for obvious reasons it’s very hilarious that there’s such a split in stan’s characterization within the fandom to the point of this episode potentially splitting said dichotomy further. i have to say though that another episode premiering wherein stan plays a board game (which is a significant but still recent and therefore smaller aspect of his overall personality) doesn’t really shake my conception of stan because sometimes characters do things for plot. like, yes, stan loves board games -- but to then jump to the conclusion that it is essentially not just his only interest, but also an interest which prevents others (such as sports) is funny because that misses the point of the episode 

it’s important that stan loves board games because people in the real world like andrew tate - who randy is a mouthpiece for here - believe that certain traits can’t coexist with more “traditional” standards of masculinity. in fact, board games are such a gate-kept, male-dominated hobby and culture that randy’s attempt to pin it down as an effeminate interest or something like that just adds to the dramatic irony. stan is no stranger to pridefulness and aggression like his dad, but the joke is that stan is acting “manlier” than randy is in the episode because stan doesn’t worry, most of the time, whether or not he’s even perceived as manly enough

I’ve been looking at videos of Bruno Sammartino in his final run in mid-late 80s WWF and honestly it’s some pretty entertaining stuff. I was expecting Bruno to look like some old school legend that can barely move but is over through nostalgia but nah he could actually keep up with peak Macho Man. You can definitely see glimpses of how he became insanely popular for over a decade

Also heel Randy Savage and Miss Elizabeth are hilarious like the way Randy just waves her around as a human shield and Bruno is such an old school Italian Guy he doesn’t even wanna have a fist raised in the general direction of a woman

Fictional Character Ask: Miss Piggy?

Favorite thing about them: Where to start? Her glamor and confidence. Her hilarious ego. Her unstoppable feistiness and determination. The funny contrast between the elegant, glamorous lady persona she performs and the tough, brash "pig" side she can never quite hide. (Which I just recently realized is relatable to those of us on the autism spectrum trying to perform social expectations). Her unexpected moments of real sweetness and vulnerability. It's no wonder she's such an icon!

I also love that even though she's heavyset, she has total confidence in her own beauty. And even though the other Muppets sometimes make annoying jokes about her weight, she's still treated as beautiful and desirable by men of various different species.

Least favorite thing about them: Her violent streak, especially her habit of karate chopping Kermit. The tradition of female-on-male violence being played for laughs should really be questioned, not just with the Muppets but in all media.

Random headcanon: Quite a few of the other Muppet pigs are related to her. According to Frank Oz, she has many siblings – part of why she went into show business was because she couldn't bear the thought of becoming an overworked housewife with too many kids like her mother was. It makes sense to think that some of her siblings went into show business too, as did their children. Muppets Tonight made it canon that Andy and Randy, who originally played her brothers in Muppet Classic Theatre, are really her nephews – I also imagine that the two little girl pigs who played her daughters Belinda and Bettina in The Muppet Christmas Carol are her nieces, cousins to Andy and Randy.

Unpopular opinion: I agree with @ariel-seagull-wings that she looks better with curly hair, or at least wavy hair, than with straight hair. That said, her frizzy '80s perm in The Muppets Take Manhattan was a little extreme: loose curls suit her better.

1. Be Prepared- God Tier. Everything about this song is amazing. It’s memorable and has a great sound. Just the most epic villain song, and Jeremy Irons absolutely kills it.

2. Oogie Boogie’s Song- Loved this song since I was a kid and that’s not changing. Catchy as all hell, and so creepily entertaining. Also, Ken Page can SING!

3. Friends on the Other Side- Fun, jazzy and that ending hits SO hard. Gotta love Keith David.

4. Poor Unfortunate Souls- Just so much fun to listen to and sing along as dramatically as possible. The perfect song to introduce us to Ursula.

5. Shiny- Tamatoa is just such a fun villain and this song always makes me get up and dance. SHINY~!

6. Gaston- Never fails to make me laugh and just an all around fun tune. So overblown and conceited, it’s Gaston as a song! Also the meme parodies are fun.

7. Hellfire- An epic and dark tune, love the choir backing and chants. Not one of my top, but still awesome.

8. Mother Knows Best- Disney managed to take gaslighting and make it into a catchy tune. Props for that.

9. Cruella De Vil- A classic that you can’t help but hum every once in a while, but not one of my top.

10. Snuff Out the Light- It’s an okay song, I just don’t see Yzma as a villain to sing, I guess.

11. You’re Only Second Rate- So-so. It’s catchy enough, but the lyrics feel a bit too…silly for Jafar.

12. Hi Diddle Dee Dee- Eh. It’s a song that exists, kinda annoying to be honest.

1. Hellfire - SUPREME GOD TIER. In my opinion not just the greatest disney song, but the greatest villain song of all time. Absolutely gothic, epic, suggestive and fits Frollo's character to a T. The ending gives me chills EVERY time. I would sin for Tony Jay.

2. Poor Unfortunate Souls - Now I admit I prefer the Annapatsu version, but overall it's so delightfully bombastic and dramatic. You really feel like you're being manipulated by Ursula.

3. Friends on the Other Side - Keith. David. Is. Amazing. Oh, and Randy Newman killed it with the ending.

4. Mother Knows Best - It's like the friendlier version of Poor Unfortunate Souls and really nails the manipulative horrible parent feeling.

5. Shiny Gayest song and a great tribute to David Bowie, so you know it's amazing.

6. Oogie Boogie Song - A awesome ragtime halloween bop and Oogie's got some pipes!

7. Gaston - So hilarious and perfectly arrogant, just like Gaston.

8. Hi Diddle Dee Dee - It's a joke song and it's short... but goddamn it I find it hilarious. I feel like it's the perfect sort of fake conjob song for John.

9. Be Prepared - I love Jeremy Irons performance... but overall the lyrics and tone just feel too goofy for Scar? I actually would've loved if it sounded like the 2019 version, even if Scar never sang, the orchestrals sounded awesome.

10. Cruella De Vil - Eh... it's alright. A small little jazzy tune, but man we missed out on a frantic rocker for Cruella.

11. Snuff Out the Light - Eartha King nails it but overall it's mid.

12. You're Only Second Rate - Feels like them trying to capture the magic of Friend Like Me, except Jafar isn't Robin Williams by a longshot.

1. When Will My Life Begin- Whenever this song comes on, I am singing the lyrics at the top of my lungs. So bright and fun and really tells you who Rapunzel is.

2. Just Can’t Wait to be King- Such a fun and spunky tune, I’m always dancing and singing with baby Simba.

3. Almost There- Inspiring and catchy as all hell. I’ve always loved Tiana and this song really reflects her determination.

4. Go the Distance- Just a sweet, beautiful and kinda dorky song, perfect for Herc! Love this one to death!

5. Evermore- SO. FREAKIN. EPIC. Favorite song from the remake. Was…on the fence about them giving the beast a song, but they knocked it out of the park!

6. A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes- SO underrated, and just an all-around beautiful and sweet song.

7. Reflection- Such a gorgeous song, Lea Salonga’s vocals are on point and you can’t help but feel for Mulan.

8. Let it Go- Epic power ballad that I can’t help but sing to. Not my fave but I love it!

9. Friend Like Me- Robin Williams is incredible, so is the Will Smith cover, this song is just a bop.

10. Part of Your World- Jodi Benson is an amazing singer and this song is super fun for karaoke.

11. What Else Can I Do?- Love my girl Isabela and seeing her come into her own in this song!

12. Out There- A sweet and hopeful song that makes my heart hurt for Quasi. It gets me every time.

13. One Jump Ahead- Upbeat, frantic and fun, the perfect intro to Aladdin’s life.

14. Nobody Like U- Catchy as hell and SO 2000’s nostalgia.

15. Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo- So fun and makes me miss my childhood, pretending to be the fairy godmother!

16. Once Upon A Dream- Lived this song as a kid, but now…it’s just average. Vocals are beautiful but it just doesn’t stick out.

17. Belle- Eh, the song is catchy but I always felt so bad for Belle. Like, they are essentially *singing* about how weird she is TO HER FACE.

18. Someday My Prince Will Come- Beautiful vocals but just never grabbed my attention I guess.

19. I’ve Got No Strings- Just eh. Pinocchio’s part is cute, but the rest…just eh.

Sparky:

1. Reflection - Amazing vocals, absolutely tearjerking lyrics and instrumentals. It's one of if not the only hero song that's truly depressing. Also the part where she belts as she takes off her makeup... soul shattering and beautiful.

2. Someday My Prince Will Come - I know that it isn't exactly empowering but.... oh my god this song is absolutely gorgeous. It is sort of hard to understand what she's saying, but the orchestrals are phenomenal and the singer gives it everything she's got. I genuinely feel like tearing up everytime I hear it.

3. Part of Your World - This goes entirely to Jodi Benson. My god what a singer. Such an epic "I Want" song.

4. Friend Like Me - Both Robin and Will knock it out of the park. There's so much bouncyness and explosive music in this and it totally fits the character.

5. A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes - Just... beauty in auditorial form. Reminds me of a Sinatra song for some reason. My god is it beautiful.

6. Once Upon a Dream - It feels like a waltz and a lullaby at the same time. Reminds me of a Paul McCartney track.

7. Almost There - A very determined tune and subtle and grounded, perfect for Tiana. Randy Newman once again nailed it.

8. Go the Distance - Roger Bart perfectly fits it and you really feel for young Herc. It's very Broadway but I love it for that reason.

9. One Jump Ahead - Such a punchy and frantic track and really makes you feel like you are running alongside Aladdin.

10. Nobody Like U - GODDAMN! Easily the catchiest song for me and such a nice fusion of modern pop and 2000s boy bands.

11. Out There - Like you said, sweet and hopeful, though I don't really like Quasi's vocals.

12. When Will My Life Begin? - Perfectly fitting of Rapunzel, and a great pop song... but I feel like it's a bit too 2010 Pop song rather than Disney opener.

13. What Else Can I Do? - Eh... I just found the song to be sort of forgettable. Nothing against the character, the song just didn't stand out to me. Felt too much like a generic pop song.

14. Belle - It's just a song about how Belle's "odd". Not much else to say.

15. Let It Go - In my own opinion, extremely overplayed AND overrated and only saved by the fact that Idina Menzel is an amazing singer.

16. Just Can't Wait to be King - The child singer is amazing, but overall I guess I just found it to be a bit forgettable?

17. Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo and I've Got No Strings - Both of these are joke songs to me. Perfectly fine little ditties but just that, little ditties.

18. Evermore - This is entirely because they absolutely BUTCHERED Dan Stevens' voice with autotune. I mean... my god he sounds like a malfuctioning vocaloid! Pianos and strings are nice but the voice is just too horrendous. A shame, it could have been decent.

Season 2 episode 5 was phenomenal. My head is still spinning. A lot of stuff happened and the performances blew me away (this cast is God Tier)

The whole Misty and Crystal scenes were excellent. I was sort of expecting that conclusion and I was still surprised by it all!! Samantha was incredible and kudos to the actress of Crystal!

I hope Walter sticks around? Although if he does he'll probably end up dead? And I wouldn't want that. Seriously, he and Misty would make quite the good couple.

Finally Callie did something that made me like her XD No, seriously. The way she lied to help her mother was👌And I like to see that the Sadecki family is starting to look like a whole team. I really hate Saracusa didn't fall for it but congratulations on being a good detective. I'll give him that. Kevin should be ashamed of himself lol

I find it hilarious how Randy always comes in handy for the most hilarious shit. First being interrogated and slapped by Walter under Misty's orders, and now the whole exchange with Shauna. I wish the actor success.

The more the show goes on the more I believe Juliette Lewis and Sophie Thatcher are playing the same character and I love it. I never doubted it but getting more and more convinced because of these actresses performances feels incredible. Also because Natalie is such an interesting and weirdly endearing character, and both actresses knock it out of the park!

And speaking of mindblowing performances. Lauren Ambrose. Is. Perfect. Casting. Again. I love this cast so much. I can't wait to see more of adult Van. And I miss video stores so much😭 Thank you, Van for keeping the business alive. When she said she rents VCR machines? I wanted to hug her so hard. Also I liked Van and Tai remembering old shenanigans together. That they pulled a prank together at Shauna's wedding all those years ago was actually cute.

I don't know how many episodes season 2 has left but I feel the climax is near and I'm so excited to see all these survivors meeting again.

Lottie is being such a creepy about Shauna's baby lol But I can't help to feel bad for her a little when it is very much implied (or literally stated by Nat) that bad shit happens when she tries to help. Not about the baby thing, but I can sort of relate to the other part. And the silhouette of the antler figure in Lottie's shadow at the end? Simone's face was everything!! Did I mention already how amazed I am by this cast's talent?

Excellent episode all around. I love this show so much.

SCREAM 6- 2023 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

GHOSTFACE TAKES MANHATTAN!

Absolutely loved Scream 6.

The Core Four move from Woodsboro to New York City to go to college and ghostface isnt far behind them.

The opening was inventive and fresh. Samara Weaving was great. The moment ghostface took his mask off really shocked me. I thought maybe this was a stab movie or something. Then ghostface calls him and he becomes the victim. I didnt understand why until later in the film but really liked all this.

Also a great Friday the 13th 8 nod with that on the tv.

The New York setting was brilliant and a breath of fresh air. Absolutely love Woodsboro but was nice to mix it up. The scene in the convenience store was so cool. Ghostface with a shotgun! ❤️

Ghostface in general was really scary in this. Really vicious kills and a lot less clumsy than he usually is. Scream 6 had some really tense moments and chase sequences. The ladder kill was absolutely terrifying.

As for the characters....

Just as Scream 2022 did. This film gives plenty of screen time to newer characters before introducing any of the legacy cast.

I think it really worked here and set up a lot for the film. Tara and Sams relationship was very well written. Melissa Barrera and Jenna Ortega were both amazing. So happy to have them as the centre of these movies. Both very likable.

Chad and Mindy were great. Chads relationships with Tara was sweet and Scream 6 confirms Mindy is Randy (Meeks). Just as her uncle Randy used to do she is the horror buff who gets to to explain the updated rules. And does it very well. Although i think her haircut is probably the worst Scream haircut since Gale in Scream 3.

I was very happy they brought Billy Loomis (Skeet Ulrich) back again through Sams thoughts. Love Sams conversations with him. Its hilarious that he is always trying to convince her to become a serial killer like him but he also watches out for her. Theyve found the perfect way to bring Billy back and should continue to do so for as long as Sam is around.

Now as for his boyfriend Stu, he was mentioned to be dead and then Mindy said:

"If you believe hes dead".

This is all i need to hear to continue holding out hope for him to still be alive and the next killer...

Other returning characters were Roger L Jackson as the iconic voice of ghostface.

Courteney Cox returns as Gale Weathers. Despite saying she wouldnt write a book about the last movie she does anyway. This leads to one of the best moments of the film when Sam tries to punch Gale. Gale ducks it only to be punched moments later by Tara. Hilarious. Somehow this is also the first time she has talked to Ghostface on the phone. Her putting him on hold had me laughing. That whole scene was great, Gale is badass and put up a great fight. I was genuinely surprised she survived, i thought she was going to die for sure.

She is also now the only person to appear on screen in every Scream movie.

Neve Campbell declined to return over a salary dispute sadly. The film mentions Sidney, shes alive and well and has taken Mark and the kids somewhere safe.

I did miss seeing Sid as shes my favourite final girl ever, but the film was so good that the story didnt need her to work. Glad shes still alive though in that universe so we can bring her back. Pay Neve Campbell anything she wants she deserves it.

Also returning was Kirby (Hayden Panettiere). Everyones favourite character from Scream 4 was brought back from the dead and now works for the FBI. She took a special interest in the ghostface killings naturally and helps them solve the case. Great idea bringing her back. Shes a great legacy character, had good chemistry with the new gang and would love to see more of her.

As for the killers....

Really liked their motive. Its Richies family. They explain they killed the film student wannabes at the start after they got everything they needed from them.

This is a great nod to the killers motives in Scream 2 which this film parallels in many ways. The most obvious of which being they go to college (the frats and sororities even have the same names as in Scream 2).

Richies family out for revenge is like Debbie Salt and the guys killed at the start are like Mickey.

Good stuff.

This is now the most killers ever to be in a Scream film which was interesting. Even if you dont count the guys at the start, three is a record.

The double knife clean from the dual ghostfaces was perfect. Out of the kids i much preffered Quinn. I thought Quinn was really great when we saw her earlier and i didnt see the twist coming that she was still alive. Her brother seemed completely boring to me during the film. Showed a lot more personality when he was revealed as a killer though to be fair. I thought Dermot Mulroney was good but the bit where he called and warned Sam about Kirby being the killer sadly was a dead give away. Its obviously not Kirby so therefore was him. I thought the three killers was really interesting. They all had brilliant deaths i thought. Love that Sam resists being a killer but when she does get to stab someone she stabs them 100 times.

Also loved the way this movie pays tribute to every previous Scream film and not just the original. Great to see underated killers like Roman Bridger get some props. The ghostface museum filled with all the previous killers costumes and other props was absolutely incredible.

After seeing this on Wednesday for the first time i was annoyed to hear there is a post credits scene that i missed. Went back yesterday and rewatched it and stayed til the end.

Its a five second clip of Mindy saying:

"Not every film needs a post credits scene".

Now theres only one thing i had a problem with.

I didnt have an issue with no main characters dying. This is rare for a Scream film but you can do it every now and again as long as get some in the next sequel. With Dewey dead and Sidney unavailable, we are running fairly short of Legacy characters so im glad Gale and Kirby lived.

I love the Core Four so glad they all lived. But for gods sake you have to sell the stab wounds a bit more. Chad got stabbed like a million times, its fine for him to survive the film but make it seem believable, there is no way someone could live through that.

Mindy was even worse. Stabbed twice directly im the guts. So less than Chad, but not only did she survive but she was running around unphased 30 minutes later with the explanation that they gave her strong drugs? I absolutely loved the subway stabbing scene so will give it a pass. Very creepy and loved all the iconic horror costumes people had.

Scream 6 has topped the box office with an opening weekend of 44million plus domestically making it the best debut for any Scream film ever. Its been getting rave reviews from fans and critics and currently stands at a 7.4 on imdb. With all that happening its all but guaranteed we will have another Scream movie on the way before long.

What a time to be alive.

Avital Cohen has had a hard life, she's in constant pain due to her chronic pelvic pain and is forced to deal with it every waking second of her life, her photography dreams are not really going anywhere and she's doing everything she an to manage her family's kosher bakery, Best Babka in Brooklyn... all without collapsing. With how busy everything is and her chronic pain flaring, she needs help and when an all too handsome guy with an overqualified resume comes in she knows he's too good to be true but hires him because what choice does she have. Ethan Lippman is everything but perfect.... he is actually working undercover for his abusive grandfather who has asked him to steal the Cohen's secret recipe for their best selling babka. Ethan's life has changed ever since his parents died in a tragic accident and his grandmother's death has also added onto his grandfather's short temper. Ethan's youngest brother Randy is only obsessed with cannabis and his younger sister is in the hospital since the accident, leaving Ethan to deal with his grandfather. Ethan's grandfather is obsessed with destroying the Cohen's after the family dispute between them and his entire life his grandfather has been nothing but abusive but Ethan keeps forgiving him and making excuses for his behavior... yet the more time he spends with Avital and her family the more he is beginning to realize that maybe he doesn't know the whole story and maybe he should not have to deal with his grandfather's abuse. This one was an okay read for me but I just didn't really care for the romance between them all that much and the fact that there was a forced family reconciliation after everything that happened just didn't work for me as someone who doesn't really believe in allowing toxic family members back into their lives. I do appreciate the representation of chronic pain in this one but that's about it for me unfortunately. If you are looking for a romeo and juliet inspired retelling with a bakery then give this one a go maybe it'll work out better for you than it did for me.

Hello! So you were right, i did enter the grieving phase after finishing up the show. I did watch the ATX reunion panel though and that helped because it was such a lovely thing to watch. Although I do wish the actors got to talk more but oh well, Peter was hilarious in that and it made me wish that they did something like that again. #7 Powerfist Dougie

Aside from having the worst name of any card, because Powerfist sounds like a sex move that Garrison would teach a kindergarten class, he’s okay. Dougie is a hilariously overpowered character, and headhunters definitely have a place in the game, but he is weaker compared to other variants of Dougie from other themes. Freezing the enemy leader hardly does anything, Dougie is cool though.

#6 Marine Craig

Cool guy, I like him. I enjoy that he says his water gun is filled with dumpster juice and pee, or something like that. I really wanted to put him in the top five, but I just don’t think he makes the cut. I always start with him dying PvP battles, because his poison attack has a large range so almost every enemy that has been played is poisoned.

#5 A.W.E.S.O.M.E-O 4000

Tank characters are helpful, and the freeze is pretty cool, even if the range is small. It also goes in to effect pretty quickly, like the animation isn’t long and he freezes those around him very quickly. Also, another home made costume, very cool.

#4 Alien Queen Red

The poison is pretty good, and it hits every enemy on the board. I like her design, even though the first time I heard her line I though she was saying “My boyfriend has no cure” instead of “My poison has no cure” and I think that is a better line.

#3 Sixth Element Randy

Okay, this is a really good card. He has a charged attack that spawns a Roomba. I’m not going to lie, I do not have this card so I cannot begin to imagine how helpful this card is, all I know is that it’s a bitch to defeat. I think I have to put him at #3 because he isn’t easily the best, and his design is bad. That’s really it. It was super close between all the final 3, but I didn’t even get the reference to “The 5th Element” until I googled it. Go Leeloo

#2 Cyborg Kenny

The mind control is super cool. He has a powerful attack, a cool design and is just a pretty rad guy. His mind control lasts a very long time, which is really powerful and also very annoying when it happens to you. I’m pretty sure he’s wearing a Nintendo Power Glove, which is hilarious (even if it’s a huge missed opportunity because it would have made more sense on Powerfist Dougie)

#1 Gizmo Ike

Look how cute he is. But not only that, he can duplicate over and over again until the entire board is covered in an unstoppable swarm of Gizmo Ikes, and the New Kid is dead in seconds. Even the clones can duplicate, and he has a pretty high attack. He also only needs three energy to spawn, which is pretty good for a card that good.

2x12 1/2 has always been a boring ep for me but i was curious for his reaction to the Ben/Brian story: ‘Come on! Give me Brian and Justin. They probably missed each other since somebody had to cancel on Miami’ *looks at me like a kid on Christmas* ‘is that what gay clubs actually are like? they have random shower moments and shit like that? Summary;

Dee Laytner and Randy “Ryo” Maclane are two New York cops taking a needed vacation in England. Dee has very strong feelings for Ryo and wants to take this chance to advance their relationship (and if he’s lucky, maybe seduce Ryo). Ryo doesn’t understand his own feelings for Dee, and doesn’t know if he wants to (or should) acknowledge them. Their vacation and relationship is suddenly disturbed when murders and missing person reports keep surfacing around their hotel. The only common tie the cases have is that all of the victims were Japanese or Japanese descent. Dee and Ryo have to solve the case before Ryo, who is half Japanese, becomes the next victim. Fake(, styled in all caps usually, but I won't be doing that due to computer limitations,) is a drama-comedy ova that, while certainly conventional in regards to it's art direction(I mean, cmon, I've seen way too many ova's of this era feature the same droopy-styled 'doe' eyes for their ukes,) manages to be charming and funny while also maintaining a dramatic tone.

If I had to describe this in three words, it'd be "funny, but confusing."

Sure, reading the manga definitely would've helped to give context to certain characters(who even IS J.J in this story?), but that doesn't excuse the story pacing being an absolute mess. They introduce J.J, an obsessive and obnoxious coworker of Ryo and Dee's, nearly twenty minutes before the end of the ova! He has no time to stew and mesh with the rest of the cast(Brikky supremacy, by the way,) and generally feels like he was shoehorned in to tie up a loose end.

While we're talking about the story, can I just say that the ghost subplot(?) was complete nonsense? What genre is this? I thought it was a drama-comedy, not a supernatural. The first scene where the ghost was discovered was hilarious, but that's all that the ghost provided to the story.

The characters in this ova(, with the exclusion of J.J,) were fantastic, I loved them all dearly and I will certainly be thinking about Ryo being a mom for at least two weeks. They were all witty, and had distinct personalities from one-another while still maintaining impeccable chemistry. I could see them being an actual family, though I'd bet good money that they aren't meant to be interpreted as such.

I think that the villain got off too easy in the end. The line where Cal(, the one female character in this ova that doesn't die, by the way,) says that she doesn't hate the villain, and Ryo justifying the race-based attempted murder he just faced with "Oh, but [they] realized [their] mistake," was really distasteful to me.

Overall, it definitely could've been better. Did I like it? Yes. Would I recommend it to others? Yes, but only under very specific conditions.

Do not watch this ova as your first dip into 90s BL, you will regret it. But if you're a seasoned veteran, such as I, then I say go for it!

The rep in this one was subpar, but what more can you expect from late-90s BL. There is also a scene that is kind of rape-y and is played off for comedy, so be wary of that.

Points docked because both of the main characters are NYPD.

Honestly pissed off at Netflix right now as they cancelled The Babysitters Club. 😭😭😭 That show gave me so much joy in two seasons and they did an honestly brilliant job in adapting the books, one of my fave reads while growing up, and making the stories relevant to the present. It was SO GOOD.

And now no more heartwarming stories about the BSC. And mostly how dare they cancel it before Richard and Sharon, my awkward babies, could get married on screen??? Imagine that. I will forever treasure their perfect clumsiness. And the girls’ costumes. I will treasure those too because fashion!

Javi to be officially adopted by Cruz and Chloe with no drama. He fits with the family, he’s happy, so don’t come up with the aunt who comes back from the dead to reclaim him!

I expect nothing less than some shenanigans from Mouch and Herrmann, better halves friend version. Let them be their usual lovable and cranky selves and I’ll be happy.

Diane and Kurt

Who said “I love you” first: Not in those exact same words, but canonically it was Kurt. I think he was the one to also utter ILY first later on as Diane probably needed a bit more time and reassurance.

Who would have the other’s picture as their phone background: Kurt even though it took him ages to switch to a smatphone because you know the man. I imagine that if she has a non-work phone, Diane also has a picture there with quite the gallery from their dates and vacays.

Who leaves notes written in fog on the bathroom mirror: Diane would totally leave sweet and ironic stuff on the mirror for her fave cowboy to see. The word cowboy might actually feature in those messages as well.

Who buys the other cheesy gifts: Hands down Diane. But they both have a good track record of cheesy gifts, as we know.

Who initiated the first kiss: Again, canonically Kurt. Not that she minded one bit.

Who kisses the other awake in the morning: I feel Diane peppers his face with kisses in those instances when he is still sleeping.

Who starts tickle fights: Kurt because he loves her laugh.

Who asks who if they can join the other in the shower: I think they might take turns there. Probably Diane does this more often than he does.

Who surprises the other in the middle of the day at work with lunch: Kurt. Because Diane never leaves work 🤣

Who was nervous and shy on the first date: She was definitely the most nervous of the two, trying to babble her way through the date and fill the silence also to avoid hearing her brain and her ancestors telling her that it was a very bad idea.

Who kills/takes out the spiders: Kurt gently takes them out as the good country boy he is. Diane is not a fan.

Who loudly proclaims their love when they’re drunk: Oooh, Diane probably gets tipsy a bit more easily but I feel that Kurt would be the one yelling it from the rooftops when really drunk.

South Park From The POV Of A Fangirl

Season 25 Episode 1

Okay so first off let me just give this episode a little bit of credit for having the least amount of Randy screen time in YEARS. I’ve always preached that South Park was at it’s peak when they made episodes revolving around the kids and how they respond to the actions of adults. Especially episodes that would make the characters over exaggerate what was suppose to be a causal situation. These episodes were always random and were never a part of some long story arc, as the events would be forgotten about in the following episodes. Recently, South Park has taken on long story arcs about the same situations (ex. Tegrity farms, Perseident Garrison, Gerald’s Trolling and the Pandemic). These types of episodes worked for the iconic trilogy’s such as Imaginationland and Black Friday. But to me, the recent episodes and story arcs felt repetitive and forced. And honestly these have been the worst seasons in my opinion. Fortunately, based of the first episode of this new season, it seems like they’re going back to making episodes with the same vibes as the glory days of South Park. It was really nice to get a break from the drawn out story arcs, and be given a simple episode about a random thing such as pajamas.

Unfortunately, the episode was surprisingly uneventful and the jokes were pretty bland. They just repeated the same two jokes throughout the episode and it was kinda disappointing. Don’t get me wrong I loved how cute it was with the kid’s and their passion for pajama day. But SP must have done something to me because now, if an episode isn’t crazy or all over the place, I get bored by it. This episode was very simple and to the point, which I usually wouldn’t mind. But this is South Park. We expect crazy outcomes and this one just wasn’t it.

But hey, I’m not gonna be a hypocrite. I did ask for this kind of episode. And honestly I probably needed it after the mental torment I went through while watching the recent seasons/specials. Perhaps we all needed a simple and somewhat lighthearted episode such as this.

This episode may have been a bit disappointing on it’s own but I still believe it brings optimism for a better season this year. As long as they stick to the random episodes and stay away from worn out storylines.

And now for the ratings! ✨

Things I liked:

• The “I’m so done” face Liane gave to Eric after trying to help him

• For some reason Kyle was the only one who looked legit pissed off by Mr. Garrison in the beginning and that was a hilarious little detail I noticed (why he so angry?)

• Craig craved violence and Clyde was student of the month at one point (don’t think I missed that)

Things I disliked:

•The repetitive jokes

•It needed more interactions between the mc’s

•Umm Cartman? Dealing with a sucky thing and not doing something about it? The heck? I’m surprised he didn’t up and hire a hit man to kill PCP or something. Our boy is just tired at this point. 😔

Kyman Rating: 1 out of 10

They didn’t even interact. Also why am I still including the Kyman rating when I’m such a big multi shipper now? (Should I change it to “Ship of the day”)

In that case I’d pick Creek for this episode. Look at them. They’re in love.
