쌓아오는 일들이 이렇게나 어려운 걸 줄 누가 알았겠어.

어릴 땐 그저 살아가기만 하면 어른이 되는지 알았지.

어른스럽게 나이를 먹는 그런 방법을 어떤 어른도 알려준 적이 없어서.

나는 엄마만큼도 아빠만큼도 대단하지 않은 미숙한 어른이라 여전히 모든 일이 어렵다.

무던한 듯 속상한 일을 견디면서 크는거라고 그런 거라고 알아도 난 여전히 소박한 수준의 벽돌 즈음밖에 크지 못했다.

내가 쌓은 것들은 어떤 모습으로 보여질까,

나는 얼마나 어리고 어리숙하며 불온전한 사람인지, 내가 쌓아올린 것들이 나를 드러내는 것 같아 두렵다.

그런 인생은 뭐, 내세우기엔 조악하니까,

그래서 내가 그런거라고 그렇게 숨어버리게 된다.

최근 유현준 건축가의 유튜브에서 뉴욕에 대한 콘텐츠가 올라오길래 무심코 눌렀다가 시간 가는 줄 모르고 푹 빠져서 봤다. 어퍼웨스트부터 맨해튼을 지나 첼시, 브루클린까지 쭉 장소들과 유명 건물들에 대해 훑어주는데 이미 알고 있었던 곳인데도 몰랐던 이야기들이 숨어있다는 사실을 알게 되면서, 그리고 저런 시각이 있구나 싶은 놀라움 반, 흥미 반의 마음으로 두근거리며 경청했다.

<새로 알게 된 흥미로운 사실들>

1. 비 오고 쌀쌀한 오후에 후다닥 걸었던 하이라인이 알고 보니 아래에서 줄지어 가는 차들이 전혀 보이지 않게 설계된 레벨이라는 것, 그리고 그냥저냥 빈 공간에 식물들을 심어둔 것이 아니라 여러 모듈로 공간을 섬세하게 나눠두어서 사람과 자연이 한 공간에 있는 느낌을 줬다는 디테일이 있던 장소였다.

2. 마라톤 뛰던 센트럴파크가 인공으로 만들어진 공원이라는 사실은 알고 있었는데, 센트럴파크를 처음 기획했던 사람이 반대세력을 설득시킬 때 '센트럴파크를 만들지 않는다면 나중엔 이만한 크기의 정신병원을 만들어야 한다'라고 했다는 사실이 내 뇌리에 콕 박혔다.

3. 그리고 지난 뉴욕 여행 때 가보지 못했던 구겐하임 뮤지엄의 독특한 나선형 구조가 모든 층이 하나로 이루어진 층간 교류를 만들어낸다는 사실도 재밌었다. 생각해 보니 작년에 방콕에서 갔던 BACC(Bangkok Art&Culture Centre)의 한 전시관도 저런 나선형 구조로 되어 있었는데 구겐하임에서 영감을 받아 지은 것인가?

그 외에도 역사적 보존가치가 있는 오래되고 낮은 건물들의 용적률 권리를 사서 좁고 높은 펜슬 타워들이 지어졌다는 것도 흥미로웠고, 타임스퀘어 전광판 위치의 의미, 맨홀 등 배수구에서 스팀이 올라오는 의미 등 깨알같은 이야기들도 많아서 두 번, 세 번 더 뒤로 돌려 다시 봤다. 아마 뉴욕을 다시 가기 전에 또 복습 한 번 해보고 가지 않을까 싶네.

동해안 바닷가에 오래된 집이나 땅이 경매로 나온 게 없는지 종종 찾아본다. 관광지와 아주 멀지도 가깝지도 않아서 행락철 관광객의 소란에 생활이 위협받지 않는 곳. 최근에 지어진 집보다는 곧 부서질 것 같은 오래된 집 혹은 빈 땅. 해수욕장이 아닌 해안가에 바로 접해있으면서 마을이라고 부를 수 있는 생태계가 활성화되어있는 곳.

그런 집을 발견해도 당장 살 돈은 없다. 내 마음에 드는 집을 사려면 돈이 얼마나 필요한지 알아볼 겸, 오도이촌의 생활을 상상하며 일말의 긍정을 수집할 겸 찾아본다. 그런 집은 몇 년 고생해서 돈을 모으면 살 수도 있을 법한 가격이다. 그래서 마냥 꿈으로 치부할 수 없을 만큼만 현실적이다. 덕분에 상상이 더 즐거워진다. 오도이촌 생활할 집이 생겨도 주말마다 오가는 교통비가 부담스러운 형편이지만 아무튼.

내가 살 집을 직접 짓는 일은 가장 오래된 꿈이다. 집이 지어질 지역이나 지어질 건물의 형태는 살아오는 동안 꾸준히 변해왔다. 멀뚱멀뚱 서있는 건물 하나가 몇몇 나라를 여행하는 동안 식물과 조화롭게 동화된 건물이 되었고, 동해안으로 지역을 특정하며 집 앞에 바다를 마주한 마당이 들어섰다. 불을 땔 수 있는 아궁이가 하나 있고, 텐트를 한 동 펼칠 수 있을 만큼 넓은 마당이 있고, 수도가 하나 있어서 바다에 들어갔다 나온 몸을 바로 씻을 수 있고, 집 안에서도 파도를 관찰할 수 있는 큰 창이 있고… 막연한 형상에 구체적인 상상이 하나씩 덧붙을 때마다 언제고 현실이 될 거란 확신이 자라난다.

Since the first fix has actual impact on a person, what's the difference between a 4-7 and a 4-8? I know I'm a 4w3 and have both 7 and 8 in my tritype, but can't tell which comes first. I'm ISFP.

One has more issues with fear and security, the other with anger and boundaries.

The second fix implies it is your secondary most frequent concern. So, what you need to ask yourself is if you are a 4 that tend to be more preoccupied with your sense of "freedom" and if your image revolves more around being free spirited. Or are you a 4 that is more preoccupied with boundaries and "respect", and is your image more wrapped around looking tough and imposing.

If 7 is your secondary fix, you'll tend to be a tad bit more avoidant, excitable and uncommited, and if 8 is your second fix, you'll tend to be more pushy, daring and even more emotionally reactive than a typical 4.

Else than those little explanation, there are no way to make this easier for you. It's about which preoccupy you the most, or which tend to affect your 4 core issues the most. That demands introspection, self knowledge and self honesty. I could be more specific, but I would also need more specific questions about what makes it unclear to you.
