chooses to live their own life in their own either authentic vision.

And, if you’re cis and wondering how to be more Christlike on this Trans Easter - Remember what He said to Lazarus’ compatriots: “Loose him, and let him go.” Encourage your compatriots to loose the bonds holding people back from living their truest life. Do the work yourself, as well, and bring the Kingdom on Earth that much closer.
