Meiji Tokyo Renka: Full Moon first launched for PS Vita on August 25, 2016 in Japan. It is a ported version of Meiji Tokyo Renka, which originally launched for PlayStation Portable, featuring a new route for one of the characters, as well as other new content.

Here is the story synopsis, via VNDB:

The protagonist, a quite normal high school girl named Ayazuki Mei, meets the self proclaimed illusionist Charlie on a night with a red full moon. Due to his hand she travels through time to the Meiji era of Japan. There, where Mononoke had been observed, was a sort of mysterious Meiji Era “Tokyo”. Following Charlie’s lead, she arrives at the Rokumeikan building. Waiting at the party the protagonist sneaks into are an assemblege of historic personages. Ogai Mori, Shunsou Hishida, Otojirou Kawakami, Kyoka Izumi, Fujita Goro, and Yakumo Koizumi. During the protagonists interaction with those men, the prized Meiji Era ability to see Mononoke “Tamayori” is awakened within her. Because she holds this power, her relationship with those men evolves… In an unfamiliar era, an awakening of love blooms by living among these handsome men and interacting with them. Will the protagonist return to her original time? Or…? A love that crosses space-time… What could the conclusion be?

Cozy Caravan ‘Developer Walkthrough’ gameplay

LOST EPIC PS5 and Switch physical editions launch August 8 in Japan

Publisher One or EIGHT and developer Team EARTH WARS will release physical standard and Deluxe editions of LOST EPIC for PlayStation 5 and Switch on August 8 in Japan, the companies announced.

The standard edition will be priced at 3,828 yen, while the Deluxe Edition will be priced at 9,680 yen. The latter will include a copy of the game, an outer case featuring a new illustration by Namie, the original soundtrack CD, an 100-page art book, and an acrylic stand.

LOST EPIC is currently available digitally for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Switch, and PC via Steam worldwide.

Oh, the other day, I finally finished the light novel SCP Foundation: Iris Through the Looking Glass.

I knew some stuff about the SCP Foundation and a few SCPs beforehand, mainly from watching playthroughs of SCP Containment Breech, though many in this weren't in that game, like Iris Thompson/SCP-105 of course, the apparently infamous Dr. Bright, Josie the Half-Cat and some others.

I ended up looking into some of the SCP/characters in this, and man, Iris' story is pretty sad, though things are a bit better here for her. I like her interactions with the MC, ***(his name is redacted in usual SCP style), SCP 105-C, and the stuff they get up to in the facility.

I think anyone into SCP stuff will probably like it.

Astrolabe Games announced that the FUTU Studio-developed visual novel Shanghai Summer is available now on Nintendo Switch via the Switch eShop, with a free demo available. The game was initially released on PC via Steam on February 8, 2024.

Shanghai Summer is a visual novel set in the summer of 2003. It follows the story of the protagonist, Baichuan, as he experiences a series of “anomalies” over twelve days. The narrative unfolds in Shanghai, where Baichuan starts to sense something unusual about his life, triggered by an unexpected invitation from his long-absent ex-girlfriend, Qiuyu. This leads him into a journey through what feels like twelve lucid dreams, where time behaves anomalously around him.

The gameplay involves players collecting ‘Topics’ and ‘Clues’ from everyday interactions, allowing them to delve into the hearts and minds of key characters in Baichuan’s life. These interactions are not just about understanding others but also about drawing inspiration and comfort from them. The goal is to turn the small events in Baichuan’s life into strengths, culminating in the twelfth night’s finale, where he attempts to “fix” the shattered dream.
