Class of Heroes: OCs - Zanshi Zanzomori
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Zanshi Zanzomori: The Scarface Blue Samurai is a Human with a dark past and self-loathing who has a chance of redemption.
Zanshi is a swordsman-based wielder who studies the art of Major Samurai and Wizardry Magic. Mostly, he tends to be the party leader occasionally; his adventures were a hard road, but earn his reward when he survived.
Somehow, inside, he wishes to die for the cost of his childhood sins of PKing. But his colleagues encourage him to never give up and move on forward. Starting out on his new life of adventure will become his true redemption.
Despite his self-doubt and dark side, Zanshi is a polite person when it comes to his good side. He cares for his allies and friends -especially Renmia, an elf girl in love with him. Though he lacks socializing and tends to stay quiet, he can also be serious when things go on with tension or emotion.
Zanshi is the leader of his Party, "Team Zan Bluestars." He tends to fight in the front row, and when he gets stronger, he sometimes strikes enemies in front. For his Wiz'magic, he relies on his Floating Spell to avoid pits and traps on ground-floor tiles. However, this will wear off if tiled on an anti-magic floor.

Plot is actually happening in Class of Heroes. In as much as we're going to get plot.
I've taken on and defeated all the Advanced quests. They were, uh...a mixed bag. Most were really easy, but the Thievery one was bullshit. It's on the same floor as the Advanced Combat one, which was stupid easy we rocked its shit, but then we encountered the Thief who hit everyone for Fear so I couldn't cast, and hits like a truck so we wiped. I was not happy.
I also completed the quest for the Labyrinth. That was. Irritating, if I'm being honest. There's no map, so you rely on spells to make the map appear, which isn't the worst thing. What is the worst thing is that the first labyrinth relies on those pure dark zone tiles where you can't see anything, including your map, but it's actually a maze and the only way to push through is turning on volume and listening to the anime girls screaming about bumping into walls. If it wasn't clear, I disagree with the pure dark zones. The boss was hilarious, though. Big thing pops up, level goddamn 20, I get ready to get blasted to hell. Throw up my Impenetrable Wall team maneuver, get ready to buff and cast all my best shit...and my Celestia girl swung her +5 super hammer that has a max damage threshold of over 200 and we killed it in two hits. It didn't even attack. Despite a rough start, I feel like we've kinda blown past the "I understand but am struggling a bit" straight into "very little seems able to stop me." But, overconfidence got me once before.
They seem to be setting up the Labyrinths as the big focus, and I'm now on my way to get the next key. They're doing this thing that some of the Etrian Odyssey games do that's really funny, where they're like "Wow, you're so good, no one's ever made it this far!" and you're like super early in the game. It's very funny.
Right now my big exploration issue is one of inventory. They do not let me hold enough stuff, man. And the cluttered inventory spaces create major issues, as far as organization. I have gotten some good gear, like the aforementioned hammer, a bow which lets my human mage deal good damage, some funny +8 armors, and a Scrap that I literally cannot identify. No seriously, I must've tried like a hundred times with the Bishop, and no luck. I assume identification relies on your level, and the level 1 Bishop I hired just to appraise stuff couldn't do it. I checked, and it's like 12000 gold to identify it at the shop, so I am assuming it's roughly endgame equipment. Maybe, similar to Etrian Odyssey, bosses drop big stuff when you defeat them.
I haven't yet changed classes, but we're getting close. I wanted to get my characters access to all eight levels of spells before transitioning. We're up to rank 6 spells right now. My intention is to look at shifting everyone to new spell types. I'd like to get some Psionics going, and I might aim to get my Gnome into Summoning. I think those magic circles are for summons? No one can get them to do anything, which implies to me that they're for summoning beasts into this dimension or something. I've seen quite a few, so I'd like to do that. Human will likely go for a Psionics class, and I think my Elf is going to go into Wizardry so she can cast both healing and damaging spells. Not sure on the Celestia one, still deciding. Felpurr is my Thief, and I'll likely push her into more combat-oriented classes, though I am a bit hesitant to do that. We rely so heavily on Thief to crack chests, but there are spells for that too.
Progressing smoothly. I feel like I need to just charge the main story, because most of what I'm encountering is still easily blown away. Apparently, bosses included.

Mirrorverse Snippet- The Fair Sea Witch
Here’s a little moment Sparky and I RP’ed for the MV universe with Mylensula! This takes place after Marc’s Mirrorverse short! Enjoy! @imsparky2002 @artzychic27
A scream of fury rips through the room as objects of varying size are lashed about with whips of Mylensula’s tentacles, her pale purple face having taken on an unflattering red hue.
“AAAAARGH! It's not fair! What does that imbecilic little songbird have that I don't?! What makes her so much fairer than me?!”, the sea witch howled, hearing that blasted mirror say that spineless princess was the fairest over and over in her head. It made no sense! It was then that she felt a comforting hand on her shoulder.
“Not a thing in the world, dearest Mylene! You surpass her in every way!”, Juleficent soothed, rubbing her friend’s shoulders, “You’re the most feared sorceress in the seas after all!”
“She's some waifish little hippie, but you, you are a goddess!”, YzAlya then chimed in, giving one of her tentacles a comforting pat, “And I don't waste my time with ugly people, you know this.”
“But the magic mirror can never tell a lie! And it said she is the fairest of this world.”, Mylensula pouted, crossing her arms, “Marc is the fairest in our world, not me, so her beauty surpasses my own!”
“Oh Mylene, you know that blasted shard is biased in favor of those who do deeds seen as 'good'.”, Juleficent placated, her lip curling with disgust as she put the finger quotes around the last word.
The sea witch nodded reluctantly, but still didn’t seem quite convinced, when she felt a familiar and comforting pair of bulky arms hug her from behind. She smiled and let out a soft giggle as she felt her Spookums nuzzle the back of her neck.
“She ain't got nothin' on you, Pun'Kin! Yer the purtiest li’l thing to ever come outta the oceans, don't let that hunk'a glass tell ya otherwise!”, Ivan Oogie rumbled, Mylensula blushing as she turned and hid her face in his chest, and YzAlya gained a devious grin.
“You know... if you removed Little Miss Rosy Cheeks from the picture, then YOU'D be the fairest Mylene in the land.”, the potions master said slyly, tapping her fingers together.
“I'd like to, believe me. But you saw what Ice King did when our Marc threatened her. It seems they're rather protective of that squeaky-voiced twit.”, Mylensula pouted, remembering the ice barrage from earlier. The Mistress of all Evil then smiled wickedly.
“Trust us, darling, we'll find a way to get past their defenses. Isn't that right, Ivan? Wouldn't you do ANYTHING to make your ‘Pun’Kin’ happy?”, Juleficent purred, fingering the orb of her scepter.
“Don't you worry, darlin'.”, Ivan Oogie said, scooping his sea witch up into his arms, “We're gonna find a way to get rid'a all these 'heroes. That little chipmunk and her hunchback freak won't stand a chance against us!”
And with that, the four villains began to laugh maniacally. Man, that was always cathartic!

honestly with how fun and smooth CoH AE has been, I'm having a massive deja vu to back to when the EO HD remasters came out lol.
-Both came during the first half of the year
-Both were announced out of nowhere
-Both are really well made remasters of cool DRPGs from the late 2000s
-Both make so many improvements over the originals but without changing what made them good in the first place.
-i bought the games asap
-i like these games
-i am literally just focusing on the first one in the series again instead of the others, even if the remasters came out at the same time.
-adkglajgk,cxnbxmckbnl--
-i'm having brainrot rn just ignore this post

Okay, Class of Heroes. I think I have broken in. I now have Understanding of some things.
I was right: you need to take the early classes first. The spells you acquire are based on leveling up, and you DESPERATELY want two people on Mage to learn offensive spells, so you can clear out all the enemies that are super physically tough. Spells kick unbelievable ass, one-shotting pretty much everything except for that one enemy that may as well be a game over screen. So that's a positive.
I have also figured out a truth. Never buy from the shop. Ever. Alchemy creating your weapons for you is just infinitely more beneficial. It's time consuming! It takes forever to find stuff! But it's well worth it. In the time it took me to be able to afford one (1) weapon from the shop, I achieved enough material to get an axe, some knuckles, and a sling. So now my team went from every fight being a bit of a slog trying to muscle through even basic enemies, to annihilating most opponents. I'd like to get the club for my Celestia Priest, but I need wood.
I'm now at level 4. Leveling is slow business, but we're infinitely more established than the first team. I still see stats drop sometimes, but it's mostly been based on race. Like, the Bahamoon dragon girl lost some Wisdom because her tradeoff is physical bulk at the cost of magical, and the game said no to putting too many bonus points in that. Which feels like bullshit but whatever. The other is Vit on the Gnome. They are destined for frailty, I suppose. I don't regret it though, losing those points on level isn't nearly as devastating as not having them, given how it impacts base HP. It sucks to lose the points, but it's still a good trade. Spell slots also upgraded at level 3, giving me access to tier 2 spells. So now my Gnome can cast a shock-type spell. My Human mage can too, but she gets less casts until level 4, when the spell slots catch up and she gets four casts.
Now, this is something I looked up, but apparently spells stay. Like, if I switch from Mage to Priest? All the Mage spells are still available, but I can learn Priest spells as I level on that class too. I believe I lose some spell slots on whatever type of magic I'm not currently majoring in, but I assume that's the purpose of the higher-tier classes, where they tell you that you can retain such and such spell list. I haven't yet obtained any Psionics, I am curious because that sounds like buff magic and we do not get more than 4 casts, so I'm kinda worried they won't be worth it. But who knows, maybe the buffs are absurdly powerful to offset limited uses.
Oh, and I found a map of the Novice area. Apparently there is a minimap, you just have to find the item in the dungeon to unlock access. Which. Alright. I'd like to just be able to see, but this is fine.
Anyway, finding my stride. Still messing around in the Novice dungeon, but fingers crossed we can start making progress soon. Like, actual progress.

Class of Heroes - XYston
Xavier Roth - Gaston
The demigod son of Hades, known in human terms as "Bob Roth". While he's beloved by most girls in his village, at school he's seen as the arrogant jerk he truly is.
He is obsessed with beating Kim, as the boy is the demigod son of Zeus, Bob's rival. He also can't stand that they prefer Kim's modesty and biceps.
He keeps trying to woo Rose to be his future wife, as she always turns him down. Xavier has to be wary of a certain beastly princess if he wishes to avoid getting mauled for his harassment of her girlfriend.
To say he is bigoted towards hybrids is an understatement. Xavier has been suspended before for attempting to brutally attack them. He has experience in hunting animals.
Xavier desperately wants to make his father proud, something Bob takes advantage of.
He has plenty of antlers for decorating. A surprising yet fitting choice for XY. BTW, he's not as buff as OG Gaston, more like a lean-buff. Make sure to check out Class of Heroes. @artzychic27 @msweebyness
